Places to stay in Evansville
Located 10 miles from Downtown Madison, the Capitol, and Camp Randall Stadium, Oregon is a beautiful village with a quiet neighborhood feel. The room is located in a historic farmhouse, one of the first properties built in the Village. Whether you're coming for summer fun, the market, or a Badger game, this is a great place to relax after an exciting day!
This is a house run by a very friendly cat, so if you have allergies this might not be the best place for you. But if you've got your own furry friends, they're welcome to join you!
  • Bridget’s place is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up! We felt right at home and enjoyed talking for awhile with Bridget the evening we arrived. We also enjoyed her recommendations for coffee and a local church since we were looking for one to attend in the morning. 😊 We would definitely choose to stay there again if we are in the area!

  • We spent a night at Bridget's on our way from Chicago to northern WI. What a delight to stay somewhere that is not only friendly, but truly dog friendly :) Great value, clean and tidy, private bathroom and candy and Netflix ready in the room! Perfect for solo travelers or couples with dogs.

  • We stayed here for a little day trip to Madison and I highly recommend it! We didn’t get to check out the area much but Bridget was a fantastic and very communicative host. The room and private bathroom attached were stylish, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. The space heater was a great touch for some white noise to help me sleep. We were greeted by the lovely and friendly cat in the morning as well! All in all it was a fantastic place to stay.

  • Great little place outside of Madison!

  • We loved staying at Bridget's place! The room was cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Bridget is a very friendly, helpful host. I was especially grateful for the coffee and snacks in the morning. I'd definitely stay at Bridget's again if I'm ever in the area!

Enjoy a wildlife retreat in the solitude of nature, only a short drive from the capital. We welcome guests to enjoy this natural sanctuary, with ponds, a flowing tributary of Story Creek, and several miles of private walking trails.
Our guest suite offers a fireplace, a jacuzzi bathtub, and large windows overlooking a peaceful landscape. We are family friendly, and welcome well-behaved pets.
Our home is located in a quiet setting adjacent to the Brooklyn Wildlife Area. This state wildlife area offers excellent hiking, birding, and trout fishing opportunities. We are 15 minutes from the charming towns of New Glarus and Paoli, as well as 25 minutes from the Alliant Energy Center of Madison.
  • This is a really cool space, basically a basement off the side of the house and has great views of wildlife roaming around or the stars while enjoying the fire place! Also pretty close to new glarus for food and stuff

  • This place was amazing. It was a super place to stay that was near the city, but out in a nature sanctuary that was perfect to act as our home base when we were in town visiting family. Returning every evening to this beautiful space was a great way to recharge every day. It was extremely clean and it had everything I needed. But the best part was that this space catered as much to my pugs as it did to me. My dogs loved being able to easily go in and out with our private entrance. They loved sprawling out on the big dog bed in front of the fireplace and even meeting the host dogs for a little friendly run about. This place was so welcoming and is a real gem in the Airbnb community. We will be back for sure.

  • Seth's place is the perfect restful getaway. We absolutely loved the view and how quiet it was... and the beautiful birds that stopped by to use the feeders. The space had everything we could possibly need and even more... we enjoyed the books and games (especially Mancala!). We spent a day hiking through the Brooklyn Wildlife Area in the snow, that was also great! Would highly recommend this space to others.

    Ashley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing!! Such thoughtful touches all over the space and they were so kind and flexible with us. Access to the nature trails right out the back door, and coming back to enjoy a Jacuzzi bath and a fireplace was so delightful. We are definitely going back as a go-to get away spot!!

    Jennifer2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to vacation. It is the perfect size for a couple people to peacefully stay. The property had everything we needed to be comfortable and have our needs met. It was perfectly clean & pleasant to be in, and very welcoming. We were traveling with our two dogs who were very welcome to join us on this trip which we greatly appreciate!!! The owner checked in with us several times to make sure we were doing okay and if we needed anything, but at the same time gave us our space & privacy. This home is a very beautiful home filled with beautiful hearts. Thank you so much for your hospitality!!

    Christina2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to get away from it all and enjoy natural surroundings to recreate in or just look at, this is the place. Big, fresh snowfall was perfect for sledding and snowshoeing. Would be beautiful sitting on the patio in warmer weather too. Seth was a very congenial host.

  • I just absolutely loved the place. It was so comfortable, clean, warm & everything I could have hoped for & more. Now I have a place to stay in Brooklyn when I visit my daughter. It was an absolute delight. Seth was a great host. Couldn’t have asked for a better one. Thank you Seth. So much!

  • A relaxing getaway, perfect for unplugging.

    Cara2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy’s is all that it’s advertised to be, my wife didn’t want to even go there because of the portapotty , but I drove her out there the day before, and once she saw it and jumped on the swing she loved it! It’s beautiful out there! Try it you’ll love it too!! Chuck McGarvie I’m a chauffeur from Phoenix Arizona, and I would not hesitate to recommend such a place to my clients!

    Charles2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at the Lakefront cottage. Tracy has provided everything you could need for a quiet little getaway. There were items for every activity: kayaking, grilling, marshmallow roasting, etc. I especially appreciated the citronella candle. Though we only had a short stay, we were able to get out and explore the surrounding area. Beautiful drives and bike trails to be had nearby.

    Lucy2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the place to stay if you love camping. We didn’t get to take full advantage of everything this cottage has bc we were at the CrossFit games a majority of the time BUT if we had more time it’s a great place to camp. It has a mixed feeling of camping and glamping. It’s a nice mixture bc when you’re hot from being outside you can go inside to a clean space and air conditioning. I definitely recommend this cottage if you want to come camp!

    Kaitlyn2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I will for sure stay here again. So many nice touches to make us feel right at home. The entire place was spic and span - so clean and immaculate! My daughters (17 & 19) were nervous about the porta potty- but found it to be so clean and immaculate they didn’t have any problems! We all enjoyed unplugging from WIFI and enjoyed the peacefulness of being on a quiet lake. We had plenty of space for 4 adults plus a friend of my daughter who also came. The beds, pillows, and sheets were very comfortable. The space was very nicely decorated and fresh. Check-in was a breeze as was communication- prompt. We were hesitant because of the porta potty and teenage girls- but they didn’t have an issue after seeing how clean it was. So nice to be able to bring our dogs too.

