  • Teresa was a great host. The apartment was beautiful and perfectly located in the city.

  • Excellent place to stay! Clean comfortable, and welcoming.

    Crystal2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous apartment, right in the heart of things. Would definitely recommend booking to stay here.

    Beth2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location with a restaurant and mini mart opposite/down the apartment and places of interests within walking distance. The apartment is cozy and homely and equipped the necessary kitchen utensils and washing machine. Teresa responded quickly when there was an issue with the shower head. No lift to the apartment (3 flight of stairs)which may be a challenge for family with young kids. Would recommend the apartment for your next visit to Florence.

  • We wish to sincerely thank Teresa. A warm welcome to her terrific apartment which was everything we could have wished for. Fabulous location close to everything, clean and cosey. Would not hesitate to visit again. Thank you Teresa

  • Teresa met us right at the door and showed us around the apartment. Surprised us by having the refrigerator stocked with fruit, candy and a bottle of Prosecco! The decor made it so comfy and felt like you were living like a true local. The location was close to all sights and transportation. Best meal of our whole trip was just across the street at Ciro and Sons - amazing Ravioli with Pecorino cheese and pears. My husband had the Lasagne and said it was the best he ever had.

    Terry2016-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • We booked this cute and cozy place for one night and we loved it! Teresa gave us TWO great recommendations for restaurants (both 10/10!! Best cheesecake I have ever had!) and also let us store our bags in her shop after checkout so we could explore Florence! If you are thinking about booking Teresa’s place, do it- you won’t regret it! Teresa and her son are so friendly and greeted us upon arrival, as well as gave us a map of Florence and great tourist recommendations. We had a great time and the place is so clean and comfy. Also, for the morning, Teresa had juice and muffins on the table as well as bananas and clementines. The place had fast WiFi and the beds were very comfy. Thank you Teresa for a wonderful stay. This was my first Airbnb experience and I was very satisfied. Grazie !

  • Outstanding location and comfortable apartment. The host, Teresa, is so warm and hospitable! Florence, and Teresa’s place, was a highlight of our trip!

The apartment is part of a Monastery dated back XII century and it's under the Fine Art of Florence. The room is located on the first floor and it's composed by a gorgeous bedroom with original beamed ceiling and bathroom with walk-in shower.
The apt is part of a Monastery dated XII century and it still preserve the original structure in fact we still are under the Fine Art of Florence. You could still see original column as well portal and capitals. We offer the entire first floor, divided by stairs and a beautiful sliding barn door, it is composed by a kingsize bed with private bath and walking shower and with an amazing beamed ceiling (where you could still see a car paw). The bedroom has 2 windows and the bathroom has a window too. We provide a dock station in the room and DVDs player with a wide selection of movies.
The area is the perfect location if you wish to be surronded by gardens, in fact, Settignano and the hill of Fiesole are just next to us. I'm used to go work in the city center by bike and it's about 15 - 20 minutes of ride from the main attraction: the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery.
  • We stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas. What a wonderful family. Fell in love with them and their lovely cat. Nice location with easy bus transport into the old city in less than 20 minutes. Great Pizza place just a short walk away. Ask Maria Rita for directions!

    Laurie2014-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Maria Rita's husband welcomed us very warmly when we arrived at 9 p.m. He explained everything we needed to know, and the next morning he had gone. We didn't see him again, not even at our departure. Maria Rita we never met. But it was not a problem, we could manage very well in the place.

  • Wonderful stay with this delightful family!

    Laurie2014-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maria Rita and her family are warm, mindful and very hospitable hosts. Their home is beautiful and the room with badroom gives all the comfort in the way as described in their announcement. The old monastery is finely restored and we felt very privileged to stay with this lovely family. The location is outside of the city centre, and in our view very convenient because it allowed us to be part of a more real Florentine neighbourhood (smaller cafes, little osterias, ice-cream shops, local retailers, food markets) which we liked very much. The trip to the center takes only 15min with the bus. In our opinion, we enjoyed the best of two worlds. We thank Maria Rita and Alessio for their warmth and friendliness during our stay. We hope we can return.

    Maria2015-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maria and Gori are the kindest and most gracious hosts we have ever stayed with. They made us feel right at home and went above and beyond to help us out. I can highly recommend this for your stay in Florence.

    Cornelis2015-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maria Rita wrote us a personalized welcome letter to make us feel at home, which was a nice touch and a keepsake for our trip. The interior of the home is true to a monastery style and easily accessible by public bus. Neighborhood safe and quiet at night.

    Michael2014-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy and stylish place. We got our own room and own space and feel just like home in Maria's home. They are very considerate and prepare the breakfast for us every morning:)

    緯倫2015-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Allesio made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was clean and lovely. We loved our stay there. Buses were easy to navigate. Keep in mind when planning a trip to Florence that some museums are closed on Momdays.

    Florence, Tuscany, Italy

Our home has a perfect Tuscan feeling with its exposed brickwork and glass door facing onto a beautiful garden. Located in the heart of Florence but in a very quiet area, a few steps from the Duomo and all the main sights, train station, Fortezza da Basso & the main bus
Our home has a very Tuscan feeling! We are in the central San Lorenzo district, the most historical in Florence, popular for the Leather market and the Central market where you can buy and taste all of our great products. A very typical area! If you are here for vacation or business, our location is the ideal solution for sightseeing or partecipate in trade exhibitions and events. Our house has been recently renovated. It is very quiet thanks to the historic building dating back to 1300, and is comprised of : -a lovely and very quite double room facing on the garden, -a nice bathroom with shower, -a big open living space with kitchen and dining area (sofa bed for 2 people) -a charming private garden with table and umbrella where in the summer it is fantastic to have breakfast, lunch or a relaxing aperitif at the sunset.
  • Chiara is a wonderful host and her apartment is a stunning space that feels very authentic to the area. Tue location is superb. The garden is fantastic -- I can't imagine a better outdoor space. The apartment is clean, as seen in pictures, and we appreciated the Nespresso machine too. She is a great source of information for any questions you might have.

  • Comfortable and beautiful hostel The host was friendly It was comfortable and good experience

  • Highly recommend this gorgeous pied-a-terre, very close to all the sights in Florence. Plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. We had a glorious stay.

    Raul2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Chiara's place was the perfect home for a Florentine adventure! Location is excellent—steps from everything, yet not overrun with tourists like much of the city. And then there's the place itself, which is as adorable as the photos suggest. My girlfriend and I had a hard time pulling ourselves away from hanging out in the tranquil backyard, which we found to be as idyllic a spot as any during our time in this beautiful city. Chiara tops it all off, making the process as smooth and easy as possible! I'd stay here on all return trips, and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

    David2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • It was lovely to meet Chiara and stay in her gorgeous apartment. The location was great and her tips of where to eat and buses to catch was much appreciated.

    Cynthia2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stay at Chiara's beautiful apartment. Perfectly located and only a short walk to most of the cities attractions. Chiara kindly booked a bike tour for us too which was brilliant - perfect way to see the city. Would definitely recommend staying here and Florence is fabulous!

    Amy2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Chiara was a wonderful host with many ideas on what to see and in Florence, I would definitely recommend. The apartment is small but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is centrally located and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. The outside patio is a wonderful place to sit and relax after a day of site seeing. Thank you Chiara for your hospitality.

    Shelley2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really wonderful apartment in central Florence. The pictures don't do it justice. Chiara was very helpful in getting us oriented to the city and offered great suggestions on things to do, beyond the "must-do's".

Beautiful apartment for 4 people, with all the ceilings covered by original frescos in the centre of Florence, in a calm street. The apartment has two bedrooms; one with a double bed and one with a very comfortable double sofa bed. The apartment is located close to the main attractions: Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, Galleria Accademia etc. It has also a very nice private little garden.
Tuscanyflorence is located right in the historical centre of Florence, just 900 meters from the Duomo. You will be hosted in a very charming apartment, with the whole ceiling covered by original frescos, located in a prestigious house dating back to 1500! You will find a warm welcome at your arrival and we will try to satisfy all your needs during your stay. The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a kitchen and a fantastic dining hall. Wi-Fi free, sat tv and hairdryer are provided. Our apartment has also a little courtyard facing the Gardens of La Gherardesca. This provides a calm and quiet atmosphere and it is really nice to have such an option being in the centre of the city!
The central location and charming accomodation of Tuscanyflorence will make your holiday in Florence unforgettable. Just next door is the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel where you will find one of the most famous Restaurants in Italy (one Michelin star) and you could also have access to their Spa and swimming pool. Many other trattorias or little restaurants are walking distance from our apartment and we'll give you all the tips. A few meters from TuscanyFlorence you will find one of the most beautiful squares in Florence: Piazza SS Annunziata and in front of us you will find the most ancient botanic garden in the world!
  • We spent three nights in Cristina's fantastic apartment in Florence. My only regret is that I wish we could have spent more time there! This is a wonderful apartment right in the heart of historic Florence. The frescos on the ceiling (originals we are told) are amazing, and the apartment is large and comfortable. The location could not be better; we were able to walk to all of the tourist attractions that we wanted to see. We never used a taxi except to go to and from the train station. It is about a 10 minute walk to the Academia (home of Michelangelo's David), 15 minutes to the Duomo, 20 minutes to the Uffizi Gallery, etc. There was a wonderful open air market in a nearby square, and a grocery store close by as well. There were multiple good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Despite being near the center of the heart of the city, the apartment was extremely quiet and peaceful. It is on the ground floor of a historic building, but it is very secure, with three locked doors one must pass through to get to the actual apartment. The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable. There is a large living room with a full size dining table, a fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, full sized refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker--no dishwasher), a large full bathroom with shower, a large bedroom with a separate powder room, and a sitting room in the back with access to a small garden. There is a washing machine; there is no dryer, but there is a drying rack. This is a wonderful, comfortable, secure apartment perfectly located in historic Florence. Cristina is the perfect host. She quickly responded to all of our questions, and prepared us for our trip there. Her associate, Valentina, met us at the apartment precisely at the time she said she would to let us in and show us around the apartment. She also provide helpful hints for shopping, dining, calling a taxi, etc, and she made herself available for any further questions. She had even bought fresh milk so we had it for our coffee the next morning. We would HIGHLY recommend this apartment to anyone want to spend time in Florence.

    Michael2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cristina was a lovely host. She was responsive and delightful to interact with. We loved her apartment and the location - just amazing. It was the perfect location for walking to all the major sites, cafes, shops, restaurants, etc. I cannot imagine a better place to stay while visiting Florence. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Cristina for your hospitality.

  • Enjoyed our stay in this charming traditional apartment. Peaceful location, with nice bars and restaurants nearby, and additional helpful suggestions of eating places left by Cristina.

    Shirley2015-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is lovely and the hosts are delightful and easy to work with. Georgia was extremely responsive. If you want a large space very close to the center of town, this apartment is perfect for your trip. It was almost too big for the two of us! The location is extremely safe and quiet. I wish we had had more time to spend there! The living room was very comfortable to hang out in, the kitchen had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable (we love the firm mattresses in Italy!). Lots of hot water in the bathroom and it had a spacious shower (by European standards). One thing that future renters should be aware of is parking. The apartment is located in a restricted zone that you cannot drive through during the day unless you are a resident. If you are renting a car, this is not a good location for you. Parking was very expensive (20-30 Euro/day) and there is no street parking late at night. Parking garages are closed from 2am-7am. We had a very early check out time so we had to take our car back to the airport a day early and spend an extra 50 Euro getting back and forth.

    Heather2014-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cristina has a very beautiful (with very Florence like decoration) apartment situated only a 10min walk from Florence town centre. They welcomed us very warmly and we're very accommodating.

