Places to stay in B Z Corner
At the end of the road you will find our slice of paradise - right on the White Salmon river. Here we enjoy 4 acres and a few unique structures to say the least. Nestled in the woods, above the rest of the property, is a one of a kind guest house.
The Birdhouse truly is a one of a kind structure - with 12 walls total, we call it a 'dodecahedron'. The interior space includes a full size bed and couch. There's an outdoor Bathhouse separate from the Birdhouse that has a flush toilet and on demand shower.
Our property is a 5-10 minute walk to downtown BZ Corner. If you are a rafter, kayaker, or outdoor enthusiast of the sort, you will be very pleased with this location. We also have hiking trails right out the back door.
  • We really enjoyed staying here! The space is comfortable and private. Neat bar/restaurant very close by and so much nature right outside the door. Easy scenic drive into White Salmon too. Thanks for sharing your space!

  • The directions to the location may seem complicated at first, but it is VERY easy to find the Birdhouse. Don't pass up the chance to use the Outdoor shower!

  • Thank you so much! It was lovely to stay. Had the time of my life there.

  • Words cannot describe the beauty of this place! The pictures do not do it justice! The hosts were very helpful with directions and they made us feel very welcome. The nearby river was gorgeous and I will definitely be back!

  • Great peaceful spot for a rustic getaway. Off the beaten path but at the end of a great drive along the beautiful White Salmon river area. I'll hopefully make it back here again!

  • We loved the Birdhouse! White Salmon is lovely and Alice & Bryce were so welcoming. We felt right at home.

  • We had reservations for the birdhouse after a wedding we were attending in trout lake. As we were running late to the wedding, we didn't scout out the place to get a feel for where it was going to be on our return drive from the wedding. Unfortunately, my fiancé and my phones didn't have the best service in that area and weren't able to navigate our way successfully to the cabin. Our hosts tried everything they could, texts, phone calls, smoke signals, to help guide us to their place for the evening, but alas we missed out on the birdhouse experience, as we grew sleepy and decided to search for another place once we regained cell service. Totally our fault, our hosts were kind and patient with us, but it just wasn't meant to be. We will try again next time we are around. Best, Remmy and Brittany.

  • My 14 year old son and I really enjoyed our break in the Birdhouse. It was a unique space and very cozy. Everything we needed was nearby. Bryce and Alice were kind and easy hosts and we look forward to staying again with pocket money for the whitewater rafting down the White Salmon river.

The Deer Cove is The Logs Inn's largest unit . Upstairs of the Deluxe Unit is a sunlit-bathed, sloped-ceiling, open bedroom with a queen size bed. The downstairs includes the restroom, kitchenette, and living room, which has a flatscreen TV, DVD player, and a couch that can be transformed into a full-size bed. A cozy second bedroom with a full-size bed is also on the main floor.
This unit used to be part of an 1940's dance hall. The refinished original floors with log-stacked walls and modern amenities, the feeling inside the rooms are the perfect combination of the historic logging town and a up-to-date, clean and modern dwelling.
Peaceful town of BZ Corner is just 10 miles away (10-15 minutes) from White Salmon, Hood River, and Trout Lake, located next to the beautiful White Salmon River, which you can hike along to BZ Falls.
  • Beautiful rooms to rest and relax up the white salmon river.dont forget to look for the eagels on the way up.

  • This would be a great place for a group stay during the summer doing white water rafting. We’ll be back with more people!

  • Great experience. Annie was an excellent host!

    Austen2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really nice inside - feels like new! The beds are super comfortable, lots of warm woodwork. Don't ignore Annie's encouragement to hike to BZ falls down the road. It is BEAUTIFUL along the river. The falls is to the left after you go down the hill...we actually didn't make it all the way because we thought it was the smaller falls to the right. But a great little hike nonetheless.

    Molly2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • super chill spot for the outdoor enthusiast, or anyone really. The cabin is attached to 3 other units and the restaurant but it wasn’t too loud or noisy. The restaurant had good comfort food and some Korean fusion dishes, everything we ate was great. The cabin is like a small two story apartment size wise with a good sized bathroom/shower with a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. I would stay again for sure

    Derrick2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy & located just close enough to Hood River. Comfy bed and couch. Highly recommend

    Meagan2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, excellent customer service. I’d stay there again!

    Melissa2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We planned a quick trip to the Hood River area, and opted to stay in the White Salmon area for a quiet cabin experience. We were pleased with charming space, friendly host, and the bar and restaurant next door was fun. The only comment to make sure other potential renters know is this hotel style not apartment style in terms of kitchen and amenities, but with so much close by it is easy to get by without it.

The Micro Shelter is for visitors with an interest in tiny homes and unique structures. Designed by an architect, the Pacific Northwest modern home makes efficient use of space (216 square feet including the loft) while incorporating custom craftsmanship and off grid systems. The location is in the woods along the cliffs of the White Salmon River - the perfect setting for peace and relaxation and countless recreational opportunities nearby.
If you are someone who has trouble climbing ladders, this might not be the best spot for you. There is a small-ish opening to get up to the loft.
Our property is a 5 minute walk to downtown BZ Corner where there is a gas station/market and restaurant. If you are a rafter, kayaker, or outdoor enthusiast of the sort, you will be very pleased with this location.
  • We had an amazing stay! Great property in a beautiful region. The place has all of the amenities one could want! Thanks again Alice+Bryce

  • Very cozy space, if you’re ever wanting to experience a tiny home experience I recommend this one!

    Alexis2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, inspiring tiny house, with a comfy bed and lots of storage (unlike some other tiny houses I've been in). We loved our time here and would happily return.

    Kathy2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • It's truly a great experience to spend time in a tiny house. This is the perfect place if you want to stay in or explore the area. The tiny house is well equipped to stay in and is rightly located with easy access to White Salmon river, Mt Adams and is in a cozy private spot. Don't miss the stars are night in the courtyard outside the tiny house. Alice and Bryce made the experience special with their suggestions on what to do around BZ Corner. 5 stars from me.

  • My husband and I were a bit hesitant after a disastrous tiny house stay in Anchorage. However, this place restored our faith in the tiny houses of Airbnb! It was perfect in every way. The design itself is something to be appreciated on its own. Our hosts were kind and generous. You can’t go wrong booking their place!

Located at the foothills of Mt. Adams, Blue Elk Farms and Vineyard is a rustic, secluded, and spectacular natural setting in the Columbia Gorge for your getaway. Enjoy gorgeous working vineyards and mountain views tucked away in a stunning landscape of pastoral rolling hills and peaceful northwest woodlands. Our place is close to family-friendly activities and is great for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
You’ll love my place because of the views, location, ambiance, and outdoor spaces. We're located just seconds away from some of the best kayaking in the Pacific Northwest on the White Salmon River. We lovingly call it the land of rainbows and waterfalls! The area is famous for breathtaking hiking, salmon fishing, wine tasting, kiteboarding, windsurfing, beer and cider tasting, fruit picking and so much more. It's an spirit-loving outdoors person's paradise. Feel free to contact us with questions regarding the best seasonal things to do! • If you want a magical, cozy, get away, this yurt is it! We spent Christmas here and were even treated to a brief snowfall. The vineyard yurt is quiet and very private. I recommend that you take the small walk to the vineyard. The views are worth it!

    Molly2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! The yurt was a lot bigger than I had expected. We stayed warm with the heaters and we were really grateful for allowing our dogs

    James2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here to celebrate his birthday! It was just the relaxation and rejuvenation we needed. The yurt is super comfortable, clean, cozy and warm. Overall, we can’t wait to book this spot again and we highly recommend staying here.

    Kyle2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for anyone looking to stay outside the city.

    Pete2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jocelyn's place was such a beautiful and cozy place to retreat to The well/spring water that comes out of the tap tastes, and feels so clean. It was a wonderful surprise to arrive to, and the gas stove worked great! The yurt stays plenty toasty when it's cold out, and since it rained while we were there, the sound of the rain on the yurt was incredibly soothing, and the mists through the mountain ridges were breathtaking to observe, as was the sunrise. The bed and futon are mighty comfy, as are the soft blankets, and towels. There are great magazines to flip through, and a very thorough book about the waterfalls and hikes in the area, is available as well. All around the space has a lovely layout and feel, is clean, with a very kind host, and it was just what we needed.

