A beautiful self-contained Cotswold Coach House B&B, this is a great base to explore the Cotswolds & local attractions. We are happy to help with recommendations. Bathroom with a Roll-top Bath and second Shower room Continental Breakfast is provided for your first night. rate is based on 2 people sharing a room. B&B comes with extra facilities including a small kitchenette/living area to enjoy your breakfast. *If coming by Train to Moreton, you will need to book a Taxi for a 5 minute journey.
A beautiful self-contained Cotswold Coach House with room to relax and enjoy your stay. The front door leads into a kitchenette and a small sitting room and you have a downstairs small shower room with a good sized shower. Staircase leads up to the bedrooms and hallway links the two bedrooms and and bathroom, with a lovely roll top bath. This Is Bnb, a base to explore the Cotswold The kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge, 2 ring hob and microwave. It is a small kitchen area for heating up food. Small sitting room with tv. The Bathroom features a stylish Rolltop bath. The first Bedroom has a super comfy double bed, decorative furniture. The second Bedroom can either be made up as a double or two single beds. All of your bed linen and towels will be provided. I provide breakfast for the first morning, Tea, coffee, milk, Juice, butter, jam and croissants. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine. It is a private self-contained coach house and you will be the only guests. Please come and go as you wish. Strictly no smoking in the building. I run a quiet Beauty Salon in my garden, please inquire if you would like to book in for a treatment! Guests also have access to the terrace, so you can sit outside and enjoy refreshments looking out across the glorious countryside views. No public transport from the village, but taxis easy to book. Lovely walks to some great pubs and Chastleton House (National Trust) Moreton in Marsh Train Station 4 miles away - Direct links to Oxford and London Paddington. I
The neighbourhood is picturesque, steeped in history & very safe (since the English Civil War of the 1640's was concluded!) The Cotswolds is filled with lovely places to dine out - there is a nice village pub, The Red Lion, within walking distance. Please just ask for any recommendations of places to visit during your stay. Chastleton House is a mile away & described as the finest example of a Jacobean Country House in England. Little Compton has a Stunning Manor House with Saxon/Norman Church adjoining. The Walks from The Garden Room are spectacular, for example, an hour & half walk through fields will take you to Long Compton & another Red Lion for lunch perhaps?.. equally fabulous food. Traveling further afield by car or taxi, you have Moreton in Marsh, Chipping Norton, Stratford Upon Avon, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Woodstock & Blenheim Palace, Cheltenham, Oxford, all under an hour to get to & all beautiful towns.

    This 300 year old cottage has an abundance of period features, is comfortably furnished and well equipped. There are 2 double bedrooms +single fold down guest bed and a child's cot. The beautiful village of Kingham is just a 30 minutes from Oxford and 90 minutes from London Paddington.
    The village was voted "England's favorite village" by Country life magazine and by the Sunday Times newspaper, as one of England's best places to live and most fashionable place to live in the UK, it has its own station with services in to London Paddington (90 mins) and Oxford (30 mins), there are two great traditional pub's/restaurants in the village, the Michelin star Wild Rabbit pub was voted pub of the year 2015 by the Michelin Guide and reviewed by the Daily Mail as England's poshest pub. The Kingham Plough is an award wining gastro pub, reviewed by the late AA Gill, the former Sunday Times food critic....." the kitchen is a serious restaurant work place. The bar menu is as fine as any Ive seen, any one thinking of opening a local pub restaurant should come here and see the gold standard ". All are within a short walk from the cottage. Also near by is the renowned Dailsford organic farm and spa. The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside, great for long walks and being the very hart of the Cotswold's, close to many places of historic interest.
    Great little village, nestling in the very hart of the Cotswold's, one of England's areas of outstanding natural beauty and historic significance, there is a local village shop/post office, were you can get cash back over the counter, 3 great places to eat or just have a drink, all have nice outside spaces to enjoy in the sunshine and log fires, lovely village green with small play area and public transport. SO A CAR IS NOT ABSOLUTLY NECESSARY.

    A cosy Shepherd Hut, named Ronald, set in 60 acres of tranquil Cotswold countryside. Glamping at its finest with all the comforts of home in the great outdoors. Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is home to over 30 much-loved horses and ponies. Horse riding experiences are available whilst you stay. The perfect location for couples, adventurers and equine enthusiasts.
    Camping may not be at the top of everyone’s list during the winter months but Ronald is a very reasonable alternative. We’ve kitted him out with hot and cold running water, heating and electricity too, so you can relax and enjoy all of the comforts of home, in the great outdoors. Ronald has a comfy fitted double bed, with storage underneath and all of your bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchenette is stocked with crockery and cutlery, a kettle, an electric single hob, toaster, fridge and sink. There is private seating outside your hut with beautiful views surrounding. Great for stargazing and the sunsets at the farm are beautiful. During the winter months, radiators will be added to keep you warm. There is a heated shower room a short walk (25metres) from the Huts in a blue cabin. Here, guests have shared (max 4 guests at any one time) access to a shower, WC and sink. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers! We have two huts available at Durhams - great for group trips! Apologies, we do not accept bookings for young children (under 10) and/or pets. Wifi is not available in the Hut but can be accessed on the farm all day. Visit the riding school reception to connect your device.
    Our Shepherd Hut is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. Stratford upon Avon, Cheltenham and Warwick are both within a 40 minute drive. There are miles of bridleways and footpaths to explore in the surrounding area and some great local pubs and restaurants. Daylesford Organic is 3 miles away too and well worth a visit whilst you stay.

