3 bedroom cabin on a small lake (Tee Lake). Very quiet and private. Dock, canoe and deck overlooks the lake.
$20.00 additional for pets
  • We enjoyed staying at the Tee House. It was very peaceful and relaxing, and just what we needed for a weekend away from our busy schedule. The hosts were great at communication and replied quickly when we had questions. It was easy to find, even in the dark. We greatly enjoyed the view of the lake and the stars were so beautiful at night. Since it was rainy and cold, there wasn't much activity on the lake, which made it extra peaceful. The kitchen has pretty much everything you need for cooking and there was filtered water in the fridge. The house has a very "lived in" feel rather than a "sterile hotel" feel. There are a ton of games and a small stereo, which has an auxiliary plug so you can use your phone to play music. There are also a bunch of fun CDs and vintage cassette tapes if you want to experience some good, older music! The house is full of natural light during the day, and at night, it has a nice ambiance.

  • A lovely space and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Some appliances/fixtures are older and could use updating but work just fine. Kitchen was well equipped. WiFi worked well for email/etc. but don’t expect a great streaming experience if you need that. The view and the fireplace were the best!

  • This house is a perfect getaway. There are 3 separate sleeping spaces (one is a loft) which was perfect for my 2 girlfriends and myself. The house is all view! We rotated the couch to face the large windows so we could gaze at the lake all day. At one point we took three chairs onto the dock and enjoyed the lake that way. It is so quiet and peaceful. Great night sleep! The gas fireplace is an added treat. It really kept the house toasty. Super easy check in and check out. We will be back!

As guests of this late '60's time capsule, sharpen your oyster knives, and bring your crab bait, if its in season, its on the menu. Right around the corner from the Hama Hama Oyster Co's Saloon, and off the main US Hwy 101, behind the Eldon Store, tranquility on some of Washington's most pristine saltwater awaits. Miles from Lk Cushman recreation center, Olympic Ntnl Prk, casino's, let the Hideout serve as your base of operations for fun w/ family&friends on the peninsula. IG @HammaHammaHideout
Realtors apologized and stressed the need for updates, we didn't think so! Its crazy cool, walk in and tune in and drop out. Epic view off the decks and out the dining and living room windows, kitchen and counter space for days to cook and enjoy with friends and family. So many electrical outlets!
Just off the 101, with the benefit of being smack dab up in the mid Canal region, gorgeously remote on the water, with a friendly convenience store a walk away. The year round & weekend neighbors are our friends.
  • Had a great short stay with out of town company over Christmas. The house was well stocked and had a great vibe. Host was great in answering our questions before the trip. Would definitely stay again!

  • Very fun and funky place to relax and appreciate the natural surroundings. The view and beach access are phenomenal, and the space was great for three adults and a toddler. Good access to the eastern and northern parts of Olympic plus Dosewallips State Park and, of course, the Hood Canal.

  • Great views and lots of space made this a perfect weekend getaway for our mix of kids parents and pups. Right on the beach (although the trail is a little steep), plenty of water toys supplied like a paddle board and kayak. Loved it!

Our home is located on the Olympic Peninsula, just steps from where the Duckabush River meets the Hood Canal. We have tried to create a cozy and rustic space for guests to relax in! The cabin is conveniently located near lots of hiking trails, and several public beaches. Prepare to be completely engulfed in nature, as the property is home to many interesting and rare plants and trees. Come sit in the hot tub, while bald eagles fly overhead, or head to a public beach and find a bounty of oysters!
You'll have the entire two bottom floors as your own during your stay! This includes a bedroom with office space, a bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, dining, and living room. You'll also have access to the whole property including gardens, patio, fire pit and hot tub. We hope you find our home to be cozy! Please enjoy all the snuggly blankets, the propane fireplace and the reading nook! Help yourself to any foodstuffs, and make use of our capable kitchen! We have a collection of board games and movies to keep you entertained. We have plenty of extra towels and bedding available if needed. The top floor is our private space for our personal belongings, so we have it roped off.
If you are looking for a solid meal and a great view, head north on Route 101 to the Geoduck restaurant/bar. Sit outside on the patio and look out over the canal! If you’re looking for some oysters, head south on 101 for 10 miles to Hama Hama. They have a large outdoor seating area and the yummiest oysters around! There are an endless amount of hiking options in the area including Dosewallips, Mt. Walker, Mt. Jupiter, Duckabush River and lots more!
  • This cabin is so beautifully tucked into the woods with so much greenery and beautiful views so close to beaches and trail heads with an amazing oyster place down the street (Hama Hama) strongly recommend! The place was sparking clean and decently stocked with food stuffs. You will love it!

