Places to stay in Adelaide River
Self contained 1 bedroom cabin overlooking a natural bird filled Billabong. Set on the Historic Mt Bundy Station cattle property with adjoining tourist park facility. Right on the banks of the Adelaide River. Air conditioned and fanned for the tropics . Outdoor deck and BBQ area. Access to swimming pool , Outback Bar " The Cheeky Bull Bar " and pizza. Only 40min drive to Litchfield National Park and on the way south to Katherine and Kakadu National Park .
The Monsoon Cabin is set away from the hustle of our popular tourist resort. We are a working property with all the usual farm animals and activities of a farm. We do allow caravans and campers ...dry season is our busy time ...wet season is awesome and quiet.
Adelaide river township is only 3km drive away. we are only 110km from the city of Darwin but once you arrive you feel like you are in the outback. Actually we are right on the edge. Robin falls and Litchfield National Park are only a short drive. Lots of WWII history too in the vicinity. Only a 40 min drive to the famous Litchfield National Park for a dip in the water falls .
  • The monsoon cabin has everything a family needs for a comfortable stay. Beds comfortable and the cabin was very clean. The fence around the cabin was handy as our kids could play safely and knew not to go out (crocodiles not far away!). There are other houses on the property which may suit some families better. We will return to Mount Bundy Station and next time we will choose a bigger cottage style. Our kids loved the animals and we used the pool at least twice a day. Thanks for a great family holiday sue!

Be immersed in the rugged beauty of our Northern bushland, from the luxury and comfort of this two story (dressed up) shipping container. Open your eyes in the morning to a breathtaking escarpment of native bush. This makes the perfect space to come home to after exploring Litchfield's waterfalls and attractions. This cabin is set on it's own, with a short walk to Cabin 1 and the owners' residence. We provide eggs and bacon for breakfast, milk yoghurt and a treat for you in the refridgerator.
We operate on both solar (day time),and generator at night (silent generator located at main house). Cabins are secluded in bush land, interconnected to each other by a 70 metre solar lit path. Be surrounded by natural bushland, with Birds and kangaroos for company, only minutes drive from waterfalls and rockpools. You have the choice of cooking on the deck outside or in aircon comfort inside. A luxurious bathroom is a welcome friend after exploring the National Park, and only the stars to keep you awake at night. Unless you prefer to snuggle into the couch for a movie.
Hideaway is located in bushland surrounded by beautiful Litchfield National Park. There are 2 cattle stations down our road so there may be the rattling of cattle trucks heard if sitting outside on the deck. ( not overnite). From the upstairs deck you can see both sunset and sunrise, and in the wet season be amazed by the dramatic storms illuminating the sky.
  • Will not disappoint! Perfectly situated near all Litchfield has to offer. Super modern and stylish, feels like absolute luxury, yet so remote.

  • This was as photographed. Very clean and tidy. As others have mentioned there are alot of lovely extra touches. A relaxing place to stay.

  • I came to Darwin to visit my niece and discovered this amazing little hideaway. The owners Viv and Rog were amazing hosts, so accommodating and friendly. The two storey bungalow was beautiful and clean with modern fixtures. The little extras were a lovely little bonus. The bungalow provided the tranquility of the remote Litchfield National Park with the luxury of a five star accommodation. We visited the many waterfalls and swimming holes and return to this lovely accommodation. I highly recommend and will definitely return one day.

    Lisa2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot recommend the Hideaway enough! Rog & Viv are lovely & clearly have great taste. Lounging on the deck, watching the storm roll in from the panoramic windows in the bedroom, or a beautiful rain shower after a day of exploring Litchfield....best accommodation around!

    Lauren & Susan2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend this place highly enough! It is beautifully designed and great for a getaway at any time of the year due to the effective air conditioning. The hosts clearly put a lot of effort into this place, evidenced by the many thoughtful touches such as tea bags, mosquito repellent and coils, a fan in the bedroom and many others (don't want to ruin the surprise). A perfect solution for people who want to explore Litchfield without camping, or just want to sit around and relax in the peaceful environment. Thank you so much! Will definitely be returning : )

    Kate2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Hideaway was the most beautiful getaway. Our second story bedroom with wall to wall windows made it feel like we were right in the bush and we were able to watch the stars, and a lightning storm from bed. Rog and Viv were very thoughtful and friendly, even bringing us fresh flowers! 100% recommend hideaway as a place you can stay in luxury while still experiencing the beautiful Australian bush.

