  • Beautiful house, better than the pictures reveal!

  • We had such a great weekend for our friends 30th birthday, the house was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great, as the hot tubs went wrong once or twice but they were there within minutes to sort it out. We asked for take away menus and they were there, they couldn't do enough for us. Only downside was the water kept going cold so we really had to stagger showers but there was 14 of us and the house wasn't the warmest but it's a barn conversion and it was very windy!! We have all said we would definitely come back and stay here!

    Jo2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is a beautiful place to stay with a very nice hot tub. It is in a quiet location but near to plenty of pubs and beaches. The water can be a little chilly but as long as you stagger showers this can be managed. Wifi is also a bit hit and miss but does the job for a few days away. Thank you very much!

    Kathryn2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing! We stayed for two nights for a hen do and had such a good time! The kitchen was fab, and it's so spacious. We hired butler's in the buff for cocktail making and games - it's a really good space! The lounge is a lovely place to relax, and every bedroom was really nicely decorated and clean! Underfloor heating throughout which was nice. The hot tub was fantastic! Would definitely recommend for a large group! And the check in and out was super easy!

    Chloe2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Exceeded our expectations and the pictures does not do this barn justice, it's even more beautiful in real life. when we arrive we was greeted and shown around the home and we were made to feel so welcomed like this was our own place. The barn was spotless and didn't find any dirt anywhere. You're provided with towels, tea-towels, toilet roll, tea, coffee, sugar and milk which was so thoughtful as that makes all the difference. we had our dad's 50th birthday here and there was more than enough room for everyone (as a family of 13) it was so nice to be able to share a dinner table together, a living room where you can all sit down it was truly beautiful. we were provided with so many games, puzzles, dvd's etc. but my only recommendation would be there should be a TV added to the down stairs living room as kids wanted one thing on the telly and adults wanted another so it would've been great to have another option, we personally thought the kitchen as we noticed the Freeview Ariel and that's where we spent most of our time. But we couldn't fault this place even if we tried, thank you so much for a lovely stay, we will 100% be back.

  • We had a wonderful hen weekend at Medieval Swafield Barn! It's a great space for 15 people and all of our party was wowed by the barn. The hot tub was a big hit and stayed very warm throughout the weekend. The kitchen island is a great space and the dining area was comfortable for all of us. We did run short of hot water despite staggering our showers but you are warned about this in the welcome book at the barn. Our correspondence with the hosts before our stay was great and every query and request was answered - we requested extra tea towels during our stay as only one had been provided and they were brought straight away. We also enquired before our stay about whether bluetooth speakers were available and the host confirmed they had purchased some for the barn - thank you! Overall a great weekend had by all! Several of our party are thinking of occasions that they can book the barn for!

    Claire2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, would recommend 100%, stayed up all night and no complaints from neighbours, lovely hot tub, lovely rooms, thanks for having us

Additionally, there is a sofa on the first floor for watching TV Wifi now up and running! Sheringham is one of the few places in Britain where you can see both the sunrise and sunset over the sea The bathroom is off the kitchen on the ground floor and the bedroom is on the first floor with ceiling open to the rafters so restricted head height in some places. The electric shower is not a power shower, please don't be disappointed. The accommodation is fresh with a seaside theme. We leave UHT milk, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and sugar to welcome you. Soap, shampoo, Egyptian cotton bed linen, bath towels (please note no hand towels), hairdryer and iron are provided. There is a key safe which offers ease of access upon arrival. The property is only a few minutes from Sheringham beach. On road unlimited parking can be found on Cremer St and Cliff Rd, both very close by. There is also timed parking on the High St and a pay and display car park at the bottom of beach Rd. The Salvation Army car park is practically opposite Little Gem and if spaces are available, it would be possible to unload upon arrival. Parking may be limited during the peak holiday season and not always easy to find There is Wifi and a TV I do not allow pets
Sheringham is a vibrant, friendly seaside town. Beautiful golden sands and traditional beach huts, ice cream cones and bunting set the scene. The thriving high street offers a wealth of independent stores, coffee shops and places to eat. • Little Gem is a cosy, warm and well equipped modern space close to the sea and in a great location for exploring North Norfolk.

    Marion2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Absoloutely gorgeous. A very well located dwelling situated in the heart of the town and minutes from the sea. Beautifully decorated inside and lots of extra little touches for when you arrive. Everything was easy to find during our stay and a well equipped little home.

    Louise2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay! What an incredible space Little Gem is. Such a sweet, cosy yet modern place to stay. Location is great. Lots of places to eat/drink. Little Gem has everything you need, you could just turn up with a change of clothes! Kitchen & bathroom kitted out with everything you need. Extremely clean. Alison was in communication with us lots and provided a wealth of information. You won’t be disappointed if you stay.

    Louise2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place to stay. Very clean with lots of tips on where to go and where to eat. Great location just off of the High Street and is situated two minutes from the beach in one direction and the station in the other. Not much in Sheringham is open late in the off season (November - March) but there was plenty of places open in nearby villages if you have a car, or in Cromer, which was only a very short and cheap train ride away.

