This is Glamping at its best, get away from it all, in this luxury heated Sleepy Squirrel Pod, essentially self catering, modern equipped kitchen, ensuite, luxurious double bed, quality bed linen, bathrobes, towels, blackout blinds. Spend a wonderful weekend in this unique compact Pod with a woodland view + patio. Self contained, and all with key safes for self-checkin! checkout availability other two listings: Snoozy Owl Pod and Cosy Cottontail Studio Apartment.
Enjoy moonlight and star gazing in this Eco pod with all the luxury of a five star apartment! This pod is 6m x 3m and has a compact kitchen, table and chairs for cosy dining, an ensuite bathroom with a double shower, constant supply of hot running water and a mains lavatory, electric radiators, little electric stove and a heated blanket:) In the spirit of "getting away from it all " the pod does not have a TV but I do provide a radio, books and games Please note: that WiFi is available on the front porch of the pod and the surrounding areas, the signal doesn't seem to permeate the 2 layers of solid wood, layer of foil or the wool insulation. If you require full WIFI signal and SKY Catchup TV, see my other listing "King bed with Ensuite and full english breakfast" in the main Lodge. Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, and there's enough room for another person or child on a zed bed or airbed or cot bed, this fits in at the foot of the double bed. The pod is made of larch wood, and insulated with a good layer or wool, there's also a layer of foil to keep you Cosy and warm, or cool if soaring summer temperatures need to be kept in check... But this is Yorkshire so we live in hope:)) there's a double glazed bespoke circular door and a window to the side overlooking woodland, this provides you with good natural lighting and air circulation. You will find plenty of coat hooks for walking jackets, a single wardrobe with drawers and a hairdryer. There's head height of 2.5m which gives a feeling of space, unlike the great outdoor tents. The pod is self catering, a local supermarket is just a short walk. Although, in the fridge and on the shelves you will find enough milk to make a warm drink or two, orange juice, bread/crumpets, homemade jam and marmalade, butter and a good selection of coffee, tea, biscuits and chocolates to help you relax! These are complimentary just enjoy :) There are plenty of books and a radio in the pod. The pod has a stone patio area with a table and chairs for you to have breakfast or a late night star gazing experience... Guests are asked politely not to smoke, or light candles, the structure is made entirely of wood , therefore for safety reasons naked flames are not allowed under any circumstances . For ambiance I can provide you with some LED flickering tea lights. Guests are free light candles safely on the patio or garden.
The immediate area is extremely quiet and peaceful, my home is adjacent to a woodland, and a very pretty open (not spooky) cemetery with two beautiful Gothic chapels, one faces North and one South, neither of which are used for any ecclesiastical purposes, but have been converted into office space. The cemetery is used regularly throughout the day and into the evening by dog walkers, and walkers wanting to take a leisurely stroll along the river, or cross the bridge to Middleton Woods (known by locals as Bluebell Woods). From the bedroom window squirrels can be seen scurrying up and down nearby trees, rabbits can be watched playing at dawn and dusk and there's also an owl that can sometimes be heard hooting at night. The pod is in my garden with lawns patios, flowerbeds, trees and the sleeping area overlooks the adjacent woodland. My home is near a Yorkshire Water plant, only water is filtered here to produce drinkable clean water, and any odorous waste is removed and treated at a plant 12 miles away. The wind predominantly blows south to easterly along the river Wharfe, which is in the opposite direction of my home and downstream towards Burley in Wharfedale. Ashlands Road is also the home of the award winning micro brewery "Ilkley Brewery" a bottle of Mary Jane is highly recommended! Although the Pod is self catering, I have left you a supply of tea, coffee, biscuits and chocolates, homemade Jam and Cardamom Marmalade, crumpets, fresh milk in the fridge, enough to start your break. The local independent supermarket is just a 5 minute walk away.

