Little Saltspring is located in a quiet residential cul de sac. The city of Brighton is a "must see" visit for many guests. It is within easy reach by train, bus or car. Getting around Brighton is simple as it is a compact city and easy to explore on foot or public transport. Make time to visit the city villages too including Hove; famous for its colourful beach huts & Regency architecture, and Rottingdean, a picturesque, traditional English village. Discover Brighton attractions such as the Brighton Pier, the Royal Pavilion and the innovative British Airways i360. The city is also home to a cornucopia of cultural delights as well as big name shops and hundreds of independent boutiques. There are many award-winning restaurants in Brighton & Hove catering for all tastes from classic fish 'n' chips to creative vegetarian restaurants and even a zero waste restaurant. https://www.visitbrighton.com/things-to-do Another famous town to visit is Arundel, about 15 minutes away by car. This historic West Sussex market town is most well-known for its 11th Century Arundel Castle and stunning Victorian gothic cathedral, but great days out in Arundel don’t have to stop at a visit to these historic attractions. Explore more of the area's rich history and heritage at Arundel Museum, St Nicholas Church and nearby Amberley Museum and discover Arundel from a different perspective at Arundel Jailhouse and Ghost Experience! There's a great choice of guided walks with different options hosted by qualified Blue Badge Guides, Arundel Museum or Arundel Walking Tours - this is a great way to really understand the history of the whole town. Foodies are spoilt for choice in Arundel, with cafes, bars, restaurants and some great traditional English pubs too - just a small remnant of the 30 or so that used to serve the population in this once busy riverside port. Art and antique lovers will be happy at one of Arundel’s superb galleries and the treasure troves of antiques and collectables, If shopping is your 'bag' then the wide range of contemporary and traditional independent shops is impressive for such a small town and is sure to include something perfect just for you. For water and nature lovers, the rowing boats at Swanbourne Lake, boat trips on the River Arun and the Boat Safaris at Arundel Wetland Centre, are a great way to relax, admire the wildlife and while away a few hours in glorious surroundings. There are other ways to get active and explore the local countryside. Discover how to walk, cycle and ride in the area, especially as Arundel is one of the gateways to the South Downs National Park. For golfers, there's the nearby Hilton Avisford Park Golf Course a putting green and tennis courts at Mill Road Leisure and Café and swimmers can enjoy a few laps in Arundel’s popular outdoor Lido. And, for those who enjoy a flutter on the races, Fontwell Park Racecourse is nearby. Arundel's what's on calendar is also full of fantastic arts, theatre, music and cultural events including the world famous Arundel Festival and Arundel by Candlelight, and there are even more town events to be found at the town's own Events Diary. See http://www.arundel.org.uk/attractions A visit to nearby Littlehampton on the River Arun is also somewhere guests will find interesting. It is 10 minutes away by car or you can take the 700 bus. Home to superb sandy award-winning beaches, a bustling marina and harbour and stunning contemporary architecture, Littlehampton, Sussex on England's sunny south coast is both the perfect place to enjoy a fun family holiday and take time out to relax. The attractions of this seaside town include the famously unusual East Beach Café (named one of The Times' 20 best places to eat by the beach in 2013), Harbour Park and the unique seafront Long Bench, and it's engraved messages. Why not book a message for yourself or a loved one? The Littlehampton Ferry will transport you between East and West Beaches during the summer months to the West Beach Local Nature Reserve – a Site of Special Scientific Interest. You can enjoy sailing, diving and fishing on the River Arun or simply take in the views from a waterside restaurant or café. Many of Littlehampton’s annual events take place on the seafront or around the harbour including the summer Carnival and spectacular Bonfire and Fireworks event in October. In fact, there are so many things to do, you’ll definitely want to stay for longer! Take a look at the Accessible Sussex by the Sea page if accessibility information and guidance is required. http://www.sussexbythesea.com/littlehampton

  • This is a little hidden gem in Sussex. My parents live nearby and I needed to stay near them for Christmas. It is right by the sea in a lovely place called East Preston. It's super clean and very modern. It's quite small but this makes it more cosy when you can hear the sea crashing in the distance. Sarah was a great host and it was an all in all great stay. I would highly recommend. Charlotte

  • Very close to the beach, very quiet on the beach. The house is very clean, the only downside is that there is no refrigerator, but it does not affect the short stay for a weekend. Perfect for a weekend break or a bank holiday. Spend a good short holiday.