    Lisa2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome cottage! Super clean and very homey. Tracie was a great host, quick to respond to questions and left so many personal touches that really made our vacation special. The kids LOVED finding root beer and ice cream to make some floats, along with kayaks for boating in the lake. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area. We will be back the next time we visit Wisconsin!

    Amanda2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even better than the pictures! Tracy was super communicative and hospitable. The little house was perfect. The front room was a great place to relax and wait out the short storm that passed through. The bedroom was beautiful and cozy and everything was stocked - from pots and pans to bug spray to Spotted Cow in the fridge! We spent Saturday floating on their boat on the lake and did a bit of swimming. So peaceful! Perfect weekend getaway.

We offer a private 700 square foot apartment over the top of our detached garage. The space is located a block away from a coffee shop and the Badger State Trail.
Our space is unique due to its closeness to Sugar River, and the Badger State trail. There are also places to hike the Ice Age trail that are 5 minutes away. The Village of Belleville is a small quiet place but only 20 minutes away from Madison.
Our neighborhood is quiet, and our neighbors are wonderful. Everyone I have met around my home has been very nice to us.
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean and well maintained. It’s private with no disturbances. The place is behind the main house with its own entrance. We also received welcome cookies.

    Neha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great deal and private stay- close drive to new glarus and Madison. Also checkout the Duluth outlet that is a couple mins away, and the coffee shop-llama (something)- less than a block away, cute and good!!

    Micayla2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was simple and clean and well worth the cost. I was in town on business for well over a week and couldn’t have picked a better quieter place away from the hustle. This was also in a great location less than a minute walk from a great coffee shop and local cafe. I would highly recommend this stay!!

    Ali2020-02-07T00:00:00Z

  • This is a charming, clean and well-thought out Airbnb. The location is quiet and near the city's main business district and park. Highly recommend.

  • We were in town for a family wedding and had a wonderful quiet retreat here in the carriage house. Belleville is such a cute town and everything is just a short walk from the house. Check-in was super easy with clear instructions to check in on your own which was great considering we got in much later than we expected and therefore didn’t have to disturb anyone. Overall a cozy and wonderful stay! We would definitely recommend staying here and if we’re ever back in town for a family event we would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your hospitality!

Country cabin with small kitchen, SMALL BATHROOM, large porch, gardens and birds galore. Located in the country just south of Madison WI. Enjoy the country life, quiet yet close enough to the city to enjoy Madison's activities or Stoughton's Opera House. Sauna, Fire pit, hiking, kayaks available, ask about pets. WiFi is available but not reliable this is a country setting with slow connections. Please communicate with me regarding pets before booking.
Country setting. Farm setting with farm animals. Paths available for walking, snowshoe or xc skiing. Private outdoor sauna available. WiFi is available but not reliable. This is a remote setting with slow connections.
Birds are frequent visitors at the feeders and in the trees. This is a rural farm setting. The cabin is private. We live on the premises separated by wooded areas. Chickens are free range.
  • Eddie and Gwen were fantastic hosts. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, including offering fresh eggs, ground beef and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. All were delicious. The cabin itself is clean, comfortable and quirky and the sauna is a great bonus. It did not seem like the strongest wifi signal, but it worked just fine for us. For those who aren't familiar with the area, the town of Stoughton is very cool (less than 5 minute drive from the cabin) and Madison, WI is also an easy drive. We made trips into both. A great weekend across the board.

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, charming cottage on an expansive, quiet, and naturally pretty piece of land. Ed & Gwen are salt of the earth people and great hosts. Perfect place for a getaway for anyone looking to reconnect with the land and life’s simple pleasures. We had a great time and would love to go back!

    Michael2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely time enjoying the cozy cabin, fresh eggs and sauna! Thanks for the hospitality!!

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a space to reconnect with yourself, you found it! Strip away all the distractions, technology, work, stress, et cetera. This little slice of heaven will bring you back to the simple things: sleeping, cooking, nature, awareness of the right here and now. I made some of my best cooking here precisely because of where it placed me. There were birds even at winter. I can only imagine what it is like in spring and summertime. It is conducive to a good read and meditation. I did both, and then the sauna! A great reward after the read or meditation. Gwen and Ed, are the best of hosts and they keep it real. They have a wealth of experience and show you how life should be done. Thank you guys! You are an example to follow, and your haven is a reflection of the quality of folks you are. Enjoy a rejuvenating stay here; the only reason you should come here! Regards, Jesús

    Jesus2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • We truly loved all the thoughtful touches in your sweet little get away- the sauna was what we needed as well as the company of the cows and chickens!! The extra love of wine, eggs, and honey meant a lot to us as we are both very careful about the food we choose to put within ourselves. It was just an all around beautiful experience 💕

    Ashley & Chelséa2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time staying in this light filled peaceful cabin! Ed and Gwen were outstandingly generous hosts and we really enjoyed our time on their property. I feel so lucky to have found a perfect Airbnb close to our family in Stoughton, we’ll be back again and again!!!

    Jess2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Hospitality at its finest! We were immediately greeted as we arrived with a nice bottle of wine and a jar of her honey that she got from her 🐝 hives. The location of the cottage is close enough to Madison for an easy commute but far enough not to get stuck in traffic. Driving 8 hours from Kansas City was long but totally worth it. The best part is yet to come. They offered us a free night!! Possibly due in part to our long journey so dont go expecting a free night! Unfortunately we had to work and couldn't stay but the kindness of the offer couldn't go unpublished. 5 stars all the way!

    Cory2019-12-20T00:00:00Z

  • Steven’s place is the cleanest Airbnb I have ever stayed at. He is an excellent host and left clear and concise instructions for easy entry to his home in a beautiful residential area. Doug

  • The place was as described and it fit our needs for a couple days stay near Madison Steven was available very quickly and bought a coffee maker and coffee and supplies when we realized there wasnt one and asked him about it. This was a safe place to stay and very private Very good value and very reasonable cost

Welcome to historic Stoughton! Our building was built in 1890, so it is both cozy and quirky. Great for long-term travelers, the apartment is very well-stocked. We've tried to think of everything you might need! We are located directly on Main Street and IN the Yahara River, so Riverview #1 is the best of both worlds. Easy walk to great restaurants, musical shows, unique shopping and nature trails.
We are pet-friendly! We love traveling with our dogs, and hope you do too. The apartments are blocked for the holidays, but are available if booked for a 4 night minimum. So if you are interested, send us a message and we can send you a special offer.
We are listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Main St. District. Our downtown has so many great restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Leave your car parked and walk to movies, music and other fun out on the town!
  • great location, and comfy apartment! Very clean and there were snacks!