  • Wonderful place to stay. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone. I will stay here again when I come to Florence. Such pleasant people and very easygoing. We had a wonderful time in Florence and that was because we stayed here and enjoyed it so much. Thank you Giorgia and Christina. You are great hosts and very professional. Hope to see you in the future. Best Regards Nicole

  • The apartment was really great, quiet and very near to the center (duomo and shopping mall). The apartment was clean and carefully prepared with informations about sights and recommended restaurants. The equipment is extensive, nice rooms with paintings on the ceiling and charming pieces of furniture. We had the possibility to put our luggage before official arrival and to deposit it at the day of departure. In this apartment your trip gets an addditional touch of Italy.

    Naemi2013-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pros and cons mixed. Georgia - Cristina's daughter was super nice sweet and helpful welcoming us and explaining everything. She also presented with us a bottle of wine from Chianti from the family which has the family's- label which was very nice. The apt is nice - A bit dark. it is also elongated in shape if that is an issue for you. very close to the center but a boring walk on via Gino Caponi. Didn't find a close supermarket. Maybe there is one but I didn't see it. The frescoes are indeed beautiful and unique. It was April and the floors were freezing cold so get sleepers or socks. The apt was very very clean. and very very quiet this apt misses its owners touch and styling and the small cute garden needs a fresh touch as well. and a plant which is alive. Larger towels would have been a major upgrade. we got 4 which was enough for two so we used them alternately to allow for them to dry.

Located in the historic centre of Florence lies La Magione, a haven of peace in the midst of a monumental garden, apparently miles away from the noise and the crowds Open-planned, luminous, cozy, stylish bohemian garden apartment on 2 levels, 1 double bedroom, open-space en-suite bathroom (with bath tub -if looking for a shower this is not the right place!) on the mezzanine level, living room with fire place. The appartment is now equipped with WyFy connection! The train station is only 5 minutes away and the city attractions are all within walking distance. no worries about pubbblic transport! for guests wishing to stay longer than one week (7 nights) linnen will be changed once a week.
  • Sabina and family were easy to communicate with and extremely helpful ironing out any small problem. The apartment is lovely, deceptively large and set in in wonderful landscaped garden, quite literally a home fit for a pope. We had a magical time, including the surprise of having Romeo and Juliet staged by a company of young american/british/italian actors literally on the doorstep. I would return any time.

    Carlo2012-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really beautiful and unusual place to stay, access to the family's huge and wonderful gardens, very stylish and luxurious flat!

    Sian2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I just returned from a wonderful 5-day stay in Sabina's unique and beautiful apartment. It's a true retreat in the city--you open the gate and step from a busy, typical city street into a quiet garden oasis. The grounds around the apartment and adjacent houses are beautifully landscaped, full of flowers and birds. The apartment itself is well-equipped and furnished with an eclectic assortment of comfortable and pretty furnishings, as well as family keepsakes, so it's very much like staying at a friend's house. Sabina is a lovely hostess--warm, generous (she provided a welcome basket of breakfast supplies and delicious goodies from her family's estate), and always ready to answer questions. Thank you, Sabina, for helping to make our time in Florence an unforgettable experience!

    Lisa2012-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a jewel in Florence. The place is historic and charming with the stylish, older furnishings that make this home stand out in your memory. The gardens are a treat the even the people who live in Florence do not have a chance to see. The place has fans, roomy interior with several places to hang out leaving the other guest with privacy, too. It has all the things needed in the kitchen but you must use the italian coffee pots! The dogs make it even better when they come to say hello through the kitchen window. I travel alone sometimes, and I stayed here by myself. I felt completely comfortable and safe but also close to some of the best restaurants.

    Cynthia2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • I enthusiastically agree with prior guest Franziska that Sabina's garden loft is "something straight out of the movies!" Behind the high, nondescript walls of a busy street in downtown Firenze lies a tranquil garden paradise. Casa dei Corsini looks over a magnificent expansive garden with stone statues, lemon trees (if not in the grand lemon house for winter storage), and charmingly plodding tortoises wandering here and there just past the kitchen window. There is also the incomparably loveable Zucca, Sabina's wired hair fox terrier, who stole my heart and was always welcome to visit (I so very much missed my own Jack Russell terrier on this extended trip to Italy - Zucca was an excellent adoptee) The apartment is nestled in the opposite corner of the main Corsini Manor on a vast in-city estate I never knew was here. I lived in Firenze for a year in college and must have walked by the walls of the estate a thousand times but never dreamed what beautiful treasures were on the other side! The interior is beautifully done - it's a very personal, charming space with photos, books, and objets d'art that made us feel we were staying with friends who were kindred spirits. Sabina welcomed us personally with fresh cut peonies from her garden (my favorite!) and set us up for a lovely stay with breakfast treats and a bottle of wine from her family vineyard. The apartment is easy walking distance to the train station and you can walk into the city center on foot in about 15 min., but when you return to the apartment you feel like your miles away on a Tuscan farm. A much-appreciated refuge when you've been exploring the city all day. Sabina was a wonderful host, making sure we had everything we needed while respecting our privacy. She also emailed me within hours of my departure to alert me to the fact I have left behind a very sentimental (and valuable) pearl necklace and she worked quickly and diligently to arrange to send it to me back in Seattle. What an angel! I would highly recommend staying here to my friends and family, and we will certainly return when we again visit Firenze. In fact we are thinking of asking Sabina about having a wedding reception in the garden. While we were there, there was a wedding party with about 75 guests and they transformed the garden into a nighttime fairyland with lots of string garden lights twinkling, music and a dance floor. It was so enjoyable (and rare) to be able to experience such a happy festivity in another country - it has become an unexpected and cherished memory of our time in Firenze. Thank you, Sabina!

    Maureen2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The photos are accurate and the place is characterful and practical in a nearby location. The apartment cost more than what we usually spend on AirBnb trips, but it seemed to be the going rate for a good location with outdoor area, parking space at short notice. Personally I wouldn't book this apartment again but I appreciate many people have had comfortable stays here. The garden area really is a lovely feature. We didn't meet Sabina as she was away and I wonder if standards of cleanliness slipped because of this. Access to the parking space is very tight and we damaged our hire car which is our own fault, but next time we'd probably pay the extra fee to leave the hire car in Florence and rent accommodation without parking.

    Leonie2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and romantic Florence setting!! It felt like we were in a secret garden in the middle of the city and was such a nice retreat at the end of our busy city days. The gardens are even bigger and lovelier than they appear in the pictures and the history of Sabinas family and the grounds is super interesting. Check-in was a breeze and definitely felt like we were privy to a very special location.

    Saraya2017-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience with Air BnB and I think we'll be forever spoiled. Sabina met us at the apartment on time and with a lovely stock of essentials - coffee, tea, bread, butter, milk, and fruit. The apartment is better than pictured because there is no way to capture the charm of this lovely oasis that one feels in person. You become a small part of the community of people who care for and inhabit the six acres of paradise found inside the walls in the middle of the bustling city. The fruit on the trees, the dogs playing with their toys, and the roses in bloom are the finishing touches on the "patina" of history you find here. It is walking distance to most everything (including the train station at SMN), taxis are easy to find if you want to venture further, and Sabina's list of recommended restaurants, bakeries, etc., is very helpful. There are neighborhood stores for all your wants and needs, and Sabina is easily contacted by phone, email, or text message should you need her. We will return to Firenze and would not dream of staying anywhere else. We will, however, bring mosquito repellent. Even in mid-November, they're numerous and hungry. Thanks again, Sabina, for a magical trip.

  • Easy is the term I'd use. From the directions to the apartment from the station, to the easy communication to the easy location, this place is just the best. You can't get more central than this, the place is well equipped for everything, loved the tips and the little map. Paolo met us at the apartment perfectly on time, gave us a little tour and we were away. Would highly recommend the place. Thanks again!

  • This flat is the perfect location for seeing everything in Florence! We loved how close it was to everything, and it was surprisingly quiet at night. The stair climb is worth getting to this apartment! I would highly recommend it for couples looking for a nice homy place to stay in Florence.

  • The apartment is everything it is advertised to be. Great location, updated furniture and appliances, great owner communication, etc. We completely enjoyed our experience in Florence and this apartment was a big part of that.

  • The studio was extremely spacious and very comfortable. It was a pleasure to return to after wandering such a beautiful city. The location was perfect for us. We were able to walk to all the mayor sites but were just far enough away from the hub bub to feel like locals rather than tourists. Plenty of great restaurants, bars and pasticcerias on the doorstep. We enjoyed the Oltranto area just across the river, as well. Gian was a gracious host who made us feel welcome without being intrusive. We found the studio to be just as described. We would happily return.

    Susan2015-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • The studio in Frescobaldi Palace is just as pictured. It feels very light and spacious and we loved it. We arrived by train and were running a little behind schedule, but Gian's daughter met us at the apartment. She was absolutely charming and delightful. She took time to explain anything we might need to know and spoke very good English (a plus for those of us who don't speak very good Italian). The area was very charming and just enough off the main roads to keep some of the noise down. We walked around the first evening as soon as we dropped off our luggage and I immediately fell in love with Firenze! We actually walked everywhere the next day, so the location was perfect. It was easy to get to the Duomo, Ponte Veccio, the Uffizi and many other museums....and shopping everywhere. We actually walked back to the train station the morning we were leaving as it also was quite close. Lovely experience overall. The apartment was perfect for two people and the bed was quite comfortable. We were very happy with our choice and thank Gian for the opportunity to stay there.

    Beth2014-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great host, he was there to receive us at the scheduled time, and even helped to reserve our taxi when we were leaving. The flat is outstanding, great location, near the Best restaurants and many of the most importants historical sites on firenze. Looking forward for another visit.

  • I stayed at this studio for three nights and i absolutely loved it. The place looks exactly like in the pictures, it was very big, immaculately clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was really good and we had several grocery stores and pharmacies nearby, which was very convenient. Gian was very accomodating and I will recommend this apartment to anyone who goes to Florence!

  • Beautiful apartment. Right at Piazza Ognissanti, which houses the Westin and St Regis hotels. Incredibly helpful hosts. If you can get booked into this apartment for your stay in Florence, do!

    Valerie2013-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Florence and found the apartment offered a comfortable, centrally located base to fully experience the city. The studio offered all the amenities we needed and the host was friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor very tasteful. There are great spots for breakfast, delicatessens and grocers along this street and extremely accessible to the central Florence SMN train station.

  • Gabriella and Luca were perfect hosts. Luca met us at the apartment and showed us where everything was located. It was spotlessly clean, and very inviting. He also gave us tips on where to eat and how to get to the sites we wanted to see. Their apartment is close to bus stops, grocery store and laundromat. It is on the second floor, so stairs might be a consideration for some. We would recommend this place to anyone and would happily stay there again. Susan J Denton, TX

  • We had the most amazing stay in this apartment. could not recommend highly enough. A small walk to the centre of Florence but we loved it as there was so much to see. Lucca kindly met us on arrival (and even ran down onto the street to catch us as we were walking in the wrong direction!). Everything was perfect.

  • The apartment was clean and enjoyable for our stay in Florence. We were able to cook some nice meals with the well-equipped kitchen. We’d suggest this apartment to others traveling to Florence.

  • Nice flat, near the best place for bistecca alla fiorentina in the city. Easy walk into the central area, and good bus connections to get to train station or airport.

  • This was a fantastic stay in a fantastic location in a fantastic apartment. Lucca met us out the front of the apartment and helped us find suitable long stay parking on the street. Both Gabriella and Lucca communicated well in the lead up to the stay especially so on the day. We highly recommend this stay and would happily stay again. The apartment is close to a supermarket and laundry and has other really cute shops nearby, and is of course so close to the duomo, ponte vecchio, uffizi, museums, sights and attractions, and. Lose it the bus hub on st marks square. Thank you Gabriella and Lucca very much for letting is stay in your wonderful apartment!