The Bothy is close to Shipley Glen with easy access to Saltaire, the world heritage village and its railway station (15 min walk down the hill through the woods), Leeds Bradford Airport (15 min drive). You’ll love it because it's a self contained character cottage with off street parking. Located next to our house, it's completely private and tucked away, so great if you just want some peace and quiet. It's great for couples, solo adventurers and business travellers. LGTBQ friendly :-)
The Bothy really is a great space and has everything you need for a relaxed stay without the awkwardness of staying in someone's home or the bland surroundings of a generic hotel chain. Situated adjacent to our house, the Bothy is self contained with its own front door. It features a welcoming lounge with a sofa and an easy chair, Freeview tv, DAB radio and log burner. There's also a small table, a bathroom with walk in shower, a compact kitchen, and a first floor bed deck accessed via a staircase that features a double bed, USB charging pods, hanging rail and chest of drawers. We provide free Yorkshire Tea, instant and fresh coffee and a jar of sweet treats. We'll also pop a small Kilner bottle of skimmed milk in the fridge, so you can have a brew as soon as you arrive and settle in. The kitchen is compact and features a two ring halogen hob. There is no conventional oven, however a small counter top oven and microwave are provided. There's also a toaster and kettle. Towels are provided, as well as quality toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and loo roll. Free VirginMedia Wifi. Please note that the Wifi is operated as an extension to the main house hub and sometimes can drop out. It isn't ideal for streaming. The Bothy features a log burning stove. We're happy to supply a starter fuel pack for £8 which will include logs for one night, kindling and firelighters. Further logs can be purchased from local stores or you can simply bring your own. Please let us know if you require a fuel pack before arrival. We provide a range of lifestyle magazines, bought for guests to read. Please don't use them to light the fire or take away with you. There is no washing machine. Should you require anything to be washed we're happy for you to use the machine and the tumble dryer in the main house for a small charge. We do have a travel cot should guests be travelling with a baby. However please note that it can only be set up on the ground floor. The accommodation isn't really suitable for small children. No long terms lets... sorry! Very LGTBQ friendly :-) Please consider travel insurance, all bookings are subject to Airbnb's 'strict' cancellation policy, without exceptions.
The neighbourhood is very residential and quiet. It's a popular area for middle class families. The house is located about 1.5 miles from Baildon village centre where you'll find pubs, bars, restaurants, Co-Op supermarket, cashpoints, post office etc. Ideally you will need a car, but we are accessible via public transport and then on foot or by taxi. Some former guests have marked us down on our location, which amuses me given that there's a map that shows where we are, and I explicitly say we're in a very quiet, residential location. We're set on the hill above Saltaire, the world heritage village which is within a 15 minute walk down through the woods. The village features the world renowned Salt's Mill as well as shops, restaurants, cafes and bars; Saltaire railway station has links to Leeds, Bradford and Skipton. Shipley Glen is a few minutes walk from the house with access to the moors and the Old Glen House pub, which serves food. It is a great base from which to explore Yorkshire's cities such as shoppers paradise Leeds and curry capital Bradford. Its magnificent towns such as Hebden Bridge, Skipton, Harrogate and Ilkley are all within a 30-40 minute drive. Wharfedale, the southern most part of the Yorkshire Dales is within easy reach by car, and features the beautiful Bolton Abbey and picturesque villages of Grassington, Kilnsey and Kettlewell.
  • Fantastic, comfortable, clean and homely as always!

A great house in a great space! The cottage is deep-cleaned with anti-viral cleaner after every stay and offers fabulous, stress-free opportunity for getting out and walking in good clean air in beautiful countryside. Spacious, three-bedroom cottage set in beautiful Nidderdale countryside, very close to Harrogate, York and Leeds. Set on a working smallholding, with pigs, hens, guinea fowl and peafowl. Ideal for families, and for local trips and days out in York, Harrogate and the Dales.
What makes Carr Farm Cottage is the utter serenity and beauty of location, and the fact that it is on a 10-acre working smallholding. You can mingle with pigs, chickens, guinea fowl, peafowl, dogs and cats. But at the same time we are so convenient for Harrogate, Leeds and York
Nidderdale is the forgotten dale--just as beautiful as the rest of the Yorkshire Dales, but classified as as the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (NAONB). Harrogate is very close by for shopping, a fabulous range of restaurants and cafes (including Betty's), Harlow Carr RHS and loads of other facilities. But then there is also Pateley Bridge up the dale, which is a gem of a small Dales Market town, Brimham Rocks, Fountains Abbey (a World Heritage site), Stump Cross Caverns and much more. All this within a radius of 10 miles! York and Leeds are less than an hour's drive (or train from Harrogate) away, and are great shopping centres. York is a hugely impressive place to visit with lots of history and culture. York Minster is a must-see and there are some wonderful museums and it is just a wonderful place to wander around, with tiny medieval streets and Roman city walls still intact in many places.
  • We had a great stay in this very quiet & peaceful cottage. Loved all the nick knacks which made it feel so homely.

