  • We had a lovely stay at carols place, it was just me, my partner & our Labrador. The garden is huge and fully enclosed which gave us piece of mind for our Labrador. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy. We was welcomed with fresh bread, milk & wine which was a lovely touch. We will definitely be returning.

  • Really recommend this lovely cottage, lovely added extras to make your stay special. Carol is very welcoming. Lovely comfortable stay for a break away. We used it to walk the south west coast path, it’s a great spot for this.

  • Cobblestone cottage was a delight to stay in - super clean , lovely welcome pack of bread, milk, fudge & wine & a beautiful enclosed garden which my dog loved too! Plenty of tips on where to eat, walk the dog or visit in north Devon as well. Carol was a great host & we definitely recommend a stay here! Thanks carol !

  • Carol’s place was more than we could have hoped for. She gave us simple, clear instructions to get there. The cottage was clean and homely, with added extras like homemade bread and fudge. Carol had prepared lots of recommendations for walks, pubs, amenities etc. We even found lots of fun board games to play. Our dog Sammy thoroughly enjoyed his stay, and the treats carol had left for him. 10/10!

    Jess2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A great place, spotlessly clean with attention to detail. Would highly recommend Cobblestone cottage, Carol a perfect host.

This is a modern 2 Bedroom Chalet (42sqm) at Manleigh Park in Combe Martin on the edge of Exmoor between Lynton & Lynmouth and Ilfracombe, roughly 5 mins drive from the sea. The Chalet itself sleeps up to four people with 1 double room and 1 twin. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC, there is also an open plan living/dining and kitchen space. The Chalet is brick built, well insulated and perfect for a short break or longer holiday any time of year. We are very dog friendly!
Manleigh Park is our home, it's a small holiday park owned and run by us with passion to give you the most relaxing peaceful holiday we possibly can. We've not lived here very long, but we knew as soon as we saw that view along the valley for the first time, that this was where we wanted to be. We'd love you to come and share it with us for your holiday. We have a lounge area with an informal bar to enjoy a fresh coffee and home made cake, a local cider maybe, or even some artisan West Country gin or vodka. The Wicked Wolf Gin is distilled just up the road at Watersmeet and Tors Vodka isn't too far away. Pizzas are available from our bar top mini pizza oven. We have an excellent 4G reception, WiFi is currently available in the bar area only, the password changes periodically but is always written up on the bar.
North Devon has so much to offer through all seasons. The moor, the beaches, the villages, all ready to be explored and enjoyed from your own private base. We are within striking distance of the Tarka Trail and numerous other footpaths and bridleways. Surfers can head to Croyde Bay or Woolacombe, paddle boarders and kayakers need just wander into the village. There are golf courses within a 10 minute drive, lots of local horse riding opportunities, there's even an Alpaca herd on the other side of the valley, not forgetting the Dinosaur Park. Fishing enthusiasts who've stayed with us say there is excellent local angling and lake fishing. Combe Martin itself is a lovely coastal village. We have at least 4 pubs (opening hours vary seasonally), numerous shops including one that makes and sells the best fudge (in my opinion anyway), a friendly deli (the best mince pies at Christmas), mini supermarkets and a lovely bay and beach with rock-pools. The village is on the South West Coast Path offering spectacular views whichever way you walk.
  • A really great find. Dog friendly, and a lovey lodge for the weekend. We will Be back.

  • Great. A few close friends and I stayed here for two nights. We had a lovely Welcome and weee made you feel at home straight away. Paris was particularly lovely and is an asset to the team. We will be back and the only negative was that they didn’t have a availability to stay another night.

    Adam2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great home made pizzas and very friendly staff. As per the photos. Highly recommended

    Harry2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay - Steve and Judith were great hosts and really welcoming. Super clean, good value and had everything we needed. Great bar area, really enjoyed the pizza and veggie curry! (oh and the vino!) Very dog friendly and a great secure dog field on site to give the hound a run around. Excellent location to explore North Devon. We'll definitely be back!

  • Hosts are very amenable and efficiently professional. Bar a fantastic addition- great wine, gin and ambience. Easy walk to Coombe Martin

    Kiersten2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage overlooking a perfect little town, our lodge is was super clean, modern and comfortable. Perfect hosts, the dog in the check in, was a big hit with our kids! Pizzas at the camp restaurant were delicious as well as reasonably priced. Excellent all round!

    Marijana2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our log cabin was spotlessly clean, comfortable and peaceful. We had tea and milk left for us to start us off, which was such a nice touch. The site is absolutely gorgeous with great views over to Combe Martin and the sea. The bar area was so friendly and welcoming - served great and reasonably priced pizzas and a good array of drinks. Steve, Judith and Baxter were great hosts. We loved the fact it was such a quiet and relaxed site and would love to return.

    Kim2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The log cabin was sparkling clean and in a lovely location on a quiet holiday park. Great bar/lounge area on site serving pizzas and ice cream. 15 minute walk to the village and 30 mins to the sea. Good location for visiting Exmoor and Ilfracombe.

    Lindsay2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A little 'gem' of a holiday park that doesn't feel like a 'holiday park' at all! Peaceful location, great facilities (modern, clean, spacious) and a lovely, cozy bar on site.

    David2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Manleigh Holiday park is in a great elevated location overlooking Combe Martin. We stayed in a log cabin which was spacious and had all the necessary amenities for 4 adults + 1 baby. Very good value for money compared to other accommodation available in the area on our dates.

    Oli2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication from hosts, lodge on arrival was really clean and Manleigh Park as a whole seemed to be run fantastically. Hosts really welcoming especially in the bar, food was incredible and suprisingly our daughters dietary requirement of dairy free wasn't too much trouble if not easy as options were available with very little fuss. Manleigh park not difficult to find and close to Coombe Martin and other attractions.

    Andrea2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin. Warm, clean, comfortable and lovely hosts. Excellent weekend retreat with everything we needed. Super shower, comfy beds, warm, very clean and well presented. We had a super time. Able to walk down to Coombe Martin town, so good location.

