  • We have just returned from a half term stay at Bryn Bach in our very special place, Aberdaron. Tracy was a wonderful host with really prompt and friendly communication prior to our stay. The house is spotlessly clean and kitted out with you all need and more! The view from the living room is just mesmerising and the location is perfect- just a minutes stroll down the hill and you are in the centre of the village which has all you need for a relaxing and happy holiday- the best bakery, Spar, 2 pubs serving great food, cafes and of course the beach!! Thank you Tracy for being such a fabulous host. We hope to be back again soon.

  • Accommodation was sparkling clean and everything you could think of was provided Bottle of wine and local biscuits to welcome us was a lovely touch Stayed there during storm ‘Dennis’ which meant we had to spend more time indoors than we had planned but because the cottage was so comfortable it was no hardship Amazing location and views and you can hear the sound of the sea which we loved My son aged 3 did not want to leave as keeps asking to go back to his holiday home Thankyou Tracy

  • Really lovely and cosy bungalow with lovely views over the beach. Tracey was a great host and had left lots of lovely Christmas treats for us which was so thoughtful. The kitchen was well equipped, great for cooking.

A simple yet beautiful three-bedroom coastal cottage on the edge of the cliff overlooking the beach and sea in the picturesque village of Aberdaron close to the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula. The generous lawned gardens offer 360 degree views overlooking Aberdaron Bay, and then out to sea as far as the horizon with nothing between you and the sea but the beach! The cottage has 3 double bedrooms, 2 with king size beds and a third with 2 single beds.
The cottage is our family holiday home bought after many happy years holidaying in this incredible part of the world. It is dog-friendly but please respect our non-dog owning guests and don’t let Fido on the beds or furniture! The cottage is around 100 years old and built in the traditional Welsh style. This does mean that there are steep stairs to the upstairs bedrooms and low ceilings to watch out for. There is a small camping field to the side of the house and the very quiet coastal road to the front. The road will take you to the fabulous beaches of Yso, Cariad, Hell’s Mouth and Abersoch - otherwise known as Cheshire-on-Sea :). The cottage has 3 double bedrooms (1 on the ground floor). Bedrooms 1 & 2 have queen size beds whilst the third has 2 single beds. There is a fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, cosy lounge with window seat, sofa, armchairs and TV with integral DVD player. The bathroom is also on the ground floor and has a separate shower and bath. There is a separate loo and a utility room with washing machine, dryer, fridge and freezer. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a simple coastal style with stone flagged floors to the kitchen & dining areas. We provide all your towels, beach towels, bed linen and tea-towels. And to keep you happy on wet weather days we’ve gathered together loads of DVD’s, books, magazines and games for you to get stuck into. To the outside there is dining and lounging furniture (summer only) a picnic table, viewing benches and a BBQ (summer only) . There is also WiFi, digital radio with Spotify connect and cable TV.
A beautiful & ancient seaside village complete with medieval church and historic buildings, Aberdaron is a true jewel of the Llyn Peninsula. Buzzy but never too busy it offers all you'll need for a relaxing back-to-nature holiday.
  • We cannot recommend this beautiful home enough! It is by far the best escape that you will find! Book it now!! It was an absolute haven and cannot wait to return, such an amazing location and the nautical / tranquil decor is just magical. We went on some breath taking coastal walks & found the brilliant Ty Coch Inn, so thank you so much for your recommendations!! I read the folder cover to cover, a truly great guide, your efforts are very appreciated. Hope to return in the autumn. Many thanks, Megan

  • We had such a lovely time at this very special little cottage. We arrived on the 27th Dec and the cottage looked so Christmassy with all the Christmas decorations and fairy lights, it was very cosy. Thank you to the owners who were very responsive and helped us with local info in advance of our stay. The welcome basket was also a lovely treat thank you. The area is fantastic and I would highly recommend and would love to return. A Lovely beach just down the road which we all thoroughly enjoyed even on a windy December day. The bakery is also a must, we visited most days! We had a great week and what a fabulous New Year’s treat for our family. We will definitely return soon.

  • Wonderfully great and quirky old cottage - forget how many times I banged my head (approximately once a day I guess - I'm just a tad over 6 feet tall), but ideal for our aim of walking the North Llyn coastal path and taking the pilgrimage to Bardsey (a journey well worth the boat fare). Would recommend eating at the Ship Inn. Thank you.

This first bedroom is partially open to the Living room. A classic Welsh tongue and groove wooden wall partition with a latched door leads to the 2nd Bedroom.

We are located in the middle of the Wales Coastal Path This is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a peninsula with many beaches within 1/2 hr drive. The seaside village of Aberdaron is 1 1/2 miles walk with 2 pubs and a few shops/tearooms. Abersoch is approx 10 miles drive. The Town of Pwllheli is 17 miles.
  • It’s perfect. The cottage , the location, the view. Magic

    Gregory2020-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable little cottage. With large kitchen and bathroom. Beds were cosy and very comfortable. Open fire wonderful to cosy up in front of in a wild storm. We were only two friends, short on stature so it suited us fine but be aware that taller folk or larger families might feel a bit cramped. But would definitely stay again. It has a beautiful setting with lots to explore in the area.