    Chelsea2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

Luxury camping. Get away. Hide away.
Why share your space when you can have privacy? Quiet. Serene. Solid. Cozy. Clean. Our 12' x 18' free standing cabin has queen-sized bed and a bathroom with shower and lots of hot water. It is nestled on a hill just below our home so you have privacy and wilderness without having to hike or go without amenities. We are located between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood so you can take advantage of what the mountains have to offer (like a great day of skiing!) without having to worry about a long drive home. **We are pet friendly. Maximum of two pets. Thank you!** Room includes: --wi-fi --mini-fridge --linens, towels, and beach towels (we use allergy-sensitive cleaners & detergents) --bathroom with shower --Keurig coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate --ceiling fan --bedside clock with USB dock & outlets for easy phone charging --private deck, great place to enjoy morning coffee or nighttime star gazing --access to covered grilling area (with propane heater!) and grill with side burner --maps and info on local tourist attractions and hikes --circular driveway for easy parking --5 miles to White Salmon, 7 miles to Hood River Check in any time after 3 pm; check out at 11 am. **We are a NO smoking and a NO 420 property. Violation of either of these house rules will result in an immediate $350 cleaning fee.*** We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin. We are 35 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows and 25 miles Mt. Adams. Trails for hiking and exploring waterfalls are in abundance. **Please note: once you reserve with us, read the driving directions carefully. Please read the written driving directions as the visual landmarks we provide are very helpful. Our driveway is preceded by an uphill, gravel/dirt road (about 1/4 mile in length) that may be a bit bumpy. We have had guests drive here in vehicles from Smart cars to tricked out SUV's with no issues. Always feel free to message us with questions. Got pets? Let us know. Maximum of 2 pets. Please keep dogs leashed by the house, but we do have miles of trails so there are plenty of places to take your four-legged friends for a walk without leashes. Also, please keep pets off the bed. We recommend bringing some extra bedding for your pet. We do stock the cabin with dog towels. If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site. Large driveway that circles around can easily accommodate RV's, campers, and horse trailers.
Private but not isolated. A perfect place to launch to events in the Gorge, or a perfect place just to hide away.
  • Lisa had great communication and check-in instructions. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip last minute due to COVID-19 event cancellations and a snowstorm. We can't wait to visit soon! Thank you so much for your hospitality and understanding, Lisa!

Our Tiny House is newly built and ready to provide you with a charming woodland experience. Nestled on our property, conveniently located next to the driveway you will have your own space to come and go. Located 20 minutes from tourist hotspot, Hood River OR. We are a bustling community of nature loving people, surrounded by animals. Our driveway can accommodate one vehicle which will be parked right next to the Tiny House.
You will have exclusive access to the Tiny House and surrounding lounge area complete with picnic table, camp chairs and fire pit. The Tiny House is located next to a fully working shop so it can be conveniently near the driveway for easy parking, power and water hook ups. There is a composting toilet and indoor hot shower. My place is close to family-friendly activities, great views, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, XC skiing near by and families (with kids). PLEASE BE ADVISED: Daylight check in preferred! We will likely not be available for late check in as we have young children. This is a heavily forested area that can be challenging to navigate in the dark. We have unleashed dogs that are extremely friendly. Winter could compromise shower or running water, this is our first season of winter with the tiny house. Our hope is that all systems prevail through freezing temps but we do we’d your understanding should weather complicate things. Happy trails!
We are on a dirt road. Guests must drive 10mph past all houses alongside the road. There are neighborhood children and dogs that you need to be cautious of with driving speeds. Respect and courtesy to our neighbors.
  • Wonderful property, cabin and town! My girlfriend and I stayed here in late December and we couldn’t be cozier. Kathryn was available for any questions I had and couldn’t have been friendlier. :)

  • This cabin is so cute and cozy! Annie is a great host that made sure to take care of us (and our dog!) and gave us great tips for around the area when we asked her. This place is a simple get away and has great eats right next door, plus a gas station across the street - so if you're looking for a quiet vacation to do some reading, watch some movies (they have a blu-ray player and directv!), paint, or whatever you fancy, this is the place to go. Plus, the drive out there is beautiful.

    Hyunjy2019-03-10T00:00:00Z

  • We stayed in the Bear Room and it was absolutely perfect. Comfy, clean, perfect size, SUPER comfortable bed and pillows. So close to exploring Mt. Adams, Indian Heaven, and other places around Gifford Pinchot. Nice park nearby with a short walk down to the White Salmon River. Loved having a restaurant right at the Inn, and the food there was absolutely amazing. Looking forward to staying there again. Annie and the entire restaurant staff are just awesome.

  • cute spot in BZ corner, quiet, well-maintained. overall good experience

    Anna2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to use as a base if you want to explore the Gorge and Mt Adams, not to mention White Salmon River. Nice that there is restaurant attached. Comfortable and clean, host was very accommodating and friendly. Cute knotty pine interiors and shared outdoor patio with fire pit and picnic tables in the shade.

    Kari2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Annie's place. My mom, my 15 month old daughter, my dog and I enjoyed Annie's hospitality and the unique location. There is a trail located near the lodge. If you have an infant or toddler and are wanting a workout, I recommend getting out on the trail early with a baby back pack and some sturdy shoes.

    Mary-Anne2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Annie is a efficient and caring host, a delight to be around. The beds are top rate! Fabulously Comfortable and easy to get a good nights sleep on. There is enough room to enjoy the space in the cabin, even if people are into different activities ( reading verses TV or nap) our dog loved going out to the dog yard and relating with Jemma, their Golden lab (who is a sweetheart!) if you are planning on eating in, best to come prepared with paper plates, silverware and other meal prep stuff. It worked out great for us as we actually felt more in vacation mode without cooking meals and heating food from home we had prepared and brought. Their fridge is small BUT quiet and holds an amazing amount of food! We caught and filleted about 30 fish and the top freezer froze it all, Including the roe from the females! The restaurant that is a part of the complex was delicious and served a lot of food! My husband and I found the other patrons entertaining and lively. There is plenty to do in the area, beautiful river a easy walk down a maintained trail, beauty everywhere. BZ corner does have activity, if you want gas, it is across the street, great meal, right across the courtyard, a myriad of activities are all around, rafting of all levels to horse back riding a short car ride away. Or a few steps away and you have privacy and seclusion. We loved it so much we are booked for next year already!

Introducing the newest jewel in our crown: The Ravens' Nest opens her Wings to you. This snug riverside bungalow has everything you need. Relax in your separate bedroom overlooking a waterfall year-round. Cook up a storm in our kitchen. Eat at the dinning room table or out on the deck. If you are planning an event or reunion, check out the Spirit Lodge as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same gorgeous, convenient location. Lots of parking.
This is a simple cabin made with rough-cut wood, inside and out. It sits right on the edge of the wild and scenic White Salmon river. It is intimately imbued with all the natural elements. Open the sliding glass door in either the bedroom or living room and take in the sound of the rushing water. Wildflowers carpet the banks (that were recently lake bottom) in spring. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Ravens' Nest, the Spirit Lodge, and our cabin. Be sure to look up Spirit Lodge if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. Also, we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog.
This is in a delightful location, a short walk from the kayak and raft take out @ Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there’s nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road. Go horseback riding at the nearby stables. Explore the whole Mt Adams corridor up Hwy 141. So full of “Curious Gorge” sights and sounds plus the exhilarating smell of nothing but Mother Nature’s own perfume. We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cider houses, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing and meandering the paths and back roads of some of the countries most beautiful places. We are about 12 minutes from downtown White Salmon which is a lovely little mountain town with drop dead gorgeous views of Mt. Hood and some great dining options (Everybody's Brewing, White Salmon Baking Co., Pioneer Pizza, and Feast). In the Summer, stop by Reigleman's Orchard just down the road for incredible berries, peaches, nectarines, apples, and pears. We have a very lovely grocery store--Harvest Market-- which is well stocked (plenty of local ingredients and everything else too). Downtown Hood River is about 15 minutes away.
  • Oma's place is in White Salmon is a gift to anyone needing a place to unwind, recharge, get quiet or just hunker down with a friend or loved one. As we walked around the property to see the beautiful rushing river out back, we saw the deck was beautiful with lights and chairs, table recliners, a grill -everything you'd need to feel at home and cozy. We grilled hamburgers! We drove and then hiked to the waterfall not far from the cabin on oma's recommendation. (Worth it!) We went into white Salmon, about 5 miles away and there's plenty of great restaurants and bars there. Lots to do and see. We slept in, (bed was perfect!) made coffee, played Scrabble, listened to music and continually fed the beautiful wood stove provided there. We even chopped some wood! This is a fantastic, yet unpretentious, cozy little hideaway. Don't miss an opportunity to see this land, feel the warmth of the cozy cabin, and recharge your batteries. Oma- thank you. You are a superb host and an even better person! Grateful, Desiree & Tim

  • Such a wonderful experience for my family and me!! The location does not get any better, and Oma and Lindy were wonderful hosts. Our kiddos also loved it here. It was very peaceful and there were cards and other games for us to play after we got back from exploring each day. The cabin had everything we needed. Hope to go back soon!!

  • This cabin had an amazing location and we drove about 10 minutes to an awesome hike in the mountains, walked to the river park that was across the street, and hung out on the back deck near the river. The host was super kind and showed us around the area and told us about hikes. The place itself had really special touches, original art, and poetry and other types of books. The only issue was that it smelled like skunk, as there was one nearby. Loved this place and definitely would be back!

    Aly2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay here! The cabin is in an absolutely perfect location (loved hearing the river going to sleep at night) and is so cutely decorated. There was a fire going for us when we arrived, which made the cabin very warm and cozy. Oma was very responsive and it was a very easy check-in process.