  • A terrific little apartment, ideally situated for our walking weekend. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Little extras of milk, cereals, spread, tea, coffee and sugar were much appreciated. Jo was very quick to respond to our messages and was on hand to greet us when we arrived. A great Sunday Carvery at the Pack O’Cards.... a great recommendation!

  • Amazing host such a warm welcome and very attentive threw out our stay, the apartment is so quaint and we'll equipped with everything we needed making our stay stress free I honestly would be happy to live there and will definitely be back... The host Jo also offers a sports therapist massage at an extra cost but I would highly recommend you take the opportunity to add this into your stay, I did and have never felt so relaxed she made the constant pain I've lived with for years just melt away. Thankyou again Jo

    Davina2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne's flat was lovely, the perfect little cosy place to hunker down for the weekend!

    Megan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely recommend Jo's place! I stayed for four weeks in October and had a wonderful time. It's the basement unit in her house, and it was perfect for one person. Two people would probably also love it. The ceiling/roof in the bathroom allows natural light in, and you can open up the backdoor (which opens onto a staircase) if you want some fresh air. That's all to say that, despite being a basement, it's better than your typical basement space. The bed and couch are both very comfy. There's a PlayStation with Netflix and a handful of DVDs and games, which are great if you're stuck inside on a really rainy day. Everything in the bathroom and kitchen met my expectations and was great for my long stay. The heat also worked well, although I did not need it very often thanks to the insulation. Jo is a tremendous host and made me feel right at home. I had plenty of privacy, but she checked in every now and then to see if I needed anything. It's exactly what I'm looking for in a host! She knows everything about the area, so she's also a great resource if you have questions about where to go, what to do. As to the location, it's right on the high street, about a ten minute walk to the beach and the main cluster of shops. There's also a grocery/Chinese takeaway and a pub that are even closer. I didn't have a car, but the bus stop is only about a minute away. You can also walk to Ilfracombe (about two hours) along the coast path or some pleasant, quiet country lanes.

  • Zak and Marcela are fantastic hosts! They've got such a brilliant set up going on with their cottages. All the other guests were just as lovely, there's a great field for letting your dog run and play, so it really has the social element. Great location, with Barnstaple, woolacombe and ilfracombe around 20 minutes drive away. Woolacombe especially is the most stunning beach for dog walks :) Zak and Marcela are such lovely people! The guys do a brilliant job and should be proud of their hard work!

  • Lovely, cosy cottage with all the amenities you need to enjoy a stay in the North Devon countryside. A little tricky for us to find initially due to limited road signs to the minor farm access road, but ultimately a perfect location for exploring the fantastic beaches and coastlines nearby. The hosts are super friendly and accommodating and we would definitely come again!

  • Great host with very quick responses. Very clean and cosy cabin and ideal location for Hikes and trips to the beach. Would highly recommend this place for future guests!

  • I can recommend Lyn’s place. It is as the photos show. It is decorated and furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. Lyn and her husband were very welcoming and available if I needed anything. Thank you

  • Lynns place is a lovely little log cabin perfect for two people. It is well furnished and Lynn has thought of everything. It is nice and cosy, even on a wet and windy weekend in October we were very warm and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the local area and the essentials are all within walking distance. All useful information is provided but Lynn is on hand to answer any questions. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

Berrynarbor is an award winning village, between Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. In the village we have a community shop, and two pubs, Ye Olde Globe about 3 minutep walk and The Old Sawmill about 1/2 mile. There is a large dog walking area. Boat Cafe is at the picturesque harbour in Watermouth Cove.
  • Phil and Lynn are great hosts. They are very kind, quick to respond, nice, and very welcome. The chocolate cupcakes were super delicious, we couldn't have enough, if there is more maybe we will not be able stop eating them. The house is so much better than the photos. And the view is really amazing, indeed more stunning than Phil has advertised. I will stay at Phil's again whenever I visit Ifracombe. Outstanding value.

  • Fantastic stay. Hosts very helpful and respondent. Place very clean and comfortable. Brilliant location near a nice pub and 5 min drive from sea. There was even an exquisite cream tea waiting in the fridge when we arrived. Would recommend, 10/10 for the reasonable price.

    Jack2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The property is a gem of a place. Had everything we needed including a great view. Very good value and our hosts, Phil & Lynne, attended to our requests promptly.

  • Our stay was excellent! The living space is really good, much better than we were expecting. Really well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. The views are amazing, the photos don't do it justice! If you are looking for a get away break, the location is spot on - brilliant local pub with many friendly locals, lots of walks nearby and stunning scenery. Phil and Lynne were very welcoming, and were very quick to respond when we had questions. Brilliant value for money, and we will be booking again!

    Andrew2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place and lovely hosts This wonderful place is really peaceful with a lovely outlook across the valley. Phil and Lynne were very welcoming and left us a lovely cream tea for when we arrived. The place was spotlessly clean and excellently presented with everything we needed. They showed us around, explained how everything worked and although they were close by, they left us to our own devices. After a few days they sent us a message to see if we needed clean towels.

    Kim2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful view of the hills in Berrynarbour, from the garden patio, a very comfortable apartment, every thing you need and a welcome cream tea. Phil and Lyn are wonderful hosts.

    Gill2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • we were delighted with our accommodation, kitchen well equipped, patio and summer house overlooking trees and hills. Very easy and comfortable stay

  • Phil's place is amazing. The pictures (amazing though they are) don't do it justice. Equipped with everything you could need! Lovely terrace and summer house. Comfy bed. The area is lovely too, just a short walk to the sea and beautiful Devon countryside all round. We had an amazing weekend here, will be coming back as soon as we can!

  • Lovely house, close to the sea and local attractions. Great downstairs room for my auntie who has limited mobility and lots of walks close by to go on with the dog! It was a house that suited everyone for a lovely family get together weekend!

