If there is something you need that is missing, just ask and we may have it. • The jewel of our studio is the cozy sleeping loft that overlooks the main living area. • Great.

  • Comfy bed, great stylish space.

    David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • By far the cleanest and highest quality finish air bnb we’ve ever stayed in. This space provided the best base during our hiking trip and is a short walking distance into eureka town centre and a charming pizza place around the corner ‘brick&stone’ that had incredible food and wine choices for a special date night! Elizabeth & Matt were so friendly and quick to respond to any questions/suggestions you may have during your stay. The space was so well equipped with everything you need in a small house and quickly became very homely for us. We wish all air bnb could live up to this high standard stay! Thanks so much for having us!

    Brianna2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved the space, it was very clean, stylish, comfortable, a very well thought out place and the small touches were welcomed. The bed linens were outstanding and the bed very comfortable. We hope to be able to stay here again.

  • Absolutely wonderful stay and an amazing price for the level of convenience & cleanliness! Very comfortable and spotless, definitely would stay again, and we suggest this to those thinking of visiting Eureka- I guarantee there isn’t a better spot.

    Alawnah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Matt and Elizabeth’s place always exactly what we needed at a halfway point between Fort Bragg, CA & Coos Bay, OR. We enjoyed walking around old town Eureka admiring the old Victorian Homes and hiking along the local redwood trails in Arcata. This loft was the perfect little hideaway with just the right amount of amenities including laundry pods so we could wash our clothes half way through this trip. (So great!) Everything you need for cooking is supplied though I do recommend bringing some additional flavours/sauces/spices if you want something other than olive oil, salt and pepper. There are lots of grocery stores near by so you can pick up anything you need locally. I highly recommend Matt and Elizabeth’s place and would definitely stay here again.

It’s an easy 15 minute drive up the 101 to HSU, and not too far from beautiful beaches, and the majestic redwoods. Perfect for couples, small families, and business travelers.

  • We had a great stay at Leah and Casey’s place. The space is really well designed and everything was super clean! We appreciated the memory foam mattress after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was also coffee, tea, and snacks. We would recommend their place to anyone!

    Farzad2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful space, actually wish we spent more time in it during our stay. Our favorite thing was the kitchen (gas stove!) and all the amenities provided- coffee, tea, some cold beers in the fridge upon arrival. Super awesome and would definitely stay here again. Great job on this cozy studio!

    Elyse2020-02-27T00:00:00Z

    John2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful space and thoughtful host! I’d recommend it to anyone coming through the area. I’m hoping to find myself back this way, just for the lovely accommodations alone.

    Douglas2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • When you stay here you can expect an excellently clean and beautiful place to stay put together stylishly and filled with great amenities. We had so much fun playing with the provided board games and stayed so cozy while doing so. We were able to cook and hangout peacefully any time during our stay and it made it so nice to come back to after a long day out after seeing the sites! 10/10 would recommend.

Bright and cozy 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment located in one of Eureka’s premier neighborhoods. Just a minute or two drive to shops, restaurants, and/or hospital depending on the purpose of your stay.
Our guest suite is located in a very quiet, well-maintained neighborhood. We provide our guests with their own parking space just a couple steps away from their own private entrance. It has several amenities to add to the comfort of your stay. There is a living area with a large flat screen tv and sectional sofa. It has a kitchen complete with apartment sized fridge, convection oven, microwave, dual hot plate, electric grill, cookware, dining table, and place settings for four. We believe that privacy is important, so there aren’t any shared spaces.

Colorful corner is a private room tucked away in the back of my house in a quiet area of Eureka . The room has a private entrance off the backyard, with an attached full bath. Since I work full time, I offer keyless entry for ease of convenience. Guests can enjoy the attached deck off the room and relax in a colorful, relaxing yard. The room is a burst of color to contrast with the gray days in Humboldt. The room is a 15 minute walk to the zoo, hiking trails, hospitals, shopping and restaurants.
The guest room, although small, is perfect for one person and cozy for two. Life is too short for white walls! I wanted my space to be unique, fun, and express my personality. I hope it makes you smile! I provide coffee, tea, hot cocoa, bottled water, granola bars and fresh fruit to get your day started. I also provide shampoo and body wash in the walk in shower, and other travel essentials that you may have forgotten.
My home is in a quiet, established and desirable area of east Eureka. I can guarantee you'll have a quiet and restful stay. The majority of restaurants in old town are a quick five minute drive. There are also several restaurants within a 15 minute walk from my house. If you're looking to be in the middle of night life and eateries, my home wouldn't be the best option. The trade off for a restful sleep and quiet neighborhood will definitely differ with the noise and traffic of a downtown room.
  • Absolutely outstanding hospitality and compassion. I would highly recommend staying here.