    Thomp2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place. True to it’s name - this is literally a cabin that you go to and hide. Set in the beautiful bush land of the top end, this is a place you won’t want to miss

    Linzi2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so stunning and serine. You could be anywhere in the world. So private and tranquil. Viv & Rog were so accomodating allowing out 2 children to stay as well. Such a beautiful place to come back to after a day or swimming at the waterfalls. Excellent location just outside. Thank you so much.

A perfect getaway in a spacuous, tidy bungalow which has your own private pontoon and is extremely well set up with new funiture, linen, tidy appliences along with extras which will make you feel welcome. There is endless sporting equipment provided such as a dingy with an electric motor a push bike, large canoe, 4 paddle boards, 2 kids kayaks and a dartboard. The bungalow is unique as it has extra garden areas to relax in. It is fully self contained, very clean with a BBQ provided.
The furniture in the bungalow is of an excellent quality. Most of the furniture and linen etc is new. There is a large inside fridge and an outside drink fridge. Two TVs, one in the lounge room and one in the main bedroom with DVD players for both. There are DVS provided, games, a portable speaker and a Bbq. There are many unique, funky sitting areas to relax by the garden and water. There are herbs and paw paws growing in the back garden to share with the guests. The garden areas are well maintained and pretty. I take pride in cleanliness and making the space feel unique and welcoming. A space to enjoy.
The community of Lake Bennett is fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. If you are up early you will see the active members of the community biking, running and walking. There are also various birds to see, fish and wildlife in and around the water. The water is safe to swim in.
  • What a great little bungalow for rest and relaxation. The garden and amenities are fabulous - I loved paddling in the canoe and relaxing out on the pontoon. The bed is super comfy and the location is just so picturesque. Pip is a lovely host with prompt communication. Highly recommend.

  • SS Retreat is the perfect little getaway. The cabin offers everything you could possibly want and more. Location is gorgeous, cabin is so clean and fully equipped, everything you need to play or relax at your fingertips.

    Rachel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Pip’s place. Everything was as described and such a lovely location right on the Lake, a place where you can swim and paddle in safety. Check in was a breeze and the cabin has every comfort you could want. I’d highly recommend SS Retreat and would gladly stay there again.

  • This place is really nice, it is ready to enjoy, we had some raining days and it was not a problem, we had dvds and board games. And as soon the rain stops we jump to the lake.

Our place is for nudists (or clothing optional ) who enjoy nature and a bush experience. Accommodation is The Cabin made predominantly from recycled materials on our private 140ac block of land. It has a ceiling fan, plenty of fly screened louvers and solar power. There's an outside cooking area with 12v chest fridge. Theres an outdoor camping toilet and shower which are both unscreened with views of the surrounding countryside. Access to The Cabin is up 99 steps but we drive you up when you arrive and depart if required with your luggage.
The Cabin is on a hilltop close to our house and we share the toilet and shower which are open air outside. It has its own 12v power. There is a 2 burner gas camping stove 12v chest fridge on wheels that can be pulled out from under the workbench. Inside The Cabin there is a ceiling fan with remote, a cupboard with 2 drawers and 2 shelves below. A timber Queen size bed and matching 3 drawer bedside cupboards. There is also a small desk/table and swivel chair. Outside there are 2 chairs and a small table. There is also a shared patio with BBQ, table, chairs and market umbrella for shade.
The peace and quiet is the main attraction and living close to nature and the elemants. This is definitely a place to rest and relax or take long walks and enjoy the natural environment. Be it wet season storms or beautiful cloudless dry season days.
  • Staying at Marumba is a stay that you will not easily forget. I would class it as living in paradise in the Australian bush with great hosts that will pass on local knowledge of the area they live in. They are proud of the work they have done to build Marumba to excellent place for visitors to enjoy their stay. Well done. Keith, Rick and Luc

    Ron2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • OMG expect the unexpected words can’t say how amazing spending time with Keith on country of the Warray and Limilngan-Wulna people.

  • A fantastic place to relax

    Peter2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Was a real pleasure to stay here! Keith & Rick are true gentlemen, great to meet you, and thanks so much for your kindness, courtesy and helpfulness. The location is sublime, beautiful wild country all around, amazing views. It is great to relax in the nuddie, and facilities met our needs. Was great to receive more understanding of the local Cultures. The cabin had excellent airflow, very nicely designed! All-in-all just a BLISSFUL STAY. Thankyou so much!!

