  • We had a FABULOUS stay at this quaint and clean place! We purchased tickets to a show at the Allegan County Fairgrounds and this was a perfect location for our weekend stay. The price was exactly right and the back and forth communication was excellent. Both of our hosts have us great recommendations regarding event details and parking. We will definitely stay here again when staying in this part of Michigan!

  • Such a cute place! The prior communication was fast and thorough as well as all the communication during. The apartment itself is very charming. There's ample street parking. The neighborhood is delightful to walk though. The downtown area is about a 5 minute walk away. Great spot!

Brand new construction 2018. Open concept, community kitchen and living room with just me (if I'm home). Each bedroom has it's own TV as well. Great neighborhood. We can be social or private and I rarely have company. Private bedroom and full bathroom. Gas log fireplace, in floor radiant heat, central air. All kitchen amenities included
Great open concept in a nice neighborhood on a semi wooded lot.
Lots of first and second home buyers, newlyweds and couples from 25-45. A few kids riding bikes etc. And walking dogs. You can feel right at home taking a walk in the neighborhood!
  • Jason's place was amazing. From framed messages answering questions you may have to a couple mints on the bathroom towels. He has a beautiful home that is inviting and super clean. Absolutely recommend.

  • Jason's place is clean and beautiful. He is a great communicator and host. Highly recommended!

  • Stylish space. Close to Gun Lake Casino.

    Eric2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • It’s comforting to know that even when a guest is comin’ in hot and about to collapse from exhaustion that all the amenities needed to take of care of oneself and get a good night’s rest before hitting the road bright and early are but merely at one’s fingertips.

    Kristina2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t Procrastinate, Y’all! Be swift and quick when considering booking Jason’s Airbnb! Take it from someone who has had this Airbnb stay unexpectedly sniped out from under her twice recently: be absolutely certain to book Jason’s place as far in advance as you are able, and do so with cheetah-like speed. If you hesitate you will be cursing yourself later as you spend countless hours of self-inflicted punishment in airbnb posting purgatory, desperately scrounging and searching to find an equivalent stay that is as amazingly comfortable, clean and uncluttered, super-affordable, with a host whose hospitality is unparalleled! Forewarned is fair-warned: the battle between guests attempting to score this stay is real! 🤣😂.

    Kristina2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jason is a very respectful and kind host! I enjoyed the experience

    Kandace2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • It is impossible for me recommend any more highly Jason as a host, or his home as an airbnb guest residence. A natural servant leader, Jason’s inherent passion to serve and care for others through keen observation, analysis, perception, and intuition allows him to stand out among airbnb hosts time and time again. With an unparalleled hospitality prowess and consistent intention of perfection, it is clearly evident that Jason takes great pride in offering guests an extremely clean and comfortable home-away-from-home experience at a more-than-affordable price. Without question, Jason strives to make every guest’s experience as comfortable and enjoyable as reasonably possible...and sometimes even as comfortable and enjoyable as un-reasonably possible :) As I am a frequent guest at Jason’s, his steel trap-like mind has complied a list of my personal preferences. Upon every single one of my arrivals, I am pleasantly surprised to find that Jason has preemptively made adjustments to the standard hospitality set up in order to accommodate my specific personal preferences and needs. And without fail, this starts my stay off with a giant grin on my face as I walk through the door. The thermostat will have already been adjusted to the temperature that works best for me. The guest room bed will have been made-up in my favorite sheets and comforter. A bath mat will have been set out for me. And sometimes, if I’m super lucky, an extra Andes mint, my favorites, will be set out for me upon check-in! All of these simple and small, but sincerely appreciated gestures bring me back to Jason’s pretty much every time I’m in need of a place to stay. Between Jason’s commitment to providing the best stay possible for all of his guests, and his positive, cheerful, and caring personality, I find that I always walk through the door feeling as if I am just as welcome in Jason’s home as if I did actually live there :) PS - For a very detailed review on the layout, furnishings, amenities, and locale of Jason’s home, please see my July 2019 review from my very first stay :)

