Situated in the heart of the Highlands below our highest mountain Ben Nevis. Great location for exploring, cycling, walking, climbing, skiing and all outdoor activities. Rural location but with the town only 10 mins away by car.
  • A peaceful little spot. Clean, tidy, just what I was looking for, for a little break in Scotland

  • Superb cosy comfortable log cabin in a wonderful location, and Kenny was a really friendly and helpfull host. Would definately come back for another stay.

    Phil2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kenny’s place is a wonderful cabin for a family of 4. It has everything you need and is super comfortable. We also found the location to be absolutely perfect to explore the highlands. Every morning we went for hikes right around the cabin, took day trips out from fort William and did the gondolas on Ben Nevis which was covered in thick snow. And we discovered the leisure club at the Ben Nevis hotel which was great for a swim and hot tub. Kenny’s cabin comes highly recommended!

  • Can’t rate Kenny or his cabin highly enough. As other reviewers have said, the pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is massive, toasty warm and has everything you need. The location is fabulous and Kenny is friendly, helpful and knowledgable.

    Rachel2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal location with enough privacy and a hands on host at ypur door step if you need him. Cabin is bigger than in looks in photos and lovely and warm.

    Stacey2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Worth the travel no matter where you are in the UK. You're left in the middle of beautiful scenery and are free to come and go as you please. Kenny is extremely knowledgeable, approachable and flexible who was extremely welcome, I couldn't ask for a better host!

Our fabulous Glamping pods offer en suite facilities and the most amazing views of Loch Linnhe and the surrounding mountains. Each pod sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. We supply a Duvet, Pillows and Towels. Pods are warm and cozy. You may take the Corran Ferry to get to Ardgour, however there is a road around the loch Via Fort William, We are not an Island. The ferry saves 1hr drive around the loch.
These lovely pods are fully insulated so very cosy. All are ensutie WC and shower with tea making facilities. A fridge, microwave and small heater is provided. We are cited on croftland and parking is available at the village shop next door. We accept well-behaved dogs in our space.
The area is outstandingly beautiful. Mountains, lochs, wildlife include seals, pine martins, otters, grey geese and eagles, and much more. There are opportunities to fish, walk, climb, or just relax.
  • Good reception, improved campsite in a magnificent setting

  • Amazing!

    Franziska2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is brilliant. Fancy camping, with a loo and a shower in a super cosy cabin, amidst astonishing scenery. The cabin had everything we could have needed (and more - the fridge and the microwave were very handy!) and was a real gem of a find. Don't miss taking a wee walk to the local pub where the food looked excellent (although, we only eyed it and tried the wine - also excellent) and exploring the scenery. This place makes a fantastic base if you're walking or travelling nearby, and the hosts are so accommodating, welcoming and kind. We'll remember this trip fondly!

    Jennifer2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great comfy space and easy to find almost immediately off the Corran ferry. Amazing views with benches and grilles set up outside. The pod itself was very warm even in single degree weather.

    Kenny2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with the location of the Pod, everything was perfect, and we can’t wait to go back. Stunning views, lovely welcome from the hosts, friendly animals and a beautiful spotless pod. I did not expect a microwave and fridge so this was a real bonus. Lovely and cosy in autumn temperatures, and so peaceful. A hot shower and soap provided in the bathroom. A dimmer switch to create a cosy atmosphere, and comfy beds. Everything was just perfect. A big thank you to John and Reece for accepting us as guests. If you’ve never stayed in a Pod before, go for it, it’s a fabulous experience.

Nestled in the forest, lochs and mountains we have our spacious and eco friendly Signal Rock Cottage. With bird songs being the score for your ears and nature being the canvas for the eyes, underfloor heating for your feet we love to be able to offer this as your special holiday spot. Fun film fact: Warner Brothers used the Torren Lochen in the Harry Potter film The Prisoner of Azkaban. All the scenes with Hagrids Hut were filmed here. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night subject to T+Cs.
Signal Rock Cottage was built in 2008 as an Eco House utilising a local biomass boiler and underfloor heating to make a cozy yet contemporary space. The setting within the forest makes for a true get a way feel with wildlife spotting opportunities in abundance from the window. The cottage consists of 2 double en-suit rooms which can have beds made up as either doubles or twins. The shared living area opens out with patio doors into the forest and the fully equipped kitchen makes it a perfect spot if you fancy dining in for the evening. You may find that there is someone staying in the other bedroom with whom you will be sharing the living space & kitchen. Unusually for a B&B we have a kitchen for the exclusive use of our guests. We also allow access to the cottage at all times of day so you can come and go as you like. Washing machine and drying facilities are also available to our guests on request. There is cosy underfloor heating fuelled by a wood fuelled boiler feed with wood chips locally sourced. All the water in the taps comes direct from our own spring and is filtered and passed through an Ultraviolet light to ensure purity. No Chlorine is added. We are proud of our Green credentials and have won many awards for our Environmental management. We have Wifi but the Highlands of Scotland are, according to a National newspaper, the most poorly served in the whole of Britain as far as Broadband is concerned. Service is reasonable in our area most of the time but the signal can drop from time to time, this is generally the time I take it as a sign to go outside (or look out the window if its pouring and stormy). We only accept bookings at the week-ends for a minimum of 2 nights. So Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday nights are all available to be reserved on a one night basis. Only Friday and Saturday nights have to be booked together. Breakfast is provided on a self services basis and we will stock the cupboards with a selection of cereals, bread, spreads, milk, yogurt, fruit, teas and coffees. The second B&B room is also listed on Airbnb giving the opportunity for the private use of the cottage apartment. If you can't find the listing send us a message and we'll help you book this. Please note the private owners apartment is located upstairs. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night subject to T+Cs. If you intend on bringing your dog please contact us prior to arrival.
Glencoe is the most iconic Glen in Scotland. Dramatic and a "must visit" for all visitors . We are lucky to live right in the middle of the Glen. As someone said to me " the silence at night is deafening!" The sky is black and on a clear night alive with starlight. We feel incredibly lucky to live here and love to share it with everyone! It was here that Warner Bros filmed the Harry Potter film "The Prisoner of Azaskaban! and all the pictures of Hagrids Hut for the subsequent films are from here. You can see the site from Torren Lochan. Warner Bros told us they needed mountains, trees and water and we had it all! The Glencoe Cottages were taken as Editing Offices and they rented Torren House as their Production Office. They were here for 5 months in 2005 .
  • Amazing cottage in an amazing part of the world! Hosts allowed us the peace we were looking for and provided good breakfast items for the morning. 5min drive from Glencoe Village there is beauty all around. Please be aware this is a shared cabin so if you don't book both room 1 and room 2 then you may be sharing the amenities