    Robin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is well named, it is very small! But that's part of its charm and Alison has somehow managed to cram in everything you're likely to need. It's a great place to stay for a visit to the north Norfolk coast, being in the heart of Sheringham means it's very close to some good local pubs, cafes, and restaurants and a short journey away from the other towns and villages along the coast.

    Steven2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is just that, a compact but beautifully formed haven in a nice little seaside town. The ‘house’ is very clean, warm and well equipped. The linen is lovely and the bed comfortable.

    Wootton2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place (little is the word). Very clean, everything you need and right in the town centre so close to everything.

  • This two nights break was booked as a surprise Christmas present for my parents. Sarah was amazing from the day I booked and all the way through the stay, even sending a gift certificate so I had something to give my parents on Christmas Day. My parents had an amazing time and couldn't comment anymore highly about the decor, generous welcome goodies and Sarah's hospitality. They are keen to return and I will be booking a stay for myself!

    Rebecca2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • Sarah is an amazing host, with such a great attention to detail. We had a lovely trip away with our fur babies. We saw the seals and their pups, explored the beautiful Norfolk countryside, stumbled across Lord Nelsons birthplace and enjoyed a dog friendly Christmas Market in Creake Abbey. A great little holiday if you love your dogs and want to spend some quality time with them, lots of great walks and a lovely cosy cottage to relax in afterwards. Love from Amie, Dan, Tilly (Westie) and Miley (Cocker Spaniel)

Historic WW2 Lookout with exceptional cliff top views, now our quirky but totally unique home which is available when we are away. It is set in secluded woodland with private parking. It’s 300m from the beach plus 10 min walk into town along the coast path. There is a terrace with BBQ and front garden with direct access to the clifftop steps to the beach. It is small but it has 4 linked rooms that sleep 4 with a kitchen, shower room and ironing board.
The original building was erected in 1942 as a very solid World War II Lookout and listening post. It was modified for use by the coastguard after the war and it is this flat roofed structure that remains relatively unchanged to this day: even the concrete fence posts are still in place! The main room has stunning panoramic sea views on 3 sides through the original slanted WW2 bronze windows and from here there is a door on to the terrace. As there is no separate sitting room this main room contains a single bed which can be used as a seat when not in use. There is also a dining table with 5 stools, 2 high chairs at the windows and one armchair. The kitchen leads off the main room and has a small oven, microwave oven, halogen hobs, a fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a copper water filter, a kettle and a toaster. From the kitchen stairs leads down to a linking room containing a single bed which connects to the main bedroom which has twin beds that can be converted to a double. The shower room is "wet room" style and access is off the link room. It has an electric shower, WC and heated towel rail. There is a TV, new electric radiators and free unlimited high speed Wifi. There is direct access through the front garden onto the coastal path with steps close by leading down to the sandy beach just minutes away. At the back of the property there is a woodland footpath which leads to The Lighthouse and The Royal Cromer Golf Course. It is a mere 5-10 minute walk into the centre of town along the promenade. Cromer is a quintessential British seaside holiday town which boasted many famous visitors in its Victorian heyday when people travelled by train to enjoy the coastal scenery and take restorative dips in the sea whilst breathing in its famously clean air. Many of the historic buildings remain and it has a pier with an active lifeboat station and the Pavilion Theatre. The beautifully renovated sea front has been brought right up to date with the addition of the Glide Surf School & Cedar House Surf Shop and the North Norfolk Lifesaving Club. It is a great place to learn to surf or try stand up paddle boarding ( SUP ) in flatter conditions plus you can watch the more experienced surfers surf the big North Sea swells all year round.

In short The Lookout is a wonderful beach front retreat with a sense of history, breathtaking views of the coast, fresh air, delicious local seafood, dark skies, birdsong where you can listen to the sound of the sea yet you have all the benefits of being part of a unique and historic English coastal town.
  • The description says it all. This is a unique place to stay. We spent a lot of time looking out at passing ships. Walking alone the beach, just enjoying simple pleasures. A great place to get away from hustle & bustle.

  • The Lookout is the perfect place to unwind. We stayed for a long weekend in November and it was a tranquil bolthole, ideal for watching the world go by or wandering on the miles of beaches. The lounge space is just stunning with views on 3 sides of the room whilst being private with the height of the windows. Emily’s place has everything you need and she’s got some great recommendations for local places to visit.