  • Great appartment in a nice, non-touristic quarter of Florence. Bed wonderful and big enough for two people. Two very comfortable quiet rooms. Only the bathroom is a little bit small. Big people could perhaps have some problems. Everything one needs can be found nearby (supermarket, café, bakery, restaurants etc.). Five busstops from station Santa Maria Novella. We mostly went by feet to the (Website hidden by Airbnb) took us 15-20 min. Gabriella and Gianluca were very supportive. Great experience. Thank you.

  • Great spot not far from the major attractions. Twenty minute walk or less to Duomo. Quiet neighborhood. Luca gave great recommendations for places to eat, and spoke excellent English. Very accommodating, even when our arrival time changed dramatically. Communication from booking through checkout was easy, and answered timely. Would recommend to a friend and stay here again.

Our two-room apartment can comfortably accommodate 3 people. It is part of a historic building on Via Borgo La Croce, in the historical center of Florence. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen and close proximity to the most important tourist sites.
The apartment is 40 square meters, it is located in an historic building, owned to the monastery of Santa Verdiana whose main entrance is a tabernacle of great historical value. The apartment has been completely renovated in February 2014 and although close to shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife, it is very quiet and isolated from the street noise and inside the maximum tranquility reigns and will help you relax. The apartment can accommodate up to 3 people + baby, and is the ideal accommodation for visiting Florence, staying in the city historic center. Inside is as follows: - Bedroom with double bed - kitchen - bathroom with boxed shower - living area with sofa bed. The apartment is equipped with a flat screen led TV, internet wifi, heating, air conditioning, microwave, toaster, fridge, iror, hair dryer and on request bed with sides for younger children. Apartment is situated at the first floor of the building and to arrive there are 14 steps.
The neighborhood of Sant'Ambrogio - Santa Croce which is part our apartment still has the characteristic features of the Tuscan tradition: the market, the old artisan shops and many points of ristoro where you can enjoy delicious dishes of Florence tradition.
  • Great location and friendly host. As others have mentioned, he offers to book a taxi for your departure. The street was nice, lively during the day but quiet at night. The bed was on the harder side, but that's a personal preference that doesn't warrant a lower rating. Just an FYI to future travelers.

  • It was a real pleasure for us being guests in this lovely appartment of Fabio very close to the city center of Florence. The appartment is big enough for 2 people with all amenities you need during the stay including small kitchen, dishes, microwave etc. The booking and check in was very easy. Fabio was very responsive either by email or (Hidden by Airbnb) (reply always came within minutes). Also the tips for restaurants (dinner, lunch) were great. We liked the hospitality of Fabio very much and recommend to everyone in this appartment who wants to spend lovely days in the heart of Florence. Thank you Fabio for being your guest.

  • So amazing. Made out stay in Florence even lovelier. We were met at the train station and chauffeured to our apt and shown around the unit. Our bags were extraordinarily heavy and they were personally carried and tucked away during our journey. Throughout the stay Fabio was so responsive and kind. Even booking our taxi cab for our departure. So amazed at the hospitality! The apt was so wonderful - clean, airy and with every extra you would think about or need!

    Michelle2017-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio' apartment is fantastic. Clean, neat, well equipped with kitchen equipment should you desire to cook. The Location is fantastic with a lively night scene and restaurants - a few blocks away from main tourist haunts. Would stay there again.

  • Fabio's place is on the edge of the historic part of Florence. A coffee or a gelato , both within about 30 steps of the front door, half the price of in the centre, which is about 10 /15 minute walk. It was quiet at night but when you stepped out the front door there was life. Perfect for 2 on a trip to Florence. Fabio was waiting for us when we arrived and did not hustle us to leave.

Great loft in the heart of Florence
The apartment is located on the third floor of a ‘800 building with a panoramic view on the ”mercato centrale” square and on the San Lorenzo’s basilica with its famous Cappelle Medicee. The apartment has been renovated in 2014. It has the living, the open kitchen and the bathroom with shower at the first level, the bedroom with wardrobe at the second level lighted up from a romantic skylight. The apartment is completely full-equipped with air conditioned, TV 37”, WiFi internet connection, bed linen, bath set of towels, induction cooking, fridge, coffee machine, salt, Tuscany oil, tea and coffee. As all the ancient ‘800 building of the historical center there’s no elevator, to reach the apartment there is a 60 steps stairs, but as you get up to the top you’ll forget about it.
We are in the district of San Lorenzo, in the heart of Florence, the central area between Piazza Duomo and the train station Santa Maria Novella, a strategic position close to all the best sights of the capital of the Renaissance. In the neighborhood is the famous San Lorenzo market with its stalls and the Central Market building where the shops offer typical Florentine products at a good price. You can find craft shops, wine bars and trattorias among the best in the city where you can taste the true flavors of authentic Tuscan cuisine. You can reach us by car from Via di Santa Caterina, and leave the car in the parking right under the Central Market building. The main train station is five minutes walking. It provides access to all the principal connections with the airport and surrounding cities such as Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano, etc ... you won’t need taxi or buses: you can reach every place in the center, we are just right there!
  • Best experience ever! We travelled around the Western Europe and Florence was absolutely our favourite. Annalisa& Leonardo's place definitely contributed to our amazing trip. The wind in Florence was too strong when we landed so there was a pretty bad delay, and Leonardo was able to meet with us at 9:30pm which we really appreciated. He also explained everything in the apartment for us and made recommendations about places to go, which turned out to be helpful. The apartment isn't super big but it has everything you will need, and very well decorated. In addition, everything is walking distance from the apartment. It's perfect for couples. Enjoy Florence!

    Suman2017-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Leonardo met us at the door and showed us round the flat, before providing us with some greatly appreciated local knowledge regarding restaurants and bars. Our hosts also left us a complimentary bottle of champagne which was great! The Loft is perfect for a city break and is in an ideal location for exploring Florence on foot - we'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Thanks for a great visit!

    Thomas2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! Perfect location that is walking distance from everything. Just outside of all the heavy tourist areas so a lot more easy-going. Annalise and Leonardo were sure to check us in and explain everything. They gave us tons of recommendations and were always open for questions. I recommend this over any place in Florence!

    Britton2017-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our time at Annalisa and Leonardo's loft was absolutely perfect! We liked it so much we started calling it "home". The location of the LOFT could not be any more perfect- situated just a short walk away from most attractions in Florence. The place is clean and nicely decorated. Leonardo and Annalisa were great hosts- easy to communicate with and even called us a taxi the morning we left! The stay was perfect. Would stay again!

    Emma2015-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Annalisa and Leonardo's apartment for 3 nights during our honeymoon - the loft is very well appointed, a beautiful, light filled and well designed space. We enjoyed our time here and the bed is the most comfortable bed we've slept in so far in the past 6 weeks! The location of the apartment is perfect, 5 minute walk from the station and restaurants right on our doorstep - Leonardo made some great suggestions! We were also very thankful that we could arrange a slightly earlier check in as my husband was unwell. There is currently some works going on to the apartments facade from about 8am, but our ear plugs drowned that out easily. We would happily reccommend this apartment to anyone travelling to Florence!

    Natalie2015-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent apartment and superb location. Small, but cleverly designed and well stocked with good quality household items and thoughtful touches everywhere. Leonardo was brilliant to deal with. I can't recommend this place highly enough and we will definitely stay here again if we can.

    Clare2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend staying at Leonardo's and Annalisa's apartment. From the outset their response to our communications was prompt, clear, concise and very helpful. Due to changes in our plans we requested to meet Leonardo earlier he expected and he graciously accommodated our request. The apartment was easy to locate with their directions. Leonardo met us and was a real gentleman, offering to take Chris' bag up the stairs. The short climb is well worth it. At the top you find well appointed loft apartment in a fantastic location. Everything well designed and cared for. Very clean and very comfortable. You have everything you need in the heart of Florence and your hosts are available if you need assistance. Our one regret is that we couldn't stay longer and we hope to get back there sometime soon. P.S. I am 6"4' and had no problems with the loft area or the size of any of the appointments in the apartment.

Sweet renovated loft in Florence (10 min from the old city center, served by bus-line), with private parking space, italian kitchen, 2 sleeping accomodations (king size bed), free wi-fi, towels and linen, milk and coffee, all utilities included, plus a local wine bottle just to say 'ciao'. Ideal for tourists and romantic couples. PS: If I will be free at work, I will pick you up by car at santa maria novella train station / Peretola airport (no extra charge)
The house is set in a quiet residential neighborhood, with a typical green Tuscany context (olive trees and grapevines) and a high historical value. The view of the city is majestic, the atmosphere calls to mind the tradition of Florence.
Quiet and residential area, near the European University Institute (EUI). 10 minutes from the historic center by car. Served by public bus lines (number 25 and 40). 5 minutes from Careggi hospital.
  • Very nice flat. Convenient location. Would definitely stay there again.

    Mary Lynn2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! I was worried it would be too small but the space was utilised so well it didn't feel small at all! Also was worried about the distance from town but the bus is so close and if you do decide to walk it is a really nice walk. Marco was an awesome host being so helpful and giving heaps of information and tips about Florence and getting around! Amazing experience I would have again and recommend to a friend!

    Elyse2018-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! It's a tad bit outside of city center, but public transportation is more then manageable and it's definitely worth it! The loft is cozy, with all of the amenities you could ask for. But the real gem in this place is its location: quiet, away from crowds, and nestled up in the hills of Florence with beautiful views overlooking the landscape. It's been our favorite AirBnB thus far and we'd highly recommend it to anyone else.

    Colton2017-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marco was a great host and very helpful. The appartment is small but modern and well equippet. And there is a bus connection to the city centre which took about 15 minutes. The only disadvantage was that ende of August there are so many moscitos around that we were not able to use the terrace.

    Samuel2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This loft ist PERFECT for a couple!!! exactly like in the pictures (even better in reality). Everything was beautifull and CLEAN! Marco was so kind and offered us a free ride from the bus station in the city center (Piazzale montelongo) and brought us to the appartment. And this for FREE! even a bottle of red wine was waiting for us in the loft (this wine was soo good... even my boyfriend who is not a drinker just loved it). The landscape arround the loft is EVERYTHING!!! we were soooo in love with that. Just in front of the loft, you can take the bus to the city center (only 20min to Plazza San Marco). The only inconvenient is that there is no supermarktet near the location. But we found one only 10 min away with the bus (Plazza de la liberta) and we could buy everything we needed. There were already a lot of stuff in the loft for breakfast. Even with no car we could manage everything with the bus. We highly recommand it to any couple who want to enjoy a beautifull time together and enjoys Florence.

    Jean-Marc2017-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Great accommodation that is close to bus to Florence. Bus tickets are bought at the Market where you can get sandwiches and coffee. Marco provided maps and tips on where to eat in Florence. He greeted us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. Quiet at night and a great place to rest after a busy day. He even provided a pasta recipe with all the ingredients to try. Thank you Marco for a lovely accommodation!

  • Best place we have stayed all week in Toscane. Marco is extremely friendly and the loft is amazing. Good facilities and a nice cozy place. The bus is a fine way to go into the city. Definitely recommend!

My studio is located in the historic center of florence on the first floor of the building. It is perfect for couples or 2 travelers. The apartment has all the necessities and is not far from the train station. The Duomo, Piazza Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza Santa Croce and the leather market in Piazza Porcellino are all right around the corner! If you are having trouble finding the apartment on GPS search for Via Dante Alighieri which runs next to the piazza.
You are in the heart of beautiful Florence, right in between the duomo and piazza signoria! If you are having trouble finding the apartment on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, please look up "via Dante Alighieri" it runs parallel to the piazza San Martino.

  • We loved staying in Florence and Alexa's apartment was so close to everything we had planned to do! We would definitely recommend anyone to stay in the apartment, it was so beautiful and clean and Alexa was really great! If you're looking for somewhere to stay in Florence, this is it!

    emily2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Alexa's appartment was a really good experience for us in Firenze. The balance between the location and the prize is great. She has been very friendly. We are a couple and the experience was perfect for what we were looking for.