  • We loved our stay in downtown Stoughton. This place was cute, clean and centrally located in a cute downtown area with lots of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed a nice little walk to the yahara river trail bridge and a drive to New Glarus brewery all in an afternoon. Quick trip to downtown Madison too. This was a nice, quiet getaway that we really savored thanks to our hosts thoughtful touches.

Small town pace, I built for myself as a Chicago getaway. Fun constantly changing space. When I find something cool I'll grab it for the space. So the furniture and other items of interest are always changing.
Part of a former hardware store now a one of a kind loft getaway. I converted this space for a weekend getaway for myself. I tried to be as green as possible by recycling and re purposing building materials. A big 1980s bar, 1950s Metal kitchen, 1930s Ben Hur freezer converted to an island stove plus mostly recycled door, windows, light and bath fixtures. 1500 total square feet. The main area is appx. 1000 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings. The executive suite has a queen size bed and there are the Pullman Junior suites, They are 60 and 70 sq ft sleeping alcoves. I have some old bicycles available so you can ride the trails. I am on the doorstep of SW Wisconsin adventures. A few blocks away you can get on a bike trail nework with over 200 miles of trails, the Sugar River is across the street for tubing fishing or canoe/kayaks. The Swiss town of New Glarus and its acclaimed brewery are 20 minutes away. The Driftless area has some of the best motorcycling roads in the central Midwest. Historic Mineral Point, House on the Rock, Frank Lloyd Wrights Taliesin and many other activities and attractions are an easy drive. In the winter hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails are at the door. For some culture you are 30 miles south of the wonderful college town and state captial of Madison. Small town, get away from it all. Limited cell service with some carriers. 3 bars, two diners, a pizza place open 5 to 8 a few nights, small bowling alley, a mini-mart and Dollar Store on the edge of town. Full markets in Broadhead or Monticello
Small town America, you are in the heart of downtown, but it's only 1 block long. Pizza place, ice cream shop, a diner, 3 taverns, bowling alley on a tubing place are on the block. The only Internet in town is slow just like the town.
  • Go visit Center Tap-cute Main Street and lots of space!

    Catherine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Mark's place! What a fun and unique apartment in the center of a wonderful small town! The vintage decor was so cool and you can't beat being 2 doors down from the Center bar!

    Katelin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The loft style space was clean and would heat quickly. All the kitchen, bath and bed amenities were solid. I found the atmosphere homey and very relaxing. While a business professional may need a copier and other services, I found it met 95% of my professional and personal needs, which I was willing to sacrifice for the comfort, bedrooms and full kitchen. The neighbors upstairs were almost never heard and although they have a dog, it seldom barked. None of the previous reviews’ problems were found by me.

    Darrel2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for great value. Be sure to check out Center Tavern for some tasty burgers and beers. This was our second time staying here and probably won’t be the last. 👍

Cooksville Farmhouse Inn is a "family friendly rural retreat in the Town that Time Forgot." Enjoy a large stone fireplace as well as a woodstove, a fully equipped kitchen for guests' use, a fenced in yard, large patio and party barn in the country.
Cooksville Farmhouse Inn is located in Southern Wisconsin, 25 minutes from Madison and 2 hours from Chicago. The 10 room farmhouse, originally built in the 1850’s, is on the National Register of Historic Places along with most of the entire village. Cooksville is a small, rural community of 35 houses that has a rich history. It is surrounded by rolling farmland and located on the Badfish Creek. Much of the nearly land was once owned by famous statesman Daniel Webster. The farmhouse is set within a lovely ten-acre restored prairie crisscrossed by paths for walks beside the spring-fed spring in the summer and snow shoeing in the winter. Discover 4 handmade bridges over the stream at various points. Look for wildlife such as hawks, cranes, geese, snakes (harmless), foxes, raccoons, opossum, deer, rabbits. The prairie is fringed by pastures that house our mules. Enjoy the quiet, rustic, family-friendly atmosphere of the farmhouse which has a soapstone wood stove and massive free standing fireplace to keep guests cozy when the snow flies, a large deck and stone patio area with sheltered table and chairs for barbecues and outdoor meals in warm weather, as well as great views of the prairie and sunsets. There is an English barn on the property available to rent for parties, receptions, etc.
The village of Cooksville has about 35 houses, an artist's studio, the old one room schoolhouse, and the Cooksville Country Store which is the oldest general store in WI is just 2 doors away and has hand dipped ice cream, cheese and sausage, jams, candies and soft drinks. The entire village is on the National Register of Historic Places and dates back to the 1840's. The land was owned by statesman, Daniel Webster before it was sold to the Cook brothers who built the house next door to the Cooksville Farmhouse Inn 175 years ago. Tours are available with our local historian for a modest fee. Please inquire. Visit Cooksville News Blog for stories and pictures.
  • The house is beautiful and spacious. Kitchen is great for preparing meals. You are out in the country, but close enough to stores, etc. if you have forgotten anything. Your hosts are very nice people who want you to enjoy your time at their property. Very nice home away from home.

  • Great home in a great little town. Convenient to Madison and Milton, where family live. Excellent location for us all to get together. Cozy home with a wonderful fireplace and room to spread out. Beautiful grounds for a walk and a lot to do in the area.

    Carole2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our two families (4 adults 6 kids) stayed at Martha's lovely Farmhouse Inn about 2hrs and 15 minutes from Chicago October 11-14, 2019. The house perfectly accommodated our two families. Our four kids slept in one big bedroom that was outfitted with three twin beds plus there was room for the roll away. We had a the king bedroom downstairs with attached bathroom. And our friends had the queen bedroom upstairs and their two boys had the upstairs bedroom with two twin beds. (our kids ages range from 4-9yo). The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed, it could use a full set of measuring cups and a few more pans for the oven and a food processor or blender but that's definitely not a major complaint. We were still able to make most of what we had planned, we had more than enough food. We enjoyed spending time around the fireplace at night. The game room was great for the kids. Playing outside was a definite highlight. The kids had so much fun going on adventures through the prairie paths, finding the gazebo, looking for frogs in the creek. We also had a great time picking apples and pumpkins, feeding the farm animals and eating the world's best apple crisp and apple cider donuts at Alpine Ridge Apple Orchard. We wanted to check out the Cooksville Country Store just down the road from the house but they were closed on Sunday (despite their posted hours showing they should be open at that time. ha). We really enjoyed ourselves and only wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely hope to be back next year.

