  • The house is wonderful; large, spacious, incredibly clean, and was amazing for hosting a party of 25 people for the weekend. Adrian was quick to reply to any questions that arose and was super helpful in organising the whole weekend. Would highly recommend!

  • Great stay

    David2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay- we had 20+ friends/ families on the first night, around 16 on the second. As we were a group of mixed age and gender, working out the configuration was quite difficult for us. We made the master bedroom into boy's dormitory by putting few extra mattresses on the floor which we had brought with us, which we were not charged for- , and it worked quite well. We had enough spaces for all generations, there was no feeling that the space was too tiny, even during the cold rainy days. We were allowed guests during the day and there were about 30 of us in the house at one point, but it was totally fine. The only downside might be a noise from outside, as it is nearby M40 motorway. But it did not matter to us too much as we had a lot of things to do. Thank you so much for having us, and hope to be back again soon- we absolutely loved the stay.

    Maki2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a fabulous place to stay. Loved the communal spaces which suited our group of mums and daughters so well. Good bedroom and bathroom space and comfy beds too. Would stay again.

A beautiful barn conversion in picturesque Stonor Valley, 10 mins from Henley-on-Thames. The barn is surrounded by a 5 acre garden shared with our farmhouse and enjoys spectacular views. Use of tennis court & indoor pool.
As you enter the barn through tall glass doors, you come into an open-plan sitting room, with double height ceiling and a comfortable seating area. To the right and still part of this open plan room, is a dining table that seats up to 12 and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, oven, hob and a dishwasher. Also on the ground floor are two double bedrooms and a bathroom. Upstairs, the barn is made up of two large mezzanine rooms accessed by two staircases flanking the fire place. To the right above the kitchen and dining area is a large family bedroom (described under Accommodation) and to the left on the mezzanine is a Games Room, with a full sized billiard table. The fire place is a focal point of the open plan living room and is in good working order, logs will be provided although the barn is centrally heated. There is no washing machine or tumble dryer but a laundry service can be provided at an additional cost by the owner. Accommodation: This property is advertised for 12, it is ideal for that number if shared between two families with children but for an adult group wanting their own space and privacy we would recommend it for a group of 6, two in each of the three rooms. It can be scaled up further in terms of beds to a maximum of 14 on sofa beds (x2 singles) and truckles (single bed in Master with one truckle below) and doubles (x 5 across x 3 rooms) but this is not recommended for a comfortable stay. Please note there is only one bathroom! The bathroom is spacious, with loo, sink, bath and separate wet-room shower. The accommodation comprises: x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 3 (1 double bed and a single bed, there is a truckle under this single bed so could work for two children) x 1 double bedroom that sleeps 2 (1 double bed) x 1 family bedroom / children's room - this is located on the mezzanine level and sleeps 7 (x 3 double beds and one single sofa bed). Please note that this is on a mezzanine and open to the living area below, it is perhaps a consideration for those with young children who are light sleepers and likely to be disturbed by light or noise from the main sitting room below. A travel cot is also available for small infants. In the Games Room there is a further single sofa bed if required. Tennis Court: This is right next door to the guest house and can be used by guests as they please. Swimming Pool: The indoor pool is attached to the farmhouse and must be accessed via the house, therefore it will be offered to guests between the hours of 8am and 7pm. Pool towels are provided.
The Stonor Valley is situated in the Chilterns just 10 minutes drive from Henley-on-Thames and is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The village of Pishill, is charming, it has a local pub, The Crown Inn and a 12th century church. This is a dream location for walkers and cyclists. We provide a map to help you plan walking and cycling routes. For those seeking a little culture, we are also just a mile away from neighbouring village, Stonor where the impressive country house, Stonor Park is situated amidst a stunning deer park. The house and garden are open to the public at restricted times, so check their website before planning your visit. Whilst this is a rural area, there is no shortage of good places to eat from Michelin starred restaurants to honest local pubs, many within walking distance and all listed in the information booklet, a pdf of which can be sent to you prior to your stay. If you are celebrating a special occasion, we have two 2-star Michelin restaurants in easy reach although early booking is essential. - Raymond Blanch's 'Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons' in Great Milton is 20 minutes away - Tom Kerridge's 'Hand and Flowers' in Marlow is 15 minutes away and his more casual dining tapas bar 'The Coach' is also in Marlow is great (they do not accept reservations and are very busy on Saturdays). Otherwise, for more down to earth dining, there are so many wonderful pubs to choose from serving restaurant standard food to honest pub grub. Henley-on-Thames and Marlow are both beautiful historic towns, boasting lovely walks along the banks of the Thames, good retail therapy with many boutique shops and a good selection of restaurants. Henley has a charming cinema, Regency theatre and the Water and Rowing Museum that alongside a history of rowing, tells the tale of Kenneth Grahame's 'Wind in the Willows' inspired by this stretch of the river. Boat trips, boat and canoe hire are possible from both Marlow and Henley. There are lots of events going on in the area and Pishill is the ideal place to stay of you are visiting: Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Festival, Henley Literary Festival, Garsington Opera (now located on Getty Estate just a few miles away), Ascot Races (40 minutes).
  • We headed to the barn as a plan B after our trip to Rome was cancelled, and suffice to say what a great decision it was. The arrangements were quite last minute, but everything was seamless, from securing the booking to checking out, signs of hosts who have their guests best interest at the heart of offering their accommodation. Whether you are looking for a base to hike round the glorious surroundings, venture in to the local towns, or like us, just use the property and amenities to relax, then the barn is a great option. Cherry pick any of the reviews and all the guests have a glowing tribute to this barn. It is great place and myself and friends will no doubt be back at some point in the future.

