Sandy's first and only Tiny House! Although this home is located just a mile from Hwy 26 within Sandy's city limits, it's located on a private 23 acres, so you'll feel completely secluded. This makes it the perfect place to stay while visiting the Mt. Hood area. The tiny house was built to capture the amazing view of Mt. Hood. The home was designed around a moving window wall system that completely opens to the outdoors allowing for one of the best views of Mt. Hood. We hope you enjoy!!!
This is the first and only Tiny house in the Sandy area! A unique cabin feel made with natural cedar siding, reclaimed hardwood floors and doors, live edge counters, and beautiful craftsman handiwork throughout. There is no place like it!!
This beautiful tiny house is located in Sandy city limits with restaurants and stores nearby, but on a remote 23 acres. 30 minutes from Mt. Hood and skiing. 10 minutes from world class hiking/mountain biking. Also only 40 minutes to downtown Portland and PDX airport. The perfect in between location for outdoorsy adventure and city glam! We live just a mile off highway 26 but at the end of a short private road out on a bluff. It is very remote and extremely quite!!!
  • What a find! This tiny house was the perfect, peaceful, scenic, stylish weekend escape. Stunning Mt Hood view. Great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • The tiny house is a wonderful place to stay. It’s not too far from Portland as well and it has a beautiful view!

  • If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. This is the perfect house for a couple looking to getaway for a few days. Kim is a wonderful hostess. She gave us great info on local restaurants and things to do. She was always timely in communication and made check-in/out extremely easy. The house itself was spotless and beautiful inside. The view is breathtaking of course, and the fireplace completes the cabin vibe. I really hope we make it back here sometime in the future.

  • Amazing view and solitude. Quiet and very nice and cozy. A real jewel in the AirBnB experience. It fed my soul.

    Greg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot to slow down and enjoy an incredible view. We packed our own meals and cooked on the kitchenette. A short drive dropped us up on mt hood for a liesurely walk around trillium lake.

  • I would definitely recommend anybody to stay in Jonathan's place. It feels comfortable and private. Has all of the amenities you could need. Great price!

  • Wonderful place with excellent value! I will say that if you are over 5’6”, you’ll have a great time in the shower.

    Alicia2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan’s place provides a lot of space and conveniences very close to several PDX bus stops. The washer and dryer are in the lower level which is the one I rented. I was there in July/August so the lower level apartment was nice and cool. The neighborhood is peaceful and it is a quick walk to Rite Aid, McGraff’s Fish House, Dollar Store etc. I utilized TriMet for many trips to Oregon City, Sellwood, and Portland. I was amazed at how many transit trip options were within a short walking distance — this is not a one-bus line location, so use your Smartphone to find the quickest trip.

    Michael2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Simple basement apartment with full bathroom and easy (and free) washer/dryer access. Everything you need, Jonathan is easy to deal with and prompt, and the price is great!

Our cozy modern pet-friendly cabin has been remodeled top to bottom. It has an open floor plan and will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is a full sized bed located in the loft, plus two twin size sofa beds in the living room. Sandy Ridge Trail is right around the corner, Wildwood Park is just across the way, and Mt Hood is a short 15 minute drive. Close to some great Eats and Drinks.
The cabin is approximately 500 square feet, situated on .33 acres, in an older neighborhood of log cabins and homes. The back of the property is extremely private and overlooks a year round creek and lush forest. We have a well equipped small kitchen offering French Press Coffee, Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper. The cabin is equiped with Wifi, Bose Soundlink Speaker and Jotul Wood Stove. No TV and No Microwave. The space is very open. Privacy from your cabin mates is essentially limited to the bathroom. The sleeping loft is open to the kitchen below, and has an opening to living room. We have shades on the front of the house but have left the living room open to the beautiful forest in back. Our cabin has an open loft, ladders, and a wood stove. It may not be suitable for younger children. Please contact me with any questions.

  • We had a great time and would’ve stayed longer if we could. Thanks again!

    Michelle2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin in the woods was a perfect getaway. My boyfriend and I traveled to mount hood for a few days and the cabin is close enough and easy enough to get to from there. The wood fire place and hot tub were great to use after hiking in the snow. We watched dvds since there was such a large selection. We only had one small issue regarding the shower / toilet system but they responded almost immediately to fix the issue. I would definitely recommend. A little hard to find at first because the address on google maps has you trying to drive through the woods but it was easy enough to find on our own without maps. I suggest not checking in the first time after dark as it gets very dark out there!

    Sarah2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so CUTE and cozy! I felt right at home! The only thing that could have made our stay better is knowing before hand how close our neighbors were going to be (please update photos for future guests). Thanks for letting us stay in your amazing cabin! We loved the magical trail to the river through lush trees. (The river is not in your backyard though, its a walk but worth it!)

    Jewel2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute cabin in what feels like far into the woods. Hot tub was awesome and private and really nice to have everything in the kitchen for us to use. Would stay here again for sure.

Coziest & cutest cabin in the village of Government Camp. Truly a rare gem in a superb location. Quick walk to historic Government Camp, restaurants, stores, and Ski Bowl Adventure Park. Short drive to the ski resorts, mountain lakes, scenic hikes & bike trails. Oversized and super steamy hot tub is the ultimate place to unwind after a long day taking in the mountain.
The cabin is in the village of Government Camp. There are other cabins nearby. You can walk to National Forest Land from the cabin in just a few minutes. You can also walk to center of town in about 5 minutes. It's an amazing walk in both directions as you're looking at mountains and there is often snow.
  • We loved our 2 night stay in March. There was still plenty of snow to play in but it was pretty private and quite. It was very clean and the bed were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.

    Alina2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Amanda's cabin! The hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing, and we loved that they supplied robes and sandals as well. The cabin had all of the small touches that provided a cozy stay for us, and we definitely hope to return again soon!