In the famous Glencoe valley, beside the river Coe and at the edge of an old majestic forest near the historical Signal Rock is our East cottage which can sleep up to 6 people. With its eco-friendly underfloor heating and its views out to the mountains this is a perfect spot to escape to the highlands. You can walk to our famous nearby lively Pub. There is car parking space by the cottage. Please note that we have a policy of 2 nights min stay at the w/e's. Dogs Welcome - £10 pdpn T+Cs apply
East cottage has 3 bedrooms each with 2 beds ( any 2 beds can be made up as a large double on request) 1 bedroom has its own private shower-room. There is a further shared shower-room. All the beds are made up with a bottom sheet, duvet with a cover, & 2 pillows with pillowslips. The living/dining/kitchen area has large glass doors giving views over the river and access to the patio area with garden furniture & a BBQ. There is also a small bonfire area where our guests can enjoy a rustic ourdoor experience. We have midge eating machines running in the summer to help with eliminating the insect life! The living room has 2 sofas and 2 armchairs a coffee table and a bookcase full of books. There is a TV/DVD player, wi-fi radio & free WiiFi access. However do please be aware that in this mountainess area we only get speeds of 0.5 MB! 3G & 4G are available and you will get better internet access on your mobile phone than we can provide you with here. I am just flagging this up because I know many people are disappointed by our low speeds. The dining table seats 6 with a corner bench and additional chairs. There is plenty of crockery & cutlery. The kitchen has an electric fan oven, cooking hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric whisk, toaster, filter coffee machine and an electric kettle. Our water comes direct from our own underground spring. It is filtered and passed through an Ultra Violet light and is as pure as any bottled water you can buy! The cottage is heated and the hotwater comes from an eco friendly central woodchip fed boiler. The woodchips are locally sourced and the wood is sustainably grown. We have a Gold award for our Eco-friendly management and take our Green credentials very seriously. This cottage is let on a self-catering basis. No food is provided. All linen and towels are provided free of charge. East Cottage has a total floor area of 60 sq.m. Dogs Welcome - £10 per dog per night T+Cs apply. Please contact us prior to arrival to arrange the additional dog booking.

  • This was a perfect location for the hiking we did and a wonderful (walkable distance) pub with stunning views. Loved the rushing water by the cabin, deer, ponies and dark starry nights

    Jan2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, rustic cabin very close to running stream in the valleys of Glencoe. So close to nature, hiking and outdoors activity for the whole family. Come for the amazing outdoors - not for the comforts of home. Deer wander freely, as do 2 adorable Shetland ponies around the grounds. A short walk to spectacular views!

    John2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in the most idyllic location. We loved watching the birds from the lounge and even had a deer stroll past. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for a self catering holiday. Comfy beds and soft feather pillows were appreciated after a days walking. We enjoyed a night at the pub (a short walk) which serves great food, has live music (Saturday) and a couple of pool tables. Thank you Keren & Rob we had a great stay.

    Marianne2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place in the middle of nature, we enjoyed it very much including our kids. Fabulous views of the mountains right next to the house, great opportunities for walking and hiking, useful tips from Keren and Rob (hiking to the hidden valley was great!).