  • Samantha’s house is the perfect place for a family get together, group retreat or celebration. Tucked away on a hillside with extensive gardens & views across the valley it is a real taste of luxury. Each bedroom is beautifully decorated with fabulous walk-in showers, baths (& a choice of 5 loos!). The lovely open plan living space has a log burner, double sofas & a large handmade oak dining table ( seats 12 comfortably). This room leads down into a games/bar area with dart board & roulette set, which was great for us when the weather was bad. Patio doors open onto the stunning terrace with a top of the range hot tub - the highlight of our stay - such a gorgeous view across the coastal valley. Everything has been thought of & the views are breathtaking (especially from the spacious landing with outdoor balcony). There is also a fabulously accessible downstairs room with en-suite facilities, perfect for anyone with mobility issues. (Will recommend to our friends with a young paraplegic son). There is access onto the headland adjacent to the property with walks near the coastal path & views of the sea, Hangman’s cliffs & down into Combe Martin. Samantha was a great host who gave us complete privacy but was on hand if we needed anything. We would love to return one day!

  • A beautiful house for a family getaway with a dog. This had everything we wanted and had stunning views from the property. The property was spotless and had enough to keep us all entertained. Only downside for us was the narrow country road to get to the property as some taxi drivers also commented that the road could do with some investment to be repaved. But despite this still highly recommended

    Bhav2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic spot for anyone who wants to get away to the countryside. Great value and great communication from Samantha.

    Laura2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Settled in immediately and woke up each morning feeling that I was at home. The property is beautifully furnished and has been designed and created with amazing care and detail. The views from the windows and the balcony are stupendous. Samantha and Joe are great hosts and allowed us to use the entire property and gardens to explore. Highly recommended. The ground floor rooms with en - suite bathroom were perfect for my elderly parents, no trip hazards and designed to accommodate wheeled aids throughout. Thank you for the stay, hope to visit again.

  • We had a lovely friendly welcome from Sarah after walking 18 miles on the South West Coastal path from Lynmouth. To say we were tired after 3 days hiking is an understatement ! Fontenay is in an ideal location, very well situated from the coastal path and is just up from the beach. Sarah offered us fresh milk for our tea when we arrived which went down really well. She made us a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning in her atmospheric dining room with home made bread and eggs from her own chickens, which was delightful. Communication was excellent and fast prior to our visit. The bed was very comfortable and we had a choice of two bathrooms, one with a wonderful rainfall shower which I didn't want to get out of ! Thanks so much Sarah for looking after us x

    Sarah2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah and her partner were wonderful airbnb hosts! Their place was tidy and neat, and the shower had a superb heating system. To top it off, the room contained a selection of nice reads to keep you entertained before you go to sleep. I'd recommend the book on Psychology. Oh for those who aren't book worms, fear not, there's still the Internet. and lucky for you, the wifi's really good.

This is one of our lovely holiday caravans, newly refurb'd for this season providing comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people. We are situated in Combe Martin, just along the coast from Ilfracombe in beautiful North Devon. We are very dog friendly and welcome 1 pet per booking. All linens, towels and bedding are included.
There are golf courses within a 10 minute drive, lots of local horse riding opportunities, ther's even an Alpaca herd on the other side of the vally, not forgetting the Dinosaur Park.
  • Its our second time here and we had a great time, the whole place is great with restaurant on site and the owners are so accommodating and helpful. We will be back every year when we visit family in the area

    Deborah2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely caravans and as much help as you could possibly want. Also great home made Pizzas in the bar/ restaurant.

  • We had a lovely week at Steve & Judith’s place. Our holiday home was clean, the bed’s were so comfortable, and the pillows perfect! ( we normally bring our own) The pizzas at the bar were lovely. Dogs welcome with the dog field also, the views are so beautiful . Great touch and no excuse for not picking up, dog bags around the site & plenty of bins. A lovely quiet small Uncommercialised site to explore north Devon .

  • We stayed in April cottage & it was as described, plenty of room, clean, tidy & everything you need for self catering. We used the pool & table tennis rooms which offered a distraction from a wet & windy weekend. Transportation is a must as the farm is located down a narrow country lane & a good 6 minute drive from Combe Martin where you can find a nice Fish & Chip shop and a selection of public houses. This is a great place for a family trip away & would absolutely shine in the summer months when we plan to return.

  • Zak and Marcela's place is in a great location for visiting different parts of North Devon. Its comfy and cosy and we had a really good weekend. They are good hosts and will do what they can to make sure you have a great time!

    Vicky2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Well what can I say? We have just returned from a 5 day break with the kids (7,8&15) and our dog. Zak and his wife were the best hosts and were available all the time with any questions or just for a general chat. The cottages are beautiful and are clean and bright with loads of space. We stayed in the 3 bed cottage (April) and the master bedroom has a Queen size bed which was so comfortable it was hard to get up! And the kids had great sized rooms too - all with comfortable duvets too! The kitchen is modern with everything you need to cook for a big family and we loved the outdoor courtyard area where you could eat outside. Another nice touch was having a washing machine and tumble dryer available - helpful when there are multiple wet beach towels! Another great touch was the outdoor space - my kids loved the pool & darts room and we spent many a night playing against each other but without spending a penny. My boys also loved the fact there was table tennis, tennis and table football available to use. Really loved the outdoor space with the climbing frame and big run around for the dog! Rocco the dog and the free running hens were our favourite and loved that Zak gave us some fresh eggs which were gorgeous. Location wise it is only about 10 mins into Ilfracombe and 5 into Combe Martin. We ate out at a local pub called The Pack of Cards which was dog friendly and the food was amazing. We also ate out at the local chippy in Combe Martin which was also good value and great portion sizes. Worth noting that Tesco is only about 10 mins away and they do deliver to the site if needed. All in all this is a fantastic place and I will definitely be back and Would recommend to anyone! Thank you!!

