  • What a nice place. Although it is fairly close to the house there is a lot of privacy. The owners are very nice! Been two weeks with our son. Football and swimming every day (the pool is cold, but nice!) In the beautiful garden. Everything is present in the house and a nice place to explore the beautiful surroundings. Recommended!

  • It was perfect. From the place, clean, a large comfortable bed, a great shower, all you need to cook, and especially the breakfast offered: coffee, butter, honey jam, rusks etc ... And Veronique welcomed me to give me the keys barely an hour after I booked, one evening on weekdays. The top what.

  • A very pleasant cottage, tastefully decorated with a charming little English garden. I advise without hesitation.

    Sylvie2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage, extremely peaceful and charming village (albeit quieter than we expected). Plenty to see and visit nearby, great outdoor pool at Pontivy. Would certainly return.

  • Our stay at Guémené at Fiona was very pleasant. Arriving at the end of the day, we were able to recover the key in an agreed place. Very convenient. Thanks to Sadie. The house is very pretty, clean and functional. I was worried about the roadside situation, but in fact we were quiet. We took advantage of the garden, beautifully flowered. In fact, we felt like home !!! Guémené is a charming little town. We had all the shops nearby. We tested the 2 creperies and took the bread at the baker, as advised by Fiona, and we were not disappointed. There are many hikes to do in the area and the sea is only about thirty minutes. Personally we preferred to stay in Brittany Center, inland: the area is very relaxing and there are fewer tourists. I recommend to everyone.

    Dominique2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful house that is fantastically equipped and so cosy and comfortable! Fiona was an excellent host who communicated regularly and helped us in any way she could. I was sad to leave!

    Maggie2019-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! It was a bit quiet in the village at the end of August, but the shops that were open and the market were lovely. There was so much to do I'm sure we only scratched the surface, but worked well with our 5 and 7 year old. The welcome pack was great, and there was plenty of information about sites to see and things to do. Communication was great both with the host and housekeeper.

    Jill2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Location consistent with the photos.

    Sarl2018-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Fiona's house was fantastic. The house is very cozy, comfortable, with many details and despite appearing small comfortably accommodates 5 or 6 people. The garden is very cozy if the weather allows you to enjoy it. Bikes are appreciated as you can do several routes around. Fiona sent us all a treasure of information about the area and in the house there is a very complete guide. The village is well situated for exploring the inland area of Brittany but not far from the coast - about 1 hour by car. The village is small, authentic and there is everything: supermarket, bakeries, bars, restaurants.

    Asya2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very comfortable, it was as described online and the welcome pack was very generous. we would recommend the house to anyone.

A beautifully decorated and comfortable 2 bedroomed cottage, with delightful courtyard and garden in a quiet lane just off the high street. This is a perfect place for couples, families, and small groups who would like a getaway and enjoy the option of being close to amenities & with plenty of options to explore the countryside & coast. Guemene sur Scorff is a pretty village dating back to the 15th century, with plenty of history and was recently awarded title of "Small City of Character".
The town itself has several bars/coffee shops, splendid restaurants, a supermarket, banks, a childrens park and a small cinema all within walking distance of the house. Don't miss the Andouille festival at the end of August with Breton music and dancing in the streets attracting visitors from the surrounding area. Thursday evenings in July and August have outdoor music in front of the Chateau in the square. The Scorff Valley is rich, with protected natural and historical heritage, & has 400km of marked trails for both cyclists and walkers to discover, running between woodland and river right from the doorstep. If your a keen fisherman there are plenty of lakes around the area.
Lac du Dordu is a 10 min drive away. The beautiful beaches along the south Brittany coastline are only a 45 minute drive away & the north coast is just over an hour away. Lac du Guerledan is only 30minutes up the road & offers an array of activity from water sports, bike riding to magnificent walks. The impressive Abbey de Bon Repos with its lovely relaxing Sunday market is also just a 30 minutes’ drive. The Nante Best Canal is within 20minutes bike ride away, as too is the La Vélodyssée in Pontivy.

We simply adore the rolling Morbihan countryside, its beautiful meandering rivers set in verdant valleys and its glorious coastline with the right blend of long sandy beaches, rocky outcrops, beautiful estuaries and quaint harbours. The gastronomic delights of Brittany are on your doorstep: crepes, galetts, beurre moule, cidre, beer (the wine's not bad either) and an abundance of fresh fish and shellfish. Boulangeries with their array of breads and mouthwatering patisseries. As well as the sense of space, peace and tranquillity all make for a more relaxed way of life.

  • If you are looking for a perfect place to rest, to breath and go walking in beautiful woods, this is your Place. The cottage is lovely, perfect for a couple, everything you need is there, very clean and handy, so that you feel in your own home very quickly. My fav items: sitting in the couch and just looking at the beautiful view of this huge garden surrounded by some green woods with this tall trees, much better than any movie (priceless), the windows at night, just above your bed, where you can see the stars from your bed, just before getting a deep sleep.. Hope I will get back!

A bientôt !

  • We were in Langoëdal for a week, with Chris & John. They are the very best superhosts we have ever met. So terribly welcoming and cozy! Every day we got to know them better and had nice conversations. Their dog Malo is a darling. She often sat nice with us on the terrace. The house is lovely and has everything you can imagine. Very tastefully decorated. Spotless! We also had the garden and terrace at our disposal. Also nice that we were allowed to use the washing machine. In the village Chris and John have their own restaurant where we had a delicious dinner one evening. Furthermore, we have bbq every evening on the private terrace. We have made a number of trips from Langoëdal, also to the coast. That is a short drive away, but good to do and we took a day ahead. We are happy to come back and can recommend this stay to everyone!