    Sloane2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and stylish. Pat is really nice and made sure we had all we need! She also gave us places to go for dinner/breakfast! I definitely recommend

    Marion2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Pat’s listing was the perfect locale for a trip to the Redwoods National Forest. The listing is adorably decorated and Pat was so accommodating and welcoming. Will definitely be staying here again when coming through Eureka! You can’t beat the price!

    Logan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay! The place was cozy and little snacks and water bottle were convenient. Pat was really kind and responsive.

    Jeeyun2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Pat is a splendid host! Absolutely marvellous! Not only is she efficient and prompt with her communication, but also she is really friendly and outgoing with regards to meeting personally. The location is relatively easy to get to in town. Pat has decorated the room imaginatively in a "beach house" motif, with those kind of pastel colors; very cute and imaginative. There are plenty of amenities available . . . and Pat has also supplied many current brochures and magazines that guides, etc. The bed is comfortable. There is a private entrance in the back of the house; no need to receive & return a key because electronic key code-lock is in the door. The bathroom, with a shower stall, is private to the room. The room also has a TV, microwave, and a small refrigerator. And . . . for those cold times, a small electric heater is provided! I think that anyone that stayed here would be the thrilled.

    Ray2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Pat was amazing. We loved everything about her and her place. Would definitely go back any chance we get. Thank you again Pat.

    Katayoun2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

  • The cottage is a very clean, lovely and cozy. The communication with Jana and her flexibility were very satisfactory. Outside is plenty of parking. The amenities that Jana provided like tea, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, coffee make feel as a guest very welcome. The whole experience was very pleasant and definately will be the first option in the future.

    Chic2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • From the beautiful colourful garden to the original art, Jana's home was beautiful and welcoming. It was filled with homey touches from the decor, the little notes, pictures and postcards from family, and the thoughtful organic breakfast left for us! We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this listing to any and all who pass through Eureka!!

    Emily2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jana’s home is cozy, inviting, and filled with beautiful art. She communicates quickly and goes the extra mile to make sure her guests feel welcomed. The breakfast items are very much appreciated and provide a good start to a day of adventure.

    Gloria2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jana provides a beautiful, warm, lovely abode that is very much a sanctuary. From the flowers everywhere to the yummy granola and other breakfast offerings, not to mention all her wonderful art, Jana's home was an inviting place to return to after my day's activities. We got to chat for a bit, and she is a lovely, engaging person.

Plenty of privacy in this studio room with private entry, "3/4" bathroom (shower - no tub) and "kitchenette" with sink, filtered drinking water, mini coffee maker, toaster oven, & mini fridge. In scenic Old Town near boutiques, restaurants, and bars. Please *read house rules* prior to booking - Old Town is the urban "downtown" of this county and some nights there is noise. This studio is a GREAT deal compared to even the cheapest motels on the noisy highway, but noise is a possibility here, too.
The studio is a cozy, simple little place -- nothing fancy -- just an inexpensive, private place to stay that is conveniently located to the local attractions. Like most houses in Eureka this place was built over 100 years ago, it is not renovated or gentrified, and it has its quirks if you're not accustomed to older homes.
The studio is located in walking distance to historic Old Town Eureka and its coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, the Eureka Tourism Center, and famous Victorian architecture like the Carson Mansion and the Pink Lady mansion. It is also walking distance to the waterfront walking path, the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center and the Adorni Center for public recreation.
  • Wonderful place to stay!

    Mina2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Place is great

    Fernando2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Basic amenities provided, walkable distance to downtown Eureka shops and restaurants. No problem parking on street right in front of guest room door.

    Dana2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend staying here every thing is great. I enjoyed every minute of it.

    Shaunah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was very accommodating with my schedule. The studio was very clean and comfortable in the perfect downtown location. Next time I am in Eureka I'm hoping to stay here again.

    Francis2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Overall my stay here was great! The space was cute and comfortable. As mentioned in previous comments the homeless crowd does hang around across the street but they mind their business and I had no issues at all! I will stay here again!!!!

    Dominique Michelle2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine’s place was quiet, small, and cute— everything we were expecting. Although, the heater made loud banging sounds so it made it a bit difficult to sleep and the location wasn’t the nicest. There’s a public library right across the street from our stay and there was a lot of people loitering there. Besides that, it was fine all around! :)

    Asia2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a great value. Simple check-in and cute spot! I love the old school heater. So nice and toasty :) Easily walkable to shops, bars, and food. This is not a complaint at all, but to affirm what was said in the description...there is some noise. It didn’t make it hard to fall asleep and it didn’t cause me to wake up through the night or anything, but there is a good amount of foot traffic and you can hear the conversations people are having as they walk by. Again no problem for me! But for people who want absolute silence and to not hear foot traffic this might not be the spot for you. Everyone else I would definitely recommend staying here.

