Beautiful, sunny top floor of 1860's house in the Catskills village of Bloomville. Open-plan, airy, private, with king-size hand-made bed, free-standing claw-foot tub, windows on all sides, exposed beams. The room is the entire third floor of the renowned café Table on Ten.
Beautiful, sunny top floor of 1860's house in the village of Bloomville, Northwestern Catskills. Open-plan, airy, bright, private, with king-size hand-made bed with, free-standing claw-foot tub, sitting/reading area, windows on all sides, exposed beams. CAFE HOURS: the attic is available every night (2 night minimum) but the café itself is open Thursday through Sunday. If you are considering booking for Monday-Wednesday, we will not be downstairs providing food (although there are other options locally). Private, en-suite bathroom. Wireless satellite internet, Tivoli audio radio/iPod dock, vintage record collection and turntable, stainless steel cooler. The room is the whole third floor of the renowned café Table on Ten in the heart of a small Catskills village. The café was recently featured in Condé Nast Traveler, Bon Appétit, Vogue, Time, Travel + Leisure, Martha Stewart Living, The New York Times, Wilder Quarterly, Remodelista. The attic inherits the cafe's style and aesthetic - clean, simple, open, friendly. By staying on with us, you become a de facto member of the amazing community that congregates downstairs; venture down and enjoy the food (gathered from local farms, dairies and producers), join in a workshop, browse the microshop, or just sit, drink coffee, read or work at your laptop. And you can retreat to the top of the house whenever you wish. Come down to sample the pizzas from the wood fired oven on Friday & Saturday evenings, participate in workshops, other events. Or just lie back and take it easy. Check out our Table on Ten Guidebook for area recommendations (link above the map). Because we're a cafe, health regulations stipulate no dogs in the building. Relaxing or deep-muscle bodywork is also available on site from Victoria Lundell, at reasonable rates, in our own designated room. Bookable through Table on Ten in advance. Whilst not strictly a bed & breakfast, easy access to Table on Ten during its working hours facilitates you being able to enjoy breakfast and lunch on those days without having to adhere to a predetermined timetable. Cafe hours: Thursday-Sunday 9am till 2pm (brunch) Friday & Saturday 5pm till 9pm (wood-oven pizza) Closed Monday-Wednesday No need to stop on the way for wine or groceries. We have a wine and beer license and you can bring it up to your room. Great area for hiking, bicycling, visiting antique stores, yard sales, skiing and snowshoeing in winter, horseback riding, the Book Village of Hobart, Bovina, Delhi, Andes, Meredith, Cooperstown and many other undiscovered villages nearby. We can point you to trails, swimming holes, pack you a picnic, recommend farm-stands, other places to eat, walk, ride. Or you can just stay close and enjoy the life in and around Table on Ten and its friends.
  • If you're looking for a relaxing time and easy access to a number of spots in Upstate, I highly recommend staying at Table on Ten. The food was delicious, and the attic space was really great. The books and records are a nice touch, and there were definitely a few in there I took the liberty of listening to and reading. Thanks again for the nice weekend, hope to come back soon!

  • We had a blast! This was our second visit to the Attic. The bed is heavenly and you can’t beat running downstairs for incredible pizza and wine.

  • This place is amazing and very much worth the trip. Amazing food, incredibly cool room, and in a beautiful pocket of the Catskills. Order the mushroom pie for dinner, and the white eggs skillet for breakfast. Don't forget the pie and the cookies!

  • Amazing stay upstate. The room is beautiful - records, puzzles and spacious vibe made it a super relaxing getaway. Go during the weekend to try to amazing pizza and brunch downstairs!

  • A beautiful space. Very clean and stylish, and with delightful food just a floor away! Feels even more spacious than the pictures look.

    Christian2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend in the attic was nothing short of magical. We were looking for a romantic getaway where we could relax and enjoy each other’s company, and this was the perfect place to do it. Inez and Val were incredible hosts and checked in with us on our way in because it had begun snowing and they wanted to make sure the restaurant didn’t close before we arrived so we could eat. The food and wine at the table was delicious and body work sessions with Vicky left both of us feeling open, aligned and deeply calm. Definitely look at the guide that Inez provides - we went to Blue Bee, Hollow and Brushland Eating House, each of them phenomenal. Pro tip: bring bubble bath for the luxurious bath tub. You won’t regret. We can’t wait to return!

Feeling all at once close to town center and yet completely enveloped in mountaintop thicket, this idyllic perch above Bovina sets the scene for many a cozy adventure - snowshoeing and fireside cider in the winter, hammock swinging and pond dipping in the summer. Set atop Bramley Mountain, Owl's Nest boasts cathedral ceilings, an open first floor for lounging & entertaining, a wood-burning stove and two separate, cozy bedrooms upstairs.
  • Sparkling clean, perfectly secluded, beautiful grounds -- this place is the real deal. Pictures are accurate, no catches or gotchas. Sohail is super responsive and chill. Highly recommend.

  • Great spot

    William2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED our stay. The location is perfectly secluded and quiet and felt very ‘off the grid’. The property is beautiful and we loved stomping around with our littles being in nature and sledding in the snow. There isn’t too much around which makes it the perfect little getaway. The aesthetics of the space is super comfortable and simple. Such a cozy stay (my kids are already asking to go back!).

    Alexa2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great trip and would certainly go back again. This is one place that is actually as beautiful as the pictures! The cabin is wonderful, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, and there are plenty of woods to tromp around. Our kids loved it too! We cook a lot, probably more than most, and could have brought a few more kitchen things from home. That certainly didn't detract from out trip. The style is minimalist throughout which makes for a clean, calm stay. It was a great change of pace.

    Greg2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very pretty place, was very beautiful in the snow.

    Omkar2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is the kind of space that you walk into and immediately wish was your own. It’s a beautiful, rustic, minimalist space with perfect, gorgeous details. This was my second time here and it won’t be my last.

  • A little slice of heaven. Easy and simple process to check in and out and have privacy. We loved every bit of time and relaxation we got at the schoolhouse and absolutely loved every one of Meg and Joe’s recommendations. Thanks again!

    Elysse2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The schoolhouse is an awesome place that truly gives you the upstate feel you're looking for. Joe and Meg are great hosts and there are plenty of things to do in the neighboring towns. Can't wait to go back!

    Bill2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful stay at Joe and Meg’s schoolhouse! The space was adorable and cozy. Amenities-wise, we had everything we could have ever needed—all sorts of kitchen tools, board games, books, candles...the stove was being repaired during our stay, but we were still easily able to cook a full meal on the hot plate provided. The location was beautiful and remote but still within a quick drive of all the nearby towns—would definitely recommend taking a trip to Dirty Girl Farms in Andes to pet the goats and Po the sheepdog! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Camille2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute little house with a stunning view on the mountains around. Ideal for a romantic getaway. Highly recommended.

    Gregory2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in their place. The setup was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location was beautiful and had nice walking paths all around. Very happy with our experience, thank you. Also loved all of Joe's recommendations!

    Naomi2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay at the schoolhouse! Place is just as beautiful as described, and the view is even more spectacular. We spent most of our time enjoying breathtaking nature, making campfires and reading on the brand new deck. The house is quiet and private, it is situated on the road, but very few cars pass by. Truly the perfect mix of deep-woods relaxing while still being a short drive from great restaurants, shops and farms. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you, Joe and Meg!

    Carla2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A picture-book experience. The new deck is a wonderful addition where you can have dinner under the stars. Very romantic, perfect for a couple.

    Elisabeth2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay. Beautiful view and cozy cottage. Everything is set up really thoughtfully. Would definitely return.