    Carolyn2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great Camp right in Govie. Perfect access to all Mt. Hood has to offer.

    Caitlin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great mountain cabin with the coziest, most comfortable bedrooms and a great wood stove. Small kitchen but it has everything you need, and a washer dryer too. The hot tub is a huge bonus after a day of skiing. Location is perfect, quiet but short walk to center of town and to the Multorpor sledding area. Only suggestion is for a comfier sofa (seat cushions don’t stay on). Thank you for a great stay, we will be back.

  • Great place, good directions about the place.

  • Beautiful cabin, great location, Wonderful hosts! We are so happy to have been able to stay a night in this beautiful place. Thank you!

    Jennifer2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place! It was snowy when we arrived, very cute cabin! The place warmed up quick with the fire place and wall heaters. The living room is very cozy and kitchen is well stocked with appliances, spices and dish ware. Upstairs bed was comfy and water pressure is great. We stayed here for a work retreat, used the dinning room table as a work space and was able to walk to town for breakfast one morning. Hot tub was awesome but a little hard to get into. We would consider renting again!

    Mimi2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third stay at the cabin and it was just as relaxing as before! The hot tub is amazing and private. The fireplace made for great evenings and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We’ll definitely be back!

Lots of dishes, silverware, some spices & dish soap. Coffee pot, blender and toaster. Pots, pans and a crock pot. 3 piece bathroom has towels, toilet paper and soap. • Super cozy and relaxing place. A wonderful weekend getaway. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfy coach, wilderness view from the window and the hot tub in the middle of the woods. I would recommend staying at least for two nights and a full day, one night is not enough to utilize the value of the place.

    Sinem2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Sylvia's cabin for two nights as a little get-away for my girlfriend's birthday and it was perfect for us. Only 20-25 minutes to snowboarding, an intimate little hot-tub under the trees, and a wood stove to cozy-up inside was all we were looking for and this was definitely the spot. Will be back when we need another retreat.

    Ed2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even cuter in person. I loved how secluded it felt, and there were cute little touches everywhere. I plan to be back.

  • The place is cute and well equipped. The location is perfect and private and the hosts were very attentive and generous. [The area does have a power issue here and there but they made sure we were taken care of when the next morning the power turned off for a bit. It really didn't cause us any issues because we had such great hosts. ] I would definitely stay again. The privacy and perks definitely exceeded our expectations!

Quiet dead end road within walking distance to The Salmon River
  • Amazing place to stay. Secluded but just a mile from a great hiking trail by the Salmon River, super easy access to Mt Hood and Ntnl Forest trails, and a lovely cabin with everything you need. It was just my wife and I with our dog, but would be just as comfortable with another couple or a few others. The master bed was crazy comfortable, evenings in the hot tub were relaxing, and the early spring chill wasn’t bad with the woodstove going. Jana’s binder is full of trail maps and brochures of things to do in the area, the kitchen is plenty big enough to prepare meals, and our dog enjoyed open space in the yard. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

  • SUCH a great stay. I have a lot of great things to say, but I wrote a review already, and it got deleted as I was navigating the page. So this will be my second time writing this. The beds! Super comfy and warm. The wood fireplace is amazing as well. Perfect for cold nights. The hot tub was perfect for after trips to the snow nearby! The location is excellent. RIGHT next to the historic timberline lodge where filming for the shining took place. Again, there’s so much to say about the space but Long story short, you’ll just have to check it out for yourself. Highly recommended P.s. this was my first air bnb experience. And I’d say it was pretty good!

  • What a cozy and wonderful space. I love the layout and we all had a lovely time! Will definitely go back someday.

    Talia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful getaway, very close to some amazing hikes with incredible views. Hot tub felt great after a long day outside, and we ate at the local restaurants each night. Last night we had a nice fire and stayed cozy, it was a lovely trip.

The curtains black out the bedroom for a very good sleep, the space heaters are essential and definitely recommend keeping the fire going - though you may want to bring your own paper and matches. Great stove, nice tub, the hot tub was wonderful. WiFi strong

  • This cabin is beautiful! A wonderful retreat tucked away in Zig Zag with a fireplace, hot tub, and lovely kitchen. Everything you need to destress. It's nearby are some beautiful hiking trails. The hot tub here is a wonderful relaxing addition. The cabin is a tad on the colder side so bring some sweaters, but we loved curling up by the fire to warm up after a long hike. What a lovely retreat!

  • we had a wonderful time, the hot tub was a godsend with that chilly weather. and our dog LOVED the big back yard. and we loooved how cozy and cute it all was. we’re hoping to make this trip happen more often.

  • Loved this place. Perfect retreat from the busy city. Hot tub under the big trees on the porch was amazing. My husband and I loved playing games and listening to old school records on the awesome record player. Our dogs loved running around in the back yard (not fenced so we had to keep a close eye on them). It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the skyway bar and grill, which we did a couple of times. Love this place! We'll be back!

  • Wonderful cozy cabin!! My partner and I became fiancés at sunset on a hiking trail and came back to a very welcoming, romantic, quiet, stylish cabin. Beautiful decor and a great location! ❤️💍😌

  • Amazing space! The views were incredible. Location was perfect, tucked away in the beautiful hills, about 40 mins to downtown Portland, and very private and quiet. Perfect spot the watch the sunset! This was the perfect place for a mountain getaway, can’t recommend this plan enough!

  • Amazing modern home!!! We absolutely loved our stay. It was crystal clean in a home that seems brand new. It was so nice to open the blinds in the morning and just let the serenity of the location fill you with peace. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

  • This place was our last stop on our “Oregon tour”. And I’m so happy that it was the last stop. This place is so serene we never left the compound. It will really take your breath away. Andy decorated the place very modern, clean and simple. We wish we lived in a place like this in real life. This spot is about 20-30 min away from Portland and we would stay here Again and again

  • This is a wonderful place for a quiet getaway from the busyness of life. Great for a “stay-in” trip where you want to just sit and relax. Has a beautiful view that will leave you in awe. The space is well thought out and is very comfortable. It’s a “studio” with a separated bedroom and easy access to the washer and dryer in unit.