  • Shane & Taryn’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was so cozy and we loved having the ability to jump in the hot tub after a full day of hiking! Their cabin has everything you would think you need for a weekend away - and more! We were super impressed with how well stocked the home was and how many different cooking appliances and utensils were at our disposal. I would highly recommend staying at their cabin , as I’m already trying to figure out when my wife and I can come back!

  • This is an amazing little home in a beautiful place. It's very close to several small towns but also very secluded and private. It has everything you need and feels like home. We really didn't want to leave and definitely hope to return again. Shane was very nice and helpful.

    Linsey2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is better than it looks. It’s very quiet, very cozy, and is filled with items you don’t normally find all assembled in an AirBnB. (board games, DVDs, hot tub, fireplace, endless snacks, cooking materials, etc) Would love to revisit to hike more mountains nearby.

Kayak, swim, crab, clam or just relax on the deck of our beautiful 1930’s no-bank studio beach cabin. Also available for rent are our adjacent Octopus Hole Beach Cabin and our adjacent Big Gray 1930's Beach Cabin. All 3 cabins are located right next to each other, right on the beach. Rent two or all three cabins for a large group. They are ideal for family reunions…plenty of room to celebrate together while each family also has their own space.
  • We were happy to return and had a wonderful few cozy days at Suzanne’s cabin.

    Drew2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The studio cabin exceeded our expectations! So many thoughtful touches! Location, location, location... a beautiful view of the water. And being able to hear the waves lapping on the shore was wonderful. The murphy bed was comfortable, with super nice bedding. And more than enough kitchenware and dishes to cook just about anything. Good quality too. The kitchen area is very nice, lots of upgrades. We would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it.

    Lyndy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, cozy, cleverly designed cabin perfectly situated on the Hood Canal. It had everything we needed (and more) for a weekend getaway. The Murphy bed was extra comfortable for sleeping; the kitchen well stocked with all the tools required for shucking and cooking oysters harvested from the beach directly in front of the cabin. We were surprised by the size of the shower and wraparound deck (both are expansive) and by how quickly the tides rolled in and lapped happily on the shore. The nearby towns were bonus additions to this weekend excursion: try the sweets from Doo Donuts or a whiskey tasting at The Hardware Distillery in Hoodsport or an evening dinner by the fire at Hama Hama Oysters (made famous by renown chef Renee Erickson) in nearby Lilliwaup. We truly hope to visit again.

  • Such a stunning gem on the water. Even in this foggy fall weather, the view from this cabin was absolutely gorgeous for our entire stay. The cabin itself was a perfect romantic getaway. Everything was clean, stocked, and we felt like we had everything we needed. Warm and cozy, and lots of games and books to check out! Unlike a lot of tiny cabins, the bathroom was really spacious and beautifully designed. We were so comfortable here, and Suzanne even checked in on us when we arrived to see if we had any questions, which I really appreciated. We were so sad to leave, and can't wait to return for a longer stay. The morning we left, we were treated to a group of sea lions playing in the water in front of our cabin, which was really awesome. Thank you again for an amazing anniversary trip!

    Kristan2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views and the cottage is super cozy. Exactly as pictured, my husband and I enjoyed staying here for our 5th year anniversary. Definitely recommend staying here.

    Jaqueline & Jay2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is a gem! It’s right on the water and the kitchen window opens right up to show the most breathtaking view and sounds of the water crashing. The cabin is rustic but comfortable and modern in all the ways that matter like comfy beds, nice tv, functional well equipped kitchen and nice big bathroom with tons of natural light. There wasn’t one thing we needed that wasn’t available and the cupboards were stocked with games and movies, lanterns, flashlights, ect. There was also firewood and fresh oysters right in front of the house you can gather and eat. There is also a rowboat you can use and a fire pit with nice chairs. I hope to book this cabin again. Suzanne the host was extremely nice as well.