    Erik2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is just as nice as advertised! It is a very comfortable space to place and in a beautiful setting. I had a wonderful stay. Stewart was always very responsive to questions and even cleaned the snow off my car! 😊 And then there is the official welcoming committee, JoJo, who is the cutest dog you have ever seen. I will definitely stay again when I am in the area!

  • Private, clean, and scenic!

    Will2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was lovely! We stayed for two nights, the place was clean, new, and had beautiful views. It was a lovely quiet place to get away from everything. Stewart and Katherine were excellent hosts. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

    Noah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what I needed for in a quiet weekend away to write. The hosts were very welcoming and I very much enjoyed meeting Jojo. The view from the living room was very serene. The bathroom and kitchen were also accommodating with everything I needed for my stay. The hosts next door were quiet and courteous, and took care of the snow removal along the cottage as well.

    Robin2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space with a great view. Everything was very comfortable, the hosts were friendly and helpful (especially JoJo the dog!). Close to town but also lots of space for the dogs to run and for humans to hike around. I imagine it’s wonderful in the summer as well. They even provided my dog with her own towel which was a touch we loved. We’ll be back!

    Karina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy and Stewart and JoJo were great hosts. The place is as described and was very clean. There is a beautiful creek and woods for hiking. Our dog loved playing with JoJo and overall we had a lovely stay. Would recommend for those looking to explore the Catskills and charming towns of Delhi, Bovina and Andes nearby.

  • I have to say, out of all the Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at, this was by far the best! Douglas thought of absolutely everything! I felt so at home without actually being at home. I definitely will be returning!

    Jennifer2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful! We came in winter to do some hiking and Doug provided maps and trail suggestions to make this easy. The kitchen was well-stocked with much more than expected which was a pleasant surprise. We had plenty of comfortable room for 5 adults. Cell service is poor as mentioned in the listing, but we were able to get to the house with no problems and the Wifi worked great once we where there. Doug was quick to respond and provided a lot of useful information about the town and house. If you're planning on coming in winter, an all-wheel drive vehicle or snow tires are recommended as the house is up a steep driveway and the surrounding roads are steep and may not be plowed. The house's driveway was plowed for us during our stay.

    Christine2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Doug’s place is super clean and well equipped with everything you need! Such a cozy stay. Would definitely book again!

    Samantha2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful small home off the beaten path with a fully stocked kitchen, large common space for gathering and games. Three great bedrooms. Directions and instructions very clear, even winding our way after dark. We stayed only a night but would love to explore another time.

    Marie2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great clean house with an open layout.

    Riccardo2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean with all the amenities you could need! We stayed whilst we attended a wedding at Stonewall Estates. It was a great location for us and we couldn’t recommend Doug’s place enough!

    Megan2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at your place...very comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for your great hospitality. Susan, Nancy and Diane.

    Susan2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Doug's place. There were six people in our group to attend a wedding nearby, and we were very comfortable. The house was clean and spacious. Doug was a responsive host, and the checkin process was very easy. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again.

Small cozy cabin that my father originally built for hunters. After I graduated from high school I lived in it for 12 years. 2 of which was with my now husband. Small open cabin with loft. Ladder to loft space and two twin beds. Small bathroom. Kitchen. Kureg coffee pot.
5 miles outside the village of Delhi and SUNY Delhi. Within an hour drive of Cooperstown NY and 30 minutes from Oneonta.
We live on a dead end road with very little traffic. Very peaceful and quiet. We are around and very active in outdoor activities on the weekends.
  • Debbie was so warm and welcoming. The cabin was exactly what we needed - the perfect place to crash after a wedding. It’s in a beautiful spot and I only wish we had more time to explore it!

  • Great home and host!!!

    Abby2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie's place is full of charm- my favorite part was the hand-made fire-pit bbq! Wayne checked us in, and gave us a tour of some of the property. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and hilarious. I can't wait to come back when the weather is warmer to use the swimming pond!

    Lauren2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie’s place was just what we needed and she was very flexible with check in and adding on extra days as we realize we would be staying longer. Great and fast communication.

    Andrea2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect, peaceful little cabin to decompress in. This little space had everything you need and is surrounded by beautiful nature and ponds. The stream just off the back door is the perfect spot to have a morning tea. The town of Delhi has lots to offer. Debbie was responsible and super accommodating to our later than expected arrival. The cost of the space can’t be beat!

A bright, clean 2 bedroom + living room apartment in a 100 year old historic house in the heart of Delhi. Short walk to coffees, restaurants, stores. Close to hiking, fishing, golf and skiing.
We are Anna and Kursten, two designers from Brooklyn. We bought this house last year and started refreshing it this summer. We love Delhi and the neighborhood of the Division Street - it's the best small town community here in Delhi! Next to being close to hiking, fishing and all the goods Catskills have to offer, here you have the opportunity to walk over to Cafe Blue Bee for the best cupcake of your life, or to shop from the diverse, vibrant and dedicated vendors at the Delhi Farmers’ Market (held every Wednesday) or the amazing vintage shop right on our corner. ------- About the apartment: CHECK IN: To make it easier for you, we have a lockbox installed for easy check-in. The apartment has one sun drenched living/dining room, a big kitchen with all necessary equipment, a big and sunny bedroom with a full size bed and a small bedroom with a full size bed. The bathroom has a shower (no tub). There is a backyard as well, we are currently landscaping it, but please feel free to use it. -- House Rules The apartment is STRICTLY NON-SMOKING, but you are welcome to smoke in the backyard. We love animals, but because of a couple of bad experiences pets are sadly not allowed in the apartment, nor in the backyard. Please respect our neighbors and don't make any noise between 9PM-8AM. Please recycle your trash, there are two marked bins for waste in the kitchen. We ask you to use the apartment as if it was your home, and if possible leave it in the same condition as how you found it. We provide slippers for our guests to wear inside the house (optional)
Nestled in the foothills of the magnificent Catskill Mountains, Delhi offers so much to visitors. The area is anchored by the quaint college town feel of the bustling Main Street (Excellent wine store Dixie's, coffee&restaurant Blue Bee (their pastries are exceptional), pubs (there is an great cocktail bar & restaurant right next door called Hollow), local stores (Good Cheap Food is a great little grocery store with local produce), vintage clothing stores, farmer's market) while also offering the magnificent splendor of agricultural landscapes and fantastic surrounding towns. Go on a farm tour, on a hike, golfing, tubing, check out the local museums - Delhi has it all!
  • Cute little place, as described, right in the heart of tiny Delhi. The new fabulous restaurant Hollow, made this a perfect location. Lots of space, and comfy beds.

  • Anna’s place was amazing! My girlfriend and I were looking for an affordable place close to catskills for weekend winter hiking. Anna’s place is a real gem, and was perfect for what we were looking for. We love the floor heating system (and it’s cleanliness), large kitchen, comfortable bed, linens, and condiments in the kitchen. We’d definitely stay here again!

    Sham2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

    Rachel2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

  • Delightful, sparkling clean, stylish place ! We were here to visit suny Delhi and the space was perfect for a couple with 2 teens. The apartment is a very peaceful, soothing spot ! It’s an easy walk to many restaurants and there is a very cool, upscale ( but quiet) cocktail bar 2 houses down. Thoughtful amenities, like coffee, tea, chocolate and yummy smelling soap completed our experience. A perfect getaway!

    Katherine2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Anna’s place is a wonderfully accessible spot for a quick stop in Delhi. Close to amenities and thoughtful touches throughout the home made it an easy getaway.