    Ralf2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for somewhere quiet, private and breathtaking views, this is the place for you. Just bring a fan if it's summer months :)

    Omar2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with quick access to some beautiful locations for walking, trekking. Just as advertised. Very serene with a nice stream next to the house. Very environmentally friendly family. Thoughtful messages around the house showing extreme care to preserve the beauty and wildlife of the neighborhood. We loved it

    Divya2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Lovely hosts

    Najib2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Glencoe was our favorite destination as we toured the Highlands of Scotland. Truly the most stunning vistas and it was lovely to come back from a day of hiking to Keren and Rob’s charming cottage. We felt very private and comfortable; just sorry it was too rainy or windy to take advantage of the fire pit! We were thrilled to watch a deer wander right across the back garden and loved seeing all the different birds come into the feeder. It was the perfect “get away from it all” location with a handy pub right up the road.

  • The pod is cozy, cute and has everything to allow a comfortable stay. It was very well heated and sparkling clean. Even if my boyfriend is quite tall, it wasn’t too much of an issue and he managed to shower and get around comfortably. We loved the little touches such as the highland cow and purple theme, which added personality to the stay. We really had a great time at the pod and would love to stay again!

  • Charles place was stunning! Loved every bit of it. We were welcomed on arrival. This was indeed one of the best houses I stayed in Scotland. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious & the house was beautifully decorated. There was also Netflix and a cozy fireplace in the living. Charles was kind to help us with it & teach us when we said we were unsure on how to use it. It kept us warm. Everything was perfect for us and the view from the living/bedroom was lovely. Easy to find the house. Highly recommend to stay here!

Tulla Cottage was built in the early half of the 20th century. Its approximately 5 miles north of the Bridge of Orchy. For those walking the West Highland Way arrangements can be made to be collected from the Bridge of Orchy. Although Tulla is only a few hundred yards from the the A82 it is very tranquil, surrounded by ample wild land and its own burn. Although there are no evening meals at Tulla The Bridge of Orchy Hotel has a lovely menu. We are animal friendly having horses, dogs and cats.
If you are searching a peaceful retreat escaping wifi and with limited mobile access you will be welcomed at Tulla.
West Highland Way.Bridge of Orchy.Glencoe.Stunning scenery.
  • A fantastic place to stop on the West Higland Way! Zita was amazing- super flexible with timings to pick us up from the hotel, made sure we had everything we needed a laid on a tremendous breakfast which got us most of the way to Kings House! She has great local knowledge and caterer well for a pair of tired walkers and our dog (who got plenty of biscuits!)

    Laura2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely lovely host, and highly recommended stop for those walking the West Highland Way. She picked me up from Tyndrum, the town before Bridge of Orchy, as my feet were absolutely too tired to continue. She even bought me dinner, did my laundry, made me breakfast, and drove me halfway to my next stop. As of this writing, there were issues with Wifi, however, that's beyond her control due to the Scottish winter weather affecting her satellite, and something that I'm sure she'll get resolved in short time. She made my walk just that much more memorable in the best way possible.

    Gordon2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Zita is by far the friendliest hostess I have ever met! The breakfast was great! Thank you very much!

    Dennis2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay with Zita. She picked us up from the Bridge of Orchy hotel (even being very accommodating when we delayed pick up so we could talk and drink with people in the hotel bar), with a smile and friendly conversation. The rooms were wonderfully kept, and bathroom stocked full of amenities that you don’t bother to carry with you on the WHW. Breakfast was delicious and timely. 10/10 would stay again. Also we got to meet her super sweet puppy 🙂🙂

    Jess2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay at Zita's place! From the beginning the communication with Zita was spectacular. She let us know where to eat for dinner and gave us great directions on how to get to her place. Zita was so lovely to speak with and so kind to us during our stay. The view from the place was spectacular, wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it some more! Had a wonderful rest at her place and a great breakfast. Would highly recommend staying at Zita's place!!

  • Can’t fault my experience. A cosy night in the midst of the Scottish highlands as I ran the West Highland Way. Zita goes above and beyond to help you. I’ve never slept so well! Highly recommend if you want something extremely thoughtful & private over your usual hotel stay. She has everything you need prepared so well. Thanks Zita! Xxx

  • What a great host! This stay has been so much better than i could expect! Zita is a lovely and kind person and so generous. I loved everything about this place and staying in Tulla Cottage! Also, if you have a chance visit the Real Food cafe in Tyndrum where Zita works! The food is amazing and the people (like Zita) are great.

  • We had a fantastic stay in this lovely apartment with great views and everything else you’d need for a great base to explore the local area and beyond. Suzie was an excellent host and very friendly, which made us feel welcome. Although the apartment is an additional space added to the side of the house, it is totally private, so you don’t need to worry about annoying the hosts as they can’t hear through the thick brick walls. Would recommend this as a great place to stay!

  • This is the most beautiful mountain escape, check in was super easy, we got a full tour of the apartment and info about local amenities. The apartment has everything you need including extras such as bath with massage jets (for after your ben nevis climb) and loads of great DVDs for rainy days. 10/10 cannot wait to come back and stay again :)

  • The cottage was clean and beautiful, we really found everything we needed and the communication and welcome was perfect and warm. We just loved to simply walk out of the door and go hiking. The water pressure in the bathroom should be mentioned: just perfect! You don't find that often in Scotland. Cosy, warm and beautiful!

  • John's house in Kinlochleven is a good starting point for many a walk, either long or short, and John has plenty of tips for good walks! The house is comfortable and had everything we needed. The small garden was lovely to sit in and have a coffee in the morning. It's a relatively short drive to places like Fort William and Glennfinnan, so it was a good base for plenty of trips!