This is a sweet tiny cottage. Basic, well planned, wooded nook.
We are located in the country, 7 miles from downtown Sandy and 4 miles from the nearest gas station and convenience store. The snug is situated about 100 feet from the main house and is accessed by a trail. It's the perfect place to stay if you are looking to disconnect and experience simple living. Deer can sometimes be seen roaming outside the window.
  • Such a great stay with a very thoughtful host. We came up to take engagement photos and rented the tiny house. Beth decided to upgrade us to her other bnb that had a bathroom so we could get ready. So thoughtful and kind. The room was nice and warm all night, she gave us recommendations for food which was absolutely delicious and not too far. Overall an excellent stay. Would highly recommend.

    Jaimalyn2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Snug as described! Beth checked us in and made sure everything was good!

    Jordan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place was super cozy and inviting. The place stayed warm on a chilly night, and Beth was very communicative and made check in and check out easy. The bed was comfortable and she had lovely amenities like several varieties of tea that made it feel like home. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

    Michelle2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beth's place is like heaven on earth! In the morning, the sun was shining through the mist and it felt magical. The cats wandering the property and saying hello was a bonus. Our little chihuahua really enjoyed walking the paths on the property. The tiny house was comfy and warm. Staying at Beth's had the benefits of camping (being in nature) but without the fuss. Thanks Beth for sharing your beautiful property with us!

    Vanessa2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The host Beth is absolutely the sweetest lady ever. She has amazing pets all over the place which made things extremely cozy. The location is breath taking with all the trees surrounded the tiny house. I’m definitely coming back again.

Welcome to our farm and Lille Hus! First, rest easy knowing that we deep clean with bleach and other anti-viral's between EVERY guest. Second, we want you to enjoy this wonderful area! Our 100+ acre farm is about 5 miles NE of Mt. Angel, Oregon and sits in the beautiful Willamette Valley. Easy walking trails are close by and we are nicely located to many of the amazing attractions in the area. We are 10 miles east from the I5, Woodburn exit and 2 miles from the metropolis, Monitor.
Lille Hus (Norwegian for little house) was part of the original home on this century farm. It is a single room with kitchenette and small bathroom with shower only (Approx. 20' x 15'). Though it is rustic, it has a beautiful wood floor, original cabinets, the original wavy glass windows and thoughtful furnishings. From the house, you can explore our small woodlands or take a bike ride on rural back roads. It's also a great base camp for exploring the best of the Willamette Valley and the Cascade Range. We are happy to tell you about our favorite hikes and hidden places. We're minutes from the Oregon Garden, Mt. Angel Oktoberfest, Swan Island Dahlias, and the Wooden Shoe Tulip festival. If you catch us on "baking day" you will find goodies on the counter. :^)
We are in a rural farming area, about a 15 minute drive from the nearest grocery store. With this in mind, we have attempted to give Lille Hus many essentials (oil, sugar, spices, etc) to make your stay comfortable. If you have specific questions about what the house has in stock, please let us know.
  • Absolutely fantastic Airbnb experience. The house is so cute, so comfortable, and the hosts are so welcoming and hospitable. Great people and great place to stay. Hope to be back!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our night's stay at Scott & Kathy's cottage. The description is very accurate and the nice touches and treats at the place were pleasing. We are already planning a return visit during the nearby tulip festival. We recommend this stay for people who appreciate the farm environment and the nostalgia that comes with such a vintage dwelling. The place is spotless and very comfortable, and we loved the view out the windows. Definitely take the well-marked hike to the creek and plan to have a picnic at the nearby picnic table in the woods. In contrast, the Airbnb we stayed at later on the Oregon Coast was 100% IKEA and Wayfair and very impersonal. We much preferred the farm stay! One tip is to try to arrive at the farm in daylight. After dark, finding the place would be more challenging. The Google Maps and GPS are accurate, but you still feel off the beaten path.

    Wesley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic Airbnb experience! Scott and Kathy's place is quaint, the amenities are abundant and thoughtful, communication is on point, price is very reasonable and they are very nice hosts. I've been in a different Airbnb once a week for the past 4 weeks for work trips and this is by far my favorite. I hope to stay again on my next work trip!

  • Cloie and Michael's place is such a cozy spot! It's well stocked with kitchen equipment, has super soft towels for the shower, and soft flannel sheets on the bed was a great touch! We thought the water stopped in the kitchen and they were quick to respond and make sure everything was working. Their place is so welcoming, my husband and I mostly stayed inside cuddled on the couch with the many blankets provided, and the ambiance of the wood stove! We did get out one day and do some hiking and the location proved to be a good spot. Also, you must go to the Skyway and try the garlic cheesy fries and cheeseburger! We'll be back, thanks Cloi and Michael.

  • My girlfriend and I booked the Happy Nest so that we could have a weekend getaway in the woods. And we could not have gotten a better deal. Such an amazing cabin as soon as we stepped inside it felt like home. So close to Mt. Hood and all that it has to offer. We had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a cabin in the woods.

    Jaron2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin for 2 people to spend some time in the mountains! A short drive to ski lodges and there’s a cute restaurant with live music within walking distance. We’ll be back!

    Ashley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin in the forest was a perfect place to stay in the winter time. It looked straight out of a Christmas card. Proximity to both the wilderness around Mt. Hood and to a town with plenty of restaurants and stores. The little "wood" burning stove in the middle of the place was just adorable. She even has a complete set of Merry Mushroom canisters! My friend and I decided to stay here and go skiing. Unfortunately my friend, who left after me, did not clean up the place as she promised she would. I'm upset about this as I would consider staying here again, without said friend !

