“We have used this group and think they do an amazing job. I was hugged for 10 minutes by a manatee in December. Just an amazing experience. Less expensive than Birds Underwater. But I think they are a little bit shorter of a tour. So check them both out. This group has never failed to find the manatees for our guests to swim with and get up close and personal with them. In the winter, we have hundreds of manatees in Crystal RiverArea. And in the summer time, there are 40-50 moms and their babies and teenagers. They provide the snorkel gear and wet suits and bring you by boat to swim where the manatees are. Even if you only see & swim with 1 manatee, it is worth the trip. ”

Park
“There is a high Mound that has a beautiful overlook of the river with about 50 steps to the top. Its an interesting walk with paved trails all around a couple of acres of ancient Indian grounds. ”

Park
“This is not a photo of Hunter Springs, but a building on Citrus Avenue, downtown Crystal River. Hunter Springs Park has a playground, pavilions, man made beach and kayak launch sites. People swim in crystal clear spring water, 72 degrees. They've recently renovated the park and you pay for parking but it's worth the $1 an hour. ”

“If you want a steak or a good burger and nice huge house salad, with peanuts to eat and throw the shells on the floor with a full liquor bar & over in the Crystal River Area, after swimming or kayaking with the manatees, then Cody's is a good option. I think Weds they have 2 for the price of 1 steak and/or chicken fajitas. Good place for chicken wings as well. Good variety of food. ”

“One of several fine dining locations in the area. On weekends or holidays be sure to make a reservation. We prefer it on weekdays, because we like it quieter. It's usually closed on Mondays.”

“This place has great food! No reservations, so you will need to wait. They have a small bar area also. The wait staff and the owner can be very entertaining. This is the place where my daughter first had seered tuna and loved it!”

“They offer manatee as well as scallop tours. We took the manatee tour and it was great. They provide all the necessary equipment including the wetsuit for the manatee tour. We use them when family or friends visit and want to do a tour.”

“A locally owned & family operated BBQ restaurant, and it's the place to go when you’re craving the true flavor of slow smoked Competition-Style BBQ. Great place to get dinner or lunch after a day of kayaking in Crystal River. Their "Q for 2" is a sampler dinner for 2 people - excellent value!”
