  • This cozy house is a perfect location to downtown Cheboygan. Close to shopping, restaurants, & the walking path. The tranquil view of the Cheboygan River was restful and beautiful every morning during sunrise and every evening during sunset. The house has all that I needed. A full kitchen, comfortable beds, fantastic shower, Internet & TV. Thanks for a comfortable stay!

  • My mom and I stayed here for her birthday over the weekend and we both agree this place was way better than a hotel any day! She loved feeling like a local with the tucked away feel this house has to it and also enjoyed being right on the water. Waking up to the sunrise over the water and ducks on the dock was super relaxing! The house was very clean and well maintained. If we are ever in the area we will for sure be staying again!

  • The place feels very homely and comfortable. The interior design is quaint and welcoming. I had an accident on my way to the cabin, immobilizing me for my stay. Even with this circumstances I had a great and relaxing time inside the cabin. The owner extended my stay for a day so I could get more rest. She was also forthcoming with checkout times since I had trouble making it time. Communication was good and prompt in general.

Enjoy our charming cottage in Northern Michigan! Located in a convenient and cozy neighborhood just blocks from downtown and the Cheboygan Opera House. We have a fenced in backyard and pets are welcome for a small fee of $30 Located 16 miles from Mackinaw City and a block from the Cheboygan river and public boat launch. My wife and I would love for you to experience the city we love. If you choose our cottage we will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable.
Our cottage is a 2 bedroom 1 bath house. It has been set up to host up to 7 people. We have a fenced in backyard with a small fire pit. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. A quick walk downtown or a short drive to hiking trails. Appoximately 16 miles to Mackinaw City makes this a great vacation base.
We love the neighborhood. Close to downtown with baseball diamonds across the street. We love walking to the local brewery and then catching a movie at the theater. If there is a show at the opera house we make sure to get tickets because it is a very quaint venue. When we have time we like to drop our kayaks in at Mullett Lake and paddle down the Cheboygan river which passes a block from our house.
  • Thanks so much for sharing your cottage with us! It met all our needs and was super comfortable and cozy-just as described. We loved the location. It was quiet and relaxing, yet close enough to everything we wanted to do. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. The backyard was fantastic, especially for our two dogs. The fence was short enough not to take away our view, but kept our big and little fur babies safely contained. Check-in was very easy and flexible. We had plenty of room, though there was just two of us. We would highly recommend Pete's cottage and if we're ever in need of a place to stay in the area again, we will for sure check to see if there is availability.

  • Host was very easy to contact and always responded quickly. House was immaculate. Location was perfect; quiet and peaceful. Excellent stay and highly recommend both Amy as a host, and her home. We will be back!

    Theresa2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This house was spacious, cozy and very clean. Quiet location and a comfortable bed, so you will sleep well! Amy was quick to respond to answer questions and was very accommodating.

    Pamela2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The Harrison House was clean with many amenities. We had 5 of us cousins who gathered to pull together a reunion. We enjoyed the Harrison House and it was convenient to all things we were doing. There was a complete kitchen for meals in, the living room & dining room were convenient to visit and talk. There were lots of things for children (we didn't have any). The weather wasn't agreeable so we didn't get to watch for wildlife or use the fire pit. We had an enjoyable stay.

    Linda2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic pet friendly home with a very communicative host. Great home

    Sasidhar2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amy has a lovely home, it is spacious and it was a great place to come back to after spending a day in Mackinac Island. Her home is very comfortable and it was well appointed. She has a great selection of pots and pans, dishes and cooking utensils. It was great to have 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Amy is also quick with her communication. I highly recommend Amy's place if your looking for a wonderful home that is centrally located for day trips you are considering.

    Clara2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our 3 generation family traveling together all thought Amy's house was perfect for us. The house, all on one level, accomodated everyone. The extras that she had for our grandson were well used (high chair, pack n play and toys). Amy available by phone for our questions. We know why Any is a super host!!

    Peg2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable! Nice to be able to visit with other family members in the living room and dining area! Would highly recommend booking this for your Mackinaw visit! Amy is very helpful!!

