My little cozy guest house. Enjoy your private beach across the street on Lake Champlain..Bring your boat and enjoy fishing on the lake with beautiful views of the Adirondack Mountains..Also Vermont is a hop, skip & jump away with the Ferry 2 min. away. We also have the City Beach with its new Cabana Bar & State park right here where you can walk on the beach to , or take your boat to. Great restaurants to. Plattsburgh is a great place to visit . Hopefully we'll see you soon.
Quiet, you can ride your bike, bike path, go sit at beach, have a bonfire, go swimming, fishing , etc.
  • Cute, clean and comfortable cabin close to town. Communication with host was easy and check in process was easy as well.

  • The house is very cool, we only needed a place to sleep, and it was wonderful!! Nicole was very nice and available for any questions. I would love to go back when I can get time to see the area.

  • Great location if you want to go to Plattsburgh! The beach and the city center are nearby. Very small and functional. Host available and welcoming!

  • Nicole's place was the perfect spot for my wife and I to spend a week exploring Plattsburgh and the surrounding area. She was an excellent host - super helpful and very communicative! You can tell she loves hosting! The private beach is a short walk from the house and it was nice to come back every day and relax by a fire, overlooking the lake and the mountains in the distance. The location is awesome, too - the ferry to Vermont is 5 minutes from here and there's plenty of other things to do and see within an hour drive from the house. As she says on here, the house is small, but it's totally adequate for people just needing a place to stay! For the price, you definitely can't beat it!

  • I loved staying in Nicole’s Cute little self contained house. It had everything I needed, and was in a great location Although I didn’t meet Nicole, She stayed in good communication with me. Highly recommend it!

  • Carrie’s house was warm and cozy, very stylish and homey! She left lots of little extras for us to enjoy! There were plenty of kitchen supplies and extra bedding if needed. Lots of local information and brochures. She was quick to respond with our questions. You can tell she cares for the comfort and enjoyment of her guests. ☺️

    Tara2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the house and all of the amenities. It was just so comfortable I didn’t even feel like I was away. Having the dogs with us was also great and there is plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. I have stayed in many places but yours takes the gold for many reasons, a beautiful view, quiet area, comfortable beds, cozy fireplaces, your timely responses and suggestions really helped! Your attention to detail is well noted and we loved all of the artwork. The whole family enjoyed it and we plan on coming back!!

    Rebecca2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie’s place was absolutely lovely! Such a comfy and cute little farm house. We would love to visit in other seasons as well!

    Erhan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you love older country farmhouse that's on a lake then this place is perfect! Perfect for summer ( not sure if they have a boat dock ) plenty of places to launch your boat! Perfect place for winter sports too! Did have a little glitch, one was mother nature and the other was me I blew a breaker, Jessie the handyman fixed us up in no time! This home isn't fancy but cozy and plenty of room for your family and pets! We've already started discussing next winters ice fishing trip! Carrie thanks for sharing your home! Hope to book next winter!

    Denise2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space was fabulous, despite Mother Nature dropping over a foot of snow at the beginning of our trip. Any small issues were handled quickly and directly and communication was unmatched. Carrie took the time to research and give feedback on local information as well.

    Sean2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • I can’t say enough positive things about Carrie’s home - the location, decor, cleanliness, amenities, the fireplaces, the beds, Carrie’s unparalleled hospitality, and the VIEW are all incredible. My parents stayed for two weeks while visiting NY and had the most amazing stay because of Carrie’s hospitality and her warm and welcoming home. Carrie went above and beyond to make their stay special with lovely amenities, plenty of food, wood for the fire, and prompt and caring communication. I have stayed at dozens of Airbnbs across the world, and I can say with confidence that Carrie’s home is the best. This is truly a gem! Thank your for providing a wonderful home for my parents and I to share plenty of laughs, walks along the lake, sunsets, talks by the fire, and wonderful meals. We will be back soon!

    Kelly2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Carrie is the perfect host! She is quick to reply and very helpful. Her house was very stylish. There are two fireplaces and a bbq outside for which she leaves kindling and wood. Although we had to buy some lighter fluid and coal, there might be leftovers from earlier guests for you. We enjoyed using the fireplaces a lot! However you don't necessarily need the fireplace for heat. The house is warm enough for winter without the fireplace. The lake is also quite beautiful and just around the corner.

    Öykü2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was awesome! Held 8 young men perfectly. Spacious, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Excellent space and excellent host. Stayed here for an ice fishing trip and it was great. Will probably be returning in the future.

One-bedroom apartment with private deck on Lake Champlain. 180 feet of lake-front. Beautiful views of Mount Mansfield, Lake Champlain, and back meadow. Great area for biking, boating, swimming, paddling, and hiking. Biking distance from farm stand and Saturday farmers market. 35 minute drive from Burlington, VT. Instagram: @oneperfectacre
The apartment is attached to the main house, which is located on one acre of lake-front property. The backyard abuts a meadow, which has beautiful wildflowers periodically during the summer. The lake in front of the house is protected from the wind, making it an ideal place for swimming and paddling. We have a great area for wild birds and regularly see blue birds, loons, osprey, and the occasional eagle and kingfisher.
  • This place is an amazing find! Gorgeous views, quiet spot, very clean & stylish. Very convenient check in & out. Would definitely stay again!

