  • This place was not only adorable but super clean. The location was amazing. Literally a 10 minute walk to Canal/Bourbon Street. We would definitely consider staying here again if back in New Orleans.

  • Great location and hosts were very in touch. Would highly recommend!

  • This was a great little condo. I traveled to New Orleans with my daughter, who had never visited the city. With the sleeper sofa, we had two beds enabling privacy when we wanted it. We could walk to the French Quarter and there were good breakfast restaurants in the neighborhood.

  • Accurate photos of the property. Close walking to most of downtown. I would definitely recommend to others.

  • This was a Wonderful place to stay!! It was everything expected and more. Stylish, clean, and cozy! The location is perfect to walk to everything and still be a bit out of the way if the bourbon street noise. Also, the communication was superb, kindly checking in and offering advice on things to do. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to book this proper and I will definitely return. Thank you Mandy and Krystal so much for being such wonderful hosts!

  • Krystal & Mandy’s place was very nice all of the pictures are accurate. For some reason I thought we would be staying at the Roosevelt hotel residences, but we were in the apartments next door. The apartment is walking distance from everything. I literally walked back and for from bourbon street just because I forgot my lip gloss and it wasn’t a big deal because the walk was so short. We got there super early before check in and were able to leave our bags at Krystal and Mandys friends barber shop down the street. I know when you think, barber shop, it’s like, ehhh. But it’s no regular barber shop it’s looks like a boutique and the owner Peggy was very helpful about where to go before our check in. Overall great location the roof top is nice and you get pics of where the crane fell while they were rebuilding the hard rock. Krystal and Mandy were great host and I’d stay there again. Not with 3 people, it’s big enough for a couple even though it stays 4.

  • Great place

    Cliff2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • I highly recommend this place if you ever come down and want to truly experience New Orleans! It’s literally walking distance to multiple restaurants, bars, and attractions. You can easily walk like 5-10 mins to Bourbon Street, which is nice because you are close enough to easily get to all of the night life, but still far enough to get quiet well needed rest when your done partying. The place itself had two separate bedrooms and two separate full bathrooms. The master had a king bed, a walk in closet, access to the balcony/outdoor living area, and a connected bathroom with double sinks and a walk-in rain shower. The second bedroom had a double bed and a twin bed with a trundle. The kitchen had all the amenities need to cook a gourmet meal, other than groceries of course, and was open concept with the dining and living area. There was one TV in the living area that included satellite with multiple channels. The place also had wifi. Also in a nook in the back of the kitchen, there was a washer and dryer. The host was very nice and gave us all the needed information prior to check in that we could possibility need including where to park. We actually could see our car in the parking lot from the balcony, which I found reassuring. Also, the host left us complimentary champagne and orange juice for mimosas! We really could not have asked for more!

  • What a wonderful place! Spacious, open concept, sparkling clean, beautiful bathrooms, comfortable beds and a big sized terrace to enjoy morning coffees and breeze nights. Location is even better, close to everything! Walking distance to best restaurants and frenchman/bourbon street for live music. 24/7 convenient store 2 blocks away. Host is very responsive. I highly recommend this place. Next time I’m in town I’m coming back here!

Guest area features private bedroom and bath with its own private entrance. Only 2 miles from the French Quarter by streetcar. Enjoy complete privacy in the guest space or visit with the hosts as you desire. Additional bedroom is available for groups traveling together or families traveling with children. Please discuss your group's needs with the host. New Orleans license number is 17STR-06526.
Private bedroom and bath in our charming shotgun house just off the Canal Streetcar line only 2 miles from the French Quarter. Guest area features private entrance, lovely patio, beautiful antique furnishings, 11-foot ceilings, petite chandelier, comfortable and clean queen bed, and cozy guest robes. Internet, cable TV, parking, oscillating fan, iron, music player, white noise machine, hairdryer, fridge, coffeepot, crockpot, and snacks are provided. The space has a peaceful, airy feel and is flooded with natural light. This listing is unique in that you have complete privacy from the main house. The guest space has its own exterior door, and you are free to come and go as you please. The garden path leading to your room features motion-activated lighting if you are returning after dark. The room is located down the garden path in the rear of the house. A second bedroom is available for groups, so the space can be made to accommodate 1-4 people. We welcome special requests and will make every effort to assist with needed recommendations. We can also provide a travel crib and other baby items if you wish to travel with your childen. We love hosting guests for honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special events. Our home is located in the historic Mid-City neighborhood, which was one of the first neighborhoods to spring back after extensive flooding due to Hurricane Katrina. Mid-City is located, as the name indicates, in the middle of New Orleans on what was once the backslope of the Mississippi River natural levee. Our home was built around 1910 and is a typical New Orleans-style shotgun house. In New Orleans at the time of construction, the shotgun house utilized a minimized lot frontage, on which taxes were based. The houses were also built without hallways and closets, which would have been counted as rooms for tax purposes. The origin of the building style and the name itself may trace back to Haitian influences on New Orleans, as many Afro-Haitian slaves lived in this area. Our house was recently featured on the HBO series "Treme", as the law office of the character Toni Bernette (played by Melissa Leo) and also as part of the interior of the home of Creighton Bernette (played by John Goodman). Guests are free to have complete privacy or to meet with the host as desired to obtain recommendations for food, drink, and attractions. Check-in is offered via a lockbox. Rates may vary during special events and holidays. Our home is located just off the parade route for Endymion, the largest parade of Mardi Gras. The festival grounds for Jazz Fest are just over 1 mile away.
Mid-City is a diverse neighborhood with its own distinctive flavor. Bars and restaurants in this area are largely patronized by locals, so the neighborhood provides an escape from the more touristy areas of the city, while still allowing easy access to the French Quarter via the Canal Streetcar Line.
  • Great

    Mike2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely neighborhood stay in NOLA. The tastefully decorated rooms are exactly as described and sparkling clean. Private entrance is convenient and two entrances to shared bathroom between the two private bedrooms. Although a bookcase basically separate the rooms from the hostess’s private residence area, this was not a problem for us. A convenient mini-fridge with tea & coffee making machine is provided, as well as snacks, water & beer in the larger bedroom! There is an excellent coffee shop about 4 blocks’ walk (Coffee Science).