    Mathilde2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t have enough words to explain how great our stay with Christine was! Christine, John and Malo (the best dog ever) are amazing hosts, perfect with the communication and any help you might need. The place is everything you would expect from an authentic cottage, renovated to include anything you might need. Add the great surrounding garden with lovely rabbits, and you get the amazing place to escape from a big city. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stay here, and would love to return once again. With best wishes, Masha and Sasha

    Alexander2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at Chris and John who were friendly, attentive and available during our stay. Thank you for everything!

    Judith2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a charming little retreat from the rat race, Christine was thoughtful and very helpful. It is ideal for family holiday use, with a big shared garden and a friendly house dog and ducks that follow you until they get wise to you, or in our case ME.

    John2018-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very good stay at Chris's. We appreciated his hospitality, the pretty cottage in the middle of nature. I also advise you to go for a walk to the pizzeria of Chris and John, we rejoiced.

    Gaëlle2018-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice hosts trying to communicate in French. The house is very well equipped, including the kitchen and there is essential for a baby.

    Rachel2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem of a cottage deep in the Breton countryside. The hosts are a lovely couple, who did everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We cooked, sipped our drinks hanging out on the deck, watched the bunnies, and all but kidnapped the family's adorable dog! Easy to do a load of laundry, too. Great base from which to explore central Brittany.

    Yvonne2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely staying. Christine is really charming and the cute cottage full equipped. We missed nothing, the house's got everything. It was so confortable that we felt immediatly like at home. The garden quite big to spend time enjoying breakfasts or dinners outside. Pets (rabbits and Mallow, her dog) so charming as her owner. Chistine and her husband made our staying so easy and friendly. We promised us to come back to this house in this marvellous area of Britanny. Thanks both! We had a safe trip back home. Do not forget to order them a delicious pizza as well! They've got a pizzeria in Langoëlan.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home and were made to feel very welcome by Monique and her family. This is a special place; tastefully decorated, comfortable, well-equipped and family-friendly with lots of outdoor space. The village is lively with lots of facilities and useful shops. It was great being right next door to their lovely restaurant and bar which we would recommend. The village had a real community feeling and is well positioned for sight-seeing and the children loved the day kayaking at the lake. Thank you!!

Verity itself is an adorable, talkative, and informative host (like an excellent Fish & Chips to visit or places to see!). Thank you !

Alice is a lovely, separate three bedroomed cottage, in a small hamlet in the tranquil Brittany countryside. With a separate, secluded garden and log fire, Alice is a perfect home from home. Outside, in the landscaped gardens, enjoy the shared heated pool, games room and boule court. Wifi is available on site. Just 5 minutes by car from medieval Guemene, with supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants and 30 mins from historical Pontivy, with the lovely South Brittany coast an easy day trip.
Alice has a lovely private garden, with outdoor seating and barbeque. Downstairs Alice has a large living/dining room, with log burner. The TV shows UK freeview channels, or French TV if required. There is a DVD player, and a selection of DVD's, plus games, puzzles and numerous books to help you relax. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine. Upstairs are three beautiful bedrooms - two doubles and one bunk room. Also upstairs is the family bathroom with bath (plus shower attachment) and toilet.
Bot Coet is in the beautiful, rural South Brittany countryside. With so much to do - walks from the door, and many more in the local area, including Lac Guerledan; visits to historic towns like Pontivy; castles in Josselin; market day in Hennebont; amazing scenery in Huelgoat and much more. Then there is the coast – an easy day trip to the beautiful coastline and beaches, islands, standing stones etc, then return from the bustle back to the tranquillity of Bot Coet. Or if you want, you can just relax and recharge your batteries with all we have to offer on site.

  • We had a great time here with my wife, my sister-in-law and her mate. The setting is very quiet - perfect for escaping the noise of the city. Carolynn and Richard were great hosts - very hospitable and kind. There are plenty of things to do in the area - you can enjoy the nice weather to visit the beach, go canoeing to Guerlédan lake and of course to the swimming pool! To recommend highly!

  • We had a lovely two weeks at Carolynn and Richard's. Very nice cottage with its private garden, the large communal garden very well maintained and the heated pool. The region is rich in various activities, especially for children. Carolynn and Richard are discreet but always available and I can only recommend a stay at home.

  • Great hosts, great accommodation, amazing bar and restaurant!! Perfect

  • Our steps had led us to the Red Clogs by chance a few years ago, we returned by the same chance recently. Each time a great pleasure, that of having a drink, to eat there, to sleep there. Friendliness of hosts, simplicity of the codes, serenity of the place, everything is there. The beer is good, the Fish and Chips as much, as for the rooms, they are beautiful, clean and comfortable. No nuisance between the two establishments (restaurant / bar and rooms). An excellent address.

  • We had booked our room that morning, and Barbara was very responsive to answer us. Barbara is available and very nice. The house is clean and welcoming: the kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom is spacious. A breakfast was offered before our departure. I recommend Barbara's house which will have been a nice stop on our trip. Good continuation ! Pauline and Yohann