  • A lovely little cottage. Cosy, comfortable and perfect for my husband, daughter and me. In a lovely position near Aberdaron. Beautiful scenery and good walks.

  • Sarah’s place at Aberdaron was lovely. Homely and gorgeously decorated. A great base for Aberdaron, Enlli and Mynydd Mawr.

  • It was wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped, the cooking was as much fun as at home. We felt so comfortable that we enjoyed every hour there. Thank you, we'll be back!

  • Loved our stay in your lovely cosy cottage. Would definately return the next time we visit Wales.

  • Great location, lovely cosy interior and kitchen amenities useful. WiFi and washer dryer really helpful touches. Fabulous open fire. Would love to visit again

    Helena2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this cottage is amazing. It’s remote and quiet and beautifully picturesque. The local small town of Aberdaron is perfect and quaint, and the beach at Rhiw is a great find if you don’t mind walking down the steep path. Also the top end point of Uwch Mynydd was amazing for watching the sunset and joins on the coastal walk. The cottage itself was off a postcard. Looks tiny but actually a good size, and had so many items included; washer dryer, microwave, tonnes of cutlery and crockery, other kitchen appliances (even a nutribullet!) iron, radios, lots of books etc Be aware of; very steep stairs inside cottage, may not be suitable for kids. Also steep rocky driveway to parking space, not suitable for low cars Has a wonderful time. Would revisit :)

  • Our stay at Awel y Mor was very special. We were there with all my family to celebrate my 40th birthday. Aberdaron is very special to all of us, having been visiting for 40 years! To wake up every morning to breathtaking views over the bay and then to be able to walk to the bakery for breakfast goodies in just a couple of minutes was perfect. Location is obviously wonderful, but it’s also a beautiful home which very comfortably accommodated 6 of us. Thank you for such a memorable and happy stay.

  • We stayed for four nights with our two toddlers. This is a beautiful and very family friendly property and Helen was really helpful in responding quickly to all our queries. The views of the sea from every window are stunning and one one of my favourite things was relaxing on the verandeh and listening to the waves! The garden is huge and great for children. The property is a short walk to the beach and local shops. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

    Kristi2019-09-26T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful location and barn. Will definitely be returning.

    Issy2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to get away from the grind of daily life, this is for you. The barn is tucked away behind the farmhouse, fenced off for privacy with stunning views of the hills and the Irish Sea. Be prepared for some tight roads on the way in and around the place, but also be prepared for the stunning scenery on your drive to the barn. Hells mouth is a very short drive as is Abersoch. We took prepared food with us but there are local shops on the way in and a Spar just a few minutes drive away. If you're lucky the chickens from next door come out in the morning and sneak under the fence to see whats going on.

    John2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing setting for a quiet, relaxing break. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Lots of lovely walks right on your doorstop. It’s a beautiful part of the world and the little barn was such a cosy, comfortable place to enjoy it all from. We were sad to leave.

  • An amazing little place to go for a weekend! Went with my boyfriend for a late valentines trip and arrived to a spotless, really warm and comfortable space to stay in the cold weather. Has everything you would need to cook your own meals as we did, and tons of information about the surrounding area, although we opted to stay in most of our stay as the February weather wasn’t the best. Really cozy environment, beautifully decorated, and amazing views from outside. We will definitely look at coming back!

    Olivia2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Good communication from the host and beautiful location

    Lauren2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is idyllic. We stayed during some truly terrible weather and still had a wonderful time. You definitely need your own means of transportation but it's a great jumping off point for the Llyn Peninsula and beyond.

The roundhouse is a beautifully crafted, cosy hideaway with simple, basic comforts. You sleep under a thick thatch roof on a comfortable double bed with storage drawers beneath, there's a small wood fired earth oven - fireplace for the colder months, there's a reading light and an electrical socket. Its small and cosy inside and full of character. You'll hear the sound of a trickling stream beneath the balcony , the soft hooting of owls in the night and the birdsong in the thickets about you.
its a cosy , intimate room suitable either for a single person or couple or friends wishing to enjoy a simple, natural lifestyle in beautiful rural surroundings for a few relaxing days. Its for people who love to be immersed in nature, the countryside and its wildlife. You can use the basic bath and small kitchen in the nearby shared farmhouse 300 yds away
The Llyn Peninsula is a treasure trove of small coves , ancient heathered hillforts, narrow county lanes and coastal villages- some quiet and others bustling with visitors and beach life during the summer. You'll hear locals speaking their native Welsh lanuage in shops, pubs, schools and workplaces. Its a friendly area with a close knit community, everyone knows each other for miles around. When the weather is good there's swimming, walking the beautiful coastal path, fishing and enjoying the outdoor cafes ....when its stormy there's great surfing ! The grandeur of the Snowdonia mountain range is about an hour's drive to the east . Westward - there is a small boat that will take you to Ynys Enlli - porth y nef - gateway to heaven - a small island 2 miles offshore home to angels and wildlife. You'll get an idea of what life is like at the centre here through watching a short slideshow called "Felin Uchaf Volunteers 2016" on Youtube
  • Wonderful time here! Basic but a much-loved respite from the big city, with some gorgeous star gazing on a clear night. It was an impressive roundhouse in traditional design, and comfortable and cozy once we got the fire going. There was electricity, including a kettle and a desk lamp, and the roundhouse is otherwise lit up by cute tea lights and the oven fire. Firewood is provided for the first night, which was much appreciated as we arrived late in the dark! As there is no shower in the roundhouse or in the main house, I had a squat-shower using the bathtub sink in the main farmhouse, which was fine and give us a nice chance to chat to some of the volunteers and other visitors. Everything was easy to find and very clearly labelled/sign-posted. This is not for you if: you want a convenient hot shower, you can't stand bugs (we had a couple spiders appear), you don't want to risk walking a few minutes in the dark to the toilet at night (as the outhouse is down a semi-forested path). This is for you if: you want a peaceful stay out in the country, you want a bit of adventure and can deal with semi-roughing it up with basic facilities, particularly if you have a car and want to explore the surrounding areas (my favourite was walking up to the lookout on the far end of Llyn peninsula).