    Catherine & David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place - lovely farm setting, close to Harrogate, very comfortable, clean, warm and nicely furnished. Beds v comfortable too. Great to have very tame peacocks and guinea fowl walking around outside too. Helen’s hospitality, rapid communication and helpfulness was much appreciated.

    Bruce2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely, clean cottage with plenty of information about places to visit locally. Communication was excellent and Helen was very lovely, she even went as far as posting my daughters doll back to us before we noticed we had left it. The birds walking around the garden were lovely and my children especially loved the resident peacocks. Even though the weather was terrible we really enjoyed our stay.

    Gemma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely warm cosy cottage. Very homely. It kept out the wet and windy Yorkshie weather.

    Rachael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying at this lovely cottage, the views are fabulous, and the location is perfect. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Helen was incredibly welcoming and supportive.

    Harry2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's place was a wonderful stay for our family get together! The place was beautifully situated in the countryside & having the animals around outside really added to it! The Weaver’s Workshop is part of Cuckoo’s Nest Farm a Grade 2 Listed, traditional 18th century Yorkshire farm. A cosy studio apartment in a tranquil setting. Located on Addingham Moorside, between the spa town of Ilkley and the market town of Skipton on the edge of the magnificent Yorkshire Dales.
The studio apartment has been sympathetically converted from an original Weaver’s Workshop – using natural materials to maintain an authentic feel. It is cosy, with comfortable seating, dining and sleeping areas – including a hand crafted bed made from wood beams from the farm. There is a compact kitchen area with full size oven and a small fridge with freezer compartment, and a modern shower room. There is also 15 acres of woodland and fields for you to enjoy, including a stream that runs through the land, and plenty of places to explore or sit and relax. Ideal for two people, however we can provide a travel cot for a baby and there is a sofa bed for a small child. We love well behaved dogs and they are very welcome however we do make a charge of £5 per stay for them (payable during your stay).
An ideal spot for those who want a break from their busy lives, the Weavers Workshop offers a tranquil retreat in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. You are likely to spot plenty of wildlife, including roe deer, barn owls, kestrel and if you are lucky badgers, foxes and polecats are also regular visitors but a little more elusive. If you like an active break then this is also ideal for you to explore the area on the many footpaths or cycle routes locally of just up the road in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
  • Great location and a lovely host - great little touches which made it extra special.

    Charlie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional communication and outstanding flapjack! Me and my partner were a bit rubbish at replying but Graham and Chris were fantastic, and very helpful! Especially offering us a lift into ilkley for the beer festival!!! The weather on the Sunday was atrocious but Graham was quick to let us know that the road conditions were deteriorating so we could still leave (unfortunately)!! Lovely spot!!

    Rachel2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Weaver’s Cottage is delightful and Graham has thought of everything to make your stay wonderful. The space itself is well thought out, relaxing and cosy. There are so many thoughtful touches and it is such a treat to be in the middle of nowhere with footpaths on your doorstep and local amenities not far away. We will definitely stay here again!

    Bea2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Weavers workshop is located in the most beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is beautifully clean and homely. Graham met us personally and there was lots of little touches about the place which made us feel more at home! We particularly enjoyed walking our dog through the fields nearby. We will definitely be back to stay again.

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The weaver's cottage was idyllic. The interior was cosy and beautiful, and Graham and Chris were so thoughtful and generous! There were wonderful touches, like fresh eggs, home made yoghurt pots and flapjacks, and the interior was rustic and beautiful. The location is peaceful and quiet, and a short walk from the moor. One of the loveliest places I've stayed!