On your door step you will find some of Scotland’s most amazing hill walks, suitable for every ambition and ability. Within walking distance of the cottage is the local shop, providing for all your needs, and a choice of great pubs and coffee shops are also within easy walking distance. We welcome (well behaved!) pets. Please ensure no pets are allowed on any furniture :) We operate a fair usage policy for electricity and include £50 worth of usage per week (or a proportion of that amount for shorter stays). A meter reading is taken before each stay and at the end (pictures taken of readings). If you have used a lot more than is, we will contact you with any additional charges within 48 hrs of your departure.
Glencoe boasts a myriad of features/activities. So many you will need to come back for a second bite! Here are just a few things you can do, right on your door step...... 'The Lochan' walk...you have to see it to understand..... The 'Pap' - a famous hill, climbed by many, that over looks the cottage Crafts and Things....best coffee shop in town! Clachaig pub.....dinner sorted!

    Vera2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a few cosy days at Fraser's. The cottage was well equiped and we truly loved the fireplace (which helped keep the cottage cosy as it was already quite cold outsider!). Apart from the road that was quite passing during the day, we loved the location and cottage. Thank you Fraser!

  • Fraser’s cottage is just incredible! It is in the most beautiful location and is full of thoughtful and hearty touches from the amazing open fire to the super comfortable bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could want and it’s super warm and cosy at night. Fraser and Jessica were both lovely and happy to help with anything we needed! We also really enjoyed taking warm baths whilst it was pouring rain outside, it was just an overall wonderful place to stay. Can highly recommend!

  • This cottage was amazing and everything we had hoped for! The cottage was surrounded by beautiful mountains, had free WiFi, lots of plates, bowls and cooking equipment. The log fire worked perfectly and kept us very warm! There are no normal tv channels but the tv did have Netflix and YouTube which suited us fine. The cottage is about a 20 min drive to a big Aldi and M&S, 1 hour drive to Loch Ness, 30 min drive to Ben Nevis (which is why we went to Scotland!). As mentioned in previous reviews the water is a funny brown colour, but was absolutely fine to drink, shower and cook with. Fraser was an excellent host who responded very quickly and helped us out massively when we had to leave a day early! Thanks Fraser!

    Haylea2019-09-25T00:00:00Z

Six miles from historic Glencoe and sitting above Loch Leven with views onto the Mamore mountains, the Byre is a traditional highland dwelling built in the mid 19th century. It used to be the stable for the pony of the deer stalker on the Mamore estate, which hosted many famous guests including King Edward VII. The cottage is perfect as a romantic hideaway, retreat space or base for outdoor sports and sight seeing.
From the bedroom, you can look out over the mountains on two sides and enjoy the wonderful panoramic views for miles around. At dawn and dusk, wild deer can sometimes be seen grazing on the grassy hillside in front of the cottage. The stable door leading into the Byre opens onto a living room and dining area with exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling. The room is equipped with a TV and DVD player, a selection of DVDs and a music player which connects to other devices so you can play your own music. There is also a fast internet connection. Off the living room there is a newly refurbished, well-equipped kitchen with an oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and a good selection of pots, dishes, plates, glasses, cutlery and other utensils. On your arrival, you will find complimentary organic ground coffee, tea, milk and Scottish shortbread. We also provide oil, salt, pepper and sugar. The tiled bathroom finishes off the lovely space with a luxurious double shower, a full rainfall showerhead and a skylight Velux window that floods the room with light. There is gas central heating throughout the cottage and a combination boiler which provides instant hot water. One dog is welcome by prior arrangement - please get in touch before booking.
Kinlochleven village is only a half mile away and has a number of pubs that do excellent bar food. There is a well stocked Co-op supermarket and, for a bigger shop, there is Morrisons supermarket in Fort William which is about 40 minutes away by car. Kinlochleven is also home to 'The Ice Factor', the worlds largest indoor ice-climbing wall, which has a number of other indoor and outdoor climbing activities for all ages. It's a wonderful place, well worth a visit, whether active or not! As the Outdoor Capital of the UK, the region of Lochaber is fantastic for all kinds of outdoor activities including hiking, sailing, skiing, ice-climbing and cycling. The ski resort of Glencoe is about 25 minutes' drive away, the Nevis ranges are about 45 minutes and both ski centres are open all year round for skiers and hikers. Boat trips to visit the islands and spot wildlife depart from Loch Leven and Loch Linnhe. A thirty mile radius from the cottage takes in Ben Nevis, the mountains of Glencoe, the Seal Sanctuary near Oban, Glenfinnan where Bonnie Prince Charlie gathered the clans in 1745 and the famous Harry Potter viaduct .... to name but a few.
  • Chris and Sarah were fantastic hosts. The cottage is beautiful and in a great location. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. We will definitely be back to stay!

  • The Byre is a charming cosy cottage, and its location on the mountainside just past a spectacular waterfall, made it the perfect location for our wee escape. Chris and Sarah were so helpful with their instructions on how to find them and the local area. They even sweetly set up a wee Christmas tree and left mince pies for our arrival. I would highly recommend a stay at The Byre, as its the perfect base to discover the beautiful loch's and mountains of the west coast.

