Our lovely cottage is in the centre of the rural historic town of Dursley. The Cotswold Way passes through making it the ideal rest-stop. Dursley is also ideally located for commuting to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and Stroud. Our guest room is a cosy double bedroom within our two-bedroomed house, with views over the garden and the chickens - which give fresh eggs daily! We are LGBT friendly.
The double bedroom is small but warm and cosy. Guests are welcome to make use of the bathroom, kitchen and living room, which is prefect to unwind in after a busy day!
We love living in Dursley! The cottage is in the centre of the town although feels like it's in the middle of the countryside! There are great independent restaurants, shops and plenty of walks to keep you busy. Dursley sits within easy reach of Gloucester, Bristol, Stroud and the charming Cotswolds which makes it the ideal place to stay.
  • Fresh eggs for breakfast and a solid nights sleep! Super friendly hosts too 😊

    Sue2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A very cosy cottage in the heart of Dursley and a very warm welcome from Stuart made our visit for a birthday party very enjoyable .

    Nick2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and clean place to stay, with kind and supportive people. Stuart and Ashley are true superhosts.

    Juraj2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stuart's place is a hidden gem - if you want to visit Dursley and be within walking distance of the town centre you could not do better. They have managed to make their tiny cottage accommodate a guest and provide all the usual BnB amenities like a Tardis. All communication was very prompt and comprehensively explained how to get there, park and what to expect. I would not hesitate to return again if I need to stay in the area.

    Simon2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great place , nice hosts. Strongly recommended.

    Juraj2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay with Stuart & Ashley. Really kind, friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and the shower was amazing! Thank you.

    Sian2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • In a great position right in the centre but still very quiet. Stuart is very welcoming and provide a good breakfast including super fresh eggs! Brilliant value. Only one thing worth mentioning. If you're very short, you may have trouble reaching the box where the key is kept. My wife (height 5ft 1in), for example, couldn't reach it.

Oat Cottage is part of a beautifully converted cluster of farm buildings, which were once part of a Granary. Situated in the peaceful rural village of Cromhall, it is perfect for business trips, or short breaks away visiting the local area, walking or shopping. Light, open and airy with exposed beams, the Cottage is comfortable and relaxing. It is fully appointed, inclusive of bedding, towels etc. There is also a separate laundry room with washing machine, ironing facilities and utility sink.
PLEASE READ ‘Other things to note’ IF YOU PLAN TO BRING A DOG - thanks. A cleverly designed studio style space which has been converted to an exceptional standard from traditional farm buildings, dating back over 120 years. There is a lounge/bedroom/kitchenette area, complete with comfy double bed, storage cupboards/drawers, desk, sofa, table, TV, WiFi access, fridge, combination microwave oven, toaster, kettle and all utensils, and a spacious separate bathroom with shower. The Cottage is double glazed throughout, and is centrally heated. Our communal Laundry Room with washing machine, complementary detergent and drying racks, provide all the facilities you will need for your stay. Being single storey, the Cottage is easily accessible, with off road parking immediately adjacent. There is also a charming shared garden, with seating, available for use - a lovely place to sit with a glass of something in the evening and watch the sunset.
We are situated on Cowship Lane which runs from Cromhall to Wickwar, where you will find the local brewery! The Cottage is only a short distance from the historic towns of Wotton-Under-Edge and Thornbury (home of the famous Tudor Castle). Slimbridge Wildfowl Centre, Berkeley Castle, Cattle Country, Old Down Country Park and Wild Place are all within easy reach. We are well-placed for Westonbirt Arboretum, Highgrove House, several National Trust Attractions, Badminton/Gatcombe Horse trials, and various Country Shows. There are many beautiful walks on our doorstep, and we are on the edge of the picturesque Cotswolds. The large shopping mall at Cribbs Causeway is about 15 minutes by car, and it is a short journey to Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

  • Convenient & comfortable base at the foot of the Cotswolds

    Geoff2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Spotlessly clean. Great location for Bristol, etc. Quiet. Warm. Host very helpful and easy to contact if needed. Highly recommended.

    David2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sussanah is a wonderful host and a really lovely person too. The cottages are immaculately clean and tidy. The little touches were most welcome, tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and washing up liquid. Check in was easy and although the host was always available, we didn't feel like we were being watched. Bed and sofa are most comfortable and the shower is great. There are some great walks close by, although we were there during storm Dennis. Despite the storm the cottage was warm and dry. It's obvious Sussanah works terribly hard to maintain her standards. Will visit again.