  • A stay in one of Amber’s bell tents is an opportunity to spend some wonderful outdoor time, in touch with nature, whilst still enjoying life’s comforts. The barn in the glamping field has an array of games, such as table tennis, boules and badminton, as well as fishing nets for pond dipping, a bike to race around the grounds and some pen and paper activities. My kids were happy roaming and playing for hours on end without the need for organised activities. The tent itself is spacious and extremely well equipped. We wanted for nothing. And there are plenty of supplies to buy in the barn (via an honesty box system) to keep the BBQ sizzling and the log fires burning. Vases of fresh wild flowers and marshmallows to toast on the fire, were lovely thoughtful touches. The setting and location are excellent, with plenty of places to explore in the immediate surrounds and easy access by car to beautiful beaches and kids play parks. I spent the most amazing week here with my three children, bonding, laughing and snuggling. Absolutely beautiful times. Thank you 😊

  • I found both the host and the location idealistic both in the nostalgia and the cleanliness. The location next to the manor are an added benefit for use of walks, peace and space. I went with children who found plenty to do. I was concerned initially as i thought this place might only suit young children of ages 9 and under as we generally camp in go active locations. However, my children being teenage years loved it. There is lots of local activities to do including fabulous beaches. steam trains, zoos, and water sports. The site itself is not over crowded and lots of space - well balanced. We made some good memories here.

  • We had a very relaxing time in one of Amber's bell tents this July. The beds and linens make for the best night's sleep camping I may have ever had. We slept like babies! And she even put out beds for our two babies, speaking of which - a wonderful host. We also appreciated all the very useful local tips. Thanks, Amber!

  • Fantastic setting. Everything you need to live comfortably is in the tent. The inside stove is a wonderful addition. Amber was very easy to get through to and been extremely informative in the build up to our stay and during. Would highly recommend it for a group of friends looking for a comfortable green space break. Go see the seals at Blakeney point if you get the chance

Charming former fisherman's cottage; minutes from the wide sandy beaches and centrally located in Cromer town centre on a quiet road. Fully modernised with central heating and original features perfect for cozy winter breaks and summer holidays alike. Private park space two mins walk away.
A chance to stay in a listed former-fisherman's cottage in a prime location in the centre of the town. Full of character; the cottage is the perfect place to unwind helped along by walks along the beach and for the brave dips in the North sea. Close to amenities and good local pubs; everything is on hand for a relaxing break. The cottage has been awarded 3 stars by Visit England. Note although the cottage sleeps five it is more suited to 4 adults than 5 as the third bedroom is very cosy and there are only 4 soft seats in the living room.
Cromer is a great place to be based to discover North Norfolk or alternatively just stay local and enjoy the wide sandy beaches, white cliffs and Victorian pier.
  • Great cosey stay. Would recommend.

  • An amazing location & a cute & cozy cottage awaits you....absolutely charming

  • We had a great stay in Lauren’s lovely cottage. Great location, minutes from the sea, and Lauren was a brilliant and communicative host. Local recommendations in the property guide were brilliant too!

    Alice2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lauren’s lovely cottage was the perfect place for our family of 4 to stay for a few days and explore Cromer and the north Norfolk coast. We loved the cottage- you’re staying in a part of Cromer’s maritime history. The cottage is compact but warm and cozy and comfortable with sufficient kit to cook and eat a decent meal. The location is as perfect as you could want- quiet but right by the town centre with nice places to eat and drink within less than a minutes walk (The Gangway for drinks, Nash falafel place, the Thai restaurant, the Red Lion cosy friendly cliff top pub, grey seal coffee all great, all moments away). The cottage is at the top of a short path down to the beach and seafront walkway and 5 mins along to the pier. Lauren’s communication was great and meant zero stress arriving or leaving and there is plenty of information in the home about local things to do. Thanks Lauren!

  • We had a lovely weekend stay at Lauren's cottage. It's brilliantly located in the centre of town with a parking space just a few minutes' walk away. It was very clean when we arrived and we liked the homely feel.

  • Lovely cosy cottage in central Cromer with great sea views from the main bedroom. A really good base for exploring the area.

    George2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage - very close to the sea. Met all our needs - a group of 5 accommodated easily. Place restored and transformed beautifully and well managed and a pleasure to stay in. Stairs steep though after a night on the town! Great notes on history of house and area and ideas on what to do (and not to do) in area thoughtfully provided and well presented. Ease of communication was effortless. Well recommended.

    Bram2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Lauren’s lovely cottage in Cromer which is perfectly positioned for the town and beach and exploring the surrounding area. Lauren left us some thoughtful treats which were very appreciated. We stayed with our 2 children and all had a great time. We really hope to stay another time - thank you Lauren

The Good Shepherd, located in the seaside village of Overstrand is just a 3 minute walk to the beach and 1 mile from the Victorian fishing town of Cromer. The Shepherds Hut is situated on a secluded plot at the side of our property, overlooking flower beds and exotic shrubs. The hut contains a comfortable double bed, log burner and mini fridge. Outside is a separate heated shower-room, small private lawn, fire pit & bbq. Ideal for a peaceful retreat, perfect for couples and lone adventurers.
  • Mim's Shepard's hut was the perfect getaway. It is very stylish and cosy with everything you could need - log fire and beautiful shower included. There was more than enough room for two people and the White Horse pub down the road does tasty food! We walked from Cromer to Overstrand along the beach and back again along the cliff tops- beautiful scenery. Highly recommend staying here!!