    Martha2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Erin’s place was lovely. It felt like our own little house behind her house. The place is super clean and stylish. When we arrived to Erins place after walking all over the city, we were delighted to find refreshments when we arrived to our place! The house is in a residential area, just two blocks from the street car stop, so it was very easy to get into the city. Definitely recommend!

    Kathryn2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming room in a cute, quiet neighborhood. Safe area to walk with some of the host's recommended places within walking distance. Erin thinks of everything; there were beverages in the fridge and local snacks for when we arrived. Super clean!

  • I have just completed a 18 day music tour and This is best Airbnb I have stayed in on the trip. I highly recommend. The hosts are great the decor is fabulous and the outside space was so nice I had to take pictures so I could copy a few of the ideas for at home!! • We had a wonderful stay! Cozy, quality, bed was great! Shower was great! It had everything we needed. The yard was darling but we were so busy seeing New Orleans that we didn’t get to enjoy it. Checkin and out was easy. There is a spot for you to park on the property. We drove to French Quarter and sites around. We highly recommend.

    Julie2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is an excellent place to stay! It’s beautiful, clean, comfortable and in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to walk to a small grocery store, a cafe, and the St. Charles streetcar line. Matthew and Katherine were clear and quick with their communications. I’d highly recommend this studio if you are looking for something away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

With 5,000+ sq ft of living space and 1/3 acre of gardens, The Mazant is a historic mansion located in the heart of New Orleans' Bywater arts district - and about 1.5 miles from the French Quarter (30 minutes walking or 8 minutes by Uber). We have added some new low-res photos of the yard and will add fully updated photos by mid-March. Please reach out if you have any questions. ======= Over the past several years we have renovated the property, seeking to preserve historic details including 13' ceilings with plaster medallions, heart pine wood floors, cypress doors, and a 175+ year old oak tree. Just down river (east) from the French Quarter - stretching from Press Street to the Industrial Canal - is the Bywater, where the mood and pace shift as you enter into the heart of an edgier yet still welcoming neighborhood. The St. Claude Arts District, centered around St. Claude Avenue, is home to more than thirty locations exhibiting visual and performance art, along with an array of artisan crafts. Down Piety Street, the fun continues with restaurants, thrift stores and more galleries. Even the homes, cafes and restaurants seem to capture Bywater's eclectic appreciation for the arts. Spend the afternoon at Crescent Park for some impressive views of downtown New Orleans and the Mississippi River. Afterward, you can thrift your way through the neighborhood before stopping in at an exhibition and finally making your way to dinner. The area's restaurants are among the most innovative in the city and are great places to sit with a cocktail and chat with locals. Above all, the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods illustrate the relationship between the New Orleans arts scene and local life. So whether you're looking for the New Orleans of old, or if you want see where New Orleans culture is headed for the future, the Faubourg Marigny and Bywater will offer you glimpses in either direction.
  • Great experience

  • WOW the pictures look great but the actual mansion is fantastic!! We received info about the area and the amenities were so thoughtful. Our family of 15 were very comfortable, lots of space and bathrooms thoughtful laid out. We sat around the fire pit several nights and marveled at the whole place. The local food and bars were a blast. Do go and walk the neighborhood is very safe and locals are friendly. The info on the house and the pictures of the process of restoring it were really interesting. Kevin is so sweet and thoughtful , thank you Kevin

  • This house is better in person than in the pictures! A perfect location for a quiet night or going out - head to the French Quarter and come home to a place that is quiet enough to fall asleep. We couldn't thank Jeff enough for his hospitality, as a group of 20 celebrating an engagement the bottle of champagne and king cake in the fridge were such a sweet touch!

  • Nice affordable spot just about 10 mins away for New Orleans. Everything you could ask for if not more. If you’re looking to travel to Louisiana soon I suggest you try booking here because it is for sure worth it

  • This place was perfect, we had the best time in NOLA!

    Blair2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super easy check in, the place was located in a really great spot. It was about 15 minutes from all the things to see and places to visit while still being away from the bad parking and huge crowds. Would definitely stay here again.

  • A great place just outside new Orleans. It's a cute little guest house, basically a studio apartment, with a bedroom/ living room, bathroom, and an area with a Keurig, a fridge, and a microwave. Daniel was responsive when I needed him; which was basically only check in and check out since the place was clean and well maintained.

