If your looking for peace and surrenity, then look no further. This beautiful, cozy one bedroom attached apartment is the perfect escape. Full eat in kitchen , access to patio and bbq, living-room with flat screen t.v & electric fireplace, queen size bed, full bathroom, access to fire pit in back yard with beautiful ocean view. Walking distance to the marina and other local attractions and shopping. We also offer ocean boat tours/fishing trips/&home cooked meals for a fee.
Baie Verte is a beautiful, oceanside community in the northern/central part of Newfoundland on the senic Baie Verte Peninsula. The Baie Verte peninsula is known for its mining history. Baie Verte hosts a very intriguing miners museum and just a short distance from Baie Verte on the Fluer De Lys Highway you can view the site of the old Advacate asbestos mines. Also, not far from Baie Verte, we have two gold and copper producing mines. In the small town of Fluer De Lys you can also admire the Inuit soap stone museum featuring ancient Inuit artifacts. Many people come from far and wide to see the Fluer De Lys Soap Stone Museum each year. Also, only 45 minute drive away in the scenic town of LaScie there is a lovely Newfoundland museum and tearoom that serves traditional Newfoundland food daily during the summer months. Also, from Fleur De Lys or LaScie you might be sure to spot an iceberg or two. On your way to LaScie, why not stop in to see the smallest town in all of Canada. That is the town of just two residence called Tilt Cove. Enjoy the small museum and purchase a handmade craft. Tilt Cove was also at one time a bussling mining town. See reminence of the old mines and at the museum you can view photos and other remnants of days gone by. Also, only about 35 minutes away is Burlington which each year host "The Gathering". This is an event that you would not want to miss with famous chefs, musicians and performers from all across Newfoundland and Canada. The Gathering was founded by famous comedian/actor and Burlington's own Shawn Majunder. Also, only about 35 minute drive from Baie Verte in the town of West Port. Here you can enjoy breathtaking views while hiking the scenic walking trial to the local lighthouse.

  • Great space! No cell service anywhere around there and even though we could link into wifi at the house, we still could not access our emails etc. On the drive to Westport, we saw coyotes, a moose, bear and a bunny, so be cautious!

  • We just loved loved loved our stay in Westport and the kindness and hospitality of all the people we met in this town. Our vacation was so much better in Westport then all the places we visited. Just being with Newfoundlanders in a beautiful quiet bay with beach was an amazing experience. The fishing port is 1 minute walking distance and it was safe for all my kids to walk to while I was on the porch reading or relaxing. The walk to the lighthouse was great and we had a perfect view to watch the whales for our first time. The long trail around the hill was an adventure that the kids enjoyed as we were off from the old path. On our last day, my kids were still asking to stay, mostly because they got to know people from Westport and they felt comfortable and safe and loved fishing with them at the warf. The house was perfect as it was close to everything for walking and it was spacious for all my kids to have their own spaces. The downstairs living area was great for my teenagers and the second bathroom was very handy. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything was very clean and in good condition. Thanks Lorne for a great vacation!! We really enjoyed every moment. Melina Martin

  • Great place. Difficult climbing up to cabin if you have limits. I didn’t know. My husband has 2new knees and steps were difficult. Clean. Nice shower. Nice personal touches.

  • As soon as you pull into the drive way you will feel welcomed and right at home. Pictures definitely don’t do this place justice. To say that my experience was a positive one would be an understatement! It was very clean and comfortable. The highlight for us was the wrap around deck with a view like no other! Definitely recommend - 10/10!

  • Beautiful spacious cheery cottage , great for cooking a meal and enjoying your drinks and food on the big deck overlooking Seal Cove. Quiet and peaceful , super relaxing . Playing Cards were provided as well so it was nice to enjoy a game of 21. We also were able to do a quick load of laundry with the facilities offered and are now set for the rest of our journeys here in Newfoundland ! Paul even left us a souvenir magnet which was super thoughtful! Thanks for a great stay!

  • If you are looking for a place to stay to relax and unwind in peace, we highly recommend for you to book here. The view is gorgeous and the lighthouse itself is one of a kind. The hosts are awesome people.