    Christina2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is very private -- right on Lake Champlain with beautiful views. Ideal for those looking for a quiet get away. Communication was extremely prompt and the space was spotlessly clean. Private entrance, spacious kitchen, comfortable bedroom. Check it out!

Great communication with the hosts who went above and beyond to ensure this space was phenomenal. Definitely recommend staying here if you are coming to visit the islands. If you’re looking for a quiet space with awesome views and solitude, this is it! Look forward to coming back soon for another visit. Thanks for a great stay.

  • What a beautiful and wonderful place. Your place made us feel like we were at home but with a lake front view. The Lake view from the apartment was so beautiful. The apartment was very clean, spacious and with all the amenities one need to feel at home. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

The Boathouse is a lovely lakefront home, newly constructed in 2014 and just refurnished in 2020. In the winter, it is a quiet place at the end of a long driveway to be cozy and warm with family and friends before and after adventures in the snow. In the summer, it is a great place to enjoy the water and gorgeous views of the Green Mountains in Vermont. Snuggle into the cozy beds and down comforters in the winter and open the massive sliding glass doors in every room in the summer.
At the Boat House you’ll watch the sun rise, see views of the Adirondack Mountains, slip off your shoes and be in the lake in seconds, sit in the Adirondack chairs at sunset, and enjoy the fire pit, starry sky, and roasted marshmallows at night. The space This house is ½ mile off the road with total privacy. The lake is 50 feet from your bedroom. There are views of the lake and mountains from every room. Radiant heat warms the floors in the winter. Sliding glass doors open up to welcome the breeze in the summer. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs with soft sheets, down duvets, extra blankets and pillows, new mattresses, pillows, and towels. Upstairs is a small bedroom (with a balcony + view of the lake) with a futon, flat screen TV, desk, and half bathroom. Upstairs is also an open loft with some extra space for playing games, doing yoga, or reading a book. The living room couch is also a pull out and we have a memory foam topper to make it comfy. The house works great for families and groups of friends. The kitchen is large and stocked for making family meals. The fire pit out front is a great place to host drinks and evenings by the lake. Guest access While you're staying here, the house will be your private oasis. Feel free to explore the property (we are on 3 acres). Other things to note There is a bunk house next door that is great for 2 additional guests in the summer. It is detached from the house and especially fun for kiddos. The lake is super fun and wonderful for playing in in July + August. We have some fun lake toys in the garage. Things to do Montreal and Burlington are each about an hour away and make for fun day trip. The Adirondack Mountains are nearby for great day hikes. Sailing + Windsurfing are incredible on Lake Champlain. Skiing is great at nearby Whiteface Ski Resort. The road cycling is unparalleled and you can literally ride without seeing many cars for 50+ miles.
  • We had such a wonderful experience and time staying at Niko’s lake house. It is the place to be: stylish cabin feel meeting all modern amenities was exactly what we were looking for during our quite getaway. The house itself is very airy, light, spacious, clean, full of all household necessities, offering homey feel, crisp linen, very comfortable new furniture throughout entire house, tons of stylish modern themed touches, warm floors which were a major bonus during cold winter days and nights. The location is fantastic with lake and mountains views throughout entire house. You really do get what you see and even more so! The check in process was a breath given that Niko is an amazing host! Regardless of all the detailed local tips and information about the house she was always willing to help and reached out to check if we needed anything else or what not. We would definitely like to come back any time during the year!

  • The boathouse is absolutely wonderful! This home has everything you need for a relaxing weekend off the beaten path. The hosts were quick to respond with very clear instructions and helpful tips. The lake is just feet away and you have views of the lake from every room. We loved waking up to the sun pouring into all of the windows in the house. Cannot wait to go back again soon!

Feel at home in this small-town quiet home, convenient to all the beauty and attractions of the Lake Champlain Islands, and just 5 minutes from the Canadian border crossing. Halfway between Montreal and Burlington, my home makes a wonderful stopover for cyclists.
My place is right in the quaint and friendly village of Alburgh, VT. It is an easy drive to Montreal, Burlington, or Plattsburgh. Located in the Lake Champlain Islands, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and picturesque views. Best of all, my home is just a short walk to beautiful Lake Champlain! There is lake access at the end of my street, and a recreation trail up the road. Bring your kayak or bike and enjoy all this area has to offer!
5-minute walk to lake access (rocky, no beach) Easy drive to nearby cities (Montreal, Burlington, Plattsburgh), as well as Lake Champlain Islands attractions (vineyards, cideries, restaurants, beaches, hiking trails, arts, and entertainment) My home is on a residential street in a small town surrounded by a more rural area (farmland and lakeshore).
  • Perfect place to stay close to the border, quiet and friendly. The cat is lovely !

  • Mallory is a fantastic host. She is very friendly and helpful. Her place was very well kept and a cozy stay for us on a very cold night in northern Vermont.