    Kathy2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's place gets great reviews and mine is going to be great, too. The house is very comfortable and was easy to find. The house is well stocked with everything we needed. There were six of us and a baby and we had plenty of room. Amy even provided a pack n' play when she heard we were bringing a baby. We were close enough to go to Mackinac Island and drove up to Tahquamenon Falls as a day trip from the house, and still had plenty of comfortable relaxation time in the evenings. Amy provides a book with local restaurants and information. We had a question, and Amy responded promptly when we messaged her. We were very pleased and would definitely choose to stay here again if we were in the area!

Our lakefront home with original log interior is spacious, yet cozy and charming! Ideally located minutes south of Historic Mackinaw City, and just north of it's active waterway home of Cheboygan. This home sits just a few feet from the edge of Lake Huron offering million dollar views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge, and amazing sunsets. After a fun-filled day, relax by your crackling fire, listen to waves gently lapping the shore, and watch as Great Lake Freighters slowly pass by.
We are a group of siblings sharing with you, the house we were raised in. The huge backyard offers plenty of play space. We have some outdoor sports equipment and are 1/4 mile from the Rails to Trails bike trails. Bring your kayaks and launch right out front. You can swim at your own risk ( as kids, we wore tennis shoes or swim shoes as the bottom is rocky). Within a few miles you will find live music in the parks & festivals throughout the year, beaches, boating/launches, fishing, hiking - Kayak, tube, and boat rentals -etc... in addition to the Historic State Parks, famous Mackinac Island via ferry, lighthouses, museums, Coast Guard tours and SO MUCH MORE!! We have compiled a book with local information, brochures/coupons, and contact numbers to assist you.
Although conveniently located to everything, this space is very private. You will have a small, quiet neighborhood with several neighbors to the east, but only breezes blowing through the trees on the west. Please observe a quieter time after dark.
  • This home was clean, comfortable, and set on a beautiful lot on Lake Huron. We stayed for only a weekend and so were not able to use the bicycles to explore but hope to on our next visit! The setting is wonderful and relaxing, everything we needed was inside!

    Barbara2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

  • Book this house for some guys for a work trip and they loved it. John and Kathy were fast to answer any questions and let the guys have a late check out. Thank you for the nice stay

    Jace2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was a very nice place. There was only four of us and one bedroom we didn't even touch. We had a little problem with the heater but John brought us portable heaters and first thing the next morning the heater guy was there and fixed the problem. This is a very welcoming family and a great host. Awesome place, we would stay there again if we ever get up that way again.

    Carol2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • The location is the best, if you like peaceful water views you will not be disappointed! Definitely recommend!!

    Katie2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We came here for a couples' getaway with our best friends, and it was fantastic! We were able to relax in the solitude, yet it was close to everything we wanted to do. We had no issues, but our host was quick to respond after booking and leading up to our arrival. The views of the lake are outstanding, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

    Daniel2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot share how amazing John and “The Kids” were as hosts. Mom and Dad’s house was amazing. Gorgeous view of the lake as advertised. The home was clean and cozy and reminded me of my grandparents home growing up. The cost was very affordable. Check-in was easy and convenient. Communication was quick and responsive as well. The extra added touch was the home made chocolate chip cookies. Delicious. My wife and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely return in the future and look to stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.

  • Loved staying at the Yellow House. It was clean, well laid out, and overall very comfortable and “homey.” Janet was a great host and made us feel very welcomed with her great communication and personal touches. We’d love and hope to stay again!

  • Beautiful, spacious, clean home! We walked in and immediately fell in love. The kitchen was amazing, nice and big! The gas fireplace made the living room cozy. A washer and dryer were there for our use, along with detergent and dryer sheets, which we forgot to bring with us. So many little touches around the house. The location is also amazing, we were able to visit the UP and also the Tunnel of Trees without it being too far of a distance away. We will definitely stay again!

