A quiet cottage with wood burning stove and beams. In the same rural valley as 'The Lakeland Shepherd', this cosy and welcoming cottage, is six miles from the M6 and the west coast mainline and four miles from Ullswater. Great access to Blencathra, Helvellyn, Keswick, the lakes and pubs. We accept one dog with an extra fee of £30 per dog (see house rules below). Lets of three nights or more until the beginning of May when we only take lets of 6 nights or more starting on Saturdays.

Bright and cheerful ensuite studio flat on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Great views of Helvellyn and High Street. Lake District hikes, cycling or sightseeing within a few minutes. Set back from the main hall and nestling in its own private woodland garden is the former Dairy. The Dairy offers accommodation for up to 2 (a couple). The layout is fairly unique with mezzanine type sleeping accommodation via a steep wooden ladder. There is a log burning stove in the living room. The Dairy has a fully equipped compact kitchen and a shower room on the ground floor.