    Gordon2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful lighthouse. Did you know it was hand built by the owner all by himself???! So many attentions to detail inside....get ready to fall in love! I was right flabbergasted when I was first shown around. You can hang out on the upper levels with the record player and watch sunsets and sunrises from the most upper floor. Just amazing. Gayla and Alonzo are the best. Good people are sometimes hard to come by in this world, but these 2 are just pure gems. And that's not giving them the right amount of justice. They are one of the best people I've ever met in my entire life ❤️. 100 million percent recommend staying here. I'll definitely be back. If you're lucky like me, you'll find squid in the nearby waters for your supper. Love love love!

    Jennifer2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Okay people this is not an airbnb —this is more than that. This is an experience that you won’t forget. Gayla and Alonso are fantastic hosts. The lighthouse is exactly as described and the views around the area are breathtaking. Well worth the trip to Burlington. Terra & Barb Toronto Canada.

    Terra2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • So good to be back again!!! A peaceful paradise. So special!! Fantastic guests in a part of the island to be discovered! Thank you for being a AirBnB!!

    Francois2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Best place we've ever stayed at. Very nice people and well thought out. Alot of time and effort has gone into making this a great place to stay

    Zak2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • My only regret with the time we spent in Newfoundland is that we didn't stay longer at this gem! The Lighthouse Inn was amazing! Gayla and Alonzo were incredibly friendly, wonderful hosts. We only booked one night and arrived in the evening (just before a gorgeous sunset) and had to head back to the airport the next morning so sadly only got a very quick glimpse at Alonzo's extensive museum collection and Gayla's giftshop. The reason for only booking one night is that with my various food intolerances, I need to be able to cook my own meals and expected the facilities to be on the limited side given the novelty of the premises. Instead, this turned out to be one of the best equipped kitchenettes I've encountered! Looking out from the Lighthouse at the nearly full moon reflecting on the water was magical, the place was so cozy and tastefully decorated, and the bed was super comfy (if a little on the soft side). We'd love to find our way back someday and thoroughly recommend the Lighthouse Inn!

Burlington is a town of roughly 350 people located on the eastern side of the Baie Verte Peninsula between the towns of Middle Arm and Smith's Harbour. Situated in the heart of Iceberg Alley, Burlington is home to some of the most breathtaking coastline on the island of Newfoundland. With so many hidden coves and rocky inlets dotting the shore, Green Bay has some of the finest sea kayaking in Eastern Canada. Its surrounding hills are ideal for hiking and exploration, and the abundance of rivers and brooks that flow into Burlington provide some spectacular fresh water fishing. During the winter months, this region of Newfoundland can be twice as active as the summer with hundreds of kilometers of snowmobile trails criss crossing the peninsula. Without a doubt, Burlington is an all-year destination.

    Liza2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place and the morning view is amazing. Comfortable bed surprisingly. Excellent communication!

    Michael2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I just spent two nights at the pod. It was without a doubt the most relaxing get away we have ever had. Coffee and wine sitting on the deck with the gorgeous view, or a fire by the ocean with the most amazing view of the stars, we can't pick which we loved more. Our stay was made even more special by the wonderful staff and people of the community who instantly made us feel as though we knew them a lifetime. We're already looking forward to our next trip back, where we will definitely be staying at the pod again.

    Samantha2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Overall we had a super lovely stay in Ome and Burlington. If you want to disconnect in a minimal, no-frill location with a crackling wood stove and a lovely view on the water, then come to 'ome. But if you're expecting anything fancier because of the price tag, you won't find it as it remains fairly simplistic. The price/value is steep, especially with the $28 pet fee and new HST fee.

Don't forget to check out Limestone Park in Smith's Harbour and Gaze Point in Middle Arm, you will be glad you did!
  • I truly think everyone passing by Burlington should make it a must to stay there. Its like living in a tree house thats a cabin and your only view is the ocean, what's not to love. Bring a camera and get ready to take the best sunset and sunrise pictures. Amazing host. I definitely will be back.