    Annette2019-10-14T00:00:00Z

Private 5 bedroom, 2 bath home. She's very roomy, clean and super cozy, especially for a larger crowd. Lots of space for lounging around after a day of boating, beaching, riding, shopping, biking, shooting, hunting, sight-seeing, and any other fun activities you plan.
Our home sits on 17 partially wooded acres about 3 miles from downtown Cheboygan. Boat launches gaining you access to the Inland Waterway or Lake Huron are within three miles. ORV trails, bike trails and snowmobile trails are accessible as well. We are a beautiful 20 minutes ride away from the famous Mackinaw bridge, Mackinaw City and the ferry services to Mackinaw Island. Petoskey and Lake Michigan are about 45 minutes away. The house does not have air-conditioning, however there are fans in the hall closet for the windows to keep things cool in the summer.

  • Great place, comfortable and clean. We asked for a later check out and was accommodated. This is the second time we have stayed here. Anytime we come this way for work or play, we will try to rent this home. Gretchen is easy to work with and responds to questions quickly. We appreciate everything!

  • A++ host! Gretchen's place was clean, homey, private, and very comfortable with lots of space inside, and room outside for the kids to run. The swingset in the backyard was an unexpected bonus, as was the HUGE modern gas stove in the well-equipped kitchen.

There was plenty of space to accommodate our group and the location was so handy-near to mullet lake, cheboygan, mackinac city, the bridge, etc. The house was clean and supplied with everything you need for a home away from home.

Don't judge a book by its cover! This darling single-wide has had a complete overhaul, providing you with the quintessential Up North experience, with a little extra comfort. Nestled in a large, private, wooded area in a well-established neighborhood, you will have access to 4 family-friendly lakefront parks (the largest one is a short walk away). 5 minutes to Cheboygan State Park, 15 minutes to downtown Cheboygan, 30 minutes to Mackinaw City.
This is not your average trailer! Fresh, modern updates; A large eat-in kitchen; A living room perfect for gathering and connecting. This is the retreat you've been waiting for!
  • This place was perfect for a peaceful getaway! We wanted to visit Mackinac Island but didn’t want to be around a ton of people and we wanted a place in the nature where it was peaceful! This place was perfect! Right off of the water, couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

    Heather2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet, cozy getaway! If you’re looking for a place to get unplugged this is it! Tucked back in the woods, near Lake Huron, and peaceful!

    Leslie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place was very clean and tidy, the neighborhood was surrounded by trees and you are only 2 blocks from a park on the water. A little over 30mins from mackinaw city. Highly recommend and awesome price!

    Aleksandar2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay while we explored northern Michigan! The home is close enough to explore Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island and even venture to the upper peninsula of Michigan, all while providing privacy and a homely atmosphere when we wanted to relax in the evening. Kara and Pete and are very down to earth people that were great from booking to check out. My wife and I will definitely stay here again if we find our way back to Michigan in the future.

    John2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. 5 min walk from the beach and only a 30 min drive from Mackinaw City. Very clean and comfortable.

    Brenna2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a special surprise for me! We had chosen this spot for its proximity to Mackinac Island and lower cost than hotels in Mackinaw City. The drive back and forth was hardly a chore, but it is such a neat, quiet, and beautiful spot! I was so pleased with the privacy we gained from staying here vs the city, and omg the park on Lake Huron! Breathtaking! And just a five minute walk. My kids loved it. I loved it. I'm keeping it in my back pocket for future stays on my own because I have never felt so relaxed and comfortable. I love this Airbnb so much!

    Tina2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy/cute place to stay in Cheboygan. Very close to Mackinac Island and near several state parks. Kara gave us lots of good food recommendations near by. Check-in was easy and stress free. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

  • This is our second visit and we are in love with this place! We cannot wait to go back!

    Lesly2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved starting at Margi & Jessi's! The yurts are clean, comfortable, and warm, and the firepits and hammocks make for a relaxing stay. Margi and Jessi are incredibly hospitable and were full of tips on things to do on the island. We hope to be back!

    Andrea2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place for a secluded vacation! This was definitely a memorable experience. We missed the last ferry to the island but managed to find a private boat owner willing to take us out there (which is evidently rare, so check the ferry schedule!). The island is big and we didn't bring a car, but the local residents consistently picked us up and were delightful to talk to. The yurt was perfect - cozy, away from distractions, and you could breathe the fresh air and hear the waves. We walked to the beach, the tavern, and the general store. We were able to relax and refresh more than in a long time. Margi and Jess were extremely kind and the entire property felt like art.