  • Myself and my partner stayed in “Ronald” and I can’t recommend it enough! Parking was plentiful, check-in super easy, the amenities were clean and everyone around the site was very friendly. It was a little muddy on the yard so take wellies in rainy weather, but the hut itself is very cosy, warm and safe, and had lots of thoughtful touches such as blankets, hot water bottles and even little games to play when we were indoors. We got to wake up to stunning views over countryside and of Chastleton house, and the farm has plenty of animals to see! Really enjoyable couple of days, thank you 😊

  • Small and cosy hut in a field next to a farm and riding centre. It is winter and I went with my toddler but it was so warm. Little portable stove, fridge,kettle and toaster were great to cook on. We arrived at night and woke up in the morning to pretty view of fields and the sound of ducks, chickens and guinea fowl running around. Lots of outside space to play though it was too wet when we were there. Best thing for us was popping into the horse riding centre 30m away and having a couple of little rides for my kid (additional cost) The guys were brilliant and it was lots of fun. I’d definitely come again! Bathroom is in the horse riding centre but v clean and private for the 2 huts. Take a torch and wellies!!

  • Jenny's room is a small annexe just a few feet from her own house and is accessed via the same gate. It is in a beautiful quiet village and is only 2-3 minutes drive from Stow-On-The-Wold. Although car parking is right outside in the pub car park it felt and was very secure. The pub is called The Horse & Groom is a typical country pub with good hospitality and good well priced food. Jenny's room is very clean with nice touches with hot drinks and snacks included. The room and bathroom are not big but do not need to be as it easily caters for 2 people. The location is very good for a quiet time away

Conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh, with direct train links to Oxford and London. Durhams Farm is the perfect location for couples, adventurers and animal lovers.
    You enter the Stable apartment via a wooden staircase, which leads into the open plan kitchen / living area. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, iPod docking station and oven with hobs. The living area has a TV/DVD player and lots of information about the local area. This space then leads into the cosy bedroom with king-sized bed and then on into the bathroom with wardrobe, sink, bath and WC.
    Our stable apartment is set in a stunning part of the Cotswolds within easy reach of picturesque towns such as Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. There are miles of bridleways and footpaths to explore in the surrounding area and some great local pubs and restaurants. Daylesford Organic farm is 3 miles away too and well worth a visit whilst you stay. The Farm is home to over 30 horses and ponies, lots of rare breed ducks and chickens and a few friendly dogs and cats.

  • Wonderful relaxing space about 15 minutes outside of Kingham. We had grand plans around the Cotswolds but the space was so cosy and inviting we loved being inside with the Fire! For winging and dining The Wild Rabbit and Kingham Plough are a must as well as The Chequers in Churchill. We enjoyed buying all our food for the weekend from Daylesford which is gorgeous and the kitchen in the apartment has everything you would need. Further afield Burford Garden centre is a must as well as the lovely villages of Broadway, The Slaughters, Bibury and Stanton.

There are several footpaths from the village, and two national cycle routes pass through the village, making this an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. At the end of the garden is a useful utility room, which contains a washing machine, two tumble dryers, and a freezer, as well as a shower cubicle, toilet and wash basin. The utility room is perfect for cyclists or walkers returning from a day out in the countryside, and three adult bicycles and helmets are provided for guests to use (at their own risk). Free parking is available within 50 metres of the cottage, adjacent to the village green. Upon arrival, luggage can be unloaded adjacent to the village hall, approximately 20 metres from the cottage.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