    Peter & Kathryn2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • I want a quiet get away and Marumba has provide me the experience I want, I am able to enjoy a cloths free time here. Keith & Rick are very helpful they offer to pick me up from Adelaide River once I got there by bus. Their place is private from the outside. I stay in a private cabin not far away from where they live. Do remind this is a off grid place so toilet and water is outside. You can enjoy a nice view of sun set and sun rise from the outdoor area and Keith also prepared coffee while we enjoy the sun rise, Rick show me picture of them building the place which is impressive. In the morning Keith and Rick also take me to a nudist bush walk in their land "is a bloody big land" there are Australia wildlife here like kangaroos and birds I am lucky to saw some. They bring me to swim in the billabong that only happens during the wet season. Too bad I have scheduled for other place or else I would like to stay another day . I will definitely visit Marumba again.

Lake Bennett is a beautiful peaceful location only a short drive from Darwin where you can sit back, swim in the safety of a privately owned lake, relax & forget about the rest of the world for a while. It is a home away from home with stunning wildlife & simply magical sunsets.
The Lily Pad on the Lake is a comfortable little older style bungalow that can comfortably sleep up to 6 adults (a maximum of 8 but that would be rather cosy) it is more ideally suited to a family or 2 couples & a few kids. It is an ideal location for a family holiday or romantic trip away, it is right on Lake Bennett which is 30mins south of Darwins Rural hub. It boasts a private pontoon right on the lake equipped with a 3mtr Boat (& elec motor), 2 Kayaks & various inflatable water toys & a private boat ramp if you want to bring your own tinny or sailing boats (only electric powered boats are allowed on the lake). The living area & bedrooms are fully air conditioned & the living area opens out onto your own secure deck with outdoor seating & BBQ, the deck area is enclosed via secure pool fencing & has a safety gate to access a ramp down to your private pontoon & the lake. The lake is safe for swimming, fishing & all water sports. The Bungalow is equipped with a fully functional kitchen & laundry as well as a gas BBQ, fridge/freezer, microwave & all cooking utensils, plates, cutlery & some fishing gear & a selection of board games & books & a large collection of DVD’s, it is your complete home away from home. There is also Free to air TV (via satellite which can be sketchy during storms or high winds) & a DVD player for those who can drag themselves away from the water. As an added bonus (if you are bringing the teenagers) there is good Telstra phone reception but there is no wifi so you can enjoy a technology free break & pretend to live like we did back in the 80's & 90's, you will find it is surprisingly relaxing ;). There are life jackets provided & a chilled water filter tap on the sink so all you need to bring is your food & drinks & please keep in mind where there is water there will be mosquitos & bugs as such we recommend you bring personal insect repellent as well. Linens & bath towels are provided but we suggest bringing your own beach towels. Guests are required to clean up after themselves & leave the bungalow as they found it. Please wash & put away your dishes & please strip the beds of all dirty linens & leave them on the floor in the laundry. Additional guests are not permitted unless you have the owners approval prior to arrival. We do allow some pets but this is by owners approval only as there are body Corporate rules in place in regards to pets in the bungalows, so you MUST send a request with details about your pet prior to Booking. Although we do not have a pet surcharge as yet, we do require any guests with an approved pet to vacuum & mop prior to check out & brush down furniture for stray pet hair. Lake Bennett is a remote rural area and as such there can be a lot of bugs after dark at certain times of the year so it is a good idea to keep the windows, doors & curtains & blinds closed at night. Our property is a very comfortable little cabin with all the essentials, it is not a big 5 star all inclusive resort & we are not trying to be :) it is aimed at the people who want to escape all the technology & mod cons & get back to basics for a few days & just simply RELAX. We hope you enjoy your stay :)
Lake Bennett is a small quiet community made up of both rental Bungalows and permanent residents, the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away from reality. The body corp of Lake Bennett has rules in place to protect the area & retain our peaceful vibe, there are no parties allowed & noise restrictions after 10pm. Guests are not to have additional visitors with out clearing this with the property owners first.
  • A hidden treasure and great place to base your Top End holiday. Amanda was the perfect host and made sure we were well looked after.