    Anna2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful little place tucked away in the countryside. We were blown away by all the thoughtful touches and eco-friendly amenities. Fresh bread, flapjack, jam, butter, beer, juice, yoghurts (we mentioned we were vegan so Graham left us a soya milk in the fridge!) Environmentally friendly products eg. washing liquid, toilet roll, bamboo sandwich boxes. There was everything we could possibly need. Comfy bed, powerful hot shower. The place felt warm and comfortable despite the chill outside. Plenty of great walks really close by. Thruscross Reservoir was a particularly beautiful walk, and the Swan Inn in Carleton, Skipton, was delicious (both days)!! Graham was a fantastic host, and we would recommend anyone who's looking to stay in the area. Thanks!

  • This is our first stay in an Airbnb and I suspect the bar has been set very high! Our accommodation was lovely and spotlessly clean and great shower. It’s handy to have our own entrance separate from the main house. Breakfast was delicious and Linda couldn’t have been more helpful. Look forward to staying again.

    Sally2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent in all respects.

    Fiona2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and her husband have a lovely room that has everything you need. They even have a fridge ready for anything you would like to bring. We stayed for a wedding at Bolton abbey and they were even kind enough to give us a lift, which saved hassle with taxis and the stress of potentially not getting there in time! We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was all ready for a time convenient for us. Fruit and cereal, toast or a full English which my boyfriend enjoy thoroughly. Thank you for such a lovely stay. I would highly recommend Linda’s place.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay at the Joiners Shop - a beautiful cottage in a stunning location that was very tastefully decorated. We felt at home straight away! The cottage was located perfectly for a wedding at the Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey and for exploring the local area. Despite Storm Dennis, we still managed to find plenty to do (including ice cream and milkshakes at Billy Bob's Parlour!). The log burner definitely came in handy for some cozy evenings in while the storm raged outside! We hope to return again in summer to take advantage of the outside space when the sun is shining! Thank you Peter & Jane for the warm welcome and the lovely stay!

  • Absolutely lovely cottage in a gorgeous location. Pictures don't do the property justice. Vaulted ceiling and beams made the place feel very spacious. Just loved it. Bedding was lovely as was the super king size bed. Loved the wood burning stove. Views were lovely. Kitchen was spacious and well equipped as was the large utility room with washing machine and dryer. Loved the stone floor in the kitchen diner. Would highly recommend

Low Sanfitt Cottage is adjacent to our farmhouse home, although is not overlooked (apart from the sheep!) and offers complete privacy. We recently redecorated and refurbished the cottage and are delighted to offer a cottage decorated to a high standard.
Surrounded by open farmland and enjoys a quiet and peaceful location on the edge of The Yorkshire Dales National Park. The cottage is fully modernised offering character and charm with exposed beams, wood lintels, flagged floor and a fireplace with a multi-fuel stove for cosy nights in. The bathroom is conveniently situated on the ground floor.
We are lucky enough to live on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and around 4 miles from Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and a similar distance to Ilkley, a gentile Victorian Spa Town.
  • We stayed at Holly’s place while in between houses as we had 3 weeks before we could get into our new place. It was perfect for us and our two dogs and did the job very nicely. The place and owners is very canine friendly, with dog biscuits, towels and blankets provided as standard! It is conveniently just off the main road, but far enough off it that you forget it’s there. While it is attached to Holy and Anthony’s house, you would never know it was. They have done a great job in separating them off so you have complete privacy. Ilkley and Addingham (both have loads of great pubs, restaurants and shops) are so close too, as are the Yorkshire Dales - you can see the foothills of the national park from the back windows), while Skipton is about 10-15 mins drive away too. Staying in February we saw the lot; bright sunshine, 50mph winds and 8” of snow on one morning followed by a full meltdown in the same day. The house was a cosy haven throughout and Holly kept us in logs and coals to keep us warm. The house is tastefully decorated and very well appointed, with great use of space. A fantastic open plan lounge/dining area, separate kitchen and a separate little living area on the landing outside the two bedrooms gives you all you need. If anything the photos on here may make it feel smaller than it is (don’t be fooled). As the listing mentions, the bathroom is on the ground floor, which was no issue for us but may be for some. It has very much been considered with a little torch in the bedside table for late night trips to the loo . Holly’s place comes very well recommended.