PLEASE READ: Enjoy a weekend away in the Catskills in our guest cabin set on 35 beautiful acres! We have chickens running around, fresh fruits and veggies to harvest, and mountainous land to hike. We also have a pond for swimming and lounging in the summer. THE CABIN DOES NOT HAVE INDOOR PLUMBING OR RUNNING WATER AND SO DOES NOT HAVE A SHOWER. We have a composting toilet in the cabin along with a wash basin for cleaning, as well as a solar outdoor shower bag that hangs nearby outside.
The cabin is set on the side of a quiet road, and the main house where we live is about 50 feet away. Inside the cabin there are two rooms: one acting as a common area with a kitchen table and cabinet with amenities (dishes, hot water kettle, microwave, toaster oven, French press, coffee, and tea) a sofa (with a pull out bed), DVD player, stereo, mini-fridge, two large water containers filled with fresh, filtered water from our spring, a wash basin, washcloths, and private compost toilet. The other space is a bedroom with a full bed, up a few steps from the common area, but it does not have a door to separate the two spaces. There is wifi access in the main room of the cabin. We also have a small pack n' play for an infant if desired. For guests staying more than one night, we will empty and clean the compost toilet each day while you are out. We also wash all your used dishes, refill the water containers, and provide clean washcloths. We also run a small farm on our land, and July through September there are fresh fruits and vegetables for sale at our farm stand, or guests are welcome to explore the garden and pay separately for whatever they want!
Downtown Delhi is a small village about a 7 minute drive from our house. This is where SUNY Delhi is located, in addition to a couple of great cafes, a food coop and grocery store, an art cooperative, and a few stores carrying antique and local wares. Andes and Bovina are only 20 minutes away, and they offer more delicious restaurants, a beautiful cidery, and easy hiking trails. In the other direction is Walton which has a bunch of great antique shops. There is a binder in the cabin detailing all the many places to visit and enjoy in Delaware County!
  • This what a great place to stay that was extremely close to the town of Delhi where the restaurants and shopping areas were, making it easy to travel back and forth. Jenine was very nice and helpful and made it a point to meet with us and introduce herself. We stayed in February on a night with a very low temperature and because of that it got extremely cold in the middle of the night but other than that, great place all around.

  • Great weekend breakaway in a cosy home!

    Justus2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jenine's was *amazing* ! I stayed in winter and it was toasty warm - and way bigger than I expected! There is a giant living / dining area (stocked with DVDs and games) with a compost toilet and wash basin. Then there is a separate room (adjoined by a doorway with no door and some pretty windows) that is also quite large with a changing area and dresser. Lots of space! I would say definitely plenty for a couple to stay there, and though I did not check out the sleeper sofa, I'm sure three would be comfortable too, or perhaps a small family. In any case, Jenine is super responsive and helpful, so if you have any questions, just ask! She met me upon arrival and all of her restaurant and hiking recommendations were right on the nose. I did the beautiful Palmer Hill Trail and the nature preserve - really great hikes on icy days (safe even without spikes), very beautiful. There were great places to eat locally sourced food and drink, from coffee spots to a nearby cidery and all. I bet this place is dreamy in the summertime too! I stayed for a few days and had no problem without a shower, just needed a gentle wash up. Jenine takes out the used water each day and makes sure you have fresh water, fresh compost toilet, fresh towels, and clean dishes. The whole place was super comfortable and clean!

  • Jenines place is definitely worth staying at. She has a beautiful lot of land with much to offer. It’s a very rural feel, up high surrounded by huge trees. It was stunning :)

  • A very nice place to relax and enjoy the nature.

    Maria2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Jenine and her family were so sweet and great hosts. The cabin was especially clean and comfortable. Lots of land and trails through the meadow to explore. Close to the town of Delhi, we suggest grabbing a bite at Hollow!

    Megan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with an even better hostess. If you’re ever in/around Delhi, make sure to stay with Jenine!

    Eddie2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a country idyll. Included are gracious hospitality, stylish shabby chic furniture, and close proximity to adorable children, chickens, and a small working farm. The only thing not included is running water, but I found living with a pitcher and basin and a compost toilet to be a perfect one day sojourn in the 19th Century. Best of all is hostess Jennie, a smart, loving presence if ever there was one. Go, ask her for suggestions, and take your small children—-they will love the garden and especially the chickens.

A log cabin nestled atop a mountain in the Western Catskills. Watch the sunset from the front porch (or salt water hot tub!), take a nap in the hammock, hike around the land, listen to vinyls—all while taking in the spectacular views and fresh mountain air. The cabin has two bedrooms with tempurpedic mattresses (one queen and one full) and a queen bed in the basement. If needed, the futon in the living room can also sleep two. IG: @thecatskillscabin
The cabin is situated on 4.2 acres of very private land, located 2,400 feet above sea level with spectacular views into the valley below. We’re located 3 hrs from NYC (2.5 from the GW Bridge), and 30 minutes from Roscoe which is home to some of the best trout fishing on the East Coast. There is full cell phone service at the cabin (both Verizon and AT&T) as well as wifi. Outdoor activities in the area include hiking, kayaking, fishing and swimming at the local swimming holes nearby. We recommend driving a more rugged car if possible, as the driveway is dirt and loose gravel. The cabin is pet friendly. Shoot us a message with any additional questions! ** From a recent renter** "Staying at this cabin is like having a somewhat profound travel experience because – of course, the view. But more than that, it’s about being in nature from this height, from this vantage point. The weather on the mountain is so diverse – on a single sunny day the wind will kick up, die down, do things because of the cycle of the day. You see all sorts of cloud patterns -- cumulus, cirrus, flowing overhead and below you. Sunsets blaze from orange to red to purple, setting later and lasting seemingly forever, kind of like watching the sun set from an airplane. Perhaps also because of the altitude (2400 feet) and the lack of light pollution I saw more stars than anywhere I’ve been east of the Rockies.. On clear mornings a blanket of fog slowly burns off the valley. Red-tailed hawks surf the wind currents. The landscape here feels alpine, not because the inclines are so steep or the elevation is so very high but because of the closeness of the hills to one another, snug and intimate. I almost expected to hear cowbells from the valley below." - Leslie
  • Amazing place perfect for a weekend getaway!

  • A perfect retreat with spectacular views, charming accommodations, a warm fire, and lovely hosts. Will be back!

    Christian2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. It is warm and cozy. The driveway and street can be difficult to get up and down without a four wheel drive especially with any wet or inclement weather. Hot tub isn’t working 100% but the cabin is clean and inviting, the views are great and the local towns are friendly with great antique stores!

    Antonia2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • My grandfather owned this cabin when he was alive and we spent so many weekends up there growing up. I booked right away when I found it on here for my family and I. It was bittersweet being back. Yi-Mei and Gray are incredible hosts and have done such a great job keeping this place so beautiful and homey. What you see is what you get! This place is worth every penny. The coziest decor and even better views. We will definitely be back and are so excited to make new memories at the cabin.

  • Sparkling clean, stylish, quiet, warm, and cozy. The full kitchen allowed us to cook our own delicious meals while we enjoyed listening to music and making a fire in the stove. Netflix movie on the wide-screen TV was a real treat since we don't own a TV ourselves. Couldn't ask for a nicer getaway in the Catskills.

    Audrey2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Johanna & Renaud’s place is a lovely place to stay in Andes. It’s cozy, thoughtfully decorated and it gets really beautiful light during the day. We appreciated how quiet it was: it feels private and tucked away while still being a short three minute drive to the main street/Wayside Cider. The nursery was a huge bonus for us, we traveled with our 17 month old son. We really appreciated not having to bring up most of our baby gear!

    Tara2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Johanna & Renaud's place was great! Cute, clean and very close to downtown Andes. I was a bit skeptical about all the rules and fines they had as I had not seen that on other properties I've stayed at but everything turned out good! It was a great place to check out and relax as it is super quite in the area.