    Paula2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A stunning setting and beautiful accommodation. A peaceful hideaway and surrounded by nature - the perfect place to get away from daily stresses. There are amazing walks around the coast and stunning beaches to watch the sun set. The pizza oven was a real treat and the thatched roof, wooden beams and comfy bed made for a very cosy sleep.

    Rob2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best experience we had in the UK. Menter Y Felin Uchaf is an experience that we would recommend to anyone. We would have been happy to have stayed here for our entire tour of the UK. There is a real magic going on here and a lot of that comes from the host Dafydd. His work and hospitality is truly inspiring.

    Steven2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time to the small roundhouse and the fourth to the centre. We absolutely love it to unwind. The new addition of a chiminea made it even more relaxing. What can I say simply special!

    Heather2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A late booking as camping not an option due to weather forecast. What a find. For us this one of the most beautiful few days away anywhere we've been in the world. As a maker I was overwhelmed by the creativity and flair in both the accomodation and site. Soul food in tranquil surrounding for anyone wanting to be grounded in basic yet inspured comfortable accomodation.

  • This was the perfect birthday get away for myself and my boyfriend. The place was warm and cosy in a beautiful landscape, even through the thunderstorms! Davies gave the best suggestions for local walks and we thoroughly enjoyed the story telling. Can’t wait to come back soon.

Our holiday cottage enjoys a very peaceful and tranquil setting down a long private driveway in a very quiet country village close to the sea. There is a private enclosed garden with the added benefit of barbeque and seating to enjoy the great outdoors. We are a short walk from sandy beaches and the Welsh Costal Path. Perfect if you enjoy walking in the beautiful countryside. Well behaved dogs are also very welcome.
The Coachhouse which is the original whitewashed farm cottage and dates back centuries has been modernised and improved over the years to provide comfortable home from home accommodation. We have furnished it in a simple style using a mixture of antiques and more modern furniture but all with comfort and style in mind. The property is double glazed, centrally heated and with the added feature of a cast iron wood burner to provide that true country living style and that combined with the real wool throws and cosy lighting make this a wonderful place for relaxing and enjoying each others company. We have provided books, magazines & games for entertainment. The property has two bedrooms – one double and a twin again furnished simply but with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Our aim when creating our business was to make sure that our guests were truly looked after – and to this end we make sure that our beds are comfortable with the pillows and duvets being changed each year. The beds are all made up prior to your arrival so that you relax from the moment you unload. The heating will be on and in the case of late arrivals, the fire lit and lights left on so that you immediately know you have arrived at your new home!
The beach at Penllech which is a 20 minute walk away and just less than a mile round lanes, is superb for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking or swimming. Occasionally we see surf here but more likely to be of use for surfers would be the next bay along at Porth Towyn or the National Trust owned Whistlings Sands which is a 10 minute drive away. Close by we have great pubs namely The Lion in Tudweiliog, or the 2 in Aberdaron which both serve wonderful food and real ales. The Ship in Edern is another popular choice and it offers an exciting and ever changing menu for the discerning foodie.
  • We had a lovely short break at the cottage. A great place to stay for visiting the Llyn pennisula. We enjoy being able to go for walks from the doorstep and this was great for that! Lovely and warm with delicious bara brith! Thoughtful touches and a well equipped kitchen...what I am always pleased to see!! Incredibly quiet location which is perfect for us and our dog. We will definitely be back for another trip, the area is just so beautiful.

  • Gwenllian's cottage is a wonderful retreat set in the heart of the beautiful Llyn Penninsula. Gwenllian was immediately responsive to my communication, make check-in super easy, and showed wonderful hospitality by delivering a homemade cake. The cottage was sparkling clean, very cozy, well-equipped, and comfortable. During my visit a "bomb cyclone" weather event hit the coast of Wales making it especially comforting to know I was in a solidly built stone cottage. It is located centrally to castles, beaches, coastal walks etc. It was also super quiet with no road or other external noise (except the storm winds!). I highly recommend Gwenllian's cottage and I hope to return in the future.

    John2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • We wanted a quiet Christmas with our two dogs, in a cosy house and that’s exactly what we got. In a stunning location with loads of walks to choose from and an amazing beach within walking distance. Gwenllian was also so accommodating and even baked mince pies for our arrival. Will definitely come back!