    Anneka2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Zaks lovely 3 bedroom farmhouse cottage. The place was clean and had all we needed for a family to visit. Our two boys one 9 and 1 aged 17 enjoyed the freedom to roam around and play tennis, pool and table tennis. There were plenty of things to do to keep them amused. The cottage was lovely and quiet but within easy reach by car to loads of places to visit. We went to Croyde also saunton sands which we loved for boogie boarding. We would stay again, the beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water with lovely big bath sheets. Thanks again Zak

  • Great location, short drives to beaches and towns, games room is really fun and Netflix etc was fab after a long day:)

    Chloe2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfrct cottage for our needs, family of 6. Kids loved the games room and tennis court and it was great to borrow spades etc for the beach. Zak and his wife were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Loved that there are a few cottages altogether so we could return with extended family. Perfect for day trips to Woolacombe and really good value. Thank you :-)

    Francesca2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was perfect! There were 6 of us and it was the best weekend. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and the courtyard/outdoor space really made our stay special. Both nights we had a BBQ. There is a rec room with beach supplies/games, etc. which was a nice surprise. We used the tennis court, too which was a nice touch. Zak was super nice and helpful. We were sad to leave! It was a total oasis! We would recommend to anyone.

This exclusive mobile home is located on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, in the village of Combe Martin, on a small working farm. It is fully equipped with all you will need to have a relaxing, peaceful holiday, with magnificent panoramic views of the beach and Hangman Hill. Its just a 10 minute walk to the centre of the village, beach and local amenities.
  • It’s a working farm as it says so we expected to be up at crack of dawn.... but we slept until we woke naturally every day. The caravan is clean and exactly what a caravan should be. Functional too. Fire to warm quickly when it’s cold. Outside picnic table that overlooks the dipping sun on a beautiful cove. Nobody else except Sharon and her family around. We were busy most days and all day, but Sharon was happy for my boy to play with her children if he wanted. If we had one more day then we may have managed! We were left alone to complete our adventures and met up at the end to make sure all was well. A nice stay. If you like stars bring a telescope. No artificial light at night! Lovely.

  • A warm welcome, fresh milk, sweets for the children and beautiful views! The farm was lovely and peaceful and the caravan was spotlessly clean and tidy. We had everything that we needed to make our stay stress free. Sharon & family were always very helpful, friendly and made us feel welcome. Meeting and holiday their 3 day old piglets was a highlight of our holiday! Along with walking into Combe Martin for fish & chips and watching the most amazing sunset on the beach. We will 100% be returning and highly recommend staying here.

  • A cosy and well appointed little flat right in the heart of Combe Martin. Lindsey’s hosting was excellent the flat is exactly as described and pictured. We were there for three nights with our 14month old daughter and had a fantastic time exploring the local area including walks to Little Hangman, Watermouth Cove and trips to Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. A wonderful few days, thank you. Highly recommended.

  • Lovely flat nice decor and had everything you need. Great location for beaches and walks friendly locals.

    Jennifer2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely property, located in beautiful picturesque village. Everything we needed was provided for us. Perfect for our family, and even though its a pet friendly property there was no smell of dogs as we've experienced before, everything was clean and tidy. Lovely comfortable beds, nice shower and kitchen well equipped. Steps at rear no problem for us but may be tricky for families with very young children, however front door can be used, and we actually dropped our kids off at front door while one of us drove car to parking space at rear.

    Elizabeth2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and value for money!

    Jasmine2019-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is in a great location for a short walk into Combe Martin and the beach. Well equipped kitchen with all you need for a self catering holiday. Small note to anyone considering the flat, the toilet is located in a very small space and so anyone especially tall or especially curvy might struggle with the comfort of this facility! As Lindsey says on the listing, the steps to the back of the flat are very steep and so this should be taken into consideration when booking. Kids were very comfy in their beds and loved the games provided!

    Emma2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, my daughter loved there was books to read & games to play. Great free WiFi, we didn’t cook but had everything you needed. Hope to return again one day.

  • We stayed for 4 nights and caught some beautiful weather, but were slightly disappointed not to get to fire up the log burner for a cosy evening! Instead we enjoyed outside breakfasts and dinners and sunset baths, and it was perfect. A great location, 5 minute walk to the excellent village pub, easy to drive out to Woolacombe and Exmoor and only 2 fields away is access to the coastal path on which we walked to Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. We would love to return and would recommend to everyone, it’s wonderful.

  • What a lovely place on the farm with wonderful hosts. Zak was really friendly and helpful, but also allowed us to enjoy the beauty of the farm cottage. The cottage was well-equipped, comfortable, clean and tidy. Very poor mobile reception was mitigated by the wifi included in the price. Lovely children's play area which our son loved, and a games room which would suit older children. Very peaceful and rural setting. We will definitely stay again. Thank you!

Underfloor heating and log burner, TV with free sat box, well equipped kitchen with many facilities. Private well fenced garden with hot tub and garden furniture for your exclusive use.
Peaceful friendly retreat in 4.5 acres of our own land which we are happy to share with you. We are situated on the edge of the hamlet of Kentisbury Ford, part of Kentisbury village. A variety of good pubs and restaurants are within a 5 mile radius. The beaches of Woolacombe & Croyde Bay are within easy reach and historic Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Lynton & Lynmouth are all worth visiting. South Molton and Barnstaple with their pannier markets are also available for a wider range of shopping.
  • Thank you to Mark & Debbie for your generous hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful getaway near north Devon’s finest beaches. Our highlights were: welcoming hosts, welcome basket, exploring the farm, meeting the animals, going to the beach, relaxing by the log fire and of course in the hot tub. Fantastic fully equipped bungalow. We will be sure to return.