    Sara2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I loved the cabin. They do a great job of keeping cost down, however be aware once you choose your bed it is $20 to switch to the other one. Lots of helpful information provided about local activities and attractions. Don’t forget to take the walk by the river!

**We want to ensure guests the cabin is professionally cleaned & all surfaces are sanitized.** Hear the peaceful Sandy River from this knotty pine 1930's cabin with blue tin roof, on historic Barlow Trail Rd. This cozy cabin is filled with plants, vintage, & mid century decor. Get warm by the wood stove, & watch it rain or snow from the large picture windows. Enjoy the spacious kitchen with new appliances. Relax in the tranquil outdoor space among ferns, cedar trees, fire pit, & bbq.
This cabin is perfect for a couple, 2 couples, (3 couples if one sleeps on futon in living room), a friends weekend, or a family. We have 2 bedrooms (1 with Q and 1 with K), plus a very nice Q futon in the living room, and a twin air mattress if you need it. The space is open, yet cozy, charming with a rustic feel, but has modern amenities like dishwasher and new mattresses. The back lawn is peaceful and you can hear the Sandy River! Watch from the large picture windows as the rain or snow falls while you sit by the wood stove, or use the ROKU to enjoy some movies or tv! We are set back away from the road, but you can hear traffic from Barlow Trail Rd if you are in the front yard or have the front windows open...but if you are in the backyard, or only have the river-facing windows open, you mostly only hear the river! You can see two somewhat distant neighbors through the trees in the winter, but in the spring and summer, you don't see neighbors due to foliage. HEAT: The home will be around 60 degrees when you arrive. You'll need to follow instructions to turn on other heaters to heat the home, and in winter months, you will most likely need to start a fire. If you plan to use our wood, you may need to chop larger pieces with our splitting mull. The electric heat sources can heat the home to around 65 in living room area, and 70 in bedrooms. Some guests have found the living room area to be chilly without using the wood stove. The wood stove can heat the entire cabin on it's own if you keep it going. It’s so cozy & sometimes too hot! We provide wood for guests from October-April for guests who plan to use the wood stove as their SOLE source of heat, but please bring your own newspaper and kindling. In the cabin, there are detailed instructions for how to use the wood stove effectively. If you plan to use the woodstove from May-September, you’ll need to bring your own wood. More often than not, we can offer late check-out or early check- in, just ask :)
We are located on the historic Barlow Trail Route, part of the Oregon Trail. You can hear the Sandy River from our home. We do not have riverfront property, but you can hear the river and there are public access points for hiking and a beautiful beach within a mile of our home! The rustic & cool Brightwood tavern is 1.5 miles away, as well as the Brightwood general store. The home is located within 2 miles of the Sandy Ridge Trailhead - a network of mountain biking and hiking trails. We are 5 minutes from Thriftway in Welches, 10 minutes from Skyway Bar, and 20 minutes to Government Camp.
  • Fantastic space with great access to Mt. Hood and local hiking, skiing, sledding and general outdoor enjoyment. The space is super cozy, so great to come back to after a day out and about.

  • I always stay at a cabin on Mt Hood for my Birthday and this was a fantastic find. I took full advantage of the wood stove, which heated up the main area within an hour. I appreciated having access to wood for the stove and I found out that I like chopping wood so much that I chopped a bunch for the folks staying after me. The kitchen was huge and was stocked with all the right pots, pans, coffee maker (and french press) as well as silverware, cutting board, cooking utensils, etc. Also, the fridge makes its own ice which I think is a nice perk for, you know...cocktails. The cabin also is quirky in terms of which light switch turn on certain lights (or don't). Lastly, I got to the cabin while it was dark and rainy and I was worried I was going to miss signs. I used Google Maps up till Barlow Trail Road from which I then switched over the Amber's directions (which I highly recommend doing). Google maps will take you too far down the road.

  • Beautiful cabin and surrounding area. Cabin was clean, cozy, and adorable.

    Devin2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin! We loved the interior and it had everything we needed. It's very close to the grocery store and is set back from the road. The sound of the river and the smell of the trees was a great way to fall asleep at night!

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Even though it was cold outside, the inside was cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and smelled good. They have everything you need to make you feel at home. The communication with Amber was great. She responds quickly, and was easy to talk to. The only thing that I would recommend to anyone visiting on a weekend is, not to go to the skyway bar and grill at dinner time because we waited an hour for a seat and never got a table. It seemed like they were seating everyone before us because they were locals. The menu looked good, but we never got seated so we went to Dairy Queen which was also disappointing, except for the banana split. I absolutely loved the cabin, so if I ever go back, I will try the Mexican food across the street from skyway.

    April2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • Amber's cabin is more spacious and thoughtfully decorated than we expected. We loved the comfortable beds, warm wood stove (and wood!), and location. We hope to return soon! This place is a gem. Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT a stand alone unit, so respect for the adjoining unit's occupants is mandatory. Late night partier's party elsewhere please. Also, in case you’re confused about the two listings, They are the same space just a difference in the number of bedrooms available. So this is the same space as The TreeHouse Bed & Breakfast 2 BR Apt./Suite, but with an additional bedroom for those who require it. The instant The TreeHouse 1 BR Apt./Suite is booked, The TreeHouse 2 BR Flat becomes unavailable. IMPORTANT NOTE ON INFANTS, TODDLERS AND PETS Infants and toddlers are welcome, but they do count for billing purposes. The same goes for our furry (pet) friends as well (limit 2). Both are $15/night, or two for $25. *The Willamette Falls is a natural waterfall on the Willamette River between Oregon City and West Linn, Oregon, in the United States. It is the largest waterfall in the American Pacific Northwest by volume, and the seventeenth widest in the world. Horseshoe in shape, it is 1,500 feet (460 m) wide and 40 feet (12 m) high with a flow of 30,849 cu ft/s (874 m³/s). It was also used as the backdrop of the series Twin Peaks.
In this upscale, quiet, residential neighborhood, you'll get the feeling of being "away from it all", yet only 20 minutes from downtown Portland and 3 minutes from a Walmart Neighborhood Grocery, Safeway and Starbucks. An award winning winery is less than 3 minutes away and Mary S. Young State Park no more than 5, and the lovely Tryon Creek State Park less than 15 min. Please check out our Guidebook for more tips and suggestions for nearby food and fun.
  • This was arguably the best bnb I've ever stayed at. The amenities and personal touches were endless. The price point was also incredible. The Trees were intoxicating and the bathroom was fit for a king and queen!

