  • Driftwood Cottage has a fantastic view down to the beach. It’s is beautifully decorated inside and very clean. Although maintaining character, everything you want to be modern, is. For example, extra plugs, wine fridge, fire. There is no noise from the neighbours even though the cottage is a terraced property. We had a lovely stay

  • My friends and I stayed for four days. The location is stunning and just what we needed! It's a very cosy place and great with a real fire - perfect for a remote get away!

    Sarah2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Peace and tranquillity. Clean, cosy, comfortable. Very private location with great scenery, gentle local walks, and the coast and drama of Snowdonia within a few miles. Having said this, except for a couple of early morning forays round the local lanes, we didn't budge from in front of the open fire, reading and doing jigsaws, stroking Charlie the ginger cat. Would return and would highly recommend.

    Michelle2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a visit to Snowdonia Park. I visited with two friends and we had plenty of space in a great old place. Pete was very welcoming. I would definitely visit this place again.

The spacious, well equipped and comfortable Garden Flat is ideal for a quiet, escape from it all, holiday in rural North Wales. It has views of the Snowdonia mountains and wonderful sunsets from the private patio. Conveniently situated for many local attractions.
Cysgod y Coed is a converted 200 year old barn complex set in a very peaceful location amid beautiful countryside on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The Garden Flat is a roomy comfortable ground floor apartment attached to the main house, with its own private entrance. The Garden flat has a spacious entrance porch leading into a large living/dining room with TV, Free-view box and free Wi-Fi. There is an electric coal effect fire and central heating. Leading off the lounge is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave oven, gas hob and electric oven. The flat is essentially for a couple, as the large bedroom is furnished with a king-sized bed (bedding is provided) but there is room for the single truckle bed provided and a travel cot available if required. There is also an en-suite bathroom with an over bath shower. Please bring your own towels. Outside there is a very private large decked patio with a seating area overlooking the surrounding countryside and facing west so the sunsets are glorious.
The Garden flat is set in secluded, beautiful countryside half a mile from the village of Rachub where there is a well stocked shop and a pub. Buses also run from here into Bangor. The town of Bethesda is 1 mile away and here you will find 3 small supermarkets, Indian (award winning!) and Chinese takeaways and 2 fish and chip shops. The city of Bangor is 6 miles away. On the doorstep are the Carneddi Mountains and a 20 minute walk will take you up onto the hillside with many walks for you to enjoy. The Ogwen Valley is 10 mins drive away and Betws y Coed is 13 miles away. Llanberis and the Snowdon Railway are 12 miles away and Anglesey with its wonderful beaches is about a 30 minute drive. Our nearest attraction is the Famous Zip Wire (Zip World) which is 10 mins by car. Nearby National Trust properties include Penrhyn Castle, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens and the Cadw castles of Caernarfon , Beaumaris and Conwy are within a twenty mile radius.
  • The garden flat was amazing! Stunning location with some amazing walks very nearby. Patricia and Pete were amazing and Pete really made us feel at home and stopped at nothing to make sure we had a great experience. The value for money was incredible. Definitely recommend!

    Andrew2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little quiet stay, nice and out of the way with some great local walks. Patricia and Pete were super accommodating with dogs and extra guests. Would highly recommend - everything we needed.

    Gemma2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely last minute weekend away at The Garden Flat. Pete sent us full details straight away, directions were spot on and our dog received a warm welcome too. As described on their listing the cottage is remote and down a ‘rustic’ lane. Fine for most cars, just take it slow - I wouldn’t bring anything with low suspension in case you were considering bringing the sports car! The flat was more spacious than we were expecting with oodles of room for the three of us. A self contained annex / cottage with everything you need in the kitchen if you wanted to cook and a huge comfortable bed. The porch area was great for drying the dogs paws. There is no pretence, we received a lovely warm welcome, the perfect place to stay with your dog to explore snowdonia and Anglesea.