  • Beautiful farmhouse located in a National Register Wisconsin village (yes, the whole town is on the National Register). Comfortable accommodation, nice kitchen, great gathering spaces inside and out. Prairie walks, stream, horseshoes.

  • My boyfriend and I went for a weekend getaway from the city trip- this place exceeded our expectations. The house is cozy, perfectly decorated, and historic. The grounds are beautiful. It is close to a dairy that has amazing cheese for even better prices and all that southern Wisconsin has to offer is in short driving distance. You don’t even need to leave the property though- you can just snuggle up by the fireplace, which we thoroughly enjoyed doing. Thank you so much!

    Caitlin2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Farmhouse was an amazing place for our family get-together. The house is stocked with everything and there was room for everyone to spread out with loads of bedrooms, beds and bathrooms. We knew there was a natural prairie but it was much larger and more impressive than we anticipated - the grounds alone are a reason to visit. Martha and Bob were wonderful hosts and even gave us a impromptu tour of the event barn and garden when we were outside. We will definitely return next fall. Thank you, Martha!

Vintage apartment with an original clawfoot tub. Great for families and pet friendly! Very well-stocked and perfect for long-term travelers. We've tried to think of everything you might need :) This apartment has the best of both worlds- great location and an awesome view of the river! Sit at the bar and watch nature out the window, then walk right out the door to all Main Street has to offer.
This building is 129 years old, so it's got some quirks! Floors are a bit saggy, but we think it's worth it for the charm :) The apartment sleeps 3 adults comfortably, up to 7 if you are willing to sleep on a couch or floor mattress or climb into a bunk bed. Extra floor mattresses are available in the bedroom closet.
Main St. in Stoughton is listed on the National Register of Historic places. Our quaint and friendly downtown has so much to offer- great restaurants, music, unique shopping and more. Or walk the other direction and follow the river to beautiful nature trails. We've seen osprey and bald eagles!!

  • If you have a special place in your heart for older homes like me, this is a wonderful place for you! The apartment is very comfortable along with stylish. The touches from the town’s heritage were things I could appreciate, being Norwegian myself! Be sure to take a bath in the tub; claw foot tubs are rare and trust me, you will love it. The kitchen is adorable! An overall very cozy, very nice place!

    Haley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy to acess, you'll be living right on Main street. 2 hour parking right outside the door and free parking for 48 hours right around the corner is a winner in my book. You'll find everything you need in the apartment. If you're staying for an extended period of time a washingmachine is the only thing you'll be missing. It's an old apartment but a lot more charming than a modern hotel!

Oregon is in South Central Wisconsin just a short drive to Madison, Wisconsin’s capital city. Oregon has a budding downtown business district 2 blocks away. Our lower level private apartment is great for couples, friends, families, and business travelers. We created the apartment when we built a new addition onto our home in 2014. The apartment has a separate secure private exterior entrance and secure private interior entrance. There is a Ring camera that overlooks the parking area.
The apartment has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and 2 full size fold out sofas in the living room. The sofa beds have new memory foam mattresses that are much more comfortable than the spring type. The apartment has in floor heating. You will not feel like you are ten steps below ground level. The apartment is not handicapped accessible. There is an egress window in the bedroom for your safety, as required by code. There are seven restaurants within two blocks of the apartment that you can easily walk to after a day of fun, work or travel.
Oregon is a safe and quiet community located 8 miles from the Alliant Energy Center and 11 miles from the State Capitol and the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison. The VA and University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics are 12 miles away and Epic Corporation is 13 miles from our home. You can walk to the Oregon Pool, tennis courts, salons, schools, restaurants, gift shops, grocery store, parks, and churches. There are also many bike trails and routes nearby. If you are traveling with children, they will enjoy the playground at the elementary school behind our home. Oregon has a dog park and an off leash walking trail.

  • CJ's place was as amazing as the hosts themselves. I booked their place as a wedding gift for our best friends. From the start, communication was quick and easy. They even went out of their way to help make their stay even more special. Their dog got along amazingly with our friend's dog too. Our friends had nothing but amazing things to say about the hosts and their home. They would 100% go back again. Thank you!

    Kristen2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • CJ and Jan welcomed my husband, dog and me for the weekend. The loft in the log cabin was the size of a studio apartment, very comfortable. This was the first time my husband and I have shared a common space with the homeowner of an Airbnb. CJ and Jan provided a nice balance of genuine conversation and privacy. With more time and better weather, we definitely would have utilized their kayaks or canoe. Very close access to the lake.

    Joanne2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • CJ and Jan were lovely hosts to me and my husband and two dogs! Beautiful area right next to the lake. They had treats waiting for our dogs, a crate, and an extra dog bed as well. They had tons of great local tips and were exceptionally hospitable.

    Shannon2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • 5 star rating!! Beautiful place to stay!!! The amenities are outstanding, the hosts are wonderful people, and the loft where we stayed was very spacious and clean. We got to use the canoe on beautiful Lake Kegonsa! Highly impressed!!

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at CJ and Jan's place!! The upstairs loft is large, very comfortable, and private. There is also a side porch to enjoy as well! Our wonderful hosts welcomed us with cookies, coffee, water, and breakfast cake for the morning, plus a wonderful guidebook for restaurants and local activities. CJ and Jan graciously let us use their canoe, and kindly helped us get it down to the boat launch, just a short walk away. When we were leaving, we had some cheese we wanted to keep cool for our trip home, and Jan kindly provided us with ice and a cooler to take our goodies home. Plus, Charlie the doodle was so friendly and too cute!! Thank you, CJ and Jan -- we had such a wonderful stay! We would definitely recommend to anyone considering a stay here!