    Anna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great couple of nights here. The place is thoughtfully decorated and very cosy, even on a wet and blustery February weekend (Loo trips had to be times to avoid the rain). Overstrand has a couple of cafes and a decent if rather soulless pub. Cromer has lots of facilities and if, like me, you come on public transport, is a 30 min walk or short bus ride away. My only comment would be that it would be brilliant if more fuel could be provided for the small yet very effective burner, especially on such a chilly weekend. Also note that there is no phone signal, at least not on O2! Overall a lovely, comfortable and very relaxing couple of nights. Shame it wasn’t longer so I could have delved into the excellent book selection provided!

    William2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great couple of days staying in the hut! Nice comfy bed and loved being so close to the beach. 😊

    Emma2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy, even in storm Dennis. Totally recommend.

    Olly2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was lovely for 2 for a quiet weekend away (there was no phone signal which might not be ideal for everyone but we loved it - we were planning a phone free weekend anyway!). Bit nippy when we arrived but it was February in Norfolk after all, and once we got the log fire going it was so cosy. The little touches were great too, and we used the 'walking in Norfolk' guide for a walk on out first day. Would recommend!!

    Ellie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly location wise it is great! Very near the sea and near to the corner shop and pub. Can walk to Cromer in 30-45 minutes along a cliff top walk or on the beach. The hut is very nice and cosy. Very stylish place. Got a tiny bit chilly but had the log burner and radiator to keep it warm. Would recommend bringing a few layers if coming in the winter months, but is all part of the fun of it. Some nice walks both to Cromer but also inland to north repps which we found in the walks in Norfolk book found in the hut. The white horse is a nice place for dinner or one of the many places in Cromer!

    Wiggy2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice little place to stay for a romantic retreat, in a great location with great hosts!

  • A beautiful home in a charming location handy for everywhere on the North coast. A really good base for exploring but also a wonderfully comfortable place to hunker down in when the weather's just a bit too wild outside. Excellent facilities but also a few generous extra touches of hospitality that make a real difference.

  • We absolutely adored our stay in Mark's lovely cottage. We really enjoyed the quiet location but were only a few minutes to the beach which you can walk along to get to Cromer. The coasthopper bus also came in handy to help us get around the area without a car. The log burner was a definite plus and makes the cottage feel so cozy :)

    Katherine2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely wonderful. It was very cosy and had everything you could possibly need for a get away to the Norfolk coast! Mark was excellent in terms of anything we needed help with. Would definitely go back again.

  • Fantastic location to walk into Cromer. Great private entrance, with parking space and outside space. The caravan has everything you need, small but cosy. We stayed during storm Dennis, and there were no problems at all. It's really sheltered and was so warm. Amanda is a great host and responds quickly when needed. Great value for money. We will be staying again.

  • We searched for Airbnbs in Cromer and this one attracted our attention. Its a 10 minute walk to the town and a bit further to the train station but we had tickets for the christmas show on the pier on the Friday evening and tickets for the Wolves V Norwich match on the Saturday so it was very handy for us for both occasions. The van is absolutely beautiful and clean with a big comfy bed. We didnt actually meet Amanda but we met her friendly husband. All the directions were spot on to find the van and the instructions for access and so were the instructions on how to switch on the fire and the tips for leaving the heaters on when we went out and overnight were also useful and it was a bit chilly

"Without doubt the best airbnb experience we've ever had." Our cabin is perfectly located for a memorable coastal break. Set within our wonderful garden, the cabin has a king-sized bed, TV and sofa. It doesn't have running water so guests use the bathroom facilities in our house a few steps away. We provide a choice of delicious breakfasts. This lovely retreat is ideal for beach and country walks, trips to nearby attractions, local pubs and restaurants...or just a peaceful relaxing getaway.
We have a lovely home close to the sea, including our garden cabin which is set up to provide accommodation for our guests in this fantastic location. The cabin is set up as a bedroom and sitting area. It has a comfortable king-sized bed, a cosy sitting area with a sofa, TV and a wardrobe/drawer for your clothes. Clean bedding and towels are supplied as well as dressing gowns and crocs for your use. There's a smoke alarm to increase your safety. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the cabin and a microwave and mini-fridge close by. It doesn't have running water so guests use the downstairs toilet/washroom and upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower in our house, a few steps away. If required, we can provide a simple to use and hygienic portable toilet for discreet use in the cabin. The cabin sits in our wonderful gravel garden which we love and there are places for our guests to sit and read or just watch the world go by. We provide off-road parking meaning your car is only a few yards from the cabin. As hosts, we will help you feel welcome and this includes providing breakfast, ranging from a full English fried special to a choice of cereals and yogurts. And we've got five out of five hygiene rating from the local council. We look forward to meeting our guests, whatever their background or age, and helping them get as much enjoyment from staying here as possible, with our first-hand knowledge of visitor attractions, and those places less popular but just as special.
Our accommodation is only five minutes walk from beautiful sandy and unspoilt beaches where you can stroll along the clifftops or by the sea. Overstrand is a pretty, quiet village with a cheerful pub, convenient shop/post office, a couple of cafes and lovely Victorian architecture. Being in a beautiful part of North Norfolk there are many things to do throughout the year. Here are a few examples: *Walking along deserted, clean beaches, cliff paths and the gentle countryside; *Swimming in the sea; *Visiting nearby seaside resorts of Cromer, Sheringham, Wells-next-the-sea and other seaside villages along the North Norfolk coast; *Playing golf at the fabulous clifftop courses nearby; *Cycling or driving on the quiet country roads; *Visiting historic stately homes and country houses; *Strolling around lovely country gardens; *Seeing some of the finest church architecture in the country, ranging from Saxon round towers to Victorian gothic; *Birdwatching on the marshes only a few miles to the west; *Seeing the seals on boat trips or going to beaches where mother seals and their pups are resting; *Discovering the unique, peaceful inland waterways of the Norfolk Broads - day hire boats are available; *Tasting fresh seasonal local produce served at excellent gastro pubs and restaurants including the famous Cromer Crab; *Visiting unspoilt villages and market towns; *Boat trips to see seals from nearby seaside towns; *Exploring the fine city of Norwich, ranked fifth in the country for shopping. *Carnivals and special events take place all along the North Norfolk coast during the Summer including the Cromer carnival week during August; food festivals; music festivals; art trails; and the renowned 1940s weekend in Sheringham during September.
  • A tranquil little cabin in a beautiful part of the country. I can't believe how quiet it was! Some of the best nights sleep I've had in quite some time. The hosts are welcoming and warm people. I can't wait to go back.