    Ilana2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome and a wonderfully peaceful visit. Oma was a wonderful host and had everything we needed. Super cozy bed too!!! We loved falling asleep to the sound of the river and small waterfall. 💙

  • The cabin was lovely with a perfect location for cross-country skiing and hiking. We enjoyed our time in the cozy cabin. We spent our time reading, knitting, painting, playing games, and watching the river and the occasional kayaker go by. The kitchen was well stocked and we found everything we needed to prepare our meals. A wonderful grocery store was close by in White Salmon. Our dog especially enjoyed the cabin located right across the street from a park which was perfect for frequent walks. The insider tip to a spectacular waterfall made the stay extra special.

    Susan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful, comfortable space, perfect for anyone looking for a cozy cabin off the beaten track. Oma was there to greet us and gave us great tips on nearby places to eat and visit. I highly recommend this place!

RV Campsite available minutes from the White Salmon River and the Columbia River Gorge in beautiful wooded area, just minutes to all the fun of the White Salmon and Columbia River Gorge. Port a potty, Shower facility, Picnic table and water spigot. Can accommodate up to 25 ft RV or Camper, Slight incline coming up hill in to camp for those RV's with lack of power.
RV Camping in the woods, but minutes to the White Salmon River and the Columbia River Gorge. Great location for anyone wanting to camp but be close in proximity to Hood River, Wineries, Fruit Farms, Kayaking, Biking, Motorcycling, Wind Surfing, Kite Boarding, hiking, ect ect ect…. This spot is just minutes from everything the Columbia River Gorge offers but set in a park like setting for the peace and quietness many of us enjoy while resting. Location offers a port a potty and outdoor shower along with picnic tables and water. Bring your own RV, set it up and then go explore our great area. Camping cook stoves are allowed but outdoor fire pits are not as the county has a burn ban in effect. Please be mindful of your actions and noise as we have other guest usually saying in the area, quiet time is 10pm-8am which means silences please. Generators are allowed with RV's but must not be left running and must follow the quiet times posted.
Camping location is located 2 miles up the road from the Columbia River Gorge , 2 miles to the White Salmon, 20 miles to Stevenson, 6 miles to Hood River, but sits next to Riggleman's Orchard surrounded by tree's and forest (Riggleman's is a working Orchard and at times will be moving heavy machinery around while picking). Riggleman's provides fresh produce and other locally made goods, just up the road in Husum is the Kayaking site for those thrill seekers looking for some great White Water Rafting, fishing is plentiful down on the Columbia as well as our unknown White Salmon beach just on the left hand side of the bridge under the railroad for those interested in Kiteboarding, windsurfing, paddle boarding, fishing or just plan sitting, relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Head up to White Salmon for some great beer and restaurants, or visit Dickey Farms in Bingen for another great resource of locally grown fruits and veggies. Plenty to do and see in Washington with some amazing hiking locations and mountain bike trails. If that's not enough head over to Oregon and explore Hood River and the surrounding area. Plenty of night life, farms, beer pubs, cider houses, shopping, movies, hiking, water sports and the list could go on and on. Please be advised that living fairly close to the river means noise from the freeways and trains can be heard, we can not prevent that living in the Gorge.
  • I love this nook in the woods. It's a clean, quiet spot with a very short walk to the bathroom and shower, and a scenic drive to downtown. Carl was friendly, responsive, and accommodated me and my dog very well for our stay.

    Levi2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Carls spaces are accessible, level and clean, nicely shaded off of a quiet road. Town is close. The shower is as hot and long as you want. Carl is delivering a great value. Loved it there. Planning to return.

  • Beautiful location, clean campsite in the trees a few miles from downtown White Salmon, and really close to the White Salmon kite launch beach. Carl and Cathy were wonderful hosts. We'll be back!

    Tara2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay!! Thanks Carl!

    Blake2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in the small cabin this past weekend while in town for a kayaking adventure. We upgrade after arriving from tent camping to the cabin due to rain, and the host responded very quickly. We found the cabin very cozy and had everything we needed - decent bed, clean linens, picnic table, and a cute little front porch which we were able to use for cooking dinner when it rained. We also had cell reception which was great. We didn't experience any disruptive noise from the orchard next door, the toilet was very clean and the shower was an awesome bonus. We would definitely recommend Carl's place when you're in white salmon. We will likely keep it in our back pocket as a great place to stay when we're in the area again!

  • Great spot. Well take care of, easy to find, get in and out of, and felt so private. Highly recommend !!!

    Heidi2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! My partner and I were visiting family nearby in Hood River and brought our tent in hopes of finding an 'outdoor hotel room' for a couple of nights since it was so beautiful outside. Carl was immediately responsive and we were able to confirm the stay quickly. His directions led us to the spot easily, and we slept quite well both nights.

    Rayleen2017-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful quiet little place! Campsite was clean. Great covered outdoor shower that I got to share with a tiny frog buddy! Toilet left a bit to be desired but it was also way above 90 degrees the days we were there so that was to be expected. Even heard a wild animal walking around out in the trees one night. Carl was a great host and we would definitely go back!

**Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations.** Duplex located 7 miles from downtown White Salmon, on the former golf course, right across the highway from the White Salmon River. Half a mile to rafting rentals, cafe and grill (open end of May through September) and ten minutes to downtown White Salmon. Fully appointed, bright studio above another apartment. Stay in and cook a meal to enjoy on the deck!
This upstairs studio has a spacious, open feel, with views out to the tree tops. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking (plus coffee and tea) The bathroom is fully stocked, too. For large groups up of up to 6, consider renting the main floor apartment as well, which sleeps four (listing is https://www.airbnb.com/h/river-rafters-delight-main-floor ). Your backyard deck with BBQ is a beautiful, private place to hang out. (Downstairs unit has a separate patio of their own). With extended stays, the laundry room can be made available to you. We have guidebooks to suggest a myriad of activities in every direction! Husum is a great central location. Although the golf course next door is no longer functioning, you can still take a walk or jog on grounds.
The little community of Husum on the White Salmon River has a few rafting and kayaking establishments if you want to check out the river. Wet Planet also has a grill open from May to October (hours vary seasonally) and an espresso bar with gift shop that opens most mornings at 8 if you want to pick up a muffin. We are also only 1.5 miles from the beautiful Tin Roof Barn wedding venue. Continuing up the highway, through forests and pasture land, is BZ Corner with a mini market and The Logs Restaurant. Conboy Nature Preserve is a few miles further on, a place to see elk and birds. Of course, heading back down river is the town of White Salmon with everything you need and want: groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, shops, library, hospital. And Hood River is right across the toll bridge. Check out their waterfront park!
  • My husband and I loved this spot; Teresa is a great host and the location was perfect for our weekend trip up the Gorge. The space was clean and bright, and we got to enjoy a weekend of snow in March in a very pretty spot!

  • This is such a cute loft with lots of light. The bed was comfortable and even though the loft is just by the highway we didn’t hear a thing! The distribution is perfect for two people. The bath has everything you could need and even extras. This was a very relaxing experience and definitely better than expected!

    Gabriela2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space is very clean and practical. Couldn't ask for a better centralized location for going to town (Hood River/White Salmon) and contrasting it with outdoor adventure and fun. Will be coming back for sure.

Nestled among tall trees situated in the crook of Big Buck Creek and the wild & scenic White Salmon River; Spirit Lodge is just what you’ve been longing for. A soothing environment, inside and out. You’ll see a waterfall across the way, and have access to a wooden bench swing over the river. If you are planning an event or reunion, be sure and check out the Ravens’ Nest as well. Between the two there are accommodations for up to 10 people in the same convenient location. Lots of parking
Come to glorious White Salmon River, and take some quality time to retreat in our beloved Spirit Lodge. Ice cold Big Buck Creek from the nearby melting glaciers of Mt. Adams joins the White Salmon River right here in this cul de sac of three cabins. The Spirit Lodge, The Ravens' Nest and our personal cabin where we live full time. May we suggest you look up the Ravens’ Nest, if you want friends and family to join you in this sacred place. That unit overlooks the river directly. The Ravens’ Nest has a separate bedroom, a conventional toilet, and a regular range, in a newly appointed kitchen. We can accommodate six people there. We also encourage people with children and dogs to book the Ravens Nest. We’d like to hear about your particular dog, only because some dogs are too big or boisterous for these small cabins. We encourage all respectful guests to bring their beloved pet, but we do ask that you leave us $10.00 cash per night for your dog. Here at the Spirit Lodge we offer visitors a brand new “American Leather” Comfort Queen size Sofa Bed that gets rave reviews. We can have it pulled out and made as a bed before you arrive, or you can easily pull it out at your convenience. There's an upper loft with ladder to a double bed, great for the kids or the kids at heart :). We’ve had wonderful reviews, and in honor of the feedback we’ve gotten, we’ve made a few upgrades. This cozy abode now has a new Vermont Casting wood stove that is much more efficient than the oversized cast iron box stove we had last year. People seem to like to prepare food in the kitchen, so we have added a new quick response infrared cooktop unit, and more and better pots and pans. Please make note, the Spirit Lodge has a nicely designed composting toilet. When used correctly it is very clean and has no smell. We ask guests to read the Spirit Lodge Manual. In it are instructions on how to use the composting toilet correctly. We have plenty of parking, a shaded porch and a gas barbeque. You can hear the sound of the creek and the river from inside the Lodge (with the large windows open), and within a few seconds walk you can see it. We provide wireless wifi and cell coverage for our guests. Our user name is worldwind and the password is peace999. Thank you one and all!