The Little Barn is a beautifully, sympathetically and stylishly renovated two bedroom cottage within the grounds of a former farm that was once owned by the local Monastery. The cottage itself is spacious and fully equipped with everything guests should need for a truly comfortable and restful stay. In this era of sustainable living, The Little Barn benefits from solar panel energy, a Tesla battery for energy storage and use, recycling facilities and energy efficient appliances and lighting.
The cottage is warm, cosy and inviting boasting a fully furnished kitchen complete with all mod cons including a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Basic condiments (salt, pepper, oil), tea, coffee, sugar, a cafetiere, washing up liquid, tea towels, tin foil, cling film, sponges, dishwasher tablets, laundry materials and bin bags come as standard as does a lovely welcome pack comprising local produce and fridge essentials. Beyond the kitchen and the other side of a lovingly restored archway, is the lounge where guests will find a Smart TV (including Netflix, Prime Video & Freeview Play), an Amazon Echo Dot, a comfortable corner settee that doubles as a bed, an extendable dining table and French doors that open onto a quiet outdoor space. For younger guests, there are books, toys and games. For older guests, there is a chess set and playing cards. Upstairs, there is a tastefully refurbished bathroom, a gorgeous master bedroom with king sized bed and plenty of storage, plus an attractive twin room. Both bedrooms have space for a travel cot if required (available upon request) and both overlook the surrounding fields that stretch to the Cotswolds and beyond. Towels and bed linen are provided including bedding for the downstairs sofa bed and travel cot as appropriate. Wifi is available throughout the property free of charge. Heating and hot water are included in the fee.
The Little Barn is situated at the end of a quiet farm lane and is a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds and surrounding areas. There is no through access hence it is utterly tranquil and a haven for those seeking beautiful countryside and an escape from the normal stresses of daily life. The surrounding fields are a paradise for walkers and the local village of Kingswood is just a short drive away. It can also be reached on foot if the mood takes you. Within Kingswood, there is a handy and friendly Spar which doubles as a Post Office / cash point. Guests will also find a delightful Public House that serves good tasty food, a gym with 'pay as you go' classes, a park and play area, the local church and the remains of the Abbey. There is ample parking at the park with further parking in and around the village. The friendly market town of Wotton-under-Edge is a further mile away by car and here guests will discover several eateries, a butcher, a couple of bakeries, several barbers and hairdressers, two grocery stores, two medical centres, two dentists and an array of local craft, produce, antique and gift shops. There is also a traditional cinema, a Tourist Information Office, free parking, an art centre and an open air pool (open during the warmer months). The pool has recently been extensively refurbished and is a real oasis on hot summer days. The beautiful town of Chipping Sodbury is just a short distance away and the cities of Bristol (30 mins), Bath (35 mins) and Gloucester (40 mins) are all within easy reach. All three cities abound with history, activities, shopping and wonderful sightseeing walks and tours. A particularly lovely way of taking in Bristol is via 'cycle the city', guided or self guided. Just ask Annie and Simon for details if interested. Again only a short drive away and guests will reach the stunning Cotswolds where places like Tetbury, Westonbirt, Uley, Cirencester and Malmesbury are well worth a visit. These beautiful artsy towns and the surrounding villages teem with history and are stuffed to the brim with cafes, antique palaces and boutiques. The Little Barn is a handy gateway to this beautiful part of England. With the 102 mile Cotswold Way on the cottage's doorstep, guests can sample breathtaking views, dramatic gorges, rolling hills, forests and every kind of landscape a person could wish for, not forgetting the abundance of numerous castles, historic houses, country parks, museums and art galleries. The delights of the area are arguably some of the best in the UK and Annie and Simon can offer more details upon request.
  • Very cosy cottage, clean with thoughtful touches, great for the children, good location for nice days out, very quiet and peaceful. Very easy to contact hosts. We had a great time.

  • Gorgeous, freshly presented and comfortable property. We had a great night’s sleep and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved that the owners were clearly available if we had had any needs while we were there, but gave us all the privacy desired. Described as a gem & matches description. Welcome pack was a delightful addition. Already recommended to family for if they are staying in the area and will happily return. Many thanks!