Our home is set back in the woods, but conveniently located only 10 minutes from downtown Kalamazoo which has just about anything you’ll need. You'll find your space to be clean, quiet, and comfortable. Your stay includes a large bedroom, private bathroom, and a lounge area to yourself. You will have access to our kitchen and coffee bar, although we will be using this area as well. Our Mini Golden Doodle may come visit occasionally to show off his toys, but typically he stays close to moms.
Private finished basement with a bedroom, full bathroom, and living/lounging area with Firestick TV and WiFi. Shared spaces include kitchen, dining area, and laundry. Guests will need to provide their own food, but may use all dishes and appliances in the kitchen. Laundry access may be permitted to long term guests.
We live in northern Kalamazoo on 3.4 acres which consists mostly of woods. Our house is a newly remodeled modular home. It is only a 5 minute (or less) drive to US-131; head south for a short 10 minute drive and you'll find just about anything you'll need in Kalamazoo. If you head north on US-131, you will find the quaint towns of Plainwell and Otsego, or keep driving for 30 more minutes and you'll end up in the heart and soul of Grand Rapids! We would be happy to share our favorite places to eat and shop upon request.
  • Clean, modern, convenient place, quiet, and great hosts. Easy access to downtown Kalamazoo. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Crossroads Inn (our home away from home) is near downtown Allegan Michigan. This wonderfully well-kept home built in the 1920s is at the cross roads of M-89, M-40 and M-222. It is within walking distance of downtown or just minutes from any business in Allegan. Thirty minutes to South Haven (West) and Kalamazoo (East). Walking distance to the Allegan County fairgrounds. If you need a central location for work in Western Michigan or a weekend getaway, the Crossroads Inn is your place to stay.
You will have the use of a single car garage with automatic opener. WIFI included. Full operating kitchen, one master bedroom-bath, dining room and living room with comfy couches and TV. Modern amenities for your convenience. Full laundry is through a pass through door to hallway. Currently the second floor is vacant and is separated from the downstairs. It will be utilized for additional guests at a later date once remodeled. • You must be able to navigate steps since the first floor has them both at the porch and going into the garage from the mud room. • We ask guests to please remove their shoes at the door because of the wood floors and salty shoes in the winter. There will be a boot tray for your use at both the entry and mud room doors.
Walk-able to downtown and fairgrounds. Great weather year round if you dress for the Michigan winter. :-)
  • This space is better than in the pictures, it is so cozy and welcoming. The amenities, from the gas fireplace in the dining room to the cozy throws for the enveloping couches to the quick and thoughtful responses from the host, make this place a wonderful destination. If I could give it a higher ranking, I would!

    Barbara2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such an adorable and cozy home! The house was perfectly clean and it was a perfect space for a weekend getaway. Roger responds very quickly and is so helpful. My boyfriend and I thought we locked ourselves out one night and he sent someone within minutes to check on us and make sure we got in. There is a large smart TV in the living room so we could log into our Netlfix and Hulu accounts to watch TV and there is a Keurig machine in the kitchen stocked with K-cups. The bathroom was also stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, cotton swabs, etc. Everything was great overall and the place is so homey! I highly recommend this Airbnb and will look at booking again if we are staying in the area in the future!

Nervous about traveling this season? Stay safely secluded away from other people here on Redbud Farm. The Granary, a beautiful, original building from the early 1900's refinished into a cozy guest cottage. Enjoy the gardens, and lounge around on the lovely 2 acre property. Hike down the 2-track and visit Miller Creek. A 25 minute drive takes you to Saugatuck, Fennville or Holland to enjoy all the tourism West MI has to offer. There's lots to see do without worry of over crowded areas! :-)
Looking forward to welcoming guests old and new in 2020. The Tulips and daffodils will be blooming soon! Don't let the fear of flu keep you down all summer. I'll be taking extra steps in fully sanitizing the space between each guest and plenty of soap, sanitizer, and lysol wipes will be provided. The Granary is your cozy and relaxing home away from home. You won't need to worry about crowds. Enjoy relaxing in a chair while smelling the flowers, stroll through the gardens, lounge in the hammock, swim in the pool, or even feed the chickens. If you're looking for more nature, you may walk the 2-track through the fields to find Miller Creek and the Rabbit River to the North of the Farm. Please respect the farmer's crops as well as the forest and leave no trace :-) If you like to golf, Diamond Springs golf course is just 2 miles away. I hear it is a great course with 18 holes. There are excellent restaurants and breweries within a 25 minute scenic drive. We're centrally located between scenic Saugatuck and Grand Rapids- Beer City USA. You'll find a list of restaurants and breweries in The Granary and I'm happy to answer any questions and give tips on local tourism. Staying away from restaurants? Pack a picnic or grab some take away and enjoy in privacy back on the farm.
There is nothing like life in the country. It is peaceful and beautiful. I love the green, the flowers, and that a traffic jam is a few cars stuck behind a tractor! The locals keep to themselves, although I have great relationships with my 2 closest neighbors. They would be happy to help in case of emergency. The neighborhood is very safe, I've never had or heard of a home or car break in during the 10 years I've lived in Diamond Springs. Burnips (north east ) or Hamilton(west) are the closest towns for a bite to eat, about an 8 minute drive. Both offer good diners for breakfast. If you don't mind sort of greasy all American menus they are fine for lunch or dinner as well, Burnips offers a restaurant/bar. There are two golf courses, Diamond Springs golf course is 2 miles and Lake Monterey golf course is 4 miles. There's the most AMAZING ice cream shop- Fantasy Twirl, just 5 minutes north- huge portions, low prices, and excellent ice cream quality! Horseback riding and wagon/buggy rides 5 minutes south at Wild West Ranch. Fawn Meadow Vineyards just a couple miles down my street (this is seasonal and they are not yet making wine). ..you pick grapes, and grape juice...a fun family stop. That's pretty much it for my neighborhood. Keep in mind that out in the country we measure our blocks in miles, so this is all within a two to eight mile radius from the farm. :-)
  • Emily's property is amazing. She has a TON of space to have a wedding, party, or otherwise have a great time. We stayed in the small granary room which had a bed, water, tea/coffee, and the compost toilet. Emily is an awesome host. She was extremely friendly when we got to spend some time with her. She has 3 or 4 "barn cats" who roam the property and they were precious. They welcomed us into the property and showed us to our room :P The house is a bit removed from the cities nearby but honestly it wasn't too bad. Holland is 25 minutes away (fantastic recommendations from Emily) and Grand rapids is 30-40 minutes. Either way, you'll enjoy the stay if you like staying in a quiet, beautiful location. If and when we make the 12 hour drive out to Michigan again, we'll be thinking of Emily's place first and foremost.