    Ben2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! 12 of us went for a long weekend away. The house is gorgeous and the swimming pool was great fun. We got taxis into Henley to do a tour of the excellent pubs. Would recommend highly.

  • We had a great time away over the new years eve break Great location, great barn and great hosts We were unsure about the one bathroom situation but with the other shower next to the swimming pool, it wasn’t a problem We would definitely consider coming back here!

  • What a fantastic location and place to stay! Sarah's Barn is spacious but cosy and with our dog the garden and walks nearby were just fantastic - we also enjoyed the tennis/swimming pool. Some lovely pubs nearby and of course Henley within easy reach. For a family get together I could not recommend it more highly - Thanks Sarah!

    Fee2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah’s house made a wonderful and relaxing city escape. It rained a lot but we were cozy inside and the kids kept busy in the pool.

    Virginia2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic property with many amenities. Sarah was a personable and easily contactable host. Inside the property has been done to a very high standard; alongside beautiful grounds and surroundings. Stayed here in the run-up to my wedding with my ushers and I am very happy I chose to do so. Would recommend to anyone looking for a property/accommodation in this stunning area

    Jake2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was such a great host making sure absolutely everything was covered before we arrived, pin pointing the property from both directions, which was so helpful! The view from the house was stunning, not to mention the property itself. We cannot fault this house. Definitely recommend to friend groups, families, literally anyone. There is something in the local area for everyone. We also rate Hobbs of Henley for boat hire!

  • Alex is an incredible host, very attentive and welcoming. We only spent a night at her place and she couldn't have been more accomodating, from suggesting places to have dinner to pointing us to an ideal parking space in Windsor. The room was impecable and the ensuite facilities were definitely great to have as it gave our stay a more private feel. Would we recommend Alex's place...? Absolutely!

  • Alex provides very comfortable and spacious accommodation in a good location very close to Maidenhead town centre and station. She is a charming and helpful host and her house is very quiet and clean. We have stayed twice and enjoyed both experiences.

  • Alex is very hospitable. Her home is clean and extremely comfortable. We stayed in the super king room, it was incredibly spacious, bed was amazing. Large en suite, shower brilliant. Shower gel etc all included. And even a bottle of water on the bedside cabinets.

  • Spotless apartment in lovely setting, really enjoyed the view and log fire especially! Arriving in rain and dark a little tricky to find but it's worth it! Really quick communication from Katie to any queries. Recommend Bull and Butcher for food just be careful about availability of taxis and be prepared for price (given they're coming from High Wycombe).

    Marianne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give Katie's place 10 stars, I'd give it 12! The cottage is such a babe! It's spacious, well-looked after, cosy, welcoming and just the perfect place for an escape to the countryside. I highly recommend Katie's cottage to will definitely stay again!

    Aljona2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were actually a little surprised at how big the place was, as we were expecting a slightly more compact area. It is delightfully located with very very quick access from the motorway and yet a plethora of walks around with wonderful options for food as well. Katie was brilliant. Offering help, advice and a personal touch without being too encroaching. Highly recommended!