    Josie2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great weekend in Devon with our dog. Debbie and Mark couldn't have been more welcoming and the cottage was immaculate. The pics dont do it justice! Plenty of space to walk the dog, meet the alpacas, goats and chicken's and finish the day in the hot tub. Not too far from some really nice beaches where we spent most of the day. Will definitely go back when we are next in North Devon

    Sam2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot fault this lovely space. Debbie and Mark were lovely hosts. The hot tub was great and being able to cuddle the goats and alpacas made my weekend. The location is perfect as it’s close to several beaches but is also completely tranquil due to the lack of phone signal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. Thanks once again :)

    Kirsty2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what can I say, if we could give this 10 stars we would. Fantastic location, beautiful spacious property with a great hot tub! But what really makes this special is Debbie & Mark. The little touches, cream tea, eggs (their own),bead, milk, biscuits in a hospitality basket on arrival, the time they spent with us making sure we had all we needed, all the local tips, their amazing animals...alpacas, goats chickens not to mention the well behaved dogs, our Roy was so happy with them...nothing was too much trouble. Our granddaughter Grace collected 2eggs with Debbie & as soon as we got home she had to make cakes with them. Thank you both so much for being such caring & thoughtful hosts, we had an very relaxing weekend & we highly recommend you!

    Aly2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Booked Mark and Debbie's place for my parents and they could not have had a better trip. For me, booking process was very easy and Mark & Debbie very flexible and accommodating with an awkward situation. Parents have gushed about the cottage itself as very clean, and bigger than it seems from photos. They particularly liked the amount of light in kitchen/livingroom, especially considering time of year - made it feel "rather summery" in January. They're also fans of the level of privacy they could have whilst still being made to feel very welcomed by Mark and Debbie and able to speak with them. Being able to meet the animals has been a highlight of the trip for them, and the location couldn't be better (very close to sea!). They only got back today and are already recommending their first Airbnb experience to family and friends, and would be more than happy to return.

    Charlotte2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • THANKYOU for an amazing stay again. We still want to move in, home from home, nothing to much trouble.

    Debbie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved this air bnb. Mark and Debbie were really lovely and friendly hosts. This is a perfect destination for anyone who just wants a weekend of rest and relaxation. Would definitely love to come back again.

    Kirsty2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing rural idyll, then look no further than Mark and Debbies 'tardis' cottage. The pictures do not convey how big the space is, there is so much light flooding into the living room, it's a perfect place to chill, relax and unwind. Plus of course just outside the patio doors lives a very large and exceptionally fabulous hot tub, just sat there waiting to be leapt into. I have mobility problems and need a rollator or walking frame to get around, this cottage has so much space it was perfect, I could even get my rollator into the wet room. With only one small in height but large in area size step to access the cottage from the parking spot by the front door and also out the patio doors into the garden it is ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The hot tub is about eight feet from the patio door, with room to put a walking frame by the two access steps at the side of the tub (also ideal for putting towels onto). The bed is humungous, a proper super king with one mattress, rather than two singles zipped together, hence it was oh so comfy. The underfloor heating in the living room, kitchens and wet room are separate from the radiator heating the bedroom, which is ideal as we were able to put things on the floor in the bedroom, whereas in the living room with underfloor heating our shopping etc would have melted, so it's the best of both worlds, again another excellent feature of this cottage. Mark and Debbie are the perfect hosts, a very hard act to follow in fact. Nothing was too much trouble and they obviously love having guests come to stay. They had very kindly left us a Devon cream tea to enjoy and lots of other goodies in a welcome basket, all very much appreciated by two hungry and weary travellers. We can thoroughly and without any hesitation recommend this lovely cottage and it's owners to anyone who wishes to partake of a relaxing and happy holiday or weekend treat away.

My place is close to the beach and the village of Combe Martin. The property is set over 3 floors and has comfy beds and some original features . It is spacious clean and suitable for families, couples and singletons. Minimum stay is 2 nights throughout April & May . If you want to stay for 3 or more nights we can reduce the rate depending on the length of your stay . Typically between 80 .00 and 90.00 per night.
The property is large and spacious so you will have plenty of space to relax without being on top of each other. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine and dryer for larger families. The property does have a large no. of stairs, it is multi level so may not suit families with younger children. There is large bathroom with a separate shower , bath with shower and mixer taps and toilet. There is also a cloakroom with additional toilet and hand basin. There are no ensuite facilities.
Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and village of Combe Martin, located in an ideal location to explore North Devon. You must try the Black and White fish and chip shop in Combe Martin and and the Thatched Inn - Ilfracombe.
  • This is a lovely place just a few minutes walk from the beach and amenities. The house was impeccably clean and with all the things you would require for an enjoyable stay. On this trip there was only the two of us, but will certainly return with friends and family in the future. Great communication from the hosts. Thank you again.

  • We had a lovely stay here with four adults and two children. The place was very clean and very comfortable. There is no on street parking but you can pull over on double yellows to offload easily, and the car park is nearby. It’s very easy to get to Ilfracombe and the surrounding areas.

  • We had a lovely stay in Combe Martin at Clare's place. A spacious clean flat within close walking distance of the small town and close to other stunning locations as well. Would recommend as a place to stay in North Devon.

  • Great location in a lovely village. 3 mins walk from beach. 5 mins from convenience store and pub. Good sized accommodation. Would definitely recommend for family/friends get together.

    Peter2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Clare’s place was absolutely amazing and we had such a lovely few days. The layout of the house was very stylish and we really liked that the house was on 3 floors because it was very spacious. Although there are buses I would recommend having a car as there are some nice places to visit and the nearest big supermarket (Tesco) requires a car although you could easily get by with the shops in the village. I would definitely second the recommendation of the Black and White fish and chip shop. We ordered food and ate it at the beach which is less than a two minute walk from the shop and about a 5 minute walk from the house. The check in and out was very easy and the place has good facilities; a big bathroom with shower, bath and toilet and a smaller one with just a toilet. The living room was spacious with a good TV and dining table. The kitchen was spacious with lots of utensils so we were able to easily cook for 6 of us. I would really recommend hiring a paddle board or kayak from the shop across from the chip shop because you are able to take them into the sea and explore the coast line. The kayaks were £10 an hour and the paddle boards were £8 and it was 100% value for money. I would really recommend this home to anyone as we had an amazing time and wish we could’ve stayed for longer.