    Yi2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was very prompt with her responses and a very considerate host. Our stay was very comfortable, with a convenient location which allowed us to easily reach other surrounding towns via bus or train, or else walk to the local pubs and restaurants which we really enjoyed. Thank you!

It was really beautifully clean, private, tidy, comfortable and uncluttered. Joanne was friendly, provided all sorts of thoughtful touches and answered all my questions promptly. I couldn't possibly have asked for more.

The cottage is located in the seaside town of Rustington (West Sussex). The cottage is a separate dwelling from the main house, with private entrance, patio and parking space. Downstairs the cottage consists of an open plan living space with fully integrated kitchen, dining area, lounge area with sofa bed. Upstairs is the bedroom and separate bathroom with an overhead shower.
The kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The stairs have a turn and are a little narrow. The bedroom is in the eaves of the room, so there is a slopping ceiling giving great character (but mind your head!) We have listed the property as suitable for 2 guests, but there is a sofa bed downstairs and we also have ‘z bed’ for children, if needed. A £20 a night charge for each additional person will be added for each booking of more than 2 guests.
Rustington is a small, thriving seaside town with many eating places - coffee shops, Indian, Thai, Italian and a Tapas bar. The cottage is situated in the centre of the town, and local shops are just a two minute walk. The cottage is a ten minute walk to a lovely beach, where there is the opportunity for long beach walks. There are two local pubs in Rustington, and a gastro pub in the village of Angmering (2 miles). Littlehampton (2 miles)is a thriving fishing town with a busy river - fishing trips, recreational trips, and the famous (award winning) East Beach Cafe. Rustington is also an excellent base for visiting the historic town of Arundel with its cathedral and castle. Chichester is just a 30 minute drive and has a lovely shopping area and Cathedral. Brighton is a 40 minute drive (or 30 minute train) to enjoy the famous Lanes for shopping and eating. The South Downs National Park is just north of Rustington with access at various points within a 7 mile radius. There are numerous opportunities for walking, running and mountain biking. There are two excellent golf courses within 3 miles, one parkland and one Links. There is a new sports complex on the sea front, The Wave, with a new pool, children’s pool, fitness suite and sports hall.
  • A cosy little cottage in a convenient position near many shops and restaurants. A ten minute walk to the sea. The cottage is smart and well equipped.

  • The annex is a surprisingly large with all creature comforts to relax if you are exploring the area. Rustington village has everything for eating out and in with three banks and 10 mins from seafront leading to Littlehampton ex fishing village. Historic Arundel close by worth a visit for antiques browsing and romantic castle as well as wetlands centre. We visited in the cold spring but a warm welcome from our hosts with breakfast laid on too, made us feel very welcome.

  • Beautiful apartment at the 3th floor, very nice and clean👍

    Marja2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Curt and Myles’s place is spotlessly clean and very stylish. We stayed there after a wedding in the local area and they went out of their way to help us with local info, and even gave a lift to a local train station. Very grateful for their hospitality and would recommend!

    Kat2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Curt and Myles were definitely super hosts! The room, bathroom and flat is stylishly furnished and spotless. They made me feel totally at ease, comfortable and at home. I felt comfortable staying with them as a single female. I found parking easily outside the flat every night and made the most of the area by going for runs along the seafront - it’s just down the road. Try the Thai recommended locally - delicious.

    Dewet And Nicole2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing accommodation. Sparkling clean, beautiful apartment. Both curt and Myles made us both feel welcome in their lovely home. Amazing value for money and set in a wonderful location. Well done guys, we will be back.

    Andrew2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Curt and Myles are very gracious hosts. We had a great guidance and welcome to their place. The flat is very stylish in black and white and spotlessly clean. We had use of the kitchen and we could have shared the living room space with them, had we wanted to. The bedroom is spacious enough and has a very nice bed and very nice comfortable, just right, pillows - we do not find this very often. The bathroom is also spacious and has a great walk-in shower with waterfall and hand-held showers. It is practically around the corner from a High Street with plenty shops and some good restaurants - the Lemongrass is a delicious Thai (strongly recommend booking), as is the Honeypot Cafe for breakfast. The flat is about 10-15 mins walk from the beach. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Curt, and thank you, Myles.

  • Check in was easy using the key safe, the bungalow was immaculate with great attention to detail. Amanda came to see us as I’d asked a question but otherwise left us to it. Perfect location for both the village and the beach, would definitely stay again.