  • Thank you for the clean and pet friendly place!

    Renee2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • John was very nice and handled our last minute booking very well! For a small couples retreat where you just want to spend some time alone with your significant other this is the place! Enough space for 2 plus a hot tub that has changing lights and colors! Read the rules people!!! There are people living upstairs that will not put their life on pause and tip toe around, just to accommodate you! If you have a problem with hearing your neighbors maybe book a whole house to yourself! It did not bother us at all and instead made us feel more welcome to have a good time because we are loud laughers and like to have a little music on, we had a great time with 0 issues! Thanks John!

    Aaron2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Johns place is a spacious house in the forest! With lovely views, a hot tub, darts, ping pong, pool table, tv room and tiki bar! He was happy to accommodate us on short notice! Next time I just hope we get to spend more time there! Definitely would recommend!

    Amelia2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent just one night here but it was very lovely. Made great use of the pool table and the hot tub. John was super quick in his responses as well. Five stars!

    Raphael2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very communicative and lots of helpful tips!! We enjoyed the pool table and the little tiki bar/entertainment area! The view was amazing, and we meant to use the hot tub area, but ran out of time. Perhaps we'll use it if we book again for a trip in the future ;) Thanks for letting us stay at your place!!

    Erin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • John was super nice and quick to help. He offered to give us towels and sheets for our next Airbnb stay, which he totally didn’t need to do. The place was great for us because we were just there to sleep. We used the hot tub after we came back for dinner, which was nice because of all the trees around. The only down fall I had was the dust on the leather couch and coffee table, the water jug had lots of dirt around it and the bathroom could have used a little tlc in some places. (Maybe I am a clean freak?) Over all it worked totally fine!

    Larissa2020-01-10T00:00:00Z

It is in nature but just a short drive away to anything you may need and a very comfortable drive time to Portland downtown too. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Just perfect. Look forward to coming back.

The Sandy River Hideaway is a Self-check-in modern cottage tucked away within the popular Timberline Rim neighborhood. This spacious 240 sq ft one-bedroom has its own private drive, fenced-in backyard, and a beautiful Mountain View (with no cleaning fees.) Timberline Rim Recreation club amenities are included. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Sandy River Beach access. Skiing attractions such as Timberline Lodge is within a short drive. Sandy Ridge Trail is 2 miles away.
Within this 240 sq ft cottage, two guests can enjoy a queen size Tempurpedic bed, hotel type amenities such as a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, large walk-in shower, and (New) Smart TV with Netflix for the duration of their stay. Think hotel room in the woods, not a full-service cabin. There is also a sleeping loft that can accommodate a third, additional guest. Since this vacation rental is suited for those wishing to get away and enjoy a short term holiday, there is no kitchen, which will relieve any expectations to clean dirty dishes or pick-up in any other capacity upon check-out. We have no check-out procedures. We want you to enjoy yourself as you would in a hotel, with the exception that you are staying in your own private cottage and not expected to share a common area with anyone. However, this house is not off the grid or miles from civilization; it is located within a neighborhood. It is also cleverly hidden from view off Sandy River Lane Road, tucked behind two homes. Let it be known, none of the neighboring houses can view the private backyard, which hosts its own Weber Grill, firepit with two Adirondack chairs, and soon-to-be swing or hammock to be enjoyed in the coming warm summer months. **There is a $15 cleaning fee per dog. If bringing a dog, please let me know upon booking.
Since this cottage is located across the street from the Sandy River Beach and trail access and is down the street from the Timberline Rim Recreation Club, guests can enjoy everything this community has to offer. These seasonal amenities include a tennis court, swimming pool, game room, and basketball court.
  • Lindsey was an outstanding host with great insightful information .

    Kayla2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey was great! Communication was fast and very helpful. My boyfriend and I asked if we could check in early to drop our things off so we didn’t have to hold it in the car while we adventured the mountain. Lindsey had the place cleaned up and accommodated us early, it was extremely helpful. The place was adorable, clean and perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring Mount Hood :)

    Alyssa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey’s cabin was a perfect place to relax after a long day of skiing! The space was very cute and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The backyard space looked like it would be very enjoyable in the summertime with outdoor seating and a fire pit. I would definitely recommend this cozy cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay near Mt. Hood.

    Britney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This ‘lil Loft in the woods was perfect for my hubby and I. It was so comfortable and cozy. My hubby was able to take a quick nap on Saturday, before we went out for dinner at a local Pub near the mountain. ANd, on our 2nd day we were able to sleep in (and get sleep even with Daylight Savings!) and stop at a local coffee shop on our way to the mountain. It was such a special treat and honor to get to stay here, the price point was amazing. WE loved this spot!

    Jeanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We went snowshoeing for the day and stayed here afterwards. We really liked this little private cabin, it was very clean and cute, everything we needed to relax after a day playing in the snow. There were some very good restaurants nearby as well. This is a great value, stay here.