    Kyle2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Emily’s place was purrfect for unplugging and taking in the farm. The resident barn cats were super friendly and always around to greet us. We will be staying again fur sure.

    Sean2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wanna Get Away? Skip Southwest and head to The Granary at Redbud Farm. Emily is your Superhost with the super most. And she is assisted by a team of the friendliest felines you will ever find. The grounds are gorgeous, the sleeping arrangements quaint, the location ideal for those day-trips to Douglas / Saugatuck / Fennville. Do yourself a favor and look no further. You’ve found the one. Book it.

  • If you're looking for the most unique Airbnb around, you've come to the right place! What an awesome little place to stay! Great value, too! The bed was very comfortable! Coffee in the morning was a perfect way to finish our stay. Emily was friendly and informative. Highly recommended!

  • My friends and I needed lodging for our ski trip weekend at Bittersweet, and we were so thankful to have found this gem of a space. Upon our late arrival, Keith met us outside with a smile and helped in getting us parked and settled in. We were impressed with the quaint and clean space and beautiful grounds so close to the lake. We couldn't resist the firepit even in the dead of winter. This would be an amazing summer getaway for couples, families with children, or a group of friends. Highly recommend!

  • We needed a place to stay with our 2 teenage boys and one pre-teen girl. Our oldest son lives in Allegan, so when we found something other than a hotel room, we were thrilled. This place was exactly as described and more. The owners left the lights and heat on, ready for our late night arrival. When we arrived, the place was exceptionally clean, well stocked with anything we may need (even some basic food items), and freshly baked cookies. The cabin is right on a lake. If we come back during the summer, we will definitely choose this place again.

    Jodi2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was absolutely amazing! It had everything my girlfriends and i needed for our quick getaway. Definitely coming back!

    Carmen2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I was alone on this trip, but this cabin is so adorable that I hope to return with my family in the future! The cabin is set up for children with toys and games and other family-friendly amenities. It was well stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, etc. for a large group. The hosts were very responsive, I had a minor issue with a door not closing properly and they came to fix it right away.

    Michael2020-01-04T00:00:00Z

Great little spot for a family get away or for some friends to spend some time away. It's small but has all of the amenities you would need, including a washer/dryer. We had a great time staying here!

The perfect winter getaway. Unplug and unwind in one of our cozy waterfront cottages. Built in 2017 these cottages have the charm of a tiny house and quiet setting of the perfect retreat. Situated on 90 acres of deciduous forests, grassy sites and hiking trails, TriPonds Resort has multiple cottages that are available for use through the winter months. We live on site and love to share the beauty of the outdoors with our guests. (Remember to stay off frozen ponds as ice may be thin).

  • Angela’s place was spectacular. Extra clean and so cute. Great communication with check in information and quick answers to questions. Love this place. Will definitely be back.

  • The stay was absolutely lovely. We had to extend the stay, coz it wasn’t enough for just two nights. That says a lot. The location is stunning and the hospitality is commendable. One of the best weekends.....