  • I had the most lovely stay at Paul and Amanda's cabin. They are both so welcoming and kind, and made me feel immediately comfortable and at home. The cabin is so cute and cosy, and only a two minute walk from the sea. Breakfast was delicious and the whole stay was a perfect balance between solitude and nice company! I arrived without a car (train to Cromer and then a walk along the beach) and it worked just fine. Thanks so much Paul and Amanda, I look forward to visiting again!

  • Amanda and Paul were fabulous hosts. Me and my friend were both vegan and they catered for our needs above and beyond, the breakfast they gave us was fantastic and they’d even left some vegan treats in the cabin, as well as purchasing some vegan milk for us both. They had great tips on where to go, eat and their communication was great too! We hope to stay again in the future.

  • A bright cheerful welcoming cottage in a perfect location for keen walkers as the beach is so nearby. The beach walks are fabulous you can walk along to Cromer and Overstrand or Sheringham the other way. We spent a peaceful relaxing week in this fab cottage x

  • The cottage is very cute, it’s modern with some lovely original features and some beautiful pieces of old furniture. There is everything you need for a comfortable home from home stay. Having the beach on the doorstep is great but it’s in a good spot to travel along the coast to some other beautiful beaches too. Would highly recommend staying at Melinda Cottages

  • Second stay at Melinda cottage, beautiful house in a fabulous location. Definitely recommend!

  • This is a beautiful cottage owned by lovely people. It is truly a home from home. It is very clean and welcoming and the extra touches the owners put in place were very thoughtful. They were very easy to contact too.

    Sharon2018-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful cottage; beautifully fitted out and with everything you need. Extremely dog friendly yet everywhere immaculate. The stairs are steep and the bathroom is downstairs -these are the only slight negatives. The fish and chip shop in East Runton is second to none, the Fishing Boat pub is very friendly with very good selection of very reasonably priced beer. Just a 15 minute walk into Cromer and literally 2 minutes walk from the beach. We had the most wonderful week walking big chunks of the coastal path and catching the bus to and from. Loads of wonderful crab and lobster shacks and great delis selling locally sourced food all along the coast. It was all magical.

    Jenny2018-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in great location, very clean and tastefully decorated. Nice garden, which feels very secluded, to relax in after busy days exploring. Our stay was very enjoyable and we would thoroughly recommend!

  • We loved staying here and found the whole place to be really comfortable and relaxing. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, everything has been thought of. Stuart was a great host, quick to respond and very hospitable. The only thing that was a very minor shame was the fact that the kitchen windows didn't open (or at least we couldn't get them to open) to let some air in after cooking but that's all. Really recommend this place and will definitely be coming back in Spring.

The Old Mill Annex is on a private lane in the village of East Runton. It is a short walk to its shops, restaurants and pubs and only five minutes from the beach. The Annex is the perfect couple’s retreat – a detached property with its own garden and small wood, one mile from Cromer and within easy reach of the rest of the North Norfolk coast. The Annex is a quiet, secluded and private space for you to enjoy in peace, managed by Graham and Gill who live next door.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable for visits at any time of the year. There is off-road parking next to the property, private wi-fi, tv/video and garden furniture. The light, modern kitchen and dining area contains a single hob, microwave, toaster and fridge. There is a shower room with heated towel rail … perfect after surfing! There is also a cot available if you let us know in advance.
If you don't know North Norfolk already you have a treat in store. The area is an all-year-round holiday destination with picturesque countryside, great beaches and ample opportunities for walking and cycling. There are two very special golf courses within three miles of the Annex. East Runton is a hidden gem, boasting one the best and safest beaches along the entire coast. It is covered by lifeguards in the summer and is a year-round attraction for surfers. The village itself has a genuine 'local' plus a couple of other places for eating and drinking as well as a convenience store. Beyond East Runton are numerous pubs and restaurants with local sea food featuring in most menus.
  • This was a fantastic place to stay to visit the Norfolk Coast for New Year. The accommodation was perfect - clean with a lovely and very large bedroom and we enjoyed walking to Cromer and from there to Overstrand as well as having a drink in the Fishing Boat pub in the village. The hosts were really friendly and helpful and all in all it made for a brilliant three night stay.