Ahoy, the Obsession is a unique onboard private stay for up to 2 adults typically, sorry no children under 10 please. She has a clean, cozy feel, galley, fridge, cold water, and a head. Marina services (2 minute walk) include a restaurant bar, showers/laundry, bathrooms and free parking. One hour in Bay sails available also for only 50$ more! There are two sleeping areas so a second bed/berth is possible and there is an additional 10$/visit charge for the second berth linens.
It's a Catalina 38 sloop, designed for the congressional cup race circuit with a nice comfortable interior. The cushions and upholstery are made of the best materials. The galley was updated in 2013. There is a cozy V berth upfront (bow) and pilot berth in the back (stern) for sleeping. You can lounge, play games, or surf the net in the main salon around the handcrafted table. If it's sunny (or at least not raining) the cockpit is nice to place to relax and get some fresh air. There is also a small table at the helm for cocktails. The head is nothing fancy, simple pump flush for # 1 use only please, #2 must be done at the bathroom(s) onshore. They are nearby 24 hr. locked (after hours) restrooms less than 1 minute walk from the boat for other needs. There are additional public restrooms located in the restaurant area and another restroom and shower area accessible 24/7 with keys we will provide. The showers/laundry and the restaurant are a 2-3 minute walk down the boardwalk just 3 docks away, to D dock. The restaurant and bar are not fancy or expensive, just nice. The Marina is a popular place for locals to get breakfast on the weekend. The bar is usually open till 9 pm and if busy, stays open longer on weekends. Please visit our website by searching Sail Humboldt or First Class Sailing Humboldt for more pictures and details about our boat. Remember it's a boat, think camping on the water, but with nice mahogany interior and dry cushions. There are plenty of cozy blankets for your use as well as a heater if you feel at all chilly. The marina has a 24 hour surveillance system as well as a guard for your peace of mind.
Woodley Island Marina is the biggest Marina North of S.F. and South of Portland. It's a working marina with a lot of fishing vessels coming and going during the season. Just across the Channel (100 yards) is the Eureka Waterfront with a nice boardwalk with plenty of good eating and shopping. It's only minutes to some pristine beach and forest areas, natural food stores and award winning breweries. There's almost always something exciting happening in Humboldt!, Staying on a boat is one of our favorite vacations. If you're interested, we offer fishing trips, short or longer day sailing either in bay or out on the ocean as well as extended sailing trips to various locations. Please inquire about pricing as some things offered are discounted for our B&B customers.
  • Kim and Capt. Doby went above and beyond! We absolutely loved staying on a boat! Kim gave us several restaurant suggestions and made sure we felt comfortable and at home!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Spending a night on the sail boat was so much fun. It is a sail boat so we have to be mobile and able to step from dock unto boat. for my husband and myself it wasn't a problem. Kim met us at the boat. It was a pleasure meeting her. Great communication with both Kim and Captain Doby before check-in

    Maggie2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely a unique stay not far from things to do. If you're looking for something not hotel but not camping, this is the place to be. It's a safe, quiet marina to let you relax for the night away from the noise.

  • Such a unique experience! The sailboat is located at Woodley Island just off Hwy 255 west of Eureka. Parking is right by the docks. The boat has a comfy triangular bed. There’s a little galley space with fridge, sink, and hot water pot. The restroom has a sink and toilet for #1 - #2 and shower is accessible nearby on land. The space heater and extra blankets kept us warm enough as we came in mid-January. Good communication with Capt Doby and he met us upon arrival to provide an overview of the boat functions. Very cool experience overall.

  • Great hosts & a cozy boat.

  • If you are looking for an extremely clean, quiet place to stay at a very affordable price I would strongly recommend Shullie's. Kitchen was great and even stocked with essentials including organic half&half for my morning coffee. Only thing that would have made it better for me would be a shower, bath tub is tiny. But overall I was very pleased.

  • We loved our stay! Perfect weekend getaway

    Benji2020-01-22T00:00:00Z

  • Shullie's place is clean, comfortable and quiet. We loved the sleep number bed and the sit-in tub was a luxury. The garden is really nice -- even in the winter. Would definitely stay here again.

  • The Gecko House is amazing. The location is very easy to get to and the place itself is huge forethe price. The full kitchen made it easy to cook meals and the bed comfy. I could not have asked for more out of an airbnb. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SPOT.

    Luis2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Gecko house is a private and quiet abode within a neighbored. It’s located away from the road and surrounded by tall fences draped in blooming plants. It was very clean and stocked with perfect extra amenities. I would definitely stay there again.