The Space Evenlode is a sleepy rural village, set in the heart of Cotswold countryside. The village is surrounded by fields but easily accessible to two well-known historic market towns. The Nook is located centrally within this picturesque village just off the village green down a private path. This detached single storey self-contained property has everything you could need during your stay all located on one level. Stepping through the ‘stable door’ on to the stone floor there is plenty of space to hang your coats and if you have been exploring the many local footpaths it’s a great place to leave your muddy footwear. Once inside the main property you will enjoy the open plan living / dining area with views out onto your own garden and private patio. The private outside space is accessed through bi-fold doors to the garden area which provides a wonderful sun trap in the summer months. In the main living area there is comfortable seating options, television with freesat, wifi, a selection of dvds and board games. The kitchen has all you need during your stay, including fridge, oven, cooking utensils (pots, pans, etc), washing machine, and microwave. On arrival you will find a selection of groceries including some locally sourced produce for your breakfast and some complementary refreshments to enjoy during your stay. Off the main lounge area is the double bedroom, with plenty of hanging space and storage.     Evenlode is a quaint Cotswolds village, with traditional honey coloured stone properties and a Norman Church. Evenlode is located 3 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. Village Facilities The village has no local shop or pub however the nearest supermarket can be found in Stow-on-the-Wold or Moreton-in-Marsh and the nearest pub which serves wholesome food and local ales is little over 2 miles away - The walk is certainly do-able! And a great excuse to stretch your legs in the fresh country air! Walking The surrounding countryside has an abundance of excellent footpaths and bridleways. Inside the property we have compiled a folder of ‘things to do’ you will find a few suggested walks for all abilities right from The Nook’s doorstep. Cycling The Cotswolds is perfect for cycling, for those wishing to explore the surrounding area. Evenlode is on the national cycle routes (442 & 48). WE HAVE TWO BICYCLES FOR GUEST USE AT THE NOOK. Horse Riding The Cotswolds is a beautiful area with many wonderful bridleways and / or woodland trails.   • Such a perfect cosy little cottage! Me and my boyfriend stayed for valentines weekend! We cooked dinner both nights with use of the kitchen! Unfortunately the storm kept us inside for most of the weekend but it didn’t ruin it for us! We played the games left in the cupboard and watched a dvd! Perfect place for peace & quiet if that’s what your looking for! Also the little touches of fresh daffodils and breakfast treats were amazing, so thanks again for making us feel at home! We will be back again in the summer to enjoy the area a little more!

Stairs lead up from the hallway into the master bedroom. The following rooms are on the first floor, both with underfloor heating: Master bedroom: This unique room has a stunning church window and a glass balcony overlooking the living area below. This room contains either two single beds or a king size bed, an elegant chest of drawers, a mirror, a writing desk with a comfy chair and radio; Family bathroom: This stunning space is dominated by the original floor-to-ceiling stone arched window, complemented by smart flooring and stylish tiles. It contains a walk-in rain shower with handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. There is free on-street parking a short walk from the property, and there are pay and display options close by if needed.
    Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. As a result of the rather unique geology of the area, water held in the higher layers of the limestone bursts out of various fissures on the slopes and two do still work as wells now. Food & Drink Stow has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. The Inn boasts two cosy bars, lots of open fires and an atmospheric dining room. Hearty food is served during the day, with finer dining in the evening. All food is sourced locally and prepared on the premises; The Bell (www.thebellatstow.com): The Bell at Stow is the perfect country pub. Behind the ivy-clad façade lies a charming, stylish interior with the warmest of welcomes. A favourite with the locals, The Bell is open all day every day offering everything from a pint of well-kept cask ale through to a delicious three-course supper. Stow has a Tesco and a Co-op for regular food purchases and, for special treats, there is a traditional butcher's shop and a number of delicatessens specialising in local produce, including: Lambournes Butchers (www.lambournesbutchers.co.uk): A family owned, multi-award winning traditional butchers, renowned for locally-produced meat, poultry and game, sourced from hand-picked suppliers. There is also a slimline dishwasher, washing machine and DAB radio; Family bathroom: The smart family bathroom contains a bath with an overhead shower, separate handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the dining area to a spacious first floor landing in the eaves, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: A characterful room with an exposed Cotswold stone wall and original oak beams. It contains a king size divan bed, a large cupboard with a hanging rail and an Ottoman with two drawers. The Velux window overlooks the garden below and has a blackout curtain; Bedroom 2: At the opposite end of the landing is the second bedroom which has two single divan beds, an Ottoman with two drawers and a cupboard for storage. The garden is accessed via the back door which opens onto a patio area with smart Rattan armchairs and a matching glass-topped table. Mostly laid to lawn, the garden is bordered by attractive shrubs and fragrant lavender, and two mature trees provide shade in the sunshine. A charcoal barbecue is available in the summer months as well. This attractive outdoor space is fully enclosed, however, young children and dogs should be supervised at all times. The cottage has parking space for two cars in the carport and further on-street parking is available in the village.
    Voted "England's Favourite Village" in 2004 by Country Life magazine, Kingham is a beautiful, unspoilt Cotswold village, with a large open green and some elegant stone and thatch cottages, mostly dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is situated in the Evenlode valley, a short drive from the well known Cotswold market towns of Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton. There has been a church on the site of St. Andrew's Church for at least 900 years, although the present building is a mixture of ages. The font is 13th century, the Perpendicular Gothic tower 15th century, the nave roof is dated 1774 and the rest of the church was remodelled in 1851-3. The church also has a fine old rectory, built in the 17th century. Kingham has two highly regarded pubs, a village shop and is just a mile away from Daylesford Organic, which is well known for its organic food, cookery school and spa. Kingham is also the only village in the Cotswolds that is served by a main line railway station, which provides regular services to London Paddington station.     The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • We loved our stay at the character cottage. The cottage had a really interesting design and the two rooms are quite far apart which was nice to have some extra privacy! The fireplace is absolutely beautiful and so is the location. There's lots of beautiful cottages on the same street with a beautiful church across the road. Only tip I would have is make sure you bring a blanket and some thick socks since it can get a little cold in the winter even with the fireplace. We would definitely stay again!