Designed with relaxation in mind, our studio guest suite is set on 3 acres in the countryside of Hamilton. The space has a full kitchen, bathroom, living room with TV and a queen size bed with a premium memory foam topper. An outdoor gazebo by our private pond is perfect for morning coffee or watching a beautiful sunset. You can even try to catch some fish :) Holland, Saugatuck, Fennville & Allegan are all under 15 miles away with wineries, arts, dining, shopping, antiques, and Tulip Time.
With a private keyed entry, our walk out basement studio has a comfy queen bed, kitchen with the necessities for cooking, a bathroom with a shower, dinette set for an optional work space, and a living room with a 32" TV and DVD player (no internet here). Guests are free to access the large yard, fire pit, gazebo, grill and paddle boat. (Because of the pond, we ask that you sign a short waver upon arrival) Access is through a garage door and down 12 steps to a keyed slider door.
Hamilton is a small farming community that has restaurants, gas stations, a grocery store and we have a fantastic thrift shop that we recommend. Our home sits at the top of a hill and is truly a park like setting with lots of perennial flower landscaping. Watch for birds, squirrels, deer, and fox.
  • Faye was thoughtful about every detail and we instantly felt at home in the basement apartment. It was such an enjoyable stay!

    Michael2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • At dusk, we clearly saw the upside-down reflection of a deer walking along the backyard pond. In the morning, snow blanketed the harvested fields. Inside, we were cozy by the fireplace and enjoyed our comfortable surroundings complete with fresh flowers just for us. The great breakfast fixings were more than adequate. And the special anniversary treats from Faye were very thoughtful! 100% excellent place to stay!

    Don2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Faye & Les are amazing hosts. We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet setting, the extra touches including snacks and fresh flowers. The pond on their property is beautiful and we enjoyed going out on the paddle boat for a ride. The bed was comfy, and the breakfast food left for us was perfect. Its a great location close to Holland and Saugatuck. Thanks so much Faye & Les, we would definitely enjoy staying again sometime.

    Sheryl2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Faye place is a rare fine. Very private and super clean. There were so many thoughtful touchs. Fresh flowers, games, movies plenty of towels boxes of Kleenex. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows. She had plenty of snacks and breakfast foods. I would highly recommend a stay. Close to saugatuck and Holland

    Debbie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home. Great hard. Firepit, the pond , the outdoor swing. Everything of the property was peaceful. There were added home touches to the house that made it more beautiful.

    Virginia2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing, much better than a hotel! Beautiful view overlooking the pond, and very spacious for it being a studio. Faye is an amazing host. We’d leave 6 stars if we could.

    Chip2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This visit was a gift for my in-laws. They had a wonderful time and really enjoyed their stay.

    Bob2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was outstanding for so many reasons! There was quick communication before the trip began and we were greeted by Faye and Les when we arrived. The space was a private unit on the bottom floor of the house complete with a private entrance, kitchen, bathroom and a patio. The property was gorgeous, too bad the weather didn't cooperate for us to take advantage of it! You could tell that Faye and Les put a lot of care into this Airbnb. There were homey decorations, fresh breakfast items, and an in-case you forgot kit in the bathroom. We would love to come back when the weather is warmer! Overall an A+ Airbnb for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat or looking to stay close to Holland.

  • My husband and I were here photographing a wedding and this directly in the middle of the venue and the reception. This town doesn’t really have a hotel and I’m so glad it doesn’t otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed at this amazing spacious and stylish apartment! Everything is within walking distance, we really didn’t need our car once we get here. There is a cute coffee shop we got breakfast, and the brewery had amazing food. Saturday was a long night for us after working a full day, best part was how comfortable the beds were!! And the sheets smelt amazing! The apartment in general just smelt amazing.

Great location less than a mile from downtown Holland, this is split level home and the entire upstairs is yours to enjoy! There are two spacious bedrooms, a living area, kitchen, and full bathroom exclusively for your private use. Great access to the restaurants, bars, and shops on 8th St in downtown Holland as well as Hope College, the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan, and everything else the area has to offer.
Eclectic, clean, cozy, and neat with mid-century modern accents. For the summer months, there are two A/C units (one in the living area and one in a bedroom). The kitchen is small but sufficient to prepare meals if that is your desire. The space, like the hosts, are welcoming and down to earth.
Friendly, working class, safe, close to downtown
  • An amazing deal for the great location and cute space! Super clean and well decorated!