  • This place is very private, has a good drive way, it was winter so the lake was frozen and snow covered the ground which was awesome. the host are quick to respond and very friendly. the two heating units worked extremely well and had the cabin warm in no time. the barn had a bunch of different games from ping pong to darts as well which was fun to play around and compete against each other.

  • Great place with nice view especially in the morning one of the best cabins i stayed in so far we had great time.

    Murat2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great weekend at The River House! The views were amazing, and the house was so cozy but still way more than enough room for 5 adults. It was the perfect spot for a fall getaway. We especially loved the beautiful fireplaces and had fun looking through the countless DVDs. The house was everything we needed and more. We didn’t get to meet Tiffany, but her setup was amazing — so nice of her to leave us a bottle of wine! — and she was very flexible when we had to change some of our booking information just a few days before the trip. We will be back!

    Madeline2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany went out of her way to make our time at the River House special. The space is so cozy, well-designed, and in a perfect location. There are tons of things to do in the house - movies, games, music, etc. -and the nearby town has a number of cool breweries to check out. I would definitely recommend this space to anyone looking to relax and cozy up by campfire for the weekend. Tiffany, thanks again for welcoming us into your home!

  • I’ve been coming to Downsville every year for the last 8 years and this year we decided to rent an Airbnb rather then the small family cabin we usually stay in. I cannot express in full detail how absolutely magical this place is, it’s something you have to see for yourself. Tiffany was the best Airbnb host I’ve ever dealt with over the years. She was hospitable beyond my expectations and her response time made it super easy to breeze through my questions and concerns. The house is stunning and the land it’s on may even top that, there is no shortage of relaxation or adventure, whichever you choose to indulge in is more than rewarding. I hope to come back sometime soon to enjoy that place yet again, I’m sure all of the previous guests share that same desire!

    Julian2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had an amazing stay here! We were celebrating my cousin’s upcoming wedding and this was the perfect location for us! The house itself was adorable and had everything we needed and didn’t think of packing. Tiffany was so sweet and always available for questions if we had any. The location is pretty remote so be prepared to unplug when not in range of the WiFi but that’s the point of a vacation sometimes right?! Her neighbor was so sweet to us as well so we felt safe. There are plenty of places to go hiking and antiquing within a 20 min drive depending on what you’re looking for. Overall we had an amazing experience and would recommend this location to anyone interested!!

    Erin2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking to get away and want to commune with nature in a rustic , classy style, then this cabin, on the river is is the best option you can find! Views of nature, the river , if a spotless 2 bedroom /with loft , bed and balcony and all amenities including up and down fireplace is you’re idea of roughing it - spend a few days here!

  • Amazing location! Amazing Value! The house really has a lot of charm and character. Tiffany is a great host and definitely goes out of her way to add extra amenities for her guests. If you need transportation there is no Uber or lyft in the area but I recommenced Absolute Taxi and Airport Transportation.

Enjoy the glow and warmth of the wood stove in the winters wildflowers in the Spring, Summer swimming in the pond and blueberry bushes around July/August , and Fall time foliage and apple picking in the yard. Buy local farm fresh food from nearby vendors, (East brook community farm and Eternal Flame) and cook over the campfire. The open layout with loft offers two queen beds (one upstairs, one down), and the space for a couple air mattresses if needed (byom).

  • Jess's place was great. It is a cozy loft-style cabin that is mostly off the grid (has electricity but no plumbing or water). Make sure to bring water for drinking/doing dishes and firewood for use with the indoor wood stove. The place felt secluded and was a relaxing weekend getaway!

    Alessandro2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED being off the grid at this charming property. The apple trees in the front yard, the lawn was so lovely and open and a little walk around the pond was so peaceful! it was great to have the projector and DVDs for a movie night, and cooking was a breeze! What a wonderful location to be in, close to so many great towns! Jess was super accommodating and easy EASY to communicate with. Thank you again Jess!

  • I had a great experience staying at jess's cabin. The house was nicely set with amenities to make up for the lack of running water. The pond was a great bonus, although I was not very successful at landing any fish. I would love to come back here in the future.

We want to share with our guests this description of the town of Andes by DONNA PAULAUG. New York Times, 2003 I FOUND Andes by mistake -- I drove into the village and felt an immediate affinity with the place,'' said Tom Munro, a Manhattan fashion photographer who shoots for Vogue and Details. He made a wrong turn that day three years ago, but now he owns a home in Andes, a town in Delaware County, N.Y., where unblemished farmland and rolling meadows, juxtaposed against the panoramic backdrop of the Catskill Mountains, create a landscape both pastoral and majestic. He is not alone in his discovery. Dozens of other Manhattanites whose city lives are in the worlds of the arts and publishing have second homes in Andes. And they have left their imprint. Artists and artisans, theatrical people and designers not only have moved in, but have also revitalized the Village of Andes, the only village in the town of the same name, by opening appealing and unusual shops on its small Main Street commercial strip. Much of this new life can be attributed to the energy and vision of Brooke Alderson, the actress who played John Travolta's aunt in ''Urban Cowboy.'' With her husband, Peter Schjeldahl, the art critic for The New Yorker, she had already been living there part-time for more than 20 years when, in 1996, she retired from acting and opened Brooke's Variety in the village -- a store filled with hundreds of quirky items, from nickel candy to antique beds. Soon she was encouraging other New Yorkers who owned weekend homes in the town to open shops, and several of them did. ''Andes went from a place that was depressed to a destination,'' said Lee Melahn, who with his partner, Rick Shaver, owns Mercantile, a village antiques shop specializing in vintage linens. ''Six years ago, you couldn't spend more than five minutes in Andes. Today it is often hard to find a place to park on Saturday.'' Mr. Melahn and Mr. Shaver, both graphic and interior designers in New York, own a house in the village and spend weekends there with their 6-year-old daughter, Emmy. Weekenders continue to arrive, drawn by the combination of pristine mountain air and interesting neighbors. Many, like Mr. Munro, have bought and restored old houses. Until recently, prices were relatively low, but they are climbing as the word about Andes spreads. Now, weekenders often build houses on lots of several acres. The Scene Andes is still more about land than people, especially outside the village. ''I walk through the woods to the village and go to the diner for breakfast,'' said Mr. Munro, who grew up in Norfolk, England. ''I don't pass a car or a person for the entire 25-minute walk.'' (...) Andes was once a bustling agricultural community with hundreds of dairy farms; now only four of appreciable size are left. The town has 110 miles of roads, many of which originally led to farms. The roads follow the water courses, weaving a path through the landscape. Many are unpaved. ...... The downstate metropolitan area and Andes have another important connection, aside from the people who go back and forth between them. The Pepacton Reservoir, covering 7,000 acres in the center of the town, is a major source of New York City's water supply. Watershed consciousness is big up there. The Catskill Watershed Corporation, initiated in 1997, protects Andes from industrial development.

No need to fear the dolls in the upstairs window keeping a watchful eye over the street below. They didn’t come to life during our stay, and if they did, I’m sure they’d be benevolent.

  • Wonderful sized room and beautiful home!

    Christina2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home, filled with many cozy places to relax and unwind. The bedroom we stayed in is large and very comfortable. The claw-foot bathtub in the bathroom is lovely. The house has places to go to read, play the piano, play pool, watch TV...plenty to do. The grounds are nicely landscaped and it is very peaceful to sit on the bench by the stream. The house is also within walking distance to some cute shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay.

  • We were in need of a place to sleep for our daughters college family weekend. Airbnb came up with several and we chose the dollhouse. Wow are we glad we did. This incredible restored home was not only interesting to explore, but immaculate very comfortable. The town of Andes was a sweet surprise. We will definitely be returning. The Dollhouse, Two Old Tarts restaurant and the cider mill made what was supposed to be a place to lay our heads for the night into a perfect getaway.