Platform Tent perched above Sund Rock on Hood Canal. The tent site offers electric lights, heat, small refrigerator, wifi, propane bbq, fire pit (providing a burn ban is not in effect). A short walk for glampers to a porta potty and hot water shower, as well as access to Sund Rock beach for kayaking, diving, swimming, snorkeling or just kicking back. The beach may be shared with registered day visiting scuba divers. The site is best for 2 people. The site is not appropriate for children.
The property was homesteaded prior to statehood by my great grandparents who actually established a resort in the early 1900's. Guests would arrive by steamer ship from Seattle and stay in platform tents. Now, re-creating the experience 100 years later is a tribute to my great-grandparents spirit and my desire to share this special place. Sund Rock has also become a destination scuba diving site due to the unique rock formation above and below the water that creates wonderful habitat for sea life. Beach access to Sund Rock dive beach may be shared with scuba divers who are allowed limited access by the Sund family. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels, swim floats or kayaks to enhance the beach experience.
We are located approximately 2 miles north of Hoodsport. The small town offers a grocery store, post office, gift shops, a distillery and eateries.
  • This was such a fun place to stay, Eve though the weather wasn’t on our side for most of the weekend. The heater inside the tent kept us super cozy and the coffee was a very nice touch!

  • What a wonderful little hidden secret! My bf and I took a “stay-cation” and decided we wanted to go camping. Staying here was a way better choice. Not only is this space absolutely amazing and so well thought out, the host was super nice and gracious. We definitely want to stay here again! Thanks so much Cindy and Sunds Family!

    Casey2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay and enjoy the Hood Canal.

    Ryan2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This special place provided such a beautiful, relaxing, fun and memorable weekend for us! It was our first experience with "glamping" and Cindy's camp at Sund Rock was truly the perfect introduction. The location itself is stunning and peaceful, the accommodations are adorable and cozy, lots of opportunities to trek out for little adventures or stay put and just soak up the sweetness of your little private getaway. And Cindy was a wonderfully attentive and respectful host, was sure to guide us to the camp when we arrived (and we arrived later than expected, which she was very gracious about), then after her introduction, some helpful tips on where things are and how they work, a bit of history on the spot and some insider knowledge on the best spots in and outside of town, she said she would leave us to our privacy but was still available via text or phone if we needed anything (wonderful communication). Love it, love it, love it... we'll be back. Thank you so much!

    Paul2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • All that is needed for this glamping trip is clothes and meals! Our host Cindy made sure we had everything we may need, and more! Down to the fresh raspberries and flowers to the whimsical lights ... our experience was relaxing and magical. The bed is comfortable and the view out of the door is stunning! We will definitely be back! Thank you Sunds family! 💜

    Justin2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a good first Airbnb for us. The campsite had everything we needed, was comfortable and not too far away from things if we wanted to head into town. Cindy answered any questions quickly and showed us around then left us to enjoy our vacation. We would love to come back here.

Lovely cabin near Triton Cove in Brinnon, WA. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but close enough to Seattle where its not difficult to get to. Beautiful view of the Hood Canal and all the oysters you can eat. A perfect place for a family getaway, or if you're hiking the Olympic National Forest. Come relax and enjoy a wonderful time on the Hood Canal.
A picturesque cabin near Brinnon, WA. Beautiful view of the Hood Canal and minutes away from the Olympic Mountains. There is an upstairs with 2 beds (Full and twin) and a bath and a downstairs with .5 bath, bunk beds, a king and a queen size bed.
Brinnon is the nearest city. And it isn't much of a city. It has a small grocery store and a few restaurants. Hoodsport has the nearest real grocery store, plus a few restaurants and places to visit.

  • Matt's place was comfortable and has a great view of the Hood Canal. It was an affordable and large enough place for the whole family to come together to spend the Thanksgiving holiday. It is pretty remote from things, but this was the perfect way to focus on family time. Beware that there is a very steep ladder that connects the upper and lower floors which was a bit of an adventure to climb up and down. Otherwise a great space for a family get away!