Everything has been carefully thought out and the kitchen is incredibly well equipped. We wondered if there would be a cafeteria and when we got there, there were three! We took our dog Ella who is fearful of dogs and strangers so the location was perfect for us. I contacted Harley before our visit to explain about Ella as I was worried about the famous Bingo getting a hostile welcome if he came to say hello. Harley was extremely understanding about her and called to co ordinate walks with his dogs so that Ella didn’t have to meet them. This was great as we are always usually on dog watch when we are out and about but for once we were able to switch off and really enjoy relaxed walks in the beautiful woods. All in all we had a very peaceful holiday, Harley and Mary were wonderful hosts and Woodacott is a magical place to stay.

  • An amazing little space set in the most idyllic woodland, we (and the dogs) loved it!

  • Really lovely and quiet cottage in a beautiful setting. Small but well thought out inside- you’ll likely not lack anything save what you usually bring for a quick getaway. Some nice touches on arrival that made us feel very welcome. Located down some tight lanes from either direction, though no more than a few minutes driving. Parking at and access to property is good. Location good for access to North Eastern tip of Devon- Woolacombe to Lynton, etc all within 20-30 minutes. Would stay again when in the area.

  • Fantastic place, superb hosts.

  • If you want a tiny, get-away-from-it-all retreat in a private woodland with the kindest of hosts and the most wonderful aromatherapy treatments, this is a great place. We chilled and unwound and loved our stay. You need to be quite fit to get up and down to the cottage from the car parking area, but that walk was an added bonus to us and our Labrador!

    Jane2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really special find in deepest darkest north Devon. Perfect for local dog walks in the forest. And really great fully equipped kitchen. Loved it. Will be back

There are golf courses within a 10 minute drive, lots of local horse riding opportunities, ther's even an Alpaca herd on the other side of the vally, not forgetting the Dinosaur Park.
  • HI It has been wonderful stay I must confess, we have been looking for peaceful and quiet place...just to escape London from everyday's rush and madness, and we couldn't find better place. Good space chalets, nice clean and well designed, much more then enough for family of four with dog on board. We will definitely come back in the future. Kind regards

  • Very welcoming hosts and a sparkling clean, smart and comfortable chalet with great views. Kids loved the playground right in front of the chalet and we could watch them from the terrace. Nice pizza from bar too. All in all a lovely stay - would recommend.

  • Great hosts. Lovely location. Great pizza!! Can’t recommend highly enough. Look forward to returning soon.

  • We stayed for 3 nights at Steve and Judith's place. It felt very welcoming and cosy with thoughtful touches like a pint of milk, dishwasher tabs & tea and coffee. The chalet is a bit of a walk into the village down a pretty steep hill that wasn't accessible with our baby buggy so that's something to bear in mind if you're travelling with little ones. Other than that we had a great time and Steve and Judith were super easy to communicate with and were very accommodating.

  • We stayed in a 2 bed chalet for 3 nights which was superb value for what we got. The photos don’t do it justice, it is really well furnished and spotlessly clean. We were by the play park as requested and the view over the valley was beautiful. Really well situated. You can walk into Combe Martin or drive to the nearby beauty spots. Some milk in the fridge and dishwasher tablets provided were a great touch. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly, as were both of our neighbours! Would highly recommend

  • What an amazing place. Brilliantly located just outside Combe Haven, and very close to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. Very dog friendly with great facilities for the hounds. The chalet itself was very well stocked, extremely clean and was perfect for what we needed. Thanks very much - see you next year!

    Ed2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • The chalet was clean and had everything we needed for a couple of days away. The views from the chalet were beautiful and it was in a great location for exploring the surrounding area.

  • We stayed on the site in May 2019 with our two young children and well behaved dog. We stayed in a Chalet which was clean and well equipped with beautiful views. It is a lovely site and the hosts could not do more for you. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and we will definitely be returning.

    Combe Martin, England, United Kingdom

Charming, cosy and comfortable mid-19th century terraced cottage on the edge of Exmoor, with sweeping views of the gorgeous Devon countryside, and simple, tasteful interiors. Combe Martin has its own little beach (20 minutes' walk from our cottage), all the amenities you might need (food shops, pubs, post office, chemist, garage, kayak hire), and medieval church. The fantastic beaches at Croyde and Woollacombe, plus gorgeous walks on the cliffs and on Exmoor are all a short drive away.
The cottage is most suitable for one or two couples, or perhaps a couple with a teenage child. It is not suitable for young children, as the garden is not fenced off, and is accessed by a set of stone steps. Charming, cosy and comfortable mid-19th century terraced cottage in Combe Martin on the edge of Exmoor, with sweeping views from our garden of the gorgeous Devon countryside, and simple, tasteful interiors. Combe Martin is a fantastic base for a holiday: it has its own beach (20 minutes' walk from our cottage), all the amenities you might need (bank, small supermarkets, four pubs, post office, chemist), its own folk club (Shammick Acoustic) and medieval church (with a beautiful recently restored rood screen). The village is a brilliant base for fantastic beaches at Croyde and Woollacombe, plus gorgeous walks on the cliffs and on Exmoor. There is loads to do in the area; we are also not too far the famous Damien Hirst sculpture, Verity, at Ilfracombe! Our cottage was renovated by us after standing empty for nearly ten years, and now has a modern kitchen, bathroom and central heating. However, it retains its cottagey charm, with an inglenook fireplace complete with bread oven, stable door in the kitchen, and an extra outdoor WC for those who like to commune with nature! The cottage is well equipped with two TVs, CD and DVD players, microwave, hairdryer, iron and dishwasher. It is most suitable for one or two adults, perhaps with an older child, as there are two steps up to the front door, and steps up to the garden (which has a lovely patio and viewing platform on three levels). Please note, there is currently no freezer at the cottage. There are no parking restrictions on our street but it is not possible to park directly opposite our cottage. Parking starts about 50 yards down the road.