    Marta2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is lovely decorated and fairly spacious. As other reviewers have noted there are no windows but there is a small one above the door which we left open for some cooler air. There is also an exhaust fan from the bathroom that operates when the light is on. Bring your ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as we had some noise from the partygoers in the street and possibly the neighbors depending who they are. Other than that it's a perfect location for a short visit to Florence.

    Stephen2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was in a perfect location in Florence -- you're in the center of the city! The stone walls were also a really cool touch to the decor, and Alexa was extremely quick to reply and super helpful with any questions we had (especially when we accidentally locked ourselves out). She also let us keep our bags in her boyfriend's shop while we waited to check-in, which was really convenient. We only stayed here one night and while the apartment was cute and central I'd likely not reserve it for longer than that. The amenities list mentions no AC but it got really hot in the room in late September, even though the stairway of the building (AKA right outside the room) was many degrees cooler than inside the room. A free-standing fan would probably do the trick. Also, the description doesn't mention that there aren't any windows, so if you're suffering from jet lag or a heavy sleeper be prepared for it to be tough to wake up in the morning! Overall, I'd recommend it for a quick stay in Florence due to it's very central location and convenient luggage accommodations, but likely wouldn't book it for a long, multi-day trip.

  • Alexa's apartment location was so easy for us to get to all the major sites on our list. There were restaurants and groceries nearby, we had no trouble walking to everything for our 3 day stay, we even felt comfortable walking to the train station with our luggage at the end of our trip. The apartment itself does not have a lot of "extras" that some Airbnb's have like spare toiletries, water bottles or snacks, so make sure you pick some up if you need them on your way. The bed was very firm, and pillows a little thin- it was fine for us for a couple of days, but look forward to our comfy bed & pillows when we get home.

Apartment in central Florence, with a great view of the Medicee Chapels and to the Campanile di Giotto. Quiet and bright, it has all comforts, close to all public transport to all historic monuments. For 2 or 3 people.
The apartment is located on the third floor of a building that has an elevator, it is very beautiful because it was great windows from which you can see the dome of the Medicee Chapel, the Campanile di Giotto and all the roofs of the old city. The apartment is unique, because of its structure and furnishings, it has a double French style bed on the mezzanine, with an attached bathroom and a sofa bed, can also sleep two people on the bottom floor, where you can find the living room, small dining room and kitchen. It has everything (bed linen, towels, plates, dishes, napkins to eat lunch, kitchen, iron, washing machine). The kitchen is big, it has a sink, stove, fridge and freezer, and a microwave. AC and heating. The main comfort of the apartment is that because of its location, a few feet away from Florence's main train station, and all main public and private transport. The most important monuments in the city, the museums and the shopping streets are all a short walk away. It has a full choice of anything you may need, restaurants both typical cozy or elegant.
The neighborhood is one of the oldest in Florence, it is very lively and rich in attractions. A few steps away from the old central market of Florence, in a splendid structure that dates to 1800, where you can find all kinds of Italian cuisine. In the inside streets of the market, you can find the most famous market stalls of the city
  • Absolutely perfect stay! Alda's apartment is located in a very attractive place and she was very helpful.

    Richard2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful experiance and beautiful apartment !! ! I would highly recommend this location!! Such a great host :)

    Anthony2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • WE were ABSOLUTELY thrilled with Alda .....she spolied us. She was so thoughtful...even met us at the station...which we did not expect....and the apartment was STUNNING!!! Alda was so kind...she even took us on a tour in the evening...we could not fault her....she is THE most delightful person...and so in love with Florence and oh so knowledgeable. The place was super secure and well maintained. TOP views...and super central...right across the way from the main station. AMAZING!!!! I could not rate the place higher or ALDA!!! xxxx

    Sally2014-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Alda is a very welcoming friendly host. The apartment is beautiful, very clean, with a lovely view and is in a fantastic location near the train station. We really enjoyed our stay in Florence. The drawback of the apartment is that the beds are not comfortable. During 2 days of our stay the lift was out of action and malfunctioning which meant I had a fall and had to carry luggage down 10 flights of stairs. However, this was not the hosts fault (Website hidden by Airbnb)

    Helen2015-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Alda was wonderful in making sure we were welcomed with a delicious home made tiramisu and letting us check in early and leave our luggage at her apartment while we start our Florence exploration. She took great care to find out what we were interested in doing while in Florence before we arrived so that she could prepare information for us. She took time to prepare a list of great eating places for us including the best gelato and cantucinni. The apartment was very clean, modern with plenty of light as well as a beautiful view over Florence. Everything is exactly as shown in the photos. We were very comfortable staying there and especially enjoy the coffee that Alda provided with her coffee maker. She also made sure we were aware of possible mosquitos (quite common in Florence) and provided the insect repellent plug in if we need it. Thank you Alda for being such a wonderful host and hopefully we can visit your beautiful city again in the future and stay at your apartment.

    Yasmin2015-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was amazing so close to Firenze SM Novella in fact right across the road very secure and clean comfortable home. The host Alda treated us like family not guests ensuring we had a wonderful stay in Florence providing maps and lots of inside knowledge of Florence. She even took us to a dinner and theatre show known only to the locals which was wonderful. I would definitely reccommend this place to anyone travelling to Florence. Ps there is a lift to the apartment whi h was a god send!!!

    Sina2015-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Alda's apartment is in a superb location, so close to all the main sights. She is so welcoming and has great suggestions for eating out. I highly recommend her and ehr apartment!

Want to explore Florence off the beaten path? Settignano is the place for you! Located in the hills of Florence, the place is a confortable and newly refurbished independent room (all under lock and key) with a double bed and a bathroom with shower (no kitchen). Please be aware that there is no lounging space, so we recommend the studio only for short stays. The room is situated on the charming hill of Settignano, just 5km from the center of Florence, easily accessible by car or 20min by bus n. 10. Bus stop is just 80 meters away from the house. Bus n. 10 runs from 6 am until 10 pm. After 10 pm you can reach Settignano by taxi (approximate cost €15-20 €). If you plan to reach us by car, there is plenty of free and safe parking just around our house. Typically guests leave the car parked and visit Florence by bus. Walking distance from the house you can find 2 grocery stores, 3 bars, 3 (good) restaurants, bank, post, etc. Right next to the hill of Fiesole, Settignano turned famous starting from the Renaissance for its beauty and for the many artists that lived there. Today immersed in the Florence surroundings, the area offers characteristic landscapes of rolling hills dotted with olive groves and groups of cypress trees that surround the many historical villas built on its hill. Settignano has always been considered the perfect place for periods of rest, study, and meditation. In addition it is rich in itineraries of art, nature and trekking trails. In addition to visiting Florence, there are many walkings that you can do in Settignano or closeby Fiesole, walks of particular beauty (and with a nice view of the city). If you want to walk around, ask us for some itineraries.
  • We had a great stay. The apartment is placed 200m from the centre of Settignano,a quiet village just outside (Website hidden by Airbnb) is fairly close to city center (about 15') We parked easily across the street. Τhe room was well decorated and fully equipped. Luca answered all of our questions before we arrived.

    Konstantis2015-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was definitely a cozy, refurbished studio as advertised. The bed was comfortable and takes up most of the room, but there was also ample storage space. The bathroom is serviceable, I only wish it was in the description that hot water had to be arranged with the proprietor. That said, Luca and his family were gracious and accommodating with my requests (internet, check-out, etc.), and helpful with information regarding the beautiful surrounding Settignano area. Definitely a nice start point to go out and explore. As much as I am up for practicing my Italian, they speak very good English so that's helpful too. Nice experience all in all!

    Matthew2012-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Laura and Luca are incredibly warm and inviting hosts. Although we didn't spend much time with them, knowing that such a great family lived upstairs added to the magic of Settignano. Luca was right, the town is amazing. We got to know the woman at the little shop where we got our espresso/bus tickets, and always waved to the man with his dog and Campari. The tiny square (only a minute from the apt) is perfect .A tiny market, two or three restaurants to choose from and a post office. The market had surprisingly tasty antipasti, the restaurants were all fun and well-staffed, we weren't disappointed in Settignano. The people are too friendly and the area is too charming to worry. We wouldn't have had such a great time in Florence without knowing we could escape the crowds back in Settignano. There are great walks to do when you need a little fresh air and Luca provides a nice map. Luca and Laura are very easy to communicate with and helped us quite a bit. We showed up a day early by accident and Laura quickly cleaned the room (luckily another guest had just left) and assured us not to worry. A possible stressful situation was totally avoided by her warm welcome. Very comfortable stay, we can't imagine returning to Italy without staying in the room in Settignano.

  • Settignano is a wonderful little town just outside of Florence, that's the perfect getaway from the tourists that tend to take over the heart of the city during vacation season. The bus comes in twenty minute intervals on the weekdays (30 minutes on Sundays), the stop is located less than 3 minutes away from the flat, and a twenty-minute bus ride will take you to Piazza San Marco, which is walking distance from the majority of the sights in Florence. Luca's studio is hotel-level clean (and no doubt more pleasantly and gorgeously decorated than most mid-range hotels), and Luca, his wife and his sister were delightful people to meet during my stay there. Florence is a city that is famous for its renaissance art and its food, but also the wonderful view of the entire city and the Tuscan hills from the hills/mountains surrounding it in Fiesole, Piazzale Michaelangelo or the gardens of the Pitti Palace. While I can't say you'll have a view over the city from this flat (but you'll get to see it everyday on the bus ride down), it's just kind of wonderful to live among the hills of Tuscany. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who treasures the calmness of a small town and the delight of getting away.

    Wilson2013-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • The room is extremely small - it cannot even fit luggage. you have to squeeze to get to the other side. Also, it is not a private home, it is just a small bedroom. Setignano the area is also quite far from Florence - would recommend to stay in the city. Did not enjoy the experience at all.

    Aashika2015-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • The room is extremely clean and the design is of great taste. Though the room is a bit small but it's manageable. The scenery in the neighbourhood is truly amazing. It only takes around 20 mins by bus to get to the city centre which isn't a big deal for us. Luca's mom is the nicest person in the world! She invited us for a cup of coffee. She always made sure everything was running smoothly. She is an elegant lady and will make you feel welcome at the place. Definitely recommend this room, such a delightful stay if you want something other than the touristy town centre.

  • Me and my boyfriend had a lovely stay in Lucas apartment. The weather was fabulous the location was very picturesque and beautiful. There was also a gorgeous restaurant next door which we can highly recommend to anyone that stays there. Thank you Luca for letting us stay in your apartment.

    nicola2013-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time in Settignano/Florence! The city is easily accessible by public transport, and it's really worth it to stay in Settignano, because it's such a beautiful village and a quiet getaway from the city. We only met Luca really quickly, but we thought everything about the stay was perfect. The studio is small but perfect for the two of us, and the bed was so comfortable! Also, PLEASE have dinner at the pizzeria in Settignano, it's really good. We ate some pretty good pizzas, but especially the risotto was amazing. Thanks for having us Luca!