  • Great spot. Quiet and right on the lake. Great for older kids, with kayaks available at your door. Definitely need to take everything with you food wise, as the host recommends, we stocked up and had a great time. Bird watching, swimming, reading and relaxing. Amazing place.

  • Excellent cabin location with great water amenities – pontoon, boat, kayaks, etc. An excellent weekend on the lake.

  • Gorgeous cozy bungalow with a beautiful view. Great amenities, we enjoyed an afternoon kayak around the lake every day. We were allowed to bring our Golden Retriever Indy along with us which made the trip all the more special. Perfect dry season get away

    Ellie & Ryan2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • You cannot go wrong with this lakeside location. Launch the boat or jump in a kayak straight off your private pontoon! There is also a kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm, entertainment options and a shaded deck to relax on if it gets too hot out on the pontoon. I definitely recommend a visit!

    Liam2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is located on a beautiful and tranquil lake. The views are breathtaking and we followed Amanda's advice to bring food to cook throughout our stay. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking and using the location as a base to explore Litchfield.

Cute bungalow on the edge of Lake Bennett, one hour's drive south of Darwin city and 40 minutes from Coolalinga (nearest shopping centre). Step off the verandah, walk across the lawn and you're at the water's edge. Fully equipped with gas cook-top, pod coffee-maker, microwave, Weber Q gas bbq, cooking utensils. Kayaks. Free to air TV (via satellite). No Wi-Fi. Mobile coverage with Telstra. BYO linen or hire mine. You are required to clean before you depart.
The bungalow is surrounded by other bungalows (they are positioned shoulder to shoulder around the edge of the lake) so there's always someone to say hello to if you want to be friendly, but each bungalow has its own yard so you have your own private space.
Lake Bennett is a lakeside community. You are welcome to visit the Resort (if open) and make use of its facilities, including bar, bistro, mini-mart, hire canoes. The bungalows are located at the other end of the lake, around the fringe of the lake.

Our bungalow is on Lake Bennetts shady north foreshore. Perfect for a weekend getaway, or stay a week and enjoy the surrounding areas that Darwin has to offer. Peaceful and perfect. Keys to be collected in Nakara NT
Lake Bennett is one of those very special places. Swimming, kayak or take out our peddle boat. Relaxing, fishing off the shore or kayak fish. We also have a tinny if you have an electric motor. Perfect for a family getaway.

  • Sue’s Beautiful property was just perfect for our base while we explored litchfield. Sue was beyond welcoming - she’s there if you need her but also gives you your privacy. We had the most wonderful time - and her three dogs are angels!

  • The room is small, but well equipped with a fridge, table, closet, airco and private bathroom. Basic cooking provisions outside. Quite, next to the highway, about 30min from Litchfield NP and 90km from Darwin CBD. Would stay again.

    Jimmy2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Oakey Downs, where we enjoyed the BEST upgrade...to the lodge! The lodge is HUGE and decorated country/horsey style, and is extremely comfortable. The cabins are, of course, much smaller but perfectly adequate for all your needs. It is a reasonable drive to Batchelor and then to Litchfield National Park, but if you like friendly people and being out on the farm, surrounded by beautiful animals...this place is for you!

Our place is in a prime location with entry to the Cascades waterfalls less than 1km from our driveway. Wangi Falls 4km away, Tolmer 11km, Buley Rockhole 27km, Florence Falls and Walker Creek are all within a 20 minutes drive. A small fee is payable to cover diesel used for the generator if guests would like the house fully Air Conditioned over the build up and wet season. This however is optional please let us know when you book if you want this option.
Wangi Falls holiday house is situated on an Eco Estate. In its previous life, the house was located at the RAAF Base for defence housing. We relocated the house to its current location in 2014. It has the option of being run purely on solar power for a peaceful eco experience or generator power for fully air conditioned comfort. There is an extra charge of $50 per night for the use of the generator. The spring fed creek water is treated and safe to drink however we recommend that you bring your own drinking water. The house is situated to make the most of the dry season and wet season breezes and night time temperatures are noticeably cooler and drier than Darwin. During the warmth of the day, we recommend making the most of the pristine swimming holes only minutes from your door.
Despite the bush surroundings, we do have neighbours. Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
  • Great place to stay in a lovely location. Will certainly be back!

    Kaylene2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Tim’s! Recommend getting to the swimming places early to avoid the day trip coaches. Tolmer Falls is a great place to watch the sunset!