  • Awesome location and very good communication. We loved the place and it was spotless. We cooked our own meals in the kitchen and it was a weekend well spend.

  • Thanks very much for a fantastic stay. The accommodation was beautiful, clean and well resourced. Annie and Simon set up the house for us to just start our holiday with ease. Perfect location for exploring. We visited Tetbury, Chipping Sodbury and Bath during our stay. We would love to return in the summer to fully appreciate the unique outdoor space on offer.

    Michelle2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • In brief: Annie and Simon's place is great and you should book to stay here. It is well kitted-out, warm, and in an excellent location for walks and exploring the Cotswolds. It is very child-friendly. In long: Annie and Simon's place is brand new, and fitted to a really high specification. The cottage comprises and open-plan kitchen-dining-sitting room on the ground floor and two upstairs bedrooms, plus a bathroom (with a bath!). It easily accommodates a family of four, but there is also a large sofabed downstairs which expands the capacity to 6 at a squeeze. The Kitchen is fitted with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay (oven, microwave, pots pans, etc) as well as basic ingredients such as salt, pepper, etc. Annie also kindly provided us with some fresh local bread, butter, eggs and cake. There is a dishwasher and washing machine with more than enough tabs for a prolonged stay. The cottage is well-equipped for little ones. There are plenty of books and toys inside and lots of grounds to explore. There is also a booster seat and plenty of children's cutlery, plates, cups etc. Annie kindly put a guard rail on the bed for our son, and special bed linen for children - a nice touch. The living room has everything that you might expect: a TV, corner sofa, and some games. The TV has access to Netflix and Amazon Prime, and there is access to an almost infinite amount of music with Amazon Music. Annie and Simon are on site - as well as some other lodgers, but the accommodation is very private, with views facing away from the other accommodation, looking over fields. Annie is quick to respond to any queries, but let's you get on with enjoying your time in the accommodation. The accommodation is set far back from the road, on part of a farm estate, amongst fields and trees. Kingswood is about 1 km away, along field paths, and it is easy to carry on to Wotton-Under-Edge. There are local amenities, but it is the countryside and things are spread out a little! A car (or bicycle) is essential. There is a comprehensive directory of local amenities at the lodging. In summary: you will not be disappointed booking here.

Originally the village police station which has now been converted, the accommodation comprises bedroom, shower room, separate toilet and fully fitted kitchen/dining room with patio doors opening onto a sunken garden with seating area. There is a parking space to the front which overlooks period properties and the castle beyond and there are fields to the rear. It is ideally situated close to the castle and there are a selection of pubs, shops and take aways close by.

  • Very nice stay in a quiet and convenient house, just in front pf Berkeley castle. Jo has been a nice host with great hospitality. Many thanks.

    Nicolas2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jo gave us a very warm welcome when we visited Berkeley to celebrate my nieces wedding at the castle. She was very helpful directing us round her beautiful village and her place is ideally situated close to everything. We had a comfortable night at the Old Police station and everything was spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed the fresh homemade bread Jo provided for us in the morning. A lot of care was put into making us feel at home. Thanks Jo.

Light airy outside room in the garden with a separate entrance. The room has double bed, with a separate shower and toilet. Available for the guests is a microwave, small fridge and kettle with an assortment of tea and coffee. Cereal and fruit are available in the room for breakfast. Home cooked vegetarian breakfast (£4.00) can be ordered. Off road parking is available and access provided via a side gate to the room. WiFi is available and there is a TV in the room.
This is a room that is separate from the house and you have your own side entrance to the room. There is a small patio out the back of the room and with fields and woodlands nearby, we are within walking distance from good woodland walks. Dursley is one of the routes on the famous Cotswold Way walk, which is one of England's finest National trails. Cam and Dursley train station has hourly trains to Bristol, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Dursley has two Indian restaurants that are eat in or takeaway, a couple of Chinese takeaways and an Italian restaurant. Good local pubs and 15 minutes away the Electric Picture House in Wotton-Under-Edge. Stroud is a popular market town 15 minutes drive from Dursley where interesting and quirky events are hosted throughout the year.
The room is detached from the house which is a 1940's semi-detached property on an older estate situated between a red brick school and park. The back of the property borders fields with an outlook onto the woodlands. These woods have many walks and run for miles around Dursley and along to the next village.
  • A great value for money accommodation that is a short walk into Dursley. Margi made the process easy and straightforward. We will definitely use her again in the future.