  • Very cute cottage! We had a wonderful time. A few things to note (per my husband), the doorways on the first floor are quite low - he's 5'11" and hit his head numerous times, and the access to the bathroom on the top floor is awkward - at 5'6" I had to bend in half to get up the stairs. The stone walls hindered our baby monitor from reaching the whole house, but we expected that. It was lovely to get away from real life, and in such a cozy little cottage! Don't go expecting consistent wifi, but who needs it! Would definitely come back (if I could convince my husband's poor head!).

  • This cottage is very special! We have stayed at multiple places and this one is definitely at the top as one of our favorites! Every room has such charm - the stone walls, the black beams, the lamps with dimming switches, the artwork... everything! Our daughters loved their room with the vaulted ceiling and my husband and I enjoyed the master suite. We loved our dinners in the dining area and our breakfasts in the private garden! The location is so wonderful for a visit to the Cotswold. We had no idea how much we'd enjoy this area and how close we would be to so many of the towns! And then to return to the very quiet and quaint village of Wyck Rissington, away from all tourists, and go for evening walks was so peaceful. We hope to return to this wonderful place!

    Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building.   • This place is wonderful! We loved it so much. The village is adorable and quite near everything we wanted to visit. There was a lovely market in the town square the day we arrived. Check-in was easy, the cottage is absolutely lovely and felt like home. The floors were a bit squeaky but we loved it! Unfortunately, we got a flat tire when we pulled in and they weren’t able to bring us a spare (no spares in European rentals for some unknown reason). We weren’t able to get a new car until late the next day. And even though that bummed us out, we couldn’t have had a better place to be lazy in while we waited! There’s plenty of places to eat and a small grocery right around the corner. We drove into Stow on the Wold for dinner at The Porch House (it was terrific!).

    Robin Cottage is accessed via a beautiful, enclosed, south facing front garden, which contains an outdoor table and seating. The front door opens into a good sized hallway, off which the main open plan ground floor rooms are: Living room: a spacious, yet cosy room, with character features including oak beams, a wood burning stove and a lovely antique writing desk. There is comfortable seating for five and a Freeview TV, with DVD player. Oak doors open into a utility room, which includes a freezer and a washing machine; Dining room: Contains a wooden table, with seating for six, as well as a beautiful Welsh dresser. There are French doors leading out to the back garden and a flagstone floor, which runs into the adjoining open plan kitchen; Kitchen: Contains a large range cooker, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and fridge. Returning to the hallway, stairs lead up to a lovely first floor landing, with exposed oak beams and stone walls. Leading off the landing are three bedrooms and a family bathroom: Bedroom 1: Contains a king size bed; Bedroom 2: Contains two 75cm wide single beds, which can be joined together to form a double bed; Bedroom 3: Contains a single bed; Family bathroom: Contains a bath with overhead shower, basin and toilet. As well as the large front garden, there is also a rear courtyard garden, accessed via French doors from the dining room. This tranquil, gravelled area is enclosed (please note that there is a right of access through the garden for the next door neighbour) and contains an outdoor table and seating, a chiminea and a barbeque. There is a storage shed in the back garden, which contains a tumble dryer.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

  • We stayed at Robin Cottage in January 2019 for a 30th birthday weekend away. There were four of us. The cottage was perfect for our trip - it's in a great location and only a ten minute drive to Daylesford Farm and the WIld Rabbbit in Kingham (where we had dinner). the cottage was very clean and warm, with a log burner file and lovely bedrooms. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary crockery. I thought the was very good value for the size and location and would definitely return. thank you!

    Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. Behind the ivy-clad façade lies a charming, stylish interior with the warmest of welcomes. A favourite with the locals, The Bell is open all day every day offering everything from a pint of well-kept cask ale through to a delicious three-course supper. Friday evenings are legendary for the Champagne Happy Hour at 5pm - grab a seat if you can as the weekend gets off to the perfect start! Well stocked kitchen. Very good sized bathroom. Characterful bedrooms. Perfectly located for walks and for the town of Stow. Good parking, near to all local pubs. Nearby main road is not really audible and very handy to have BP MandS and Majestic Wine opposite. Good communication with hosts. Would recommend highly.

  • I visited for a couple of days with my family and we had a wonderful stay. The place is as shown in the images - even better when you're in it. The living space is bright, spacious and well furnished - with plenty of books and games to entertain the family. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you'd need to cater for your family. The bedrooms are cosy with storage and the beds are comfortable. Communication with the host was easy and quick. Checking in was easy as per instructions provided. We checked in during daylight and I would recommend you do too as you may miss the property at night. Highly recommended and my family are already talking about another stay here.