    Christine2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for being such wonderful hosts! You made us feel like family and your home is so beautiful. • We were nervous about bringing our puppa-poo along with us but our hosts made us feel at ease with their wonderful hospitality! Newly renovated, 3-bedroom vacation home located on the Sugar River in downtown Albany. Albany is a quaint little town with a lot to offer. Enjoy tubing/canoeing down the river, a diner, pizza place, Italian restaurant, 3 taverns, and a bowling alley all within the downtown block. With being only 30 miles away from Madison and 17 miles from New Glarus, Albany is a prime location for your stay!
This space is an updated storefront building located right on the main street in downtown Albany.
  • A very comfortable and well planned space. Love how it was decorated for Christmas! It gave a very festive feel. Thanks for the extra touches.

    Judith2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Sugar River behind the apartment is a Bonus. The Hideaway is just that, a hideaway, disguised from the street as a dark storefront, but a stylish apartment awaits within. The space is super versatile, with three bedrooms, nicely separated from each other so individuals could easily retreat when they felt a nap coming on. In addition, there’s a comfy leather sectional couch, a fold-out futon near the view of the river to the back, and a couple of air mattresses. We used all three bedrooms and the occasional couch, and everyone was cozy and comfortable (though the rooms in the back of the house do run a little chilly in the wintertime). The full kitchen, though a little tight, had pretty much everything we needed in a well thought out layout. All full sized appliances worked beautifully and are in near new condition. All we had to bring were some larger pots, a roasting pan and a couple of serving pieces to cook and serve our thanksgiving dinner. We could not have pulled this gathering off in most other short term rental apartments. This was a great experience and one of the nicest AirBnB I’ve stayed in. Best of all, we didn’t have to leave our dogs behind. (They’re well behaved so there was no fear of damage.) The kitchen has plates and utensils for 5, which we supplemented with a few more platters and cooking supplies. For normal meals, what was supplied would have worked just fine. Dish TV was great for the occasional movie, a table and four chairs in the dining area large enough for sit-down dinners, and the sectional with coffee table worked for board games. There were plenty of towels, blankets, linens, pillows and spare shampoo, conditioner and lotion. We would definitely stay again. Looking forward to trying this place in the summertime, when you can kayak down the river, with the canoe livery half a block away— too cold to open in November but looks like so much fun in the warmer weather!! Just looking at the river from the large sliding glass door was relaxing. Checkin and leaving the keys where we found them upon checkout was easy as pie. There were even a few beer tokens left for us for the bar/restaurant next door, but we were so busy cooking and visiting we really didn’t have time to check it out.

  • Great spot in a small town. Really nice inside.

    Judith2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • I love the name of Tanya's place, the Sugar River Hideaway. It is exactly that because you'd never know what a cool Airbnb is beyond the doors of what you see from outside. It's a very stylish, chic space and the view of the dam from the deck is one of the highlights of this place. I would totally recommend this as a great place to stay if you're in the area. There's a restaurant next door and we went and spent the day at New Glarus and checked out the wineries and the brewery. We had a great time!

    Merrilee2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing little Gem. Clean and comfortable with great views on the back patio in a sweet town full of wonderful people. Responses were quick and check-in was super easy. Lots of towels, pillows and a fully stocked kitchen. Close to New Glarus and other great spots for local beer, wine, spirits and CHEESE! We can’t wait to stay here again and visit with our new friends in lovely Albany.

    Erin2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute place! We enjoyed our stay at Tanya’s place even more than we expected. If you are looking to stay in Albany, this is the Airbnb to choose! It’s a short drive to New Glarus to the brewery and nice restaurant options. We did try Gabriella’s Restaurant right in Albany which was also good. The bar “Dam Near Home” right next to Tanya’s place is a great place to have a beer and some cheese curds. Thanks Tanya for being pet friendly, and for providing such an adorable space!!

Since 2002 Very private cottage on large wooded lot overlooking the rock river. Great summer and winter getaway. Enjoy private docks for boats and canoes, great fishing, nearby hiking trails and roads to cycle on and so much more! Pets considered.
  • Was a lovely weekend at the Chris's place! The weather was delightful and we were able to hang out, kayak, and relax. All in all a great place to stay with attentive hosts. Thanks for a wonderful fall weekend!

  • The perfect cabin for a winter weekend getaway! The place is quite cozy and has low ceilings, but it's juuuust right for 2 people (and maybe a little one). Towels and linens are provided!

  • Driving up the drive was beautiful. It was decorated in Christmas lights (we were there right before Christmas). The inside was decorated with a Christmas tree and decorations. The stay was very relaxing, cozy and quaint, just what I was looking for. The small sunroom was a plus to sit out and drink my tea. Fireplace was a charming touch. Perfect size for a get away. It did in fact overlook the river. Easy access and keys were waiting. Chris and George were very nice hosts. Thank you for an enjoyable relaxing stay.

  • Cozy little cottage, clean and comfortable. Great views of the Rock River and easy to get to off the interstate.

  • Beautiful, peaceful cottage with very thoughtful seasonal decorations all over the place. Came for a quiet peaceful weekend and this delivered.

    Andrew2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this little cabin and stayed for 5 nights. High lights: -feels really private. -Breakfast with the birds. Lots of full feeders meant lots of bird species only a few feet from the deck seating and the screened-in sitting room. We had a hummingbird join us for breakfast every morning! -Sunrise sitting on the dock was so peaceful and soul-warming. -Fully equipped kitchen, firewood for the campfire and cute fall decor were other perks. -The place was super clean as well and soothing music was playing when we arrived. -Very well insulated cabin kept us warm night. On warm days we opened the windows and screened doors and got a beautiful breeze through the cabin. Would we stay here again? YES!!! Also there are lots of places nearby to kayak and the host had great recommendations.

    Tiffanie2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for our needs and accommodated two comfortably. The river was a beautiful sight from the back deck and the screened porch (our favorite feature). The comforts of home at a reasonable price made our week long stay wonderful.... much better than a hotel setting. Chris and George were great hosts and the Wisconsin weather was perfect enabling us to keep the windows open the entire week...a plus!