The apartment is located in a very strategic point, at the border between Sesto Fiorentino and Florence. The neighborhood is called Quinto Basso and, in our humble opinion, is the perfect mix of quietness and the true Italian spirit. Hence the strong acclamations that you may hear when the local football team plays and everybody meets at the local bar to watch them. You will find nearby almost anything you might need, from local bars to supermarkets or parks/kids play area.
The apartment is very spacious and welcoming, and is divided into an open-space kitchen-living area with a big sofa bed, a hallway, a spacious double bedroom and a windowed bathroom with shower. All spaces are divided by doors, in order to allow best privacy for everyone.
The neighborhood is very Italian-like, safe and friendly. There are two supermarkets in the area(Esselunga Centro Commerciale and Lidl), but if you'd like to support the local businesses, you will find just around the corner a "Panificio and Alimentari", bars, gelateria, dry cleaners and restaurants.
  • After a long day of sightseeing, Alina's home was a great end to a busy day! We arrived in the evening and Alina met us at the exact time we planned. Since is it was late (and we had a rental car) she even a manged to save us a parking spot right in front of the home ( a nice and unexpected effort on her part). The home was clean and had everything we needed and extras we were not expecting! Thank you for the croissants, water and fully stocked kitchen! There was nothing that we needed that wasn't already in the home. Alina was very easy to communicate with. We are American and don't speak Italian so it was nice to not worry about communication issues. Thank you so much for the hospitality you showed us Alina! Both you and your husband were very kind and we appreciate you both! Oh, and for those interested in a GREAT coffee shop in the neighborhood, we recommend Caffe Neri ( seriously, the BEST cappuccino and pastires- "a must" if you stay at Alina's!) We highly recommend Alina's home. You will not be disappointed! Thank you again Alina, it was so nice to meet you!

  • The host were fantastic and transported us to and from the airport. They were super hosts and it was much appreciated. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed. The location suited us because we wanted to be near the airport. The restaurant we ate in was within walking distance through a neat and leafy neighbourhood.

  • Alina and her husband were one of the best hosts. They were very responsive and were very caring. He even drove me to the train station and made sure I made it to the correct platform. The flat was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was one of the best Airbnb experiences. I would highly recommend this flat to anyone visiting Florence.

  • We stayed for two days at the apartment. Alina’s communication was excellent and she responded quickly to all of our messages. She even went above and beyond and picked us up from the train station when we arrived. The apartment is very spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Alina and Catalin’s place is one of the most thought out air bnbs we have stayed in. The location is close to the train station and there are also some cute coffee shops close by. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Alina and Catalin!

  • We loved everything about our stay! The place is lovely and large, and very clean! Although it’s just outside of florence, it’s only 2 stops away from the centre! And the village the apartment is located in seems so peaceful and lovely making it even more relaxing. We were particularly grateful for all the personal touches; the host provided things like pasta and bottles of water which we loved as a bonus! I would definitely recommend and would 100% return again! Thanks

In the end of Orticoltura Garden, near Piazza della Libertà, you can touch with hand the part of the city of the river Arno where the Romans established for the first time and drew the first lines of the thistle and decumanus underpinning the city, on the model of the city of his predecessors greek people who founded the city of Fiesole (10 minutes by bus from here). From Viale Volta, by car or by bus, you can go to Fiesole, an archaeological heritage, UNESCO, the Medici villas and gardens, restaurants and pizzerias and local products. GENESIS: in the nineteenth century, the architect Giuseppe Poggi, when Florence was the capital (1860), destroyed the fifth set of walls to make way for an artery junction, near the ancient city, for the transit of the carriages, now become uncomfortable with the advent of cars. He maintained, however, the entrance gates to the city of the ancient walls, which bulwark and memory of great monuments. So sewed the fabric of the old town with the barrier through the suburban streets, including Viale Don Minzoni, Viale dei Mille and Via Alessandro Volta from Piazza della Libertà lead to the Cure and Fiesole. In the southern side, however, the paths merge with the Florentine hills and uniqueness of Arcetri. Piazzale Michelangelo (10 minutes by bus from here) is the culmination and crowning of union between the two sides, in memory of Michelangelo Buonarroti who designed the fortress and the ramparts surrounding the church and convent of San Miniato al Monte, the highest point, near the center and the Pitti Palace from where you can admire a breathtaking view of all the major monuments and bridges immersed in the green waters of the river Arno. As you get off you will find a beach with deck chairs, bars and local as 'the Rifrullo'. In Fiesole, Via S. Giuseppe you can admire a magnificent view of the entire city, if you want to have a bird's-eye view of the city of Florence, the picturesque and romantic, especially in the night. I suggest suggestive places to visit and for eating florentine steak. The first insiedament, in Florence, coincides with the hill of Fiesole, an etruscan acropolis. From S. Giuseppe street you can admire a beatifull view of whole Florence, it's suggestive and romantic, expecially by night. In the night of New Year and in San Giovanni's night you will look at all illuminated Florence by fireworks. An other important point of view is Piazzale Michelangelo and here you will admire the wonderfull scenary with the river Arno and the most important monuments with a closer look (here is the 'Davide', but it is a copy, the original is in Accademy). In up there is the quiet and ancient church of San Miniato al Monte, down are the roses and japanese gardens and the walk to Palazzo Pitti and Giardino di Boboli. In the hystorical center you can visit Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Campanile di Giotto, Battistero of S. Giovanni, Accademia di S. Marco which preserves the original 'David' of Michelangelo Buonarroti, Piazza della Signoria with Palazzo della Signoria with Palazzo Vecchio with Salone dei Cinquecento and tower di Arnolfo di Cambio, the Loggia of Lanzi, Gallery of Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Leonardo Museum, Orsanmichele Church, Basilica di S. Trinita, Santa Maria del Carmine Church, S. Spirito Church, Santa Maria Novella Church, Spedale degli Innocenti, Museum of Bargello, Santa Croce Church, Rotonda degli Angeli, Ancient florentine towers, Palazzo Medici-Riccardi, Palazzo Strozzi and other Renaissance Palaces, Dante's House, Michelangelo Buonarroti's house, Palazzo Pitti and its museums and Giardino di Boboli, Fortezza da Basso for fashion fair, Parterre in Piazza della Libertà for craft fair, the New theatre in the gardens of Cascine and near 'la Leopolda', by tram. EVENTS IN DECEMBER Remember that Florence is an open-air museum, and if you walk through the historic center of the city, enjoying the wonders it offers, it is a show that deserves throughout the year, imagine what Florence can be like in this period! The Christmas atmosphere in Florence is announced with a warm and full of lights, in Piazza del Duomo you can admire a huge Christmas tree as well as a real 'capannuccia'. The nativity scene will be set up in Piazza del Duomo, on the parvis of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Nativity of Santa Maria del Fiore will be set up at the same time. Here is reproduced the Nativity with beautiful handmade terracotta statues of the Impruneta. Both the Christmas tree and the Nativity scene are dismantled after January 6, the day of the Epiphany. The shop windows will have very creative museum decorations, inspired by the theme of Christmas and will always be open until Christmas. CHRISTMAS MARKETS AND SHOPPING In the weeks before Christmas in Florence, as well as in the surrounding area, Christmas markets are set up, more or less characteristic, where you can find small gifts of various kinds, from objects to food and wine. The largest Christmas market is undoubtedly that hosted in Piazza Santa Croce, which lasts approximately from the end of November to the 20th of December. It is inspired by the German markets, with typical wooden houses, and offers articles of different types from crafts to gastronomic products, small furniture and Christmas decorations. There are foreign exhibitors, but also Italian. In 2017 the Christmas market will be from November 29th to December 21st. But you will find small Christmas markets also in the different neighborhoods of the historic center, some beneficial, organized mainly at weekends. Who prefers to get out of the city, will find in the major Fiesole, in the villages of Mugello and Chianti. In December and January, which are certainly among the coldest months in Florence, spaces are set up where they can challenge themselves in typically winter sports. At the Parterre (Piazza della Libertà area), nearby, an ice rink has been opened for several years, with skating hire. Here is an itinerary that we suggest you follow: start from Piazza San Lorenzo, then go towards Piazza del Duomo, continue along Via Calzaiuoli up to Piazza della Signoria. Continue to the Arno passing under the Uffizi Gallery to reach the Ponte Vecchio from where you can admire the Arno and reach Palazzo Pitti. If you still have energy, I suggest you climb to Piazzale Michelangelo where the Church of San Miniato al Monte will also be open.
  • We stayed an extra day with Anna due to flight issues and she was really accommodating of us for this extra stay. Read my main review for more details

  • Anna was a wonderful hostess. From when I first booked the room until we checked out she was very helpful with providing directions and other useful information for our stay. Upon arrival, Anna provided us a packet of info with maps to the key tourist locations and bus numbers and routes to get to and from the apartment easily. The room and amenities were lovely and well kept. Overall, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay here.

    Jenna2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Anna was a fantastic host! We took a wrong turn (her directions were perfect we just didn't follow them) and she promptly came and found us! Great location, quiet neighborhood about a 30 minute walk from the duomo with bus capabilities. All was exactly as expected and then some! Great design nice clean room and a fabulous shower! We loved drinking wine in the garden at night when we were tired from walking all day. We had a wonderful time!

    Annie2014-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Bathroom is not private and breakfast is average. The room however is spacious for 2 .

    Irvine2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, nice stay

    Liyao2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Anna`s place was for 3 days approximately. The rooms are as presented on the pictures and are very clean. The bathroom is cozy and convenient. The apartment itself is quite stylish with ;odern furniture and fixtures. The area is lively and is not far from the city centre (20 minutes by wallk to Piazza San Marco, or 10 minutes by bus). In the neigbourhood there is a very good gelatteria - try it! Anna gave us a warm welcome providing us a lot of information about transportation in the city, major sights, and explaining the rules of the house. She has been attentive to our preferences for breakfast. Anna has respected our privacy. We`ve had a pleasant stay in her place.

  • Our stay went well after a little bump with directions - Ana's address is the same as a business down the street according to (Hidden by Airbnb) - but we figured it out. It was a bit confusing talking to ana as I assumed she was savvy with texting and such... As well she said she was comfortable in English but it was a bit confusing when we called to get the correct directions to her house... All the sort of thing that you work through . The place was great- amazing shower! Of all things. Also there is a stupendous restaurant right in her neighborhood Via Ponte alle Riffe 2, (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Florence

    Keith2015-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Anna is extremely friendly! She contacted me before I reach, providing me with buses that I could take to her house. Upon reaching, she offered us drinks while explaining the places that we could visit. Her room is extremely beautiful, the furnishing is amazing. The shower was very comfortable with the massage function. My best airbnb experience. It was also very easy to get to the city from her place, there are many public transport in walking distance.

Enjoy the elegant yet cozy atmosphere with a mix of modern and traditional pieces of furniture in my super functional apartment. Located close to places preferred by locals in-the-know, you'll get the unique chance to experience the authentic local daily life. And another plus: free parking nearby! It will be a pleasure to welcome you in Florence!
Enjoy the comfort of a relaxed stay while feeling at home away from home in this fully equipped apartment with touches of design items and pieces of furniture. Close to the European University Institute, away from the hassle of the city center, my property is perfect for couple, friends and family with children (baby cot available upon request at the cost of Euro 20,00) ***FINAL CLEANING FEE 40 EUR to be paid at check in*** My very bright apartment (65m2) is located on the first floor of a typical 1930th Florentine building, sleeping up to 4 people (2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults) at only 10 minutes by bus from Piazza San Marco.
The apartment is strategically located along the bus line allowing you to reach the main tourist sites in a few minutes. The neighborhood is one of the most appealing residential areas of Florence, beloved by Florentines thanks to its lively yet safe and relaxing atmosphere. Piazza delle Cure, only 10 minutes by foot form the apartment, literally bursts with life during the daily outdoor market where locals buy fresh veggies, fruit, meat and cheese or stroll around the booths looking for some new outfits at very competitive prices. The area has everything you may need: supermarket, cafes, trattorias, gelaterie, fashion stores, a beautiful bookstore, bakeries, pharmacies, etc… Shopping in this area is indeed cheaper than in the rest of the city as the area is located just outside the main city boulevards (that pass through Piazza Liberta’ and mark the border of the historical centre) but it's still within walking distance from the main city attractions.
  • Bitte's charming apartment in fact looks even better than in the pictures and is very comfortable. Also, Bitte made it even more comfortable by providing us with a cot and a high-chair for our baby, which was a nice surprise. The surrounding area is actually my favorite place in Florence - much more Italian spirit than in the city center! ;-) Overall, I strongly recommend both the apartment and the host.