    Peter2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful Cottage, exceeded all our expectations, a real home away from home in every sense, great location close to all the most beautiful parts of the Yorkshire dales, Holly is a wonderful host, really look after you well, cannot wait to go back

    David2019-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully appointed little cottage, with such thoughtful touches, a great location and everything you need for a break. We went in autumn and enjoyed great days out - lots to see and do all within 30mins or less from this great location - and then enjoyed very relaxed evenings in this fabulous cottage in front of the log fire. Just perfect!

    Marsha2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage is perfect with everything you could want in it! Great host!

  • What a wonderful restful week we had with our two girls aged 11 & 9. Holly & Anthony were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our girls loved playing in the orchard with Elsa the dog and will miss her bundles of energy! A perfect location to visit so many places in the area and return in the evening to some home from home comforts. The brownies and wine were much appreciated too. Very comfortable beds and sofas. Amazing views filled with sheep and cows with some entertainment. Thanks for everything. ❤️

  • This is a lovely cottage to stay in. The place is stylish with all you’ll need plus lots of little touches to make the place special. The location is really good; within easy reach of Ilkley and Skipton and a walk to Addingham. Holly and her husband are friendly and responsive but happy to give you your privacy. The cottage was spotlessly clean and it really suited our family of two adults and two young children. I’d recommend it to anyone and would certainly come back.

    Ian2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • A delightful escape - thank you Holly! Perfect family base for exploring the stunning surroundings of the national park and other local areas. Especially close to Bolton Abbey. Well equipped, very homely and comfortable - we had a fantastic time in the cottage with our young daughter. Great lounge for relaxing and practical kitchen, with comfy bedrooms and spottless bathroom. As well as a lovely little outside space to eat in good weather and great views of the local farmlife. We'd love to stay again in the future.

High House Cottage is nestled away in a beautiful, secluded & tranquil spot on Addingham Moorside (adjacent to the famous Ilkley Moor) directly on the Millenium Way walking route. That said, it’s a short drive or stroll to Addingham, Ilkley & Bolton Abbey. The cottage is attached to our family home yet is very private with its own access, parking & garden. Furnished with families & couples in mind, the cottage would also suit walkers or cyclists. Sociable and well behaved dogs very welcome.
Cosy yet spacious cottage in a secluded, south facing ‘get away from it all’ location but close to village centre. Would suit walkers, cyclists, couples, families & all those wishing to explore the local area.
Addingham Moorside yet only a short drive or stroll from Addingham village with 5 pubs, shops, chemist, etc. The famous spa town of Ilkley is 3 miles away - independent restaurants, bars, shops, coffee shops, a cool independent cinema & of course, the legendary Ilkley Moor. Skipton - gateway to the dales - is 10 minutes drive & the beautiful Bolton Abbey estate is exactly 3.4 miles. Loads of exploring, places to go & things to do close by. This is an ideal as a base to soak up all the surrounding area has to offer.
  • We were so lucky to find this wonderful, peaceful, harmonious place. Wonderful for walking, not too far from shops and good pubs. We were very happy here!

  • Idyllic location with beautiful views across fields and the moors. Great hospitality for our whole stay. Immaculately clean cottage. Take wellies as you are literally on the farm amongst the sheep 🐑. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. It was everything and more than I expected with lovely retro and antique touches. Very spacious rooms throughout.

  • Absolutely loved our stay in the cottage the touches that Sally has put to it really makes it stand out. I could of easily just stayed in and read a book all weekend it was that cozy, I'm already thinking about another trip up to Yorkshire.

  • Great spot and a simple lovely clean cottage with everything you need. We were two couples, which worked well, but it would work well for a family. Lovely books to look at. Nice welcoming touches. Linen on the beds. Friendly and welcoming. We had an amazing warm September evening with a fire bowl out under the stars. The next evening was cold, so we lit the woodburner. Just great. Pam

    Tania2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, warm and cosy cottage, rural but close enough to explore fantastic area - Bolton Abbey, Howarth and Skipton all worth a visit and whole area is very dog friendly. Info in house helpful as were previous guests comments AND lovely touches with eggs (from visible chickens) wine and milk on arrival. Owners live next door if any issues and yes, track to house is rough but just drive carefully and dodge the cows!