Restored, one-of-a-kind 1920's farmhouse on working 5 acre organic herb farm, great location, easy drive to Madison & EPIC. Enjoy peaceful country setting, fresh air, birds and gorgeous flora as you explore gardens, waterfall features or hang out on the front porch. Snowshoe or x-country ski in winter. Great for couples, solo adventurers or business travelers. Comfortable room & private full bath across the hall. Kitchen available to share refrigerator. Coffee, tea and light breakfast provided.
We have raised 5 girls on this farm who are now off on their own adventures. It is time to share this wonderful space with others. We realize that fresh air and breathing space are sometimes in short supply as we travel this world. Our aim is to not only provide a good night's rest, but respite as well. Natural surroundings are a good way to calm the soul. Our hope for all our guests (potential new friends) is that we can in some small way contribute peace to body, soul and spirit.
Our area, Glenway Rd. is a rural road in the Township of Oregon, with typical fields and farms and some housing development. The road is generally quiet, but does get busier at going to work and coming home from work passing times. We are about 3 miles from the Village of Oregon, (Population 9000) which does have a good grocery store, many filling stations, restaurants and pharmacies.

Stay in our charming 100 year old farmhouse. In the summertime you can enjoy the organic flower and vegetable gardens, pollinator habitat, bird watching and various farm animals. In the winter snuggle up by a toasty fire with a good book and some tea. This farm is a peaceful renewing place to rest and nurture creativity. An organic farmstead breakfast is included.
This is a rural farming neighborhood. Some neighbors are Amish. It's not unusual to see horse and buggies passing by.
  • Great hosts. Great conversations. Great place. Good times. Good people. Good food. Wonderful memories. Good. Great. Wonderful. (-:

  • Amazing stay with a wonderfully hearty breakfast. Our toddler loved playing with the friendly dogs. Also Dela has some great tips on places to visit near Brodhead!

    Geena2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional breakfast: we had homemade bread, scrambled eggs with everything, fried potatoes, pie, fruit etc. There is no hotel that offers this quality. We were greeted by the three lovely dogs and the hospitable Dela and were allowed to visit the property. In addition, we also have a good night. Instead of TV good talks. Recommended!

  • More than just a place to stay... it is an experience that my kids, wife and I will never forget.

  • Warm, cozy setting with great food. Dela and Tony are friendly and accommodating. We felt very welcome. Breakfasts was outstanding.

    Virginia2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was a great evening for me and the group of friends that I travelled with. Deal was able to accommodate our preferences and provided a space that provided the perfect atmosphere for our stay. We we're very lucky to have been able to stay here, some of the highlights from the trip: The dogs will make your heart melt. The cats that we stumbled upon in the farm were some of the best cats I've ever ran into, they loved the unending attention we provided. George the cat was also a great cat. As the sun was setting and the day winding down, walking around the farm was a real nice relaxing treat for a city dweller like me. Tony, Dela's husband, was a bastion of knowledge which my curious group absolutely loved to listen to. To top it all off, there was a spectacular breakfast that concluded our stay. Obviously I cannot express it all in one post but, if you are looking for a place to stay in the area, I recommend Dela and Tony's farm.

    Alvin2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and Dela were kind, gracious and welcoming hosts and we had a wonderful stay at their place. Although we were a larger group and it was a shared space, we felt very much at home. Tony and Dela are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about sustainable agriculture and it was fascinating to learn more about their work and lives. Having never visited this region of Wisconsin before, the farm was a treat for the senses. Dela baked us a delicious farm-to-table breakfast everyday and added many thoughtful little touches to make our stay memorable. Our visit coincided with a few classes Dela was hosting that weekend and she offered us some amazing freshly made bread and cheese. My four year old daughter and her friend enjoyed running around in the backyard, exploring the flower gardens, watching fireflies, observing newly hatched chicks and playing with the three adorable dogs at the farmhouse. If you need a quiet, rural getaway to forget your to-do list and meet some really cool, interesting people, this place will not disappoint.

    Nitya2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Dela is such a gracious host. She was very welcoming and her home was very lovely. She cooked breakfast in the morning that was very delicious and offered fresh clean towels to wash up with. I will definitely be returning and hope others find this review helpful!!!

Fantastic 2 bedroom waterfront home on a dead end street, with beautiful views of the Yahara River and surrounding marsh, yet only 25 minutes from downtown Madison. Serene, quiet, and teeming with cranes, eagles, osprey, beaver, deer, turkey and turtles! Spend a day floating in a kayak or fish off our pier, as the river has almost no motorized boat traffic, averages 2-5 feet deep, and has a very slow current. You will love to sit out in our chairs and watch the water as the sun goes down.
You will have to close the curtains on the master bedroom french doors at night as the sun lights up the bed in the morning!
Please respect our neighbors privacy at night by keeping noise to a minimum
  • A beautiful home and location. The place was spotless, the hot tub was bubbling, and we had a great time. Thanks!

  • Very lovely home, spacious back yard, and great view.

    Julia2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A buccolic paradise. I stayed with my family for a little over a week in early July. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay - we were looking for a countryside retreat with plenty of wildlife and found it. We particularly enjoyed kayaking up and down the river each morning - you can get into Lake Kegonsa or downstream to Stoughton in half an hour or so. I saw something new every day on those trips - an osprey carrying a fish, a bald eagle, musk rats, turtles, racoons, and fish going mad in the rain. My son had his first fishing experience from the dock, and though we didn't catch anything it was still great to sit and watch the bird life. The outdoor amenities (dock, kayak, firepit, jacuzzi and barbecue) are great - we sat out by the fire a couple of nights watching the fireflies. Cranes stalked through the garden most days, and we had a turtle lay its eggs in the sand. With two nature mad kids, we visited the cave of the mounds, and the UW Geological museum in Wisconsin. We also went into Stoughton (for the Stoughton Fair) and played in the water park at Troll beach. Mike was quick to respond on any issues, and the house is cool (with efficient air conditioning) and comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen. The lounge was a particularly lovely place to sit first thing in the morning with the river waking up. It's pretty convenient for shops and facilities, but stil rural enough that you feel you've stepped out of the world for a little while.

  • This is our second visit to Bobs and we wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else when we visit the area!! It’s relaxed and beautiful. Even though we had to leave at 6 am Bob had coffee brewing and a friendly farewell. It the perfect Wisconsin farm experience. Be sure not to miss it !

    Carol2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's place is in a beautiful country setting far from the rush of city life. The farmhouse is charming and comfortable. Bob's hospitality was great and his promptness in answering our questions was very much appreciated. We would definitely stay again if we have an event in the Madison area.

  • Staying with Bob at his Casara Road Farm was one of my best Airbnb experiences and I have done a lot of traveling. His beautiful farm will inspire you to move to Wisconsin. His home was lovely and relaxed and we all felt very comfortable staying there for three weeks. I hope we can return soon. I would highly recommend staying with Bob and relaxing in the hammock while you watch the clouds roll bye and the corn grow tall.

