Historic Site
“Listed as the largest reconstructed settlement on actual historic property in North America. If the history of the battles for control of North America between the English and French empires interested you, then you must visit this site. Great for families, couples and singles. There is lots to see, do and learn, all done either self guided interpretations or guided tours. Wonderful experience for the whole family!”

“Alexander Graham Bell Museum is a good place to spend a few hours in Baddeck. If you have a National Parks Pass , you can use it for admission to any national park or national museum. If you plan on visiting several museums and going around the trail , I found an annual parks Canada pass is more economical for a family.”

“"The Goat" (as it is affectionately called around these parts) is the place to stop for coffee, baked goods, sandwiches and soups. The food is delicious and the service is gracious! They are VERY busy in the summer, so call ahead for pick-up if you're in a hurry! The breakfast sandwich is really awesome (egg and your choice of meat or a tomato slice on a buttery, homemade biscuit), and you won't be sad if you take home a few muffins, cookies, or a loaf of porridge bread, either. ”
