El Tránsito Apartments

We had a great time at the Gran Pacifica. Patrick was prompt and very helpful with instructions upon our arrival. We arrived late at night but he made sure we were greeted by the guard and the check-in went great with a full tour of the condo which was wonderful. The property, ocean views and staff were all spectacular!

Wow! What a spot. The apartment in Gran Pacifica is large sunny, with an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean, and the resort pool. The apartment has all the modern conveniences that one could ask for and an amazing location. Our stay was excellent, I would highly recommend it for anyone.

We were warmly welcomed by the Gran Pacifica staff. Can't say enough about Angela...she was wonderful. The Gran Pacifica is a very nice place, and the condos are modern and nicely furnished. The grounds are well maintained and the pool wonderful. It has a surf shop and a small store for essentials, and the Sea Salt restaurant is quite nice. It is quite remote, and the last few miles getting to the location are unpaved and quite rough. Make sure your taxi or shuttle has air condition or you will have a very warm and dusty ride. We did not have the pleasure of meeting Patrick, but he was very responsive during our reservation process.

Our stay at Patrick's condo in Nicaragua was awesome! Patrick was very responsive and super helpful when making our travel plans. The condo was beautiful, clean, and overlooked the morning surf - it was perfect! The Gran Pacifica Resort staff also helped make our stay so memorable - they were sweet, informative, and very accommodating. I definitely recommend and would love to go back!

Absolutely amazing surf location. Aschunchillo (a nice beach break with plenty of empty peaks) is a 10 minute drive away. There is also a point break near the hotel that had some pretty heavy barrels if you're advanced. Staff and accommodations were great too. The staff were willing to add a twin bed to our room so my friend and I wouldn't have to share the king. The room was nice and had easily the best air conditioning I experienced in Nicaragua (tied with the Hilton in Managua!). Two pieces of advice: 1) Buy groceries before arrival. You'll have a fridge to hold them and a kitchen to cook them, and it's a long drive to the nearest grocery store. 2) There are mosquitoes at night. Bring insect repellant.

It was a big spacious apartment 1 min from the beach with a swimmingpool that i really enjoyed both night and day. Mercedes was very friendly and helpful and i really enjoyed a peaceful and relaxed vacation in her little paradise. At same time i had my privacy and a big terrace.

Ms. Lucero is a very nice person, she showed me the site, explain the rules y give some good advise about the neighborhood. The site match what is showed in airbnb!

Finding the location was a bit of a challenge but once I arrived Lucero was there and greeted me and showed me the facilities and the rules and procedures for her property. The property listing was as described. However, after staying here I wish the bed was bigger and newer as it is a single bed and not very comfortable. Additionally, it is very humid in Nicaragua and none of the windows have screens on them so if you open them up to ventilate the house, you will be letting all the mosquitoes, flies, and insects in to the house. Overall I had a pleasant stay and told Lucero these suggestions personally so the next occupant will probably have less hardships. One good thing about the location is it is more rural so you will have less noise and more nature.

Dear All, It was a great experience staying at Eva's house. I stayed at their home for 45 days, and I had no issues at all. It is well located and this is another plus. Anyways, it was more than just renting a room but being both welcomed and comfortable. Evan and Hans were very helpful, and they went out of their way to assist me whenever I needed it. They are very cultured oriented couple with great manners and with great conversation subjects. The place was very safe and you should no worried about anything. I am going to keep their friendships, and I am planning to go back to visit them in a few months. Great place to stay!

Marc was very helpful anytime we needed help. He offered us to use his kitchen. The Pool and the terrace at the pool is great. This was the best we got in Managua for the price, and we have stayed in several places ofer half a year! Thank you Marc!

It was an excellent choice to stay home Marc Andre during my stay in Managua. From the first day made me feel at home, he and his daughter Olivia are beautiful people and very friendly. Marc André introduced me to his friends and even took me to see the Masaya Volcano and Granada with them, a nice experience! The fourth offering Airbnb is completely independent and has everything you need for your stay. Super recommended!

What a wonderful house and a beatiful Garden with Pool, we will stay again because we really liked it

A small haven of peace in Managua We really enjoyed staying with Marc André. The residence is a little away from the center of Managua, and is located on a hill, which allows to enjoy a small breeze and an great view on the city and the lake, while being 5 minutes to restaurants and department store where you can find everything you need. The house is ideally located on the "Carretera Sur", right at the exit of Managua, which allows to quickly reach the main attractions of the country (Masaya, Leon, Granada, San Juan del Sur or Ometepe), even for a one day excursion. The room is spacious and comfortable, independent from the rest of the house, with a private bathroom, and a small kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink). Marc André is a lovely host, who has been living in Nicaragua for several years and is not sparing of good advices to visit the country. He will even let you enjoy his beautiful pool with view :-) A perfect and central place, whether to visit Nicaragua, or to stay a few days in Managua, in a quiet, green and well secured environment (guarded 24/24).