  • Lovely little bolt hole in Norfolk. Large cosy bedroom upstairs with sofa and snuggly blanket! Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided on arrival were a nice touch. Highly recommend a stay here.

  • A very comfortable, peaceful place to stay

    Dawn2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here for three nights. Great location for walks and a beautiful private garden for morning coffee! We came out of season for summer so tip for future guests - local food outlets close quite early so best prepare or eat earlier! Fantastic stay and will definitely be coming back. Thank you Gill and Graham! The windmill is beautiful!

    Zoe2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic week at the Old Mill Annex, which is well appointed, very clean and deceptively spacious. The location was great, being within easy reach of Cromer and nearby villages but also quiet with a private garden area. Gill and Graham were excellent hosts, providing useful information on places to visit and clear instructions for checking in.

    Stuart2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Annex is a sweet and comfortable garage conversion in East Runton and well located for the village centre and its amenities. It was spotlessly clean and there were thoughtful touches like tea, coffee, milk and biscuits when I arrived. The garden is quirky with lots of secret places and ideal for sitting out in and just relaxing. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Cromer beach is award winning and one of the finest in England. There are numerous pubs, restaurants and coffee houses, our personal favourites being North Lodge cafe and the nationally acclaimed No1 Fish and Chip restaurant.
  • This is a wonderful place. There is so much space, it’s beautifully, stylishly but simply furnished with a Cromer / seaside theme. There are so many lovely touches like a stick of Cromer rock on every pillow. The beds are really comfortable with excellent mattresses. It’s really well located for the beach and also has parking which is especially useful. Can’t recommend it enough.

  • We had a lovely time in Teehan's place in Cromer. The studio and bedrooms are well appointed with every possible amenity. The place is spotlessly clean with many welcoming touches. Teehan responded very quickly and kept in touch with us. Access was straightforward. We had delightful walks to Overstrand and along the beach to Sheringham. We needed a peaceful break with walks and this was beyond our expectations. Highly recommended.

  • Susan is a an excellent host, very warm and helpful. She was very flexible with the check-in process and easy to communicate with. The location is really good with the beach and Pier a stones throw away. The room was cozy and clean, although there was some traffic noise till about 11 pm as we had left our windows open. Susan had also provided us with breakfast, all in all a great place to stay with value for money.

    Varun2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was really lovely staying at Susan’s house; Susan is a wonderful, friendly host and her home is situated perfectly for exploring Cromer. We only wish we had had more time there! Highly recommend.

  • Great location, clean and spacious room and an amazing host. Susan made sure everything I needed was there, from breakfast to extra duvets in case it was cold in the room. Her hospitality and the vibe of the house made me feel comfortable right away. It's a nice neighbourhood. Quiet, yet close to the beach and the shops. Better than some of the hotels I've been on my trip. I'd definitely go back here next time I'm in Cromer.

Rustic retreat on organic smallholding. Peaceful location on the Cromer Ridge with some of the best views in Norfolk. Starry skies with no light pollution. Hare and deer in the woods. Wood burning stove, microwave, toaster and kettle. Compost loo. Only three miles from traditional seaside town of Sheringham. In a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Great walking and cycling country.
  • Great back to basics place to stay, cosy with the log burner and good location. Very nice host thank you.

  • This is a lovely place to stay. The hosts were friendly. We were worried we might be cold (stayed in February) but with the fire on it was super cosy. The stars at night were incredible.

  • A lovely place to stay, the hosts are incredibly friendly an welcoming. The hut is lovely, spotlessly clean and is set in a beautiful landscape. It is ideally located for many of the local visitor attractions and a great place to retreat back to after a busy day out. I can't recommend it highly enough and would definitely go back.

Our cottage is a light-filled modern house built in 2006 down a country lane, views over open fields. 2 miles to the coast. Three double bedrooms. Garden. Cosy in winter. Stately homes and bird sanctuaries nearby. Only available weekly Sat-Sat.
  • Lovely, warm, well-equipped cottage in a great location. Easy walk across the fields to Cromer in one direction or to Felbrigg Hall in the other on the Weaver’s Way (or a 6.5 circular which was great.) Quiet, dark with wonderful night skies and lovely views. We’ll be back!

    Helen2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect house for a family of four. Lots of space, very quiet; a lovely space for everyone to be in.