  • Really enjoyed our stay in Petit Palm, it was spotlessly clean upon arrival and feels very modern and spacious. Everything works well, heating, showers and the large range cooker - Perfect for a family of 4 with small children. We used it as a base to visit Butlin’s during February half term. The beach is a 10 minute walk away which is sandy when the tide is out. The local shops including Waitrose are a 3 minute walk away which makes everything so easy. Definitely recommend staying here if in the area and we plan to return.

    Matthew2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage with all modern and high spec amenities. There is a beach at the end of the road, or within a short drive to the Littlehampton one, where one's being able to park at (and go to) East Beach Cafe. Waitrose and Domino's nearby make it easy to cook / have take aways in, and Establo Lounge within 2 min walk from the cottage is a perfect cafe for brunches. Amanda is a caring and accommodating host, and communication was perfect all along.

    Maria2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Petite Palm. The accommodation is tastefully decorated in neutral tones with wooden floors. Fabulous en-suite and bathroom. The kitchen has all you need to cook and prepare food with. I particularly liked cooking on the Aga type double oven. So pleased our dog could stay too. He had some lovely walks along the shingle beach and by the sandy shoreline when the tide went out. Rustington town is only a 10-15 min walk where you can purchase your food or pop in one of the cafes. Amanda is a friendly and helpful host. We would stay again.

    Caroline2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

A delightful, well-proportioned house which is full of character and great for seaside breaks and family get-togethers. With only 60 seconds' walk to the wide-open, uncrowded beach and 4 mins walk to the restaurants, cafes, convenience stores and pubs in the friendly local village, this detached (4 double bedroom house) in the exclusive Angmering-on-sea estate is a South Coast treasure for those seeking some quality time together. We love it here and hope you will too!
The Anchorage has 3 reception rooms and 4 double bedrooms (one of which is en-suite) with off-street parking at the front and a spacious pebble garden at the rear. There is a downstairs shower room which is handy when guests return wet and sandy from the beach and a utility area with separate washer and dryer. There is also an external boiler room which can be used to store wetsuits (which are not particularly needed in the mid-late summer on the south coast!). There is a big selection of board games in the house for hours of indoor fun.
The Angmering-on-sea estate is a lovely private estate which was built originally as a garden village on the south coast and forms part of East Preston village which has Angmering rail station with direct links to Brighton, Portsmouth, Gatwick airport and London. It's located right on the coast - east of Littlehampton/ Rustington and west of Worthing/Goring. It's a lovely neighbourhood with very friendly residents who enjoy time on the beach or on the long glorious walks west and east along the seaside which are a favourite with everyone (dogs love them too!). Just outside the estate (and only a few mins walk from The Anchorage) there are several pubs, restaurants, cafes, takeaways and convenience stores (all in the plural!). Also, West Sussex has lots to offer and many attractions are only a short drive, rail or bus journey away. Examples of attractions within 30 mins drive include Arundel Castle, the Goodwood estate and Worthing esplanade and pier. With all it's glory, Brighton takes a little longer to drive to although lots of trains go there directly. You can even visit the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard by train or by car in about 45 mins.
  • You will not be disappointed

  • 6 of us have just returned from a short stay at the Anchorage. The house is perfect for a family or group of friends at any time of year, it’s so well equipped and very comfortable. Clive and Lara are very kind and communication was excellent. They even left a lovely note and some much appreciated ‘refreshment’ for when we arrived. This truly is a perfect place to stay.

  • The Anchorage was the perfect place to stay. Its location is pretty much on the beach, and despite the weather not being great, we had an amazing time roaming the beach. The house is beautiful, it has made me dream of having a place just like it. A great home for a family to stay in, lots of games and space for everyone. Excellent a hosts with lots of really thoughtful touches. We would hugely recommend it.

  • Anchorage is the ideal property and venue for friends and family breaks. Very peaceful and just two minutes walk to a lovely, quiet beach and safe bathing. Lots of interesting places to visit close by and plenty of pubs and eateries in the area. The house and garden are perfect in every way. We went for a family get together with our children and grandchildren and had the most amazing time. Luckily the weather was gorgeous but there are loads of board games to play indoors on a rainy day or family time in the evenings. Lara and Clive provide everything you need and we were delighted to have some cold beers in the fridge, a bottle of wine, a full fruit bowl and even some sweets for the children, waiting for us. Thank you Lara and Clive for a fab holiday and being the perfect hosts. We will definitely be returning next year!