This cozy studio in the heart of the Catskills looks out over our lush valley, spring-fed swimming pond, and year-round creek. Walking distance from Bovina Center and Russell’s (the best breakfast sandwiches in the region!). Enjoy the swimming pond and fresh veggies from the garden by day! At night, relax in front of the wood stove, stargaze, or listen to coyotes calling in the hills. Ski slopes, hiking trails, farmer’s markets, and the wonders of the Catskills at your fingertips.
The studio is separated from the main house by a large barn. Park in our driveway and walk around the barn to find the cozy studio tucked away in a private corner of the property. The interior is filled with natural light and always smells like fresh pine. A small wood stove in the corner is perfect for wintertime or cold mountain nights (and yes, we provide the wood). If you're feeling lazy, just fire up the radiant heat floors. The bathroom is brand new and features an antique clawfoot tub and heated floors. The kitchenette, hidden in a large armoire and flanked by a small fridge, includes a toaster oven, coffee maker, and basic tableware and cutlery.
Bovina Center is an indescribable gem. Nestled in pastoral Delaware County, the community is filled with full time residents, weekenders, and NYC ex-pats who fell in love and never left. Stop in to Russel's, the local "country store", where you can get breakfast, lunch, basic groceries, or just a cup of coffee; Brushland Eating House, a high end farm-to-table restaurant; and the newly-renovated dairy, all within a short walk. Go a little farther and you will find The Bull and Garland, a fabulous english style pub complete with a beer garden in the summer, or Table on Ten, a destination for killer wood fired pizza and other local fare. Or explore Andes (neighboring town), and pop into the wine store, cider tap room, or numerous antique shops.
  • This place was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend getaway! The wood stove was cozy and Catharine and Jake were helpful in getting it started. They also provided tips for local places to eat and were always quick with communications. Would recommended to anyone needing a quiet, cozy, private getaway/place to stay.

  • Jake and Catherine were incredible hosts. Very helpful with local tips and helped us get the fire going in the place! Highly recommended!

  • Jake and Catherine were friendly, helpful, and communicative hosts. The guesthouse was thoughtfully laid out and well equipped with everything you'd need for a short weekend trip. The space felt especially cozy with the wood-burning fireplace and views overlooking the expansive, snow-covered property. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • Great host!

    Aaron 2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down the coziest cabin! Jake and Catharine are thoughtful and super responsive, and even as remote as it is, we found the place without a problem. It's a terrific place to unwind and curl up with a good book. We also loved being able to walk to Russell's for breakfast and Brushland for dinner. Bovina is a quiet understated town, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Nancy2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything an Airbnb should be. It's private, on a beautiful property, with little touches like a shower head that you can adjust to your height, good books to peruse through, and a coffee maker and mini fridge to store your goods. Highly recommend.

  • We’ve already agreed to come back to this amazing cabin next year. We couldn’t have designed a better place ourselves - it was cozy, inviting, and beautiful. We could’ve been a LOT more time there.

  • Where to begin...everything about Alan and Pamela’s cabin was perfect. Quiet and secluded, but it’s a quick drive to town and Alan was easy to reach. The highlight of the weekend was watching the sunset and then viewing the stars from, all the hot tub. Winter, spring, summer, or fall– I plan to come back!

    Lauren2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela & Alan were very thoughtful and helped me plan my trip. As far as the accommodations go, it couldn’t have been better! I will definitely be back!

    Matt2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Bliss. Snow blanketed tranquility surrounded this warm artful cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. Wifi worked well. The hot tub was close to the back door for dashes through snow to steamy delight. We should come back in every season for quarterly rejuvenation.

  • Amazing cottage, perfect for a family getaway. Peggy's place in Hamden is clean, comfortable and cozy!

  • Beautiful home with amazing views. So much room to move around and plenty of sleeping places. This is our 2nd time staying. We are booked again for next year.

  • Beautiful home in a beautiful setting. Spectacular views and sunsets. Peggy's home is welcoming with tons of space.

    Sharon2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Peggy’s home was a picturesque, expansive house in a secluded forest area. We were alone except for a few deer and surrounded by beautiful trees all weekend. We were really impressed by the modernness and amenities given the remote location (games, DVDs, basement with pool table etc.). Town was a 15 minute drive away and we were able to stock up with everything we needed. We were a little concerned initially about the potential of bugs given our proximity to the forest but no one was bitten or accosted by any. Wifi is consistent—a little too slow to stream anything (not a problem due to a great modern selection of DVDs) or to do work (which is perfect for a secluded vacation). It was great to get some fresh air and peace and quiet. Overall would recommend!

    Jennie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful property with amazing views! Got married at Stonewall Estate and my in-laws stayed at Peggy's property. While a little further than anticipated from Stonewall Estate, it was well worth it for the views, hospitality, amenities, and the space! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Catskills!

    Jessica2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This house is awesome if you are looking for weekend isolation in the woods. You can watch the sunset from the porch and see the stars on a clear night. The house amenities are great and Peggy/Carolyn are very helpful with their communication.

  • We truly enjoyed our short stay in Grace's cute and charming "Moose Lodge." The cottage is very private, with thoughtful touches and so many amenities. Wonderful hospitality -- thank you, again. We'll be back! :-)

  • We had a wonderful time at grace’s cabin ..she even brings you blueberry muffins in the morning...!! the level of amenities available is quite outstanding .. the fire pit outside was a big plus to enjoy the rest of the night with a cooler temperature

  • Grace's Place is an oasis! Quiet, private, and nestled at the forest's edge; this sweet and thoughtfully appointed cabana is the perfect place for a retreat of any kind with space enough to do your daily yogic practice; and peaceful enough to write, read, meditate or simply commune with the beauty all around you. Grace stocks the fully fitted out kitchenette with coffee, tea, fruit, healthy trail snacks, homemade biscotti and super fresh bagels - completing all that with butter, two kinds of cream cheese, jelly, bottled water, and both dairy and non-dairy lighteners in the frig! This level of amenities is seen throughout her little guest house - with travel shampoos, razors and the like in the bathroom; and extra blankets and a big TV in the bedroom. The WiFi worked well throughout the space and my laptop fit perfectly on the kitchen table. Grace's AirBnB will receive high recommendations to even my fussiest of friends; and I truly hope to have the opportunity to stay at this lovely "home away from home" again soon.

    Kathryn Graham2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent one night at Grace's. Grace was a thoughtful, unobtrusive host, and the place was super cozy, clean, and private, and a canoe/kayak rental store is just down the road. The kitchen was fully-equipped and stocked with items to make a small breakfast and coffee. We woke up to deer and turkeys just outside the window! After we checked out, my partner remembered he left his sweater. By the time we got back to retrieve it, Grace had laundered it for us! Thanks again for the lovely stay!

    Imelda2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was the most well appointed AirBNB we’ve ever stayed at! Grace’s touches and amenities far exceeded anything ever provided in our travels, even in even nice hotels. Fresh homemade biscotti, that was delicious, an array of fresh fruit, milk, bread products, coffee, teas, and toiletries were all provided. The location was great for us to fish the East Branch. The space is a cozy home base to come back to after a day adventuring the Catskills. Private picnic table, fire pit with wood were also provided. We would absolutely return if in this immediate area.

    Dylan2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Moose lodge was a perfect resting place after Fishing all day. It's located less than 5 minutes away from some good fishing spots. The lodge is located off the side of the main house and was a nice quiet setting. The included breakfast bagels were great for getting out and fishing early in the morning!