There is loads to do in the area; we are also not too far the famous Damien Hirst sculpture, Verity, at Ilfracombe! The garage opposite Starlight closes at 9.30pm, and has most basic things. There are lots of other shops in the village, including a post office in one of the supermarkets (which also has a good selection of food and drink), a deli, a butcher’s, and a Boots Chemist. There are a few pubs in the village, including The Pack O’ Cards and The Dolphin, both of which have gardens. The Pack O’Cards has folk music nights a couple of times a month. There are two fish and chip shops, Top Chippy opposite the church on the village street and the Black and White which is near the beach. There is an internet café at the bottom of the village near the sea. There is a medieval church in Combe Martin with a recently restored rood screen, which is quite rare in Devon. You can rent kayaks/canoes near the beach at Combe Martin. There is also a museum and tourist information near the beach. Last but not least is Combe Martin Dinosaur Park, which is quite popular with children, as it has animatronic dinosaurs, animals, a train ride and a seal show. SURROUNDING PLACES We have a lot of information and maps about local attractions and walking routes in the cottage, but as a general overview: Woolacombe, Croyde, Saunton Sands have brilliant beaches. If you belong to the National Trust, you can park for free at their car park at Croyde. Ilfracombe has the Damien Hirst restaurant/café in the quay (and the Damien Hirst sculpture), a few good restaurants, galleries, a cinema, and a health food shop called ‘Nana Sue’s’. It also has the nearest big supermarket, a Tesco – follow the signs to the recycling centre as you come into Ilfracombe. Ilfracombe also has ‘tunnel beaches’ which were created in Victorian times. Entry is not free, but they are quite interesting. The Black Venus pub in Challacombe is good for food, as is the Fox and Goose in Parracombe. You should book if you plan to go there. Hunter’s Inn in Exmoor is quite good for food, and a lovely starting point for various short or long walks. Exmoor Safaris by jeep are really interesting, but need to be booked in advance. Lynton/Lynmouth (known as ‘Little Switzerland’) can be worth a visit, including Watersmeet, a very lovely and scenic NT tea room, and an interesting Victorian funicular powered by water. There is a charming 64 seat cinema in Lynton too. The view from the Bay Valley of Rocks Hotel terrace is lovely, although the hotel itself is (quaintly!) dated. Mortehoe, on the approach to Woolacombe, has lovely views down to the sea, and has a nice walk to Mortehoe Point. Baggy Point is also a lovely short walk from Croyde. Saunton Sands has a café overlooking the beach and is good for watching the sunset (as is Barricane Beach, on the approach to Woolacombe from Mortehoe, where they have an Indian café/bring your own drinks in the summer). However, beware the Saunton Sands café, as it’s sometimes unexpectedly closed. There is a hotel called Sandy Cove on the road between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. It has very nice views of the cliffs and sea from its terrace, and has a pub and restaurant, although you can only drink outside, unfortunately, and not eat. Lee, near Ilfracombe, has a nice pub with garden, and is an interesting place to stop off at for a brief visit. Berrynarbour Village, next to Combe Martin, has won awards for being the quaintest village. Marwood Gardens are very nice. Further afield, the Tarka Trail is a very easy way of cycling on the flat and seeing this part of Devon. Bicycles can be hired in various places, our nearest is probably Braunton, from where you can go to Barnstaple, or the other way. Exeter is probably a couple of hours away, but if you go there on the ‘scenic’ route, and not on the M5, it is incredibly lovely, and Exeter itself has an interesting cathedral.
  • Quiet, clean, and comfortable - just exactly what we wanted. We appreciated the strong WiFi as well. We also Monika’s good communication — she was very responsive. Would stay here again!

  • We had a lovely stay at the Threshing Barn, the barn is very homely and comfortable with great amenities, the kitchen was kitted out with everything you need to cook an evening meal. Clive came and gave us some great advice on where to eat and visit which was also in the handbook in the barn. Wonderful stay!

  • The cottage was perfect - it was our best Christmas yet! The countryside was quiet, the orchard was ideal for walking our dog and it was perfectly placed for visiting a different beach every day. The entire cottage was cozy, beautifully decorated and Pauline left us some very thoughtful gifts including eggs from the girls! We can’t wait to visit again soon xxx

  • We had a fabulous time in this beautiful converted barn. Spotlessly clean, great amenities, super comfortable bed, swings in the garden and enclosed area for the dog...and in such a great location. We had 2 really good meals in the Black Venus Pub and The Pyne Arms - both a short drive away, and some of the best fish and chips ever had from Topp Chippy in Combe Martin - details for all of these are in the info provided in the house. We booked at short notice and could not have been made more welcome. Freshly baked cake and milk and eggs on arrival...it was all perfect. Thank you very much Pauline and Clive. We would really love to come back again soon.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Pauline & Clive's Threshing Barn: the place is beautifully furnished, a great & cosy space to spend some relaxing days. Communication was very easy, it was nice to meet our very friendly & welcoming hosts. The barn is conveniently located near the B39, and with approx 20 minutes drive to many stunning places. We were very fortunate with the weather (late October), and impressed by our 3-year old daughter doing far more walking than expected, so managed to do Morte pointe walk, Baggy point walk, Watersmeet walk, followed each day by several hours on either Woolacombe beach or Croyde Bay - perfect autumn break, we even braved the waves. We didn't try any of the recommended pubs, but that's simply because it was very convenient and comfy to cook back in the barn in the evenings. Would recommend it.