  • A great space-comfortable beds, kitchen stocked with yummy tea and coffee. We did not cook but the kitchen appeared to be ready for cooking some simple meals. We offer a basement suite, located in a quiet neighborhood. Our goal is to provide a comfortable,“Dutch clean”, friendly accommodation, at a very reasonable price. This is a great place to stay while visiting family or friends, exploring the wonders of West Michigan, or while on a business trip. We are conveniently located about 2 miles from Hope College and historic downtown Holland which offers a great assortment of shops, restaurants, breweries, galleries, and a farmers market to experience.
Our basement suite consists of a BR with a queen bed, a private bath, and a LR that has a kitchenette at one end. The LR has a sofa and 2 chairs plus a small table and chairs for eating. We can accommodate 2 extra persons by setting up a Frontgate inflatable queen size air bed in the basement LR. An additional person is welcome to make a bed on the couch. We are licensed in the city of Holland as a short term public lodging facility, certificate #CSTR18104.
This is a classic all-American neighborhood in a heavily wooded section of town. We live on a cul-de-sac with lots of kids playing on the streets in nice weather. If you're here more than a day you'll likely meet some of our good neighbors.
  • Exactly as advertised -- Kathy and Jim love hosting people and are welcoming, friendly, and interested in getting to know their guests. The place was clean and tidy. The breakfast snacks were an added bonus. We appreciated the use of their iron and ironing board. Coming and going was easy, even when we were out late in the evening. Because it is a basement suite, there are definitely noises audible from upstairs. It didn't bother us, but if you are a visitor hoping to sleep in, it will help to be a sound sleeper! Very thoughtful hosts, would recommend.

    Hanna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

    Bridget2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed an impromptu trip and thoroughly enjoyed the ice flows in the channel and the sunset!

    Kimberly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • There place is immaculately clean. It is close and convenient to downtown Holland and only 15 minutes away from West Olive or Saugatuck. Kathy and her family are very friendly and welcoming. They invite you into their lovely house and you stay in their Lower level/finished basement. Doesn’t feel like a basement, it has a private bedroom, bathroom/shower, couch, mini fridge, table, and tv. She generously leaves light breakfast stuff, bottled water, and cookies for her guests. Her family do stay there while you are there so it’s not a 100% private place, but it didn’t bother us because we mainly were there just to sleep. They keep to themselves, but if you want to talk and share stories, they will invite you upstairs to get to know each other. We will definitely be back for our next visit! Lovely awesome place!

  • If you want a beautiful, quiet, light-filled, spacious place to stay near Kalamazoo, I highly recommend Brad's place. GPS took me right to the lovely, winding, wooded driveway, which gives you pause and anticipation. The check-in is easy. The house was spotless and open. I found it hard to choose which of the three bedroom to use. Enjoyed looking out at the woods and walking about among the trees, which aren't that extensive, but the placement of the house makes you feel like you are truly "out there". Saw deer and wild turkey strolling by each morning. And as Brittany says, "There are snacks". Wi-fi worked fine. Easy, short, scenic drive to Kalamazoo. Can't wait to see this place in the other seasons. Highly recommend

    Juanita2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend! This home is perfect, especially if you’re skiing at Bittersweet like we did. It was very close, and the accommodations were great! The hosts were very gracious and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Isaac2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Brad’s home. The home is tucked back on a narrow drive. So if you love quiet and secluded space, you’ll love this home! They even left some drinks and snacks for us. We booked this for a trip to bittersweet ski resort and it fit the 5 of us perfectly (even all 3 of the vehicles!). Highly recommend!

    Zachary2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for friends or families to relax in the woods! We came for a work retreat and hit the slopes 10 min down the road at Bittersweet Ski Resort. Went to Kalamazoo for dinner (20 min drive) and Judy's for breakfast. Great time! and a lovely, clean space.

    Chris2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! The kids had fun exploring the woods, the extra touches like the snacks were great, and the location was tucked away and quiet, but super convenient for skiing and tubing. The kitchen was laid out nicely for dinner prep at night, and everyone had a comfortable place to relax and sleep.

    Kristin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed at Brad's place for a quick weekend. The house was clean upon arrival, check-in was easy and communication between Brad was always prompt. The home was as described, roomy and welcoming. Certainly a home I would stay again.

Large charming space available. Includes private bedroom with queen bed. The house is located in a nice quiet area a short drive to downtown Kalamazoo.
Please note bathroom may be shared if there is another guest staying in the other room.
  • This was a very convenient and easy stay - Michael was quick to respond, it was easy for me to come and go, and the location is convenient to be near anything in Kalamazoo. The room is as posted - it is a basement room and you may need to share a bathroom, but the room was clean and warm (I stayed overnight in January), and there is a nice large lounge space although I did not need to use it. I would definitely suggest this as a good option if you need a place to stay in Kalamazoo for a good price!

    Dana2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great value!