    James2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's beautiful house is surrounded by gardens and scenery that looks straight out of a postcard. So peaceful and comfortable, we enjoyed day trips to many lovely nearby towns and relaxing by the fire in the evening. Can't wait to visit again in the future!

  • Beautiful Cottage in an amazing, peaceful location. I especially enjoyed the lovely log burning stove in this cold weather along with the delicious fruit juice each morning.

    Tim2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and spotlessly clean. Felt bigger than it looked in the pics. Hosts lovely. Comfortable and big bed with nice view of garden and little chairs outside. We were not sure if we could drink water from bathroom tap so would suggest take some bottled water. Nice yogurt supplied with breakfast. We had a really nice stay! Thank you.

*Currently closed due to Covid-19 Thanks for stopping by and taking a closer look. My place is situated close to High Wycombe (mainline to London Marylebone), M40 motorway and surrounding towns/villages: Marlow, Henley-on-Thames and Maidenhead. Good for business travellers, offering an inexpensive alternative to a hotel: with a kitchen and sitting room at your disposal. The room is available from Monday to Friday. I'm happy to accept fortnightly bookings, whereupon I can offer weekend stays.
The guest room is situated at the back of the house, so there's very little noise. Plenty of storage space (wardrobe and chest of drawers) and a comfortable bed with bedside table. Towels in the top drawer and spare pillows in the wardrobe. The room is cosy, but there is a small fan heater available if required.

Extremely attentive and went out of their way by offering to transport us around the High Wycombe/London area. Such a huge bonus for us and made our trip one for memory lane. We will be back.

  • Ian was a lovely host who was interested to get to know a bit about me and tell a bit about himself when I arrived over a cup of tea. After that we were both very busy so unfortunately we didn't get a chance to catch up before I left but I had a really good stay. Check-in with the little key pad box at the door was super easy and meant that I didn't have to worry about losing the key while I was out and about. The room was a bit bigger than it looked in the picture and there was a nicer little table/desk than in the picture so that was great, very useful. There was the opportunity to use the living room and kitchen as well, and the lovely garden with views of the make beyond. Very reasonably priced too, really can't fault, so would stay again in future if the opportunity arises.

Henley River and Rowing Museum is down near the river, near the Station and Greys Court, Cliveden and Nuffield Place are all within easy reach by car.
  • Privacy and a great big smile!

  • If you need to be in Henley on Thames then don't worry about the rest stay with Nicola. The ensuite room was delightful and the breakfast provided was more than was expected. The house is a twenty minute walk into town downhill all the way but would advise a taxi, if arriving from the station, as it is a bit of a hill to drag a suitcase up. Taxi fare was five pounds. I would have no hesitation staying there again in the future and wish Nicola well for future bookings.

  • Clean, comfortable room. Less than 15 mins walk from Henley town centre.

  • Nicola,s place was very nice and clean. It was a nice walk into Henley where there are lots of eating places. Comfy bed and added breakfast was nice. Nicola was a good host and she let us arrive earlier which allowed us to do more. There was a nice walk from her house in the morning thank you

    Jane2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nicola’s home is warm and welcoming, with a very comfortable bedroom and bathroom. I appreciated having a car to enable me to explore the town and surrounding area - there is lots to do and see, and some great places to eat in Henley. Would thoroughly recommend

Contemporary home with lots of natural light. Situated within three minutes' walk of Marlow High Street, with its many bars and restaurants, including Michelin-starred Tom Kerridge establishments. Only a few minutes' walk from the train station and the River Thames. A few minutes' drive to the A404 with fast access to M4 and M40. Only eight miles from Henley-on-Thames, with its Regatta and Festival.
The room is quiet and light, the house perfectly positioned for access to Marlow High Street, the train station and motorways to London. The bathroom is next to the room, and you'll be the only occupant on the floor (with occasional exceptions, indicated to you in advance).
The neighbourhood is very quiet and attractive. Despite this, the house is only 3-5 minutes' level walk from the town centre, the park and the river Thames. There is a wonderful selection of bars, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.
  • Another lovely stay here. Susanna went above and beyond to help with check in and was a great communicator in advance of the stay. Really nice place to stay and excellent links to nearby amenities. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • James' lovely cottage in the English countryside was a dream. Such a sweet spot to take in beautiful scenery, walking through rolling fields with sheep to the local pub, or along the river, which is very close, was just amazing. The community is so charming, everyone is so friendly. Henly is an easy 10 minutes bus from the cottage with shopping and markets as well as easy connections to London, about an hour and a half from the front door of the cottage to Paddington Station. The cottage was comfortable and well appointed, the only downside being a little trouble with wifi and cell service because the area is a tad remote. It worked for us but would be difficult if you need a fast reliable connection. James and his family went out of their way to welcome us and made our stay as perfect as we could hope for, they are wonderful hosts!