    Lena2019-10-25T00:00:00Z

Set in the picturesque village of Berrynarbor is 'The Granary'. A two bedroom semi-detached cottage is one of four cottages set within 3 acres of grounds on Middle Lee Farm. One mile from Watermouth Cove, 2 miles from Combe Martin, 3 from Ilfracombe - it's the ideal base to explore North Devon & Exmoor National Park! Good local pubs, serving great food, in walking distance. All in all, a great place to escape and relax!
  • Such a lovely cottage in a lovely location. The local village is very picturesque, the children enjoyed the park! The Granary is a lovely cottage with all the amenities we needed for a short break away. The children loved the table tennis in the barn and meeting the ponies. The cottage is located not far from several lovely beaches, which we enjoyed. Lisa is a lovely host and gave us some tips on the local area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • The Granary is very well set up, comfortable, spacious and with a well equipped kitchen if you like to cook rather than eat out all of the time. The village of Berrynarbor has just appeared on a list of the 18 top locations in Devon - we’re not surprised! It’s an area we are unfamiliar with but was one of the sections of the South West Coast Path we have not yet completed and despite rain and flooding we enjoyed this stretch of coast and in particular were pleasantly surprised by how nice nearby Ilfracombe was and with what was on offer. Communication with Lisa was excellent and she responded very quickly to our questions before and during our stay.

Sleep in a clean and cosy sofa bed in our beamed farmhouse, rural near the sea.. Feel part of our family home. We are down-to-earth happy people. Stroll in our fields and woods. 5 mins from beautiful Berrynarbor with its two pubs. Combe Martin beach and Ilfracombe are 10 mins drive. Glorious coastal paths nearby. A short drive from the famous sandy surf beaches of Croyde, Saunton and Woolacome, The beauty of Exmoor is about 30 mins away. The Tarka Trail cycle route is another wonderful draw.
This listing is for the sofa bed (with topper mattress for extra comfort). It is a cosy room.. There is a desk, and reading lamp if you wish to work. A clothes rail is on the landing available with hangers for clothes, plus hooks on the door. Our home is a bit quirky and is always complemented by friends on how homely it is. Having the fields and especially the woods to have a walk at the beginning and end of the day makes this a special place to find peace and get away. Say hello to the horses and chickens. We even have some fire pits in the woods. If you are a musician (or not), then Chris would love to have a sing-song and point you in the direction of a local open mic.
Walkers and cyclists love the challenge of this stunning area. Rolling lush green hils and valleys. Sea views and rugged coastline. A geologist’s paradise. Many beautiful renowned beaches - both pebbly and sandy. A great base for surfing at Woolacombe, Croyde or Saunton. Local boat excursions and sea-fishing. Guided sea canoe/coasteering sessions give never-to-be forgotten experiences for couples and families. Quaint local village of Berrynarbor. Victorian town of Ilfracombe with Damien Hirst's restaurant and statue called Verity, Victorian Tunnels Beach and many places to eat out Attractions such as Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Castle, local carnivals in the summer, Combe Martin's "Hunting the Earl of Rhone". Inspiring Exmoor close by.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Tania’s home. It’s so special to feel at home and warmly welcomed. Our first reason to choose this place was the feeling in the photos, very personal and homey and we were totally right. Experience of staying at a farm and seeing all that’s happening around was so lovely and special. It was also very helpful being picked up from Combe Martin after a very long walk and had a ride back again on the path the next day. We’d love to go back and highly recommend this place.

  • I arrived with Tania and Chris, and immediately fell into easy conversation over a hot cup of tea. They were super welcoming and friendly, and are both very interesting people to talk to. In the evening Chris showed me the horses and we went and watched the bats and the swallows flying over the fields. The location is simply idyllic; so beautiful and tranquil, and the famous Valley of the Rocks is very nearby and worth a visit. I slept on the sofa bed, which I was happy with, and there were fluffy white towels left out for me. And Belle the ancient cocker spaniel was delighful! Thanks again for a lovely night with some very pleasant chats.

    Tessa2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really terrific stay at this location. The directions provided were very concise and easy though I would say a car is a necessity. It's only a short drive to a great coastline. Tania and family were incredibly welcoming and made us feel very at home. The room is a modest size but ideal for a short stay, clean, with a very comfortable sofa bed, we slept great! We had access to the kitchen and conservatory to make our own breakfast and had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this location!

Marlyn B&B overlooks old farm buildings towards Little Hangman on the North Devon Coast. We're on the South West Coast Path - a great location to spend a few days exploring Exmoor and North Devon. Our comfortable rooms have pure cotton bedding and sheep's wool duvets and pillows (hypo-allergenic) with organic soap in the en-suites. Each room has tea and coffee (includes ground coffee and Pukka Organic herb teas). Breakfast is extensive continental and/or eggs anyway or things on toast.
Marlyn B&B is a restored 17th Century Farmhouse full of character but with well appointed and modern en-suites and bedrooms. Prices are per room with an 'extensive' continental breakfast included for Air B&B guests.
Berrynarbor is a pretty village with pub, post office and shop. We have another pub in strolling distance as well as a hotel a few minutes away with stunning views of the Exmoor coast, all offer lunch and dinner.
  • Gwen was a really helpful and welcoming host. The room was lovely and had everything we needed, a great view was a bonus. We were going to a wedding at Sandy Cove hotel and Gwen’s is a 5 minute walk from there - it was perfect for our needs. Thank you

  • A picturesque B&B in North Devon, with lovely touches such as chocolates by the bed and the comfiest bed! As well as a beautifully laid breakfast with a huge range to choose from. With sea views from the bedroom and beautiful surroundings, it's the perfect place to stay to relax.

  • We stayed for one night and wish we had stayed for more! Was absolutely lovely. Very clean and breakfast was delicious. Gwen gave us some local tips and even left us a chocolate on our pillows. Would stay again.

  • Marlyn B&B was a great spot within walking distance to Combe Martin on the coast path and also down into Berrynarbor village where there’s a lovely pub. Gwendolyn has made the place feel very homely with lots of stylish touches about the place. A stunning sea view from our room was an added bonus and the breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend.