    Devin2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Michaels home was very clean. This room is in the basement. He was home while we had our one night stay but we didn’t see him. He has multiple cats and a dog. The cats are super friendly and sweet, never saw the dog. If you’re looking for an affordable, safe place to stay in Kalamazoo, this is the place for you. We were only here to sleep and his house was minutes from Western, perfect for our trip. Check in and out was super simple.

    Katrina2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s home is beautiful and reminds me of my own home. Easy check in and out. Had a one day stay so theres not much to say. Room was warm and kept at a good temperature even while it was snowing cold outside. Definitely a place I would stay at again if I ever visit michigan in the future.

    Angelo2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • This will definitely meet your expectations if you're just looking for a place to sleep. The room has a lounge area right off the bathroom if you dont want to be in your room and need to do some work or just relax. I was in town only for one night and it was definitely cheaper than getting a hotel room. Everything was exactly as the host described. Would reccomend this for anyone in town looking for a place to crash for a night or 2.

A working farm that has been in our family for 114 years located on the southern half of Mud Lake. Please be aware that this is a farm, and we do have a well for our drinking water. It will not smell like chlorine (like municipal water), but is tested regularly and is completely safe. We have a whole-house water softener, a filter on the shower, and reverse osmosis water in the kitchen. The Bird's Nest has 1 queen-sized bed and 1 full-sized futon. It can acommodate up to 4 guests. We've listed as not suitable for children under 12 (Airbnb's age window for this option) due to an open staircase in the listing (see photos for reference). Please let us know if you plan to bring younger children, and take whatever precautions you feel are necessary.
Hudsonville is located half-way between Holland and Grand Rapids.
  • I would highly recommend The Bird's Nest. The farm is quiet and relaxing. The space is quaint and sparkling clean. Kris and Steve were wonderful hosts. They provided fresh greens from their farm and handcrafted sodas; both were delicious! We loved the tour of the farm and the cordial tasting! We will definitely be back!

  • Perfect place to relax and unwind. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The tour of the farm is informative and fun. Kris & Steve are perfect hosts. The house is in the country but close to everything too. Highly recommend to stay at this Cozy Nest.

    Patti2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are ever able to visit this special piece of heaven please do! This is the best we have stayed in. So comfortable and plenty of space and very, very clean!!!!

    Julee2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect New Year's getaway for two. Kris and Steve were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond, and the cordial tasting and tour of their greenhouses was a real treat. The Bird's Nest itself was comfortable, pleasant, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful in winter. All in all, a great experience.

Relax and "unplug" in our freshly remodeled cottage nestled on a wooded hill overlooking our access to a 187 acre rural lake; a great "home base" while exploring SW Michigan (Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan). Numerous golf courses, wineries, breweries nearby, featuring plenty of seasonal family activities. Two ski resorts within 15 min--Timber Ridge (with tubing runs) and Bittersweet. Very close to two unique wedding venues: The Silo (6.3 mi) and Castle in the Country (2.4 mi).
Main floor features three bedrooms, bath, laundry, kitchen, and dining room with small sitting area. Basement has living/family room, and storage area for kayaks and life jackets. Dining room and front bedroom have sliding doors to the deck featuring a lake view. Deck is only accessed through the house, so you can securely open the slider and enjoy the breeze off the lake over night. Living/Family Room features a Smart TV and DVD player with selection of movies for all ages. Lots of games, books and activities are provided. Access to the lake across single lane private dirt road, and over small lake front lot. Guests may use the dock for putting in boats, and there are steps off dock to enter lake for swimming. A raft is located off shore for swimming. Pontoon is off limits to guests. NOTE: If you seek a sandy beach area right out the back door of the cottage, we can not offer that. Patio area, fire-pit with wood, and gas grill at the top of hill, just off the kitchen/laundry area of cottage. There is no "yard" or grassy area. Additional Family Amenities available: Booster seat with tray (not a high chair), Pack 'n Play with linens, safety gate for top of interior staircase. Additional child safety devices (gate on stairs, outlet covers, cabinet locks) will be installed only upon request. While we do not offer WiFi, we have found tower reception is actually very good (our carrier is Verizon). LOCATION NOTES: The cottage is in a rural setting with little light pollution; the stars, the lake, the woods are beautiful and serene. Closest town is five miles away with grocery, gas, entertainment, hiking/biking and dining options; and a rural convenience store is 1 - 1/2 miles away. We stock basic condiments, spices, etc. to help alleviate the need for driving to obtain forgotten items. Guests should expect to drive 20+ min to a major grocery chain and/or urban attractions or events. Cottage is very nearly center of Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Holland, St. Joseph and lake shore, so it offers a great "home base" for exploring Southwest Michigan. We respect the lake and our natural resources; therefore, we clean and stock with non-toxic products with a conscience. We encourage our guests to recycle, and offer receptacles for their convenience.
Quiet rural lakefront neighborhood with a mix of seasonal cottages and year-round residents.
  • Amazing place.Everything you need for a weekend gateway and a quiet place. Very clean and organized.