  • Outstanding stay at Oma’s place. The Spirit Lodge is a super cozy cabin perfect for a getaway to disconnect from technology and connect to each other! My husband and I had a very relaxing time playing games, taking naps, visiting and going into Hood River a few times. If you go make sure to get the full tour from the incredible hosts and learn the full history of the property. We slept on the pull out which was comfortable but I would suggest bringing a foam pad, a tad hard for me, but that’s just my personal preference. We will be back many times!

Experience the Tiny Home life (without getting rid of your stuff!) Blue #20 is light and airy. It is 8'x22' with queen-sized loft bedroom. Access to loft is via a staircase with lots of storage. The main floor has a sofa bed, kitchen with cooking supplies, and a fridge/freezer. Also has a bathroom with shower, sink, & flushing toilet. Stay one day or many weeks. Perfect place for launching into the Gorge for wineries, weddings, windsports, or visiting friends.
Blue #20 is parked on our property about 20' from our outdoor grilling area and overlooking our trail down to Big Buck Creek. You can see our home, but you most likely won't see us unless we are mowing or grilling. You will have privacy, but you will not be "living off the grid" in isolation. Also, it has a flushable toilet (no composting, no smell!).
We live on an acreage and are surrounded by lumber and government owned property. It is a quiet area. You will see stars in the sky and occasional wildlife.

  • Peaceful, private tiny house on a quiet property in beautiful White Salmon. Masterfully finished to allow for a comfortable bed and couch, with plenty of room for a bathroom and kitchen. Thoughtful touches I appreciated were toiletries provided in the bathroom, some mint tea available, the excellent local recommendations, and little mints left on the bed. We unfortunately didn’t get a chance to meet Lisa but she was very kind and responsive in her messaging, and provided very helpful directions to the property. We’ll absolutely be back!

  • We loved our stay in the tiny house. The location was quite and very relaxing. Lisa’s spot is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the Gorge. The location is close to downtown White Salmon where there are tons of local restaurants and breweries. There was also river access is also very close to the house. We have already recommended the tiny house to friends, and look forward to visiting again soon!

*Perfect COVID-19 escape!* Our clean and private tiny house packs everything you need in one little package! It has a loft for the bed, a full kitchen, dual heating systems, a sitting area with french doors and built-in window seat and a cedar-lined shower. Come experience the simple life in the woods, hearing the birds and wind in the trees from your bed. Great for a digital detox since we don't have wifi! Our 10 acres backs up to lots of open space with trails, creeks and forest roads.
We have created a home for ourselves on our forested 10 acres that expresses our belief in living simply, our respect and love for nature and the importance of community. Our tiny house, the Sweet Pea as we call it, is one example of this. High school students at an alternative school in Portland built the house as a school project, and Scott fine-tuned it to make it a perfect space for one or two (we lived in it comfortably last winter.) It has a lofted queen bed, a full kitchen, a cedar-lined shower, plenty of storage for clothes, etc, and a sitting area with french doors and a built-in window seat. Everything you need in one cozy little package! The french doors and window seat face south and east for great light and ridge and meadow views. You can also sit outside at our patio table and enjoy a sunset dinner. There is a composting outhouse that is about 50 feet behind the tiny house that is just for the Tiny House. We have also recently constructed a new beautiful outdoor shower that lets you rinse off with the best view of the woods. We encourage you to come explore a simple life! As noted above, we do not have wifi, but there is good cellphone reception. For more pictures visit our Instagram at Bubbawood135 Some fine print: -Linens and towels provided - Basic toiletries provided - The bed is reached by a solid, sloped ladder (Kay was able to climb it 9 months pregnant) - The "wet room" shower is cedar-lined (the whole room!) - Small covered front porch for shoes (shoeless tiny home please) - Extra blankets - Drawers and hanging space for clothes - A child could sleep comfortably on the window seat or in a pack n' play. Kitchen Specifics: - Mini fridge and freezer - Toaster - 3 burner gas stove - Coffee and tea supplies - Pots and pans, etc for cooking - Basic spices and olive oil There are chairs and a table outside so you can enjoy your meals overlooking our meadow and watch the evening light play on the ridge opposite the White Salmon River. We also have some lounge chairs for sunning and sipping beverages while watching our deer!
Northwestern park is about 10 minutes from the town White Salmon and 15 minutes from Hood River. It is a wonderful little community of cabins and rural properties that border the White Salmon River and extend up into the hills. The river is a world class destination for whitewater rafting and kayaking (our friends own All Adventures Rafting if you're looking for a great trip, or if you're into keeping it mellow there is a nice trail down the river bank to some dipping spots). We are just 10 minutes from the windsports mecca of the Columbia River Gorge, and surrounded by awesome mountain biking and hiking trails in the Buck Creek and Nestor Peak areas.
  • The Sweet Pea tiny house had everything we needed, all the essentials. Very clean, organized and cozy. The shower was amazing and the view from house spectacular.

  • Great stay for our weekend getaway. Perfectly cozy for two!

  • We loved our mini-retreat in Kay and Scott's tiny home! Right next to gorgeous land, hiking and views. And they were extremely welcoming. Highly recommended!

  • I recommend this home to anyone!!! It was so calm, recharging, fantastical, and beautiful!!

    Amber2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our first tiny home experience was amazing. We were only able to stay for a few hours, but felt like it was a nice retreat. The area is amazingly quiet and dark. Looking up at the stars at night was a highlight for us since we live in the city. Scott and Kay are both very kind and helpful. They provide everything you might need including the details such as bug spray for when you walk the nearby trails :-) If you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and detach, this is the place for sure.

    Diane2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun weekend away at the Sweet Pea! Highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing time with options to explore the land.

    Lydia2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely weekend in the tiny house. The house has everything you need for an unplugged stay. We enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, looking at the stars, and being cozy in the space. The tiny house’s location is great because it feels remote and private, but it’s also a moderately quick drive into nearby White Salmon and Bingen, as well as convenient for accessing hiking trails. Kay, Scott, and Wren were excellent hosts—they were out of town while we were at the tiny house so we didn’t have the pleasure of meeting them in-person, but they were extremely responsive and available via messenger.

    Miwako2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect cabin for a quick weekend getaway for 2.5 people. While super close to Portland, the location is very serene and you get great views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams on the drive in. The directions are super helpful and you should be able to handle the driveway with any decent AWD. The house is well stocked with amenities for cooking and is super comfy. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Thanks again for a memorable cabin stay :)

Located on our organic herb farm, our strawbale cottage w/ private patio is surrounded on all sides by the wild with Mt Hood views. Stay in a hand built piece of art on land brimming with love! This is a rustic setting for those who want to commune with nature. Our farm is off-grid & powered by solar. Hot shower & open-air kitchen in the pavilion May-Oct (see "Winter" restrictions). Composting toilet-Note bathroom is not in the cottage. Low EMF home. Thank you for supporting a small farm!
REFUND FOR NO DOGS: We have a $50 fee built into our cleaning fee for pets (there is no option for pet fees in ABB). If you are NOT bringing a pet, please let us know and we will refund you the $50 at the time of your reservation. WINTER: If booking November through Feb/March, please note that winter conditions can make this inaccessible. However, for snow-shoe access, send me a message (2.5 mile hike in)! Winter bookings will not have "running" water - so no hot shower. If driving access is available we will bring up potable water from our home for cooking, if snowshoeing/snowmobiling in then you will need to filter your own water from snow and bring your own bedding. Note that some of the information following is for our regular season, and some of it will not be correct for a winter booking: This beautiful slice of the Columbia Gorge is in a secluded and rustic setting. -This hand built cottage is made of strawbale wall with lime plaster, sheep's wool insulation in the cedar shake roof. This is a true experience! Views of Mill Creek Valley and Mt Hood in both the cottage and private patio. The cottage does not have a kitchen or bathroom INSIDE, however there is a covered pavilion with (almost) full kitchen, hot shower and composting toilet 100 yard walk away. -Queen bed on main floor of cottage with another queen in the loft. Locally made organic wool/cotton luxurious queen sized beds with all bedding (All of our bedding gets washed every time, so no bedspreads that see multiple users between washes. We use environmentally sound cleaning products.) *see restrictions of winter bookings - Hot water shower in our pavilion. (shower shared May - Sept) - Kitchen with grill, cook stove, small refrigerator, dishes/flatware, pots. Propane is provided. Kitchen facility is shared May - Sept. -Refreshing & delicious well water. - Cottage guests have sole access to a Sunmar Composting Toilet at the barn. Shared spaces include the pavilion with kitchen and shower. -Both the cottage and pavilion run completely on solar power. -If you prefer to check in before 5pm, send me a message and I can often accommodate early arrivals. - Dog bed provided for your furry friend. - If you are looking to book for a group, we have 2 tipis and a cottage! Rent the whole space. See our other listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34149863?s=67&shared_item_type=1&virality_entry_point=1&sharer_id=29004390 A few things: *Well behaved pets are welcome! *Even though we are in the Pacific Northwest, it is very dry here in the summer, and campfires are banned by law during the months of May - Oct. *We are a working farm. This means that occasionally we have equipment running in the early morning. So far, due to the location of the cottage and the direction the wind blows, this hasn't disturbed anyone yet. You are welcome to ask questions about our farm, and poke around. *Although our location is wild and remote, we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown White Salmon, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, and supplies. We recommend bringing flashlights and headlamps. There are two tipis & a cottage located on our farm, but they are secluded from one another so you will feel as if you have the place to yourself. *The road here is bumpy, steep and not suitable for vehicles with low suspension. There is no residence at the farm, so if you are a solo traveler and uncomfortable with staying alone, then this is not a good fit. Not trying to sound scary, just want to provide as much info as possible for happy travelers :) We look forward to meeting you!
15 minute drive to White Salmon, WA. Or cross the bridge (another 5 minutes drive) to Hood River, OR. We are approximately 1.25 hours from Portland. Uber does not service this area.
  • We thought this place was unique and full of character! Definitely rugged during the winter, but still has such sweet charm! Ideal for a solo retreat or a couples getaway 😍 Talia and Dave are incredible hosts! They go above and beyond to insure you’re comfortable AND enjoying yourself. The space was neat, but their hospitality was incredible and was what made the trip, for us.