Loved staying at Marcandre's home. It was comfortable, clean, and he was a great host. He encouraged me to take advantage of the entire property including the pool, and was warm and courteous. He also provided me some good recommendations for food. The only downsides were that it was a little difficult to locate without specific instructions, and that it is a bit remote. But overall, I had a great stay!

My friend and me enjoyed one night at Camillas beautiful place in the green suburbs of Managua. Camilla is an open-minded and friendly person. She speaks multiple languages to never have a communication problem ever and served us fruits in the morning to fit our needs for our vegan diet. We had an amazing time at her place and admire how she made us feel at home. There's only good things points to say. Communication, comfort and carefulness about the wellbeing of her guests. Respect and recommendation for Camilla Quintana.

I live in Nicaragua and was taking someone to the airport late night, had some things to do the next day so I looked for a place to spend the night. I found Habitacion Borboleta and chose it for its convenience, it is really easy to find. Camila was very easy to work with, we arranged for me to pick up the keys on the way into town....I don't want to slam her but here are the pros and cons: Pros: Easy to work with She speaks English Easy to find the house behind a gate so it is secured Bed was nice and comfortable They have dogs to alert them Cons: Rented a place that had no running water.... Roosters will wake you up in the morning Room was a little dirty (no big deal) Pillows and sheets are of cheap quality Did I tell you NO RUNNING WATER... how can you rent a place with no RUNNING WATER.... Very nice family, just need to work out the issues and for the price it will be worth it in the future if they fix a few of the issues....

Eva was very kind, very friendly She have A very beautiful house and very friendly pet She guided to get her house.

We did pass one night at Eva but the place is very nice and separate from the house, which allows for a quiet intimacy. Eva is very nice and helpful. I recommend !

Highly recommended! The host and the location were the best! This is a great place to stay if you want to be in a quiet beautiful tranquil residential place very near Managua. We chose this place because of its location, near the main roads that takes your everywhere to Managua but still having the silence and the trees and the green view (in the city but doesnt feel like it). Also Eva was an incredible host, very warm and always there for us if we needed her. The breakfast was awesome and the house is very pretty. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, private, clean and had everything we needed. Thanks Eva for a great stay!

Eva's place is on the outskirts of Managua, very close to Carretera Sur, where the elevation is a bit higher, so it's not as hot (so no AC is needed). The house is beautiful, and the apartment is simple, but Eva has made a real effort to make it comfortable. They have a pool, but we didn't use it because the weather did not cooperate. The whole family is very friendly; perfect Airbnb hosts. It has been a great stay for us. One note is that the shower did not have hot water, which is more typical in the heat of Managua.

This location is in a beautiful and elegant villa, located in a very good neighborhood (El Rosal - Mount Tabor). You will be a good 30 minutes from the center of Managua (Plaza Inter.). A taxi will cost you around 200 Cordobas (about $7) but a bus will cost you 30 cents!!! (and take 40-45 minutes to be close to the same plaza inter). This villa is on a small path (very quiet) that connect in 3 minutes walk to the highway. Therefore the place is very quiet...only the sounds of nature are there. Of course if a neighbor has a party it will be different, but it is the same situation anywhere in Managua. It is also very safe, there are gardeners, guards, and maids on the property beside the presence of the owners (a very nice German family). 2 gates prevent the access to pool, garden and your apartment. You will be enjoying a beautiful garden, and wonderful views (you are on a hill) as well a private pool and some hammock. The apartment is composed of a living room and a bedroom. It is simple and rustically decorated. The bed was very comfortable, the place was clean, there was plenty of storage. I loved the candles (power outage are common in Managua!). There is a table outside on the terrace if you want to work. The internet worked very well. The living room has a TV, a coffee maker (nice to warm some water), 2 cups. But there is no kitchen in the room. I have heard you can use some cooking facilities as well as a washer....but i did not need to use them. An expensive (for Nicaragua) restaurant is 10 minutes walking distance but the quality is low ("Casserole"), you may be better off with the mini super next door. Ask for the direction well in advance to avoid surprises and be sure you have internet or minutes on your phone to get help if necessary. But it is not difficult to find. The German children of the owners guided me and received me wonderfully. I loved the comfortable and peaceful nights there, the 24/h use of the private pool, to be surrounded by nature, the safety, the hospitality of my multilingual German Hosts... Highly Recommended, if you do no not mind to be a little bit outside of the center of Managua
