This is a really pretty tiny house in a beautiful settlement from the 1700s. Really nice cooking set up, fresh eggs from the neighbors, everything perfectly clean and just so.

The property and cottage our lovely, set in a woodland garden , very peaceful. It's thoughtfully stocked with everything you need. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal, have tea or coffee. Maryland was experiencing a heat wave and our host installed an air conditioner for our arrival , so kind and thoughtful . The lush landscape keeps you cool though. It's an enchanting space and just what we needed to unwind and regroup during our family visit to Maryland and D.C. Thank you for openlng up your property .

John's place is nothing short of phenomenal. Upon arrival you'll feel like time just slowed down a bit. The drive leading up to the cottage is lined with greenery and the cottage itself is juxtaposed to the scenic, lush backdrop that his property provides. The cottage itself has plenty of nice, modern upgrades to include a smart TV, plenty of lighting, and if you're into cooking, an awesome gas stove. The kitchen is roomy, there is a washer AND dryer, and the bed is amazingly comfy. Without a doubt, the value being offered here is unmatched. John and his family are friendly and extremely detailed. They accommodated an early check-in and upon arrival had outrageously delicious scones awaiting!~ Just know, these things were better than any other scone that I've had. Wegmans? Starbucks? Don't even begin to come close! I hope that you'll get a chance to enjoy them, or whatever other baked good might be offered at the time, as well. I'd recommend that you and any of your friends looking to get away from it all, but still remain close enough to civilization to enjoy what a hustling and bustling metropolis like DC or Baltimore can offer, consider staying at John's. This is the place you're looking for. Trust me!

This quaint cottage in an idyllic setting was the basis of a quiet and very restful stay. It was finely appointed and I would have easily loved to spend more time there! The hosts were very helpful and so easy to communicate with.

I rented the suite on this historic farm for my out-of-town friend. I can't even adequately express how perfect it was and how wonderful the hosts are! The photos could never do this place justice, and I highly recommend this option for a stay in Ellicott City.

unfortunately it was only a very short stay this time, nevertheless I did not hesitate to book my stay with Kristin and Stewart. What can I say? it feels like going back home!

We stayed with Kristin for several days leading up to our wedding on October 17th. The space was absolutely lovely, in an old historic farm house, and Kristin was so welcoming. When we arrived she had left a bottle of bubbly for us to celebrate with, and invited us to tour the grounds, which were stunning: horses and chickens and donkeys, woods and a pond. It was quiet and clean, the internet worked great, and she was so kind in leaving us breakfasts which we were terrible at not eating because we usually slept in late and then went rushing over to my family's house up the road to take care of wedding preparations. There was a Keurig coffee maker available in the mornings for us to use. I would highly recommend her home, and thank her so much for the hospitality!

This was our second stay and we're planning to return in March. My wife and I cannot say enough about the accommodations and setting of this place! Kristin is a wonderful host, and her property is a sanctuary.

My husband booked the farm for me as a birthday surprise. Kristin met us outside and welcomed me. She was so sweet and immediately put me at ease. The room was clean and lovely and warm. The fireplace was fabulous. Breakfast was AMAZING! Farm fresh eggs and honey. She was so accommodating and kind. I had a fantastic stay. So relaxing.

What an inspiring place to stay! We very much enjoyed our weekend away. Jen and I came here for a nearby music festival and having such a peaceful place to stay was the perfect complement. In the morning, I had fun feeding the horses and playing with the dog and Jen enjoyed resting and doing yoga by the lake. We also enjoyed the muffins, fresh fruit and cheeses. Kristin and Stewart are very thoughtful.

This place is a little corner of paradise: is close to everything but at the same time is in the middle of a patch of green where you will be able to relax after spending your day touring the area. Kristin is a fantastic host: she will go out of her way to make you feel welcome and to make sure that you are enjoying your stay. I'd reccomend this place to all of my friends without any reservations.

We booked this for my in laws. It was amazing. The farm is full of animals that are beautiful and friendly, and the host is truly incredible. The space is beautiful, and the fridge was completely stocked. I can't think of a more wonderful place to stay.

This was the 2nd time I stayed at Jd's home. He's such a wonderful host and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. His apartment does get a bit chilly, but he turned up the heat so it wasn't as cold as it is heated by the main furnace. Thank you, Jd! See you soon!!

Jd's place is simply wonderful. The location, structure and appliances are superb. Proximity to eateries, stores and such, just a walking distance, yet the house itself is quiet and relaxing. Jd himself was readily available, friendly and often checked to see if I might need anything. I'll surely look to stay there again if I'm in the area.

We sought a place a short drive away from Baltimore, if possible in the country side. Angie's place is a big appartment overlooking her lawn. It consists of 2 big bedrooms, a bathroom and a very big living/ TV/ sitting area. One bedroom has a very big king size bed, and the other a big queen size bed. There is also a possiblity to sleep an extra couple on a couch in the living room area. In essence, the appartment would compare to a very big suite in a deluxe hotel. The appartment was impeccable as far as cleanliness goes. However, all of the above is not what compels us to give Angie's place a five-star rating, but Angie's welcome and generosity. Angie and her husband welcomed us in a very natural way, nothing fake or exaggerated. She explained where everything in the appartment was and showed us how to reach her or her family in the event we would need anything. Angie had milk, juice and pastries and bagels for us, which she of course did not have to. It was Angie´s personal welcome and of course the state of her appartment that make us strongly recommend that other visitor's choose her BnB if on a visit to Baltimore or surrounding area.