    Alice2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at the coach house. Cosy, clean and in the perfect location to go off exploring this beautiful part of Wales. Would definitely recommend.

  • A perfect location if you enjoy coastal walking. We covered many miles on the coast, you are on the beach of Penllech in approx. one mile. We have stayed in many cottages in the Llyn Peninsula, this is by far the best located. We had a very easy check in, The log burner had been made up and lit for our arrival. The milk and homemade cake is such a lovely touch. It's also the warmest and cosiest place we have ever stayed. The cottage is totally private and our hosts, although on hand if you need them, leave you to your privacy. The garden is secure and enclosed, making it ideal for our two Basset Hounds. To sum up, the cottage is clean, cosy, warm, great shower, bigger than it looks on photos, with a secure private garden in a perfect location. Thank you!

    Michele2019-11-25T00:00:00Z

This stunning Celtic Roundhouse is a beautifully crafted, rustic, camping style bunkhouse that easily sleeps up to 5 people on comfortable single mattresses raised on a circular wooden bench that runs around the interior. Its great for family or friends who just want to spend some quiet time together in a beautiful remote, natural setting exploring some of the UK's best coastline. There's a compost loo & washbasin nearby but no shower. Guests will need to bring their own sheets or sleeping bags
Staying at roundhouse is a totally unique experience - you step right back into a different epoch. Its for people who like to be immersed in nature and wildlife. The roundhouse measures a spacious 5 meters internal diameter and has ample storage chest spaces underneath the raised mattresses, Its basic - with a small electric portable radiator heating for the colder months , LED overhead reading lights over 3 of the beds and an electrical socket and a central glass framed candle lamp for soft lighting. We supply 5 single mattresses with mattress covers, duvets with covers & pillows with cotton pillow cases. When you arrive there will be a 5 litre thermos flask of boiling hot water for tea, coffee or washing and cold water tank. You can easily refill them from the farmhouse kitchen . We provide enough firewood for one evening's fire in the outside fire-circle seating area
The Llyn Peninsula is a treasure trove of small coves , ancient ,heathered hillforts, narrow county lanes and coastal villages- some quiet and others bustling with visitors and beach life during the summer. You'll hear locals speaking their native Welsh language in shops, pubs, schools and workplaces.
  • This is a fantastic place to stay. It is full of character and charm. We stayed in September and it was cool at night so we were glad we brought sleeping bags to use in addition to the duvets provided. It was great cooking around the fire. Lovely beaches nearby.

  • Rather unusual, but delightful accommodation. Posh camping, maybe? But better than that. The buildings are completely different than anything we normally see these days, but fit perfectly into their surroundings. Simple, but enough in the room - lights, mattresses and duvets, kettle. Toilet and car park are a little walk away. The site is very "back to nature", and highly recommended to have a look at the other buildings and development work going on at the charity. If you're expecting a five star hotel then you'll be very disappointed. Wanting to live in the outdoors under a thatched roof and woken to the birds singing then you'll be right at home.

  • What an amazing place! I loved it! We are thinking of the teachers having time out here on the summer break! Thank you

  • We have just left the roundhouse and WOW just wow. We had a great time and it most definitely exceeded our expectations! There was more in the house than we expected, there is cutlery, a kettle, washing up equipment, pots, pans, towels, pillows, blankets, a lighter, hot water bottles...pretty endless list! It was just great. We took some sleeping bags....NOT NEEDED. The weather has been pretty great but even so, it was cool on a night. The Roundhouse was rather warm and extremely cosy! We had use of a fire pit that had everything you could need for BBQ style cooking. You can buy bags of logs for £2.50 if you run out! We went to the story telling evening, which we are glad we did. You can get a hot drink and some cake half way through. There was a fire pit there for the kids to toast marshmallows. Davies was lovely and very helpful, giving us tips and advice on where to go and what to see. If you have children this is an experience you must try! We will be returning again no doubt. If i haven't sold it to you....i just asked my daughter (age 11) what was her best and worst bits... Best bit...."All of ot" Worst bit..."leaving" We can't wait to visit again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family :)

  • What a beautiful cottage. Very clean, cosy, quaint and just what you need for a comfortable stay in Aberdaron. Location is the best, a stones throw from the beach and the pub. You can’t beat the view from the double bedroom at the front when you wake up in the morning.. it was a shame I have a baby and had to get up and downstairs early! I could lay in bed all morning and stare at the waves! Thank you Nigel. We will be back I am sure!

  • Tyn Llan was utterly delightful in every way. The owners obviously care greatly about the property, and their guests. We arrived to a sparkling clean house. It was a relief to find such a tastefully furnished seaside house with no unnecessary tat. All the kitchen equipment is very good quality and it was a pleasure to cook there. The beds were comfortable - is there anything better than watching the sea while lying in bed? At last I've found a holiday cottage with big mugs and decent knives and cotton sheets! The owners have provided an excellent information file, and also a file of local walks. Nigel responded immediately when we had a query mid stay. The house is in the perfect location a stone's throw from the sea - and with two pubs nearby. We have stayed in and around Aberdaron many times but Tyn Llan is by far the best house in every way. Top marks! We could have stayed forever. We will be back.