    Joanna2016-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • I would say Bitte's place is actually much nicer than the photographs! We stayed there for 3 nights and really regret not staying longer! Bitte has her apartment nicely decorated and it feels like HOME, which was so nice 3 weeks into our trip. There are two local pizzerias that we got take out from and they were fantastic and affordable- see Bitte's book of tips :) This neighbor hood has a small town feel and it's lovely to wake up to birds singing in the morning. FYI - if you are arriving on a Sunday, the bus from the train station only runs once an hour and all grocery stores, tobacco shops, etc. Are closed. Plan accordingly!! We ended up getting pizza from Casa Della pizza, one of Bitte's suggestions, and bringing it home with a bottle of their house wine (which was very good and affordable)!

    Mandy2017-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Bitte's apartment was a lovely way to begin our trip to Italy. Communication beforehand was great where Bitte shared all the necessary info for check in - including a whole lot of information and local tips for our stay. Her parents welcomed us right on time and showed us around the apartment, before giving us some last minute tips including where we could pack our vehicle for free. The apartment is spacious with all the basic amenities you'd need for your stay. The apartment is situated close to public transportation as well, so great for those who don't drive too! We tried a few of the places Bitte recommended and were not disappointed - especially the panini place which is an experience, not just a place to grab a sandwich. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much, Bitte!

  • Bitte and her parents were amazing hosts. Quick to respond, full of recommendations, and incredibly helpful. The home is simple but beautiful and in a residential neighborhood that offers a quiet refuge while only being a 15 minute bus ride from the city center. The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and we felt at home right away. I'd definitely recommend.

    Sasha2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Bitte's place is outstanding. Recently remodeled, it's spacious and modern with old world touches. Every amenity, the washing machine was especially appreciated. Bitte was great with communication, super helpful with tips, and her parents who checked us in and out are lovely. Central, walkable to the center, with good access to transit. Free parking g a 5 minute walk away, although street parking is also available right out front. Highly recommend!

    Brian2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very beautiful apartment close to the city center! This was by far the most wonderful apartment we’ve ever booked on AirBnB. Bitte gave us so much information and tips (sightseeing and to-go-places as well as restaurants) in advance, which was just great! We also met her parents, who have managed the check in and check out and they are really lovely and kind. Overall one of the best AirBnB experiences so far and the best apartment on our Italien trip. Thanks again!

  • Staying in Bittes apartment was great. Being out of the centre of Florence meant it was nice to get away from all the tourists every evening! It’s about a 35 min walk into the centre or an easy bus ride from just across the little bridge. (tip: buy as many bus tickets from the Tabac that you think you will need as he ran out while we were there!). The apartment is very nicely furnished, is large and spacious and has everything you need. Bed was very comfortable. With windows open it can be a little noisy with traffic (you are in town so it’s to be expected), so just wear ear plugs or sleep with the windows shut! Bittes parents provided a lovely warm welcome with helpful information and Bittes pre arrival tips are excellent. Thanks for a perfect 4 night stay.

  • Luca was such a great host! Carries our bags up the stairs and told us all the major sites to see and where to eat, gave us a map and everything! The place was clean, a little noisy from the other guests, but we still loved it. You can walk any where in the city from here!

    Lorraine2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Luca's apartment is great! The view from the room is astonishing and the room itself is beautiful and comfortable. The location is easy reachable from the main station and the major attractions of the city can be reached in a walking distance. Truly recommended

    Elisa2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Luca was very friendly, helpful and gave us lots of advice on places to go. This location is in the heart of Florence where everything is within walking distance. The room was a little smaller than I though it would be but it met our needs perfectly.

    Jason2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Luca was so friendly and helped us with local tips. Guided us to the best sandwich place in Florence... truly the best! Place was very easy to get to and perfect for walking into the center of Florence. Would definitely recommend.

    Katy2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time in Florence and in Luca's room. The apartment is incredibly central and very easy to get to from the main train station, Santa Maria Novella. The space had everything we needed and more! The star of the show is the balcony, that view looking over to the Duomo is amazing. We sat and ate breakfast there every morning! Luca was very friendly and offered to give us any advice on making the most of our time in Florence. We were also just around the corner from the Mercato Centrale which is amazing for food and drink with a great atmosphere. What we hadn't realised is that the other rooms in the apartment are rented out so it has a bit of a hostel feel to the place, not that it was an issue. It was nice saying hello to the other guests! I would definitely recommend Luca's apartment to anyone looking to stay in Florence. Thank you :)

    Theresa2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view and great location that is easily walkable to all nearby attractions. The host was very accomodative with rapid responses to all questions. Fantastic stay!

    Wes2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • The room is absolutely beautiful and looks even better than the pictures. The view from the balcony is spectacular. The bed is really comfortable and the location is perfect, close to main sights and at the same time a quite place. Luca was very nice and friendly and he gave as a map and all the instructions we needed for our stay. We are very satisfied with our stay and we highly recommend Luca's place and especially for couples because it's very romantic.

Bellissimo monolocale situato nel centro storico di Firenze, recentemente rinnovato e vicino a tutte le principali attrazioni, raggiungibili in massimo 10 minuti! Beautiful new studio located in the centre of Florence, close to all the attractions!
NUOVO DIVANO LETTO, COMPLETAMENTE RINNOVATO IN GIUGNO 2015 The studio is situated in the historical centre of Florence, in the quarter named Sant'Ambrogio, famous for its market. The studio has been completely renovated recently. NEW SOFA BED, RENEWED IN JUNE 2015
Sant'Ambrogio is a nice quarter, don't miss a visit to the market or to the Synagogue, which is in the same street as the house. The place is full of restaurants and small shops and it is close to the main shops of the historical centre as well. There are some supermarkets and bus stops close to the apartment.
  • Pilar's apartment makes accessing all of Florence's sights easy. It is small and has a fold out bed but is suitable for a short stay as I guess you are out in the city most of the time. Very safe neighbour hood; lots of Americans nearby, and an Army presence right on the street. The apartment block feel family friendly and we noticed many children :) Unfortunately we were bitten by quite a few Mosquitos whilst staying here so we advise to keep the window closed! As there is no separate rooms (studio apartment) we used the window to keep cool at night but this was our mistake.

    Lauren2016-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Pilar's apartment was an exact replica of the pictures, a friend and I spent four nights at the apartment in Florence and it was the perfect location. Very easy to walk to the city's main attractions (Florence is a walking city) and very clean and well equipped. Pilar herself was very kind, even when we showed up an hour late due to transport issues. The building has a lift, very convenient, and the rooftop terrace is stunning. We actually found the bed very comfortable and would definitely stay there again on returning to Florence!

    Tahlia2015-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very great location! Pilar was sweet and polite, would stay here again. Amazing rooftop view of the city, accessible any time!

    Whitney2015-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was great. It was my first time staying in an Airbnb and it was awesome. It is in the heart Florence and easy to walk around everywhere. Pilar's mother was very helpful and polite. I would definitely stay here again.

    Leticia2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent stay, right in the center an an extraordinary view of the town. I strongly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience Florence. The apartment was spotless and Pilar was very accommodating.

    Jacob2014-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Just as shown in the pictures, very clean and modern. This was a great location and had an amazing rooftop view, I wish we had more time to have a glass of wine up there. The bed was ok for a sofa bed definitely not as bad as you would think, considering European beds are pretty hard anyway, this bed was comparable. We had a great stay! Florence is wonderful

    Catalina2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pilar’s place was easy to get to and her mum was able to check us in easily. Great that they have an elavator! Place was lovely an clean with all kitchen appliances easy to use!

    Sarah2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very good stay! Pilar was extremely prompt in replying to any questions we had and was so helpful in getting us to the location. The place was very clean and comfortable. Certainly recommended for anyone looking for a place to stay!

  • It's always easy to see when someone not only leases apartment and when someone really loves it and always tries to make it better. It was cold outside these days but not inside. Good to know, when the weather is unpredictable. And what about location: Florence is not too big to worry much about it. It won't take less than 10 minutes to get just to the center of everything.

  • The host was very accommodating for a last minute booking and was flexible with our arrival time. The apartment was very conveniently located and we enjoyed walking around the town. The apartment was cozy for four and the kitchen was very small so we did not cook much there. It is in an old buidling so it was easy to imagine the history and it gave us perspective on the town. We enjoyed it very much!

Located near the Station, San Lorenzo market, the Uffizi, the Accademia Gallery , the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio. The accommodation is suitable for both business travelers and for couples or families with children. The area offers several places to eat and have fun, for example, the upper floor of the Central Market or the famous restaurants Trattoria ZàZà and Trattoria Mario, and a small but well stocked supermarket just down the street where you can buy a little bit of everything.
We tried to decorate following our taste but without forgetting the fuctionality of a house. We thought about what we would have liked to find as guests in an apartment. For families with infants or small children we leave at disposal a travel cot for free.
The area has a lot of restaurants, trattorie, pubs and bars. Most of the attractions of the city are reachable by foot easily, for example the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza Pitti, Piazza S.Croce and important museums as the Uffizi.
  • Alessio and Sabrina were wonderful hosts. The check in was seamless. Alessio was very good at staying in touch and corrdinating with us and was waiting for us on arrival. He also surprised us with a lovely little welcome gift. A great touch! The apartment is beautiful and the perfect size for the 2 of us, cosy yet spacious. It was also in the perfect location for us. Walking distance from the train station, yet really central and right by the Central Market and many of the top attractions in Florence. All together this was a wonderful stay and I’d definitely look to stay here again next time I visit Florence.

  • We had a fantastic stay at Sabrina's. Her son came to meet us at the station and waited for us even though we were running late. The appartment is fabulous and is even better than in the photos. It's in a great location, close to all the major sights but down a quiet street. I'd definitely recommend to anyone planning a trip to Florence.

  • Really enjoyed out stay. The apartment was very comfortable and within walking distance to all the major sights. Sabrina's son, Alessio, was more that responsive and communicative regarding check in and check out. They even left us a bottle of wine, which was a very nice touch. Would highly recommend staying here while visiting Florence.

  • Alessio and Sabrina’s apartment in Florence is wonderfully situated near the Mercato Centrale. Everything was spotless and they were quick to answer any questions, help with advice and even make bookings for us. The bed was so comfortable with high quality linens. Really cannot fault this place and highly recommend it.

  • Alessio was very nice and picked us up at the train station, walking along the route to his apartment and showing us places to try around the neighborhood. The apartment was very clean and central to everything. Great place I would definitely recommend!

    Hannah2017-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even better than the pictures if that is possible! Wonderful bathroom and kitchen, spacious bedroom and closet space, and an inviting living room. We almost missed seeing Florence because we wanted to spend so much time at the apartment! The location was fantastic with the market and many food options just steps away. Alessio was kind enough to meet us at the train station which is an easy walk away. When we had any issues Alessio and Sabrina were very responsive and helpful. This is a must stay place!

  • Everything was great at Sara's apartment. Location was about a 30 minute walk from city center. Cute shops and bars around the area. Wifi worked well. We didn't get to meet Sara but her friend Dora who checked us in was lovely and Sara was very helpful through email. I would definitely return!

    Lauren2014-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a nice house a short walk in to town

    Joe2015-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sara's apartment in Florence was really lovely -- clean, bright, comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and an easy bus ride or a nice long walk along the river to get to the center and all of the important sights.

    Cindy2014-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice stay, the apartment looks just like the pictures. It is a 30 min walk Away to the center. The only problem is the couch - the bed is terrible. But as I mentioned before it was a good stay.

    Carla2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely size apartment with air-conditioning, which was a life saver when we were there. Could do with a little updating.