The room and living space is very comfortable and clean. It is a great location if you have business in DC or Baltimore!

This is an excellent place of refuge and relaxation. Nestled in a rural area of trees and wildlife, this retreat is perfect for individuals and couples looking for a peaceful getaway.

The pictures truly do not do this place justice. It is serene, modern, and absolutely beautiful. Martha and Kevin were gracious hosts who provided snacks and even wine, and it was meticulously neat and clean. We loved the board game options and all the extras they included. The space features huge, sprawling windows that offer magnificent sunlight and views of nature, but do note that there aren't curtains, so privacy could be limited. Overall, we rate this place 5 stars and would hands down recommend it to anyone!

Martha and Kevin were excellent hosts! Very quick response times and also very accommodating. The house was very beautiful; we felt like we were staying at the beach! The property was very well kept and all the landscaping was gorgeous. Can't wait to go back!

Martha and Kevin have put a lot of care and detail into their home and it shows! The house is a loft by the pool with plenty of space for a couple or maybe a couple with a young kid. I Lloved waking up and seeing the trees first thing in the morning! Note that there isn't a sink in the kitchenette so this isn't a good fit if you plan to cook a lot. Getting to the bathroom requires a short jaunt through the charming screened porch. This was fine for me with the warm temps but not sure how it would be in the winter or cold. Maybe they close it up? But you might want to ask. A lovely restful location for retreat and relaxation!

Plenty of space in a serene, tranquil wooded setting. Accessing the bathroom from the porch (separate from the main living/sleeping area) was unexpected. Otherwise a fine value and restful location.

This magical place is so peaceful and scenic! You will sleep on the most comfortable bed ever, and the large windows showcase the beauty of the landscape. Kevin and Martha were very thorough in making sure my stay was thoroughly enjoyable. I am a musician in town for Navy band auditions and they were very welcoming to my practicing in the guest house. I hope it is available for when the next audition comes up!

Martha and Kevin are amazing hosts. Any questions i had they responded quickly and communicated very well. Our cats absolutely loved the porch and the upstairs space, as did we. They thought of everything you could possibly need including wonderful treats, coffee, wine. Fresh flowers on thr table. Surrounded by woods and absolutely relaxing. It was quiet, private. Very well set up and clean. Not too far from Baltimore, or DC. It was a pleasure meeting them both and I definitely recommend staying here and will again if I need a break from everything.

Five stars all the way. Shauna was an amazing host and her cottage was exactly what I needed. On a beautiful piece of land that is worthy of a spot in better homes and gardens. Private and secluded, yet somehow perfectly placed so that drives to Frederick, Baltimore and D.C. are all super quick. And somehow no traffic! Not only would I repeat, I've already scheduled my next visit. A must stay if you're in the area.

Quite, clean and nice.

This was an amazing place, a lot larger than it seems in the picture. It is a separate house, but the host is nearby and responds very quickly to any request. There is TV and the WIFi now, but most of all I loved seeing lots birds and other wildlife. I enjoyed coming back here every night throughout the week after work to find no distractions and to read a book before going to bed. I think it's the type of resort I would like to come back to from time to time.

Shauna's cottage was more than we could've hoped for. It perfectly suited our needs, and was just a cozy as the photos suggested. Shauna was a fantastic hostess. She was very welcoming, and is great at communicating with her guests. I look forward to returning soon!

Absolutely fabulous cozy place to crash. Beautiful downstairs bedroom and very spacious upstairs bedroom with room for more blow up matresses. I wish the kitchen was stocked with a few more essentials, but Shauna was so sweet she dropped off olive oil, salt and pepper for us at our door step even before we woke up! She was great to communicate with, even stayed up late to text us and make sure we arrived safely on our journey to Virginia. We only had the pleasure of staying one night, but we definitely want to come back for many more. It is a safe neighborhood, although I wish it was a little closer to Baltimore. Very out of the way of the stress of city life. And everything was clean (the downstairs bathroom was beautiful btw!!) and warm and comfortable, like home away from home. Even the heat can be adjusted, which was great for us. We hope to stay here again:)

Shauna ' s cottage was clean, modern and beautiful. Its located only 30 minutes from the Glenmont metro station (very convenient for traveling into dc). When we arrived she already had inflatable beds set up for each of us and had clean linens on each bed. She provided us with bagels, farm fresh apples and orange juice for breakfast. She also provided a key and gave directions to a very conveniently located shopping center nearby. She was very gracious about us having to delay our check-in time due to some unforseen circumstances, and responded to my messages very quickly (always offering to help us with any questions we may have about the DC area). Overall, Shauna is a wonderful host and I recommend her cottage to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the DC/Baltimore area.