    Tim2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The loveliest hosts! Their children were the best playmates for my daughter. The yurt and accompanying amenities were pristinely clean. Kitchen is much larger than expected and super easy to maneuver. Less off the grid than you think - the one restaurant on the island is next door (and has a great juke box), the shop is a couple miles away, and lots of people during high season.

    Aubrey2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing stay off-grid, in nature but with great commodities. Yurt is comfortable, bathroom and kitchen facilities are more than adequate. Loved the fire pit and beach access on site! Bring water shoes if you plan on swimming, make ferry reservations ASAP, and bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper (friendly rooster, fog horns, other guests, etc.). Will keep this rental in mind for future adventures.

    Gabrielle2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place A hidden gem 💎 Margi & Jessi were very wonderful people and we had the best time Thank you so much my daughter and I will be returning

    Amber2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with BBI! It was awesome and already booked out next trip in October!

    Lesly2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What Margo and Jessi have done with the property is remarkable. One can see the time and effort they put into the yurts. Valerie and myself felt welcomed and had an amazing time on the island exploring. This island is perfect for those who don’t need much to keep them entertained and to relax. We would definitely come back.

  • Great place, quiet, spacious and comfortable! Nancy is a great communicator and host!

    Karolyn2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • This rental was the perfect place for us to stay with our dogs! The home was nice, there is plenty of space, and the backyard with the lake access was great! The house was equipped with a full kitchen, including things to cook with and a coffee maker! All though there wasn't Wi-Fi and our mobile signals were pretty weak, there was TV, a DVD player, and also all sorts of local guides and flyers to help us decide what to do while in northern Michigan. Nancy was super responsive to our questions, and the neighborhood was very quiet which made for excellent dog walks. Thanks again, Nancy, next time we're in the area we will certainly try to stay here again!

    Carrie2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Nancy’s lake home! It was very clean and homey. The kitchen was well equipped for making meals. We appreciated the extras touches like the row boat, life jackets, fire pit and charcoal grill. Nancy is a great host also- she answered my Emails with record Speed!

    Laurie2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a wonderful spot for our family to relax and vacation! We loved the lake and the owners provide the opportunity to use their row boat and kayak. The cabin and property are located right on the lake. Our kids enjoyed jumping off of the dock and fishing in the row boat. The cabin has plenty of beds, a lot of space to spend together as a family (large eat in kitchen, living room to play games in, 3 season room, and a deck with BBQ grill) and a large property to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The community is nice and quiet, not a lot of noisy boats on the lake, seemed like a nice family community on the lake. Nancy went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable! She personally came over and answered our questions with how to operate the TV and her husband was able to help us find an extra oar for the row boat. All greatly appreciated! We highly recommend this place to everyone. Thanks so much for the opportunity to stay at your cabin!!!

Although there wasn’t enough snow to snowmobile in Cheboygan, it was easy to cross the bridge and find snow in Newberry! Will definitely be coming back later this winter.

  • If you want to be secluded in the middle of the woods with a bonfire every night, this is not the place for you. It is conveniently located just off downtown Cheboygan. We chose this place because of that. We went up to explore many different places. The house is older and a few things weren’t ideal but overall it was good and was very clean upon our arrival. The deck is awesome and the outdoor furniture was very nice. It was nice to have a gas grill too! We were there on a very odd, freakishly hot and humid week and walked into a sweltering hot house. It would have been nice if that had been turned on for us. The house was well equipped (note to Mary: there was no veggie peeler in the kitchen) there were a ton of towels, washcloths, etc...and most importantly, they were soft and good quality. (Very important to me and I’m sure a lot of people) There are bars, restaurants and grocery stores all super close by and convenient. Lastly, our host Mary was great! Super fast to answer any questions we had. Pretty much hands off. Just available if you needed her. On a fun note, we met her Mother in Law at the Fourth of July parade! Her best friend owned the house for many years and she told us some sweet stories. Loved it!