    Helen2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • How understated, described correctly as a room in the garden, however it felt much more than that. Very comfortable bed, nice thick towels, warm (I actually turned the heating off in February) and cosy. Shower room was spacious and spotless and although no kitchen as such, with a fridge, microwave and kettle you don’t really need much else. I would recommend and I will be back!

The Cider House is a spacious and comfortable home opposite the Village Green in Cromhall, near to Wotton-under-Edge on the southern fringe of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire. The village is conveniently located for the M5, with J14 approx. 10 mins by car, and the A38 a similar distance. Easy access to local market towns of Thornbury and Wotton-under-Edge, as well as to Bristol and Bath. The barn is next door to our home but entirely self-contained and private with parking for two cars.
The Cider House is a converted barn on what used to be a working farm. The building dates from the late 18th Century and for many years was used to brew cider - a traditional West Country drink !- from local orchards, up until the mid-1980s when our family moved here and made it our home. The house is renovated to high standards with modern features and finish. The ground floor has a large kitchen and dining area, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher. The ground floor has a bedroom with en-suite/shared shower room, with steps to the living room with woodburner stove. Stairs lead to the upper floor where there is a further bedroom and second living space which can be used as a sleeping area, as well as a further bathroom. There are also two outside patio areas. The house has beautiful and uninterrupted views of the local countryside.
Cromhall is a quiet village in South Gloucestershire, located near to the southern edge of the Cotswolds to the North, and to the South the vibrant cities of Bristol and Bath. The village has a village pub, the Royal Oak, and a pretty church. There are also country walks and footpaths across the local lanes and fields, and Cromhall Diving Centre. The Avon Cycling Path passes through Cromhall. Nearby villages include Tortworth (where Tortworth Court Hotel is located, previously the country home of the Earl of Ducie), and which also has a pretty Church, as well as a farm shop for the Ducie Estate, which sells locally produced food and has a pleasant cafe. Wotton-Under-Edge is a pretty Cotswold market town less than 5 miles away, where there are several pubs and restaurants, as well as takeaways. Thornbury is also nearby, famous for a castle (now a hotel) where Henry VIII stayed. Other interesting attractions nearby include Berkeley Castle, Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Westonbirt National Arboretum. Gloucester has Gloucester Cathedral and the docks area. The entire region is famous for its walking and horse riding opportunities. Bristol is the largest city in the South West and is around 15 miles away. There are many attractions in Bristol, including Bristol Docks and Waterfront, many museums and galleries, and plenty of high quality bars and restaurants. Bath is also around 23 miles away with its Roman Baths, beautiful Georgian architecture and attractions.
  • Karen and Kevin were fantastic hosts, the house is beautifully furnished and fitted and very comfortable. They have thought of so many extra special touches, like generous provision of groceries, toiletries, fire making facilities and beautiful plants around the house. They were just next door so were prompt to come and help with anything extra we might need but left us to our own devices. Thanks so much Karen and Kevin!

    Emma2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Everything was perfect! If we visit the region again, we rent it again.

  • We have just returned from the most amazing, two night stay at The Cider House. The hosts had thought of everything and we loved it so much that we didnt want to leave. The house was so accommodating for us (family of 5 with a 12, 3 and 2 year old). The space, defor and facilities were great along with all the lovely little touches such as toiletries and welcome basket. We were sad to leave! We will definitely return (if you will have us).

    Laura2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing decor, comfortable, loads of extra food and drink provided, just a beautiful place to stay. We took our young children who loved it too.

    Kate2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at the cider house as 4 friends. The whole property was spacious and done up to an amazing standard with first class amenities throughout. The log burner made the comfy living space extra special. We also enjoyed the huge bath. Karen and Kevin made sure we had everything we needed and helped us when needed whilst giving us privacy. After a 2 day break we felt like we’d had a great holiday! We wish we could have stayed longer.

    Will2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the house, the house was lovely- very clean and tidy. The food and supplies that were left was a lovely touch. The house is exceptionally reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again.

    Tessa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend this beautiful country retreat. We received a warm welcome from Karen on arrival who made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We could not have been happier with the accommodation, it’s very tastefully decorated with attention to detail noticeable throughout. Our highlights being the log fire in the lounge and luxurious bath. This really felt like a home from home and we are already looking at dates for our next visit and have recommended to our friends and family. Thanks again.