A cozy getaway on the edge of Lake Champlain! A very comfortable queen bed, And a separate room with 2 large bunk beds (sleeps 4), and a day bed with trundle (sleeps 2). Sit in the hot tub (Open year-round) to look up at the billions of stars on a clear night! An hour to Burlington, and Montreal. Restaurants, hiking, etc close by. Peaceful and quiet. No neighbors. Be assured that in light of the virus, I completely sterilize all appliances, door knobs, switches, counters etc. between guests.
A warm and cozy private guest house with private hot tub. A large yard, great for pets, leads right down to the lake. BBQ, high-speed Wi-Fi, and roku TV included. A kitchenette with hot plate, toaster oven, microwave, Instant pot, coffee grinder, and mini fridge. Very pet friendly, (though there is a dog fee: add on one ‘extra person’ per dog) Dog bed, (no dogs sleeping on the beds please) and food bowls provided if you don’t want to bring your own.
10 minutes from town (Rouses Point) with cafés, breakfast places and fine restaurants. Local farmstands everywhere when in season. 25 minutes to Plattsburgh, 50 minutes to Montreal, and an hour to Burlington. Stunning views of the lake and the stars at night from your private cabin and Hot Tub.
  • Great place to stay. Remember this is a place to relax and get away from reality. The shower pressure is a little low, but the hot tub is amazing. The view is out of this world. And the people around are awesome. That being said not a lot in the town to eat, but I highly recommend Angelos

    Keith2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's spot is great for all; couples, groups, and families. Although small, there is still plenty of sleeping options and more than enough space. The place is very clean, right on the lake and the hot tub is great! There's also plenty of options for cooking, minus an oven. If you're looking for a place around Champlain, I definitely recommend this spot.

    Jonathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Michael is a wonderful host. Very kind and thoughtful. The space is roomy and comfortable. Hot tub was very clean, and my boyfriend had nothing but great things to say all around. My overall impression? We can’t wait to come back next year!

    Abby2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nothing short of amazing! Awesome place and Michael was an incredible host, really good guy and so helpful. Hope I have another opportunity to stay here again

    Zachary2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing! The house is right on the lake, and absolutely beautiful. The cottage itself was very nice and cozy and can fit a lot of people. The hot tub was great and at night you can see the stars, it was perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Michael was very accommodating and responded quickly to every message. We had a family emergency come up and weren’t able to come up the first night, so he said we could stay an extra night. We definitely want to come back in the future!

    Mackenzie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • When my husband and I decided to finally make plans and go away for our anniversary for the first time ever we went blindly into it. I made an account and started looking at places within our budget and the area we wanted to stay. Needless to say we found Michael’s amazing place after the 4th or 5th one scrolling through. We read all that he had to offer, the reviews, and it sounded perfect. We reserved it and were both so excited. I didn’t exactly look and see where on the map he was located until after we reserved. For us distance didn’t matter, and the 4.5 hr drive was beautiful. Michael’a place was more than we had hoped for. It’s cozy, spotlessly clean, and the bed was so comfortable. Bonus was the hot tub that we used a lot! He’s absolutely right, it’s amazing to be in and look up at the stars, or during a big snow storm. It was so relaxing. Since we didn’t pay attention to the location, we quickly realized we were less than an hour from Montréal, and a little over an hour from Burlington. Plus Lake George, Lake Placid, and Saranac Lake were all within a decent drive for day trips. We made it to Montréal and Vermont on two separate days. Michael was extremely generous in giving us an extra night there due to the major snow storm that hit, and we were snowed in that day and night. We were able to cook a full dinner there and it was really good. Not something we wanted to do everyday with all the amazing local restaurants we wanted to try out, but cooking is absolutely doable, and a large meal at that. Highly recommend staying at Michael’s place right on Lake Champlain. It was the perfect get away for us. We took home a lot of memories, and one of my favorites is sitting in that hot tub starring off across the lake and seeing that huge mountain. It was breathtaking. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Michael!

    Christina2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing place. I would definitely recommend and come back.. everything was just the way I thought it would be. Communication was great ! The lake is absolutely beautiful!!

    Mackenzie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay. The cottage location was perfect proximity to the lake and the jacuzzi was amazing to be able to use in the winter overlooking the lake. Really nice use of space and craftsmanship with everything in the cottage. The new kitchen sink was a useful upgrade. The bed and pillows were good quality and comfortable. We really thought everything was well done and a good value and that Michael was a great host. Hope to come back sometime for a summer stay!

Outdoor shower in the summer. Row boat and float access in the summer. Or just a swing from a tree
In the winter, North Hero is a very quiet and peaceful place. In the summer, the island is buzzing with activities, outdoor festivities and more dining options.
  • So welcoming, really good person, our first step for the road trip in Vermont with my girlfriend was wonderful. A really good partnair with Diesel ;)

  • Hannah's beautiful and cozy home, alongside Hannah's glowing qualities as a human being and host, made this easily the best AirBnB experience we've ever had. If you are traveling through North Hero, VT and need a place to truly call home, look no further. We will absolutely be back if/when travels take us in that direction again!

    Wyatt2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah is an amazing host. She is very kind and friendly!, she goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable. The farm house was awesome. Very rustic, loved the fire place and art on the walls. Also, the bed was super comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience staying at Hannah's farm house, awesome animals and great hospitality. I would definitely love to visit her farm again in Summer.

    Rakesh2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We were there just overnight in the middle of winter but a cozy and charming farm home. It would be awesome in the summer! Recommended.