You can access the waterfront and downtown/"Old Town", area via a 5-10 minute walk, or you can drive there in 2-3 minutes. • This tiny studio is highly functionalable and perfect for a short stay. The outside sitting area is very cozy and provides a more open space. Thoroughly disappointed I didn't get to play with the doggos though.

    Joseph2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for my wife and I, we stayed over Christmas and had a great time. It was clean and cozy. The only suggestion I’d make is if you are staying here in the winter, ask the host to turn the heater on before you arrive, it was quite cold inside for about an hour before it warmed up from the portable heater. Other than that, everything was perfect!

    Caleb2019-12-26T00:00:00Z

The MiL is located just a short (10-15 mins) walk to Old Town Eureka. We are also about a 20 minute walk to Henderson Center. We are a few blocks away from Brick and Fire, a lovely restaurant. We also have our own walking distance dive bar!
The apartment is located on top of our garage. It is situated behind a gated area. You will share the gated area with the occupants (us). We are currently working on landscaping our yard. Sorry if we kick up any dust or if things aren’t looking so nice in the yard. Feel free to use the yard and the herbs in the raised bed! Due to past guests not following pet rules, I will now post the rules clearly in this section. I would hope future guests can follow these VERY simple rules. 1. Please inform me if you are bringing a dog. We LOVE dogs and want to make sure they meet our dogs to avoid any issues. 2. Please, please, please, I beg of you all, DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PET(S) ON THE FURNITURE. This is a shared space at the end of the day. We want pet lovers and non-pet lovers to enjoy the space. I really do not want to ban dogs, but again due to folks not following the rules, I am on the brinks of asking people not to bring their pets. Please respect these rules for us and for future guests.
10-15 min walk to Old Town Eureka. There’s a restaurant, Brick and Fire, that is about a 5 min walk from the apt.
  • A charming and comfortable apartment with all the touches for a perfect stay!

  • Shin and Tony were amazing hosts for their wonderful spot in Eureka. The place is pretty centrally located in town, and perfect for a trip to Humboldt county to see the redwoods and beaches, hike, bike, or just hang around town. The place was super clean with a lot of charm and all the amenities we needed for our stay of 4 days. If I could rate our hosts higher than I was allowed to, I would. I can't wait to go back.

  • We stayed at Linden and Abbygail’s place over the holidays and for a trip through Redwoods Parks. Their spot right downtown was the perfect place. It had all the necessary city amenities, but made our trips out to the parks really easy. The local tips and fresh baked bread at their place were added bonuses! Would recommend this place to anyone coming to the area.

  • Such a lovely apartment very close to the fantastic shopping, dining, and waterfront in Old Town, Eureka. Even though I was checking in late after getting to town Linden was there to let me in and show me around the house...which smelled AMAZING thanks to the freshly baked bread that was waiting in the kitchen! Appreciate the little details and excellent communication!

  • This is a very clean large one bedroom unit with a nice well appointed decor... very good value for the buck. Very comfortable bed, slept quite well. Had my concerns after reading a review of a similar sized guy ... no clue what he was thinking. Kitchen is stocked with butter, jam, OJ and filtered water, fresh baked bread, coffee and tea. We did keep the some of the windows open all the time... kitchen, living room, bathroom. I run hot so I like a cool place but this is really a personal preference. Highway noise was not an issue for us but we are from the Bay Area. The unit is well located and walkable to old town. Linden gave us good tips for non-waterred down happy hour cheap drink places...all walkable!! Definitely will stay here again!

    David2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Both Linden and Abbygail were gracious hosts. Linden checked in on us to make sure everything was going well with our stay and had fresh orange juice ready for us upon our arrival. Very well done and comfortable place to stay for your traveling needs. Thanks again for the great stay!

  • William's place was an excellent stop during our road trip up the West Coast. It was incredibly dog-friendly, especially with the private fenced-in yard access. The guesthouse itself was clean and cozy, and we really appreciated the Keurig coffeemaker to give us a much-needed caffeine boost before hitting the road. William was quick to respond to our questions and was a great host overall.

    Jenna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • William's place was perfect for our recent visit to Eureka. It was clean and tidy with some nice little touches like coffee and creamer in the kitchen, and a dispenser in the shower with shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Our little dog felt at home and the side yard was a bonus for him to run around in. The neighborhood was centrally located, safe, and check-in was easy. We'll definitely stay here again.

  • This was a lovely place- just right for 2. We chose the location because it’s near an old home of ours. While there isn’t a grand amount of curb appeal, the interior is warm and simple. We didn’t use the fenced yard during our stay, but it was a nice addition. For someone not acclimated to the North Coast weather, it was a big plus that the home heated quickly with the wall heater and ceiling fans. He was exceptionally quick to respond and we appreciated his knowledge of the area.