Lovely apt with 14 foot ceilings and exposed plaster walls right in the middle of the French Qtr and the Garden Dist, 10 minute walk to the Convention Center, and with wonderful food and drink options within one block. Separate entrance and entire floor of 1850s brick townhouse. We own the home, and we live on the first floor of the building. We're very thankful to you for staying with us, as your money goes back into the bldg by paying for its continuing restoration! [Listing #: 17STR-08176]
Old 1850s brick townhouse located on the edge of the Lower Garden District. The apartment is romantic, full of antiques, and has a super comfy king size bed. Newly renovated bathrooms as of October 2019. If you love food, you are within walking distance of some great restaurants located either uptown on Magazine Street or downtown in the Warehouse District / CBD. There is a lovely bar right next door, an awesome coffee shop right across the street and a microbrewery within a block. You are just a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter as well. We own this house, live in the building, and do all the booking, communication and cleaning ourselves, so we’re here to make your stay as great as possible with a personal touch! Your stay funds the renovation of this building so thanks for considering us for your trip to New Orleans! Please no weddings or parties in this apartment; these types of events are not allowed without my express consent.
We love this neighborhood! It is right in the middle of city along the river, so a more low traffic spot, but with easy access to the more commercial and entertainment districts. It has its own lovely set of bars, coffee shops, and wonderful restaurants very close by though.
  • I will be a repeat guest for sure! Loved everything about this place and you can tell it’s been taken care of by the host. I highly suggest it to anyone visiting Nola!

  • We loved the place. It was bigger than what we thought from the pictures too. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

  • Lindsey’s place is fantastic! It is spacious but still cozy. It has a hip, turn of the century vibe that is wonderful. Great location, tucked away but still close to everything. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to many of the museums and a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter. We loved our stay and will be back again!

    Jessica2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place. Unique location. It’s a historic building so a little rough around the edges (hence 4 stars for cleanliness vs. 5) but that has nothing to do with Lindsey. The spaces she could reach were immaculate! Street noise bothered us the first night but then we discovered a huge box of ear plugs and were fine. The space is truly beautiful and the location perfect. Lindsey even offered to keep and donate our excess Mardi Gras throws. Would stay again! Side note: coffee across the street was a perfect first stop every morning.

    Heather2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space & great location! Lindsey gave us clear directions for checking in/out and plenty of local suggestions. Loved all the natural products. We will definitely stay here again!

  • My favorite place to stay in New Orleans! The space is beautiful and comfortable, and the location is perfect. ✨

  • Perfect home away from home in NOLA! This Airbnb is insanely beautiful and immaculately clean. I’ve stayed in a lot of airbnbs and I think this one is the most beautiful. A 15 minute walk to most districts, this is the perfect central location. Thanks for a great stay, Lindsey!

Nice little house that has a private entrance to the bedroom that connects to the backyard. BBQing & smoking outside OK, but not inside. Beautiful location near the historic Algiers Point & Algiers ferry that connects to downtown New Orleans including the French Quarter, Riverwalk Mall, Aquarium, and French Market that has numerous shops and places to eat. Local buses and trolleys take you wherever you want to go.
The private room I have it's small but it's cozy and it fits 2 very comfortable and there's another bed that is memory foam and it is just a mattress that goes to the floor. I also have plenty of extra blankets and pillows there is Wi-Fi and TV, I also provide soap towels and shampoo. there's plenty of water in the refrigerator. also there's a kitchen separating me from the guest room, so you don't have to worry about noise I don't hear anything day or night.
My neighborhood is nice all my neighbors are friendly I have a great view of the Twin Bridges from my porch I also have a great view of the bridge a block away from the Riverwalk. I have free parking and my neighborhood is very safe. it's also safe to walk at night I live in a great neighborhood.
  • Michelle's place was very small but comfortable. Michelle is a great host. She called many times before the trip to know when we were arriving and what she could do to help. When we got there, she and her family were very friendly, they cooked breakfast for us and Michelle bought a lot of fruits for us. Michelle's place is on the bus line and also close to the ferry. Michelle was so kind to give us rides to the ferry and also into midtown to take the St Charles streetcar. Definitely a great place to stay in New Orleans

    Jewel2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle, you are an amazing host, super fun and very attentive, thank you very much for your attention to us and for opening the doors of your house, we would definitely return with you, besides the location was great, very close to French Quarter, greetings and I hope that we see each other again! Warmly Isabel, Diana and Valeria ❤️

    Isabel2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle’s place offers travelers a place to rest, eat, and clean up. There’s a full size bed and also a twin mattress, but this is a very small place, so I don’t recommend trying to fit more than three humans. She offered hot coffee in the morning, and bottled water. She had sample toiletries for you to use, and if you need anything you really just ask her and she will help you out. We rode her bikes down to the levee and over the ferry into downtown ($2) about a 10 min bike ride! (Ferry is walk on or bike on only, no vehicles and connects to the downtown aquarium area) There is no central AC, and the room only has a window unit, and the kitchen has a fan. The bathroom has a vent but it got hot at some points but overall tolerable. To combat the heat, I used one of the towels and draped it over the curtain to block out more sunlight. There is only one working outlet in the room, and none in the restroom from what I saw, I recommend bringing an extension cord with 3 outlets. The shower head sits a little low and doesn’t have high pressure, I’m 5”7 and had to lean backwards and squat to wash my hair, but it does get the job done and the hot water lasts awhile! I never heard any traffic from the bridge, but occasionally heard the neighbors moving and showering, which wasn’t bad. The backyard is very nice to sit and relax, look at the various plants, and pet Missie the Cat. She has two sweet dogs (Blue & Pancho) and a friendly parrot, which you do not hear unless they are greeting you! I would suggest this to anyone who is looking for a short stay in New Orleans that will give you the feel of an *authentic* NOLA shotgun architectural style house!

  • Michelle was accommodating every step of the way! She had everything set up and ready for our arrival! It was a wonderful, perfect If you need a quick stay in New Orleans! She even had toiletries and a fresh hot coffee ready for us in the morning. One of the best hosts I have ever had, Michelle is definitely the home to go!!! Thank you so much!

    Troy2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The place was private and our dog enjoyed the backyard. She was fun and saavy host, had many local suggestions. The bed was nice as was the air conditioning. the bridge was nice to look at at night. Would stay again.