    Linda2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed with my 6yrs old son at Hannah's place, we had great time at a fireplace, enjoyed a beautiful view of a snowstorm and visited Hannah's farm with funny alpacas. Hannah even dug out our car out of the snow in the morning, for which we are very grateful, thank you Hannah!

    Dennis2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah's home is delightful, full of comfort, ease and many thoughtful touches. The bed is extremely comfortable (and I mean very, very, very comfortable) and the room has many thoughtful touches including a self serve coffee maker with cream and sugar, distilled water and a selection of teas; comfy throw blankets; a portable heater for cold weather; a private entrance; a selection of books; local newspaper; soft towels and personal care items. In addition, Hannah set up a laptop with Netflix for entertainment on the bedside table! Hannah is also a thoughtful and interesting conversationalist. Respectful, knowledgeable and compassionate. I was very happy to stay in Hannah's home and to meet her menagerie of animals including the alpacas, goats, chickens, ducks and lovely Great Dane. I would happily stay again and perhaps will bring the boyfriend in warmer weather! Thanks so much for having me.

    Trix2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah is an amazing host. Loves to chat or will leave you alone of that's what you want. Very friendly and outgoing. The alpacas are awesome. The bedroom is very cozy and warm. Loved staying here.

  • Kathy’s space on Isle La Motte is a peaceful, private and beautiful getaway. Kathy has a great gift of hospitality and extends the warmest welcome to guests. We felt immediately at home and comfortable like visiting a long time friend! Highly recommend this place on the most amazing island in Vermont!

  • We loved our stay at the meadow house... Such a mellow place! Kathy and Mark were super friendly . I would recommend this place all around

  • Kath’s Place was wonderful with a serine view of grassy field, exactly how it’s been described. We had everything we needed for a weekend stay. We loved it and plan to visit again.

  • This stay was the best of our entire 30 days of travelling. It was surprisingly and pleasantly quiet. The check in process was convenient. We were amazed that the fridge was stocked with water, beverages and all the ingredients for a home cooked breakfast. The space was clean, bright and very private. It is close to Ruthcliffe Lodge and Restaurant, where we were able to dine and entertain family. We wish that we had been able to stay longer! Location is perfect for doing anything in the Champlain Islands.

  • Kathy was a wonderful host! She was very accommodating and gave me some great tips on what to do around the island! We loved the location and it was definitely secluded enough where you felt like you were on the island by yourself! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to unplug for a weekend getaway!

Welcome to Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks: truly one of the most magnificent places in the Northeast. Our newly renovated (May 2018) lakefront property offers a private setting. The property has its own rocky beach and dock, a perfect location for fishing, boating, and all other water based activities. Quiet neighbors to the North and even quieter neighbors to the South (being situated close to the Historic Trombley Cemetery). The setting is an ideal place for privacy and relaxation.
This quaint two bedroom home also has a loft area with a queen size murphy bed. Occupants on the second floor share the upstairs bathroom.

  • We had a wonderful time staying for the week and hosting Thanksgiving for my in-laws. The house was perfectly equipped for our family of 3 and Kathleen was extremely responsive to any question we had. Will definitely be back! Can’t wait to see the lake in the summer!

  • It was my first time booking a stay on AirBnB and Kathleen was great. The stay was for European colleagues coming into town for an extended stay and I wanted them to have a home away from home, as opposed to a “cold” hotel room. They arrived late in the evening and Kathleen had a light on for them, along with some refreshments. The location was great and her communication was very responsive. They had a positive experience and I would reserve with Kathleen again!

  • An immediate sense of relaxation greets you upon arrival. The stunning location, accompanied by so much to do - or not do should you choose - is wonderful. As we viewed the breathtaking sunsets each evening, we were grateful for our time away and for the amazing memories created. This is a vacation spot you won't want to miss.

    Tammy2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really, really, really beautiful place right on the lake. You couldn’t get a better view of the lake at sunset. Really easy to check in and out. Would definitely come back again.

  • Vancie's cottage was just as described and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay and spent most of our time at the cottage outdoors either on the deck or at the rocky waterfront beach right on the property. Absolutely gorgeous!

    Megan2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The view is unbelievable on a clear day. Waking up and sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee while the water lapped at the shore was the highlight of the day for me. I highly suggest taking advantage of this adorable cabin if you get the opportunity.

    Michael2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • All of our emails were answered very quickly and location is as described. The cottage contains all necessary amenities an and we were pleasantly surprised to even find fresh spring water in bottles for use. The cottage is more than a hundred years old and well taken care of: a very charming place. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the peace and quiet so relaxing. We‘ll be back!