  • Amazing little cottage, very clean and stylish! Would definitely come and stay again, 5 stars all round!

  • Great little get away retreat , in the heart of the Highlands. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, very much worth a stay.

    Jon2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect getaway 'cabin' for our Highland trek! We loved the place. Much larger and with far more amenities than expected (or needed!), this place was amazing for us. We were lucky to star gaze one night, and made a lovely short trip to Glencoe for dinner. The whole experience was perfect but waking up to the view is worth it on its own. Can't wait to return.

    George2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay in The Byre, wish we could have stayed longer. Very quiet, cosy and away from civilization, with fresh air and wildlife galore. Just waking up to a view of the mountains and nothing else was the best feeling ever. Chris and Sarah were wonderful hosts and we can't recommend staying here enough.

    Del2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Place is as advertised - simple space for two people, in a good location to Kinlochleven and beautiful views of the mountains! Had a small issue with the water when there and Chris and Sarah were incredibly lovely and super quick to answer and help us out!

    Alex2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at the Byre! Such a beautiful location and an ideal spot for exploring the area(s) of Glencoe and Loch Leven. The cottage was very cosy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. And Chris and Sarah were great with communication! Definitely recommend staying at the Byre for a magical time in the Highlands!

This is a stand alone log cabin, which has just undergone extensive renovations. It has few neighbours except for myself. It's situated in a wild garden, with access to 3 hectares of beautiful woodland behind. There's a main living room, a galley kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with a large shower. There's also a wood stove to keep you warm There's a plasma TV with chromecast, a speaker system and a guitar for campfire songs! There's also a firepit available for use 30m from the cabin
**Coronavirus update** My guests' safety is of utmost importance to me. I understand people will have concerns and fears coming on holiday and away from their homes. This area is beautiful and wild, and still allows you to restrict social contact whilst also enjoying the great outdoors. In addition to the usual deep clean of my property after every stay, i'll be undertaking additional cleaning of all surfaces, light switches, remote controls and door handles using alcohol wipes and antiviral spray. I'll be distancing myself from all guests as a precaution, but of course, i'm available if anyone needs me. Bedding and towels are provided, and there are a plenty of blankets and cushions to make yourself comfortable. If you require allergy-safe bedding, please contact me to get it ready for you. Heating is provided by a wood burning stove in the living room (all wood felled and split by me from the woods around the cabin) and electric heaters in the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom also has a heated towel rail. There is a firepit in the garden (please don't light fires elsewhere) and there is a small firepit on the side of the loch to watch the sunset from. Children or babies are allowed, but the cabin is not specially set up for them, so you'd need to take responsibility for them, and provide your own cribs / highchairs etc. Pets are permitted, and a dog bed can be made available on request. Extra guests may be accommodated for a fee but you would need to contact me to confirm availability.
This is a secluded cabin in the grounds of the old school house. It is located 60m off of the quiet road on the south side of Loch Eil. There are woods behind the house to explore, and access to the lochside on the other side of the road, perhaps a minute's walk from the cabin. There are walks up onto the mountain behind, but otherwise this is a quiet area. Apart from the occasional car on the road, the only sounds are the birds and the wind in the trees. The nearest shop is in Corpach which is a 20 minute drive away. This is a beautiful, tranquil area, which makes a great base for exploring the highlands. The woods have deer and pine martens in them and there are many birds. The west coast is only an hour down the road and you can be at the base of Ben Nevis in 40 minutes.
  • We had a really relaxing stay at this amazing place to stay. It is in a nice sport in the woods and Pete was really helpful and easily contactable.

    Oliver2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for my girlfriends birthday and this cabin is just perfect! It's so clean and comfortable and in a perfect location. Close enough to fort William to stock up on provisions but remote enough to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Pete was brilliant with his messages and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Pete had the stove going for us on arrival which was great. Loved sitting out on the front porch and looking at the stars. I can't recommend this place enough and I've already told my girlfriend I want to come here again for my birthday. Stop looking for other places and book this place now.

    Tom2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Pete's cabin is just the perfect place for a vacation! It's a charming cabin in the woods, lovely interior design and loads of nice touches to make you feel home. Not only the fireplace warms up the cabin very quickly, but it really makes for a magical atmosphere! We would love to be back for another escape from the city :) Thanks Pete!

    Francesco2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A very cozy cabin, the little touches are teeming, you immediately feel at home! We will come back!

  • We highly recommend Pete's cabin: a haven of peace !! It feels so good! Everything is thought for a great stay! Nothing is missing !! A big thank-you :)

    Laura2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin exceeded our expectations by far. The location, thoughtfulness and personal touches are what made this stay so awesome. We wish we could have stayed longer but can not wait to return. I would suggest this cabin for any trip to this area of Scotland.