The cottage was very spacious, with very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely open dining/lounge space & very nice grounds outside. The shower pressure was also amazing. The house is easy to find by following Google maps & is within close driving distance to all the cute Cotswolds towns. Daylesford Farm is a must do if you're a foodie, with great restaurants, jams & preserves & a zero waste shop! Coming to the area in November was a great idea as it's not too cold yet, but the colours of the trees were amazing & the pubs are so cosy. We had a lovely time.

Eastnor is a beautiful 17th century property which sleeps 4+2 guests, in three well presented bedrooms, with a family bathroom. This end of terrace Cotswold stone cottage has been lovingly refurbished in a contemporary style, retaining a wealth of character features including exposed Cotswold stone walls, original beams, flagstone flooring and two roaring wood burning stoves, as well as exposed wooden flooring on the first floor and in the eaves. At the rear of the property is a courtyard garden which leads up to the spacious roof terrace, and there is ample free on-street parking close to the property. Conveniently located in the bustling market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, Eastnor is just a stone’s throw from the well-regarded pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes the town has to offer. Straddling the ancient Fosse Way, the town (affectionately known as 'Moreton' by locals) was once an important staging post, and this is reflected in the impressive architecture that still remains. There are a number of handsome coaching inns dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries and in the centre of the town stands the Redesdale Market Hall, a prominent feature on the high street. Every Tuesday the town plays host to the largest street market in the Cotswolds, with 200 stalls selling everything from delicious local produce to leather goods and clothing. The town also has a cricket ground with regular fixtures, and adjacent to this are the Queen Victoria Gardens, a well-maintained park complete with children’s playground. Located in the Evenlode Valley, Moreton is surrounded by the fantastic countryside of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to explore. The Monarch’s Way long distance walking trail passes through the town on towards Batsford Arboretum and the picturesque village of Blockley, home to two popular pubs and a community owned village shop and café.     Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal market towns in the North Cotswolds, situated on the Fosse Way and served by the main line railway from London Paddington. The town was granted its market charter in 1227 and there still is a busy Tuesday market, with about 200 stalls attracting many visitors. Moreton has been a traveller's town for at least 1700 years and was used as a coaching station before the coming of the Oxford to Worcester railway in 1853. The oldest building is likely to be the 16th century Curfew tower on the High Street, whose bell was rung nightly until 1860 to remind people of the risk of fire. The High Street has many elegant 17th and 18th century inns and houses, including the Redesdale Market Hall in the centre of the town. Including a comfy foot stool, the living room can seat six people. There is also a Freesat flat screen TV and DVD player. French doors lead out from the living room to the courtyard garden; Dining room: Contains an abundance of character features, including wooden floors and beams, an exposed stone fireplace with wood burning stove, window seat and wall alcoves. This beautiful room has a large oak dining table, with seating for six. There is also a digital radio, with iPod dock; Kitchen: A well equipped kitchen, containing a dishwasher, four ring electric hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine and tumble dryer. A stable door leads out from the kitchen into the courtyard garden. A staircase, with a beautiful oak stair-rail, leads up from the dining room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: Contains a double bed and plentiful wardrobe space; Bedroom 2: Contains two 75cm wide single beds; Bathroom 1: Contains a bath with shower attachment, toilet and basin; Bathroom 2: Contains a shower, toilet and basin. The large landing space contains a day bed and a trundle bed, both of which can be set up, if required, to enable the cottage to sleep up to six guests. To the rear of the cottage is a small, fully enclosed courtyard garden, with an outdoor table and chairs, and a barbecue during the warmer months. Sheltered from the wind, this is a very pleasant space to sit outside and relax in.
    Located in the north Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold is one of the principal market towns in the region. The main feature of the town is the historic market square which used to play host to the annual sheep fairs where, at the height of the Cotswold wool industry, up to 20,000 sheep were sold at one time. The market square is steeped in history and has two features which date back to the medieval period. At one end of the square there is the medieval cross which was erected to urge traders to carry out fair business under the eyes of God, and at the far end stand the town stocks which are found in the shadows of the old elm tree. Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. As a result of the rather unique geology of the area, water held in the higher layers of the limestone bursts out of various fissures on the slopes and two do still work as wells now. Food & Drink Stow has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a wood-fired oven in the restaurant, where you can watch your freshly made pizza cook; The Talbot: Laid back drinking, eating and coffees in a traditional meeting place for the town slap bang in the Square. Sofas, original paintings, rickety old tables and chairs, with staff who are under the threat of death if they are not friendly! White Hart (www.thewhitehartstow.com): A 'boutique' style Inn, which has recently been beautifully refurbished throughout. The Inn boasts two cosy bars, lots of open fires and an atmospheric dining room. Hearty food is served during the day, with finer dining in the evening. All food is sourced locally and prepared on the premises; The Bell (www.thebellatstow.com): The Bell at Stow is the perfect country pub. Behind the ivy-clad façade lies a charming, stylish interior with the warmest of welcomes. A favourite with the locals, The Bell is open all day every day offering everything from a pint of well-kept cask ale through to a delicious three-course supper. Friday evenings are legendary for the Champagne Happy Hour at 5pm - grab a seat if you can as the weekend gets off to the perfect start! Stow has a Tesco and a Co-op for regular food purchases and, for special treats, there is a traditional butcher's shop and a number of delicatessens specialising in local produce, including: Lambournes Butchers (www.lambournesbutchers.co.uk): A family owned, multi-award winning traditional butchers, renowned for locally-produced meat, poultry and game, sourced from hand-picked suppliers.     The Forge is a detached cottage located on a quiet lane, with wooden gates opening into the garden, through which the cottage is accessed. The front door opens into a porch and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Living area: The majority of the ground floor is a stylish interior designed open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with beautiful character features including oak beams, doors and floors. The living area contains a Clearview wood burning stove in a Cotswold stone fireplace, window seats looking out to the garden, a two-seater sofa and a comfortable leather chair. There is a flat screen Freeview TV with integrated DVD player, an iPod docking station and radio, and a selection of DVDs, books and games; Kitchen/dining area: The wooden country style kitchen has been handcrafted and is well equipped, with an electric cooker, four ring gas hob, fridge, slimline dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and food mixer. There is an oak-topped dining table between the kitchen and the living area, with four chairs and a wooden bench; Utility room: A handy room, with a freezer, washing machine/dryer and a clothes drying rack; Shower room: A bright and airy room, with a stylish exposed Cotswold stone wall, which contains a walk-in in shower with a rain shower and a separate handheld shower attachment, a toilet and a wash basin. Stairs lead up from the ground floor to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Master bedroom: A beautiful room with a double sleigh bed, built-in wardrobes and a chest of drawers, with lovely views of the garden and village; Bedroom 2: As with the other rooms on the first floor, this room is entered via a lovely solid oak door and contains beautiful oak beams. There are two single beds and a chest of drawers; Family bathroom: Contains a roll top bath with a handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. The mature garden is a lovely suntrap, with a lawn surrounded by beautiful bushes and flower beds. In the corner of the garden is a lovely seating area, with a wooden table and four chairs, and a charcoal barbecue is also available. There is off street parking for one car and further on street parking is available close to the cottage.
    Upper Oddington and Lower Oddington are traditional Cotswold villages, which together form the civil parish of Oddington. Both villages are very peaceful, being located on a quiet country road, away from the busier main roads of the Cotswolds. Oddington is known for the fine Church of St Nicholas. It was originally a cell of St Peter's Benedictine abbey in Gloucester, which was ceded in 1157 to the See of York and exchanged with the Crown in 1547. The Norman south aisle probably represents the original nave. The church was all but abandoned among its fields in 1852 and has been little altered since. It contains wall paintings of the Doom on the north wall of the nave, dating to the early 15th century, which were whitewashed over in Puritan times, before being restored by a local resident in the 20th century. Scenes depicted include the Acts of Mercy, the Seven Deadly Sins and Pride.