Enjoy your own two story guest "barn" on 17 acres just 25 minutes south of Portland in Wilsonville. Located just minutes off of I-5 and 1-205, yet you feel like you are deep in the country. (website hidden)
We are located right next to the on-farm cooking school, The Kitchen at Middleground Farms, where you may be able to take a cooking class during your stay! Our farm is home to a small herd of Nubian goats, a llama, jersey cows and quite a few chickens. The comfortable queen bed is located upstairs (warning: the stairs are a bit steep!) in a sleeping loft, where there is also a twin bed. A queen sleeper sofa is available in your own living room downstairs.
Other than the occasional cow mooing or rooster crowing, it's beautifully quiet country just minutes from the freeway.
  • Wonderful location and setting. Super fun for a girls birthday party. Awesome farm setting with beautiful interior setting.

    Ben2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! Better than expected with all the little touches in the space. The fresh eggs, almond milk and granola! The best I have ever had. Beautiful place and hosts were great. They allowed us to check In early and that much appreciated.

    Diane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved staying in Jessica’s barn! It was so cozy, comfortable and clean. I appreciated that I was allowed to walk around the farm and visit the animals - and I was also given some farm fresh treats, which was my favorite touch. I will definitely be booking here again!

    Alexandra2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at the farm! The place was sparkling clean with a comfy bed and some lovely little touches. Jessica was a great host.

Enjoy everything Mt. Hood has to offer in this one-of-a-kind contemporary and refined A-frame renovated in 2016 to reflect the contemporary aesthetic of the Pacific Northwest. **Most of our listing photos were taken by Christopher Dibble.
Rancho Relaxo is a thoughtfully designed and bespoke built A-frame with an open floor plan on the edge of the Mt. Hood National Forest. It is the perfect getaway for groups of friends, couples looking to spend a romantic weekend in the woods, those seeking some solitude, skiers, outdoor enthusiasts, artists, and families. Whether you lay around on the exquisitely comfortable sectional sofa, sip whiskey next to one of the fireplaces, find a new favorite book in our library, or use Rancho Relaxo as a base camp for adventures we know you'll have an incredible weekend. Kitchen features an electric oven/range, blender, toaster, all the essentials for a home-cooked meal, and a coffee grinder + french press to prepare some delicious coffee you picked up in Portland. You'll feel so cozy and relaxed in the winter with a hot cup of tea next to the propane stove. Microwave lovers, please note: there is NO MICROWAVE. Living room has an enormous sectional sofa and a wood-burning insert in a basalt rock fireplace, and an incredible vintage Benny Ourain rug from our friends' in Portland - Kat & Maouche. THERE IS NO TELEVISION, but there are lots of games and books, and the wifi is fast and reliable should you wish to spend some time on your internet device. Backyard has a charcoal barbecue, horseshoe pit, and campfire ring in addition to many tall trees. Upstairs both bedrooms have queen sized beds, high quality linens and textiles, and lots of architectural appeal. Entire house has an open floor plan. Unless you represent a production company with a generous location budget please don't message about one night stays, we have a strict two night minimum and are unable to accommodate requests for one night stays.
Our little neighborhood is close to Highway 26, which means quick and easy access to lots of hiking, skiing, restaurants, and perhaps most importantly, plowed & sanded roads in the winter. However, this proximity also means there's a bit of traffic noise, so people looking for a totally silent retreat may want to take this into consideration when booking.
  • Staying at Sasha's cabin was an absolute joy. Rancho Relaxo offers a serene, stylish and comfy getaway that's only about an hour's drive from Portland. Let's get real, we all wanna move out to a swanky A-Frame in the woods, right? Here, you get to live that dream for a bit. Everything looks and feels great inside and out, where rustic and modern come together nicely to create the chillest of vibes. We also really appreciated the options for coffee-making, cooking, reading, fire-making and game-playing which is pretty much what you're gonna do when you stay here. Having a little bit of disconnect from that city life helped us to activate parts of our minds that don't usually get a ton of love. On that note, you'll def appreciate the lack of TV but there's plentiful internet if you need it. We highly recommend Rancho Relaxo and we'll definitely be back!

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, cozy, and clean space with easy access to Mt Hood. Stocked kitchen with all the stuff needed to prepare meals. We loved our time here!

    Annie2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was an incredible, relaxing getaway. We were cozy and warm in rainy Rhododendron for the whole weekend. There was hardly a reason to leave the house but the convenient location made it easy to swing by Timberline for a drink and the market for extra snacks. Love this adorable home and can’t wait to return!

    Kara2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of sleeping space. Stairs are a little difficult, especially at night. Close by to a lot of fun eateries/taverns.

    Gary2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This house had everything we wanted for our weekend getaway. It was far enough away from snow covered roads and close enough to Government Camp where we did a night time snowshoe tour. With three levels, two beds, and a couch, there was plenty of space to be in solitude but the living room and kitchen were also great spaces for playing games, eating dinner, and cozying up with a good book. Can’t wait to stay here again soon!

    Robert2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a creative and fun place!

    MacKenzie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Rancho Relaxo is an absolute DREAM. This was the coziest, most magical spot in Mt. Hood. Every little touch in the cabin seems thoughtful and special. While we enjoyed local places in the area, we truly strived to spend as much time in the A Frame as we could considering how incredible it is. My partner and I already can't wait to go back!

    Kelly2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Rancho Relaxo. There was ample room to hang out downstairs and the beds were comfy. There is an amazing assortment of toolage for making whatever style coffee you wish. It even snowed a little in the morning for us.