    Jennifer2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • Michelle is such a thoughtful and attentive host. My little family has traveled and stayed at guest houses all over the country and I can’t think of a more warm and welcoming visit. Michelle loves dogs and treated ours so well. It’s hard to find places that are accommodating to pets- especially in a great location, with a reasonable cost. Our room was small and cozy for the three of us- but clean, cool and comfortable. We hope to visit again sometime.

  • Danny B’s was such an amazing place for my trip to New Orleans. It was in a quiet town of Gretna that was a short Uber ride to everything I wanted. From the cute decor to the thoughtful touches my trip was amazing! The check in was so easy and the big tv was great way to wind down the day! The only thing that made me nervous was a guest next door trying to enter our house but the doors were locked and they finally figured to go next door to Jasmine Falls. The recommendations for food were very good and not far at all! Check out Cafe 615 it was very yummy! Thanks for the awesome place Daniel! We will be back!

  • Very clean and functional place it's easy and not too far to go to the French Quarter with Uber. The cost of the race is more or less $ 15. It's quiet and to go to the grocery store it's about 20 minutes walk.

    Monique2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful stay here and I am glad I chose this house for my birthday vacation to New Orleans. It was in a great location; not too close yet not too far from the city, was very clean and well decorated, and had a clean kitchen to cook in. The walkway was lovely and at night the torches were so romantic. A very nice touch. The main bedroom was comfortable as well. Overall, this house was cozy and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy a quiet yet exciting stay near New Orleans.

Located in Algiers, near historic Algiers Point, you'll enjoy a secluded and relaxing stay right on the other side of the Mississippi River from Downtown New Orleans. The apt. is directly across from The Port of New Orleans and about 10 blocks to the Algiers Ferry Terminal. The Ferry takes you across the river to the Canal St. Terminal in the French Quarter, near the CBD, The Riverwalk Outlet, Mardi Gras World, Harrah's Casino, and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The cost is $2 per trip.
Spacious One bedroom/One bath bottom floor apartment in unique house built facing the Mississippi River. The house is right across the street from the river levee and the Mississippi River Trail. The trail is a great path for walking, running, biking and so on. There is also ample scenic, pet friendly space to explore on the other side of the levee, unless the river is too high at the time.

  • A clean, spacious, and wonderful place and very private. A bit off the beaten track. We had a car but parking is so expensive that the amount saved by staying here would easily pay for rideshare.

  • Rebecca not only had an extremely conveniently located home but she was very accommodating and communicative. The flight out of New Orleans wasn’t until late that night so she pushed back the check out time. Her home was right by the ferry which made it easy to get downtown, but the true draw was the welcoming interior of the home. This will definitely be where I stay next time I visit The Big Easy.

  • Wonderful place! Not too far from the ferry and a place away from the crazy of the city.

    Francesca2020-02-25T00:00:00Z

  • The house had plenty of clean space, cable, wifi. The fridge and cabinets came stocked with the basics which was much appreciated. The location was a little off the beaten path but we got used to it. It was definitely a quiet place to unwind from the day. Its about a 15 minute walk to the ferry to get into town. The hot tub was the best part! We enjoyed it every night.

  • I needed a place on short notice and rebecca went above and beyond to make check in and check out a breeze. The place even came with a hot tub, although I didn't have the time to enjoy it. Altogether clean, safe, and comfortable.

  • This Air bnb exceeded my expectations! David was an amazing host and responded fairly quickly to any questions or concerns. I had a rental so Gretna was the perfect location to stay to get anywhere in New Orleans. I really enjoyed New Orleans and staying in this cottage. Highly recommend. Thanks David. Hope to visit again!

  • Cute and clean stay, just across the river from the French Quarter! The host was extremely accommodating and helpful. The unit was very nice, modern, and best of all - clean! Just enough space to relax, clean up, and sleep in between travels throughout New Orleans. The street felt safe and knowing the host was just next door if we needed anything was a comfort.