Beautiful and historic Fisk Farm on Isle La Motte, Vermont overlooks Lake Champlain. Your stay in one of our two picturesque cottages helps to support our work of historic preservation, land conservation, and community well being. In May, June, and September we offer minimum two night stays in our charming Shore Cottage overlooking the lake are $125 per nite. In July and August the minimum stay is a week from Saturday to Saturday at $850 per night.
Though Fisk Farm is a great place for families with kids, the Shore Cottage described here hosts only two people. For a larger group consider the Stone Cottage, our other listing. Fisk Farm is a heritage site that was once the home of the prominent Fisk family, who on past occasions hosted receptions for noted politicians such as President McKinley and Vice President Theodore Roosevelt. The once beautiful stone house, built in 1803, was ravaged by fire in 1923. Today the stone ruins offer reminders of an historic past. The renovated Horse and Carriage Barn with its two grand pianos, hosts concerts and art and craft shows. Cultural heritage events are presented by the Isle La Motte Preservation Trust (ILMPT), a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the area. Fisk Farm also hosts Cultural Heritage Programs which are sponsored by the Isle La Motte Preservation Trust. For a listing of arts and musical events view the summer arts schedule on our website.
We are on a quiet country road which wends its way along Lake Champlain. Walking, bicycling, and swimming (in summer) are favorite pastimes. One guest just wrote, "There are few places which have had such a profound effect on my spirit in all my years of travel. Kyoto is one. Shojoji Temple in Futsukaihi is another and now I can add Isle La Motte to this list. A wonderful place. We will return and look forward to it."
  • Linda cabin offers an amazing view of Lake Champlain unfortunately for us the weather for the days we stayed we not very friendly for beautiful sunsets but non the less the location is beautiful! Only draw back was the location for parking was a bit of a walk to the cabin not much of a deal for me but if you have trouble walking just a little heads up for you. I would definitely chose to stay with Linda at the Fisk farm again if I am ever back up that way! Great amount of history and the walk though the quarry was like walking back in time.

    Becka And Jim2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a wonderful waterside cottage. Overall, if you are alright with a bit of a more rustic vibe then this place is perfect. Keep in mind to bring some food with you as the Island is not ripe with places you can easily get a snack and the nearest gas station is about 20 mins away. A personal favorite of our stay was the amazing little fire pit beside the water, totally beautiful

    Chris2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this cottage. It is right on the lake so the views, especially at sunset, are incredible. Highly recommended for a stay as a couple looking to get away from city life for a couple of days.

    Veronica2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to get away from it all this is the place! A beautiful and peaceful place.

    Alan2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The sound of the lake lapping in the shore and ready access to a swim and picturesque roads for biking —not to mention proximity to sites of geologic significance that the host herself helped to preserve— made our stay just about perfect. We lucked out with the weather; we brought our own food and made do with yogurt, cereal, and sandwiches. You’d be hard-pressed to make a full meal, but for our purposes it was just fine. We’re happy to find our way back.

    Melissa2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful retreat removed from the hectic hurried outside world. The deck porch offers a view of the opposite shore and you are only steps away from a dip in the lake. There seems to be a constant cooling breeze from the lake and the sound of the water lapping at the stones on the shore is soothing. Very basic kitchen requires some creativity to put a meal together, but the electric skillet and toaster-oven can do the trick. Somewhat dated electrical service is offset by good wifi service. If you like tranquility, you will love it here!

    Beverly2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little place in a beautiful environment. The view is stunning, the place is super cozy, Linda is a great host and super friendly!

    Gabriella2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s place is really special. A cute cottage with a spectacular sunset view. Lots to do and explore around the islands. One little note. I found the local tap water a bit « soft ». Consider bringing some bottled water if that’s something you care about.

  • This charming lakeside summer home sits right on the water. There are spectacular views of the lake, an island off shore and the Green Mountain range to the east. Every sunrise was breathtaking. The house sits 50 feet from the lake and has unobstructed views. There is a nice lakeside lawn, lakeside terrace with fire pit and a nice swim beach. Also a dock to fish of of. Every outdoor space has amble benches, chairs and outdoor tables. Y It was quiet at night. There are few adjoining properties on the private road serving this house and all the neighbors we bumped into were very friendly. We had a great time.

  • What a gem. Nice and quiet dead end road. We saw only a handful of vehicles the entire time. The place is rustic, and they emphasize that in the description. They do clean the place very well. This is a camp and you are going to see a spider or two, but that comes with the territory of a camp on the water. I prepared myself for a musty smell -- but I was wrong and glad I was, no musty at all. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is perfect. One of the days we stayed, the wind was at a constant 20mph, up to 45mph and you would have never known -- this place is not drafty at all and we stayed comfy with the efficient and easy-to-use woodstove. If you like to take walks with your pup, the road to the right and left are nice and flat, especially if you have an older dog. We brought all our food with us and cooked every meal. We learned later of a local store that carries a full butcher shop and really great food. Next time we will just shop there on the way to camp -- we definitely plan on going back for a week or so and explore more of the State Parks. Thank you for opening your camp and trusting us with your property.

  • This cottage was the perfect getaway to unplug and unwind! We enjoyed sunrises over the lake and cooking all dinners on the outdoor grill. Opening the windows and French doors with provides screens created the perfect breeze. Not too hot at all! When I did have a question about parking the host was responsive right away!