  • Myself and 3 friends stayed with Bob for our trip to see the 2019 CrossFit Games. The property it’s self is secluded, peaceful and very picturesque. We had 3 rooms on the top floor which where equipped with everything we needed. Bob made it perfectly clear from the beginning that nothing was out of bounds and allowed us access to everything within the property. The host, Bob was absolutely brilliant and wasted no time making us feel at home and has a fresh pot of coffee waiting for us each morning when we woke up! Over all the property and host are fantastic and perfect for anyone wanted to visit at the time of the CrossFit Games in Madison.

    David2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute amazing place and host! I feel so blessed to of met Bob and stayed here. I know that by sharing how wonderful this place is, that I may not stay here because of it being booked, but he is a wonderful host that is very knowledgeable about numerous topics including music and the artists. The place is so perfect for what we needed and wish I had more time to see more of the area

    Billy2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bob's farmhouse home is a treasure in the country -- you won't soon forget the beautiful flower gardens, fantastic nature vistas and artful home!! It was a perfect location for our two families with small children to stay: Bob had a pack n'play and high chair ready for us on arrival, and there was an excellent selection of toys for the children. The sunroom was the perfect spot for us all to relax and take in the beautiful views while enjoying leisurely breakfasts in the very well appointed kitchen. Large table for everyone to sit at, many outdoor seating spaces. All within a short easy drive from Madison, Stoughton and the surrounding areas. We often return to Wisconsin to visit family and will definitely be back again.

  • This is a very nice stay right in the downtown of Brodhead. Easy access to the building and rooms via a keycode, which is always much nicer than a lockbox. It's like a miniature hotel, with a handful of rooms sharing the same main entrance. Despite that, they all have private bathrooms, and I never saw anyone else there. Would definitely recommend, it's definitely worth the affordable price.

The beauty of the farm is great in any season. With starlight skies, fields of flowers and a peaceful retreat. Don't miss visiting Victoria, a 250+ year old white oak tree. Still Point Farm is picture prefect. The farm is a perfect respite for couples, solo adventurers or business travelers.

Your private bedroom features a queen size bed and has direct access to the bathroom with shower and adjoining living room/library with big screen TV. Still Point Farm is 8 miles from the 9,000 acre Brooklyn Wildlife Preserve, 15 minutes to New Glarus (Little Switzerland) which is home to New Glarus Brewing Co. with brewery tours, rails to trails biking Sugar River Trail and wonderful cheese fondue. 20 minutes to Stoughton (Little Norway) and the Stoughton Opera House (Great local music scene) and farm-to-table restaurant Wendigo. 25 Minutes to downtown Madison's Capitol Square.
  • We loved staying at a flower farm with dogs, a cat, & several beautiful chickens. Its location between the charming farm town of Brooklyn & the brewery & restaurant hot spot of New Glarus was great. Bed & furniture in TV room were very comfy. Shared bathroom was small but everything worked. Beautiful flower art throughout.

  • If you are looking for a quiet unique place to relax, this is the place for you. The accommodations were clean and comfy and the harvest house was a great place to eat and enjoy the evening in the screened in porch. The farm is beautiful and the hosts are very friendly!

  • Lovely flower farm, we would definitely return! Beautiful dogs, a kitty, some happy chickens and friendly hosts! A pretty and comfortable common space kind of living area where my daughter was able to do some computer work. If you are a large person, it will be a bit tight in the shower. Bring your own coffee (bottled cold brew or something) if you are a coffee fan. Hosts provide a nice selection of herbal teas! Would love to attend a farm to table event here. Thanks to Phil and Penny :)

  • We loved our stay at Stillpoint Farm! It is such a beautiful space and our hosts were so helpful and easy to communicate with! We enjoyed relaxing on the screened in patio, a bonfire, and seeing all the lovely flowers on the farm. Lots to do in New Glarus and we got a hike in at the Brooklyn Wildlife Preserve. Thank you Penny and Phil! We hope to come back sometime!

Close to EPIC, Madison, Janesville and more, our home offers serene, country living just off the beaten path. I have three spaces listed since my two kids are in college. All my listings have a private bathroom and more. Each space is different.
This listing is for Room#2 of 3 -The upstairs bedroom and bathroom listing of my Iowa State University, daughter's room. It has a full sized bed with newer mattress (3 years old and barely used) and a full sized futon couch. The couch is functional but not super comfortable as a bed, so if you need it made up into a bed, please let me know so I can put a foam topper on it and make it up as a bed, otherwise, I will leave it as a couch. This room could sleep 3-4 people if you desired. I do have another twin sized air mattress that can be put on the floor if you wanted to squeeze a 4th person in but again - please let me know so I can have it made up and be aware that floor space will be a bit tight then. Please consider booking a few days here to unplug from the pressure cooker of city life and just breathe, read a book, take a nap and go for a long walk, down a quiet country road without needing to drive for hours and hours to get there. This is my little slice of Heaven. I am friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I can interact with you as much or as little as you like. This is my primary residence with 4, indoor, listings while my children are off to college. Their rooms and bathrooms standing vacant and thus, available to host Air BnB guests. I am not a formal bed and breakfast but I have an amazing location, just off the beaten path, in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Coffee, tea and basic breakfast items are included and located in the kitchen. If I am not home, please make yourself at home and look for what you need. I do not have central air conditioning but due to the way the house is situated on the lot, large eves and many windows, the house stays very comfortable. The downstairs has air conditioning. This is country life at its best and still close to EPIC and downtown Madison. I have a fenced orchard for dogs to use in front of the house as well as sections of the sheep paddock that can be used by a dog who doesn't know how to jump higher than 4 feet. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets. I will show you where the appropriate equipment is and where the waste goes for the each type of pet. I ask that guests bring their own "doggie doo" bags and that they be deposited in the ROUND trash bins, located next to the deck stairs, on the back of the house. Please do NOT put in with the recycling. If you have brought a cat, you should bring your own litter box. I will show you where to put the bagged up kitty waste as needed. Please call if you have any other questions about the pet policy - it is thoroughly described in the house rules. There is a playground, an outdoor riding arena, and a 6 acre fenced field with a walking path that has a friendly, large mulberry tree at the back of the property with a bench where you can really enjoy the sounds of Nature. There is a small bonfire area in the back for "camping out" visitors. There is no electricity, water or restroom in the back. The front porch greets the rising sun with plenty of space for morning yoga, during the warmer months. It is surrounded by the butterfly garden and feels very private even though it is in front of the house. Be forewarned, this space is shared with my chickens and ducks. They are always looking for treats and sometimes leave "deposits" when they come up for a visit. All are relatively friendly but shy. If you choose to share some bread with them, you might have friends for life :-) The deck off the back is where one can enjoy watching the sun set. There is plenty of seating and a table with a large umbrella. There is plenty of space for yoga on the deck, as well as front of the deck, in the yard. There are many gardens in various stages of maintenance. In 2014, the family was hit with massive health issues and the gardens were put on the back burner. I am still working to reclaim them and enhance them. There is plenty of outdoor parking by the barn, the garage and behind the house if you need handicap access to the upstairs. Handicap access to the downstairs listing is through the garage.
The road is about 1.5 miles long and this property is in the middle of it. There are only 7 houses on this road and all the neighbors are friendly but tend to keep to themselves. The Oregon community is a friendly, small town, that is safe and fairly boring. There is an amazing coffee shop called The Firefly in downtown Oregon and right next store is the local yoga studio, The Inspired Mat. Only 25 minutes from Madison, the UW-MADISON and State Street. Travel times may vary. There are so many things to do within 100 miles, I could write a book. If you love the quiet outdoors, this is the place for you.
  • What you can expect is a very clear and precise description of the property. The Best of hospitality, and genuine concern that all your needs are met. And her pets are a pleasure to meet.