  • Clare was great at communicating with us whilst planning our weekend break in Addingham. She left useful tips on places to go and the Fleece pub opposite is ideal for a Sunday roast! There is a small playpark nearby which was ideal for our toddler and the local coop had everything you need for the fridge. It was a beautiful cottage and perfect for the weekend away.

  • A fantastic place to stay with friends and a very well maintained home that was clean tidy and with some lovely little touches such as the breakfast bits that were kindly left for us. The home itself is very modern but still holds that cottage feel. Jonny was very quick with responses to any questions we had and communicated very well. Would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend to others visiting the area.

  • Sparkling clean, very comfortable and perfect for a stay near the Dales. We came with a toddler and a baby and had ample space. Very comfy beds! Jonny could not have been more helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

    Laura2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jonny and Oliver's house was wonderful! Their home is stylish, comfortable and has everything you could ever need (the smart lights and heating controlled by Alexa were fun!) We all agreed that both the beds were the comfiest we have ever slept in - honestly - we didn't want to leave them! The location is great too. Although we were only there for 1 night we experienced 2 great pubs, both only a short walk away. The village is nice and the people were friendly. Jonny and Oliver were both friendly, polite, great hosts and very quick to respond to any queries. Oliver checked us in and made us feel very welcome. Considering this was their first time, it's amazing all of the things they have thought of -they seem like pros! All in all a 10/10 stay! Thank you!

    Harry2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a weekend! The weather was stunning, the place was exactly what we needed and I think it provided so much more than we would have had from a Hotel. We particularly enjoyed the space, the privacy and the fact we were able to take a few quiet moments on either of the two paved areas, while the kids played board games inside. A great base for exploring the Dales!

A rural retreat with commanding views. We are up at 1000ft on the back of Ilkley Moor looking south towards Haworth and Bronte country as well as being on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park with Bolton Abbey just 5 miles away. Although isolated, there are good local rail and bus links to Bradford and Leeds for those missing city life! The Shippon is ideal for that "get away from it all feeling" and for those who don't want all the amenities on their doorstep! Well behaved dogs welcome
Access to the Shippon is via a 3/4 mile farm track with 3 gates. This is fine for cars with normal ground clearance and careful driving but not suitable for low slung vehicles. The weather on the moor can make getting in an out of cars to open and shut the gates a memorable experience so we advise that guests should be physically fit enough to cope happily with this!
  • Beautiful location

    Nina2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location, right on the moors and some lovely walks. Be warned it's down a small gravel road, so don't bring a low car. The cottage is lovely, and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again if we come back to the area. Ilkley is a lovely local town with great restaurants and shops.

    Jo2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay, the Shippon is gorgeous, everything we needed and more at this cottage! The surrounding countryside is stunning! We tried to take photos but they didn't do it justice!! Our dog had a fantastic time leaping about the moors! Keith is a fantastic host, very attentive and welcoming! Thank you so much Keith, we will be back soon I'm sure!!!

    Fiona2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in a wonderful area if you are looking for peace and tranquility and wonderful views. There are plenty of opportunities for walks. The cottage is cosy and well equipped.

  • We had a lovely time at the Shippon, the cottage was exactly as described and just perfect as a little retreat in the middle of nowhere.

  • What a beautiful place! Such a brilliant location for walks onto Ilkley Moor as well as a short drive to the Dales. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The little cottage has everything you need and such a cosy vibe! Keith was lovely and so helpful. We had such a lovely stay!

    Lauren2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Shippon is in an absolutely gorgeous location if you you are looking for some peace and quiet. You can't get remoteness like this, without being prepared to drive up a long farm track! But it is certainly well worth it. Keith provides a clean, cosy, comfortable and independently well equipped "cottage" that is attached to his own home. Keith is friendly and helpful and easily contactable when you need him.