  • At Mary’s place you can expect quick responses beautiful surroundings and a restful time with great beds to sleep in. My 9 guest crew was very pleased and had plenty of room to enjoy our time together!

  • A beautiful and relaxing place to stay. Fairly close to the hot spots but far enough away from them to keep it peaceful. Cheboygen is a nice quiet little town with really friendly people. Mary's correspondence is always quick and to the point. If I ever make it back to the Mackinac area I will definitely be contacting Mary for a place to stay!

This cozy cottage is romantic, full of charm and character. We are open year round starting 2019! The owner is an artist and her attention to detail and creative flair are evident everywhere. There are beautiful Lake Huron views from every room. It is located 7 miles from Mackinaw City. You’ll love this place because of the quaintness, comfy bed, coziness, and the views. It's is well suited for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families. Pet are considered.
This lovingly maintained cottage is a family treasure! The owner acquired this property from her parents many years ago. They were both musicians (pianist and violinist) and the cottage was aptly named "Allegro". The owner recalls her father spending his evenings practicing his violin at the waters edge. Whether you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to relax or a comfortable place to enjoy your loved ones or friends, this is the place. The views of Lake Huron, Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge are spectacular. The cottage boasts large windows which allow not only the summer breezes off the Lake but impeccable views. The cottage comes well equipped and provides all the comforts of home. The kitchen is small but functional. The living room and dining area provide a carefree gathering place. The yard is spacious and there are plenty of shady trees for warm days. The cottage was remodeled by a Northern Michigan craftsman and the quality of his work is evident. There are wood plank floors and a beautifully designed kitchen and bathroom. The cottage is small but comfortable for 2-3 adults or 2 adults and up to 2 children. Pets are considered on a case by case basis and there is an extra nightly charge of $25. Please let me know if you are interested in bringing your pet. The cottage is now available year round so enjoy the peace and quiet of Mackinaw in the Fall and Winter as well! The cottage is directly across the road from a 60 mile all purpose trail so hike, bike, snowshoe or snowmobile at your pleasure!
The cottage is easy to find, located on US 23 halfway between Mackinaw City and Cheboygan. There are endless possibilities for activities in the area - shop, dine, golf, antiquing, para-sail, hike, swim, cycle, kayak/canoe, boating, fishing - the list goes on and on. There is a 62 mile crushed stone hike/bike/snow mobile trail across the street from the cottage so feel free to bring your equipment. Bring your own kayaks and canoes which can be launched from the beach.
  • Allegro was just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway! Everything was sparkling clean and the cabin was so cozy! We will definitely be back

  • Peaceful, beautiful cottage.

    Dianne2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely Labor Day weekend up north get away! The location was perfect and close driving distance to everything, also you have your own private beach which was great for our paddle board. Very cozy cabin, would definitely stay again!

    Jessica2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Allegro cottage was a great getaway for our family. The water is wonderful and close, and the cottage is comfortable and welcoming. Close enough to amenities, but far enough for quiet.

    Acer2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was hard to leave it was so cozy!

    Jeff2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I could not have picked a better location. The Allegro cottage is so cozy and relaxing it was difficult to leave and explore the area. It is a short drive to so many attractions, restaurants and shops. I loved the short walk down the yard to the lake shore and the views from the house are beautiful. We decided to stay in the area an extra day and our host Diane was happy to allow another night in the cottage. The trip to Northern Michigan was perfect.

    Tracy2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful little cottage that suited our vacation perfectly. It is located close to the sites and activities we wanted to visit, but far enough away to have a secluded feel. I would recommend the Allegro to anyone wanting a quiet retreat after a day spent taking in the sites of Northern Michigan.

Black River Retreat! Located on the beautiful black river, this cottage is conveniently located to many 'up North' amenities. Winter enthusiasts enjoy snowmobiling & snow shoeing right outside your door! Skiers are a short drive away from Nubs Nob, The Boynes, Treetops, Otsego Club and more. Summer enthusiasts enjoy the river - fishing, boating, kayaking. Mackinac Island and other destinations are within short driving distances. This quiet cottage is truly an up North retreat.
  • An amazing spot to get away up north with solid amenities, beautiful river view, and convenient location to visit Mackinac Island. Highly recommend!