    Klimentina2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Penny's place is setup very comfortably. One can tell the host puts a lot of thought into making it nice for guests. It was a great base for outdoor activities, which for us was skiing.

    Christian2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautiful! The entire weekend our group commented about how many personal touches there were through-out the place. Such as convenience items, like the alarm clocks in the rooms with USB ports, items in the medicine cabinet that you might have forgotten, like cough drops and nail polish remover. It was really a lovely place to stay. It was just a 30 minute drive to South Haven, 30 minutes to Kalamazoo. So very conveniently located. Thanks so much Penny!

    Jennifer2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The fresh baked loaf of bread and personalized welcome sign was a nice touch! The shower was also amazing! A nice view and convenient location. Would love to see this cottage in the summer.

    Krissie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend stay. The cottage was very cozy, and the location is beautiful. Penny's extra touches such as fall decor, and cinnamon bread made us feel very welcome.

  • Cozy clean cottage! The hosts have put so many thoughtful touches in this wonderful retreat! Beautiful patio was perfect for a cozy evening fire and s'mores. There are so many activities that we didn't even miss the wifi :-) We will definently stay here in the future if we have the chance. I reccomend this place for family and kids.

  • Martin's place was just what my husband and I needed. If you love to camp but want to take a trip without all the packing and tent work then this place is great for you. The beds were clean, made nicely, and comfortable. There are pans and stuff there in the cabin to use. We literally only brought some clothes and a small cooler of food and drinks. We loved sitting by the fire all night in the woods. So peaceful. We found some cards and sat at the table outside to play. Loved reading the guestbook and seeing the map of where everyone was from. That and the family history behind the place is very cool to feel like your a part of just by being there. The cabin is not too far from South Haven or Allegan. We went into Allegan one night to see a movie and that was nice. So even if you get bored there is plenty of things that do within 20 minutes of this cabin. Very convenient. We will be back someday!

  • This little cabin is a peaceful getaway. I enjoyed waking up in the woods to the sound of birds chirping, star gazing at night, and lounging on the beach at lake Michigan. Martin was quick to respond to messages and easy to get ahold of, generous, and supplied us with the essentials.

  • This home is beautiful, and spacious! We really enjoyed the hot tub, extra large table, and open common space! It was difficult to find a place with enough queen- or king-sized beds, but this place had plenty! Phone service isn't great, but who needs that on vacation? :D Elizabeth responds very quickly and professionally.

    Rae2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth is a wonderful host, and Nichole the property manager is quick to answer any questions. The home was warm, inviting, clean and had everything we needed. We loved the hot tub and how it was right off the back porch. Also the open space of the home made it great for the family to have plenty of space and we loved the big table to eat at and to play games at!!!!

    Jennifer2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home is perfect for groups and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Great for group seating at a large table and on a large couch. Enjoyed the few games that were there for us to play and loved the hot tub.

    Lindy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This home was sparkling clean and everything was very comfortable - even the bunk beds pleasantly surprised me. It has a great homey feel. The hot tub was fully functional and a great amenity. It is located fairly close to Holland, South Haven, and Saugatuck but is remote and private. I would love to stay here again!

  • Elizabeth's place was just what we needed. A break away from the busy city life. The house was secluded and the backyard was AMAZING! with the change of colors right now.

    Alfredo2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a long weekend away and had a marvelous experience. The amenities are outstanding. The location is tucked away, there is plenty of space and lots of exploring to do in the area! We would definitely stay again!

    Ann2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great property. Everything was as described and we had plenty of space for our annual family vacation. The yard is beautiful. large, well planted, and was perfect for playing corn hole and sitting out by the fire in the evenings. There is a nice screened in porch on the back with an air hockey and foosball table where we spent a great deal of time as well. The kitchen is also very well stocked. We cooked a few meals during the week and always found what we needed. All in all a nice location. You can get to South Haven or Douglas in around 20 minutes. We spent some time up in Holland and that was only about 40 minutes away. My only advice is to pack plenty of bug repellant. The mosquitos are very aggressive in the yard and if you're normally a target you'll need to be diligent about applying it. Even folks in our group who don't normally get bites were using the spray by the end of the week.

  • I had the opportunity to stay two weeks at Teresa's place. I truly enjoyed my stay and everything was as advertised. The place was sparkling clean, the area was in close proximity to the main areas of Kalamazoo, and the place was comfortable and neat. The hosts were always willing to help out or give recommendations. I would highly recommend this airbnb for either a short/long time stay.