  • Communication was quick and check in was simple. The owner greeted us, showed as where to park and ran through everything. He even leant us a dog lead as we forgot ours. Rooms are much bigger then the photos show. It isn’t 5* luxury which is reflected in the cost, but more then met expectations and has everything you’d need. Great location for walks and minutes away from several towns. Would definitely stay again

    Beau2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful place to get away from it all. Surrounded by trees and mountains there is nothing to hear apart from the rain hitting the leaves. Patricia and Pete are very welcoming but absolutely leave you to your own thing and we only really saw them when we were getting in the car to go out or come back. Very old-fashioned inside but that makes the flat even nicer. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with microwave and oven etc. It's a bit out of the way but very easy to find with a sat nav will take you directly to their door almost. We spent 3 nights here and we absolutely loved it and I can assure you that you will too.

Everything was just perfect and I really cannot wait to visit again, I would highly recommend visiting to all my family and friends! We enjoyed a lovely glass of Cava in the evening with warm blankets and snacks before bed, and used the kitchen facilities to cook a English breakfast! I have some wonderful pictures of your dogs and cats, they absolutely loved my little Sister, they wouldn’t leave her alone the entire visit! The dogs loved placing fetch with a stick, and also knocked for us to come and play with a stick in their mouths at 9am this morning! Lovely dogs! Lovely touch with the milk, sauces, shampoo, conditioner and lots more!! Thanks again! P.s thanks again for keeping hold of the bits we didn’t spot when packing away! Amy x

  • Great property. Clean and tidy. All you need for a home from home. To arrive after a 5 hour drive and have the basics in place (tea, coffee, milk and sugar) so you can just come in and put the kettle on, that’s service. Property has great views over the valley and out to sea. The area is rural and very peaceful. Only a 5 minute drive to Zipworld which was handy. Will definitely be going back in the summer when the weather will hopefully be better.

Llanfairfechan is a quiet and very pretty seaside village. It boast two cafes, a bistro, two convenience stores, craft shops, 4 pubs, and lovely walks. There are three takeaways: Indian, Chinese and fish & chips. All recommended! (On Monday & Tuesday evenings the pub and bistro aren’t open for food - though the takeaways are)
  • Gareth and Andrew are the best hosts we have met via air b&b. The downstairs self contained accomodation has everything you need, including your own waterfall! Very comfortable and clean, a warm welcome and a great breakfast included. The best value for money you will find within shooting distance of the Snowdonia mountains. Cant recommend highly enough!

    Robert2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew was so friendly on arrival! There were pads of nice personal touches, such as cereal, teas and coffees ready-to-go and laid out for us. Andrew knee we needed to be away early, and got up to cook us both a delicious breakfast, which was what we really needed before going for an orienteering competition. The room downstairs was private, with a beautiful outdoor area by the river, and it was stunning! There were even candles in the house which was really sweet. He gave us a good recommendation for dinner, and told us about nearby attractions, such as Anglesey. Thanks again, Andrew! Al the best, Claire and Luke!

  • Lovely cosy place. House is nestled in amongst a lot of others (be prepared for the narrow roads getting to it). The open fire is gorgeous and makes for a lovely treat after a day out. Place is really peaceful- lack of tele is a great call (WiFi is excellent). Short distance from Zipworld- very handy. Thanks Ged

  • Ged's cottage is a wonderful place to stay for a trip to Snowdonia Nationalpark. The cottage is located in a little village with a small shop and a pub, and has easy access to walks in the mountains and good connection with busses to Bangor. We really loved staying in the cottage. It is cosy, stylish and has all the facilities, you need. Ged is a very nice and considerate host. I highly recommend staying in his cottage, if you're going on a trip to the area.

  • Lauren and Simon were always on hand and really helpful and friendly. The space is quiet and very clean, there were nice little touches like cereal, tea, coffee, jam, and things like condiments and foil and cooking oil. Bathroom also had plenty of loo roll, soap and so on. The space is well laid out with great flow, and with a nice view of the sea, the bay windows let in a lot of light, and the place is a short walk from the beach and the town, I went trail running along the coast, and was able to do this as soon as I stepped out the door. Kitchen well equipped for cooking, and the broadband was super fast with a crystal clear good sized HD tv. All in all a great space for a quiet break which I badly needed.

    Carl2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is great, we were especially delighted with the equipment of the kitchen. Llanfairfechan is very beautiful and definitely worth a visit! We really enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend Lauren’s apartment!

Breakfast basket was very handy, saved us going shopping on the first day.