    David2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is really a good place to live, the location is perfect and the amenities are fantastic, and the host is nice and easy to communicate. Thanks for giving us this perfect trip!

  • Great place right on the river! The house is perfect location and very inviting. Cathy did a great job at staying in contact with any questions that I had.

  • Great location! Sparkling clean, we love this place! We recommend to take your boat with you.

    Stanislav2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clean 2 bedroom 1 bathroom house with shower, no tub. Spacious inside and out. We loved our stay in Cathy's place on the Black River! Bring split firewood with you, or bring a hatchet to split the wood that was provided, for a 10.00 donation, if used.

    Terry2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a long weekend or week. We were pleasantly surprised seeing the property in person. The outside had a large green space with fire pit, great view of the river and wrap-around deck for eating and watching sunsets. There is a steep grassy hill that leads to the dock with a 3 person canopy swing chair. Great dock for a boat rental, kayak, canoe, etc. The interior was spacious and airy. It had a large living room with walls of windows and big screen TV. Full size kitchen stocked with supplies. Plenty of seating both inside and outside and nicely decorated. This property is great for a family with one master bedroom and one bedroom with bunk beds. However, there is only one bathroom which has a small shower. The property is set in a beautiful and small countryside neighborhood on the black river, but only 5-10 mins to Walmart, groceries, fast food restaurants and package stores. It's also 30 mins to Mackinaw City and the Ferry. Also recommend kayaking on the Indian River, which is only 18 mins away (Lincoln at Brass Wind Landing was great!). Cathy is a wonderful host and looking forward to staying here in the future.

  • Cole has great responsiveness, and was flexible as our arrival got pushed back later than we expected. He had to enter the space during our stay, but he made sure to inform us before doing so. I think he has one of the better BnB's in the Cheboygan are, and I would stay at his place again. He was a great host!

  • This a very nice place to stay in the heart of Cheboygan. There are lots of fun things to do in the area year round. I especially like the size of the house, which allowed the family room to spread out a little—much nicer than hotel rooms. The owner and his family are very friendly and eager to help if you have any issues.

  • The farmhouse is amazing. Very comfortable, quiet and in a beautiful country setting. We could not have asked for a better host. Paula was quick to respond to inquiries and offered helpful information about the surrounding area. Although the house is on a country road, it is only 10 minutes or so from stores and restaurants. If cooking on vacation is your thing🙂, it also has all the kitchen amenities you would need to prepare meals. It is also about 20 minutes drive to Mackinaw City where you can take a ferry to Mackinac Island, which is a must-see while in the area. I highly recommend the farmhouse.

  • It was my first time in a RV and I was a bit apprehensive with a 3 year old kid in the trip. However, wanted to give it a try anyways. It turned out to be such a memorable experience to cherish forever. The RV was clean with all amenities available on board(surprisingly), the heater worked great, vessels and important stuffs for cooking available along with the grill available etc. It was more than what I expected. It's all safe with a kid as well. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Just go blind folded and you will enjoy the experience. Above all, close to zero light outside over the night, made me watch milky way galaxy which had been my dream for 35 years.

  • Great place off the beaten path which is exactly what we were looking for. Nichole added nice personalized touches. Shower/tub was small, but expected for a camper. I just had never stayed in a camper before so I didn’t realize how small it would be. It was all good though. Highly recommend!

Simplicity By Design. Enjoy the simplicity of your own Yurt with amazing views of The Straits Of Mackinaw. Unique, simple and beautiful, listen to the sounds of the water while you sleep. Embrace all the island has to offer, a hidden treasure for the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, biking - it is all here for you to enjoy. Private yurt with shared outdoor kitchen space, heated shower and outhouse. Make this the perfect couples getaway, or rent all 3 and bring family and friends! Off-Grid
  • We had a fantastic time staying with Margi and Jessi! The yurt was clean and comfortable, even in cooler weather. They were fantastic hosts, and took great care of us. Plenty of amenities, from the outdoor kitchen (with outlet, so you can charge your phone, if need be) to the heated shower. As for the island...holy cow. Friendliest people, unbelievable serenity and beauty on Bob-Lo. If you want to go off the grid, this is the place for you. And the stars at night were something I’ll never forget. Not only are we planning on coming back, we may have found our retirement spot!