Our cozy master bedroom has private entry, desk space, queen & single beds. In our busy family home with 2 dogs a bird, kids. Large bathroom may be shared "Jack & Jill" style with another AirBnB guest if our other listing is booked. WIFI, TV with Roku, kitchen access, large backyard with swing & sitting area. If you are unkind, high maintenance or don’t like/allergic to dogs/kids, this isn’t the right space for you. Close to highway I-205, MAX light rail line/bus, blocks to shops & restaurants.
Real hardwood floors throughout. Home filled with unique raw edge furniture & artisan made decor all made here. Bird feeders everywhere, we see hummingbirds & other beautiful birds everyday here. Large backyard with handmade swing, beautiful seating area & greenery. PLEASE READ: -You may park anywhere in front of the gate or street parking in the neighborhood. -The self check in link is a great tool to use, you should receive it in a message when you book with us. That link will walk you through entry to your space as well as getting acquainted with how to reach the kitchen and backyard areas. -The kitchen is a communal space so please feel free to cook, get a cup of coffee or tea and use the dining room as much as you like. Just be aware that you might not be alone, please tidy up after yourself. -Laundry room use is only for guests staying with us for 3 days or more. -We do not allow cats here, but some dogs are welcome here. Please use the CONTACT HOST button and include in your message breed and temperament around other dogs, new people and kids. -Do not allow your dog to sleep or walk on the beds. -Always close the gate behind you as you come and go. We love our dog Nigel and would like to keep him safe. -If you are unkind, high maintenance, don't like dogs/kids, are scared of them or allergic, this isn't the right house for you. -This is a busy family/guest home, not a hotel or fancy bed and breakfast. You should expect that the floors in communal spaces may not always be perfectly swept and mopped, you may see some dust here and there, dishes in the sink, our décor and art choices are not for everyone and we are our own landscapers. Book and review accordingly. -We do our best to observe reasonably quiet hours between 9pm and 7am, particularly on school nights and we expect our guests to do the same. With dogs, 2 kids and guests, the house stays pretty bustling outside of those quiet hours, so mid-day naps can be tricky, we apologize in advance and have earplugs available to you in the bathroom. -Smoking is allowed outdoors only, plenty of cozy places to enjoy in either the front or backyard. -Please feel free to message, call or flag us down around the house with anything you need or any concerns you may have. We want you to be just as cozy here as we are .
We are walking distance from public transport, several restaurants (Thai, pizza, sushi, Chinese), produce market, Trader Joe's & 4 thrift stores.
  • I've been commuting back and forth from Denver for a new job for 2 months now and I haven't slept better than at Siobhan's house. I love the private entrance to the Master bedroom, and it was very open and roomy. The memory foam mattress and bedding was super cozy and there is a fan in the room for white noise. The location is a 3-minute walk from a lot of stores/restaurants, and most important to me, the bus line. The only thing I didn't love was not being able to lock the bathroom door to keep the other guest from coming in. This wasn't a problem while I stayed, and Siobhan is very explicit in her directions that you must knock first, but it's still unsettling.

    Derek2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet street, beautiful yard, friendly people, and great value. We were in town for a conference and Siobhan's place had everything we needed to relax after a busy day.

    Lindee2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great value and great location. Parking was slick. Private entrance right into the room which I liked. The mattress I slept on was memory foam and that was nice, I was very tired. Initially I was told to follow a link for check-in and was a little put off by it. After messaging I was given satisfactory instructions and when I got there it was easy to check-in. Also I didn’t realize the bathroom has two doors so you have to lock the other bedrooms door from in the bathroom so they don’t go in. Overall great value! I enjoyed my stay. 5 stars.

    Tyler2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, we really love it!! The house is near to the subway so is easy to access to the city center. The house also has a beautiful and friendly dog 😊

  • Beautiful and unique home. The bathroom was huge and spacious as well as the room! I slept like a baby! Super comfy and warm beds. Loved the personal touches. The kitchen was beautiful and full of drinks and treats. And Nigel was so sweet! Thank you for having us stay in your home!

    Natalia2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very good place! Enjoyed every bit of my stay!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

Welcome to Portland! We have a wonderful little guest house in our back yard and are excited to share it with new friends. We are located in a quiet neighborhood right next door to a park. We are only about 15 minutes from the Pearl district in downtown Portland, as well as 12 minutes to central Beaverton. We are also only 25 minutes from the airport. This is a great location to plan your adventure in PDX or around the whole PNW region!
There is a private entrance to the unit. From the front of the house, go around back thru the gate. There is an AirBNB sign by my front door that will point you the correct direction. Follow the flagstone path from the driveway. There are a few steps up to the shared patio and one more into the unit.
The neighborhood has several parks you can enjoy. There are trails, hikes, and even disc golf within just a few minute drive.
  • Clint was a great host! Very communicative and reached out to make sure we had everything we needed. We had enough space for 2 people and found it to be very quiet and private. Would stay again on a future trip to the Portland area.

    Emily2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We decided to stop in Portland to get some rest last minute and Clint was very responsive to our request the day of! The place was lovely, clean, and in a quiet location.

    Emily2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Clint’s place was simple& had everything we needed. It was ideal as it was away from downtown Portland’s commotion but still close enough to drive into within a few minutes. He had a notebook listing spots to visit& general tips. He was easily accessible& openly communicated. My BF& I agreed we’d definitely stay there again if we were to visit Portland another time. We recommend this spot for sure!

    Melissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our 2nd time staying in Clint’s place and it was another wonderful stay! He’s made some renovations since our stay last year and the private unit became more spacious. We were able to meet Clint this time because he helped us out with the WiFi, which we were thankful for because we very much enjoyed our conversation with Clint! We even got to have some playtime with their sweet fury roommate, Gwen. We were in Portland for a Jiu-Jitsu tournament and during that time, one of us got injured. Clint was kind enough to provide us with an ice pack; we highly appreciated his generosity and understanding. Again, this location is very convenient but it still provided much comfort, quiet, and relaxation. We’re for sure going to stay here again when we go back to Portland and we recommend anyone to stay here as well.

    Kathleen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was better than I expected and was literally sparkling clean. I loved the small extra details such as a book with tips for the city and everything you would need and more for a couple nights stay.

    Jessica2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great clean and comfortable spot. Close to plenty of local amenities and conveniently located so Portland and Beaverton are easily accessible.