    Elias2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa and Steve were warm and welcoming, and they were great for conversation as we came in! Teresa even left out a french press so I could make decaf in the morning since I don't really do coffee anymore. The room itself was great. Very comfortable bed, great soaking tub. Highly recommend!!

From the award-winning downtown to the white sandy beaches, you'll fall in love with Holland's small-town charm and big-city amenities. Dine along the waterfront or at a local café. Hike to the top of a sand dune or climb to the top of a windmill! Shop for a paddleboard, or a pair of wooden shoes. Sail the waters of Lake Michigan or hike the trails in one of our wooded parks. Watch a brilliant sunset over Lake Michigan. And last but not least, Holland is also home to the world-famous Tulip Time Festival in May each year. No matter what your interests, you won't be disappointed!
  • We had a great overnight stay during Holland's Tulip Time Festival. The house is beautiful - it is historic with beautiful wood carving touches, yet it is also very updated and spacious. We were a group of 5 people (we asked ahead of time if 5 would be permitted) and the home definitely was spacious enough for all of us with three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, large kitchen, living room and dining room. It was a perfect location for the Tulip Time Run (one block away). It was also very close to downtown, however we did choose to drive down there (not sure how long a walk it would be). We really enjoyed our stay. One thing to note to the owner - please get a hairdryer for guests. It is such a simple and inexpensive item that would help guests a lot.

    Jessica2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Really amazing place to stay at. The renovations are amazing and the place is much larger than expected. Huge fully stocked kitchen, large dining area, and stylish living room. Washer and dryer is the icing on the cake!!

  • This home is well appointed and cozy. Everything we needed for our stay was there for us. We cooked several family meals and enjoyed ourselves at AC’s home. Plenty of towels and extra linens, smart tv w Netflix. Great place to stay in Holland.

  • AC's place was adorable! I loved staying there.

    Sam2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Wonderful house in a great area. Felt like you where at home. Easy deadbolt combo lock to enter and exit. Close to downtown and the water. WiFi was great through out the house. We had 3 people streaming at once with no problem. The only bad thing I can’t pick out of all the wonderful one would have to be the plumbing. Had to flush a few times on both toilets. It was giving us trouble all week. I would definitely come again. Thank you! Great house

    Jacob2018-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really charming, located near downtown Holland and an easy walk to Lake Macatawa and Boatwerks Restaurant. The home has many of the original 1901 woodworking touches, but with a brand new kitchen and 2 bathrooms with beautiful details. The beds were very comfortable and had plenty of linens. Due to the chilly weather, we weren't able to enjoy the cute patio and nice backyard. Super-clean, you will enjoy your stay at Ac's place!

  • This is the second time I've stayed at John's place - so that should give you an idea of what I think about it. He's a great host and the property is gorgeous. I could not recommend this experience more strongly.

    David2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • John was a wonderful host who made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in. The house and grounds were lovely and we were unexpectedly treated to home-made scones, coffee and engaging conversation. very good value for our money and we'd go back in a heartbeat!

    Rae2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • The amenities are comfortable, clean, and updated at John’s peaceful cabin. John was an excellent host, he made sure we had everything we needed and had lots of suggestions about the area. The fresh scones and apple cake were added bonuses! Would definitely stay again.

    Holly2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • John's place is just fantastic. Really. Flawless. I can't wait to return.

    Meighan2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a wonderful weekend getaway at John's gorgeous cabin. John welcomed us on Friday evening with a glass of wine and provided great suggestions for exploring the area. It was perfect for out weekend retreat into the Michigan woods. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Kristin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The home is beautiful, clean and in a peaceful setting. John was always accessible and prompt in communicating. My favorite part of the day was good coffee, great scones that were made from scratch and fresh baked, and the time spent visiting with John and Marvin. The location offers quiet in a country setting, but it's not far from Saugatuck. On my drives to town I spotted turkey and a pheasant. I hope to stay with John again in the future and would highly recommend his home to others.

    Diana2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • John's home is so beautiful, the space is very nice and modern set right in the woods, I loved it here and didn't want to leave. I would reccomend staying here a millions times.

    Zachary2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with very modern decor. If you’re okay sharing common areas I highly recommend John’s place. We will be back.

We stayed here with four adults, three kids and a baby and everyone was very comfortable. It’s clear that Paul and Linda take a lot of pride in their cottage. The place was clean, comfortable and well-stocked with cooking gear. We stayed here during the winter and it was nice and cozy, but are definitely interested in returning some time during the warmer months.