    Christian2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • The sea view and sunsets from Lauren's place provided the icing on the cake. The accommodation was well-equipped, comfortable, very clean and well-situated for getting to and from many attractions along the North Wales coast. Special touches such as the wine were much appreciated. Thanks Lauren.

Andrea's place let me be able to experience camping again and in a way that wasn't too inconvenient. I really enjoyed my stay, it was very comfortable and amazing. The amenities and items provided were very thoughtful and useful! I would love to come back here with my friends again if I could! Andrea was a lovely host who was very welcoming and friendly. She helped to answer any questions I had. Andrea's dogs and farm animals were really cute as well! Andrea's place is a gem in Airbnb. Thank you Andrea and family :-)

Their home is delightful and its position is breathtaking. The rooms are lovely and charming with a true cotage feel. The bathroom is spotless with a fabulous shower. The brekfasts are yummy with lots of local produce on offer and home baking too!!!! i had a puncture along the lane, which is narrow and craggy so watch out for low lying rocks as like a wallaby I drove into one!!! This is a lovely twin room in a spacious house, on the outskirts of Tregarth village. Option of a 3rd mattress on the floor. The shared bathroom is close to the bedroom and the kitchen is available for tea and coffee, along with fridge space. Simple breakfast (cereal and toast) is available. The house is home to us, our son and our Jack Russel. Off road parking is available. Garden available for sunny evenings, or evening fires. Cycle track, cafe and a pub (no food) all within a 5 minute walk.
The spacious house is on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, and close to Zipworld, and other attractions. Anglesey is a short drive away. We are very close to the cycle track and a network of lovely footpaths. Pick up and drop off for the North Wales and Anglesey Coast path can be provided by prior arrangement. We have several walking, climbing, wild swimming and cycling guides and maps which you are welcome to borrow. We also have an acoustic guitar that you are welcome to use.
The area is very green, with trees and hills. There is a good bus service in to Bangor and the Ogwen Valley is a 5 minute drive away. The cycle track (Lon Las Ogwen) leads to Bangor in one direction and to Idwel Cottage (up the Ogwen valley) in the other. The area is a particularly good base for the attractions of Snowdonia and Anglesey, as well walking, climbing and water sports.
  • Would definitely stay again if that way, felt like a home from home.

    Anita2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • I've had another pleasant stay with Ben and his family. I found everyone to be warm and welcoming as usual and I was even taught how to play backgammon! :)

    Chris2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • I've had another pleasant stay at Ben's. It works well for me whilst I'm working in Bangor for a few days a week. The room is quiet - both from internal and external noise - Ben and his family make me feel welcome, the place is clean and comfortable, and we've yet to have any bathroom clashes. This is my third stay at Ben's and I'm planning on returning again, that in itself tells you a lot about the place and the hosts.

    Chris2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Ben's house. As with the previous stay, everyone in the household was friendly and made me feel welcome. The hosts provided more local knowledge of places where I could eat, factoring in my restrictive dietary choices. The bedroom is comfortable and quiet. Overall this is a nice place to stay

    Chris2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed another night at Ben and Jude's. Great hospitality as usual. Had a good rest. Others should take the room without hesitation. I'm a European certified assessor of quality. This place is good.

    Russell2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • I found Ben to be friendly, warm, and welcoming. Ben gave me some good tips on where to eat locally. The bedroom was spacious and comfy and at night it was dark and quiet which was conducive to a good night's sleep

    Chris2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Jude have a really nice place. Hospitality was excellent. The shower....oh the shower... if anyone needs a really nice shower, this is where you'll find it - in a massive bathroom! Everything at the house is in order. I'd stay again. If you're thinking of staying with Ben and Jude, stop thinking and start booking! (I have not been offered any incentives for giving this glowing feedback).

  • Beautiful spot for a countryside break! We were staying in the top tent and enjoyed stunning views of the mountains in the distance. Andrea and family were very welcoming and really thought of everything in terms of what was available in the tent & kitchen. Communication was also very quick and responsive. Would really recommend.

    Karl2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea's place was beautiful and lovely. I was really looking forward to camping but as a student abroad I couldn't afford to hire a car and buy camping equipment.

  • The bunk house is in a great location for Zip World and many of the local walks and attractions. We had really active days and it was lovely to come back to a hot tub. Samuel maintains the hot tub and pool to a high standard and the kids loved having these facilities plus the pool/TV room. Samuel and his family were lovely and made us feel very welcome.