  • A lovely cottage in a wonderful location. Everything you could need and more catered for. We were very lucky that the weather improved while we were there as it had been very wet the week before but had been told that Aberdaron has a microclimate by family and it appeared to be right! Local amenities are good for a “get away from it all” break. Would recommend and would definitely return. Only slight downside is the parking is a little awkward but very near, so not much to worry about.

    Margaret2019-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • I almost don't want to tell you all about this cottage as I want to keep it all to myself! It's a really great place to stay. The location couldn't be better - by the sea in a sweet village. The cottage is pretty, tasteful and well equipped for a lovely stay. Communication with Nigel worked well and everything was as it should be. Highly recommended.

It is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. It was lovely to meet Gillian, who kindly left us fresh milk and bread, as well as giving advice about the local area. Many thanks Gillian and we hope to be back in the future :)

  • Tiny cottage was the perfect weekend away, in the middle of nowhere (but not too far from Abersoch to get to the shops)! Ideal for surfers & walkers alike - we loved the cosiness of the place! Even though we couldn’t get out & about as much due to Storm Dennis, this was not a problem as the place was well catered with a cosy log fire to read a book by to chill out & smart TVs too. When the weather did clear for a bit we explored the beaches of Aberdaron, Abersoch, Porthor & Hell’s Mouth, all of which were just a short drive away! We’d love to come back in the summer to see even more of this beautiful part of the world 🌊 ☀️ Thank you for having us Sarah!👍🏻

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The view is spectacular and we enjoyed walks in the area. The place is really quirky and unique. We enjoyed sitting in front of the fire and watching the TV in the snug upstairs. I’d forgotten my walking guide book so was pleased to discover some books with a variety of walks to go on. We hope to stay again one day :-)

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time in the 'wee cottage'. Everything is beautifully designed to make the most of what space there is and we ( myself, my wife and our two boys aged 13 and 10) loved it. I like to cook when we stay in places and wondered how that would work but there was absolutely no need to worry - the kitchen is set up and designed so well it works a treat. When we had a small initial issue a quick phone call resolved everything immediately too. Great beaches nearby and a stunning view from the hillside spot where the cottage sits. Just a lovely, comfortable, fun break all round.

Talafon is a modern home, ideally located in a secluded courtyard setting, within a 5 minute walk of the superb, safe sandy beach, excellent pubs, restaurants and shops. It offers an ideal base to explore the stunning coastal footpaths, unspoilt white sandy beaches and coves of the idyllic Llyn Peninsular.
Talafon offers plenty of room to holiday with friends or family. A large kitchen/dining room, spacious lounge and separate TV/games room downstairs provide ample space. Outside there is a garden with view across to the sea, an outdoor seating and BBQ area and large private driveway for multiple cars/boats.
Talafon is situated in a quiet, safe and secluded cul-de-sac, only 5 minutes walk to the beach and village. It is perfect for families.
  • Fabulous house, wonderful location and Karen is a lovely host.

  • Spent a fabulous New Year at this lovely house in wonderful Aberdaron. The location is great, just 5 minutes walk from all amenities and the beach. Just a couple of minutes walk from the coastal path. We walked and ran right from the front door. It’s perfect for two families ( as we were) as it has two family suites, and a ton of space downstairs too. The kids loved retiring to the games room after dinner with the Xbox and we loved the cosy, comfy lounge. The cooker is great -plenty of space to cook a second Christmas dinner and a table we could all comfortably fit around. The utility was also ideal for all our extra bits and pieces. The garden is great for a kick about and I imagine there’s a real sun trap in the summer on the patio. Plenty of parking space. Highly recommend!

  • Brilliantly located in a gorgeous part of the world. Very comfortable house with an extra “games” room which we all appreciated. Fab board games and a short walk to the beach , bakery and restaurants. All round a must return location.

  • We have just spent 4 days here and had the best time The house is a perfect size for a larger family and everything you need, perfect location for the village and the beach we will defo rent again

  • Karen made us so welcome. Her communication was excellent and really helpful. The house was spotlessly clean and airy. The facilities and equipment were spot on. 6 adults stayed and we had plenty of space to enjoy our stay. The house is a very short walk down to the village, beach, shops and bars. Plenty of space to park cars. Great place to stay.

  • My family and I, three generations including my grandchildren had a perfect holiday, staying in Karen's holiday home in Aberdaron. The village of Abedaron is lovely, unspoilt but not without a few shops and cafes. Beach is super. Karen's holiday home is within a few minutes walk of the beach. There are lovely walks along the coastal path, and we all climbed Yr Eifl, 564m, for the best views in North Wales. Karen's house is really well equipped and spacious, beautiful house. The grandchildren give it 5 stars and I second that.