    Newly refurbished cotswold cottage in the popular village of Evenlode. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with lovely new kitchen and sitting room. Nice patio area with garden. Private parking and private entrance. Evenlode is 3 miles away from Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh, which offer a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants. There are several footpaths from the village, and two national cycle routes pass through the village, making this an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts.
    Evenlode is 2.5 miles from daylesford, 16 miles from Soho farmhouse (30 mins). 3.5 miles from Stow on the Wold. 3 miles from Moreton in Marsh. 4.5 miles from Kingham and well known Kingham Plough and Wild Rabbit.

The kitchen facilities include a beautiful Rayburn range cooker, with two ovens and two hobs, a separate four ring induction hob, microwave and convection oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, washer dryer and a Magimix coffee machine (without pods); Sitting room: A lovely, cosy room, with oak beams, exposed Cotswold stone walls and a wood burning stove in a large fireplace. There is a sofa and two armchairs, as well as a lovely writing desk. On the first floor level is a single bed and then steep stairs lead up to a mezzanine level right in the eaves of the cottage, surrounded by beautiful oak beams, where there is a second single bed; Family bathroom: A large, well presented bathroom, which contains a bath with overhead electric shower, toilet, two wash basins and a heated towel rail. The stunning private garden is to the front and side of the cottage, with all the rooms in the cottage looking out over it. There is a wooden table and six chairs in the garden, plus a charcoal barbecue. There is also a small pond in the garden.
    Longborough is a beautiful village of Cotswold stone cottages, set away from busy roads on a hill slope, which looks east over the lovely Evenlode Valley. The village is two miles north of the famous market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, three miles south-west of Moreton-in-Marsh, and sits on the Heart of England Way. The village is best known for the Longborough Festival Opera, which presents a season of high quality opera each June and July. The intimate auditorium seats just under 500, with an orchestra pit for up to 70 players, and some of the most glorious views in England. The village is also home to St James' Church, a beautiful Grade I listed building, which dates back to the 12th century.