    Martin2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best things about this lovely cottage is it’s amazing location. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere you can actually walk from the door to loads of great locations - Felbrigg hall and the walks around its lovely estate, Cromer beach and the Amazona zoo. Or it’s a short drive to Sheringham, happisburgh and the stunning blakely nature reserve. We weren’t short of things to do but the house itself also provided a relaxing spot to hang out in with a lovely private garden and rooms that were almost all window. I can’t really emphasise the loveliness of the windows enough - by day it felt like you were actually in the expansive wheat field from the comfort of your bed and by night, with the curtains down, the effect was like being in a luxurious tent, without any of the downsides of actually being in a tent. Eileen was a great host, good about communicating, and the house was full of lovely things that made it feel like you were in a real home rather than a holiday cottage. There were also lots of nice touches that helPed keep the kids entertained - board games, a rope swing, buckets and spades etc. Finally, the kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials you always forget and, as an added bonus, there was an amazing collection of books if you’re into that sort of thing. I’d love to go back someday!

  • This was our second stay at Hobby Cottage. We had another fabulous week. The cottage has everything we needed for the adults and our two year old granddaughter. It is in a beautiful secluded location but only 10 minutes away from supermarkets etc. It is ideally placed for all of North Norfolks coastal and inland attractions. Eileen is a wonderful hoast, helpful and quick to respond. We are already thinking about our next stay.

    Alan2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely modern property in a tranquil location. A great base for country walks and easy access to the coastal towns.

    Stephen2019-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Hobby Cottage. Like a lot of other reviewers, we found that the cottage was even better than described. If you are a keen walker, then the location will be perfect as it is on a well marked walking route which takes you to the coastal path or in land. The house is extremely well equipped and offers great views over the quiet fields surrounding it. Very highly recommended!

    Paul2019-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Hobby cottage is the perfect family holiday home. We all felt at home within minutes. The location is great, close enough to Clover to enjoy the sea side but set in the countryside with amazing views from the bedrooms and lounge. The bay windows makes you feel like being outside all the time!

A super, secret hideaway on the outskirts of Weybourne village, tucked down a private drive, just a few minutes' walk from the beach, coastal path and village amenities. As the name implies, Mill End forms part of a converted water mill (and still has the mill stream running through the garden) and retains many character features, with beams, vaulted ceilings and traditional Norfolk pamment flooring. To take full advantage of the distant views and private nature reserve, the open-plan living area with balcony is on the first floor with the two bedrooms (double and twin) and bathroom on the ground floor. The cottage's interior has colourful furniture and furnishings creating a contemporary, bright and fresh Scandi-style, which complements the building's character and brings it to life. The garden is a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxing afternoon and the first floor balcony is just perfect for watching the sun go down with a glass of wine. Mill End is a gem of a holiday property, and will suit all kinds of holidaymakers who enjoy beautiful, tranquil surroundings and looking for easy access to the coast and good local facilities. If you like walking, the coastal path takes you in an easterly direction to the coastal towns of Sheringham, and Cromer beyond - don't worry you can always catch the Coasthopper back! Just three miles inland, is the pretty Georgian town of Holt, a popular destination with a good selection of independent boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Mill End. Because the mill stream runs through the garden at speed, small children (and dogs) must be supervised at all times. Additional Information Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Individually controlled programmable modern electric panel heaters in all rooms. Access Note: The living area is on the first floor. There are external steps around the property. Ground Floor: Entrance Hall With Norfolk pamment flooring and vaulted ceiling. • A great little place, I work in Sheringham and needed to work there late and arrive really early in the morning so to cut the hour drive home and back to work I decided to stay at an Airbnb. I was pleasantly surprised by how great and homely this place was, the shower was amazing and the hosts were lovely enough to provide tea and coffee which was an added bonus. Will definitely be my first place to book at in Sheringham from now on.

Our 15th C family home, sits in an acre of garden in the village of Plumstead. There is a luxury double bedroom with an additional bedroom. Relax and enjoy home cooked delights in the breakfast room before exploring the wonders Norfolk offers.
Church Farmhouse still has traces of its 15th Century origins. A large family home in brick and flint, it has countless features giving glimpses of the changes it has undergone throughout the ages. It sits in an acre of garden where old apple and plum (not forgetting the large white mulberry) trees stand beside borders full of colour and interest Through the gate there is a large striped lawn with a burgeoning veggy patch on one side, while chickens scratch way and lay their delicious eggs, on the other. Beyond, there is a grass tennis court and sweeping views of the countryside and our medieval church.
Plumstead is a remarkably peaceful village surrounded by farmland. It is just five miles from the striking Georgian town of Holt with its array of unique privately owned shops and restaurants. It also boasts a highly regarded Summer Festival at the end of July. North Norfolk is famous for its coastline with its fabled marshes that stretch from east to west. It is world renowned for birdlife with Cley just 20 minutes away. Beaches range from the traditional at Sheringham to the breathtaking expanses of sand and dunes at Wells and Holkham. For the more restless there is superb sea sailing at Blakeney and Morston or you may simply wish to take a trip to see the seals from either of these small harbours. We are lucky enough to have no less than four outstanding National Trust "properties" Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Sheringham Park (the rhododendrons and azaleas are exquisite) and finally Blakeney Point. For those who like to strike the little white ball you will be spoilt for choice for golf links, Sheringham being the pick. However, even the most seasoned campaigner, as the six foot putt is lined up for a half, may be startled by the sound of steam and the smell of smoke and ashes as a locomotive climbs the gradient on the North Norfolk Railway from Sheringham to Holt, offering spectacular views of the coast. Nonetheless we urge you to resist these delights for part of your stay, leave the car and explore the enchanting paths that take you through wildflowers and woodland that radiate out of our village. If you are a stargazer you will be in for a treat as the night sky is strikingly free of manmade light. If you would like to venture a little further afield we can lend you bikes so that you can meander down sleepy lanes and seek out our remarkable heritage of medieval churches.
  • Great hosts and lovely attention to detail in the accommodation, we would definitely return.