    Valeria2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • My finance and I we were delighted to find such a cute cabin when we were looking to book something last minute. We had another booking get cancelled so very relieved that Fabio could accommodate us on short notice. Not mention the place is pet friendly and our two small dogs loved it! We had a couple of cold nights so we kept the fire going in the wood stove and it really heated the place up. There are other space heaters to help if needed as well. There’s a projector with Apple TV so we were able to watch a few movies, we cooked a few times and had everything we needed available in the kitchen, along with a coffee maker for the mornings. Definitely was an easy, peaceful weekend away from the city!

    Keely2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio's place was amazing! My husband, dog, and I wanted a quick getaway outside of the city. Fabio was really easy to communicate with and quick to respond. I don't think the pictures do it justice -- the inside of the cottage is sooo cute with a really well-stocked kitchen (virtually every and any piece of cookware you could possibly need/imagine!). The fireplace inside was really pleasant and did a good job of heating up the entire space. We wished we took advantage of the fire pit out front, but it was nice to lounge in on the adirondack chairs outside in the sun. Overall, it was really relaxing and we'd love to come back especially sometime in the summer months when it is a little warmer to enjoy the property a little more. I also did not realize there was a little loft with additional amenities and a bed for more guests -- I'd love to bring my girlfriends out here for a peaceful retreat soon.

    Samantha2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly amazing. Everything you need and more. The property is stunning and private. It’s so worth the 3 hour drive - highly recommend!

    Elena2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio was an amazing host! The cabin was very clean and fit 4 of us very comfortably. Considering coming back in the Winter for another getaway.

    Roman2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio’s cottage is even better than what the pictures show! The cottage is cozy and has all the amenities you could need for a little getaway. The kitchen is stocked with everything from olive oil, spices and condiments to dishes, glasses and pots and pans. They have a big coffee maker (just bring your own coffee) and even a toaster and microwave. The fridge is huge so bringing your own groceries and having a place to store everything isn’t an issue at all. The projector movie screen was a cool touch. He has Netflix and some other apps that he’s connected to so we were able to watch a movie each night. The outside is amazing and so relaxing! There are a few hangout spots. The deck right off the front door has comfy seating and a fire lamp. Then down by the pond they have lounge chairs set up which was perfect for lounging and reading a book and also a picnic table. They also have a fire pit in the front yard which was fun to do a couple nights and make s’mores. Star gazing is amazing here too!! This was certainly a place you can go and not have to worry about bringing lots of extra things. They also have a really nice size grill outside so we were able to cook meals each night on the grill. They provided clean linens for the bed, toilet paper, paper towel and towels for showering as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Our dog also had the time of his life. From having lots of land to roam and run around to the pond he was one tired pup by the end of the weekend. Thank you, Fabio, for a wonderful weekend away! It was just what we needed before we welcome our little baby into the world in a few short weeks. We will certainly be back!

    Lauren2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Fabio’s place was so much more than we expected. Our dogs loved the yard and pond and we loved the countless amenities that were more than you would expect at a Airbnb cabin. Fabio even let us extend our checkout at the very last minute because we didn’t want to leave too early! There is a wood burning fire place, outside grill and fire pit, kayaks, a movie projector and fantastic kitchen. We are already planning our next trip back!

This is a cozy cottage, tucked away at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by hundreds of acres of NYC . Perfect location for a work-from-home alternative, High Speed Internet. There is a large pond direct by the house and another hidden pond. The cottage has all you’ll need for a secluded vacation get away. • This was my third stay at Pia's. I absolutely love this place. I love the mid-century modern decor; it's just easier to relax when everything is simple and minimalist. I love the location: you can be in the center of Andes pretty quick, but you're in the woods and it's super quiet. All check-in/house stuff/recommendations are thorough. Communication is wonderful. I really wouldn't ever stay anywhere else in the Catskills!

Tons of backyard space to roam around, a lovely lake, and a very cozy and comfortable home. We loved having a little barbecue with a fire pit outdoors. The wood stove inside was immaculately clean with lots of wood and kindling that did an excellent job keeping us cozy and warm when we were indoors. Overall we had amazing stay wl here and would love to come back!!

  • This was our third stay at this perfect cottage, which should tell you everything! If you are looking for absolute serenity, this is it. It’s extremely quiet, perfect for those who need a break from busy lives and to catch up on SLEEP!! Our dogs seem to appreciate the peace also, and they love running in the yard and hikes in the nearby trails and local Andes hikes (see brochure). I would definitely recommend checking out the host tips within this listing for great dining and hiking options. The perfect balance of peacefulness but close enough to all the nearby Catskills towns to explore once you’ve caught up on your rest. :) Beware though, you may not want to leave! Will be back for our fourth stay soon - thanks Pia and Marco!

  • We stayed at this home for a wedding. It was conveniently located and fit our needs.

  • There are some houses that you walk in and just feel at home....that is true here. It has charm and history, yet is comfortable and well appointed. The location is stunning. Across a beautiful covered bridge, surrounded by fields, giant trees that will be full color in a few weeks...wish we could see it in the fall. And your record collection, the pool table and the working fireplace....just coziness. Would definitely stay again!

    Kathleen2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We did a lot of activities: rafting, hiking, board games. The house has its own soul and atmosphere, a lot of board games, puzzles.

This spacious Victorian farmhouse is situated next to the Toll Gate Creek. There are cascading waterfalls in the back yard. The house is furnished with family heirlooms and antiques. Come enjoy true country living.
We have three bedrooms available for guests.
    Beautiful country setting
  • We booked a last minute trip during President’s Day weekend and stayed 2 nights at Kathleen and Kevin’s house. It is beautifully located, don’t forget to go for a quick stroll and take a peek at the cows and pigs! Communication was easy and quick. Kathleen welcomed us and showed us our room. The bed sheets were the softest ever (!!) and everything was nice and clean. Loved the little touches and original furniture, definitely not your basic IKEA stuff. Even though the bathroom is private, it’s next to the living room that is shared with other guests - not a problem for us at all but maybe good to know for others. Breakfast was included, which was super convenient and we even had a piece of home baked cake! Would definitely recommend! Loved it in winter and want to come back in summer too. Thank you Kathleen and Kevin.

    Kim2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything here meets and exceeds expectations! What a wonderful place to stay. Awesome in the winter and I can only imagine how nice it is in the warmer months!

    Kathryn2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Kevin and Kathleen’s place very much. The only drawback we thought was being right on the main road but there are not many cars that pass by at night so it wasn’t an issue. Kathleen was very friendly, giving us a little tour of her cows and farm and talked with us for a while. Her homemade bread it the morning was a highlight as were the choices of loose teas. We would definitely look them up if we are ever in that area again

  • We were lucky enough to book a place here with Kathy and Kevin, the third-generation owners of this well-run farm and Bed and Breakfast. The location is convenient to SUNY Delhi, SUNY Oneonta and the Cooperstown Hall of Fame, among others. We were in town for a wedding in Delhi and no other place came close to offering what the Inn at Toll Gate Creek offers. Everything was scrupulously clean, fresh linens, ample local loose teas, and plenty of coffee, always available. Breakfast was served or left to go if you sleep in. And why not sleep in? The bed was fabulously comfortable and the sheets, luxurious. Seriously, stop searching now and hope you can book a room here. Even if it means driving a few miles out of your way. Kathy and Kevin are waiting to meet you.

    Nancy2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy and Kevin were excellent hosts. The home was spotless. There were nice pastries, coffee, fruit, cereal and coffee/tea. Kathy gave us an excellent recommendation for a local restaurant, Table on Ten, with amazing gourmet pizzas and salads. Both Kevin and Kathy were friendly. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in the area.

  • I can't say enough about this cabin. Beautiful setting in a beautiful location. From the minute we pulled up to the moment we left was absolutely perfect. I don't think we have ever been so relaxed. Robyn is a terrific host, who checks in just enough to make sure everything is well and your settled in. I don't have one bad thing to say. We can't wait to go back!