  • Hope cottage is beautiful, it is a fairy tale cottage tucked away in beautiful Longborough. The decor is cosey and the log fire is perfect for drinking a glass of red in front of. Logs and Kindle were provided. The Rayburn took a little to figure out, but Chris popped round and showed us how it was done. Close to the many of the iconic villages in the north Cotswolds. And a local pub which offer a Christmas dinner option. This place is perfect to get away and relax.

  • We highly recommend booking Hope Cottage! There are many wonderful cottages in the Cotswold's to book and I ended up selecting Hope because the pictures depicted old world charm, comfort, space and walking distance to a pub. We have never rented in the Cotswold's before and I was uncertain where exactly to stay. The village of Longborough was perfect and the cottage provided us with all we required and then some. Communication was excellent, parking and entering the cottage was easy. We were welcomed with a few items that were greatly appreciated! I was excited to invite some family to visit and stay with us throughout the week. We had great weather and all enjoyed a bbq and walk around the village. We visited the pub numerous times with family and always felt welcomed and a part of the village. The comfort & space that the cottage provides is perfect! The hiking from Longborough is fantastic; short & long hikes. It is also a very easy drive to Stow, Bourton-on-the-Water & Slaughters which a great places to visit. We did enjoy a day of village hopping and always loved getting back to Hope Cottage - our home away from home for the week. You will not be disappointed - book!

    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

Kingham itself is the quintessential Cotswolds village benefitting from two amazing pubs...we can highly recommend both; we frequented both for dinner and The Kingham Plough does a fantastic breakfast and is only two minutes walk away! If you do decide to stay in the area we can also highly recommend Dalesford Farm, we found a reason to drop in every day of our stay...either for tea and cake, picking up some fantastic food or for breakfast on our last day before setting off home.     Originally known as Edwardstow or Stow St Edward after the town's patron saint Edward, the town's church is also named after him. The church is just 100 yards from the town square and is a lovely place for locals and tourists alike to get some peace from the bustling market square. The north door is guarded by two yew trees and is a focal point of the town. Stow has traditional narrow alleyways, or "tures" as they were once known, which wind their way through the centre of the town. It is these same alleyways that were once used to channel the sheep to the fair. Another point of interest in the town is the well in Well Lane which is now a Grade II Listed Building. As a result of the rather unique geology of the area, water held in the higher layers of the limestone bursts out of various fissures on the slopes and two do still work as wells now.

  • We had a lovely stay at the Spa changing room. The cottage is cosy and is full of character. We took an advantage of the fireplace every night (and there was enough log supply for 3 nights). There was a clear instruction as to how to set the fire and how much log to put in which was really helpful. The two double bedrooms were super comfortable to sleep in and the single bedroom was cute, perfect for 1 adult to stay. My favourite was the bathroom. It was modern and clean. After a long walk around the countryside, a long, hot bath was a god send. We went to Stow-on-the-wold and Bourton-on-the-water. We did a 16 K loop to Bourton-on-the-water which was fun. I would definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful cottage.     Shenley is peacefully located at the end of a short lane, overlooking Broadwell's village green. The main entrance is at the back of the property, into the kitchen, and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Kitchen/dining room: This modern, well presented room has a professional electric cooker with two ovens and a five-ring induction hob, an American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser and filtered water tap, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and washing machine. There is also a large wooden dining table, with seating for six; Living room: This stunning room is full of character features, including oak beams, a stone mullion window, and a stone fireplace with a wood burning stove, as well as a selection of classic artwork. There is a three-seater sofa, three arm chairs and a window seat, plus a flat screen TV with a basic Sky package and a DVD player: Cloakroom: contains a toilet and wash basin; Stairs lead up from the rear of the living room to the first floor landing, off which are the following rooms: Bedroom 1: This characterful room looks out over the village green and contains a double bed, an upholstered arm chair, and walls adorned with antique pictures; Bedroom 2: Two steps lead down into this charming room, with an ornamental fireplace and two large single antique brass beds; Family bathroom: This modern room has a large walk in shower, with a rain drop shower head and separate handheld shower attachment, heated towel rail, toilet and wash basin. Further stairs lead up from the first floor to the second floor: Bedroom 3: A beautiful eaves room, with oak beams and a stone mullion window, which contains a super king size bed. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, which contains a free-standing bath with a handheld shower attachment, toilet and wash basin. Outside the front of the cottage is a lawned area, with a bench and a table, which has lovely views towards the village green. There is also a courtyard area at the back of the cottage, with a table and six chairs. Off street parking is available for two cars.
    The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
  • Wow. What an amazing place. The house was stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. Going in march is always a risk with the weather but we had a couple of nice days so we got to explore the local area. Stow and Bourton on the water are beautiful. Loved our time there, the locals were amazing and the Fox Inn pub was a proper village pub with outstanding food and hospitality. We will be back.

  • What a beautiful space, right on the village green! The house is cozy and well-decorated. The host's representative left us a delectable chocolate cake and milk in the fridge. We communicated with the host's representative several times throughout the stay (to get the wifi password and to report a leak) with ease. We were given a late check-out which was really helpful. Staircase is narrow/steep and ceilings are low, so be mindful - but it's part of the "price you pay" to stay in a beautiful, historic Cotswold home - wouldn't trade it!