    Trina2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend in Eureka. This spot was super easy to check in (self entry) and had a great fenced in side yard for our pup who we brought. The house itself was cute, tidy and comfortable for my husband and I! William also was a great communicator for some things going on in the area, and easy to get in touch with if needed. It was in pretty close proximity to most of the things we did in Eureka, and we were able to walk the majority of the time. I also appreciated the coffee and it was nice to have Netflix and hbo available at night time to relax :) thank you for having us!

  • We stayed here for a month while looking for a house when we moved to the area and we couldn't have asked for better! We were able to have our cats with us and the accommodations are beautiful. The hosts have wonderful local suggestions and are happy to help with any needs. Yes, there is a local homeless population and they can get a bit noisy at times, but they keep to themselves and the area is safe. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family and will probably have my parents stay there when they visit.

  • Very nice and cozy place in a convenient location in Eureka. Warm with a gas stove in the living room, and a couple of cute bedrooms. Has all the basics covered well, and the place saved our skins after we got rained out from a camping trip on the northern CA coast. Sunny, clean, one bedroom, one bathroom apartment in Henderson Center area. Apartment is in my 1920, craftsman house, but is private with its own entrance. Comfortable queen sized bed. Full kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, utensils, and cookware. I can provide a sleeping mat to accommodate one more person or a child. My house is centrally located in a neighborhood with many period houses - Victorian through Craftsman era. Visit the redwoods, the ocean, Humboldt Bay. It's a great place to stay if you are passing through for a night, on a business trip, or staying for a week to explore the north coast. I grew up in the area and will gladly recommend places to visit and restaurants, or just answer questions you may have about the local area. One cat and one dog live in the house, but do not go in the apartment. You may hear them scampering around or see them in the yard though. And whether you end up staying here or not, I'm happy to give recommendations and I hope you have a great time visiting this most beautiful area. Julie
  • My partner and I loved the privacy and location. We hope to stay with Julie at her home again soon!

Enjoy historic Eureka from a private apartment in a lovingly restored Victorian home. The top floor apartment includes a kitchen, bedroom, sitting room & full bath. Enjoy a soak in the claw foot tub or watch the sunset over the Humboldt Bay from the deck... A brand-new pillow top mattress, fluffy white towels, organic local coffee & sharp cooking knives are just a few of the pleasant surprises you'll find at Lula's House. Also, a beautiful fenced backyard and fire pit are for guests to enjoy!
The entire top floor of a Victorian home built in 1900 is your private getaway in Eureka! The apartment includes a bedroom with a new pillow-top queen mattress and built-in redwood drawers, a reading nook with a chaise lounge, a well-stocked kitchen with full-size fridge & stove, and a bathroom with a clawfoot tub overlooking the backyard. Only 12 blocks away from the heart of Old Town Eureka, the apartment is accessible via a private entrance from the side yard. Guests can also enjoy the shared back yard - sip morning coffee on a redwood bench or cozy up around the fire pit at night! Lula's House is peaceful and convenient abode for those exploring the redwoods or temporarily working in Humboldt County. ** Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a $20 pet fee (processed on booking).
Historic Eureka is filled with beautiful old Victorians - some are "pretty ladies," while others have fallen on hard times. If you're going for a walk, head north from Lula's House. The neighborhoods around "D" and "G" streets are lined with stunning historic homes. South and west of Lula's House are unfortunately neighborhoods in rougher condition - not ideal for dog walks. Lula's House is located on a very quiet street with great neighbors who help keep an eye out. In 5 years of operating my Airbnb, a guest has never had a security issue, But I always recommend using big city common sense in Eureka (don't leave valuables in cars, lock doors, close windows, etc.) For shopping and dining, Old Town Eureka is 20-25 walk or 5 minute drive. It's filled with funky thrift stores, historic architecture, murals and charming restaurants. Feel free to ask for recommendations! Lula's House "Best of Humboldt" suggestions are printed on the fridge and in my Airbnb guidebook. Costco and Eureka Natural Foods are a 1/2 mile away and accessible by car, foot or bike - less than a minute's drive away!
  • The upper flat of Lula's House was cozy, convenient, adorable, and with thoughtful touches that made this a lovely stay. I came to Eureka for a 2-day research trip and this was the perfect place to call home for those two days. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed, and the bonus was those delightfully fragrant bath salts to soak in the clawfoot tub, which you better believe I indulged in after a day hunched over a photocopier. On my way out, I made sure to pay my respects to Lula by the apple tree. Thanks Nora for the hospitality!

    Kirsten2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for a great stay in Humboldt county. Parking is extremely ample and safe in this neighborhood. There are a ton of great grocery stores nearby & Nora does a great job of providing kitchen necessities. 10/10 would stay here any time I’m in Eureka!