We had a very short stay and unfortunately were unable to have a little campfire out back...but everything was provided for our entertainment. The room was nicely stocked, extremely clean and modern! The bed and linens super comfy! Steve was a gracious host and provided us with tips on recommendations for visiting neighbouring communities! Definitely a recommended stay in a quaint Newfoundland community :)

The cottage is in Smith's Harbour just a couple of kms from Burlington, Ome". Soak up the beauty of the ocean just steps away with a beautiful view, see whales and icebergs from the deck. The cottage, in the family since early 1900's built by Sandra's Pop, Silas Squires. Original wood ceiling & bare floor boards, with a few relics displayed. No internet, although, there is"hot spot"at the end of the kitchen table. The harbour just steps away is perfect for kayaking or canoeing. Welcome!
Overlooking the Atlantic ocean, so tranquil and peaceful. Very quiet area, small community with friendly people. Very nice place and do not let a few things put you off, such as no internet access or very limited as there is a "hot spot" at the end of the kitchen table, across from the driveway at the top of the hill, or a few other places around the little town. There are walking trails around town such as, Limestone park across the Harbour, and in nearby towns, Burlington and Middle Arm. Whales have been plentiful this year and people are enjoying seeing them in all 3 Communities. In Burlington there is a local swimming area, called the Brook, it is adjacent to the sign as you enter the town at the crossroads to your right! There is a sign or ask a local, they are very friendly. The house is newly listed so please bare with us, there is no sign upon entry but it is the Orange cottage just past the White Church, the only orange house, you can't miss it! We have listed as pet friendly with no extra charge as we are animal lovers of all shapes and sizes :), please let us know though if you are bringing pets. Clean up after your furbaby and all with be just peachy! There is no vacuum yet but a broom, mop w/bucket and all cleaning supplies are there. The view is spectacular and the cottage is a cozy nest, with games and movies for rainy lazy days. The harbour is protected from high seas so it is lovely for kayaking or canoeing! Some locals have been brave enough to swim there! Across the harbour the view of the Atlantic is amazing, and Limestone park goes right beside the ocean! It is a little dark, almost a light apple juice, fine for bathing, using.for cooking but the discoloration is a bit offputting for drinking, unfortunately.
Smith's Habour just 2-3 km's from Burlington is such a peaceful quaint community. There is a park called Limestone park where you can walk right into the ocean, enjoy a picnic or lay on the rocks and see the waves crashing by your feet. Very nice place and do not let a few things put you off, such as the town water. It is a little dark, almost a light apple juice, fine for bathing, using.for cooking but the discoloration is a bit off putting for drinking, unfortunately

  • Sandra’s home in Smith’s Harbour was the perfect place for us to stay during our travels. We arrived on a chilly and rainy evening and appreciated how quickly the cottage warmed up. The water is a bit rusty, and this wasn’t an issue since there was water in the fridge for drinking and making coffee. The locals were friendly and the view from the deck is lovey!

  • What a great place to stay. Perfect location, clean and a very friendly owner. I highly recommend this spot if you're visiting Kings Point.

  • Corey's place is open with a good kitchen and adjacent seating area. It accommodated our 3 people family very well.

    Chris2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had a nice stay at Corey's place. Clean, spacious and close to the attractions in town. I would recommend if you are looking to stay in this area.

    Philip2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Corey was very easy to work with and quickly responded to any questions or concerns we had. The apartment was very clean and had a beautiful view. The air conditioning in the bedrooms worked great and was much appreciated. We felt it was a good value and was just what we needed as a "home base" for our visit with family in the area.

    Garret2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful space with a beautiful view; there's a BBQ, coffee, supremely comfortable beds - everything you could want.

    Chudworth2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was perfect. Everything was very clean and had all we needed. Very well located in kings point. Corey was very welcoming and gave us water and ice.

    Maria2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable and convenient location in King's Point. Check you messages before heading in from the highway as they don't have cell service ... yet. But Wi-Fi works great once you're settled. Worth a meal on the water at By the Sea and the Whale Pavillion is neat!

Cozy cottage with an amazing view of the atlantic ocean. Westport can be found on the Baie Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador. This hidden gem is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bussel. Whether you like to hike or sit back and enjoy the ocean view , then Westport is the place for you! Westport is a peaceful and quiet community with one of the many hidden gems being the Westport Lighthouse. The lighthouse trail is a great way to experience the rugged serenity of a Newfoundland outport, often you will see Whales, Icebergs and Fisherman heading back from the day at sea.
  • What a fabulous little gem on the Baie Verte Peninsula! Great Location! And Tracey is the best host! So many thoughtful touches. Can’t recommend this place highly enough

    Thomas2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Lovely host, nice environment, awesome view. Very clean, super soft bedsheets, cosy and a good shower. Would recommend this place to everybody who’s visiting New Foundland.

  • Cozy cottage with ocean view. Great lighthouse trail through the forest with cliff views of the ocean culminating at the church. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.