    Cody2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Fun place. Will be back.

    Charles2019-09-01T00:00:00Z

  • Stay at Margi and Jessi's place if you want a tranquil, comfortable, zero-hassle weekend on Bois Blanc Island. Their place was exactly what I was looking for. All I wanted to do was spend the weekend sleeping in, reading, and being left alone, and I was able to accomplish those goals magnificently. If you're into sorta hippie art, they have a shop full of art they created there on the island.

    Reed2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Instead of a camping trip, my son casually suggested we go glamping. I laughed & replied that I didn't think glamping was available in the areas we were interested in going. Oh boy was I wrong!!! First of all, we never even thought about going to Bois Blanc Island. But we came across this property on the AirBnB site, & we were instantly intrigued. THIS IS GLAMPING FOLKS!!! The yurts were beautiful & so clean. Beds & bedding were so comfortable. Although it was a vault toilet, it was the cleanest & nicest I've ever used. The screened in kitchen was amazing. But what I will remember the most are the hosts. Margi & Jsssie are the most amazing humans. As others had stated in their reviews, they made us feel like part of the family. My kids played with their kids. They played with the chickens like they had known them forever (probably didn't hurt that they kept feeding them😉). And we LOVED the art gallery & made many purchases. Margi & Jessie told us about all the good spots on the island. We met some other people on our adventures around the island. And by the time our stay had come to end, we felt like we knew all the island folk. Highly recommend If we ever come back to Bois Blanc, there is no question about where we will stay. ❤❤❤❤

  • The yurts are such a fun way to enjoy the outdoors without actually camping. We had such a great time and Margi & Jessi were so welcoming and attentive if we needed anything. Clean bathroom area, stocked kitchen, anything you really need for an outdoor stay. We had beatiful weather so we got to enjoy Lake Huron. Also, they were very welcoming of our two dogs. Thank you for hosting us!

My place is close to Black Mountain Recreation Area, Black River and Mullett Lake. I sit at the entrance of the trail system, you can park your tailor on my property for convenience. You’ll love my place because of privacy, location and outdoor space! You can quad, dirt bike, side by side, boating and snowmobiling. This is an outdoors enthusiast paradise to hunt, fish, hit the trails or go boating! I am 35 minutes away from Mackinaw City & U.P. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
I am on 3 acres of property, plenty of area to move around and spacious enough to accommodate tailors w/outdoor toys. The apple trees on the property bring in all kinds of wild life to view, across the street is a walking path, park and pavilion. , My place is cozy and comfortable, very quite and private.
Across the street is a park open to the public. It has a pavilion with electricity, playground for kids, tennis courts, basketball hoops, sand volleyball, walking path and bathrooms. Next door is a small convenience store, they carry just about everything and movie rentals too.
  • We really enjoyed the relaxing getaway we were hoping to experience. Quiet and cozy, surrounded by trees and nature. Well equipped and had everything we needed to make our visit wonderful. We hope we can get back again.

  • A great place for anyone who wants to be close to an ORV trail! The large parking area gives you plenty of room to maneuver a trailer around and the ORV trail is right down the street. A great place to stay while getting that “up north” experience and enjoying the fall colors. Brenda is a great host and easy to get a hold of if you have any questions.

  • Absolutely wonderful

    Sam2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda's place was super nice for my co-worker and I. We enjoyed having the peace of the woods and the nights when the sky was clear the stars put on quite the show. Plenty of ammenities for groceries, and supplies not far away. The space was a little older, but the home touch feelings made for a very relaxing stay.

    Timothy2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect and clean as described and very nice host

    Goutham2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place in a private area . Short drive to Cheboygan . Party store less than a mile away . 2 restaurants within 5 miles . Snowmobile trails and dirt bike trails about 1 mile away can ride there legally on the road .