Built in the 1860's, "Little Orange" is half of a "shotgun"; thus, it boasts the hallmarks of traditional New Orleans architecture: 13 foot ceilings, cypress mantels, pocket doors, tall shuttered windows, and hardwood floors. The shutters are a vibrant orange to remind you of this city's Caribbean spirit. Bienvenue aux tropiques! The apartment is fully furnished and appointed, the space comprised of a living-room, an equipped kitchen, one bedroom, and small bath. There's wifi, a large flat screen TV, burglar alarm, granite counters, a deep tub, and stainless steel appliances. And a great book collection too. The apartment is designed for two people. A Comfort Dreams Select-A Memory Foam (medium-firm) Queen bed is in the bedroom, and it's very comfortable! There is no longer a pull-out sleeper couch; however, you can sleep comfortably on the standard (Restoration Hardware, down-filled) couch by simply removing the back cushions. The front porch overlooks a full block of green space (Annunciation Square Park), home to many soccer and kickball games. There's a basketball court in the park as well (and so a basketball sits in the bedroom closet for you too). I spend more time on the porch than I do in the living-room. The porch also overlooks my small--but robust!--butterfly garden where a small fountain burbles. It's a great place to drink coffee in the morning and wine in the evening, and I hope the night-blooming jasmine is working its perfume when you're here! The apartment is an easy stroll to lower Magazine Street, known for its many boutiques, antique shops, bars, and eateries, as well as to the Warehouse District/CBD and French Quarter. Please check out my map/guidebook! I've mainly tagged places to which you can easily stroll, but I'm happy to offer suggestions for outings in farther flung areas of town. The house is not far from the Convention Center, Mardi Gras World/Productions, and Second Line Stages. If you are in town for a conference/event or working on a film, my location can't be beat. Likewise, if you're in town for a game, a cheap cab ride gets you to the Super dome quickly. This neighborhood has been dubbed one of New Orleans' hottest for obvious reasons. There really is a ton to see and do (and eat) right here. For those interested in getting out to explore other parts of the city/state, it's worth knowing that my location offers convenient access to I-10. No need to traverse all of uptown or the Quarter to find the interstate. The on-ramp is three blocks away, which means the West Bank is five minutes away, the airport, 20 without traffic. If you don't have a car, the bus runs along both Magazine and Tchoupitoulas. Public "blue bikes" are one block away too. I bought this property for its convenience of location. Although the apartment is an easy distance to many hot spots, the neighborhood itself is quiet--another reason I bought this property. Your sleep will not be disturbed by traffic or street cheer. The Mississippi rolls by just two blocks away, so the hood has a sultry "edge of town" feel. I love this about it. Neither uptown nor downtown, it floats in between, spooned by the river. Regretfully, pets are not allowed. The permit number for this listing is 18STR-11965.
Lower Magazine Street is made for wandering. Just two blocks away, it offers an endless stream of boutiques, cafes, bars, coffee shops, and restaurants of all price ranges. Many guests choose to devote one full day to exploring Magazine. In terms of immediate surroundings, my neighbor is restoring a gorgeous, but semi-run-down, New Orleans Greek-revival mansion. He is doing the work himself (!) with the help of family and friends (it is an impressive undertaking), so his construction work is intermittent. Often there are sizable breaks between bursts. For the most part, it is quite quiet, but construction work does flare up from time to time. As 99% of previous reviews attest, noise is not a regular feature of Little Orange life, yet all potential guests should indeed be aware of the potential for construction noise. Whenever my neighbor communicates his work schedule, I will pass this info along to potential as well as confirmed future guests.
  • My hubby and I really enjoyed staying at Little Orange. It was just perfect for our few days in NOLA. It was perfectly located, well appointed and so comfy! Our host, Jess, was so communicative and checked in all along the way. Very clean and we look forward to staying again.

    Karla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great spot for your next NOLA trip. Jessica was very attentive and provided everything you could need. She had excellent recommendations for food and fun within the city, and she had the fridge stocked with some snacks in case you didn’t want to go out. Going out isn’t hard though, as it was an easy 10 minute walk to lots of fun shops and restaurants on Magazine Street. I thought “Little Orange” was going to be the perfect spot for my wife and my vacation, and all of our expectations were met or exceeded.

    Christopher2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Jessica is a great host, especially in terms of communication. She was accommodating of our need to drop bags off before check-in time, and even did a load of laundry for us one evening. The place is adorable, clean, and well-kept. It's not the most connected part of the city in terms of transit lines, but there were some buses nearby.

    Natalie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jess is a great host. She is very knowledgeable about the area and is quick to respond to any questions her guests may have.

    Andy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This space was perfect to come to after a day of exploring. The nights were quiet and it was an easy, quick walk to Magazine street and the upper Garden District area. The apartment was spacious and cozy. I did a solo trip and felt safe the whole time. Jessica also provides a helpful guide book and was quick to answer questions and provide instructions. If I visit again I would definitely re-book here.

    Cynthia2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good stay at Jessica's. Great Location. And being walkable to Magazine Street makes life easier.

  • This is a great garage apartment located super close to the French Quarter. The host provides a ton of amenities and local tourism guides as well as everything needed to be comfortable during your stay. The apartment was very clean upon arrival as well.

  • Perfect spot for two travelers to explore NOLA. You will need to either walk some distance to catch a bus or ferry or utilize Lyft/Uber. Great value for the price.

  • We stayed at David’s place during the last week of Mardi Gras. David not only met our expectations, but well exceeded them. David provided us with tips about the area, activities to do, and responds quickly (close to immediately). I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who is looking for a (much) more affordable location than in comparison to a spot right in the city center; which is easily accessible via either Uber or ferry.

    Patrick2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • David's place is perfect if you want to be in a quiet area but close to the action. He was extremely helpful when we needed assistance and had lots of great local tips.

    Trisha2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • David was a great host he really informed me on all the local places to visit, the place was very clean and had everything we needed for a great stay

    Chris2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The space was far better than I expected. You have everything you need here, kitchen with cookware and dishes, and a comfortable bed. David is also a great host. I appreciate the great food and event recommendations that he had. Hopefully I can reserve the space again soon.

    Michael2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • I love this place. We were celebrating my daughter's 10th birthday and we were able to get to the Riverwalk, downtown and the French quarters in less than 15 minutes driving. It was a great stay and I will be telling everyone about David's place.

Cute 2 bedroom shotgun style cottage in a quiet and safe neighborhood. 10 minutes to the Warehouse District, Convention Center and Cruise Terminal. 15 minutes to the French Quarter. Offstreet parking. Full kitchen.
The home has a shotgun style floor plan.
Near local restaurants, coffee shops and shopping.
  • David went out of his way to give us tips for the city, to leave the lights on for us as we arrived late and to check on us day after arrival via message! The place was clean and plenty of space for us. The bedrooms didn’t have doors on them which worked totally fine for us but just an FYI if you have couples who want more privacy! I would highly suggest this place! Was perfect for a girls trip :) David was a fantastic host!

    Abby2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • David was the best! He honestly sent the MOST helpful texts I’ve ever gotten from an Airbnb host. Ex, when it was colder than expected, he sent me a message letting me know that if we needed to pick up jackets, where the nearest place to do that was. The whole time was like that. Check in AND out was a breeze, and seeing David next door was always also fun! The place was clean and we had everything we needed. It was an awesome place to stay for any time, but especially for Mardi Gras. Thanks again for every tip, David!