    Janice2018-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was nicely arranged and clean. We were happy to see there was a Bus taking us directly to the city centre and a nice Café where you can get the Bus tickets and breakfast. The bed and bathroom were perfect, but we wouldn't recommend sleeping on the couch which is pretty uncomfortable. I think the apartment is good for a couple that shares the bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for preparing and cooking food.

    Nina2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • The location is good because there is a bus stop just around the corner. The only thing was that the shower door was broken so it was difficult to shower without making a mess in the bathroom. The iron and some of the outlets in the house didn't worked but everything else was great. Before the arrival was really difficult to contact the host, I did not receive any reply through my airbnb messages until I reach them through (Hidden by Airbnb) the day before our arrival. The apartment also makes a lot of noise when walking but it is great for 3 people, i think more would be too crowded.

OUTSIDE THE CITY CENTER: Live like a local in this newly renovated apartment outside the city center, in the green and quiet neighborhood of Le Cure. The property is only a 20 min bus ride from the center, and has all the amenities: wifi, huge TV, dishwasher, washing machine, south-facing balcony and more. No cleaning fees!
CHECK-IN: After 2 pm. Just try to let me know in advance your estimated time of arrival. Early check-ins, if/when possible, need to be arranged in advance. CHECK-OUT: By 11 am. Late check-outs, if/when possible, need to be arranged in advance. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE FLAT. If you smoke, please do so ONLY on the balcony (ashtray provided). The property is a recently renovated flat, bright and warm, with wooden floors, independent heating, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, fridge, water kettle, kitchen utensils, bathroom with shower and a flat TV with a few international channels (mainly news). Breakfast is not provided but I will usually have at disposal basic kitchen essentials like tea, coffee, sugar, salt. The apartment sleeps 4 maximum: the sleeping room has a queen size bed made with pallets, and a ceiling fan for the warmer nights. There is no AC but the place is cool in the summer. The living room has a sofa bed (easy to open/close). All windows have mosquito nets mounted. The property is located at the first floor, easy to get to with luggage. Free Wi-Fi (7 Mbps) available throughout the apartment. Clean bed linens and bathroom towels are provided. For longer stays I will contact you to arrange a full change. I will provide a small guide with instructions and things to know about the flat. I will also provide guidebook with local info (supermarkets, markets, buses, walks, restaurants/bars etc). FAMILY-FRIENDLY: The high table and stools might not be suitable for younger children. The small office table with normal chairs can be used instead. Toys for younger kids are available. SECURITY: The apartment is equipped with carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
The apartment is in the residential neighborhood of Le Cure, located at the foothills of Fiesole, one of the most prestigious parts of Florence. The area is green and quiet, ideal for long walks or even runs. The main square of Le Cure holds a daily market where you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables. The area around the square is very lively during the day, full of shops and bars/food places. Near the apartment there are a couple of corner shops and a bar that sells cigarettes and bus tickets. For bigger food shopping, there are two supermarkets, respectively 800m (900 yrds) and 1.4 km (less than 1 mile) away. A bit of history: The area of Le Cure was built and inhabited in the second part of the 19th Century, when Florence was made “temporary” capital of Italy for a few years. The district takes it's name from “Le curandaie” (washerwomen), known in slang as “le cure”, as they used to wash the clothes in the small stream Mugnone, a tributary of the main river Arno that goes through the neighborhood. In 1870, as the Capital was moved from Florence to Rome, all the government buildings, the states' offices and the diplomatic and public life left Florence in a great vacuum. The only thing that remained was culture. This is probably why most of the streets in this area take their names from important Italian writers or characters of famous novels. One perfect example is the area around via Boccaccio. Boccaccio is among the greatest Italian writers and the tales of his most famous book, The Decameron, take place in this area around the small river. Hence the name of the flat :)
  • Marco was great, very prepared and thorough. The place was clean and close to bus stops!

    Ashley2018-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Marco was very nice and answered all of my stupid questions. We only stayed at the apartment for 2 nights, but it was smooth and problem free. Apartment is nice and has all you need. It is not super close to the center, but that you know if you read the description. We enjoyed it as we like to see "how the locals live".

    Irina2017-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Marco's apartment was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Florence, and quite possibly one of the nicest Airbnb's we have stayed in. The apartment was around a 40 minute walk from the city centre, but the walk was lovely so we didn't have a problem with this. Otherwise, there is a bus stop at the bottom of the road which will bring you there. Marco was a very accommodating host, allowing us to check in a few hours earlier and telling us everything we needed to know about the flat. Overall we would highly recommend Marco's apartment and would definitely stay here again!

    Shannon2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Marco's apartment is located in the peaceful area near the river. Distance from the city center is 40 min by walk or you can catch the city bus near by to arrive even faster. Even tough that is not the city center, we liked the location because it was offering some different view of Florence. The appartment is exactly like on the photos, very big and comfortable, functional and had everything that we needed. Neighborhood is peaceful and quite, with very cozy, small terraces around. Apartment is very well mantained and clean. Marco's hospitality is really rare. He is very nice and funny person, available at any moment. He was waiting for us in front of the apartment and even though we were late he didn't make any problem. He also left us a bottle of cold Italian wine and some snacks which was really refreshing in that moment for us. We fully recomend Marco's apartment and definetely is the place where we would like to stay again while visiting Florence. :)

    Vuk2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Marco is a top notch host. His apartment was clean, organized, and nicely decorated to boot. He also did some extra work to make sure we felt at home, and was very responsive to messages and was eager to help. I highly recommend a stay here if you can manage to book it!

    Alex2016-12-26T00:00:00Z

  • Really good location - close to great restaurants, cocktail bars and food markets! Cinzia's husband was there to welcome us, and it was perfect. He told us about the area, where to go for food ect. The apartment it self, is just like the pictures - a great place to stay!

    Lasse 2016-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Cinzia and Matteo's place for three weeks. They were very responsive and helpful and it was easy to communicate. The place is as shown in the picture. Gary cleans every Wednesday and he does a great job. The studio is on the third floor and I got help with my luggage both checking in and checking out. It was a comfortable stay. Thank you!

    Bahar2017-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Cinzia and Matteo both met us at the apt right on time. They were both so gracious and welcoming. Immediately, they felt like they were friends! During our stay we had a few questions and they responded quickly. I cannot say enough good things about them.

    Garry2016-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place and well located, perfect to walk around Florence. Can be a bit noisey at night.

    Marjolaine2018-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb I have ever stayed! I used to be at people's places all around when I go travel, but Matteo's and Cinzia's place is the best! Everything was perfect and well cared. They left us a cleaned and organized room with all the appliances we may need. The decoration, towells, bed: perfect!!! And the location is ideal for those who want to do everything on foot. We loved our days in firenze, especially because of all the help and attention they gave to us. I highly recommend this place ;) They also let us check it and check out in flexible time. (That helped a lot - thanks guys!!)

    Carolina2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy studio and very well situated. Communication easy and nice tips for food and lot of maps and information from Florence. Just be aware that you have to pay 20 € if you arrive later than 19:00 and check out is at 10:00 which for me is too early when on holidays

    Iñaki2017-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cinzia and Matteo were great hosts. They gave great recommendations for everything we could possibly do while visiting. Apartment was perfect, very clean, modern, and in a great location.

    Bradley2016-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find beautiful apartment in a great location. Only a 10 min stroll to the Duomo and center of the city. Resturants, bakery and cafes just downstairs. Matteo greeted us with lots of suggestions and tips for getting around Florence. Cinzia contacted us after our first night to make sure all was well. Its in a pretty quiet neighbourhood so getting some quality sleep was easy. We would definitely stay here again but for 5 nights instead of 4. So much to see in this beautiful city.

    Ornella2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay here! The bed is so comfortable and the A/C is great! There was a slight hiccup with our check-in (to no fault of Micol)--another guest had accidentally taken our key but Micol was easily accessible via text and helped us sort out the problem very quickly (even though it was almost 10pm). Thank you for a great stay!

    Stacey2016-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place is great, super clean, modern and well designed. Much better than the pictures. Micol is super friendly and helpful with clear intruction for our checkin and a list of wonderful place to have fun in Florence. My only suggestion is to have an anti-mosquito thingy. Maybe an air condition too since summer is coming :).

    Kem2016-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great apartment, very recently renovated and centrally located (it is a 10 minute walk to Piazza della Libertà from which you can catch many different busses or you can take the No. 20 bus to Piazza San Marco right in front of the apartment building). The communication with Micol went very well, she responded quickly and the information was always reliable.

    Solongo2016-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice person. She gave us many useful information to help us to enjoy the travel. The house was new and suitable.

    Shuying2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, apartment was lovely, really enjoyed staying here. Aircon was most welcome and the espresso machine was a great way to start the day. Was a 30 min walk to the Duomo but was nice to walk back after dinner in some of the nice restaurants.

    Dominic2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Micol's place, which is about a 25 minute walk from the center of the city. The loft is modern and cozy at the same time. There's a sushi restaurant below that seemed to be very popular and lots of Cafe's nearby. About a 10 min cab ride to the train station was also convenient. When we return we will gladly book with Micol again! Thanks.

  • I truly enjoyed staying with Mariam. You essentially get an entire apartment to yourself. The balcony is great and the staircase leads to a small reading/bed area. Mariam is very sweet and helpful. It's a 20-30 minute walk to the city center or a 10-15 min bus ride. I did both while staying with no issues. A light breakfast was served each morning. You have to walk through Mariam's apartment to get to your area which at first made me feel slightly rude coming and going but it wasn't a problem. I'd recommend staying here!

  • This is a super clena & beautiful & friendly place that I would higlhy recommend. 10min to train station, big room with balcony. Home-made breakfast is just so nice as well. Check-in time is also very flexible. Just love it!

She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, providing breakfast, drinks when we arrived, and snacks to take with us when we left. • The location was so convenient. We walked to the city center in 20 - 30 min and discovered the path along the river which was lovely. Everything we wanted to see in churches, plazas and museums was in the city center. The accommodations were spacious and unique in character including the balcony overlooking the city. Climbing the stairs to get to the apartment and then up to our rooms was worth it. We highly recommend Mariam’s place.

  • The apartment was clean and bright, a perfect size for one or two people. The street was quiet and I felt safe in the neighborhood. The apartment is located within easy walking distance of all of Florence's important sites. The air conditioner worked well and was much appreciated.

  • We never actually met Francesco during our stay in Florence, but we LOVED our stay in his apartment. Absolutely perfect location, and the little terrace was wonderful for relaxing with a glass of Chianti! Walking distance to everything, the center market with amazing food was right down the road. Would definitely recommend.

    Brea2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was perfect. The location was residential and quiet but somehow in the center of everything. The duomo is a straight shot as is the old bridge. Francesco was so warm, relaxed and accommodating. I really recommend this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

    Ariane2015-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very quick response from the host. We had a wonderful stay at their apartment. Check-in was hassle-free and Ivana even recommended nice places for food and shopping. The street was brightly lit, which we feel pretty safe and I think we were located near a Police station (Just saying). For those who craves for Asian food, there's a Chinese restaurant near the junction too. However, just one thing to take note. The apartment is located on the second floor. There's no lift access and the stairways are narrow and steep.

    Kyzer2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great little apartment in a nice location. It is walking distance to Duomo and the S.M.N. train station. Lots of shops and restaurants around. Balcony was nice to relax on. I did not actually meet Francesco, but I was able to drop my bag off early before check in time, and getting in to the apartment was no problem. Would definitely recommend staying here.