    Brian2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was exceptional in so many ways. From the spotlessly clean and cozy atmosphere to picturesque view, we were able to relax and truly enjoy the quaint village of Westport. Tracey certainly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Her personable and attentive approach to hospitality truly made our trip memorable; we will be back. Thank you!

    Karen2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice clean comfortable place. Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Michael2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tracey's place is a wonderful place to both relax and explore this region of Newfoundland. After a long day of hiking and fantastic picture taking its a perfect spot to rest and reflect on the day. A definite repeat trip to her place is in our future.

    Warren2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow,wow, wow, what a beautiful spot and hostess. We were treated very well byTracey and had incredible hospitality. She helped us experience many things in the Newfoundland culture and went out of her way to make sure they happened, from phone calls to neighbours and friends to trips to down to the wharf. amazing. Her place was spotless, well apointed and super comfortable, bed and bedding was high end, slept very well. Kitchen had everything you need to cook your own food, would suggest bringing some food to cook yourself, but restaurants are only about half an hour drive away. We would highly recommend staying with Tracey and visiting this lovely little village in this great province.

Burlington is a town of roughly 350 people located on the eastern side of the Baie Verte Peninsula between the towns of Middle Arm and Smith's Harbour. Situated in the heart of Ice Berg alley, Burlington is home to some of the most breathtaking coastline on the island of Newfoundland. Without a doubt, Burlington is an all year destination.
  • Ome' Sweet Ome' - Whale was absolutely beautiful! The location is stunning and the whale tent offered privacy and a beautiful view. We loved every detail inside the tent & it was the best glamping experience! The hospitality was amazing and recommended beautiful local hikes & local places to eat. (however, we chose to cook at our tent using the bbq/fire pit provided). We 100% recommend a stay at the Ome' Sweet Ome' and we will be back again next year.

    Melanie2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • The Whale tent was a great experience. Our first time glamping and we had such a great time. This tent has an amazing view! Nice hiking trails nearby, the bed was very comfortable, and the host was very friendly and helpful. A wonderful place for some rest and relaxation!

    Jessica2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised.. amazing little glamping tents in the cutest town!! We stayed at The Whale and in my opinion had the best view. Our friends stayed at the other site which was maybe a 15 minute walk so make sure if you're staying together you book at the same site. Clean bathrooms, comfort station with shower near by. Staff are very very friendly and have anything you need to borrow, from utensils, pots pans towels etc.. BBQ on site with side burner for pot or pan which was great we didnt need to use our portable stove. Great swimming at the brook! All around great trip!!

My place is close to restaurants and dining, the beach, and family-friendly activities. My place is close to whale watching and icebergs. . DO NOT DEPEND ON GOOGLE MAPS....Drive down Main Street King's Point and keep going all around the bay till you see a sign saying WELCOME TO RATTLING BROOK and we are the first driveway on your right after sign.
There are lots of things to do in the area, lots of beautiful hiking trails, whale museum, King's Point pottery. Nice restaurants and bar.

  • We stayed here in July and got an amazing view of icebergs stuck in the bay from our own little cove! So special and this cottage has an unparalleled view of the water. The cottage itself is really clean, beds are really comfy, the space is small but perfect for a home cooked meal and peaceful night watching the ocean before an active day outside exploring Kings Point and the surrounding area. Thanks for having us!

  • Beautiful spot, right on the water. We really enjoyed our stay at OME. It does get chilly overnight in September and you can’t keep your heater on while you sleep, so be prepared for a chilly nose and cheeks while you sleep. The bed linens were nice and cozy warm though!

    Melissa2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • I am NOT a camper, but I am now a believer in GLAMPING! We stayed in the Loon and the view was spectacular! Staff was so friendly and took us to our site to acquaint us with the tent and local area. We traveled with our two dogs and this was the first place that offered us covers for the beds (nice touch), as our pups are bed sleepers. They too enjoyed the views and felt at home within minutes. We will definitely be back during the iceberg season and will be staying at our new ‘ome away from ‘ome (great name ‘ome sweet “ome - reminds me of my Newfie mom and her accent). 💕

    Kb2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the Loon tent! It was a beautiful decorated tent and the view was spectacular! The staff were great and we will definitely be back again! I didn’t realize how close we were to the eagle tent till we got there, so the loon tent and eagle tent are best booked together with people you know as you have to share a bbq and fire pit.