    Francesca2020-02-24T00:00:00Z

  • Location is real good! Places close to New Orleans French Quarter are noisy for sure, and I believe everyone knows that. But this place across Mississippi river is decent quiet, safe, and convenient for uber drivers and us to Google the address. I thought it’s an old house and didn’t expect much. Upon arrival, it is an old house however the inner decoration and cleanliness is beyond imagination. The place makes travelers feel cozy and warm (each room has individual heater, including bathroom) My girlfriend and I had a great time here. Will definitely recommend!

    Daniel2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • We definitely enjoyed our home away from home at David's place. He had everything we needed and more. We will definitely recommend staying here as we definitely will in the future.. Thanks David

  • David's place was super clean, conveniently located, and perfect for our 2 night stay before our cruise out of the port of New Orleans. He offered us some timing changes on check out based on our cruise ship departure time and errands we needed to run. He was very responsive and accommodating. Thanks David. The king bed is where I slept and it was amazingly comfortable!

  • We just loved this place! We told everyone we got uber rides from that the place was a great spot to stay if they ever needed suggestions. We love the vibe, the coziness, the location, and we always felt safe. We could have honestly stayed longer on our trip and a major part of that was how much we enjoyed our room. Rome, who was running the front desk was always so friendly and professional. She went above and beyond to help me when I was having technical issues and again when she thought we left behind some property she made sure to get in contact with us. If we are ever back in New Orleans again we WILL be staying there. Who knows, maybe we will try out another room for fun since they all have a different feel.

  • Nice, clean, quiet place with an easy check in and check out! Nanyo was very communicative. We wanted a place a little farther from the French quarter and we road the ferry every day, plus we have a friend who lives in Algiers Point that we can meet up with -- this is actually little outside Algiers Point. It was a 20-25 minute walk for us to the ferry, but you can walk along the river too.

Located in Historic Gretna, walking distance to fine dining, or casual quaint cafe's! Two bed rooms, plus sofas, full kitchen, living & dining rooms, patio, and yard! We do not have central air or heat. The house is cooled or heated by window units or space heaters.
The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, located in historic Gretna. There are nice places to eat and hang out within walking distance. The Red Maple for fine wine and dine or Gattuso's local hangout for happy hour half off drinks and ...ladies drink free Wednesday nights! Down the road is the Rivershack right on the river, overlooking the city with an upper deck for hanging out under the stars!

About 20 minute drive to Old Algiers ferry to cross the river, and drops you off right by the aquarium for $2. Or, quick hop onto the interstate. • My husband and I were at Anna’s Place for an entire month. We did not want to leave!! Anna is a fantastic host and her place is generous, roomy, full of extras, and super comfy. The couch is comfy and the bed was very very comfortable. Anna provides a lot of extra blankets and pillows and towels. There are a lot of spices and condiments and pantry items and everything you would need in a kitchen. When you walk in, you’re in the living room, then you walk to the right for the bathroom and two bedrooms all very large, and if you walk to the left, you go into a large open kitchen and a huge dining room. It was way more space than we needed, we were so pleasantly surprised. Anna responded to each of our messages almost immediately. That’s always comforting to know that your host is there and Anna was there for us, but not intrusive. She gave us great tips for restaurants close by, and what notes the specials were, and I encourage you to take her up on her great tips! The location was absolutely perfect for us. There’s a Walmart right down the street (no need to get on a highway), very nice restaurants right there in Gretna, a nice park a couple doors down, the whole area is very walkable and charming. The surrounding homes are very well kept, and you can jump on the highway over to New Orleans and be in the French Quarter in 10 minutes. Parking was fantastic at Anna’s, We were very close to the door so we didn’t have to lug things very far at all. We also picked up a JET pass; that’s the bus that goes from Gretna to New Orleans. We drove our car down to the park-and-ride and got right on the bus. We never had a problem getting a space at the park-and-ride. If you’re staying a while, you can get a pass and save yourself a lot of trouble driving and parking over in New Orleans. At night, and his place was very quiet. There was never any thing that woke me up! I just can’t say enough good things about Anna’s place. If you can book her place, you should. It’s a great deal, and if you wanna be near New Orleans and in the beautiful historic town of Gretna, you couldn’t do better. In fact, my husband and I are returning to Anna‘s for another month, that’s how much we enjoyed it!

    Jenny2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • The place was actually bigger than expected, it’s a really old house but i think that’s adorable, there’s an old claw foot bathtub and it’s AMAZING to soak in. Lots of antique furniture, beds and furniture were super comfortable, smoking area out on the back porch isn’t completely private Bc you can see the neighbors but it’s tucked away from the road and seems private from people driving by. It was an amazing experience over all.

    Tess2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • What could have been a horrible problem turned out to be a non-issue! The water-heater happened to go out during our stay on a holiday of all times. Anna had someone out to check within hours of us telling her. A replacement was put in the next day, ON A HOLIDAY. Exceptional host, with an exceptional response time.