    In the heart of the quiet village of Bledington; two minutes' walk from the award-winning King’s Head pub. The front door opens to an open-plan living and dining area with a seating area with TV to the right and small but well-equipped kitchen to your left. Stairs lead to a bedroom with king-size bed, plenty of storage in two wardrobe cupboards and a chest of drawers. Upstairs there is a large bathroom with bath and hand-held shower and a utility cupboard housing an automatic washer-dryer.
    Five Bells Garden Cottage is a mid-nineteenth century farmworkers’ cottage which has been renovated to a high standard and offers cosy and comfortable accommodation. Positioned well back from the quiet village street it is a tranquil and restful retreat located in the small village of Bledington in the heart of the North Cotswolds. Garden Cottage started life around the 1860s as an open plan living space with large inglenook fireplace which provided the only means of heating and cooking. A ladder gave access to an upstairs space which was divided into two bedrooms. It was built as a home for workers on the adjacent Grayhursts Farm (now Five Bells Cottages) at a time when there was a significant amount of farming, market gardening and light industry in Bledington. Tenants continued to rent the building until the 1930s when it fell vacant and became part of a local council plan to build more modern homes in the village. However, the Second World War put all such plans on hold and during the war the cottage housed a family evacuated from the East End of London and at times up to nine people lived there – still with no indoor facilities beyond a sink with cold running water and an outside toilet. After the war it remained intermittently tenanted until the 1970s though little was done to modernise it. At some time the ground floor was divided into two small rooms and a staircase built. When it was acquired in 2004 by the owners they decided to return it to its original ground floor plan by removing the partition walls and re-opening the large fireplace. They managed to source some blue lias stone to match the existing flooring, which was sandblasted to remove varnish and paint. The walls and ceilings were re-plastered and a modern kitchen fitted at one end of the open plan living area.(URL HIDDEN)Upstairs the two original bedrooms remain, but one has been converted into a modern bathroom which also houses a utility cupboard with washing machine and tumble drier. The double bedroom is furnished with a super king size bed and has generous fitted wardrobes. Shutters have been fitted to all windows and a fully programmable electric heating system has been installed along with electric water heating and cooking facilities so that the cottage benefits from all modern conveniences whilst retaining all of its original period charm. To the front of Garden Cottage is a south west facing private terrace garden equipped with table and chairs for alfresco dining on warm summer evenings. Deck chairs are housed in the cupboard on the right of the fireplace. Garden Cottage is fully equipped as a holiday home with all necessary crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment. There is a full size oven and a two ring electric hob; a full size fridge with freezing compartment; an automatic washing machine with tumble drier; a drying rack; TV, radio, CD player; hairdryer. All bed linen, towels, tea towels, table cloths, napkins, cleaning cloths and suitable cleaning materials are provided for your stay. There are board games, books, local maps, CDs, DVDs, etc. available in the cottage. Catering services can be offered by prior arrangement, please ask for details and sample menus.
    Bledington is only one mile from Kingham railway station with its regular train services to London, Oxford and Hereford and Worcester. The cities of Cheltenham, Oxford, Stratford on Avon and Bath are only a short distance away and the village lies on the Oxfordshire Way. Situated in the Evenlode Valley and traversing part of the Oxfordshire Way, this scenic village has an attractive green and still retains its 15th century church and Victorian maypole, as well as a popular village pub. On the village green is the King’s Head, a couple of minutes’ walk from the cottage and there are many other good pubs and restaurants within a few miles of the village. Supermarkets and a full range of shops are available in Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton and a village shop selling newspapers is situated in Kingham (2 miles away). The renowned Daylesford Organic Farm Shop is four miles away.

  • The Garden Cottage is just as described. The location is perfect for exploring the Cotswolds , the village is picturesque and peaceful, and there is a great pub within walking distance. Excellent chance to get away from it all! There were lots of thoughtful touches, including guide books, maps, puzzles, games, and basic ingredients for cooking (fresh milk, garlic, salt, pepper, etc.). Gabrielle and Martin were excellent hosts and I would highly recommend this property. One note: the cottage is pet friendly, so might not be the best fit for those with allergies. I forgot to ask, but had luckily brought along my allergy medication.

  • We had a lovely few days at Five Bells Cottage -the ideal spot for enjoying the Autumn colours of the Cotswolds - and a lovely, homely retreat. The cottage was sparkling clean, warm and had everything we needed, and the really big bed was very comfy. We didn't have a car but still found it easy to find local walks, and we really appreciated having the village pub just a few moments walk away - great for dinner and for a drink by the fire. Thanks for a lovely stay.

  • We had an amazing weekend in this cute cottage. The cottage has everything you need for a short stay and is in a fantastic location in a beautiful village. Only 15 min walk to Kingham train station and lots of walking paths to choose from when you get there. Beautiful scenery and the hosts are lovely, considerate and friendly but discrete. Will definitely be coming back!