    Madison2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Each trip to Talia, Dave & Co.’s property is even more magical than the last. This was our third trip- the first two times were. staying in the tipis in summer. This stay in early March in the cozy cottage Dave crafted was AMAZING. It’s truly a magical place of serenity in the forest. The sky was so clear at night, it shown the full moon and Venus, so brightly. Twas beautiful in the night and day. The propane heater in the cottage was incredible and made it so cozy- our dog loved laying by “the fire” too and joyfully bounding about outside. We also appreciated the nearby composting potty house. My fav new addition to the kitchen (especially in winter)was the electric tea kettle for hot water, that was so helpful cooking, cleaning and being outside in the cold. Such a great family space, up a long unpaved road, in the most beautiful area and hosted by the kindest stewards of the land. Can’t wait to visit again.

    Kristi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this quiet, magical place for a retreat from the stress of daily life; it's a complete reset in the forest. There are so many thoughtful, handmade touches that make you feel well taken care of while also feeling removed and remote from civilization. It's a perfect balance.

    Lauren2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beyond my dreams perfect. I was looking for a 5 day retreat as far away from city life as possible... no cars, people, or lights... to reset my nervous system and reconnect with nature. I had no idea how truly remote this would be until I got there, but for me that was just what I longed for! Settling into the cottage in that cozy comfy bed looking out at the view of misty mountainous valley, a blanket of stars above... I thought I had died and gone straight to heaven, truly. This place is pure magic for the right person. I have dreams of living in a strawbale home some day too... there is something so magical about being in these structures! The kitchen is an outdoor one, so it’s kind of like glamping. It’s down a long mountainous off-road kind of road where 4WD is a good idea. But if you don’t mind these aspects, it’s a rare and unique gem of a place, one that that I almost don’t want to share with anyone else ; ) except for the fact that I also fell in love with the family that built and host this place! They are the sweetest salt of the earth folks, the kind you want to see thrive and be well supported. So know that when you stay there you are supporting amazing people who give their heart and soul to everything they do! I couldn’t wait to come back from the moment I arrived.

  • Warm cozy unique hobbit-like home. The tippis were so fun and the outdoor spaces enjoyable. The owners were readily available for any needs or questions and they left a hand-written welcome note accompanied with home-made organic chapstick. Will definitely stay again.

  • Amazing place to relax

    David2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable, cozy, clean space!! The cottage is thoughtfully crafted an decorated, the bed was so comfy, and the panoramic views those huge windows offer was amazing! Trees are right next to the windows, so we got to watch squirrels and birds from inches away. The outdoor kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and we were able to enjoy a few meals by the fire pit while we watched the fog roll in. A perfect space to give yourself the opportunity to relax and do nothing - a reminder of the exhale and pause that winter allows us.

    Olivia2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The strawbale cottage is such a dreamy getaway. Talia was so easy to communicate with, and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back!!

This little house started life as a woodworking shop. When we outgrew it, we made it into a guest house. It may be imperfect, but it's perfectly adorable. We have a peek of Mt. Hood from the yard and lovely territorial views. At night, you can enjoy the beauty of a Milky Way sky far from city light pollution. Come. Enjoy. Relax. NOTE: I sometimes make exceptions to "No Pets" with conditions. Please ask before booking. No smoking in the house. More important details the "The space" section.
LOCATION Situated on five acres near the main house, in a quiet rural neighborhood, this bright, cheery space is about 10 minutes, (5.5 miles) from White Salmon's charming pubs, restaurants, shops, and grocery. Hood River is about 20 minutes (10 miles) away - just a short hop across the Hood River toll bridge ($2). It's a restful country retreat or a practical home-base for your Gorge adventures or business travel. It's a quiet spot great for relaxing and as a home-base for Gorge adventures, but if you want to be in the thick of things, it's probably not the best choice. LAYOUT The house consists of two large rooms with a connecting open doorway. One side includes the living and dining areas, and kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, and electric oven and stove. The second side contains the sleeping area, bathroom, and closet/laundry. The sleeping area has a queen bed, small dresser, bedside stand, and curtain which allows for bedroom privacy while maintaining bathroom access for all. There is no door on the bedroom which may not be ideal for those with infants, small children, or snoring issues. The floors are laminate, ceramic, and vinyl composite tile. Please note: We have light-filtering curtains on all of the windows. If you require a dark bedroom during daylight hours, you may be happier with a different place to stay. BEDS Although the space is ideal for 2 people sharing the queen-size bed. A second queen-size bed or two single cot frames with mattresses will be set-up in the dining area upon request. Extra beds are stowed by default. For infants, we have a Pack 'n Play with a full-size removable bassinet. Please let us know your needs before arriving so we can have everything in place for you. (Please also see the layout notes.) NATURE You may hear coyotes at night or doves cooing in the trees. Nature is all around us. If the sight of a daddy-long-legs fills you with fright, best not stay here. PLEASE ASK US! If you want something specific, please ask. We'll do our best to accommodate. We want you to have a stress-free stay. If you arrive and realize that you forgot to make a request, whether for bed set-up, an additional guest, or any other detail, don't hesitate to let us know. Give us an opportunity to be helpful. We like doing that!
HERE This is a rural property with a gravel driveway. No manicured lawns here. We are in an area of 5 to 20-acre forested and grassland lots. It's usually very quiet, but once in a while, you can hear children playing or the occasional radio when someone is entertaining themselves outside. THERE A lot of folks bike our county roads, though many of the local roads don't have much of a shoulder. There are several area trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. WE CARE We hope you choose to stay here because you enjoy being out in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of town. We want you to enjoy the location as much as we do. If you're unsure about distance or driving time to a specific place or event, ask us. We'll gladly provide information.
  • Katie is an AMAZING host. You feel like home and well cared for. The little house on the hill is very clean and she has thought of everything in regards to things you may need during your stay. Cute little getaway, and not far at all from things like hood river etc. Plus you get to enjoy the country as well as the gorgeous stars at night! Well priced and such a great host!

    Michelle2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space!! Katie was quick with information and The Little House had everything I needed! Please take their note about the location being outside of White Salmon serious! My friend’s wedding weekend was in Hood River and it was a solid 30 minutes due to the winding roads...BUT....it was worth it to see the beautiful scenery and all of the deer each morning. :)

    Nicole2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's space was terrific. Clean, spacious, useful, and with great views, too. Everything was seamless and her attention to detail made for a great stay.

  • Katie’s place was lovely, great spacey rooms, washer and dryer that was so helpful after being on the road for over a week! Katie was a lovely lady, very hospitable. The views were lovely and the night sky was fantastic for an amateur stargazer! Downtown Hood River is a must see with plenty of shops and individual boutiques. It’s a very arty town with Iots of galleries!

  • Thanks so much for a wonderful stay! It was so nice to have so much space in our own building. The kitchen was very well equipped, though we didn't use it except for the wine opener. Beautiful location and an easy place to stay!

    Mackenzie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • After leaving this place, drive east and down to river, you will find a stunning view of Gorge!

    Xuewei2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I booked 5 nights and loved it. This is a great getaway to escape and enjoy the rural community. It's about 10 minutes from down town White Salmon and and a little longer to down town Hood River. We enjoyed the place and easily visited town each day. For coffee lovers like us she had a very nice selection and a good coffee maker. The place was very clean and everything was well marked and labeled for us. She also had Netflix and Amazon prime which is a step up from a hotel. Katie was a great host and responded to any request we had very soon.