    Charlotte2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great quirky bunkhouse and facilities with friendly host Samuel always at hand to help.

    Sally2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, pretty much central to all tourist places. We visited Zip World Forest whoch was 30 mins and Anglesey also 30 mins. Sam's home was wonderful with a pool and hot tub. There's also a bar and pool room whoch has a cinema screen and xbox for the kids too. The bedroom is great with most things you'll need for a stay such as bedding, fridge, microwave etc... the hosts also say if you need an oven they will happily allow you to use theirs. The toilet and shower room are across the garden but plenty of lights to see where you're going at night. You will be in a bunkhouse which is next door to the host but you still feel like the grounds are your own and get lots of privacy. Lovely little stay, thank you Sam and to your family.

    Andrea2019-07-18T00:00:00Z

Ready for 2019! Enjoy this aesthetically pleasing rustic oak cabin near Snowdonia. Nestled into oak woods, the spot is afforded views of the surrounding area including Anglesey. With access to paths and proximity to Snowdonia it's an excellent place to base from. A real highlight is the fire bath. It's like a hot tub that you have to light a fire under. Instructions given. NOTE! This is like camping in one way. The SHARED shower and toilet is 2 minutes walk downhill, can be slippery when wet.
This is a five-sided bespoke cabin. It has architectural uniqueness for your enjoyment and to think about. The oak inside is salvaged from local timber and made good and oiled. There's a camping cooker and the necessary utensils to heat meals and cook basics.
This is a rural area. If you know north Wales then you may know it has higher than average rainfall than the rest of the UK ;) Good access to walking paths and with proximity to Bangor, Bethesda and Caernarfon there are areas plenty of places to go out and eat at. A 15 minute drive affords the excellent Llyn Ogwen walk, a short walk with incredible views.

Mountain View is a cosy home from home ideally situated for accessing either the mountains for walking or the Zip World in Bethesda, both of which are a 10 min stroll away! There’s a wealth of activities & amenities available within walking distance of the door. The house is family & pet friendly, & Bethesda is a great spot for a relaxing getaway. The village is well equipped with a Tesco Express, cafes, pubs, range of take aways and Bangor is only 10 minutes down the road! NOW WITH A HOT TUB!!!
The house benefits from views out over Penrhyn Quarry, the Carneddi mountain range and on a clear day you can even see as far as Anglesey! The house itself is an old stone built property which is spacious and naturally light and airy. There’s wooden floors throughout and comfy furniture that’ll make you feel right at home. New for October 2019 is a hot tub in the rear garden for your own personal use. The space is a suitable bolthole for keen ramblers as you can literally walk out of the back door and out onto the hills, then return in the evening to relax and put your feet up. Or perhaps visit the traditional Welsh local pub which is on the opposite side of the road!
Mountain View is a 5 minute walk from Zip World in Penrhyn Quarry. Plus it is easily accessible by only a 10 minute drive to Bangor and the A55. Snowdon is a 20 minute drive down the A5. Betws-Y-Coed is 25 minutes away and you can be on Anglesey in under 15 minutes.
  • This is a great place, clean and very central for snowdonia. The hot tub was wonderful and we were allowed to bring the dogs which was a lovely treat. Throughly recommend this place.

  • We had such an amazing break in this beautiful cottage, it was surprisingly spacious and had everything we could need and more - a real home from home. The cottage is in a great location for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey, the weather wasn't on our side but it was lovely to come back to a warm, cosy and very comfortable house after days out battling Storm Dennis! The hot tub was the highlight of the stay, we used it every day. There is fencing around the hot tub with pretty lights which make it very private and relaxing. The garden was also great for our dog, completely enclosed so she could sniff around to her hearts content. We parked in the car park opposite the cottage after seeing some of the reviews about the parking space around the back, we had no trouble ever getting a space in the carpark. Bethesda is a lovely little town with cafes and small supermarkets. The views from the cottage are beautiful! We hope to return again - preferably when it's a little less rainy and windy! Thank you for sharing your place with us!