    Jerrica2019-09-04T00:00:00Z

  • Great spot. Loved the tent. Very cozy and warm. Quiet too. Wished the website was updated. I would have stayed longer if I knew that everything was provided. We flew to Nfld and couldnt bring camping gear. no need to bring any camping gear like plates, pots, towels, toilet paper etc. it's all provided. The only thing you need is a cooler for cold stuff as there is no fridge.

  • Comfy camping in style. My husband and I went with our 1 year old. The tent was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The community is beautiful and the stars alone were worth the drive. Friendly staff who do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. It’s definitely still camping but with every amenity possible. Enjoyed the bbq and firepit with chairs right on the water.

  • The Puffin tent was in a beautiful, scenic location right on the water. Complete with fire pit, BBQ, picnic table, coffee pot and the coffee necessities. We brought all our own food in coolers and our own drinking water (not provided by Ome). We easily cooked up a few delicious meals on the bbq and borrowed dishes, cutlery and cooking supplies from the check-in counter to use, which was great so we didn’t need to pack any of that! Shaun was in Burlington during our stay and took us for a hike and on a boat tour which was wonderful! We seen multiple whales during both excursions :) The tent is a great place to relax, have a campfire, and play games or read. We brought our own firewood but you can buy wood a check in for $7 a bundle. Our dogs came too and had a great time. We kept them tied on at the tent because a couple other tents were close to us. And they provided a dog blanket at check in so we could let the dogs on the bed on that. At check in Heather will give you a map (USE THIS). She shows you where a few of the hikes are and how to get to the store etc. The best/closest store with the most supplies is in Middle Arm. And there is a nice swimming hole/waterfall in Middle Arm too... just take a right up the hill instead of the left to the store and it is marked with a street sign. Thanks again to the Ome team for a wonderful relaxing couple days in beautiful Burlington :)

  • Great space, Draper was a wealth of knowledge for things to do in the area. After a full day on the skidoo’s We came back to drapers to a full pot of fresh chilli and hot apple cider. Draper had a lot of positive things to say about the great summer they have in the area. Ice bergs, whales and my favourite berry picking. Will have to book again this summer. Thanks again for you great hospitality.

    Frank2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Draper is an outstanding host! Very quick communication, checked up on us to make sure we arrived ok and to see how we were enjoying our stay. When we wanted to hike a trail nearby on the day we checked out, he allowed us to keep our bags at his place and pick them up afterwards beyond check out time. His home is super cozy, very clean, and beautifully decorated with a gorgeous view of the bay. When the heat from the woodstove greeted us, we didn't want leave. So, we relaxed at his house the entire evening we were there. The bathroom is directly across from the bedroom. Excellent water pressure. Bed is super comfortable. House is very quiet on a private lot. The shared accommodations with Draper are not to be feared. We felt right at home while he was there and he is a delight chat with! I highly recommend Draper's place and we will definitely book again if back in King's Point!

This is the main floor only of the house. There is an upstairs suite with its own private entrance in back of the house that we rent separately. If you wish to have entire house it is 350 per night. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is a BBQ on the deck.
There is a river next to cottage with a swimming hole. At low tide you can walk way out on the beach and you can pick muscles.
My neighborhood is unique cause it is a short drive to trans canada and a place to settle for a few days and do many day trips to wonderful places and be back to spend the evening. It is approximately 1 1/2 hours to Gros Mourne where you can spend the day and be back in time to have your own BBQ. It is approx. 2 hour drive to the famous FOGO ISLAND where you could spend the day exploring the artists houses which have artist from around the world come and paint newfoundland scenery.
  • Gorgeous location, comfortable and roomy.

    Kathy2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location! The view was spectacular! We had a great stay! We even got to see some whales which was a nice bonus!

    Angela2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful location. And a beautiful house. It had everything we needed and more. It was also a beautiful bonus to sit and relax in the morning with a coffee and listen and watch the whales playing in the bay!!! We didn’t want to leave!!

    Carrie2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay at Helen's place. The space was lovely, in and out. We were able to BBQ on the porch and watch our kiddos splash in the cove at the same time - a gift for parents! We used Helen's as a midway point between L'anse aux Meadows and St. John's at the end of a two week trip around Newfoundland, but wish we had booked more time at Helen't place.