    Samantha2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay- this was a very spacious cabin, stylish with character and with very cosy atmosphere, really a gem!Pete was very welcoming and had lighted the fire in the stove before we arrived so it was warm and lovely! The place is environmentally friendly, spotless clean and has everything one might need(from board games to face masks and toothbrushes), fresh linen and amazing views from literally everywhere in the cabin. It was very easy to find and Pete was very quick to respond to my queries. One of my best experiences in the highlands. I'll be back soon- totally recommended!

Kevin was a nice host, he had left a note on his door with everything I needed and came by to say hi once he arrived to make sure I had everything I needed. I staid in October and was not cold, the pods are heated just enough and the blankets really keep you warm!

    Laure2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for a stop off on the West Highland Way. Comfortable nights sleep in our cozy pod, with a beautiful view to wake up to in the morning! In a town of very limited accommodation options, Kevin provides the top option.

    Beth2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, clean pods with comfortable beds, bathroom in separate builiding. Snacks and instant meals are available in kitchen. If you're are West Highland Way Walker: better bring lunch for the next day with you. For breakfast and dinner check nearby hotel.

  • What a treat. Great nights sleep when we were getting slightly weary of The West Highland Way. There was a lovely vibe here, was great to be able to buy some basic bits and have a warm cup of tea. Hosts were lovely and communicated well. Bridge of Orchy Hotel was great too for a snack and a glass of wine - food life looked good too though we didn’t have a main meal here and we stuck to the bar - more our thing. Was snug, comfortable and a lovely part of out trip.

    Carol2019-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice pod with 2 delicious beds directly on the West Highland Way, in Bridge of Orchy.

    Johanna2019-09-24T00:00:00Z

  • We had a fantastic day at Caroline’s immaculate and well designed cabin. On arrival, we were very touched to find Caroline had included so many toys and baby essentials for us to use with our 5 month old son. This was the perfect stay for our first trip as a family of three.

  • Great place to stay. Apartment is in the perfect location, close to the town and glen Nevis. Would return again if staying in the area, apartment was modern and very well kept.

  • Everything was lovely and clean. Janet was incredibly friendly and a great host! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, plenty of storage space and comfortable, homely furnishings.

    Alex2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Janet's place for a last minute trip to Fort William with a friend. Janet's communication was great from the outset. Due to storm Ciara I was delayed with my check in but Janet helpfully made alternative arrangements for me as I got there quite late. The property is a 2 minute drive from the sign pointing at Glen Nevis at the Ben Nevis Visitor Centre Roundabout, on the left hand side. There is a pebbled drive outside the property. The house was sparkling clean and warm on arrival, with helpful touches such as toiletries, towels , kitchen utensils and dishwasher tablets. Janet greeted me in the morning and gave me some local guidance. I loved my stay at the house as it was comfortable and centrally located, with all of the beautiful attractions close by. It was furnished beautifully also. I definitely recommend this property for any visitors to Fort William. I am looking forward to returning in the future.

Great value for the price we stayed and would definitely stay again.

Corrour Signal Box truly is a unique accommodation, which will appeal to anyone wishing to experience the breath-taking scenery of Scotland’s wilderness. Situated on the West Highland Line, the B&B has three bedrooms placed within the railway station’s former signal box. Each bedroom hosts a double bed and private en suite facilities. **The Signal Box is only accessible via train, bike or a twenty mile walk.
Originally built in 1894, the newly renovated Signal Box and Station House Restaurant offer a space in which to relax and enjoy the serenity of the countryside. The bedrooms are located within the Signal Box, with en suite bathrooms. Up the stairs you will find the cosy signal box lounge, a perfect place to unwind with a book or take in the unparalleled views.
The West Highland Line is one of the UK's most beautiful railways. It passes through Scotland’s finest scenery and stops at the UK’s most remote railway station, Corrour. Sitting at the foot of the Corbett, Leum Uilleim (909 m), the Signal Box is set within an impressively remote location. Corrour estate stretches 16 miles to the north-east, to the south-east lies Rannoch moor. On a clear day you can see the peak of Ben Nevis to the North; Scotland’s highest mountain. Our closest neighbours are over 20 miles away, perfect for those wishing to escape the hubbub of city life.
  • My 3rd stay here. I've stayed in Summer, Spring and now Autumn to get a feel of the place in these seasons, only wish I could experience a winter here. I imagine it's pretty desolate. As always, the welcome was great, food outstanding and plentiful. Already decided I'll be back in 2020.

    Mark2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place if you love walking, good food and friendly, helpful hosts. We totally relaxed.

    Susan2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Highlands. Everyone was wonderful and even with the poor weather, it was still a spectacular visit. You cannot beat the views and the lounge in the old switchbox is a perfect place to relax and read while taking in the breathtaking view.

    Justin2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Corrour Station is about quirkiness and the location which is pretty difficult to beat for being off the beaten track and in the middle of vast areas of open and wild hills - very beautiful when the sun is on it and can appear equally austere when the wind rain and mist come in! The rooms offer fun quirky bedrooms built in old station buildings and accommodation is fresh and basic - very warm and welcoming - good drying room and wonderful little sitting room from which to spy the hill and any oncoming trains! The cafe/restaurant/bar is also warm and welcoming with very good food!