    Charlotte2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little house right in the middle of Bethesda! Lovely view of snowdon, it is on top of a huge hill so be warned if coming in a small car with a heavy load! The house was clean and easy to find once there, Crystal was always on hand to help us if any questions. Didn’t get to use the hot tub mainly due to weather but it’s a lovely little touch! We will definitely be returning!

    Emma2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic warm house, everything you could need, Crystal is on hand should you have any questions. Parking space to the back is itself large but the road to it is very tight and I struggled with a golf, I would advise parking in the car park rather than at the back. Hot tub was amazing, we had a fantastic couple of nights.

    Emily2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely clean cottage, home from home, perfect for couples, family’s and dog friendly. Ideal location for snowdon, slate caverns and Aber falls. Action packed weekend with added additional of the hot tub! Thank you

    Rebecca2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little house with beautiful views. Its on a street at the top of a huge steep hill so bare that in mind and the parking is a real tight squeeze for any car bigger than a hatchback. But the stay was just what we wanted, loads of amazing walks near by and enough shops/take aways etc to enjoy. Most importantly, the pub opposite was perfect for a cold beer by the log burner then taking a dip in the hot tub was an amazing way to end the evening! Recommend to all.

    Nickolas2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfectly located to get to Zip World Zip Wire, there's loverly walks in OgWan and it's just 20 minutes from all the restaurants in Betws-y-Coed. It's a lovely comfortable retreat in Snowdonia.

Tŷ Rowan is a lovely little house to stay in to explore the delights of Gwynedd, Conwy and the rest of North Wales. The house is attatched to our own house and is an old quarry man's cottage at the end of the terrace. The house offers basic, comfy accommodation- with easy going hosts. Please note-the house is quite basic but very cosy. Please note-we have a small pond in the garden and ask parents to keep an eye on small children with this in mind.
Ty Rowan is a cottage situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Our post code is LL573HU. The house is basic but offers warm and cosy base for your stay- with gas central heating, and a log fire. There are two bed rooms, one sleeps two with a single bed and a pull out single as well. In the other room there two singles beds which can be pushed together. There is a bathroon with shower, a l lounge with the fire and single sofa bed and a large light kitchen with a wooden farmhouse table with seating for 6, a gas cooker, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier. The kitchen has lovely views over o the west and Anglesey, and opens out onto a large patio and small garden. The views at sunset are spectacular if the weather is co-operating.There is a drive for one vehicle. We are situated in the village of Llanllechid which has a Post-office with well equipped shop. From the village frequent buses can take you to Bangor, Betws-y-Coed and Caernarfon, etc. This is a popular base for exploring the fantastic mountains, lakes, castles and beaches of North Wales. We are a mile from Bethesda which has a small Tesco, Londis and Spar. In Bethesda there are various pubs, cafes and takeaways. Ty Rowan is 2 miles from the Zip Wire ('Zip World') A few miles away are the historic towns of Conwy, Caernarfon and Beaumaris with their 13th. century castles. From here you can take boat trips. A boat ride around Penmon Island takes you to a wild life sactury of sea birds and seals. We are only a few miles from Llanberis, where the Snowdonia Mountain Railway begins. This narrow gauge railway will take you to the very summit of the largest mountain in Wales and England. The views of course, are stunning (clouds permitting!). There is also a cafe on the summit of this mountain, originally built by the Victorians, and recently rebuilt. This area is full of historical sites, beautiful scenery, mountains and beaches. We provide WIFI. The fee includes one bag of logs ( further bags in the cupboard for £3), towels and bed linen. A £5 a night refund will be given to you if you bring your own bed linen and towels-just let me know before hand. There is no T.V. but a selections of family games and books. Dogs are welcome, but we do ask owners to clean up after their dogs and use the council bins provided for that purpose to keep them off the furniture.
This is a great base for the mountains, lakes, beaches and castles of Snowdonia. Many guests enjoy the local Zip Wire, and the award winning Greenwood Forest Park family attraction which is only 5 miles away. Near by are The Anglesey Sea Zoo, Welsh Mountain Zoo and Pili Palace-well worth a visit. Penryn Castle-a 19th.century building is 3 miles down the road with fabulous activities for children. About 8 miles from Ty Rowan is the town of Llanberis, here the Snowdon railway can take you to the top of Snowdon-or you can walk/climb up (depending on which route you take). Llanberis also offers the Electric Mountain tour and ( my favourite!) The slate Museum. This is an open air museum still full of the original workings of the slate industry-a massive working water wheel, demonstrations to show how the quarry men had to split the slate by hand-and much more.
  • The host is really nice and was quick to respond to questions we had. The house was cosy and well equipped (the photos don't do the house justice). We had a great stay, thank you Sally!