Located within walking distance of the beautiful White Salmon River. Our cabin is a modern A-frame with everything you need for a quiet and relaxing getaway. 4 people max (truly best for 1 couple or 2 adults with 1-2 kids). We do not recommend 4 adults since it will feel pretty tight. IMPORTANT: we have just ONE parking spot for Air Bnb guests so if you need to come in more than one car we aren't a good fit. Well-behaved dogs okay with advance notice.
Our 850 square foot cabin in the woods is cozy but very open. The main floor has one bedroom (queen bed), full bath (+ washer/dryer), kitchen, wood stove and couch (pulls out to a full size bed). The loft (access by ladder) is furnished with a full size bed and a big comfy chair that is perfect for curling up with a good book. You pass through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom so our cabin is probably best for families or close friends :-). Our kitchen is stocked with all the tools you need to make delicious meals or enjoy the gas grill on the front deck. We love our vintage 1950s stove (she's old so please treat her nicely). We have a full size fridge and farmhouse sink. We have WiFi and the cabin receives most cell service. In the cool months, the cabin comes stocked with plenty of firewood, but you may need to channel your inner Paul Bunyan and do a little chopping (we have axes and hatchets for you to use). Also, you might want to brush up on your wood stove/fire making skills. We provide everything you need (newspaper, etc) to build a nice fire and the cabin warms up quickly. The cabin does not have A/C (most of the cabins in the area do not) and it can get warm in the summer months. We have several fans that cool the place down and the breeze from the river is pleasant in the evening. A reminder that we have just ONE parking spot so if you need to come in more than one car we are not a good fit.
If you enjoy the rushing sounds of a Wild & Scenic River then our cabin will be heaven. Our cabin was once on the banks of Northwestern Lake which was drained after the removal of Condit Dam in 2011. The former lakebed, outside our front windows, has been transformed into a meadow and is gradually returning with native grasses and plants. Out the front door are also riverside hiking trails as well as the kayak/raft take out at Northwestern Park. In the spring/summer there's nothing more thrilling than a raft trip with one of the outfitters in Husum or BZ Corner just a few miles up the road (we are partial to Wet Planet but they are all great). Trout Lake is 25 minutes away and is the gateway to Mt. Adams and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest (much less crowded than Mt. Hood). We are within easy driving distance to so much that makes the Columbia River Gorge a stunning vacation destination: wineries, breweries, cideries, waterfall and wildflower hikes, bald eagle watching, winter sports, windsurfing, and meandering on some of the countries most beautiful back roads.
  • Darling cabin close to activities and beautiful scenery!

    Holley2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's cabin was the perfect weekend getaway location in the gorge for my partner and me. The cabin is a good size for two people and a great jumping off point for hanging out in White Salmon and squeezing in some hikes. The host was super responsive and thoughtful and seemed to care a lot about the quality of our trip. We had an incredible time getting the wood fire going and exploring the extensive tape collection on a chilly February evening. Speaking of which, the vintage cassette tape deck set up is not to be missed if, like me, you are a huge nerd for 70's Marantz setups and/or tape decks. I brought a few tapes with me but no worries - their collection does indeed slap and provided a lot of enjoyment. Would recommend to friends!

    Luke2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stephanie's place is beautiful, comfortable, and so well thought out. The cabin had everything we could think of and even the things we would have never realized we needed. The location has the secluded feel you want when renting a cabin on the river, but is also just a short drive to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

  • The perfect palce to relax and kick back

    Andrew2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had such a wonderful time staying here. The house was very tidy and clean. I loved the vintage stove, which was very easy to use! And we also really enjoyed listening to Stephanie’s collection of cassettes. We will definitely be back!

    Lola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We came to the cabin with our best friends, and it was the perfect getaway for a beautiful, secluded place with a comfortable, fashionable feel with a great remodel job and a wood fireplace. We stayed in the top part, the besties stayed in the room. Great experience all around! We all would absolutely stay again!

    Jessica2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is the best Airbnb around! Stephanie, the host, is a wonderful communicator and has provided absolutely everything you might need. This place is just close enough to the city to be convenient, and far enough away to give you piece of mind. I would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and adventurous retreat.

    Tristan2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We've been raving to all our friends about this adorable cabin and our perfect mini vacation in White Salmon! We spent just a few days to celebrate Christmas and we had everything we wanted; seclusion without being too far from town, cabin feel but with all the comforts of home, trails for hiking right out the front door, dog friendly, cozy, and priced so well! We'll definitely be going back!

My place is close to family-friendly activities, great views, kayaking, fishing, rafting, hiking. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, XC skiing near by and families (with kids). PLEASE BE ADVISED: Daylight check in required! We will not be available for showing you the way in the dark. This is a heavily forested area that can be challenging to navigate in the dark. We have unleashed dogs that are extremely friendly. Winter does not allow shower or running water. Happy trails!
We are tucked in the woods, only 12 miles from Hood River. You will be surrounded by wildlife as well as domesticated animals. We have very friendly dogs, Quilla and Griffin that will greet you. They are off leash at all times and extremely friendly. However, if you are timid of dogs, this would not be a good fit. Our yurt offers you a Glamping (glamorous camping) experience. We hope you will find just what you need to be comfortable. Winter months do not allow shower or water amenities. February- October, bring shower shoes and a robe for outdoor shower!! If you book in the winter, please be advised it will be like dry camping- bring your own wood and water. Keep in mind that this is still considered camping. Although comfortable, please don't expect it to have all the luxuries of a home. Bring some cozy slippers to keep your feet warm as we prefer to minimize the impact by leaving shoes at the door. Bring your own water or jugs to fill and haul like you would at any dry camp site.
You can howl and scream as loud as you want!! We live in the woods. Some would say in the Deep woods! It's a dirt road to our house and although the county does care for it during winter months, you will need AWD to even make it up our driveway. We have a great proximity to Mount Adams. There are plenty of trails and fun winter sports to do up there including cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Please be advised, we cannot offer you a warm shower during winter months. You need to be OK with roughing it a little bit :-) also, we are parents to two very small children. Out of respect for their bedtimes as well as the neighborhood we ask that guests arrive during daylight hours. We have provided early check in hours. We will not be able to assist you past dark for your arrival. The area is too challenging for you to navigate on your own in the late night. We want you to safely see the area and have a wonderful time. There is a wooden round house about 75 feet from the yurt that is occupied. The tenant there is extremely respectful of guests and will be available to assist with guest needs. Expect a burn ban to be in effect as of July 1 until usually October 1. The county does not allow any fires of any sort.
  • If you are looking for a simple peaceful experience, this is your place. You will have everything you need here. It's very comfortable, cozy, and although you are only 20 minutes from town, you feel very tucked away. All the animals are sweet and Kathryn and her family were very friendly. Kathryn does a great job with details on what to expect, so there were no surprises. Communication was great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will be back. Thank you.

  • Fun little yurt in the woods! We loved the pups who kindly showed us the way to our yurt. Great “glamping” experience for my brother in law who had never been camping.

    Haley2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed it!

    Blair2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The wife and I are used to tent camping, so staying in the yurt was very cozy and dry during a wet weekend. The location was great, too, close to many hikes for viewing waterfalls and several local breweries. Kathryn was always quick to respond via text and check-in was a breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

    James2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We were attending a wedding at the Tin Roof barn, this location was just a short 5 min drive. The yurt was extremely well kept, one of the most comfortable beds, and so quiet and peaceful. They even have a fairly comprehensive collection of maps, books, local venues in the area should you find yourself looking for adventures. Would highly recommend staying here! Host are amazing, property is amazing, and overall a great experience. Thanks for having us!

This is nearly 100 year old cabin in the woods on the White Salmon river. Cabin 20 is the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. It is rustic but has all the amenities of modern home. It is light filled and cozy. There is a loft with a queen futon and 2 twin beds. There is a full sized bed in the downstairs(it is open plan). The kitchen is large and great for cooking. There are 2 eating areas inside and 3rd outside on the deck. The views are beautiful from all points inside the cabin. It is a short walk from the rafting pullout for world class white water rafting. There are several rafting companies just up the road in Husum. Trail heads are short walk from the front door. The great thing about Cabin 20 is that it feels remote but its near to everything: White Salmon, Hood River, Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, wineries, horseback riding, rafting, hiking, kayaking, fishing, wind surfing. biking, berry picking (summer), snow sports/play (winter). I enjoy all of it but my favorite thing to do is to sit on the deck and read and bird watch. It is a really special place....
Our cabin sits in a cluster of 5 cabins. It is quite and once you are settled in you barely notice our neighbors. Most are not occupied full time. There are hiking trails near by. We are very near the rafting pull out for white water rafting on the White Salmon river. We are about 35 min to Mt Hood Meadows ski resort. The cabin is 12 min drive to White Salmon and 15 or so to Hood River.
  • Snowzie's cabin was incredible!! It was close to trails and the river. She has it decorated super cute and homey making for a very cozy weekend! She also has all the amenities one could ask for. Cooking in that awesome kitchen was easy and inviting. I would highly recommend!

    Stephanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • 2nd time staying at Snowzies place. I had a really lovely and comfortable visit again. The neighbors are very close and the walls are a bit thin for playing a some music. The neighbors will complain. But otherwise it was nice time.