    Rachel2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous base for exploring Litchfield. Feels very far from everything yet is close to all the best bits of Litchfield. Tim’s house is fairly basic, but has everything you need - perfect for watching the sun set over cheese and wine after a day of walking and swimming in waterfalls. Delightful!

    Juz2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Unreal location and generous host, couldn't get a better spot in Litchfield. Highly recommended.

    Isaak2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Tim's place is a great base for exploring Litchfield National Park and a comfortable stay. He gives great suggestions about nearby attractions and also really helpful instructions on finding the house as we were driving at night. Tim was also very responsive to any questions I had. Would recommend staying here!

    Monica2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • If visiting Litchfield and don't want to/cannot camp, this is the place to stay. The house has everything you'll need - even for staying long-term: reliable water supply (water tastes great!) and runs on solar energy that has never let us down. It feels like being in a very remote location (in a good way), yet so close to all the highlights of the National Park (Walker creek is our favorite). Great communication with Tim, who shared some superb suggestions for day trips with us - thanks much! If you'd like to spend multiple days in Litchfield NP (which I highly recommend), go for Tim's place. Night sky with milky way will be all yours...

    David2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place in an amazing location. We loved hanging out on the deck as the sun went down. So great to be so close to the best swimming holes. Thanks for having us! We'll be back!

  • This place was great to stay in while visiting Litchfield. It’s so close to the park. The house is great with lots of fans and air cons for the hot weather. The yard is big as well. Highly recommend staying here while visiting Litchfield.

  • Handy spot to head into Litchfield National Park from. Place was very clean.

    Lucas2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is good. House is clean and tidy. Enough space for 10 people. The only problem we had is there only one toilet and one shower room so we had to wait for the toilet. No WiFi in the house as well. Only works on Telstra

  • Margy’s place is an absolute gem to find in Batchelor. The house was spotless, has everything you need to make meals, and relax inside or out. Great to be in walking distance to grocery, pub, museum, swimming pool and bowls club. Highly recommend.

Stay at The Rozak House, one of Australia's most famous pieces of tropical architecture. Intelligently designed to communicate with the striking surroundings of Top End Australia. It's a large tropical house that sleeps up to 6 people in two wings, with a central living pavilion & kitchen. It's 100% off-grid for sustainable living; there is no air-conditioning, but perched on a private hill the house catches all breezes. The Rozak House is one of a kind - come, stay & experience.
The elevated house is divided into three separate sections, the main living area with kitchen, dining room, and living room, and two bedroom wings, each of which has a bathroom and a full bath. There are three queen sized bed, and multiple hammocks - a deliberate part of the design, as they are the coolest and most comfortable way to sleep in the tropical conditions. The western wing also has a large desk and study area - perfect for writing. Each section of the house is only one room deep so as to maximise breezes and provide a view from every room. It feels larger than it actually is - while only 200 square meters, it's 30 meters from end to end. The wings of the houses are connected by outside, undercover walkways. Please note there are steps unsuitable for wheelchairs, people with mobility issues or very young children. The house breathes through slatted floors and two thirds of the walls that are made of secure screens. Large reflective roof sections overhang, blocking sun and capturing precious rain in the wet season. Water conservation is critical during the dry season. The building can be experienced through the progression of the day. The sun wakes up and bathes the eastern sleeping wing in red morning light. Then as the day moves on, the central living pavilion captures the midday sun, powering the solar panel clad roof and storing energy for the whole house. The western sleeping wing is warmer in the afternoon but protects the rest of the house from afternoon rays. In accordance with the philosophy of Troppo Architects - “a shelter to be able to better interact with our surroundings” - The Rozak House is perfect for people who want to experience nature and the true ecology of the Northern Territory - animal lovers, architecture buffs, or people who are looking for a getaway embedded in a unique experience of sustainable living. The motto of the Rozak House is to 'Live Open'. We believe this is a rare opportunity to really live in the magnificent Northern Territory landscape and we strive to make your stay comfortable, memorable and exceptional. FAQ - This is a non-traditional building and at least two thirds of the outside walls are secure screens. - Heavy winds and rain can penetrate the south-facing screens during the wet season. - There is no air-conditioning, but there are fans and a pleasant breeze coming up the ridge. - You have the whole property to yourself, but it is not completely isolated.
While sitting privately on top of a hill, The Rozak House, is not completely isolated. Lake Bennett is a small community, 80KM south of Darwin. Darwin has all amenities and before you leave town, it’s recommended that you prepare with your supplies. There are no shops at Lake Bennett, however the local Resort does have a restaurant and bar. You are close to Litchfield National Park and there are a wealth of natural features and experiences to enjoy. It is easy to do daytrips to Litchfield from the house. 30 minutes south of Lake Bennett is Adelaide River which has a general store, fuel stations, and the Adelaide River Inn (Pub). The town of Batchelor is also under half an hour away at the entrance Litchfield National Park. There are a few food options at Batchelor which we will detail in the compendium for the property.