  • Fantastic little self contained flat in James’ garden, with all you could need for your stay. James left us a selection of breakfast supplies, which was awesome - and he gave us a top-tip for a local pub called the Flower Pot, a short walk across the Thames from the flat. A really enjoyable stay.

  • It’s nice to have the small kitchen space downstairs to start the the day. Liz has assorted breakfast items available fresh bread for toast and a few cereals with milk. I was there long term and bought other meal stuff and managed quite well.

We are only a 4 minute walk from the Smae Institute and close to Maidenhead Office Park. We are within easy reach of the A404 and only 2 minutes from the M4. There is a grocery store 30 yards away and several pubs within walking distance.
Our house is a semi detached house with a cottage style garden. The unit is a brand new beautiful conversion on the ground floor with a separate entrance and parking. You have your own private wet room with a rainfall shower and underfloor heating throughout the unit. There is a large smart TV with Netflix, freeview etc. You have your own kitchenette in the unit, which has a microwave, kettle, toaster, induction single hob with some cooking utensils, plates and cutlery. We also provide tea, coffee, salt and pepper and olive oil.
We are conveniently located near shops, a park and National Trust Woodland as well as several pubs.
  • Great place to stay convenient to M4 and major routes to anx from London area

Beautifully clean and comfortable, every need catered for, and the added bonuses of Netflix on the TV and parking space. Just a five minute walk to the SMAE Institute, so perfect if you’re attending there. Superb value for money, I recommend 100%

This quaint little cottage is a family home offering some Scottish hospitality in the heart of the Thames Valley. Thames Mount Cottage is on a quiet country lane a short walk from the heart of this pretty village on The Thames.
Wargrave has a variety of pubs and restaurants in the heart of the village, including one fronting the River Thames. The village has its own railway station with services to Central London. A short drive from the M4 and M40, it is also handy for Heathrow airport and Reading. Wargrave is also a short local train ride from Henley-on-Thames where the world-renowned Henley Royal Regatta is held annually and just a few miles from Windsor.
  • Always a great stay!

  • Helen’s place is such a treat. She is very thoughtful, even putting a hot water bottle in the bed for me. She cooks up a fabulous breakfast too. The shower is blissful and I really liked the decor of the place. I’ll be looking for reasons to come back! Cosy and warm :)

  • Helen is a lovely host, the room is very country cottage with white washed wooden floors and rugs thrown down. I had a lovely night and a very delicious and very large breakfast. I was cycling the NCN route 4 and Helen's is enroute so perfect location for me :-)

    Carmen2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Faultless. Wonderful breakfast, comfortable room, nice amenities, great location and a very friendly, thoughtful and warm heated hostess, Helen. She even gave us a lift to the local pub where we were attending a function. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in and we look forward to coming back.

My home is spacious and homely and a great place in which to relax, it has as very cosy feel and I also have two playful kittens.
£25 price for the Double bedroom and £17 price for the Single bedroom.
My road is leafy and there is a beautiful park behind the house. Maidenhead station is about a 20 minute walk away, 5 minutes by car. There are some lovely walks in quite close proximity. The nearest shops are a 5 minute walk away. Maidenhead offers a wide choice of eateries. Windsor is close by and there is easy access to London from the railway station.
  • Rose immediately made me feel very welcome in her home, and I was grateful to be able to prepare my own food in her kitchen. The bed was super-comfortable, in a large quiet room. My work trip was cut short due to the Corona Virus, but I’ll be sure to rebook once this period of uncertainty is over. Thank you for your hospitality, Rose, and stay safe X

  • Comfortable, convenient location, very quiet, great host

    Robert2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • A pretty little place to stay close to Maidenhead and Marlow town centres. Rose was a lovely host and made me feel very welcome.

    Darren2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rose's home was exactly as described and her communications before my visit even though I booked at short notice were quick and efficient. The room and facilities were excellent value for money; I took the smaller bedroom which was fine for my one night stay, and it was great being able to use the kitchen to make drinks, have breakfast etc, clean and pleasant bathroom and able to park on the driveway - and Rose was a very friendly host.