    Madeleine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Snowzie’s cabin was just what was needed- A quiet cabin in the woods, next to a roaring river, nestled in fog one minute and alive with sunshine the next. I arrived worn down by work and left with my senses rejuvenated. The whole family loved it and we can’t wait to come back.

    Daniel2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was the best little spot to cozy up for our girls weekend of wine drinking, snowboarding, and relaxing! We loved the decor, which is vintage but trendy with ease. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and spices, as well as easy to navigate when we cooked meals before and after days exploring the town or skiing at Mt. Hood Meadows! A couple of us worked on our fire building skills and really loved the feel of a hearty wood stove. White Salmon has a lovely charm, cute restaurants and easy to access Hood River destinations too. We are already wanting to book another trip to the cabin in the spring or summer. Thank you Snowzie for allowing us to share your perfect space!

    Kennedy2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Snowzie’s cabin is exactly as expected. It’s beyond charming in all the best ways. It’s very secluded. There are a few other cabins very close by, but somehow you don’t even notice. It was indeed very cold. I read the reviews early on and came with layers and prepared. Follow her instructions meticulously on starting the wood stove. If you do this, you will have it up and running quickly and it will keep that little cabin nice and cozy. I did not realize it was so close to (almost on it) the river which was a very pleasant surprise. You can listen to the water from the back porch. The trail along the river is lovely and just beautiful to walk. It is a little further away from White Salmon than I expected, but that didn’t bother me. Just be prepared if you are arriving after dark. It’s a bit windy and dark. We can’t wait to go back and will likely do so in the fall after doing it in the winter this time.

    Roni2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful and calming. A great spot to explore Mt. Adams or Mt. Hood. We loved our winter stay in this adorable cabin in the woods.

    Lauren2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 5 amazing days in this nice cabin in the woods next to mountain river. The place is very well equipped: we found everything we needed during our stay. The central piece of the cabin is danish wooden stove, Morsø, that kept us warm and cozy. Great place and fantastic vacation.

We are on a private road, but we do have neighbors close by, so we appreciate your respect for them. Quiet hours start at 10pm. Even though we are very secluded, sound still travels down the road.
  • We were instantly charmed by The Klickitat Treehouse! Taryn and Colin have crafted a truly unique experience. To live within and surrounded by the trees is pure magic. We fell asleep to the sounds of the forest and woke to a picturesque view of Mt. Adams out our window. We were happy to spend the entire day cozied up inside, admiring the thoughtfully designed home. Stylish simplicity with the emphasis of nature in mind. The kitchen is curated and equipped with everything you need to cook a great dinner. The open interiors capture the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding forest. Quick communication, clear instructions and great proximity to White Salmon and Hood River. Highly recommend, we will be back!

**Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. ** A one bedroom apartment and extra sleeping loft, this unit sleeps four. This duplex on the former golf course, is right across the highway from the White Salmon River. Just half a mile to rafting rentals, cafe and grill (open end of May through September, based on river conditions), and 7 miles (ten minutes) to downtown White Salmon. Centrally located for exploring the Gorge!
This ground floor unit has a spacious, open feel, with a view of Mt. Adams. The bedroom has a queen size bed, and the sleeping loft has a double bed (accessible by ladder). The kitchen is stocked with all the basics for cooking (plus coffee and tea). For larger groups of up to 6, consider renting the upstairs studio as well, which sleeps two (listing is https://www.airbnb.com/h/river-rafters-delight-upstairs ). For extended stays, the laundry room can be made available to you. We have guidebooks to suggest a myriad of activities in every direction! Husum is a great central location. This is a duplex, with one rental upstairs and another downstairs. Each unit has their own separate entrances on opposite sides of the building, plus their own private patios - no shared spaces except the laundry room. Although the golf course is no longer functioning, you can still take a walk or jog on the grounds.
The little community of Husum on the White Salmon River has rafting and kayaking establishments if you want to check out the river. Wet Planet Rafting also has a grill open from May to October (hours vary seasonally) and an espresso bar with gift shop that opens most mornings at 8 if you want to pick up a muffin. Continuing up the highway, through forests and pasture land, is BZ Corner with a mini market and the BZ Corner Launch Site for accessing the White Salmon river. Conboy Nature Preserve is a few miles further on, a place to see elk and birds. Trout Lake then leads you to Mt. Adams (and some great winter snow shoeing trails!) Of course, heading back down river is the town of White Salmon with everything you need and want: groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, shops, library, hospital. And Hood River is right across the toll bridge. Check out their waterfront park!
  • This was perfect for our family of 4! The location was great, just outside of White Salmon but not far from Trout Lake either (and snow, in our case). The space was comfortable and cozy without feeling cramped, and the little kitchenette was perfect for a few home-cooked meals in. This little place comes highly recommended, and we're falling in love with White Salmon in general (try the Bakery and Everybody's Brewing in town while you're here!).

  • Teresa's place was AMAZING! Not far from downtown White Salmon, a 20 minute drive to Spirit falls hike, and on the most beautiful road, tucked safely away. The place was super clean and gorgeous; a perfect getaway for a girls weekend (the intent of my trip), a romantic getaway, or just to disconnect and unwind. The inside was spectacular, my friend and I didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend a stay at Teresa's place, I know I will be going back for another trip!

  • We have stayed in several Air B & Bs and this was far and away the best one we have ever stayed in. It was super clean throughout, very comfortable furniture and beds. The kitchen has every appliance you could think of and all were quality products. Heat and Air Conditioner work great, and it has a very nice washer and dryer. The house is toward the end of the road that its on and practically no traffic up there. It has a wonderful and very large cement patio with a picnic table that would seat eight to ten. I also has a double wide car port. We used the beds and my son slept on the sectional sofa and we all were very comfortable. I can happily recommend this home and given the opportunity would happily stay there again.

  • Steve was very responsive and helpful. His place looked good in the pictures, but was even better in person. It is a beautiful space with all the amenities and an amazing view of the stars at night. Having a washer and dryer was a huge help. The whole experience far exceeded my expectations!

Located on a mountaintop, our tipis are surrounded on all sides by the wild. Private patio facing our organic herb farm. Wonderful views including Mt Hood, the 18' tipis offer comfort and solitude. Fully furnished tipi offers a glamping experience. This is a rustic setting, perfect for those who want to commune with nature. Our farm is off-grid and powered by solar. Hot shower and open-air kitchen in the shared pavilion. When you book with us, you are supporting a small farm. Thank you!
This beautiful slice of the Columbia Gorge is in a secluded and rustic setting. -Locally made organic wool/cotton luxurious queen sized bed with all bedding (All of our bedding gets washed every time, so no bedspreads that see multiple users between washes. We use environmentally sound cleaning products.) - Hot water shower in our pavilion. -Communal kitchen with grill, cook stove, toaster oven, refrigerator, dishes/flatware, pots. Propane is provided. (no oven) -Refreshing well water. - Toilets are honey pots that are pumped weekly. -Power at the pavilion. Enjoy nature's light from the moon and stars (i.e. there is no electricity in the tipis). -If you prefer to check in before 5pm, send me a message and I can often accommodate early arrivals. - Dog bed provided for your furry friend. - If you are looking to book for a group, we have 2 tipis and a cottage! Rent the whole space here: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/34149863?s=51 OR See our other listing: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14317271?s=51 A few things: *Tipis, by their nature, are impossible to proof against pests. Critters will likely be joining you during your stay, including chipmunks, lizards and mice. We do what we can to deter them from taking up residence inside the tipis including scented mice packs (made with organic peppermint oil), bringing our cat with us during cleaning, and even trapping if we have to. But if you have a phobia, or even a great dislike, for these creatures you will not be comfortable here. We want our guests to have the best possible time! *Well behaved pets are welcome! *Even though we are in the Pacific Northwest, it is very dry here in the summer, and campfires are banned by law during the months of May - Oct. *We are a working farm. This means that occasionally we have equipment running in the early morning. So far, due to the location of the tipis and the direction the wind blows, this hasn't disturbed anyone yet. You are welcome to ask questions about our farm, and poke around. *Although our location is wild and remote, we are only a 20 minute drive to downtown White Salmon, where you can find restaurants, grocery stores, and supplies. We ask that you keep food in a cooler in your vehicle to reduce bear traffic and for your safety. We also recommend bringing flashlights and headlamps. There are two tipis & a cottage located on our farm, but they are secluded from one another so you will feel as if you have the place to yourself. *The road here is bumpy, steep and not suitable for vehicles with low suspension. There is no residence at the farm, so if you are a solo traveler and uncomfortable with camping alone, then this is not a good fit.
  • We absolutely loved our stay at the Good Medicine tipi. While it was a chilly night, we were able to stay warm with food made over the grill and tea by the fire. Talia was a gracious host and brought us extra blankets and a space heater for the tipi as well. The tipi was cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was a peaceful escape that felt both intimate and spacious, with gorgeous views. We are already planning a trip back next summer!

    Alexandra2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot to stay and get away from it all.