  • Words can't even begin to describe how perfect this place was. It was beautiful, comfortable, and so relaxing... a real gem of a place. I am SO glad I stumbled upon it during our search for a place to enjoy a romantic weekend away from the world. Robyn and John were fantastic hosts, and such lovely people. We're honestly looking forward to visiting again - we loved it so much, we've already started thinking about when we might be able to go back, and we only checked out yesterday!

    Sibel2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This house and garden are even more beautiful than pictured on Airbnb. The host is very helpful, quickly replying and very clear communication. This stay was beyond my expectations, the interior is beautifully decorated in a restful style, beds snuggly & cozy. Nice bathroom & shower, very clean. The well-organized kitchen has all the basics you need. The front porch is spacious with comfy chairs so you can look over the garden pond with fountain. Lovely environment in the heart of stunning countryside, easy drive to several local towns. The thoughtful, personal touches by the host made it even more special. 100% recommend this log cabin 'treasure'.

Hawkhill, an idyllic and secluded out of the city getaway. Hike on 30 acres. New hydronic electric heat, new wood stove, and large windows. Snuggle by the fire and watch the wildlife. Driveway access all year. Trails to the pond, the creek, and a small waterfall. Oneonta 15 minutes away. Cooperstown 45 minutes. Private, yet civilization is a short drive away. An amazing second story deck that faces only trees. Watch bald eagles overhead and hear hawks call. A peaceful slice of heaven.
Truly a private setting. Magical. Peace and quiet. Stars everywhere. Very common to see wildlife including deer, turkey, porcupine, eagles, hawks, and owls. Secluded get-away to unplug. Semi-rustic setting in nature. A nice DVD selection provided with a blue-ray player with Wifi for Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc. Generally cool in summer with A/C provided in July/August, and electric baseboard heat in winter and a woodstove with views of the woods. Snuggle by the fire for some relaxation, we Recommend on very cold nights to supplement electric heat with a nice fire. The outdoor shower is awesome (seasonal). Access to hiking, farmers market in Franklin on the weekend. Oneonta is just 15 minutes away. East Sidney Lake Dam 2 minutes away (seasonal). Two queen beds in two separate bedrooms. Reading/napping loft with a full size mattress. A large leather sofa with a view of the forest to relax on. A full kitchen and dining area with lots of natural light.
Woods, woods and more woods. Two distant neighbors that you can not see through the woods. East Sidney Lake Dam is minutes away with access to swimming, fishing, and boating for a small fee. Several small towns a short drive away. Self Check in begins at 2 pm and check out is 11:00 am. Baseball all star village in Oneonta 18 miles away.
  • We loved the cabin! Cozy and stylish at once. It is really in the middle of the woods: no ugly quarries or strip malls around. We had a great weekend away from it all.

    Jaime2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great stay at a wonderful cozy cabin. There is plenty of hiking to do around the property. (We recommend a picnic by the waterfall.) There is also plenty of wood to have cozy nights by the fire. Highly recommended to anyone interested in spending time off the beaten track.

    Liam2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely week spent in the Catskills. Greeted with hot coals on the wood stove. Continual flurries and an abundance of windows made it feel like you're in a snowglobe. The house is very charming and cozy. The place feels secluded from civilization, but not so far away that accessing resources would be a great ordeal. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a quiet retreat and isolated experience.

    Patrick2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gail and Chris's place is a beautiful cabin tucked away in the woods! The house itself was cozy and warm! We enjoyed the Awestruck Cidery about twenty minutes away, as well as Roots Brewing in Oneonta. There are various snow activities within reasonable distance nearby (an hour or less) and we had no problems with any of the services or amenities within the cabin. We enjoyed our stay and hope you do too!

    Gregory2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a very well curated space! We loved the sprawling acreage to explore, the cozy ambiance of the wood burning stove, the eclectic art and antique charm, the record collection that was enjoyed during dinnertime . A lovely kid friendly and pet friendly home.

    Danielle2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gail and Chris' cabin was absolutely amazing! The space was large and beautiful - the pictures certainly do not do it justice. Gail and Chris were so responsive and helpful, and even gave us local tips on nearby hikes to visit! We loved the thoughtful and stylish touches, such as the vinyl player, the fireplace, and the guestbook. The bathroom was very clean, and has a really nice tub for you to enjoy a hot bath after being out in the snow. The kitchen was well stocked with all the kitchenware you would need to cook a full meal, and the dining table was spacious (and expandable!) enough to seat a large group. Overall, we are very pleased with our stay, and would definitely want to come back in the summertime!

    Nicole2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Gail and Chris' home is absolutely divine! The photos don't do justice! The home has this amazing rustic feel and so many cute and cozy touches. We got to explore the property a bit in the beautiful and serene snowy winter which had a special peacefulness. It was the perfect getaway we needed. Additionally, communication was quick and great. Thanks again for having us!

    Sara Mindy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this space so much. Gail and Chris were kind and accommodating hosts. The space was so cozy, beautifully designed with a ton of great art. Big tub, comfortable bed. I stayed here for a week by myself and felt completely safe and at home. Great kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal. Wonderful views and a great birdfeeder right outside the living room window that attracted all sorts of cool birds I don't know the names of. Thank you!!

  • Great house. Very nice, scenic, water view. Peaceful time in a very unique home. Would love to come back some day. Rare find! We got lucky.

    Thomas2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • A truly beautiful home in a gorgeous natural setting - even during a mostly gray, rainy winter the walking and hiking in the area was delightful and the views from the home were stunning. The house itself is spacious and great for hanging out (tons of comfy lounge space, plenty of bedroom space) and cooking (decent kitchen with standard rental equipment - BYO if you have any "must haves" for your cooking, but the basics are here), building wood fires (phenomenal fireplace!!), and enjoying the jacuzzi (the host recently got a larger hot water heater in so you can really fill it now). It was also accessible to our little sedan even when there was snow and an ice storm, and the WiFi worked fine for us the whole time. A couple of things worth noting that aren't entirely obvious from the description: There is NO cell reception, at least not for Sprint or AT&T. The host will send you a cell number for someone who can assist you with things like firewood (and fresh eggs, yum!); make sure to reach out to them while you're traveling because you won't be able to text when you arrive, although you get reception back pretty quickly in nearby highways and towns. Also, there are neighbors closer than it looks from the photos. You still have plenty of quiet and privacy inside the house, but it's not isolated outside of it. And you absolutely must be able to manage large amounts of steep stairs - the entire house is built around them, including getting into the front door (fine if you're able-bodied, but in no way ADA accessible). Finally, the beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable to sleep in, like sleeping on the floor. If you have a mattress topper, it's worth the space in your car to bring it. (But the house was so great I'd gladly stay again even after a week of aching joints.)

    Megan2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place and awesome time, thanks!

    Nicholas2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family of 5 with our dog had the most wonderful stay at Sam’s house on a river during Christmas week. We loved absolutely everything. Waking up to the views of the river and mountain with a cup of coffee in your hands; sitting by the fireplace during the cold crisp nights and listening to holiday tunes; watching the starts while laying on a snow. The house had everything we need for a week stay. Sam was responsive prior and during our stay. We can only imagine how wonderful it would be to come back during the summer when you can canoe in the river and swim. Can’t wait to be back and thanks for everting.

    Oleksandra (Sasha)2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place.

    Christian2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sam’s home is so well used so well loved and couldn’t be more comfortable. Nothing beats after a day of fishing and then driving down the road to Sam’s knowing the sauna/steam and big fireplace await. The property managers are so lovely and helpful. The big yard and the access to river at the property are so great to run around and play outside! It’s a wonderful place to be! The only thing I would note is the Internet wasn’t working and there wasn’t a DVD player or way to watch movies. Everything was wonderful though!! Hope to go back.