    Jennifer2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • After a terrible day, we arrived to this gorgeous home in a private cove. Whales were feeding literally under a rainbow. Pretty sure neither can be guaranteed but it was a slice of heaven for our 2 nights. Our host was gracious and very quick to respond. If you’re fortunate to be visiting the area, I give this house 7 stars.

    Leigh Ann2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a beautiful house to stay and had everything you need for a family vacation . We loved it there . Great host .

Everything was very clean and new. A helpful friend popped in to greet us. It was amazing to fall asleep to the sound of the whales blowing a few hundred meters away.

Without a doubt, Burlington is an all year destination.

  • Ome Sweet Ome is truly just that - a perfect home away from home. So cozy and relaxing. Friendly and professional workers, they think of everything to make your stay there more comfortable. Each tent is decorated a little different but they’re all so cute. This was my second stay at ‘Ome and I will continue to return every year, and I always rave to everyone about how perfect is is there! I stayed at the fox tent both times because I love how secluded it is and that it has its own little path right down to the beautiful beach. 5 stars ⭐️

  • We wished we had two nights at the Rabbit Tent to totally immerse ourselves in the magic. The sunset--the full moon rising--loons calling to each other across the bay...be sure to pack Prosecco to enjoy in Mason jars by the fire and enjoy front row seats to the star show. Really cool experience and beautifully curated tent...

If you go and intend to cook make sure to grab pots pans and kitchenware from the check in. Unfortunately firewood wasn’t provided for free but is available for $7 at the check in. Lots of lovely nature around and be sure to check out the nearby Limestone park where we saw whales!

I would recommend staying for 2 nights as it gives you more opportunity to explore the area and fully appreciate the beauty of Burlington.

Welcome'Ome! Shaun Majumder invites you to come 'Ome and experience the scenic beauty of Burlington, Green Bay, Newfoundland. Located in Iceberg alley, on the north shore of "The Rock", 'Ome is the perfect way to experience stunning rural NL. A walk through a wooded trail heading towards the ocean leads you to a cluster of thoughtfully oriented tents, each with its own unique character. Each spacious 14 by 16 'Ome luxury tent, sleeps 1-4 people comfortably, and comes furnished with pillow top queen size beds. The hand made bed frames sit on hardwood floors that extend outside the tent as a front deck for lounging. Each site has a number of communal bathroom buildings which will house Sun-Mar Excel high capacity waterless toilets. We are proud to provide this environmentally responsible technology for our visitors. There is a community shower building located behind the town hall. The 'Ome project is a part of a larger social enterprise spearheaded by Canadian actor/writer/comedian Shaun Majumder. His goal is to bring tourism to his 'Ome-town of Burlington NL by creating social businesses which will fuel a sustainable micro economy for the region. All revenue generated goes back into the project and the community. The overall community project includes luxury camping, cabins, and a central lodge. Plus the construction of a community greenhouse and subsequent “Hummock View Greens”. And a summer festival called The Gathering (URL HIDDEN) The project was featured on the hit television series "Majumder Manor" which aired in Canada on the W network.
During the winter months, this region of Newfoundland can be twice as active as the summer with hundreds of kilometres of snowmobile trails criss crossing the peninsula. Without a doubt, Burlington is an all year destination.
  • If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is the spot. We visited Ome Sweet Ome for the second time, and it was just as wonderful. We will be making this an annual trip! We stayed at the Rabbit tent, and opening the screen in the morning and being able to take in that view is so good for the soul. Highly recommend staying here.

  • Wow! Imagine waking up to the sound of waves washing on the rocks and seagulls’ noises. The Eagle at Ome Sweet Ome provides just that!

  • As nature enthusiasts we were looking for something different and outdoorsy to do on our trek to Newfoundland so we added ‘Ome’ to our bucket list. It has been an experience like none other and it has left us with memories to last a lifetime. ‘Ome’ is the ultimate source to disconnect from the everyday lifestyle and to reconnect with nature at its finest. As soon as you walk out of ‘The Eagle’ you are immersed in beauty. If a picture is worth a thousand words then the views would easily fill a book. Waking up just steps from the beach with a rooster’s call is definitely a first for us. It really doesn’t get much better than that! From the salty air, to the rippling water, hiking in the local trails to the whales performing in sight, it was the perfect spot to relax and recharge. Thank you for sharing this piece paradise with us. The friendliness of the staff and the locals are what made Ome so much more special. We will be back again.