  • Roses place is perfectly set up for a cosy weekend getaway. Everything from the fireplace which Rose prepared for us, to the lovely fresh bread, eggs and milk that she left make the cottage a really thoughtfully set up location. The location is tranquil, and communication with the hosts was effortless. Would definitely recommend!

    Holly2020-03-04T00:00:00Z

  • Excellent excellent! Beautiful place and great host

    Peter2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rose’s cottage is all it appears to be from the photos. The wood burning stove and the gorgeous bath are very visible star features. What is less obvious from the photos is that you have a well equipped kitchen, so if you wish to cook during your stay, you will have everything you need. It’s a beautiful and comfortable place, where you will feel instantly at home, with the bonus of a stunning stream-side setting. Can’t wait to go back!

    Rachel2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful place for perfect relaxation. My partner and I stayed for a very weekend of very inclement weather, but came back thoroughly completely relaxed, such a comfy bed, relaxing bath, cosy living room and beautiful farm setting.

The Old Pharmacy is a 16th Century House in the small Market town of Berkeley. Both the house and the area are steeped in history. We are a 2 minute walk from Berkeley Castle, Berkeley Church, Edward Jenner Museum and near to Slimbridge Wildlife and Wetlands Trust, The Barn at Cattle Country Adventure Park and The Berkeley Deer Park. This is a great location for walkers wishing to explore the Cotswold Way and cyclists using route 44. If you require a continental breakfast, please let me know.
The room is a pretty, private and large attic bedroom with a vanity basin/unit. The bathroom is on a different level, but is for your sole use. I do not offer breakfast, but there is a kettle with tea, coffee & biscuits in the room, a bowl of fresh fruit and I leave a couple of breaksfast muffins for you. I do have two very friendly dogs (not allowed in the bedrooms/bathrooms). My older Labrador is 11 years old and is the sweetest little girl. My Scottie is 2 years old and needs everybody to love him, so is ultra friendly and loves a tummy rub! I love my old and characteristic house where it’s believed Edward Jenner tested his vaccine on the children who lived here at the time. In the summer, you are welcome to sit in the courtyard garden. There are 2 lovely cafe/tea rooms almost next door who both offer a great breakfast, lunch and afternoon teas. There is a lovely pub/restaurant just around the corner for evening meals. I am new to renting out a room, but promise you a warm welcome. I have my office at the front of the building so am always available but will respect your privacy and enjoyment of your stay.
I’ve already mentioned the famous sites on our doorstep and locally. A visit to Berkeley will find you amidst beautiful countryside, interesting history and very welcoming local community.
  • Excellent host and perfect location. Many thanks!

    Oliver2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Pharmacy exceeded expectations. The location is ideal being just a short walk to Berkeley Castle. Sarah is a wonderful host who willingly stayed up late to welcome us and provided us with great advice on what the village has to offer.

    Ronnie2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a nice place to stay, especially for weddings at the Castle. It's super close to both there and local shops (which is useful for picking up last-minute umbrellas!), and Sarah is a lovely host who really goes out of her way to make the stay a good one!

    Alice2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience with booking on airBNB and it was a most pleasant experience! Sarah was very hospitable and just generally very warm welcoming me into her home. Emily2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect welcome, Sarah is always listening and anticipates all! She makes sure your stay is perfect! Bathroom nice room and very nice! She also takes care of our privacy. Worthy of a hotel and even better than some hotels, thanks to that kindness and taste of decoration. I highly recommend ! If you want to go in the area it is perfectly located and will advise you for visits, ballad, restaurant and parking.

The cottage is is close to Thornbury, and enjoys stunning views of the open countryside.. You’ll love my place because of beautiful tranquil country views with access to stunning walks, yet a stone throw away from Thornbury and a short drive to Bristol and Bath . Thornbury itself is a delightful market town with plenty of really good restaurants. The cottage is light, well-equipped and very cosy. An upstairs living area and terrace make the most of the views. . My place is great for couples.
The cottage is set in a scenic rural location with excellent views of the Welsh hills. It is walking distance (just) to Old Down country park, and to Thornbury. Thornbury is a historic market town (complete with a high street, restaurants, and castle). The cottage is also driving distance from Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds, South Wales and Cardiff.
  • Quiet, peaceful location. Warm and comfortable accommodation in the countryside. Breakfast items and treats were supplied upon arrival. The best Air BNB that we stayed in on our trip, after 9 others in two other European countries !