The 2 story brick out building opens to our beautiful courtyard. This room sleeps 2 in a Queen size bed, has a refrigerator, electric kettle and toaster. It shares our renovated bathroom, just steps away, with our Balcony room. Our location is unique in the city and is not a quiet residential street by day. Nights and weekends, however, are a peaceful change from the commerce serving the Port of New Orleans during the working day. Our neighbor, a wedding venue, does have music till midnight.
Situated in the old kitchen with the original cooking hearth. This room surrounds you with history and comfort. Lovingly restored with exposed cypress timbers, brickwork and wood paneling with updated insulation, A/C and ceiling fan to make sure its always comfortable. The room shares the bathroom, with the Balcony room, and is just a few steps away. On demand hot water allows the guest the luxury of long showers without running out for the next guest. A stocked refrigerator, electric kettle and toaster is everything you need to start and end the day. The Courtyard is your outdoor living room, shaded by palm trees and our fragrant orange tree. In summer months outdoor fans are provided for the comfort of our guests.
Our home since 1981, the main 3 story building and its 2 story out building are in the heart of our historic municipal square 80. We are bounded by Race, Religious, Orange and Tchoupitoulas streets. The collection of buildings that remain at our down river end of the square were built by Laurent Milladon, a French sugar planter, as rental property in the early 1830s. Today little remains of our old neighborhood but now the visitor has an expanse of urban landscape and a river vista unparalleled in the city. We are not a sleepy corner of the Crescent City. During business hours you can hear trains, ships and trucks coming and going to our busy port. After hours and on weekends though you may be serenaded by song birds, flocks of Monk Parrots in the Palm trees or live jazz bands, entertaining guests next door at Race & Religious, a wedding venue. We are uniquely located for the visitor who is here for work or play. Here are some reference points from 1503 Tchoupitoulas: 2 blocks down river to the Morial Convention Center. 4 blocks to the Second Line Studio, a full service motion picture sound stage. We are minutes away from the Central Business District, Federal courthouse and the vibrant Arts and Museum District. Canal Street and the French Quarter are just a mere 15 minute walk. Upriver and only a 5 minute walk puts you at the beginning of Magazine Street and a delightful collection of boutiques, restaurants and bars that continue up river all the way to Audubon Park. A Super Walmart is 4 blocks up Tchoupitoulas St. on the river.
  • Wonderful place to stay within walking distance of great bars, food, and sights.

  • Neil and Nancy’s place is everything you see in the pictures. It’s cute, artsy, clean and comfortable. It is located just a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarters, which is a good thing as you get to see another part of this beautiful city. What makes this place even more unique and wonderful is that Neil and Nancy are both great hosts. They make sure you’re doing well and provide all amenities. I would surely book their place again if I visit NOLA.

    Swati2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Neil&Nancy's was the perfect location for our trip to New Orleans. We stayed in the balcony room which was not only spacious, but provided some additional privacy. You do share a bathroom here, but since no one booked the room below us it was no issue. Although I do not feel like it would be if there were others staying there. They were extremely flexible with our late arrival/late departure and very responsive to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to NOLA.

    Rebekah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

    Camille2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy was a great host, super responsive and understanding. The place is beautiful and special and we had a great stay!

    Lindsay2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Just a fantastic value in a beautiful and historic room. Neil & Nancy went above and beyond accommodating us!

    Jayson2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! Arrived early Neil was super flexible and met me right on time! The place was really cool and decorated thoughtfully! My friends stayed near Harrah Casio and on good days it was a nice few minute walk to the downtown area.. the convention center was even closer..the area was quiet and felt very safe even late night. My friends saw the area and now we’re planning to rent all of the rooms and have the place to ourselves. I suggest bringing shower shoes for the walk to and from the bathroom and maybe a robe or house coat if you have room in your luggage.... I “heart” this place!

    Anton2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Neil and Nancy’s home is beautiful, just as advertised. It was so fun to stay in a little piece of New Orleans history. I do advise that you listen very closely when they teach you how to use the hot water, if you don’t pay attention you might not figure it out! Cool technology in the on demand water heater, I’m just not very savvy with it. We loved our stay, and would happily stay here again when we’re back in town.

  • We had a great stay, the place was clean & had all that we needed. Communications with Sonder was easy & they responded instantly. We were unable to get a late check out, but they provided great locations to store our bags.

    Logan2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying at a Sonder property and I would definitely do it again. Everything about this apartment was perfect - 3 very comfortable bedrooms, a large open space, a well appointed and spotless kitchen and the location was ideal. We were away from the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St but within comfortable walking distance - approximately 5-6 blocks. Hopping on the trolley to get to the Garden District was a breeze, with the trolley stop just a block from the house. You are in the city so you do hear city sounds - but after a day out playing we slept through it all. The neighborhood felt extremely safe and well lit. I would not hesitate to stay at this property again when visiting New Orleans.

    Cheryl2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Since this is a management company it’s a great mix of staying like a local but the amenities of a hotel. Very quick responses, amazing customer service. The only negative thing is that the windows are a little thin so you could hear a lot of outside noises but I’d rather take the charm of the original windows :) the balconies were great and couldn’t have asked for a better location. Close to so much in the area that was easy to walk to!

    Nikki & Ali2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • While the apartment was beautiful and well-situated, Sonder’s prompt and cheerful communication really made the experience stand out. Everyone in our party of 5 adults loved the place.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Grace and Reeves. Their space is perfectly located for adventuring in New Orleans. We enjoyed our short walk through the warehouse district to the French Quarter each day. The free parking out front in a super safe neighborhood was great. The place itself is beautiful and one of the cleanest airbnbs we have stayed at. My wife and I found ourselves consistently wondering if they would sell. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone that is visiting New Orleans. Their communication was also top notch and they were super friendly.

    Chris2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Grace and Reeves were great hosts! This listing is conveniently located, and popular attractions were only a walk or short bus ride away. The place was very clean and generously stocked, and the hosts were very hospitable and responded very quickly to us.

  • Jamie was very welcoming since the first contact. Her home is beautiful and well decorated. The room and the bathroom are spacious and clean. The pictures are accurate. The neighborhood is quiet and it seems safe. I definitely recommend the place and would stay there again.