  • Sally was not only a wonderful host offering us tips on local places to eat etc and leaving each member of my family a little present, but the cottage was gorgeous. Very quirky and much bigger than I was expecting! Thanks for helping us create lively festive memories Sally!

  • This 'Quarry Man's' cottage situated in a small village made us feel a living part of this historic area. The cottage is completely self contained with modern central heating, bathroom and kitchen appliances, (washer, dryer, gas stove, fridge). Situated on the edge of the Snowdonia mountains provides easy driving to Snowdon and the North Wales towns. The views from the back door and patio were gorgeous, from across Anglesey to Holyhead Mountain and the Snowdonia mountains with a turn of the head. Sally's location instructions were perfect, only the artistic Ty Rowen sign was at ground level, so after driving all day we missed it for a couple of passes. A parking area is provided, which is great in popular tourist times. I would certainly recommend this cottage for your Snowdonia visit . My only regret on this booking was that we did not staying longer.

  • We stayed here in August with two teenagers and two dogs. The accommodation was as expected with a lovely large living room with log burner and kitchen area. The views outside were fantastic and we found some lovely places to walk. The Wifi worked and kept our teens happy and we even got to play some board games with them. Thank you Sally for your warm welcome.

  • We loved our stay at Sally, her cozy little house, "just the right way", perfect for a few days of adventures in an exciting area (hiking at the top of Mount Snowdon, Conwy, Island of Anglesey, visit from the slate museum in Llanberis, etc.), his warm welcome and his advice. Thanks again Sally :-)

  • A great little find in a wonderful part of Wales. Highly recommend - we had a lovely 2 days and would have loved to have stayed longer!

  • My family spent 4 wonderful days exploring Snowdonia. The house is perfectly located at the edge of Snowdonia and it did the job for our purpose. Sally was a great guest and gave us useful information for our trips. The house was ok for our stay, but it can be improved, it has a lot of potential. It was good value for money.

A spacious 3 bedroom house in a family friendly residential area just outside the town of Bethesda. A great base for exploring Snowdonia National Park or the coast of Anglesey. Local amenities close by and Zipworld just a 5 minute drive away.
Entry is through a low front door {mind your head} and a couple of steps down to hallway which houses washing machine, fridge and freezer and shelf storage. Walk through to spacious kitchen / dining area with extra sofa seating to make it a nice communal hub in which to gather and plan your day ahead. Moving through takes you to the bottom of the stairs where you can also find the living room with ample seating for 7. There is a flat screen TV with Amazon Firestick which gives you access to a wide range of viewing options. From the bottom of the stairs you can also access a nice but rustic sun lounge. There is more sofa seating here and on a sunny day it gets really warm. There is a sheila maid here if you need to dry any washing. From here you can access the good sized rear garden. Paved slate patio area with nice sized lawn and shrub borders with veg beds {still a work in progress, so please bear with us, whilst we get it looking lovely} Upstairs, there are three double bedrooms, the largest of which also has an extra single bed. Bed linen and towels are provided as are basic toiletries in the upstairs bathroom.
Llanllechid is predominantly a residential area. There is a local store {with post office} and pub within easy walking distance. There is a park with swings and slide etc just a couple of doors down from the property, which also has nice views over to the mountains. Please be considerate to local residents by keeping noise levels down later in the evening.