  • Lovely, cozy home. Great for easy access to snow adventures and Government Camp!

    Ariel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable cabin with fun and tasteful decor perfect for the setting. We found there was plenty of room for our family get together (9 of us) and my step dad said the master bed was very comfortable. Nothing better than coming in from a day of snowboarding and have a hot tub waiting for you. Between the well supplied kitchen, WiFi and fire pit, you really will find everything you need for a fun and comfortable stay. Great place.

    Emily & Ash2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was so perfect for our group ski weekend. There are so many activities to do at/near the cabin that we could have stayed for days longer and would have never run out of fun! The space is welcoming, cozy and even better than the photos show. We also really enjoyed the fully-stocked kitchen. Will be back for ski or summer trips!

  • Perfect escape from the city

    Cameron2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a getaway to just relax and play games or come home to after being on the mountain. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities and we enjoyed the hot tub and the Ping Pong and games in the garage.

  • Beautiful and well appointed and full of special touches. Coffee and honey in the kitchen, cozy blankets and furniture, comfy beds and perfect pillows, and of course the hot tub!! We only left to go get dinner as we were so relaxed in this beautiful river setting. Walks along the river, hot tubbing, knitting, coloring and Netflix!! Hope to come again soon!

  • Sarah + Duane’s house was beautiful, well-appointed and super convenient! The hot-tub, games, DVDs were great amenities and the kitchen was perfectly stocked. We appreciated the helpful and timely info from Sarah + Duane and their generosity in my opening their homes to us!

    Elise2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! The sound of the river from the deck, the amount of natural light inside, the hot tub, and easy communication with the hosts all put this at the top of our list for Mt Hood rentals. And, our kids loved it as much as we did!

    Shannon2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Best Airbnb experience I’ve had in a while. Amazing home, great amenities, really relaxing getaway spot. The hot tub is amazing and you can hear the river from the deck.

  • What a great house! I had rented it for my dad's 60th birthday and the whole family had a great time. The living room doesn't have much lighting, so at night the house gets pretty dark. We didn't really mind it just noticed it. Would definitely recommend it to others. :)

We are considered to be "the gateway to Mt. Hood" (did we mention you can see the mountain from the Airstream!?) and are located out in the country where you barely hear anything but the occasional tractor driving by and the consistent frogs all night long. We are located just 3 miles from a gorgeous river spot/park (Dodge Park) which is perfect for swimming, picnicing, and hiking around. Also located only six miles from the town of Sandy so when you need a goodie from Joes Donuts on Sunday morning, it won't take you too long to get there.
  • What a dreamy retreat from Portland! Think I was one of the first to experience the magic of the outside tub and gaze at the full moon by candlelit! Hy & Dani really know what they are doing!

  • The airstream was a great stay for us in the middle of our vacation. It was homey and very warm once you got the small wood stove going. Sipping hot chocolate and enjoying the cozy space was a made for a great night.

    Emily2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing getaway! We celebrated our 1 year here and just wanted a space to relax and this was exactly that. We were able to help ourselves to everything including an outdoor fire that was already prepared for us upon arrival. The dogs on the property checked in on us often. We felt very comfortable the whole stay. Would recommend to anyone who wants a place to disconnect from the city life. Thanks for the experience!

    Liya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great spot to stay for a night! We couldn't figure out the wood stove but the electric heater kept us warm enough on a cold night. The bed was great and cozy. We loved being able to have our pup with us too. Thanks for hosting!

Nestled among tall cedars, you'll find the Creekside Cozy Cabin a perfect place to relax and enjoy its calm surroundings. While there are neighbors on both sides of the cabin, you still get that country feel away from the city. We are 20 miles from PDX Airport and 21 miles from Downtown Portland, but the drive out to the cabin is worth every mile.
The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. When there is a chill in the air, guests may warm up the space using the wood stove in the living room. (We request it not be used during the dry summer months) There is a small back room off of the bedroom that is set up with a double bed. There is a Queen air bed that could be set up in the living room, or out on the deck during summer months under the stars. We think that the best part of the cabin is sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of rapids in the creek. It is a special place to sit in the morning with a good cup of coffee or to wind down at the end of the day.
There are friendly neighbors on either side of the Cabin. Please respect their privacy and keep noise levels down in the evening. Due to the small size of the driveway, parking is limited to two cars. Street parking is unavailable as the Cabin is located on a narrow road. While the path to the creek from the cabin is steep, there is a nice path that you can access from the road.
  • We will be back. The cabin was just what we were expecting and everyone was happy being there. I always enjoy sitting outside to eat when I can, even in the cold rain, and the seats were dry under the roof so I was able to put on my stocking cap and be out there. Best touch was the wood stove already going when we arrived.

My house is close to Hwy 224. You’ll love my place because of the location. It has very easy access to Hwy 224, Hwy 99 and the 205 freeway. My place is good for solo adventurers and business travelers.
Its a no-frills sleeping space with closet and tv, perfect for a temporary visitor or worker. Extra guests will be charged $5.00 per night
The room is in a semi-rural house with few neighbors.
  • Thanks Jon for a comfortable month.

  • Good simple accomodations for the budget minded traveler. Jonathan gave great local tips, took me out to see some local music, and even upgraded me to the bigger apartment suite while it was free! Great hospitality

  • I am a French come to Portland a few days and I am not desapointed by the stay where I was. I couldn’t see Jonathan but his co-owner was so great with me. I don’t regret to have chooses Jonathan’s airbnb. There were everything I needed. And more place is very calm and not to long downtown honnestly. It’s a good place for sure here.

  • Jonathan is awesome and his place is great. You have your own bathroom (a HUGE bonus if you've stayed anywhere around Portland) and he even offered to help me find a place. The place is pretty huge and it's easy to get downtown. I would have stayed longer if the place was available. Thanks Jonathan!