  • We loved Deborah’s place! Wonderfully appointed, every last detail thought out and wonderful private and public spaces inside and outside (wonderful balconies for breakfast, evening cocktails, bird viewing and dining!), easy to walk to everything in Batchelor and easy to get to and from Litchfield for exploration and plunge pools. We highly recommend her place whether it’s on your own, with your family or with friends. A great home base!

    Nance2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you want a bird show, this is the place! Great variety and numbers of daily feathered visitors. The house is amazingly well appointed and spacious with a number of indoor and outdoor areas to socialise. Lots of material about the local area for reference. Definitely recommend this oasis.

    Marieke2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice location and good standard of accommodation appropriately describe. Deborah provide lots of support with quick responses with helpful advice. Great location from which to explore the Top End of the Northern Territory and create life long memories.

  • Everyone in the group enjoyed their stay at Deborah’s place. It’s a great spot to relax, read and think, and also a short drive to some spectacular swimming spots in Litchfield. Deborah accommodated a fairly short-notice adjustment to the original booking, and that was very much appreciated. Thanks Deborah!

    Emma2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Top place to use as a base to go to Litchfield National Park. Very clean and inviting. Thank you Deborah we really enjoyed our stay.

    Jenny2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!

    Dave2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Deborah's house. It's a beautiful house and garden. Very accurately described in the listing. The house has air conditioning in every room but we found we didn't need it too much (in July). The fans and louvered windows create a nice breeze in the afternoons. Batchelor is right next to Litchfield National Park. Don't miss a swim at Wangi Falls, it is so beautiful. However, Batchelor is also a tiny tiny place, the General Store doesn't have a huge range. So if you are planning on self-catering, then it would be best to stock up in Darwin or Katherine before your trip. There are a couple of places to eat out in town - the quirky Butterfly Farm is definitely worth a look and the food is good.

There are life jackets provided & a water filter jug in the fridge so all you need to bring is your food & drinks & please keep in mind where there is water there will be mosquitos & bugs as such we recommend you bring personal insect repellent as well. Linens & bath towels are provided but we suggest bringing your own beach towels. Guests are required to clean up after themselves & leave the bungalow as they found it. Please wash & put away your dishes & please strip the beds of all dirty linens & leave them on the floor in the master bedroom. Our property is a home away from home it is not a big 5 star all inclusive resort & we are not trying to be :) it is aimed at the people who want to escape all the technology & mod cons & get back to basics for a few days & just simply RELAX. We hope you enjoy your stay :)
Lake Bennett is 20mins from Batchelor & we highly recommend The Rum Jungle Tavern for a quiet drink or an awesome meal. Litchfield National park is also a great day trip away.

  • Hideaway was just what we were wanting. A beautiful place to stay, perfectly located close to some of Litchfield's best spots (although Rog tipped us off on the best places to get away from the crowds) and a cool and comfortable place to shelter from the heat of the Build-up. We were sad to leave.

Welcome to the Banyan Tree Resort. We are a laid back couple who love the Northern Territory with it's diversity, openes and travellers from all over the world. If you would like to have a one of a kind litchfield experience you came to the right place. Our beautiful property is only 10 min away from the well known Litchfield Park with his breathtaking waterfalls. Florence Falls, Burely Rockholes, Wangi Falls and much more to see and explore. Come and stay!
  • We only stayed there for two nights and it was the perfect starting point to discover Litchfield. We had the pleasure to sing / to listen to live music and also to join in a dance together with workers and other guests in the evenings when we asked about typical Australian dance. It feld good to be among such lovely people. Everyone was also very helpful when one girl of our group hurt herself. If we had the choice we would stay there again! :) Thaaaaanks!!!!