    Luis2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nora’s space was just as listed. The bed was very comfortable and the claw foot tub was great. Communication was almost immediate, which was extremely helpful given the same-day booking. Thanks so much!

  • Lula's house is great! Adorable loft with all of the essentials. Easy drive to restaurants, bars and the water. Nice little yard for the dogs to play in.

Our comfortable and cozy cottage overlooks a garden space, patio and landscaped backyard. The cottage is a detached mother-in-law unit, with its own private entry way and gate. It has a tiny house feel to it, while being fully furnished with a full kitchen, bathroom and even laundry facilities. This comfortable home has everything you could need for your home away from home. It is a perfect space for a romantic couple, a small family, friends on a road trip, and everyone in between!
With a full kitchen, bathroom, and washer and dryer, almost everyone will find this space accommodating, private and very inviting. We have basic cookware and utensils, and provide fresh linens and comfortable bedding for everyone. We have custom, hand-built this cozy home, and love and care for it well. We invite you to come, share it, and enjoy it.
We are just a mile or so from Downtown/Old Town Eureka and Humboldt Bay waterfront, 1.5 miles from the beach, and one minute away from the 101 North entrance to make Arcata a quick 7 or 8 minutes away. • Easy to find, easy to enter with a code. Host was very sweet and responsive. On a fairly busy street but the cottage is situated in the back of the house, and traffic was quiet at night. Very comfortable, nice quality bedding. Appreciated the tea that was available, it was a cold night. Simple but adequate place.

Quiet, clean and private. Right across the street from the Eureka Slough with shops, restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Dogs under 20 pounds allowed.
This clean comfortable room is our former master bedroom that we sectioned off from the rest of our home. It has a private entrance, deck and yard. It is located at the rear of our home. My husband, myself, our two mini Dachshunds and an old cat inhabit the front of the house.
Town and country charm at either end of the block! Enjoy some kayaking or some tacos, a short walk down the nature trail along the slough or a long walk down the nearby Humboldt Bay Trail. Safeway is a few blocks away, La Barca taco truck serves great, authentic Mexican food. The Humboldt County Collective is within walking distance ( no smoking allowed in the room) as well as beer on tap and great fish tacos at Redwood Curtain Brewing Company or quality liquor and tobacco at John's Cigars. Kool Beanz serves some of the best lattes and biscuits and gravy or you go to Starbucks all within walking distance. Forgot something? CVS and the Dollar Tree are both close by.
  • A quiet little place with a gorgeous view of the bay at the end of a street.

Electric fireplace, wonderful! Kitchenette supplies exceeded expectations! Quiet, but close to hwy 101. So private! We loved it!

  • Everything about our experience at Jacqueline and Dylan's place was wonderful and a bit more than expected. Even though Hwy. 101 is across the slough, we didn't hear it when we closed the door. My wife and I look forward to staying there again.

  • Jacqueline’s place is in a unique location and filled with thoughtful stylish and functional touches. The room is very private and quiet. It was perfect for my quick trip to Eureka. She is very responsive and made check-in easy. I arrived after dark so I appreciated the lighted pathway and lights on in the room.

    Diane2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jacqueline’s place was great for our couple nights stay in Eureka. A good place to come back to just to sleep after hiking for the day. She also supplied us with everything we needed- plenty of towels, fairly comfortable bed. Thanks again!

  • Wonderful location close to dining and local attraction features. The Vacasa California place was like an amazing visit back to a quieter place in time, with wooden stairs, rails, floors, and tasteful decorations.

  • What a perfect little place in Eureka. The space is stylish and a lot of fun. The building is quaint and historic, as is the neighborhood. You can walk to everything. The shared bath is extremely clean and well kept. We had a great stay.

    Jed2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described. Very close to restaurants, shopping, and the water. Check in was seamless and we would definitely stay again. The shared bath was no big deal. The bed was extremely comfortable.

  • 2nd stay in the California Cowboy and reminded how great the bed sleeps. Highly recommend.

    Derek2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful Victorian building with a great view of downtown. The room has wonderful touches of Victorian and Western styles. The shared bathroom experience wasn't desirable by my partner, however he came around when he noticed how clean and welcoming it was. Definitely would stay here again when visiting friends in the area. It is by far the best bang for your buck.

    Crystal2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful building and room in the center of Eurekas main strip. Very charming and stylish with plenty of clean towels, sheets, and a French press even! No coffee provided that we could find, so make sure to bring your own if you stay. Shared bathroom situation wasn’t too difficult, would advise factoring in extra time before the 10am checkout if you want to shower in the morning. All in all wonderful experience! Thank you!