    Daniel2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Clean comfortable spacious and private. A real getaway with all the perks of home. Quiet and cozy, grocery store a mile away with everything you need to make your visit wonderful. Enough restaurants in the area to eat out with a variety. This city girl appreciated that the water didn't taste or smell like well water. I'll be back to visit again in another season. I was blessed with 2 clear summer nights where I enjoyed a backyard campfire and a million stars. total peace and relaxation.

  • Brenda’s home is the perfect place for an up north get away. Its totally private but still close enough to town and especially close to Mackinac! You can enjoy your morning coffee on the huge deck out back with all of the trees. And there’s a very nice fire pit towards the edge of the property. My fiancé and I very much enjoyed our stay and will consider this place if we are up in the area again!

  • House is very well equipped and very close to town

    Jerry2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Pam's place. The house was cute and very clean. We especially liked the bathroom, which was large, immaculate, and stunning! The house was well stocked, with all the towels, sheets, dishes, plastic food storage bags, and other items we needed. Check-in was easy, though it took us a few minutes to make sure we were at the correct house. Next time we'll check the mailbox number first! :) We may just not have set things up correctly, but the internet was a little too slow to watch TV without lots of pauses for loading. However, this did not diminish our fun at all, since there was plenty to do. We were incredibly pleased with our stay and highly recommend staying here.

  • This place was better than expected!

    Narumi2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Pam and Chet were wonderful and friendly hosts! Their farm house was clean and comfortable. They made our stay very pleasant and provided us with all the necessities (ie washer/dryer, linen, wood) we needed to make our mini family vacation as fun as it was. They were kind enough to drop by to deliver dry wood for our fire. We enjoyed the fire pit, grilling out on the nice patio, seeing the farm animals and even playing with the friendly black cat.

    Jensine2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house is amazing. We had 7 people and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have their own space if needed. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone coming to the area!

    Angela2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • The house was amazing!! We were thoroughly impressed by the updates to the house!!! The little ones loved the animals and the grown ups loved being in a nice quiet farm setting to helped us relax!! Pam and Chet were very friendly and spoiled the kids by letting them feed the sheep, horses, and alpacas!!! We loved the place and if we come back next year hope to stay again!!

We needed more necessities, so we ordered from the Family Fare grocery store and it came over on the ferry. We bought farm fresh eggs from the lady on the island. We boated to Mackinac island on a calm day and spent our day there. Margi's cabin was just right for us. Laid back cabin on a laid back island. It was a wonderful stay! We'll be back one day!

  • We decided to come up north for a weekend away from kids and to “quarantine” amid the COVID-19 scare. So glad we did, the place was perfect and clean.. Though every attraction and such was closed, the grocery stores were open. We will be back this summer to enjoy with a larger group. Can’t give a good enough review for this place and the hosts. Thank you!!

  • Donald’s place was the perfect place to meet up with friends and relax for a few days. The kitchen was great and was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals. The location was awesome too. Right across from the lake and a nice little river running through the back yard. A very peaceful place to spend the weekend.

  • Amazing cabin. Secluded, well equipped, great amenities for the stay. Breathtaking scenery during winter. Not too far from town to get supplies. Very spacious and cozy. Our kids had a blast out at the snow and inside playing the board games the host provided. Kitchen completely equipped. Sparkling clean all around. Definitively will come back!

    Carlos2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin. Very cozy and comfortable. Donald and Monique were very easy to communicate with. I would definitely book this place again.

  • This cabin was great. I highly recommend. It was very clean, and the hosts had so many thoughtful little extras in place to make the stay even more enjoyable. With the snowmobile trail right out front it makes the cabin a great escape any time of the year. And, with its location to the bridge, island, skiing areas and state parks, you could stay there for days and stay busy.

    Annette2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spacious and well appointed cabin in a secluded area. Best features are location and large space. The cabin could use a bit of updating but is still very nice.

  • Great place! Plenty of room for everyone. It is in a great location to have peaceful family time and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings but also within a short driving distance to many attractions. Would definitely recommend.