Location was perfect for the cost and countryside in a beautiful part of East Preston.

  • The ideal place to relax. Quiet, intimate and surrounded with nature. The house is very clean and has everything you need. The check in was easy. Joanne was excellent with her communication and always responded quickly. I would say that the house looks better then on the pictures. We had such a wonderful time in this place! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Joanne.

Seaview enjoys one of the best coastal locations in West Sussex. Sitting behind the popular greensward it offers fine views straight out to sea. All of the main rooms face out to sea along a piece of coastline that attracts visitors and walkers all year round. The house is literally 26 metres from the beach and enjoys such a great setting. It is nicely presented with a large reception area and two conservatories to enjoy. There are two upstairs bedrooms both fitted with king sized double beds and with fantastic views out to sea. The main bedroom also has the benefit of a small balcony as well. There is a family bathroom upstairs with a shower fitted above the bath. Downstairs there is a separate bedroom suite fitted with twin beds. This room as an ensuite shower room with large shower cubicle. The house enjoys a private setting with an enclosed patio garden ideal for outdoor dining. There is also a raised garden area that offers a lovely view across the grass and out to sea.The house is 0.5 miles from Rustington village centre where there is a nice choice of restaurants, pubs and coffee houses. There is also a Waitrose store for any necessary provisions. Two miles to the west along the coast is Littlehampton with its popular beaches on either side of the River Arun estuary. From here there are boat trips that can be taken along the coast.A charge of £25.00 per stay or per week, whichever is shorter, will be made for each dog (guide dogs for the blind and registered assistance dogs excepted). Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog with you so that we can add the additional cost onto the booking. This property will accept a maximum of two dogs.
It is rare to find a house this close to the sea. Sitting immediately behind the Greensward that runs between Worthing and Littlehampton, this house enjoys a prime setting. The Greensward is always popular with walkers throughout the year and for that reason this house is very much pet friendly as well.
Rustington is a bustling seaside village, which feels as if there is activity without feeling in any way over run. The centre of the village is a half mile walk from Seaview where there is a choice of restaurants, coffee house and local pubs. There is also a nice range of small and independent shops along its main high street.
  • We stayed in this beautiful house with the magnificent sea view for 5 days in February. The first day we woke up in our master bedroom upstairs and enjoyed the beautiful sea soundscape, which was very relaxing. It was unique to go for a walk during the ebb collecting stones and mussels. We could recommend to bring waterproof shoes or better rubber boots with you - and if you come with children even several pairs for them and outerwear to be able to change. Our children (11 and 13) enjoyed a lot to be at the seaside by their own, but they came back every time wet. During our stay we visited the Royal Pavilion in Brighton and lernt a lot about the Georg IV who was the uncle of Queen Victoria. In Brighton we can also recommend the Jazz club The Paris House with every day live music events. It takes you about 2 hours to go to London, which is feasible, but looking back we wouldn't do it again as there are so many other nice places to visit not that far away from Rustington. We wished we could stay longer!

  • We had a fabulous time in East Preston, satying at Jason's place. Highly recommended! Everything was perfect and super clean, very modern and new. We loved the terrasse and the very quite area. Jason's house is one of the few places where the photos on Airbnb show exactly what it looks like in reality. It's a great location, a very short walk to get the beach and there is a nice pub, fish'n'chips, pizza, and other places to eat literally round the corner. Best Regards, Ralf

  • Found the property to be excellent value and the host could not have been more accommodating. It's ideally placed with regards to the beach and only a short 10 minute walk to the shops. Inside the house was in good condition and had all we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

  • The house is lovely, clean and well set out. It was a great base for getting to Goodwood, Chichester, etc. Literally 5 mins walk to the sea. Milk, bread, muffins and bacon greeted our arrival. Tea and coffee too. We would definitely come again if it's available next year. S, P, J & J

  • A place à would recommend , as its location and the warm welcome of our host.

    Frederique2018-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous little house with pretty much everything you could need. Warm, clean. comfortable and spacious. Bedding and towels provided which is always a great thing for us. Plus a few 'essentials' should we have forgotten anything. Hot Cross Buns were enjoyed by all - thank you! Plenty of room for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) and all our stuff, plus space to dry out our rather soggy clothes when needed. Literally 5 minutes from the sea and not very far to walk along the front to Littlehampton where we found cafes, parks, a miniature railway and some sand on the beach when the tide was out. If we are down that way again we would have no reason to look for anywhere else to stay.