This peaceful private room will give you a relaxing stay in a beautiful, centrally located neighborhood. It includes a private entrance, a kitchenette, and a quirky retro bathroom. Your hosts can give you personalized advice on the best local spots to visit if you'd like, but will largely leave you in peace.
The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave, hot/cold water dispenser, coffee maker (we provide the coffee), and dishes. We have a driveway with 2 parking spots for you to use! If you have a large vehicle, we recommend parking on the street. The room comes with a queen sized bed and space heater.
The beautiful architecture, lush greenery, and friendly passersby make this one of the nicer neighborhoods in Eureka. While it isn't downtown, its central location makes it easy to get anywhere in Eureka. A very cute local coffee shop called Ramones is a short 5-minute walk away, and there are a few longer 20-minute walks through the beautiful neighborhood that will take you to the Zoo and Sequoia Park or to an adorable shopping center called Henderson Center. We walk to these places all the time!
  • I recommend Darcy & Ben’s place as it is a comfortable private suite with really good amenities in the room - as is described in the listing. Everything is new. It is beautiful and comfortable.Your parking is right next to the house. You will love Humboldt County, in the beautiful Redwoods. The Living Room is large and bright. The neighbors have been here for over 40 yrs. They are wonderful. This is a Victorian that has 5 separate units ,each with its own entrance.
I love this neighborhood. All of our neighbors surrounding us have been here for over 40 yrs. They are friendly and care about their neighborhood.
  • We stayed in Maureen’s condo for a weekend and it was a great place to relax after a long day exploring the beautiful near by beaches, hiking, and fishing! Everything was spotless upon our arrival and it had many thoughtful touches. The bed was very comfortable and clean. and the bedroom was much bigger than expected. The gas fireplace in the living room produced a good amount of heat and there where many extra blankets if needed. Overall this is a great place to stay near Old Town and Down Town Eureka, but also just a short drive from beautiful beaches, rivers, and hiking trails. definitely would recommend!

  • This place is as beautiful as the picture. The couch was butter soft and really comfy and the fireplace put off great heat. Everything we needed (scissors, creamer, a pad of paper) was there and exactly where you would expect to find them. The closet has curtains which make it easy to hide your stuff and enjoy the beauty of the design of the place without having to look at a bunch of open suitcases. Loved it!

  • Excellent Location for being on the waterfront in downtown Eureka! Many things to do and explore! Parking was not an issue for me at all!

  • This might have been my favorite Airbnb yet. What a dreamy space. Perfect location in cool Eureka too. The bed was so comfortable. Check-in easy and great instructions. Thoughtful touches. Loved it!

    Cherrise2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was definitely a fun experience! The victorian boutique style bedroom had so much character with a high ceiling, huge windows, and great decor. The king size bed was really comfortable and the shared bathroom upstairs, with a private shower and bathroom, wasn't an issue at all. It was extremely clean and never ran into someone else having to use it. There is also a public bathroom on the same floor, down the hall, from this room if having a bathroom upstairs is a concern. I suggest just being cautious going for a walk around the cute little town at night. It's a ghost town after 9pm in Eureka and the streets fill up with homeless people. Overall, would highly recommend staying here if you're passing through like we were!

  • This was the perfect location for our needs. Check in was easy, everything was spotless and comfortable. Yes, we were made aware of the stairs and booked this anyway because of the reviews. While stairs aren't our most favorite thing due to our aging bodies, it was well worth the 16 steps to this lovely apartment. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck smelling the coastal breeze and watching the fog burn off. The next time I'm in Humboldt County, I'm crossing my fingers this is available.