Our house is located on Hibbard Bay, close to YMCA Camp Abnaki, Hero's Welcome General Store, state parks, marinas, of course Lake Champlain!, great views, restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities, Burlington, Montreal and Plattsburgh NY.. You’ll love our studio because of the coziness, amenities, views, quiet neighborhood and the location. The studio is good for couples and one other guest (additional charge), solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The house was a barn built in the 1800's, converted into a duplex in the 1970's. Jamie and I purchased it in 2002 and have been bringing the 6500 square foot house back to life renovating & restoring ever since. It has 5 floors (4 in use!) surrounded by 4 plus acres of fields and gardens that we have created. The house overlooks Hibbard Bay, has the most incredible sunrises and view. Sitting in the chairs, book and glass of wine in hand, it does not get any better than that!
The neighborhood is a quiet residential area with only on few homes on the waterfront. Down the road the YMCA camp covers the point and across the bay the view is the backside of Knight State Park which is a day use park only; bayside not developed.
  • Great experience, beautiful studio apartment with a private entrance in the front of the house. Perfect for myself and my girlfriend for the weekend, full kitchen, great bathroom, comfortable bed, plenty of comforters for the cold nights, radiant heating through out keeps the place toasty. Location was great about 30 min from Burlington and 1hr from smugglers notch. Right on lake Champlain. Will be back in the summer!

    Mark2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our best Airbnb stay yet. Lisa and Jamie are kind and generous hosts. We enjoyed our stay at this immaculate and spacious lake side studio apartment. We especially loved the thoughtful touches like the handwritten welcome note on the entrance and the delicious breakfast basket containing cookies, cake, fruit and white bread, all home-made and freshly baked. The view of the lake is splendid. We were lucky to catch the beautiful sunrise. The shower is excellent too. Serene, rejuvenating, and romantic getaway.

    Jayajanani2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was wonderful. Beautiful view of the lake, extremely nice and responsive hosts. They had a well stocked kitchen with basics like milk, eggs, OJ and common spices and condiments. Our hosts even left us some cookies and hand picked apples. We had a nice chat with Jamie under the night sky by the chiminea. We even got to see the northern lights. Stay here for a lovely local experience of the Champlain islands!

    Shikha2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa was a tremendous host! My girlfriend and I use air bnb a lot and we have never experienced such thoughtful touches ranging from baked goods to supplies for s’mores. This was an amazing find when we were just hoping for a fun getaway. Would highly recommend and we plan to come back!

    Erik2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place is in a truly outstanding location, helped by wonderful weather, so we could sit outside looking at the lake & later enjoy a warm fire too. Lisa’s home baked muffins & cookies were an added bonus. It’s very quiet this time of year, but we managed to rent bikes for a half day & otherwise just enjoy the peace. Hope to come back one day!

    Janet2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very much at home in this cozy retreat. It was stocked with everything you could want for a yummy breakfast & snacks. Large space to spread out. Remote, quiet, and peaceful. The chiminea & s’mores were a great touch on a chilly night under the stars.

    Marsha2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Lisa and Jamie are great and helpful. The place was unique and very comfortable. I loved the chai bread...I also loved heated bathroom floors. We would stay here again in a minute

    Kathleen2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was perfect for a sister getaway. Lisa was there to greet us, advise and share. Her garden was amazing and we incorporated her bounty in our breakfast we made with the fixings she left in the refrigerator. The flowers were beautiful and the sitting area facing the Lake was peaceful and relaxing. I had been to North Hero before and have done the Burlington to South Hero bike trail, but was physically unable to bike this year. There is not a whole lot to do on the islands mid week off season that doesn't require physical challenges, but the scenery was beautiful and relaxing. When I get my new hip, I will return.

Fisk Farm is an historic property overlooking Lake Champlain. It is situated on 23 acres of land with two guest cottages, a main house (where we live) and a renovated barn with art exhibits and music. It is located on the island of Isle La Motte in northern Vermont, and can be reached by car across a causeway. In July and August we rent our cottages only by the week. In May, June and September we have a two night minimum. For more details and weekly prices visit fiskfarm.com.
Isle La Motte is a beautiful rural island and Fisk Farm is one of the most beautiful settings on the island. Fields stretch out to the east, woodlands to the north, the beautiful Fisk Quarry Preserve is just to the south and Lake Champlain offers spectacular views to the west. Walking, biking, swimming, or just sitting on our broad expanse of green lawn with a great book or a camera are some of our guests' favorite activities.
Isle La Motte is a rural setting with quiet country roads and a causeway which provides quick access to the mainland. A golf course just off the causeway about 10 minutes away. Further on, just past the Village of North Hero, are tennis courts at Shore Acres which can be reserved in advance.
  • What a lovely time we had at the Stone Cottage; such a unique, restorative setting with an amazing history!

    Robert2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended! This is a rare place. Rustic-but-comfortable, charming and beautiful, historically significant. The photographs barely do the house and property justice--it is even lovelier. The sunsets are breathtaking.

    Kimberly2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was great! The decor is very rustic and it really sets the tone for the mood of the island.

    Veronica2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's Stone Cottage is a place we hope to visit again and again. Quaint, very clean, obvious attention to decorating, so comfortable and charming...it's very difficult to describe this lovely place. Outside is just as nice with stone ruins, gardens, views of Lake Champlain, beach, and a barn featuring local artists. Add into that mix Linda's exceptional hospitality and the local protected sites of Fisk Quarry and Goodsell Ridge....well, it's a place you really won't want to leave.