  • Perfect place to stay! Such great value for a two bedroom cottage, with sea views and so, so quiet :) The location of the cottage is great as its super close to Conwy and Bangor, and recommended destinations such as RSPB Conwy, Bodnant Gardens and The Great Orme. The Cottage itself is very homely with everything that you may need for a week away. The Kitchen is fully fitted with cupboards full of everything that you may need or want. Stunning two bedroom cottage situated at 935ft above sea level within Snowdonia National Park. Fantastic sea views, incredibly quiet mountain location in one wing of a historic quarry owner's house & former youth hostel. Perfectly situated for exploring the mountains & coastline of N. Wales, you will be genuinely amazed at our location nestled high in the mountains but so close to the sea. Fully renovated in late 2016 - clean, modern & well appointed. Ample parking, games room with pool table.
Hafod is a two bedroomed stone built cottage forming part of Bryn Hall. Its location gives it spectacular views whilst snuggling just under Moel Wnion (a 1900 foot mountain in the Carneddau Range). The cottage has many original features including a stunning inglenook fireplace and exposed stonework. We bought Bryn Hall in December 2015 and are currently restoring it to its former glory; it was once the summer house and hunting lodge of Lord Penrhyn and family (of Penrhyn Castle - just down the road and visible from the house) and is a fairly grand old house of unusual proportions for this area. Our location makes us really quite special; we are just a few minutes drive from the A55, the A5 and Bangor (including the train station) yet we are totally secluded, 935 feet above sea level and within Snowdonia National Park. To top it off we are also only a couple of miles away from the Menai Straits with lovely sea views down to Penmon Point and much further away to the English Coast and even the Isle of Man. Bryn Hall was once the Quarry Owner's house for the adjacent slate quarry - Bryn Hafod y Wern. Our access road brings you up steeply through the quarry waste tips and past the deep quarry pool. This rather stark industrial landscape opens out to a plateau at the foot of Moel Wnion where Bryn Hall is contained within a high stone and slate wall. The word hafod is Welsh for 'summer dwelling' or 'farm', and refers to the seasonal movement of livestock and people from a lowland winter pasture at the main residence (Welsh - hendre) to a higher summer pasture from roughly May through October. But don't think that Hafod, Bryn Hall is not suitable for year round use - it has central heating as well as an efficient, modern wood burner - it is warm and cosy. We have a games barn for guest use (within the courtyard) housing a pool table and table tennis.
We are perfectly situated - very accessible from both of the main roads (A55 & A5) yet totally wild and secluded. We have no immediate neighbours and the sense of space up here is incredible. The way we sit between the mountains and the sea is breathtakingly beautiful, you have to see it to believe it. The walks immediately out of our gate are incredible - straight up an easily conquered mountain with far reaching views.
  • This cottage is very secluded and quiet, perfect for a romantic getaway. We were 2 couples staying over new year and the cottage was ideal! Esther as a host was brilliant, met us on arrival and told us about the house, the local area and where we could find good pubs and food. Kitchen space was good with the kitchen having a lot of the basics for example salt, Pepper, sauces, tea bags, milk etc. This really made a difference to our stay with the attention to detail. The log fire was perfect and we also made use of the pool table outside! Couldn’t fault our stay and would definitely return!!! Thank you Esther! First class host. X

  • Arrived after a long 8 hour drive it was dark and windy not to mention pouring with rain Follow sat nav I did till I thought surely not! Checked a message from the owner Always going up she said! So we did Further into the darkness till suddenly A gem appeared a real gem I shouldn’t say this Because I want the place to myself It’s just amazing I will say if you don’t like off the beaten track then it’s not for you! But if you appreciate Mother Nature soulful peace and mouthwatering views (and you’ve not got a car with very low suspension) don’t hesitate!! Just Make sure you check with me first!! Lol My kids 13-11-5 all loved it especially the log burner And we can’t wait to return Thank you so much

  • What a great place to stay for visiting North Wales. Location great - guess could be tricky to access in bad weather but we were there over New Year and all was fine. Close to lots of local towns and attractions, big supermarket close by. Living space brilliant - there were 7 adults and 1 toddler and we felt like there was plenty of room. Super easy check in and out and communication with host. Would highly recommend.

  • The drive up to the house was not as long as I thought and a little confusing as we didn’t see a post box so we were at the other end of that road,my advice would be to take the road before as it isn’t as narrow and brings you to the post box.

  • A charming cottage with everything you need for a relaxing welsh break . We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the local attractions

  • Bryn Hyfrid is a lovely, well equipped cottage with everything you could want for up to six people - we were four adults and two teenagers. Views are wonderful and the location is ideal - the teenagers were doing the zip wire experiences at Penryn and Blaenau Ffestiniog - and we were able to explore north Wales taking in Snowdon, Port Meirion, Anglesey and a host of pretty villages. We are sure we shall be back.