    Simon2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from the most peaceful week at the Shippon. The views are incredible and the accommodation itself is well equipped, clean, tidy, and homely, as well as very dog friendly. Keith and Jane are the most welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The Shippon is situated perfectly for gorgeous walks straight from the door and the addition of the maps really helped us explore the area to its fullest! Thank you both. We would happily return :)

A cosy, country cottage with a woodburning stove in the heart of the village of Addingham within the Yorkshire Dales. Close to all village amenities and on good bus routes. Walks into the Dales from the doorstep including historic Bolton Abbey. Train station in Ilkley or Skipton. A welcome pack is provided of coffee, milk, bread, juice and biscuits...all free!
This is a holiday cottage. Check out (URL HIDDEN) The cottage can accommodate people in a double and a twin or two doubles. There is an option for a fifth person on a foldaway single bed in a walk through room (this is suited to accommodate a child as there is no privacy). Please ensure that you look at the floor plan to understand the space available. The top attic double bedroom is very low beamed on both sides. Parking is on the street outside the cottage. This cottage would not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
The cottage is in a village with five pubs within 5mins walking distance. Two of the pubs are renowned eateries. There is an Indian takeaway just a quick walk away. Information for these are in the cottage. Bolton Abbey is a walk away and the cottage is on the Dalesway walk.
  • Anna's place is really cute, and the location couldn't be better. 10 minutes in a taxi from the train station, it is a very picturesque town which has a co-op down the road for any needs. The extra touches in the house were really appreciated. The only additions I'd make are up to date photos (it's even nicer than it looks online) and a mirror in the bedrooms would be useful as there were 2 mirrors and 3 of us trying to get ready.

    Stef2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautifully clean, cosy and comfortable. Kitted out with all you'd need for a homely stay and with a really lovely welcome basket, which was an added bonus. Contact with the host was friendly and helpful. The area is brilliant. Addingham is a great village boasting great pubs and we ventured further afield to have tea at "Betty's" in Ilkley and to take some breath taking walks around Malham and Ilkley. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

  • Anna's place was great. We'd been staying in hotels for the previous 10 days, so it was lovely to have a warm and welcoming space to spread out. The flowers that were left in the lounge and bedroom were a lovely touch, and we were also grateful for the the breakfast provisions provided. We had a minor mishap with the key (totally our fault), and gave Anna a call. She came around straight away and fixed everything for us with no issue at all. Also a great location across the road from the pub! Would love to stay there again if we're back in the area.

Parking on the bigger road nearby was no problem (even with a bigger car). High street, Bronte Personage museum and pubs close by. So many nice cafes and pubs to check out and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Cobbles and Clay Deli. The Haworth Old Hall had a pop up gin bar in a marquee which was great. The Bronte Personage Museum was so interesting and well worth a visit and we took a the steam train through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. The Cottage was clean, bright and had a fab shower and really efficient heating. Lina had left tea coffee and milk which was thoughtful. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and oh so quiet and peaceful. The communication was brilliant and I think the key safe is a great idea, first time I had used this with airbnb but what a brilliant idea. We would definitely return.

  • Comfy, cosy, clean and reasonable place close to centre of Haworth. Really enjoyed our stay.

Very welcoming comfortable home situated in an ideal location for everything Ilkley has to offer being just a two minute walk from the town centre and a five minute walk from the train and bus station. Two rooms are available - 1 double and one twin with very comfortable beds (the twin beds being 3ft wide). All bars, shops, restaurants and cinema are literally within a 2/3 minute walk. The renowned Ilkley Moor Cow and Calf is also within an easy 5 min walk.
Lovely, light and airy Victorian home situated in the middle of Ilkley with all the many bars, restaurants and shops that Ilkley has to offer only a short two mins walk away. There are two rooms available - one double and one twin, both with the use of a shared bathroom. All beds are very comfortable with cotton sheets and towels provided. The twin beds are more like small doubles as they are 3ft wide! The double room is on the first floor next to the bathroom and the twin is on the second floor. Both rooms are lovely, light, airy, quiet and peaceful. For guests staying two nights or more the kitchen is available for preparing breakfast.
Ilkley has everything to offer and hosts a variety of annual events such as the Ilkley Literatute Festival, Ilkley Arts Trail, Ilkley Triathalon, Continental Market, Ilkley Food & Drink Festival, Beer Festival and many more! It marks the beginning of the Dalesway Walk and is a great base for exploring the Dales either by car or on foot. There is also the Ilkley Lido for the brave! Ilkley Park is close by for the children or you can walk along the river to nearby Addingham, have a great pub lunch in one of the many pubs there and get the bus home (or walk back if you're up for it!)
  • Caroline gave hubby and myself a very warm welcome in her charming, clean and a great location home. We felt lucky that our request to check in and check out was feasible which made it easier to explore and enjoy Ilkley without our luggage. Our room was comfortable and cosy and we appreciated the delicious cappuccino style coffees which we made ourselves in the room. We highly recommend Caroline’s home and don’t hesitate in giving it 5*. Many thanks. X X

  • Caroline's place is warm, comfortable and sparkling clean. Tea/ coffee in the room is always appreciated too after a long day. It was an enjoyable stay in Ilkley.