  • Renee has such beautiful home and provided us with such a warm, welcoming, wonderful place to get away from the city for a weekend! I cannot stop gushing to my friends about the location, all the quirky/thoughtful touches, and her hospitality. Wish we could've stayed longer, just to spend more time in such a peaceful location (with her adorable pets!) and maybe even learn a few horse riding lesson from Renee! Next time we plan a trip back up to Madison, we'll definitely check to see if she has an open room first.

  • Unexpected gem in the upstairs of a 19th century hotel with 21st century amenities . Would be a great quiet stay for anyone using bike or atv trails , or visiting Madison . Broadhead is quiet & safe and still has its small town charm & plenty of food & shopping. Spotlessly clean , quiet , charming , what else could you want ?

  • Room was comfortable, very clean and located near some good local restaurants.

    Judith2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The rooms were immaculate, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was quiet and a great place to relax after a busy day. The common area with kitchen was light filled and we only wish the weather had been better so we could have enjoyed our coffee on the outdoor deck.

  • Great location near bike trails and New Glarus brewery. The scenery driving to and from this location was also beautiful. Clean and cozy room that was also updated and comfortable. We really enjoyed the kitchen area. We will recommend this to family and friends

  • Very clean and well decorated. Fibs restaurant down the street is wonderful.

    Mary2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The rooms were very nice and priced very favorably. We would recommend this property to others as a way to experience small town Wisconsin.

  • Diane's place was amazing. I booked the stay for my mom on her 60th class reunion. She said the place was awesome and she was very comfortable. She will probably stay again for her 65th class reunion!

A very private and quiet rural setting just 20 minutes from Madison and the Epic campus in Verona. Well kept and clean with numerous flower gardens and outside decks to lounge on. The home is very spacious with sitting areas in the sunroom, living room and kitchen area. A desk and office space if you work remotely. Located on a 360 acre farm and bordered by the 2000 acre Badfish Creek Wildlife Preserve. Also available as a 3 bedroom
This property is also listed as a 3 bedroom property. AirB&B won't let me list it with those options. If you need a little more or a little less space see one of those listings. If you book it as a 1 bedroom it's possible there may be other guests in the other bedroom. Either way, there is plenty of room for everyone.
This is a rural property located between Oregon and Stoughton, WI each 6 miles away. Madison is 20 minutes away.
  • Bob is a very accommodating host, interacts as much or as little as you want, and has a beautiful, welcoming space that is serene.

    Jason2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, and a welcoming atmosphere.

    Margie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely old farmhouse with a lot of warmth and artful touches. The surrounding grounds offer a quiet place to relax and sit outside. A great place to rest and destress! Bob is a kind and considerate host.

  • My husband and I were working remotely, and looking for a place with quiet, strong wifi, and all the comforts of a home away from away and a retreat. Perfect.

    Sunny2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Bob’s house is amazing! There are gorgeous, picturesque views of surrounding farm land. And the home itself is impeccably clean and wonderfully decorated. The host is gracious and kind, and he might even help you fix your car if you’re having car problems like we did! Hahaha I would definitely recommend this airbnb to other travelers, and I would stay here again myself!

    Kelly2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great host and beautiful place

    Amanda2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This property is great for folks who want to get out of the city and enjoy true peace and quiet. The house is at the end of a lane, and there are no other roads in sight, so it is very serene. Bob has a ton of bird feeders and a beautiful covered porch, so this is a really nice place for birders. It’s also an easy drive to Madison. Bob is an easy-going host. Although he lives there, he gives his guests plenty of space.

    Mercy2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bob' place is located in a secluded area, it's a perfect place to stay if you want to visit Madison but do not want to stay in the city. It is peaceful and beautiful! Bob was a very nice and gracious host and made us feel at home. This is his home and he does stay on site while you are there.

  • This is the second time I have stayed at Grove Guest House, and I recommend it thoroughly to anyone visiting the area. The building is restored beautifully, and you can appreciate the high ceilings and original architecture without the drafts and leaks. The suites are both spotlessly clean, have clean, high-quality towels and sheets and big, comfortable beds, and excellent WiFi. On my second trip I found the suite to be a little cold, called Nancy, and she was there in literally five minutes with a space heater. She could not have been more gracious and responsive.

  • We stayed at Bridget's house while going to the CrossFit Games in Madison. I was worried we'd be far away, but it was the easiest drive ever. The grocery store in Oregon had everything we needed. The house was wonderful with plenty of space! I highly recommend!

    Brandi2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Bridget's place was very cozy and very warming. We stayed during a very cold Christmas. Everything was clean and comfortable. Bridget was very quick to answer any questions that arose. She was very friendly and responsive. We had a wonderful stay and will look into staying at Bridgets again should we return.

    Craig2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