  • This is a great place to stay. I lived in Florence for more than a year and know the city well. Here's some really important things to know: 1. Everything is very walkable 2. You will encounter stairs. Lots of them. Don't be affected by this as its typical in Europe to not have any lift access. The buildings can't be refurbished due to historical value. 3. Noise is expected at night. That being said, this is a fantastic little spot. It's secluded inside a building so you don't have a ton of noise from the street. Secondly, it's walkable to all major destinations. The duomo is literally a block and a half away. The mercato centrale is a block and a half away....honestly it's probably the best place you can find for the money! We had a great trip and would certainly stay again. The staff are super helpful and they helped arrange our travel to the airport and answered all questions promptly via text. Also their office is only 4-6 doors down from here, making it ideal if there are any issues. Grazie mille, ci vediamo ancora subito!!

  • As we arrived we were welcomed warmly and there was even a little present basket and some shower gels and such in the appartement. We were very positively supprised by that. We enjoyed our stay in Florence very much and not only because the city is impressive and beautiful, but because we felt in this appartement right at home. The appartement is quite small but for two people for a few days more than enough. The apartement is very close to the dome and when you step onto the street you find yourself right in the middle of Florence! The inventory is very nicely picked and we thought everthing fits very well. The kitchen is quite small and if you are cooking together it might happen that you step on each others toes. But appart from that, the kitchen is well equiped and it was fun to prepare our breakfast and even a small dinner. If someday we'll return to florence we would be glad to stay at this apartement again!

  • For anyone planning to stay in Florence, this is an amazing place. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and helped make the check in and check out process easy as pie!!! The location is amazing and central to everything. This is the PLACE to stay in Florence!!!

  • The apartment is really well situated!!! Right in front of the Uffizi palace! Easy to get..to and move around. The cleaning of it was spotless and even it's small, it is really functional and comfortable. The only downside of it are the 3 long floors you have to climb up with your bags (no elevator). Although it's a company running the place they are responsive enough. Tip: when trying to look for the address see the red number not the black one!!!!

Smart Guesthouse in a bright apartment, with just two double bedrooms, kitchen, living room and shared bathroom, autonomous access 24 hours. Free access parking in front of the building. Well connected to historic center, Rifredi station, Airport, hospital of Careggi and university.
Bedroom with double bed, shared bathroom, wardrobe, desk and armchair, its own air conditioner. Under request it's possible to add another bed.
The apartment is located in Florence Rifredi area, it's a quiet residential neighborhood, well served by public transportation, by bus or train because it turns out to be important core of the university town as it is adjacent to the main hospital in the city. I will be happy to recommend great places to eat good typical Florentine dishes at modest prices and less trade and tourism but also for the local aperitif, after-dinner and the night. The bus stop it's just in front of the main door. A few minutes away from home (on foot) there is a big supermarket just behind the house. The area has great bars and cake shops where you can have breakfast. (Check on my guide tips) The apartment is easy to reach from the Central Train Station (Santa Maria Novella) but it's located very nearby Rifredi train station (5min by foot). Two of the best 'Gelaterie' are at foot distance, two good Pizzerias are at max. 5 minutes from the apt. and at 'The Flog' you can always listen to live concerts every night or go in summer season to swimming pool. Focal point near apartment is Piazza Dalmazia, where there are several number of shops. Closer to home there are supermarkets like "Conad” in via Michelazzi, or just get down to the apartment there is a delicatessen with top quality products, before check their timetable. The apartment is a good starting point for visiting the Medici Villas of Castello, Petraia and Villa Corsini, at around 2 km (Check-on website). At a short walk from the apartment, in Via Reginaldo Giuliani, there are the Liberty style factory of the famous Officina Profumo - Farmaceutica of Santa Maria Novella (check-on website), with a shop of its products.
  • This apartment is a good place to sleep, it is close to the railway and you are in 10 minutes in the centre of Florence. The area is quiet and there is not much to do, no restaurants or supermarkets close. The room is confortable and the bathroom very close.

  • Chiara's place is very near to a public transportation you can easily get into the main streets and walk around. At night it could be a little too lonely but we walked around 12:30 pm and we felt safe. You can also take a cap. Florence is amazing and the food was incredible. Chiara's room was very clean and have this amazing wood wall that my boyfriend and I loved it, well decorated with unique and rustic items. Next door there is a bakery and wine store where we got the best marine Rissoto ever. Even though we never met Chiara because we got a little late of the check in she sent us her parents which where very lovely and helpful. We spoke with her on the phone and she was also nice. She speaks English, Italian and Spanish.

    Giuliana2017-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Chiara's place whilst visiting a customer nearby. It was a perfect location for me, only a 12 min walk to the customer, and also the Firenze Rifredi, which has a direct train to Pisa (where I flew into), and regular trains taking you to the beautiful city centre in a few minutes. Would recommend.

  • Realy great appartement with modern and equipt kitchen, bathroom. You can reache Florence City within 5 min. by train and the train station is 5 min. away from the appartement. Chiara speaks very good english and she is so friendly and helpfull. We had a great time there and can recommend the appartement!

My apartment is a very welcoming environment equipped with every comfort and in a full services area. You comfortably reach the center is walking, by train rather than by bus or taxi.
Our apartment is recently renovated and very quiet. We are on the first floor of a small building with a lift... don't worry for your heavy luggages :) It is suitable up to 2 people and it consists of: a large double room, a bathroom with shower; a lovely kitchen and a comfortable living area (sofa and tv) wifi is in all flat
Our apartment is in a central position, just outside the historical center where is forbidden the access by car. Our apartment is located in a strategic position to reach by foot all over the city: - The Main sights of the historical center 15/20 minutes walking - Nelson Mandela forum 5 minutes walking - Train station of Firenze Campo di Marte 5 minutes walking - Stadium 5 minutes walking In addition to the proximity to major points of interest (walking distance), the area is well connected by public transport. The nearest bus stop is 50 meters away.
  • The place was great! And Alessandro was really nice and helpful. My first choice in florence!

  • Alessandro is an interesting, friendly and helpful host. He arranged everything well to make sure my arrival without difficulty. He gave me many useful information during my stay snd even departure. I appreciate much. His home is well renovated, modern, stylish and clean, exactly as pictures described. I particularly love the kitchen and bathroom with well equipped..The apartment is in perfect location, a few min walk from station Campo di Marte and 20mins walk to Duomo. His place is highly recommended if you plan to visit Florence.

  • Loved staying at Alessandro’s place! His father Giorgio met us at the train station and showed us the apartment, giving us many local tips. I texted Alessandro many times with questions and he was always quick to respond. The place itself is very nice, modern with a full kitchen, large bathroom and separate bedroom. We used the kitchen a lot and it was our best experience out of the many Airbnb’s we have stayed in over the past month throughout Europe. To get to downtown Florence (Florence SMN station, the main central train and bus station) it is a 2 minute walk to the local train stop and then a 5 minute ride to the center, very easy. Would definitely recommend!

  • Thank you Alessandro for making this any easy process to rent your BNB. Alessandros' father George met us at the apartment and showed us around. We met Alessandro later that evening after work. The apartment is just like the photos, very modern and in a great location near the train station, which was only one stop away from the Florence central. We would recommend this apartment to other travellers.

  • Picked this flat mainly because of the reviews. When we arrived we were meet out of the taxi and shown to the flat. We were given tips and advice on where to go and good places to eat. We enjoyed the flat and the space, the bed was very comfy and great shower. Small amount of external noise was the only negative. The previous good reviews we read were proved to be accurate and we would use Allessadro's apartment again if we return to Florence, which says it all really. We were recommend a local wine bar restaurant on our first night which was a ten min walk and it was AMAZING, our best eating experience of our whole Florence trip. Loved the flat, location was fine, train station made traveling into the centre easy but allow 20-30 mins. Enjoyed the tips and advice and it was good to know Allesandro was on hand anytime to give advice or guidance if required. We would rate highly.

  • Alessandro is a great host! His apartment was exactly as described and he was so helpful with what to do on our holiday. I would recommend staying here to anyone travelling to Florence. Hope to visit Florence again soon and will definitely stay here again!! 5* Stay and Host!

    Florence, Tuscany, Italy

Distinctive two-roomed flat completely renovated in December 2016, comfortable, suitable for couples or families, located in a very good position to visit the city. The neighborhood can boast a strategic position because, other than being provided with every service and one of the most famous shopping street in Florence, it lays 10-15 minutes on foot from the historic center and only 800m from Campo di Marte train station. Well connected with city buses and there is a big parking lot available in the apartment surroundings.
The apartment, recently renovated and exquisitely decorated, it is composed by a small kitchen with dining table, bathroom, wide double bed bedroom and a small balcony which overlooks an inner courtyard. The spacious room is equipped to accommodate up to 4 people, since it is provided with double bed, sofa-bed and, upon request a trundle bed (single). In the same room there is also a 40 inches flat TV screen. Free Wi-Fi connection and air-conditioning system are also available. The linen (bedsheets, blankets and towels) is included. Giotto's "Crib" is located at the fourth floor and at the moment the building is not equipped with elevator, therefore we are available to help out with the luggage. The apartment overlooks an inner courtyard and therefore comes off as very quiet and comfortable.
The house is located at 10-15 minutes from the historic center, just 800m from Campo di Marte train station. It is also located in a strategic position compared to the stadium Artemio Franchi, Mandela Forum sports hall and to one of the most important shopping streets in Florence, Via Gioberti, which will lead you directly to the historic city center. You can smoothly reach by car. In the surroundings of the apartment a pay per use public parking lot is present and at any rate it is also possible to park in the street. The area is well served by city buses which will allow you to easily reach the main city touristic attractions and stands out for its best selection of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets.
  • Lovely apartment...spacious, great air con, swanky bathroom, clean and modern decor. Host was lovely, very friendly, flexible and helpful. The 84 steps up to the apartment were a little tiring after walking almost 10 miles each day! The area is lovely though and worth those stairs. Pizza place right opposite was yum! If you don't head down to MoLo 5 by the river of an evening, you're missing out! Live music, great cocktails, pop up street food all with a sophisticated but chilled vibe.

  • Perfect location for city staying. Great area and perfect for people who want a home instead of a hotel. Thanks again and we will stay here again while we are in Florence area

    Danny2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Nicely decorated, close to the train station (with suitcases it isn't walkable as the sidewalks aren't large, the paved road isn't smooth). There aren't any Ubers available, but taxi service is absolutely great. Takes about 12 euros to get to the historic area in a taxi. Apartment was very nice! You do have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. Andrea helped us with the suitcases when we arrived. However, we had to bring those down ourselves. We were females so a bit tough but we managed.

    Shuchita2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea's place is perfect for a cool, quiet place to stay while exploring an amazing city.

    Benjamin2018-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • I was staying in Andrea's apartment with my husband. Andrea is very nice person! He has answered to my massages really quick. He has give us an advice and directions how to get to his apartment. We have received from him a map of the town with marked suggestions on it for restaurants, bars, supermarket, tc. The apartment was very clean, spacious, nice furnished and comfortable to use as you are at your own home. Andrea has left for us some products to use, like: sugar, tea, salt, oil, drinking water, hairdryer, shower gel, shampoo, tc. We have been welcomed with a delicious red wine :) Once again - Andrea, thank you about it! The apartment is around 30 min. in a walking distance by the center. You can walk to the center thru the streets among the neighborhood where you can find some nice shops, or thru the alley next to the river which is very romantic especially at nights. I definitely recommend Andrea's apartment for nice staying in Florence! P.S. Andrea, thank you for being our host! For us it was a great pleasure to meet you and to have our time in Florence at your apartment! Greetings, Diana and Svetoslav

  • Helpful and nice host! Very quick response to our every questions. We enjoy staying in their place and highly recommend it. Although we arrived their place earlier than the check in time, they allowed us to leave our luggage first which make us feel more convenient. Thanks again for the host!

  • Beautiful apartment up 4 stories of stairs so no good if you aren't fit. Walking distance to all areas of interest . Shops and restaurants nearby. Unfortunately our visit was affected a lot by noise until 2 am by the host in the next door apartment. Which i thought was inconsiderate seen as he knew we were there!
