The village, at the foot of the South Downs, is ideal for walking and cycling and has an award-winning pub and lovely cafés. For more excitement, Brighton. Lewes and Glyndebourne are all around 20 minutes away and London less than an hour. Hassocks has direct trains to the capital and Brighton, and is a five-minute taxi ride.