A beautiful and large family holiday cottage on the Llyn Peninsula. This converted mill provides luxurious accommodation for up to 10 guests in this popular holiday destination.
Hen-Felin is a beautiful and large family holiday cottage on the Llyn Peninsula. This converted mill provides luxurious accommodation for up to 10 guests in this popular holiday destination. Exquisite furnishings and gorgeous location combine to provide a fantastic holiday cottage. We turn off a quiet country lane onto a large private driveway with the cottage square in front. Crunching across the gravel we come to a large oak door which in turn leads us into a bright and airy entrance hall. The designer chair sitting under the stairs and the high vaulted ceilings gives an immediate sense of style and quality. The lounge come dining room is off to the right. A huge long room which accommodates an impressive dining table and chairs at one end and a welcoming log fire and seating area at the other end. Bespoke lighting and ornaments adorn a French style side table. Sheepskin and Persian rugs are scattered casually over a solid oak wood floor. We return back through the entrance hall to get to the kitchen. Country style fitted units sit on a warm quarried tiled stone floor which are, in turn, bedecked with a granite worktop. A refreshingly individual central island provides more work surface with a second dining table providing a focus for that morning family breakfast. All the standard white goods are there. A large fridge freezer, fan oven, induction hob etc. plus a large utility room also houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. 5 bedrooms in total. The first of which is also on the ground floor. A large double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. As with the rest of the house, the furnishings are perfect. A large central king sized bed is flanked by two side tables with angle poised lamps. A solid wood wardrobe and chest of drawers provides plenty of storage. The en-suite bathroom houses a spacious low level shower, wc and washbasin. Upstairs there are two more double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. Both of the double bedrooms are very generously sized. The twin bedrooms are smaller but still comfortable. Great views and a great light upstairs especially in the morning surrounded as you are by fields of sheep and the rolling hills of the Llyn Peninsula. The family bathroom up here has a powerful shower over a bath, wc and washbasin. There is also a third shower room back down at the foot of the stairs if required.
The mill stands in it’s own grounds with one other holiday cottage nearby and some working barns on the other side of the road, so a wonderful tranquil spot. There’s a grassy area to the rear of the cottage and a lovely patio with some impressive wood patio furniture. The adjoining field beyond does need some landscaping work at some stage but will not affect the quality of your stay. Although grouped with our Abersoch cottages, Hen-Felin is actually a little closer to Aberdaron, a small village right at the tip of the Llyn-Peninsula. Aberdaron is one of my favourite places in the world. Two great pubs, a selection of lovely tea rooms and a wonderful sandy beach. A must for all guests at the cottage. Abersoch is a little further to the east and is of course well known for it’s clothing shops, restaurants and small bars. A busy marina and a relaxed surfing type culture make it another popular destination for visitors to the area. The welsh coastal path naturally skirts around the house and the tip of the peninsula. The hidden coves and un-spoilt landscape must make this one of the most spectacular sections of this now famous path. A walk that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Many activity providers have also set themselves up in the area and help provide guests with all the fun, adventure and adrenaline they can wish for. Lat/Long 52.830804, -4.660643

You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the high ceilings, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). We do charge £25.00 for pets which is payable on arrival
  • Immaculate cottage in a great location for exploring the Llyn peninsular by car. The cottage was spotless and had everything we (3 adults, a baby and a dog) needed for the weekend, including facilities to cook in the evenings and full breakfast and lots of useful information on nearby walks and beautiful beaches. It was lovely and cozy, even during storm Jorge! I only wish I’d brought slippers as the lovely stone floor was freezing - a teeny point and my fault, just a tip for others! We’d definitely recommend and would come back again.

  • Fabulous cottage in our favourite part of wales. Dairy cottage is beautifully styled, immaculately clean and had lots of lovely outside space perfect for dogs. Quiet, peaceful and private. We had a lovely weekend despite storm Dennis! Very good value for money and a short drive from abersoch and Aberdaron. Will definitely be back.

The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the LLyn which we managed despite the very wet weather. June ensured the cottage was lovely and cosy throughout our stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Spacious and within walking distance of beach with large family kitchen with an aga range cooker and breakfast table. A large conservatory with additional dining table along with sofa. Open fire in living room and hallway. Ground floor has three bedrooms, one double with cot, a twin room, and a single bedroom. There is also a shower room with walk in shower. First floor bedroom with king size bed, and adjacent main bathroom. Outside there is a lovely terrace with superb coastal views and a lawn.
  • Had a wonderful stay over new year. The location and views from the property were amazing, spent many a happy hour painting in the lovely conservatory which was very warm for this time of year. The house was lovely and whilst there were only four of us plus our four legged friends staying I imagine it is a great house for a larger group as the layout and the rooms work well. I was very impressed with the range of kitchen equipment and crockery one of the best I have experienced in rented accommodation, even enjoyed using the range which was a surprise. I would definitely recommend this property and hope one day to revisit. Thanks

  • Had a lovely stay in the Tidwal Pod. The location and the views are amazing! The pod itself is really well equipped. We used the fire wood burner for the first time and after a few minutes we got the hang of it, even though it's small it heats up the room nicely. Bedding and towels are not provided, just bring your own. There is a fridge/freezer in a separate shed, next to the pods, which we found really handy! Thank you!

  • This is a delightful surprise set in beautiful countryside in one of the loveliest places in Wales. The pod is really well appointed, cosy and warm. It felt like camping but without the bother of a tent.