  • Such a gorgeous house and a very warm welcome from Caroline. The house couldn't be more central and the cycle cafe opposite opens at 8.30am for a top quality coffee. The twin room has two good good sized single beds and a kettle and nice options for hot drinks. Good shower, nice and warm in the house plus a parking permit if you need to bring the car. Thanks Caroline!

This is a compact ground floor, stylish fully equipped Cosy Cottontail Studio Apartment. There is a luxurious bedroom with a bespoke upholstered double bed, new ensuite, freeview TV, DVD, Radio, USB charger & speaker, fully equipped modern kitchen, sofabed, dining table and chairs. Wi-Fi, quality bed linen, bathrobes, and fluffy towels. A complimentary selection of teas, coffee, biscuits provided for you to enjoy a relaxed stay (min 2 night) in this peaceful private apart - or self-Isolate
The Cosy Cottontail Studio Apartment has everything you will need to enjoy a break in glorious Ilkley. Your own private secure entrance and private space with luxurious double bed, and newly refurbished ensuite shower room, fully equipped modern kitchen, free Wi-Fi, Freeview TV, walk in wardrobe, shelving, dining area and sofa. Enjoy moonlight and star gazing in this luxury five star ground floor apartment! Sleeps 2 adults in a double bed, there is room for a cot in the bedroom area, this area essentially sleeps 2 adults and an infant. A cot can be provided if required. The kitchen has a sofa bed that sleeps an adult or two small children as the mattress is just larger than a single bed. The kitchen cannot be used when the sofa bed is extended. The apartment is private and secure and was formerly part of my family home.
The neighbourhood The immediate area is extremely quiet and peaceful, my home is adjacent to a woodland, and a very pretty open (not spooky) cemetery with two beautiful Gothic chapels, one faces North and one South, neither of which are used for any ecclesiastical purposes, but have been converted into trendy office space. The cemetery is used regularly throughout the day and into the evening by walkers, and is a short cut to the river Wharfe. Take a romantic leisurely stroll along the river, or cross the bridge to Middleton Woods (known by locals as Bluebell Woods). From the bedroom window squirrels can be seen scurrying up and down nearby trees, rabbits can be watched playing at dawn and dusk and there's also a pair of owls that can sometimes be heard hooting at night. The main house is adjacent to the apartment, and its known as the Old Lodge, I love my home, and find the peace and tranquility of the location brings me and my visitors great joy. The wind predominantly blows south to easterly along the river Wharfe, which is in the opposite direction of my home and downstream towards Burley in Wharfedale. There is a Yorkshire Water plant close by, although only the top water is processed here and filtered several times to produce drinkable clean water, any odorous waste is removed and treated at a plant more than 12 miles. My home is also close to the home of the award winning microbrewery "Ilkley Brewery" a bottle of their very own Mary Jane is highly recommended!
  • This little place was perfect for a weekend trip to Yorkshire. It was easy to check-in and the property was absolutely lovely. Mechele was super quick at responding as well, will definitely stay again if we go back to Ilkley!

We got a taxi into Ilkley on the evening after a very long walk as our legs couldn’t take any more! Cost about £4. Loads to do around and about. Host was super quick in replying to messages. Can’t say much more than it was great all round!

A perfect lock up and go apartment in the charming village of Addingham and on the route of The Dales Way Walk. Our apartment is situated in the unique Low Mill, which was a water-powered textile mill built-in 1787. Ideal for the start of the Dales Way or just a getaway and amble around the Yorkshire Dales. A mere 10/12 minute walk up into the Village for the local pubs, 2 miles from Ilkley and perfect for wedding guests with Bolton Abbey and the Tithe Wedding Barn on the doorstep.