The room: The bedding is top, the decoration very maritime corresponds to the photos, there is a wall socket for usb which is very convenient if we forget his UK charger like me ... It is 2 minutes from the sea where there is a great walk to do. The hosts: I felt very welcome at home, Claire and Kevin were lovely and patient. They gave me plenty of explanation about the city and England. I appreciated the quality of our exchanges. I thank them wholeheartedly for this stay.

  • We were so thrilled with Valerie's cottage, it is beautifully decorated and everything is stylish and cosy. We particularly appreciated the huge breakfast basket which meant we didn't need to worry about supper or breakfast after a stressful day. Valerie took so much care in making us welcome, we could have stayed another month! Parking is right outside and the cottage is a short walk from the village and two of the best food pubs in the area. Thank you so much. We have loved our stay here.

  • The cottage is beautiful and the perfect size - a lovely bedroom area and spacious living/dining area. Valerie was extremely good at communicating before and during our stay, and made sure we felt right at home! There were also plenty of generous amenities such as snacks, milk, tea, coffee, fruit, toiletries and towels, which made a big difference. Also only a short walk into the beautiful village of Angmering and only 10/15mins in the car to the historic town of Arundel. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

    Emily2019-08-26T00:00:00Z

  • Fantastically positioned self-contained accommodation. Walking to Angmering where we enjoyed supper at The Lamb and fish and chips the next evening. Great Co-op open from 7-10 everyday. Accommodation spotlessly clean and everything supplied that you could need. Valerie and her husband were charming and helpful and responded immediately to any enquiries. 10 minutes to Arundel where the Castle and museum are wonderful, along with walks at the river and great shopping. So many beaches near by. Thoroughly recommend.

  • A very relaxing, romantic and peaceful stay at Valerie's Guest House this weekend. The space was plenty big enough for two with a VERY comfortable bed, large lounge space/kitchen area and adequate bathroom. It felt like a home away from home and Valerie and David were very welcoming. The location of the Guest House is lovely, you overlook a beautiful garden and have access to a lovely walled patio area. Anmering is a picturesque village a stones-throw away from the south coast. 100% recommend Valerie's place for a calming weekend away!

This is a B&B, not an entire unit, so breakfast is provided but all other meals should be taken off the premises. Family rooms of 1 x double & 1 x 3-bed room + cot for baby, with en-suite bathrooom. Beach 5 mins walk & close to South Downs National Park, Historic Arundel, Vibrant Brighton and Glorious Goodwood. Ideal for beach or touring holiday.
Enjoy the tranquil setting of a typical English cottage but be within easy reach of many attractions. 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a 'childrens' bedroom with 3 beds + cot for baby are available. The children's bedroom accesses the bathroom through the double bedroom so is suitable for families or very good friends! This is on a B&B basis in my home where I live.
The Old Cottage is situated in a hamlet between two villages and is surrounded by arable farm land. There is a small river close by with a footpath leading south to the sea and north towards the South Downs. The Bluebird Cafe is on the beach within 10 minutes walk and there are pubs in the villages, the nearest one, The Tudor Close, Ferring, being 15 minutes walk away across the fields - there is a footpath but torches and wellies are a useful addition in wet/dark! East Preston village boosts 3 pubs, a fish and chip shop and Chinese and Indian restaurants. The Lamb and The Spotted Cow - both pub restaurants, are in Angmering village - highly recommended but booking is advised.
  • This is a very lovely and tranquil place a very short walk from a gorgeous public beach - great access to several great destinations including Little Hampton and Brighton. The hostess was superb and wonderfully accommodating - thanks Gill!

  • Tucked away in a no through road is Gills quaint country cottage. Super comfy beds and good shower. Gill is a very friendly host and makes you feel very welcome. We went to Goodwood revival, but wished I could have done some walks from her home. Thank you Gill for a pleasant stay.

  • We had a fantastic stay. The room was very spacious, and everything was super clean and high quality. I especially enjoyed the shower! The Location was too good to be true, the beach is at the end of the street, and the neighbourhood is very peaceful. Gabby and Jenny are very welcoming, we could stayed another week!