    Courtney2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a unique place The decor immerses you in an artistic environment that when coupled with the river and the mountain changes your senses You get away Staff are attentive and pleasant I been at the place twice and will certainly be back Highly recommended

  • I had a great experience staying with Deborah. It was nice meeting her and her daughter. I had a very comfortable stay escaping from the snow storm!

    Alexis2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • A stay with Debora is a breath of fresh air; she went above and beyond to help with local tips, and where I was invited to help feed the woodstove, pet or not pet the cats, make my fresh ground coffee in the morning, and fry my eggs. If you like that wholesome life experience, this is your preferred setting.

    Speth2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Deb's place is our go-to spot when we visit the area. She has a lovely farm that's cozy in the winter and so fun in the summer (pond swimming and bonfires are a common occurrence.) We've now become friends and we look forward to visiting her and her family again.

    Alfredo2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this funky farmhouse on a quiet road with a hospitable hostess, super-friendly cats, and loose chickens that run to meet you in the morning. The room is small and cozy, and the mattress was indeed comfy. I really enjoyed chatting with Deborah while sipping old vines Zinfandel, and was surprised by the great breakfast in the morning - eggs from her chickens on an English muffin! The terrier will bark when you arrive, but Deborah (who is English) will more than make up for that with her friendliness and good cheer.

    Anitra2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah is a delightful host and her home is lovely and welcoming. I enjoyed meeting her chickens and having their eggs for breakfast, yum!

    Spencer2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely visit at Deborah’s farmhouse. This is a simple modest home with a warm and friendly hostess. The bed is super comfy and the cats are very affectionate. A bit off the beaten path and far away from city lights. The stars were amazing at night!

    Judi2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah is a super host. Welcoming, thoughtful. Her warm personality makes you feel at home away from home. It was a delight to get to know her. She made us breakfast to go as we needed to leave early morning. We were greeted by the animals at her farm...the chickens, dog, and three barn friendly cats. If you’re looking to experience what’s it’s like to stay at a farm, and be with nature, look no further. The area’s beautiful landscape and rolling hills will take your breath away!

    Marilou2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We love this area and this just did a one night stay with Deborah - it was perfect. While we hadn’t intended socializing too much and just heading for bed, we ended up spending the night chatting to Deborah over a glass of wine and it was just lovely. She also has cats and a dog (which she will keep away if you don’t like them) but for us the cats were a highlight! The sweetest, friendliest kitties you’ll ever meet. The bedroom is exactly as pictured: small but tidy and very comfortable with the bathroom right across the hall. We had a lovely stay at Deborah’s and it was great value. We will return.

  • A really beautiful little house. So stylish! Spencer was easy to get in touch with and always quick to reply. The house is definitely an antique, so be prepared for that, but then again, the listing headline says as much! No surprises here. We very much thank him for his hospitality!

  • This house was absolutely amazing for a trip away with friends. The pictures are what caught my eye in the first place, and the house is equally stunning in person (and a bit larger than expected)! The fireplace worked beautifully and we spent a lot of time together in the living area. The couch is soft (perfect for reading), the daybed is lovely, and all of the bedrooms are incredibly comfortable. Seven of us slept very comfortably and we had an extra twin bed. It has all of the charm of an old house with a modern heating system. We did bleed the radiators when we arrived since some were not working right away, but it was very easy and a quick fix. The kitchen is functional and we cooked meals together, but I would recommend bringing a large pot/dish if you want to bake or cook something for a large group! The Wayside Cidery is also a 30 second walk away and a wonderful place for a meal and/or drink. We loved their ciders and brought some back with us. Spencer was a wonderful host. He was responsive throughout our stay, friendly, and gave great recommendations for where to stock up on groceries among other things. We had such a beautiful weekend together in this house and are already talking about when we can get back there for a summer visit to Andes and neighboring towns! This is a must stay.

  • Spencer’s place was perfect for our needs. 4 couples, two with new babies, spent New Year’s Eve here. It’s right on Main Street Andes and you can walk everywhere. The local shops and restaurants are all amazing, and all the locals made us feel so welcome. Rooms are all a good size. The heat is radiator heat which can make the air a little dry but our apartment in nYC is also radiator heat so we were pretty used to that, but perhaps bring a small humidifier if that would bother you. There was a small leak on our first night in the place, from the upstairs bathroom into the dining room, and when we contacted Spencer about it he responded right away. It wasn’t a serious issue but it felt nice that he had responded so quickly. We have already talked about coming back again, maybe in the summer! We simply live this house and this town.

New home, loft style sleeping. In the Catskill Region. Close to Oneonta and Cooperstown baseball camps. East Sidney Recreation Park is right across the road; swimming & beach area, boat access, picnic areas and fishing.
I love my (first!) new house and I know you will too. Modern look with some cottage / cabin charm. The outdoor space is a great bonus. A grill, chairs and picnic table are behind the home through nice patio doors. *** If you plan on coming in the winter, all wheel or 4 wheel drive is essential. I take care of the driveway myself with a snowblower. Please message me if you have questions or concerns.
Quiet neighborhood; with one acre the neighbors are not close at all, mostly blocked by trees.
  • My goodness, this is seriously a hidden gem! I cannot believe how well done this home is, not to mention all of the incredibly thoughtful touches throughout! Seriously, this was such a wonderful space to just relax. Carin was beyond incredible to communicate with (even with my crazy last minute booking) and I cannot wait to come back for another stay in the future! Thank you SO much, Carin!

  • Everything you want in an air bnb experience. Great host, cozy space, clean helpful. We went for a getaway from NYC and it snowed! Relaxing by the stove with the mountain view was spectacular. Couldn’t ask for a better host the house was fully stocked and has everything you need to feel right at home. Carin’s place get 5 stars in my book. I will definitely be visiting again.

  • Our stay at Carin’s was our most enjoyable Airbnb experience to date. The place was spotless and contained a multitude of thoughtful touches which enriched our trip. Carin was highly responsive and knowledgeable about the local attractions and restaurants. We look forward to booking again with Carin on our next visit to the Catskills.

  • I highly recommend this cabin as a small getaway! Very clean, cozy, and has cute little touches throughout the house. Very private. The kitchen is well equipped with cast iron & nonstick pans, a variety of cutting boards, sharp chef knives, a powerful Samsung stovetop, etc. The living room has 2 comfortable couches that recline into beds, a variety of DVDs & a great selection of music for the stereo system. The remote powered fire place warms the place up very quickly! The bathroom has everything you would need from brand new toothbrushes, to different body washes/shampoos/conditioner & even had a washer & dryer if needed. The upstairs was very open with 3 beds & a comfortable leather recliner. The house was a 20 minute drive to Oneonta where you can find all the local shopping (Walmart, Hanafords, BJ’s, Aldi, etc). The host, Carin, was very accommodating and allowed us to check in early & had the place warmed up and all set for our arrival!

  • Carin’s place is great. 5 min from the highway but you’d never know because it was so quiet and beautiful in that place.

  • This place is GREAT! We stayed here over Thanksgiving and the fabulous kitchen amenities made it possible for me to make my "assigned side dishes" and take them to my Grandmother's for a family feast. This place has everything you could ask for and was cleaner than any hotel room I have ever stayed in. I was worried about finding the place since it is on a winding twisting road in the Catskills but Carin's directions were perfect and it was easier to find than anticipated. I would not recommend this place to people with small children in the fall/winter, only because children are easily bored and you cannot send them outside to play. But my older kids (18 & 13), had no trouble unplugging and relaxing here. They already want to go back in better weather so they can explore the trails and woods beyond the cabin. Overall wonderful experience and we made great memories in what my 5 year old keeps to referring to as "our cabin." Would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Carin!