    Jane2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • If you ever wanted to stay in the middle of nowhere, you should plan Corrour Station House (2 nights recommended). Discover Scottish hospitality, great atmosphere, wonderful landscapes in the Rannoch Moor (tips for hikes are available from the team on site or in the Signal Box Lounge). Deceleration once differently.

    Michaela2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Special place to stay and experience the remoteness and unique landscape

    John Walker2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Probably the best Air B&B you’ll go to! The staff are absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. The scenery is breathtaking and the signal box was peaceful and relaxing. You won’t regret coming here!

'Munro's Pod' recently built in Corpach, Fort William looking right onto Ben Nevis. The Pod is right next to a nature trail, great for walking and cycling if you like to get outdoors but if not sit in and relax watching Netflix. A bus stop is just a five minute walk away which will take you into Fort William itself. Caledonian canal and ‘Neptune’s staircase’ 5 minutes away. Glenfinnan known for the famous 'Harry Potter Viaduct' is a twenty minute drive up 'A830' road. Nevis range skiing 5.3 mile
Perfect for a couples break! Free parking right outside, king size bed, walk in shower and cooking area is all inside. There is a sofa bed in place which could sleep another adult or two children but i would like to point out its quite small. (Tight for space). Cereals and tea/coffee will be put in place and a small fridge for guests to store food.
Corpach is an excellent spot for looking onto the mountains during sun set.
  • What a fantastic place to stay! Highly recommended . So clean and the hot tub is amazing! We can’t wait to go back 😀

  • Although we didn't expect the lodge to be in a garden, we had the utmost privacy and a separate entrance so we could come and go as we pleased. The place was clean, well designed and had lots of nice touches to make the most use of the space. With glencoe a pleasant drive away, this was a great location for our hikes through the trails. Martin was a great host and provided everything we could have needed for our stay. Would highly recommend!

  • I stayed here with my partner for a couple of nights. In terms of location it is great for seeing the local area such as walks up to Steall falls. It’s also at the top of the street so it is quiet and peaceful. The accommodation was lovely, having Netflix and a hot tub too which was great once the night settled in. Bed was also extremely comfy and there is a nice wee area for cooking either through the hob or microwave. There is also a kettle and toaster plus plenty of cutlery, plates, cups etc. Having the towels provided was also a nice touch. Thank you Martin

  • We have loved our stay here so much! The hot tub is amazing after lots of wet and windy walks out exploring. The cabin is cosy with loads of well thought out touches. We particularly liked exploring Steall falls with the wire bridge, and going up Aonach Mor in a gondola! Great host, with lots of tips of the local area and quick responses!

Little Yoke is a quirky, small B&B that specifically caters for 1 or 2 people, and has 2 rooms dedicated to guests. The single ensuite has a shower room (no bath), free WIFI, complimentary tea/coffee, hairdryer and TV/DVD, so guests can relax with a film. The little "chill out" room has a sofa, so guests can relax in the evening, and is also the breakfast room, where a wide choice caters for most guests appetites..... homemade porridge is particularly popular!!
Little Yoke is situated in a quiet crescent, surrounded by beautiful mountains, and is a 5 minute walk from the West Highland Way, Grey Mares waterfall, and the Ice Factor (indoor climbing centre)
Kinlochleven has 4 local pubs and a chip shop, all walkable from the B&B. There is also a post office and Co-op supermarket. For more shops, skiing or a hike up Ben Nevis, you can visit Fort William which is a 40 minute drive away. There is also an option to take the number 44 bus which goes from Kinlochleven to Fort William, via Glencoe, Glencoe ski resort is approximately 25 minutes away or the Glencoe visitor centre is a 10 minute drive and worth a coffee stop. The village has access to some amazing walks, particularly the famous West Highland Way and the Mamore mountains. Also the Ice Factor, indoor climbing centre (with ice wall) is definitely worth seeing and taster sessions can be booked.

She goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and is a total wealth of information on things to do in the area and beyond, especially related to hiking! Everything was lovely, the room, the breakfast, the views, the area, and especially the host. I can’t recommend Joanna’s place enough!!!

Our highland lodge sits on the shores of Loch Lochy in the Great Glen of Scotland. A secluded location perfect for local trails, climbing the highest mountain in the uk or just relaxing by the water. Freshly refurbished and new to airbnb, this unique location is perfect for road trips, groups and special events. Every room has a view of the loch and outdoor area to enjoy the sunsets. If you would like further pictures please follow #smokeyoaklodge on Instagram.
Smokey Oak is a perfect space to take in the raw beauty of the Great Glen. Loch Lochy is on your doorstep and there are views up and down the loch which give you an amazing feeling of space as you watch the different boats travelling along the Caledonian Canal. We offer the chance to cook your own food or use the local restaurants (which also do take away). Use Smokey Oak as a base to plan trips to the major attractions in the highlands.
Although Smokey oak is in a peaceful and remote setting, It is only 3.5 miles from the local village with shop/pubs/restaurants and 10 miles from the town of Fort William. There you can find major supermarkets, a decent selection of pubs/restaurants and anything you would need from a town highstreet. The cable car gondola on Nevis range and various trails, including climbing Ben Nevis, is right on your doorstep. Many people now use Fort William to go on the Harry Potter train line to Mallaig or travel further on the A82 for a day in stunning Glen Coe. Using Smokey Oak as a base for different day trips is a great idea because from the lodge you can reach Skye, Oban, Cairngorm National Park, Inverness and Morar Silver Sands beaches in just 1.5 hours. Even if you want a day without the car, there are some secret trails from the lodge as well as the more popular Great Glen Way right beside you.
  • Clean rooms, very reasonably priced with very obliging and at attentive host. Would recommend to those for first night on the Great Glen Way from Fort William. Worth the 1.5 ml detour from the GGW and if you are so inclined bring a travelling fishing rod. Euan

