The unit has vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors, a complete kitchen with dishwasher. In winter the wood fire place keeps the place cosy. In summer the balcony is a favorite place for breakfast, watching numerous native birds. Within a few minutes drive you will reach the center of Geelong, Deakin Uni, and the 3 major hospitals of Geelong. It's an easy drive to beautiful beaches, including the Great Ocean Road. To keep the building sustainable, there is solar hot water & power & rain tanks.
The Apartment was newly renovated in 2019, & is at the end of a quiet court with fantastic views over the river and to the Golf Course. It has a fully equipped kitchen, split system air conditioning in the two main rooms and a fireplace for additional heating & ambiance in winter. The dining table seats four comfortably. The lounge has a double electric recliner couch and an ultra modern T.V. which hangs above the fireplace and masquerades as art work. Press any button on the remote, which is kept on the mantle, to activate it. When there is no motion detected in the room, it will turn itself off. There is a large walk in shower and a beautiful, deep soaking tub in the bathroom. The balcony seating affords beautiful views to the river and surrounding hills.
The Apartment has direct river frontage and overlooks the Queens park golf course. Our neighbours are all known to us as the house is located at the top of a hill in a very quiet Court. Newtown is one of the oldest, established suburbs of Geelong and is close to many of the best Colleges in the Geelong area.

I've tried to cover everything so you can cook a meal and have everything you need. - Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, utensils, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, chopping block and a few extra things you may need, like tea bags, coffee, sugar, oil and vinegar, tea towels. There is a laundry with washing machine, a clothesline to hang out your clothes in the court yard, pegs provided, iron and ironing board. There is also a shared space courtyard with seating if you would like to enjoy having a coffee in the outdoor sunshine. Welcome to my little home in Highton. Set in a quiet apartment block my home is perfect for friends, lovers, couples and families visiting in Geelong. Filled with natural light and lush greenery, my home is located opposite the Highton Bowls Club and is a short stroll to the Highton shops and to the Barwon River reserve. It is a 20-minute drive to Torquay & Barwon Heads beaches and the Great Ocean Road. It is a 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk to the Kardinia Park Stadium football precinct.
My home is split across 4 levels, with a paved & undercover outdoor area. The kitchen and dining room are on the entry-level and contains a clothes washer/ dryer. A short flight of stairs will take guests into the lounge room and outside. The 3rd level will take you to the second bedroom and the bathroom, while the last level contains the main bedroom. The north-facing outdoor space looks out onto my veggie patch and garden. It is perfect for a morning cuppa, reading a book or sharing a drink with friends. Please also make use of the Webber BBQ during your stay. Guests are also invited to pick any of the fruit, veggies & herbs that grow in my garden during their stay.
My little home is located within a block of 32 units. With neighbours bordering only one side of my home, as well as strategically placed greenery, guests will able to enjoy my space with privacy.