  • Described as a perfect family holiday home, Garden Annex doesn’t fail to deliver. Communication and check in with the hosts was straightforward and a pleasure, and the location was great too. The home was spotlessly clean, with little thoughtful touches, very comfortable beds and tasteful bathrooms. WiFi worked, and the kitchen was very well equipped. We were a couple of adults with parents, but this home would also be great for children with the animals and play equipment at the garden centre right next door. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay again if in the area.

  • Mike and Apiradee were helpful, kind and attentive hosts. The garden annex is stunning and was an ideal space for our stay. Little touches like extra comfy pillows, toiletries in bathrooms, teas and coffees, really comfy sofa and chair all made our stay a little bit better especially as we travelled from north Wales with a four week old baby. Couldn't say enough lovely things about how perfect it was, would highly recommend the annex to anyone. Thanks again Mike and Apiradee for everything x

  • I had the best time staying at Karen and Gerald's place. It was an great place to stay and was very handy for work commitments. The location was even better than I thought, nice quiet spot by the coast and was very comfortable. The additional for allowing to bring my dog with me was a big relief and amazing. Overall, the lodge is a brilliant place to stay, very easy to get to and providing very nice local walks and shop nearby in walking distance. Karen and Gerald were extremely friendly and generous in all aspects to making my stay even better. I would definitely stay here again in future.

The place also has supermarket and convenience stores near by. It's important to have a car to get around to Cotswolds but otherwise it's a perfect place.

The apartment is part of a listed Georgian property being renovated by ourselves. There are fantastic views over the local area, and we are conveniently close to the local shops and pubs, and very close to the Cotswold Way footpath. With Bristol, Bath, and Gloucester within an hours drive, we are ideally situated for those wishing to explore , or those working for one of the big businesses such as Renishaw, Rolls Royce, MOD, or Airbus. Our house is on an access only street, so is nice and quiet.
Access is through separate entrance on the ground floor, in to hallway with stairs leading to first floor, where there is a lounge, then a step down in to the kitchen, with the shower room and WC next to it. Another flight of stairs takes you to the second floor, where there are single and double bedrooms. Ideally suited for professional persons working locally, or for couples. The single bedroom is suitable for a child. It will be a bit of a squeeze for three adults in the lounge, as there is a two-seater sofa, small table with two chairs. There are 2 flights of narrow, winding stairs in the accommodation.
We are only a few minutes walk from the local shops, pubs, cinema, cafes and restaurants. There is a local swimming pool open in the warmer months. On the outskirts of Wotton-under-Edge there is a farm shop and cafe selling local produce. Bristol and Bath are within an hours drive away, and local train stations at Cam and Yate are 15 minutes drive away. The Cotswold Way footpath is only minutes away from our house.
  • Beautiful location, very well presented and very clean. Tasteful decorated rooms with everything you could need. Lovely historic Georgian building.

  • A lovely, snug flat - beautifully decorated, well equipped, and very affordable. A great base for days out around the South Cotswolds & Avon. We only stayed a few nights, but enjoyed leisurely visits to Bath and the nearby National Arboretum at Westonbirt, as well as exploring Wotton itself, just a short walk away. Only saw Sue briefly to check in, but she was a great host: we had all we needed, including helpful tips for local shops/eateries/attractions, and she was always very quick to respond to messages. The weather wasn't great during our visit, so we didn't really get to appreciate the fantastic views, but were very glad of the flat's heating and insulation. Fingers crossed we'll have a chance to stay again one day while the sun's out!

  • Beautifully clean and well thought out place! Lovely touches such as lots of towels, shoes for walking to hot tub, bottle of Prosecco... it felt very private and was lovely and quiet. Extremely comfy bed and sofa! Great to have all facilities such as 2 TVs, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer. We loved it!

  • Lovely place! Very clean, quiet and just as described. Andy was very welcoming, the hot tub topped off a lovely weekend away! Would definitely recommend to others

  • Lovely place, very clean and modern. Amenities were very good, kitchen is equipped with pretty much everything you need if your thinking of self catering and hot tub was amazing. Andy was a brilliant host, very quick to respond to any queries and gave us very good recommendations for places to eat and places to visit nearby. We will definitely be back!