    Douglas2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a sweet time here! We ended up switching from the tipi to the cottage because it was *magically* unoccupied, and i think we had a significantly more cozy time because of it. The tipi was lovely but in the beginning of fall you cant beat an earthen cottage on a hill overlooking sunny oak trees. SO beautiful! It was a little chilly in there already, so im not sure how it would be during winter, but i bet they have a plan for that. Anyway, I felt silly asking to switch but Talia was so gracious and sweet about it. She was very responsive and communicative in general. Also we really appreciated the lovely tea she left us. <3 The outdoor kitchen and shower were just great, and we loved the many hammock options. We basically had the land to ourselves for 2 days, which was super cool. Definitely a good place for solitude. The one bummer was that there was some logging or construction going on down in the valley, and it kinda echoed far and wide, but what are you gonna do? (come on a weekend i guess and you probably wont experience that). The road up to the farm was rough, as described, but if my beat up 2004 VW Beetle made it, you can too. I wouldnt have wanted to be coming and going up that though. But we had no reason to go anywhere once we were there. Note- when you are driving up the road you will see a LOT of poison oak, but dont freak out if you are allergic, there is really hardly any once you get to the farm.

    Zoe2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • These tipis are absolutely darling and this late September weekend was wonderful! - very secluded and you’ll have all of the privacy you need - hot and clean shower area; cutest set up ever - close to grocery shopping; Talia has a shared refrigerator at the pavilion and an electric kettle (electric outlets in the kitchen area) - wild turkeys walking about in the morning and so many stars at night If you’re on the fence about this camping experience, please know it’s very clean, safe and ... I slept 9 hours last night in mine!

    Shannon2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing place! You are completely submerged in nature. The tipi is super comfy and such a cool experience. You definitely should go!

    Cori2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem of a place! Gorgeous views, privacy, comfort, and a common area that is thoughtfully appointed, relaxing, clean and just perfect. Actually, Talia's description doesn't do this place justice. A must stay place in the Gorge.

Beautiful brand new custom Columbia River Gorge home. It sits in the Husum valley above a family ranch with sweeping views of Mt. Hood. You'll likely see elk, turkeys, and horses. You'll find peace here where you can't see another house yet are still within a short drive to Hood River/White Salmon.
The whole home is yours enjoy the wrap-around porch to BBQ and enjoy the evening sunset. Kick up your feet outside on the Black Walnut Bar while sipping cocktails. Then finish off the evening in the extra large clawfoot bathtub big enough for two. We built the home to act as a launchpad. While you are here it's peaceful and quiet. It's at the heart of all the outdoor activities you can imagine. It's perfect for a couple trying to get away and spend quality together. A great place to come back to after wine tasting to catch that special sunset. A family looking to get away from that busy city life will cherish their time spent here. With two beds in the children's room you're set. We have all the family games you can ask for for. Even toy's in the 2nd bedroom for the kids to play with. It's the perfect place to come back to after attending that destination wedding in the gorge. Have a cup of coffee & farm fresh eggs (in season) on us for breakfast and we'll even provide the hamburgers and hot dogs for the BBQ. We keep the fridge stocked with condiments so you don't have to.
15 minutes from downtown hood river/White Salmon. Winerys, Mtn Biking, kite boarding, 1/2 mile from the White Salmon river with rafting and kayaking. 45 minutes from Mount Hood Meadows ski area and 20 minutes from Trout Lake and Cross Country Skiing. You can Ride your bike to the Buck Creek/Nestor Peak trail systems.
  • Wow! That view! Beautiful modern yet rustic cabin, overlooking a beautiful valley. We woke up to layers of fog rolling in over the evergreens, and a big group of wild turkeys outside the window. We saw rainbows, and although it's still winter, Mt. Hood decided to shows itself for a while. Big enough to comfortably entertain. I loved the well stocked, modern kitchen. We cooked 2 meals from scratch. Jake provided local beef, and a bottle of wine. And the claw foot tub was so relaxing. This cabin is so close to many hikes and waterfalls too. We definitely hope to come back with some more people. You will not be disappointed.

  • Great spot off the beaten path

    George2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing find! The Launchpad is nestled in the hills, overlooking a misty valley. The home itself is beautiful; although you could call it a rugged cabin, it's a modern home as well, complete with a giant clawfoot tub, kids room with bunkbeds (if you need it), and stocked kitchen with all the amenities. The master bedroom takes up the entire second floor, nicely set away from the family area. I loved sitting on the porch in front of the fire pit, listening to the mooing cows echoing up through the valley. This is a great place for a relaxing retreat, with or without a family in tow. Thank you Jacob!

  • What an easy transition into the cabin. Beautiful spot, we felt welcome and comfortable. The view in the morning was a very nice surprise! Thanks

    Cindy2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful, clean and cozy home. The master bed was especially comfortable and the sheets were super soft. The host is fast to respond to questions and very helpful. The house had an electric wine opener which was helpful since we forgot ours. Our weather was pretty bad but the house had lots of t.v. options, an Echo for easy access to all sorts of music and some games. Also, even though it was pretty cloudy, there were times of really beautiful night skies since the space is so wide open here. Highly recommended.

    Kim2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at this cozy cabin. Beautiful view of Hood, everything we needed in the kitchen, quiet and private. The kids loved seeing the cows and turkeys every each day and Jacob was thoughtful and helpful with everything we needed. Thanks for a great weekend!

  • This cabin has a million dollar view of Mt Hood! The setting is beautiful and very peaceful and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. The front porch was very comfortable with lots of seating and a gas fire pit, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Jacob was a great host, providing coffee, eggs and elk burgers-which were delicious! We highly recommend a stay here!

    Barb2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a find this cabin is, nestled high on a beautiful piece of property with every detail well taken care of. It’s very private with a well equipped kitchen and dining areas, a comfortable living space and a fire table on the porch so even in the rain you can enjoy the perfect outdoor lounging area. The host was very communicative and available by phone but the cabin itself is very private high on another end of the farm. They really thought of everything. Oh yes and the views can’t be beat! White Salmon has a small and cute little town, you can easily get to Hood River, explore the Gorge or do some amazing hiking to more secluded falls in the area. We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!

  • The cabin was a large and comfortable and clean. It was fun checking out the historic diner and we enjoyed the live music that was playing that night. Despite the proximity to the restaurant The cabin was quiet and we had a restful sleep. Though a little bit out of the way the cabins are in a fun area with waterfalls nearby. We would definitely stay here again

  • This is a quaint and very chill cabin to stay a few days. Excellent value for money. Would highly recommend!

  • Charming, quiet, dark with amazing stargazing! A great place to unplug and relax. Bob was a stellar host and great conversationalist, while still allowing us privacy. He encouraged us to explore the whole property - we especially enjoyed a glass of wine up in the treehouse :) The cabin is larger than it appears in the pictures. Nice little touches, like coffee and tea, oatmeal, etc. We brought our own food as the cabin is not too close to town and we didn’t want to drive anywhere anyway! It was a lovely, cozy getaway for me and my partner. Highly recommend if your goal is to unplug and enjoy the peace and quiet.

  • Wonderful rustic place in a very rural area. It was perfect for us. Great "little house" experience.

  • Delightful place. Felt like we were staying in an enchanted forest.

    Joan2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful retreat outside of White Salmon, deep in the forest and full of beauty and serenity yet close enough to town and trails for day trips and adventuring. Lois & Bob have done a marvelous job of designing the She Shed and landscaping the surroundings to ensure a pleasant stay. The Shed has all the basics, including a comfortable bed, warm shower, utensils and dishes, refrigerator and outdoor grill. Since the place is located about 10 miles away from White Salmon, I recommend stocking up on food and drinks and settling in to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. Finally, Bob & Lois are excellent hosts, offering lots of tips on hiking trails, the local flora and fauna, and scintillating and warm-hearted conversation; but they also respect privacy and the need for quiet, so they provide ample space to unwind, read, or simply enjoy the scenery.

Their property is very quaint and peaceful. It's great value for your money as its location is perfect for exploring the columbia gorge and all its activities. We hope to be back again!

  • Matt & Micki’s cabin was more than we could have asked for. The pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin itself was very clean and spacious. My husband, 3 year old daughter and I stayed there. It was very kid friendly and safe even with it being a loft. It had great attention to detail. The farm is what does it. The property is absolutely beautiful. We were met by Micki who took us for a tour of the farm. She let me daughter pet the alpaca’s which was really cool. They have two very friendly dogs that were great and a 3 cats. My daughter loved every minute of it. Matt & Micki were great host and very easy to communicate with. Can wait to stay there again.

  • HIGHLY recommend this cabin, the pictures don’t do it justice. Beautiful setting, coffee/fruit/snacks/games included, and we so enjoyed being around all the animals. We plan to visit again!

  • Matt and Micki’s place was a phenomenal choice for a perfect getaway weekend! From the communication prior to the trip to the ease of checking out this place has everything you need! The queen beds were very comfortable, and the space was beautifully designed. We appreciated the hot tub as well as the fire stove since it got a bit chilly out in the evening. Even the small touches such as the s’mores pack, the pears and the extra towels, these were nothing short of amazing hosts. Also, they recommended a local place called Chips for dinner (must be 21+) for the most delectable brisket that I for one will definitely be back for! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
