This is a little paradise! The "Umufe" Family Home is a cozy 3-bedroom home that is located a few steps from the shore. It is equipped with a kitchen, and a beautiful patio overlooking the lake. The home is located away from the hustle and bustle of the city, just 45 minutes to an hour drive from the Capital: Kigali. Come on over when you need to recharge. You can be back in town in time for a meeting the next day, or relax longer, and have a good time. Transportation can also be arranged!

I needed a break after a busy week in Kigali and I was pleased to find this amazing home. The team who works at the place were friendly and accommodating. They listened to feedback and so did the guest. The place is 15 Km after Kayonza towards Gatsibo. Not quite at the lake but the view of the lake give min away is great. The food from the Resto was equally great. The place is advertised as entire but at some points the team may need access. I requested the host to make that very clear in their description for guests who may want complete privacy. I would certainly book again as I felt refreshed here.

One of the nicest places ever, you feel you own the lake, amazing views snd very big garden with tree house seating to chill on the swing. The house is beautiful i. Its simplicity. The owner is a great man, have driven all the way from Kigali to us when he learned that our car was stuck in mud, the road to the property is very easy but I decided to drift off the main road to try some off roading stunts, lesson learned, dont miss with the mud in Africa, its different than the mud you know! The housekeeper Patric, is very dedicated and thorough person, hats off to him You can use the boat or the puddle to go around the lake. Try the nearby fish pub, they cook nice fish.

J'ai eu le plaisir de séjourner chez Evode et sa femme. Hôte très accueillant et serviable. Assez flexible et réactif. Ils m'ont fait d'excellentes recommandations pour des restaurants avec la nourriture locale et une balade sur le lac kivu. La femme d'Evode m'a offert un petit déjeuner bien copieux. L'appartement ressemble à la description avec une chambre très propre. Le seul petit bémol l'appartement est situé en bordure d'une route nationale. J'ai été réveillé à 6h du matin par le trafic. Encore merci pour ce séjour et au plaisir d'y retourner.

The accommodation was as described. Be sure to ask for the exact address of the property in advance from Silaa. Everything went very well, and I highly recommend this place.