  • One of the nicest Airbnb host I've encountered. Very friendly and even offer us a ride to get breakfast. Her home is very beautiful and the pictures does not do it justice. This place is just short drive away from the city so it's nice when you want to stay at a more quiet (and safe) neighborhood and still have easy access to the city. Definitely recommend!

    Brianna2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • First time using AirBnb and Donovan and his co-host exceeded me and my wife's any expectations that we had. Check in was easy using a lock-box; which is great for those times that you're on the road and you really don't care for small talk. The wife came in and she felt safe, and by the second day she was calling that place 'home'. It definitely helps that there are multiple security alarms along with cameras on the premises. And the location - few of the uber drivers were surprised we were out there, nothing wrong with the location, but you're right next to the locals and not up under other out-of-towners. Which is a good thing for me. I don't like going somewhere and people can point you as a tourist based on where you're at. The home was furnished with enough furniture to make you think they lived there as their primary residence; but clean enough to make you think they didn't ;) Any questions I had, they were only a text away. It may be on the other side of the bridge, but there's only so much you can take of those tourist traps - and just want a relaxing night back at the house. For the price and the space - will definitely be back - if we ever head back to New Orleans.

    Shaun2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this nice place for two rather cool November days. We came at night time, it was almost midnight. No one met us there, but I've made a call to the hoster and very soon he explained how to get in. The house was nice and warm, everything was exactly how it was described. Special thanks to the hoster for snacks, magazines, tour guides and a plenty of clean towels! For the guests: if you love hot tea, take a teapot or a small pan to boil water with you. In the house you will find only a simple coffee machine.

A miniature sized room about 2 miles to the French Quarter and 3 to the Superdome- Also you get access to a large shared living room and kitchen and backyard with a HOT TUB its a perfect spot to meet others. Best of all- you're staying at the home of Big Chief Bald Eagle of the Wild Tchoupitoulas Mardi Gras Indians so this is as New Orleans as it gets. All Profits go towards this community! Smart Lock- come and go as you please with code. one block from busses. #18STR-15746
Full size bed in private room with drawers and a tv in a communal home with access to a backyard, bicycles, and a hot tub!
We're in a low income neighborhood so if you walk to the gas station on the other side of the block at night you're going to see some sketchy happenings, but nothing aggressive.
  • Value was ridiculously amazing ❣️ soothing energy of community and positivity. Great communal space in a location so close to French quarter/food/gas. You can walk anywhere if you need to! Will stay again if I’m in the area, thanks chief

  • The place itself is clean and provides all you need. You get your own private room in a shared hostel-like house so there is a chance to meet other interesting people and travellers. Both main entrance and your room are keylock-protected, you get your own code so you don't get to meet the host at all. The location is pretty close to the French Quarter which is great!! However, the neighbourhood is pretty dodgy but so is this whole area - if this is your first time to NOLA, make sure you set your expectations correctly so you are not surprised! :) I was able to park on the street in front of the house and my car survived the night fine. Thanks for the stay!

  • Clean, and convenient to all the city has to offer, especially to the WW II Museum. It is only 4 blocks from the museum and an easy walk. A host who is friendly and who offers many great restaurant suggestions.

  • Robert is extremely friendly and always ready to suggest places to eat and things to see. The location was ideal for any one interested in visiting the French Quarter, any of the great museums, or the Garden District. New Orleans is a very walkable city with lots of unique architecture. It was great to stay in a place where you are so close to everything the city has to offer.

  • Joan's house was located in a very nice and quiet neighborhood just 10min from the French quarter. She was very quick at responding to messages and was pleasant to conversation with. She provided us with clean bed linens and went above and beyond to press the pillow cases for us. There were 2 beds in our room that were very comfortable with 7 pillows. Her bathroom was large and included clean towels and rags for our use. We were in New Orleans for a cruise and she even allowed us to park our car while we were away. We highly recommend Joan's house!

  • Joan was very pleasant and helpful! She stated she lived in the area for 30yrs so very knowledgeable of the city. Our room and bathroom were very clean with fresh linens and plenty of towels and wash cloths. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows provided. Joan and her husband live in the house, but are very quiet that you hardly realize they are there. The neighborhood was very quiet and in a safe area just minutes from the city. I highly recommend this place!

  • we drove to new orleans from southern illinois and decided on air bnb at the last minute. I messaged Joan and she responded immediately. we arrived at her house around midnight and she was more than accommodating. she made us breakfast and coffee. when it was time to make the cruise, she gave me a very good rate to leave my car at her house for the week and drove us to the pier in her vehicle and picked us up. she is very sweet and is an amazing host. she offered good tips for exploring the city and has a very lovely home. if I am ever back in New Orleans, I hope to meet her again! exceptional service!

Cute and comfortable house with super easy access to the City. Uber is about $10.
Really nice cottage off US-90 on the West Bank is ideal for all travelers. Central A/C & heat. Close to Gretna parade route with lots of off street parking. All the excitement the Big Easy has to offer is just a ten minute drive from this house. Explore the heart of the city or nearby attractions like Harrah's Casino, St. Louis Cathedral, the French Quarter, the Riverwalk Marketplace and Bourbon Street. Being just outside of downtown, but just a short distance, we have a rate that is very competitive with downtown hotels. Added to that value are no charge for parking (saving $30 per day compared to downtown).
Gretna is located across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, LA.
  • Thank you for the wonderful stay, the place was affordable, clean, in a quiet neighborhood and convenient to everything. Tony was quick to respond if I had a questions I would definitely stay here again!!

  • This place is really great and I would definitely stay here again. It was clean and I felt safe. I was able to easily catch Lyft rides to the more touristy places and I really liked being able to return to a quiet neighborhood at the end of the night.