  • These pods are fantastic! Set in a beautiful, quiet location but not to far away from both Abadaron and Abersoch. The pod was clean and modern with everything that we needed and had enough space for 2 adults and 2 young children. The field that the pod sits in is safe, secure and well maintained so we felt comfortable letting the children run and play while we relaxed on the porch! Lots of thoughtful touches like outdoor games and board games in the pod. The addition of a fridge is great as we had quite a lot of supplies for the BBQ. The bathroom facilities really exceeded expectations as the shower was great! All in all we had a wonderful 2 night stay and are looking forward to returning!

    Rose2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic stay with our 3 young children and dog. Excellent welcome instructions and directions. The Pod is very well designed, high spec, cozy and has everything you need. The pictures don’t do it justice. The addition of a communal fridge was an unexpected but welcome addition for storing milk etc. The field is secluded with wonderful rural views to wake up to and sunsets to enjoy into the evening. We met Will briefly whilst packing up to leave and he was a great host. Angharad was particularly helpful in giving us a call to let us know we had forgot something. If you’re looking for something in this area, in our view you can’t go wrong with these Pods.

    Tom2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • We have had a fantastic week staying in Tudwal. The pod is very well thought out and equipped. The addition of the fridge/freezer was a real bonus too. The pod is finished to a high standard and the finishing touches are lovely. The pod was immaculate on arrival. We highly recommend these pods and will return in the future.

  • If your looking to get away from work and your kids and noise then this is the place to go with your partner/friends ! Has everything you need wi-fi, tv, log fire with plenty of paper and wood and logs, fully equip kitchen, lovely bathroom and the bed is insanely comfy with again a log fire and tv in the bedroom ! Washing machine/ dryer ect. The cottage is on what i would say a mountain and is really peaceful, we came here to get away from everything and enjoy peace and quiet on our anniversary which is exactly what we got ! Job done, sarah is a great host and got in touch with me whenever i emailed her ! really efficient which is what you want when travelling far, the cottage is beautiful with abersoch and pwhelli within 20 mins drive ! But to be honest you wouldn’t even need to go anywhere id just take food with you because the cottage is cosy and warm and i didnt want to go home to be honest :( , this was the first time ive booked on air bnb and i thought that maybe hosts would come and check up on you whilst you were there, which put me off but they dont just for people who are wondering like i was ! All in all great little weekend break and i would like to thank sarah and Andrew for letting us stay in this beautiful cottage.

  • The bunkhouse was spacious, really comfortable to sleep and had everything we needed inside. It was a great place to to explore and the so close to the coast. We had a great stay and would be happy to go back again x

  • Firstly, let me say, this place is amazing. Right.... what to expect, On approach you are met with some scenic nature trails either side as you drive up to your accommodation a lovely thatched earth house. The celtic bunk bunkhouse we had was spacious with decking outside it, big enough to have table and chairs for 6 people which is provided along with a chimney wood burner. The candles and solar lights provided add an extra comfort during the night also giving a beautiful picture. Everything is pretty much provided but we took our own bbq with a few extra bits.

  • The Large roundhouse is beautifully set, with a fantastic outside space, and really large interior. Booked this for a fishing trip with two friends, space was far far larger than expected. Was apprehensive about using a composting toilet for the first time, but the experience was surprisingly pleasant, something I would employ myself even! Very relaxed atmosphere.

  • Amazing location, hospitality and accommodation. We even had the opportunity to attend a storytelling evening, which was a wonderful experience with the children. Thanks Davies