    John2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, spacious cottage, very generous, accommodating host. Rich Vermont history. Strongly recommended for a glorious escape. My daughter and I had a blast swimming; and catching fireflies was magical. The artwork in the barn was a special, beautiful treat.

  • If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to an unspoilt place, then this is it. Bring some provisions with you. It’s a fantastic place to relax Whilst the accommodation isn’t luxurious, it is steeped in character, which makes this a retreat from the hustle and bustle of every day life.

    Shona2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The charm of the Stone Cottage, beauty of the location, and wonderful hosting all surpassed our expectations. If you're looking for a very special vacation on Lake Champlain don't miss it.

    Mark2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fisk Farm is a very memorable place to stay and is great for enjoying the lake and exploring the quarry in the backyard. The property is very quaint with a beautiful garden and the stone cottage is a rustic, no frills kind of place. Isle la Motte is very remote with no grocery store and very few places to grab a bite to eat so be sure to bring plenty of groceries with you. This is a great place to relax and get away from it all!

  • We had a wonderful stay! It was relaxing. Beautiful view of the lake, an hour from Montreal and Burlington which we visited. It was off season so we had the entire area to ourselves!

  • 11/10 would book again!

    Cady2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • The location close to the Canadian border was great as it was a short trip to the cottage. Beautiful location on Lake Champlain and gorgeous sunsets over the water. The drives to both Stowe and Burlington were not far (1.5 and 1 hr respectively) and very gorgeous in October. The mountain pass to Stowe was stunning. The cottage is amazing inside and very comfortable. Waking up to a lake view can't be beat.

Lovely small summer camp across the street from, and with access to, beautiful Lake Champlain. Sunny front deck, backyard picnic table, fire pit and bbq, and lots of chairs for lounging around. 3 minutes from the Grand Isle/Cumberland Head ferry dock, 5 minutes from Plattsburgh, close to Rt. 87 and points north and south. A great spot to relax and enjoy the glorious summers and colorful falls. Please note: we have no room to park a boat.
Cappy is a charming older 2-bedroom summer camp across the street from the lake front. The front deck gets all day sun and is the perfect spot to recline on a chaise lounge, sip some wine and watch the sun go down. The wood paneled screened-in porch has a glider, plenty of rocking chairs, and a table just waiting for a game of gin rummy. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NO ROOM TO PARK A BOAT. Pets are allowed, but they may not be left unattended. IF YOUR PET IS NOT WITH YOU, IT MUST BE IN A CRATE. Cappy will fit four comfortably: one bedroom has a double bed; the other two twins. The couch does not pull out, but is long enough to double as a bed for one person if need be. There is one bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has an electric stove and microwave, toaster, 4-cup coffee maker, and tea kettle. There are hardwood floors throughout. There is Wi-fi, but no cable. The TV will play DVDs and VHS (we've got some classics!); you can play any number of board games or try your hand at some jigsaw puzzles. There's a large back yard with an outdoor gas grill, picnic table and fire pit. You'll have rocky beach access to the lake for swimming or sunbathing. We've got beach chairs; we highly suggest you bring watershoes. If you're craving something sandy, there are three lovely beaches 5 - 30 minutes away. Kayaks and canoes can be rented at several places within 20 minutes of the house. $50/per visit cleaning fee linens and towels provided
We are located on a dead-end quiet street. There are a few other summer residences around, but most of the folks live there year-round. People are friendly but it's important to remember that this is their neighborhood and to respect their privacy.
  • Cute little cabin right across the street from the lake! We were so busy we were basically only there to have coffee in the morning and sleep at night, but if you have time to enjoy the beach there is easy access!

  • A welcoming, quirky cottage full of vintage Adirondack atmosphere.

    Kim2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Cappy - a cozy north country camp with all the amenities. The location was perfect - near downtown Plattsburgh and next to the Grand Isle ferry. The space was well-furnished and sparkling clean, and Maureen was easy to get in touch with and provided a wealth of local information. We would love to visit again!

    Ilya2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maurene's place is an adorable cabin in a super restful area on the lake. I loved the vintage decor in the cabin. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great! The area was quiet at night making for a great sleep. We enjoyed driving around the Adirondack mountains through beautiful small towns. The place was just what I needed to come back to at the end of the day for a restful vacation in the country.

This cottage is newly renovated and very clean. The furnishings and products used in this cottage are based on our families need for comfortable and easy to clean space. I hope you enjoy it.
I love this location. A mile down the road is one of the nicest state parks in Vermont, the Alburgh Dunes State Park. It is an easy walk, as the terrain is mostly flat, or a very short drive or bike ride. For lunch, my favorite spot is the Alburgh Golf Links Club House, a very casual place with a great deck that looks south down the lake and very good food and very good prices. When I need food, my first stop is the Harborside Market 1.5 miles east, just over the bridge, in North Hero. They have all the basics and a very good deli and meat counter. The walk-in beer cooler is well stocked and there is a growler refill station here as well. Going out to dinner?Just 7 miles north of us on Route 2 is the Ransom Bay Inn. A charming refurbished stagecoach stop that has a cozy dining room and excellent food. It is our first favorite place for dinner.