  • Staying at Graeme's was a great experience as the house is located in a really charming, peaceful area, close to the coolest landmarks of the Highlands. Also, Graeme is a very nice and helpful person. The standard of a room was rather basic, but it was clean and the shared kitchen was well-equipped and neat. I would recommend Graeme's place for a short stay when travelling through the beautiful Highlands!

    Sarah2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is a perfect place to stay after a hard walking day. The landscape around the lodge is beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed the night there with stars, a bright moon at night and a stunning view in the morning. Graeme is a lovely host that help in every situation. We hope to come back soon.

  • This place is all about the location, the views, and the host! Couldn't find a more perfect spot to sit and have a cup of tea (or just sit and look at the views for several hours...). Check-in nice and easy. Right on the loch. Short drive to Fort William. Shorter drive to Spean Bridge. Easy to get to Ben Nevis, Mallaig, Loch Ness, Loch Lomond... Graeme was lovely and was very happy to share stories about the clans and the stories of the loch. Thank you for a great stay!

  • Jeannine was so lovely! She’s very personable and helpful. She offered tips and advice for things to do in the area and where to eat. The room and bed were very comfortable. I loved staying here!

    Kristen2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeannine’s place exceeded expectations. The room was clean and spacious; much larger than we had anticipated. Jeannine was so lovely and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent, with cereal, yoghurt and fruit, all the tea and coffee you could need, as well as ham and cheese for sandwiches. Absolutely loved our stay!

  • Jeannine is a lovely person, she welcomed us very well in her house which is very well located to enjoy Glencoe and Glen Nevis. Thanks again for your time and your warm welcome ! We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. And Jeanine was wonderful to talk to. We could not have asked for a better place. We highly recommend staying here when in the area.

    Mark2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed only for one night at Jeannine's house but it was like coming home for a few hours. After a long journey, he wanted us. The welcome we received was the best, so much so that for the whole time we thought of finding ourselves in a hotel instead of an airbnb. The private bathroom and the table already set for an abandoned breakfast have certainly helped. I wish I had more time to listen to Jeannine's suggestions on things to do and see around. We will definitely be back. Thanks Jeannine!

Newly renovated one bedroom cottage which is set peacefully off the road in the crofting community of Stronaba. Fantastic views from all aspects yet not too far to the local amenities of Spean Bridge and the town of Fort William. A great base for accessing local walks, local historical sites, biking, skiing, and a whole range of other outdoor sports that Lochaber has available.

  • Callum’s cottage is a very cosy one. It is perfectly equipped, very clean and has a nice atmosphere. You can see the ducks and chickens running around and also enjoy the great view. We had a very warm welcome, the fire was burning nicely so we came in a warm house while it was very cold outside. We would surely recommend Squirrel Cottage!

  • Squirrel Cottage was lovely, it was beautifully clean and with the wood burner going it was lovely and snug. We had several day trips out as the cottage is close to lots of local attractions. The dish washer was a bonus as we ate in the cottage each night. All in all it was a great stay

    Jen2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Nice cosy cabin in a great location. Everything you need for a weekend or longer away. Only downside was a very soft/worn out mattress. Otherwise perfect and looks better in person than the photos!

Kinlochleven is a picturesque highland village with an interesting past. It is full of natural beauty and is on the West Highland Way. The village has a post office and local shops. There are pubs and restaurants for eating out and a wee dram. Lochaber is know as the outdoor capital of the UK with many activities on offer such as snow sports, mountain biking and mountaineering. In the village there is the opportunity to take part in indoor climbing at the ice factor and other adrenaline sports at vertical descents. There are many walks to take in the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains rivers and lochs. There is also the chace to learn about the industrial past of the village and the role kinlochleven played in WW2.
  • Leaving out the circumstances of the current world situation which accelerated when I was about to stay at The Wee Hut - it has been a great way to stay at Kinlochleven. I absolutely loved the place. So cosy and thoughtfully decorated with everything you need. I hope to come back again when things have calmed down in the world to enjoy it even more. Thank you so much Rob and Denise

  • The Wee Hut felt more like a Wee Home. Rob & Denise really are super hosts. They provided a breakfast basket for the morning, logs for the amazingly efficient wood stove in the hut, and are both extremely friendly. Their dog Is also super adorable. The space includes a warm bathroom with a shower, a microwave, a hob/stove top, a mini fridge, a sink, a sofa/sofa bed, an amazing wood stove, a TV, a comfortable bed, and more. 100% would recommend to anyone travelling to Scotland.