Ty'n Rhyd is a detached, spacious, traditional Welsh character cottage, located just two miles from the historic seaside village of Aberdaron. It offers guests privacy and tranquillity for a true 'get away from it all' holiday in comfortable and stylish surroundings with outstanding countryside views. The property's location is totally private, with no immediate neighbours. The generous accommodation is perfect for couples, families, or mixed generational family groups alike. Sleeps 6 + cot.
The comfortable, spacious yet cosy accommodation consists of a fully-fitted and very well equipped kitchen, along with the main sitting room. This has a stunning feature inglenook fireplace with multi-fuel stove, and Samsung Smart TV+DVD player. WiFi is available throughout. The kitchen offers dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, electric oven/hob, fridge/freezer and microwave, with plentiful crockery and glassware, and a filter coffee machine. A second sitting room with TV ensures plenty of space for all of the family. In addition a splendid, south-facing sun room/dining area will entice you to spend many hours just drinking in the panoramic views whilst dining, or just totally relaxing in the peace and quiet. 3 Bedrooms - 1 Kingsize and 1 Double on the ground floor, and a charming Twin 'crog-loft' room upstairs, which is a much-loved 'secret haven' for children. Bright, recently re-fitted Bathroom with Mira shower over the bath, hand basin, toilet, and heated towel rail completes the indoor accommodation. Outside is a large, fully enclosed garden with a small 'babbling brook' stream at the far end, offering ample recreation space for children to play and adults to relax in peace and privacy. A choice of outside dining areas and BBQ offer the prospect of outdoor living and al fresco dining. Private, secure parking for 2/3 cars. All windows and doors are fully double-glazed. Modern electric heaters throughout ensure that the cottage is cosy all year round, and the multi-fuel stove in the main sitting room burns coal and/or logs, and provides a warming glow on chilly evenings . The cottage is perfect for families of all ages, as well as couples, and offers plentiful accommodation, so that everyone can find their own place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet offered in this very special property. Bed linen and electricity are provided in the tariff, along with a post visit clean. This very attractive detached cottage is decorated with a tasteful coastal theme, including many pieces of local pottery and original paintings, and has comfortable, high quality furnishings. Ty'n Rhyd has been awarded a 4 Star grading by Visit Wales Tourist Board.
Ty'n Rhyd is located towards the westerly end of the unspoiled Llŷn Peninsula, a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and in a unique landscape almost entirely unchanged for hundreds of years. The coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula is simply stunning. Numerous sandy beaches and picturesque small coves make this area a fantastic holiday base for all ages and interests. Once discovered, you will return time and time again. The Llŷn Coastal Path offers breathtaking scenic walks, and access to many hidden coves and beaches. The famous Whistling Sands (Porthor) and Hell's Mouth (Porth Neigwl) beaches should not be missed, and a little further along the peninsula lie the beautiful beaches of Abersoch and Pwllheli. The cottage itself is situated in a stunning countryside location, just two miles from the historic and picturesque seaside village of Aberdaron, which is known as the 'Lands End of Wales'. It has a long maritime history, and crab and lobster fishermen still ply their trade today. A mile-long sandy beach, with excellent visitor facilities in the village, make Aberdaron a highly desirable and popular destination throughout the year. With its renowned bakery, cafes, shops, food take-aways, and two family-friendly pubs, the village offers visitors everything that they could wish for a relaxing break. Aberdaron today is alive with the history and legends of its maritime past, accessible through the National Trust Visitor Centre in the village, Porth y Swnt. It is also famed as the last resting place of pilgrims before they made the perilous sea crossing to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli). The 12th century pilgrim's church of St Hywyn is a must to visit, perched above the bay. A boat trip to Bardsey, known as the Island of 20,000 Saints, offers a memorable day out for all of the family, with the chance to see the large grey seal colony and seabirds including choughs, puffins and manx shearwaters. A little further afield beyond the Peninsula are a host of Welsh delights to visit, all within a couple of hours drive. These include fantastical historic castles (Caernarfon, Conway, Beaumaris, Criccieth, Conway, Harlech to name but a few), the majestic mountains of the Snowdonia range, and underground slate caverns. For the adventurous, why not experience the fastest and longest zip wire in Europe at Zip World, or learn to surf at the unique inland Surf Snowdonia, both within easy driving distance of Ty'n Rhyd, and either one providing a fantastic and unforgettable family day out. The beautiful island of Angelesy (once home to William and Kate, now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) lies just one hour away by car, and a circular drive around the island also makes a great day out. Ty'n Rhyd is a perfect base from which to explore not just the wild and wonderful landscape and coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula, but so much more that North Wales has to offer visitors with its endless beaches, walking trails, characterful towns and the chance to hear the Welsh language spoken daily. Come and see for yourself why many guests return year after year to this very special cottage.
  • The cottage was fantastic for our family holiday. Plenty of space for everyone to relax, and the sun room is really lovely in the morning when the sun comes up over the fields. The garden’s lovely to relax or play in, and the sky’s at night are seriously black for star gazing and spotting the Milky Way. The cottage is brilliantly situated for exploring the many beautiful beaches l, which are sandy, and were never busy. We saw dolphins one evening, and swam in the sea! The mountains of Snowdonia are not too far away, and stunning. Would highly recommend the cottage for exploring the very beautiful Llyn Peninsula. And thank you to Sue for providing the milk and cookies to get us going, and so much useful local information.

  • Very peaceful location, with lovely large garden . Comfortable cottage with lots of seaside decor, and very suitable for our family of 5. The twin bedroom is probably only suitable for children, and access is from steep stairs, which maybe tricky for very young children. Great location for exploring the Llyn Peninsula with plenty beaches within easy reach – 10 minutes drive to Aberdaron beach, 15 minutes to Whistling Sands and a lovely 10-15 walk to the beautiful Porth Ysgo beach, National Trust Plas Rhiw nearby as well as Abersoch, and Llanbedrog. For the 5 days we were there the dishwasher was out of action (the handle broken by a previous guest), but these things happen. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Glandwr is a compact 3 bedroom cottage right on Aberdaron's sandy beach. Local pubs and restaurants nearby provide breakfast, lunch and dinners. Ideal seaside holiday location. Owner lives in the village and can give advice / help.
Glandwr is unusual in Aberdaron for being self catering accommodation that is available for short lets of as little as 2 nights. It's location is superb, at the heart of a holiday village and right by the beach.
Aberdaron is the last village on the western end of the Lleyn Peninsula. The sea is all around us here and the landscape is entirely rural, cross-crossed by tiny country lanes banked with wildflowers.
  • Great location and fantastic for a short break

  • You will not find a better located cottage than this. 20 paces to two outstanding pubs and 20 paces to the beach. Sat on the forecourt taking in the last of the summer sun was what I’ll remember most about this cottage. Blissful

  • We had a lovely stay at Peter's cottage. The location is superb -- views of the sea and the ancient church of St. Hywyn. Communication was good, and the cottage itself has everything you need. Parking is also within easy reach. The sound of the waves lulled us off to a good night's sleep. Thanks so much, Peter!