Our home was built in circa 1946 with 100 yrs old Train Station timbers. Located in a quiet neighborhood, it is a vintage and cozy house that is both senior and family-friendly. Distance to Points of Interest: About 8 mins drive to restaurants, shopping, and Eureka sights (Old Town, Sequoia Park & Zoo). A 20 min drive to HSU, a 30 – 90 mins drive to other Humboldt County attractions. It is also 20 min walk to Old Town Eureka. For further details read below
    (1) You will receive three Bedrooms, one full Bathroom, a Dining and Living Room, a spacious Kitchen with a charming garden view, and a fully fenced back yard with a sitting area (2) The Northern California coastal climate is excellent for the Redwood trees. As such, it also brings humidity and conditions that accompany humid areas. (3) Both entrances have steps. We can gladly provide a wheelchair ramp with advance notice. (4) NO Central heating. Because the house is not centrally heated, we provide one electric energy friendly space heater in each bedroom and an Electric Fireplace in the Living Room. Handmade hospitality located in an excellent neighborhood with quiet considerate neighbors. Our home is very family friendly, comfortable and safe for children and seniors alike. It is what you see in the photographs, no more and no less. If you are seeking fancy, chic, ultra modern, this is not the home for you. If you want comfortable, family friendly, room to stretch out, many handmade homey touches and accessible hosts in a good neighborhood, this IS the home for you! Minutes away from all attractions in Eureka and a good central point to visit beaches and redwood forests. Sequoia Park, a 67 acre facility next to Sequoia Park Zoo that features walking and bicycle trails through the redwood forest, meadows, duck pond and two small creeks, is 5 minutes away. A favorite for locals and visitors alike. Old Town Eureka is a pleasant 20 minute walk from our house. During the summer Old Town hosts the Friday Night Markets, The Summer Concert Series every Thursday starting June 13 and so much more. The calendar of Old Town Events is in the Guidebook in the Dining Room. Our home is NOT smoker/vaping friendly. We do not forbid smokers/vapers but smokers/vapers are NOT allowed to smoke/vape anywhere within 15 feet of the doors and windows. Smokers/vapers are definitely NOT allowed to smoke/vape on either the front or back steps. There are NO sheltered areas, other than your own vehicle, to smoke/vape during inclement weather. Please do NOT throw cigarette butts on the ground/gutter. We are in a coastal area.
This is a quiet family neighborhood, the local High School is a couple blocks away but has never been an issue. The neighbors are aware that this is an Airbnb home. It is about a 20 minute easy walk to Old Town and the Bay or Henderson Center. A few minutes by car. There is one large indoor shopping mall, Bayshore Mall, 5 minutes by car, on Broadway. Eureka Mall, a strip mall is also a few minutes away by car.
  • This is a very family friendly place with lots of information about the local area, ample snacks, and comfortable touches that made our stay very very nice! Ava is very responsive to any needs, questions, and concerns!

  • We traveled to Eureka for a Cribbage Tournament and it was our first time renting an Air BnB. First, Ava was an amazing communicator, answering questions almost immediately. The home was older, built in the 1940s and we just loved it. It reminded me of my childhood home so much. It was very clean and comfortable and our hostess left goodies on the counter which was so nice! We heard a couple of horror stories from other cribbage goers about their Air BnB experience (NOT at Ava's) in Eureka but I guess we won the lottery in choosing this one. Very quiet neighborhood with little to no traffic. We'll definitely choose this same place next year, if available.

    Deborsha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • This was the perfect spot for our family of 5, including 2 children under 8 and a baby. The living space was cozy but enough room for the kids to play. The complimentary Bounce House passes insured they wouldn’t feel too cooped up. Toys were found in the closets and my kids loved the library provided in one of the bedrooms. For the most part it was child proofed, and even though the rooms depended on electric heat, our rooms were very warm and cozy on cold nights. The beds had good mattresses and were very firm. Our family slept like a rock which means a lot because our youngest is 3 months old. It’s true the decor is very Grandma’s house, not the hip, spa like experience I usually aim for when traveling. But when having 3 kids in tow, this place is a necessity when exploring the PNW. And it is in fact a house that belonged to the hosts mother, which may explain the comfortable and loving feeling to the atmosphere felt in the walls. Like a previous guest said, it’s the best of grandma’s house, I’ll just add without dealing with needling relatives. ;) Ava was very communicative, even when a statewide scheduled PG&E blackout threatened our trip, she gave us a heads up and seemed to understand if we needed to cancel. We didn’t cancel thank goodness and our family had the best trip yet. Traveling with an infant isn’t easy, but heck, you have to get out there. I just wish I could find more vacation rentals like this one.

Newly renovated carriage house all set up to be your home away from home. Our guest cottage will comfortably sleep three and includes all the kitchen gear you need to cook to your hearts content. With nice, 100% cotton sheets and luxurious, large towels, your stay will be comfy and cozy. Coffee, tea, and creamer are provided, instant oatmeal is in the cupboard, and farm fresh eggs from our own chickens, but you HAVE to ask for eggs if you want them- Ill be happy to provide some for your group.
The queen bed is covered with great-grandma's hand stitched antique quilt, with a variety of pillows from hard to soft to squishy to choose from. The Couch-bed is no pull out sofa couch! It is 10-inches of memory foam that fold down into a very comfortable twin bed, with its own quilt and hand-crocheted blanket. Brightly decorated with my husband Brandon's original paintings, and with an open ceiling that makes it feel much larger than it is, our guest house is the perfect environment to relax after a day of exploring Humboldt's grandeur.
While Eureka offers the small town charm of a Gold-Rush era lumber town, no neighborhood is immune to the lowest elements. It is strongly advised, no matter where you stay, to not leave valuables in your vehicle.
  • Amanda and her crew and family are awesome. They welcomed me to Humboldt County with warmth and generosity. They have been extremely helpful and accommodating to my needs. They are present and personable, without being intrusive. The place is very nice, clean, spacious and open. It is very close to all goods and services (much is within easy walking distance), while being a quiet out-of-the way residential neighborhood.