    Chloe2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this place. It was the perfect relaxing weekend, the barn was very big and had everything you needed. The hot tub was AMAZING! The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s a 5 seater with powerful jets, two people can nearly have a swim. The lighting was cool too. Andy provided come crocs and bath robes for the short walk to the tub from the barn, which was a nice touch. The barn is on a nice, quiet farm and is plenty big enough for two people. A stylish kitchen with lounge, the kitchen was well equipped and had high ceilings. The tv had Netflix and Amazon video also. It took us about 25 minutes to drive to Clifton. Andy was friendly and very responsive to messages. We’d recommend to anyone.

    Pete2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Andy’s, it was a great place and super cosy! Would definitely return. Andy is a great host and helped us out with a few restaurant recommendations :)

Modern, light and airy, open-plan and self-contained accommodation in an idyllic rural setting with cosy wood-burner and views over the old orchard and a babbling brook nearby....enjoy a slice of the good-life.
The Cowshed is a single storey converted cow barn where you can be completely self-contained. The open plan living offers a fully equipped kitchen with island and breakfast bar, a large dining table, soft seating, a double bed with wardrobe space and a separate shower room with toilet. There is a wonderful patio overlooking the lawns and orchard, often frequented by our free range hens.
There is a local Spar shop and a pub that does good Italian food, within 5 minutes walk. The historic town of Wotton Under Edge is 20 minutes walk up the hill or 2 minutes drive. This has two small supermarkets, coffee shops, a selection of pubs and take aways.
  • Rose's cowshed is stylish and so cosy. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and there was a great selection of walks and hikes to do in the area not far from the air bnb. My boyfriend and I loved the selection of games and the wood burner for our evenings. Thank you for a fantastic stay Rose!

    Victoria2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning and the Cowshed, incredibly cosy and clean. Rose is a friendly, welcoming and thoughtful host and we hope to return in the summer. Great location for cycling

    Graziella2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay. Rose and Angus were great hosts and everything was exactly as described. It’s a lovely area, very quiet and you really feel part of the countryside. The local pub is within walking distance (with a torch at night) and the next village was easy to walk as well. Definitely somewhere we would consider returning to if the chance arises.

    Chris2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little getaway! We booked super short notice but Rose was so accommodating and made sure everything was ready for us and even left some breakfast supplies and biscuits which was a lovely touch! It had literally everything we could’ve needed like cooking equipment, tea, coffee, plates etc. Was pre warned that the WIFI was down which was only for the first day but the 4G was really good there anyway so this didn’t effect us at all. Rose popped by to say hello when we got there and showed us how to use the fire and told us how to get around. We went to Bristol for the day as it is only half an hours drive away and the weather was awful! This isn’t a negative at all but the only thing to be aware of is if you’re coming in a low car be careful as the lane leading up to the farm is pretty bumpy with a little grass mound in the middle (we just drove reeeally slowly!) but we should’ve thought of this before as it is to be expected! Do not hesitate to book it is a lovely place!

    Emma2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Rose was brilliant in making sure we had all we needed. Indeed little touches before we arrived, lighting the fire, leaving a snack and essentials for the morning were ideal. We arrived during storm Dennis, which meant our plans of walking and visiting local villages weren’t possible... instead we relaxed around the fire. Great stay.

    James2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful accommodation with everything you need included, the welcome pack was a nice touch, both Rose and Angus were very friendly and helpful. The location is great and being on a farm was a novelty! Would highly recommend and we hope to return.

  • Lovely flat in central Dursley which was bigger than expected. Really well located for exploring the town and local area with several restaurants and pubs a stone's throw away. We liked the Dil Raj Indian and El Chico mexican restaurant opposite. It is tucked away and even on the Saturday evening thought the location was nice and quiet and hardly noticed any noise from the pub. There is a free carpark just down the road which is useful (you have to go out for one hour out of every 24h to continue to use it free). Useful information about things to do in the local area was provided as was tea and coffee.

  • We arrived, with no directional trouble, parked both cars in the ample space right next to the property and we’re welcomed immediately by Dave. The room was delightful and spacious with tea and coffee making facilities for an instant much appreciated cup of tea. The room was warm. But with plenty of extra bedding should we require it. I would recommend this property without a moment’s hesitation.