  • We just had a wonderful two nights stay at Mary and Johns beautiful home. We felt incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived and the hospitality was outstanding throughout. The rooms are beautifully decorated and cosy, with very comfy beds and soft linen. Tucked away up a secret staircase, it felt like we had the entire place to ourself. The homemade breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had and it was perfect for our 19 month old son with lots of toys and all the necessary amenities he required left out for him. We look forward to coming back - Thank you Mary & John!

  • Just had the most fantastic stay at John and Mary’s beautiful home. They were incredibly hospitable, the beds were huge and comfortable, everywhere was spotlessly clean, lots of little touches like small vases of fresh flowers everywhere and their own soaps, shampoo and conditioner provided, the cooked breakfast was delicious as well as all the cereals and fruit, yoghurt, the hugest selection of wonderful teas, and they welcomed our dear dog like their own. It was great to have a whole wing to ourselves including our own little kitchen. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. Thanks again!

Beautiful one bedroomed, first floor apartment located close to the sea. Spacious, modern apartment with open plan kitchen/lounge diner and a large bedroom with king size bed. Town centre location facing the church, only 2 minutes from the beach and pier. Free WiFi. Non smoking and no pets allowed. Bed linen and towels included in rental cost. There is no parking included but plenty of free street or pay and display parking within easy walking distance.
There is a sofa bed in the lounge which could accommodate 2 children. There is plenty of space in the bedroom which can accommodate a cot (not provided).

  • Spaceous, airy apartment in a great central location. Everything you need to eat in and close to restaurants and pubs if you would rather dine out.

    Iona2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This flat is situated right in the heart of cromer, literally a minute from the sea. The flat itself is bright, spacious and airy, decorated in a modern style and well equipped. (The shower was one of the best we have encountered on our trips!! ) We didn’t have a car with us and it was only a short walk to the station. I cant comment on the ease of parking because we didn’t need it. You couldn’t do much better for easy access to beach and cromer attractions and the late night co- op just downstairs was v useful! We were out of season so it was relatively quiet about town and some shops especially had moved to shorter opening hours but not a problem for us. I suspect it is a lot busier in the summer months. The beautiful beaches make for an easy walk (especially at low tide) to either Sheringham or Overstrand or you can take the coastal paths for a more rigorous one. Plenty of walks in the area so take your good shoes and get out. No shortage of cafes either for tea and cake!

    Cindy2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful and very spacious flat with open plan living accommodation. It is also extremely well situated for the town amenities and sea front.

    Tim2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, right in the centre of Cromer with great access to surrounding locations. Will be booking again.

    Natasha2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay. Right in the heart of Cromer opposite the parish church, the flat has a light airy feel due to the large windows and the fact that it looks out onto a large square around the church (no bells chiming through the night!). You can just see the sea in two directions (only two minutes walk away), and all shops and coffee shops are on your doorstep. It was surprisingly quiet at night, with the occasional car roaring down the high street or group of people chatting outside - so if you are a light sleeper worth bringing your ear plugs. The flat is very comfortable, very spacious and has all the equipment you need to make it a great base for your holiday. The hosts' communication was excellent, and little things, like the supply of tea and coffee, made one feel welcome. We'd highly recommend it as a base for exploring the beautiful north Norfolk coast.

  • Large, bright and spotless accommodation in a perfect location in the middle of Cromer. Very well equipped - couldn't have asked for more.

  • This is a lovely spacious flat, great central location in Cromer, with fascinating views from the window, if you like people watching... and the many cute dogs... you will leave wanting to get a dog, if you haven't already got one!

  • This is a very spacious one-bedroomed flat with high ceilings, and a modern feel. The location is fantastic, as it is right in the centre of town, not far from the front, and next-door to a supermarket. The bed is very comfortable, the flat is clean and welcoming. The workspace, eating area and relaxation areas are excellent. The kitchen is well-equipped. All in all, a very high quality place to stay.