Great place in the country - peaceful and beautiful area. The cottage was lovely, we had everything we needed and plenty of space for our party of five in town for Preakness Weekend. It's a serene area but a short drive to stores and, more importantly, a Dunkin Donuts! Shauna was great to work with - prompt, pleasant, and clear communication. We had torrential rains one night and she was quick to make sure everything was OK. 1.5 baths is great and not always easy to find at a (very) decent price. Plenty of parking for our vehicles - we had four - and easy to get in and out. A very pleasant experience - highly recommend!

It was perfect! My wife, my one year old daughter and I stayed here while in town for a family reunion. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. It was quiet (except for the very friendly dogs greeting us when we pulled into the driveway), and we really felt like we had our own home. Our daughter loved the place as well.

Bella Vista Cottage is my absolute favorite getaway destination! It's comfortable, quite and secluded. I always enjoy my time here and Claire is an absolute delight. I highly recommend a stay here! You too will fall in love.

Claire could not have done anything more to make our stay more enjoyable. she is very, very accomodating. The location was absolutely divine.

My husband, baby daughter, and I stayed at Claire's place for my birthday weekend. It was lovely, comfortable, homey, and private. The cottage has been done very nicely, with special attention to detail. We loved that breakfast foods were provided in the fridge, and that Claire checked ahead of time our preferences. The pool was also quite a luxury! Also, Claire was very flexible when we decided to stay a second night. All in all a wonderful time, and I'm sure we'll be back!

This was a great getaway for my wife and I. The house is small but def big on charcter. We definetly enjoyed our stay and would stay again if the opportunity presented itself.

A wonderful place to stay! The home is located against the local woodlands and nature trails, with a playground less than a minute down the path. The guest rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Ralph and his wife were tremendous hosts and very hospitable. If you are coming to Columbia, I highly recommend staying here!

A+. We had an outstanding stay at Kathy & Ralph's for the Women's March on Washington. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom lovely and spotless. The house is tasteful, peaceful, and elegant. Ralph was available to chat and offer transportation and restaurant advice, and we had a great time talking with him. Next time I visit D. C. I will try to stay here again.

Ralph & Kathy's home far exceeded our expectations. The location (adjacent to a quiet forest) is perfect for leaving the hustle and bustle of a busy day behind. The second floor was our two-bedroom plus bath domain with stellar views of the forest in Spring. As someone with back issues, I appreciated the high quality and comfort of the mattress. All of the areas in the house were clean and beautifully furnished. Although we spoke mostly with Ralph, both hosts were helpful and pleasant individuals. Indeed, Kathy shared good insights with us based on her area of expertise. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to Columbia and environs.

Staying with Ralph was a delight – he was the perfect host and this past weekend was one of my best Airbnb experiences to date! He was very on top of communication prior to arrival and made us feel like visiting family when we were there. The house is fantastic and is located in a beautiful neighborhood. The guest room and private bathroom were perfect and it was exactly what we were looking for. My boyfriend and I were in town for a concert at the Merriweather Pavilion and the house is only a few miles away from the venue. Ralph so kindly dropped us off AND picked us up from a concert. We had a terrific weekend and really enjoyed exchanging traveling stories over a cup of coffee in the morning. We hope to be back soon!

Too cute!!! This was a great space and Camilla is so sweet....she had snacks waiting when I arrived and the bed sheets are so soft I slept like a baby.....the town looks like a storybook town cute shops and very friendly locals I highly recommend!!!!!

I had an extended stay with Dhaval, Freny, and their wonderful boys. The accommodations were great. It featured a large bedroom with closet space and a computer desk, a living room sitting area, countertop kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator, private bath and access to washer and dryer. Side door access to this basement apartment made me feel like this was my humble abode. Dhaval and Freny were so amazing hosts. The communicated with me throughout my entire 6 week stay, offered Sunday breakfast with them and their family, while at the same time, gave me the privacy I desire while on business. I would recommend this listing for anyone looking to stay in the Columbia, MD area. Thanks again, guys.

I was reminded to collect the keys when the booking time had started. My guests had a late flight and I had informed the same and the hosts were accommodating. If you are in he Columbia area, you should try this place.

Dhaval and his wife were warm and welcoming hosts. They were great communicators before my arrival and, once I was there, checked in with me periodically to make sure everything was okay. Their studio apartment was perfect in every way -- cheerfully decorated, well furnished and completely private. Their home is located in a quiet neighborhood that is quite accessible to shops and restaurants. The area is quite beautiful and I enjoyed being there on a sunny spring weekend with all the trees in bloom. I will definitely stay there again when I am in the area.

I was welcomed and warmly greeted upon arrival and shown the spacious, clean, happy, well decorated studio. Communication was great. Very nice family, neighborhood and studio. Convenient to everything I needed.

Freny was very welcoming! She showed me around the space and let me know where everything could be found. The English Basement was very cozy and the bed was comfortable. We stayed down the block from a friend of ours and walked back and forth often - the neighborhood is lovely! Freny and Dhaval responded to my messaged almost immediately!