Sweet alpaca fiber farm located on Lake Champlain. Cozy room with lake views, access to full kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities and high speed internet. Seperate entrance (depending on weather) and option to walk an alpaca. Local interests include Hero's Welcome a unique store with an array of food, gifts and apparel, local restaurants with delicious food and plenty of room to snowshoe, ice fish or just relax in the quiet of the islands.
  • Hannah's place is in a beautiful setting on Lake Champlain. The house has many artistic creations that make it unique and special. Can't wait to return.

    Carol2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • On the coldest night of the winter, Hannah's warmth and friendliness made us feel cozy. She took good care of us with some surprise gifts that kept us warm and gave us all of the information we needed to feel at home on the farm. The house sparkles with Hannah's funky artistic style and we slept in one of the most comfortable beds ever, topped with the warmest quilt we could hope for! In the morning it was a treat to meet the sweet alpaca herd and having Diesel the gentle giant around in the house gave us the dog-fix we always love since we can't own our own dog. North Hero is a perfect location for enjoying the lake and the natural areas throughout the Islands.

You will have complete use of the entire cottage. It is a stand alone residence and will be yours for your entire stay. This cottage has been fully renovated and includes new a tile shower that is very spacious, porcelain tile floors throughout, new kitchen appliances, cabinets and countertops. The kitchen is fully furnished and includes some spices and other items needed for cooking a delicious meal. There are four adirondack style chairs outside for sitting and enjoying the sun, breeze and view. It is a great place to enjoy a drink and food while taking in the beautiful western lake view, sunsets and birds. We have seen bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, red tail hawks, and numerous other birds. On a clear night, star gazing is amazing.
Our cottages are part of a 45 acre parcel that once was a working farm that rented cottages in the summer for additional income. The cottages have been rebuilt and the vast meadows are now used just for growing hay. So there are many forms of wildlife around. We have seen deer, fox, bald eagles, red tail hawks, osprey, any many field birds. It is fun to just sit and watch the meadows and lake. A relaxed place with friendly home Owners that enjoy meeting new people.
  • Absolutely incredible cottage and location.. The views were surreal. Super clean with a nice cozy, modern touch. So much to do within 30 minutes of the property. Will be back for sure!

  • My boyfriend and I traveled up to Vermont for a little weekend getaway. The cottage was well furnished and was a perfect size for two. Two extra twin beds as well, making the space very comfortable for 4 guests. The house had a beautiful view of the water, and was down the road from some lovely scenic overlooks. Montréal was only an hour and a half away, so we spent a nice evening there. Great spot to do fun day trips. Really enjoyed our stay.

  • David’s place was simple and elegant with absolutely stunning property views. I’ve already recommended this stay to close friends. For the area and clean space, you won’t find a better place like this for the incredible price!

  • The cabin was just as pictured. David was there as we drove up to make sure there was a light on for us and he showed us how to unlock and lock the door as well as how the heater worked and told us a bit about what was in the area. There's also a book with helpful information. The place is beautiful; there's a wonderful porch where you can sit and see the sunset on the water. There is also a deck with deck chairs outside. The beds were incredibly comfortable. There are DVD's available to watch. There is a rocky beach within a short walking distance and a State Park with a mile long sandy beach a short drive away or even within walking distance if you like to walk. It was very quiet, peaceful and relaxing spot to be. We would definitely like to come back. Thank you, David!

  • This place was an incredible value. A perfect retreat with lakefront amenities and a large private swimming pool. We used it every day to cool off and refresh. My son was in a FLW fishing tournament so the separate living areas were perfect. The style of the cottages were adorable and rustic. Plenty of seating and it was air conditioned so coming back from hiking, this was welcomed. His handyman, Eric was there each day (although he seemed to sneak in when we were gone) to maintain the pool and keep it sparkling clean. The beds were so comfy with plenty of pillows, and the linens and towels were clean and soft. If we are back in the area again, we will come here as a first choice for sure!

  • This place is a gem and we would recommend it to others. It is the perfect cabin on the lake! The deck overlooking the lake and the picnic table under the shady oak tree were my favorites. The kids loved the pool of course! Corky and Anne are wonderful hosts. They were always quick to respond and be helpful but really allowed us to use the best part of their property for our own relaxation and enjoyment! The small kitchen had all the necessary items and even a few unexpected treats! We will definitely return for more sunrises over the water, breakfasts listening to the sounds of the lake, days of sailing, and evenings of star and meteor gazing!

  • Pay cottage with amazing views. Nice pool for hot days. Fresh veggies from owners garden. Warm and welcoming hosts.

  • Place was amazing. Right on the water. It was so beautiful. Stayed here for a fishing tourney. Good location to put in on Lake Champlain. Corky was great. Communication was always quick and helpful. Would most definitely stay here again. No complaints at all!

  • Heron’s Nest was a dream come true. The cabin is right on the lake and guests have access to their swimming pool. Our kids had the time of their lives swimming in the pool and experiencing the lake. The cabin is also an hour away from Burlington, Montreal, Lake Placid, and Keene Valley. We got to check out all of these locations and at the end of the day Came back to Corky’s cozy Cabin to rest and enjoy the lake. The cabin has a kitchen and a grill so we saved a ton of money by going to a local grocery store and grilling our dinners. Corky and Anne we’re gracious hosts and made us feel extremely welcome! We hope to come back sooner rather than later!