  • I highly recommend Nicole’s place. She is more than willing to make your stay as comfortable and convenient. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the lake I highly recommend staying here. It’s absolutely beautiful and I definitely will be back.

  • Awesome campsite for an rv or tents. Beautiful lakefront property. We were there for the 4th of July and had a great time.

  • Nikki’s spot at Maggie Lake is the perfect place to unwind from whatever your activities are or to enjoy the quiet surroundings. The place is next to the boat launch and got a bit of activity. It is very close to the park which my toddler LOVED!! Our time here was so fun, nights spent playing intense games of uno- even my teenager can’t wait to return. Nikki as a host was fantastic and very generous with her space. My family can not wait to go back. Two thumbs up from us. Thanks again for having us.

    Tanya2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! There’s plenty of room and it’s very private. Right on the lake, which makes it great for swimming and kayaking. Our dog had the time of her life! We will be back.

Shuck, kayak, crab, clam, soak in the hot tub or just relax by the river rock fireplace in our beautiful beach cabin. 315' of oyster rich no bank waterfront on a sheltered cove. Everyone will have fun at Octopus Hole! Also available for rent are our adjacent studio cottage and our 2-bedroom 1930's cabin, located on the far side of the studio. All 3 cabins are located right next to each other, right on the beach. Rent two or all three cabins for a large group or a reunion!
  • Great cabin with unreal views & all the amenities. The master bed was super comfortable. We had a couple special dinners planned, so were especially happy with how well the kitchen was stocked.

  • Great place, great location, Suzanne was awesome. Highly recommended.

    Ron2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! One of those houses that smells nicely of wood because the fixtures and furnishings are all high quality wood throughout. Comfy beds and clean sheets and nice down pillows. Also had a really nice set of knives which made cooking enjoyable. Wonderful location right on the water; we went and got oysters whenever we felt like it and found them almost immediately. Good sized ones, too, not too large. The hot tub was also great! It fit the four of us quite well. I encourage you to take a dinghy out and spot the seals - they were pretty cool.

    Keena2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful cabin is a peaceful retreat and we had such a lovely time playing games, watching movies and cooking dinner. It was lovely to watch the tide come in and out and see the sea birds and possibly seals/otters? Beds were very comfortable as well. Suzanne is an awesome host!

    Divya2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy, quaint little place. Favorite part of my stay was doing one of the puzzles, while the fire was crackling in the background. We brought a Bluetooth speaker and enjoyed the hot tub for hours! We didn’t arrive until almost midnight the first night of our stay, so was really dark. Didn’t realize that the house has no direct car access, so was a bit rough trying to find how to get there (walking through two other yards/beach front) and bring all of our stuff in. Overall it was amazing! We left some ground coffee in the cabinet because there wasn’t any on our first morning and who doesn’t want to start their day with a cup of coffee and that view?!

    Julie2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect spot for a family get away or a private quiet escape. I highly recommend this property.

  • Wonderful place to retreat and perfect location to discover the Olympic Park. The description and pictures of the place are spot-on. Fireplace, grill and hot tub made it an amazing cozy gem to enjoy at any weather. And indeed did we see lots of seals hanging out close by!

  • This is a perfect place to stay near Hoodsport right on the bay Lots of interesting places to visit in the area The property is extremely comfortable and well equipped You do have to access it in front of the 2 other properties and it is a little way from the parking but there is a couple of trollies to take you luggage We loved staying here watching The changing weather and the seals from the deck perfect stay

Our “Hood Hideaway” has great views of the Hood Canal and Olympic mountains. You’ll love our cabin because of the outdoors space, waterfront and old growth trees. My place is good for families (with kids).
“Hood Hideaway” is a place to get away from it all. The cabin is nestled in the trees on an acre with stairs and short trail to your own private beach and 100 feet of Hood Canal Waterfront. We don't have TV, or internet by design. We get enough electronics in our everyday life, so we set the cabin up as a retreat from the bustle. It is a perfect spot to enjoy long walks on the beach, swimming in the summer, fishing, collecting shells and harvesting oysters. Even on rainy days we enjoy playing cards, board games, or cozying up with a good book.
You are in the woods (it's a cabin). The pristine nature is what drew us to this spot. We have only a couple neighbors but you can look north and walk along the beach for miles without seeing any development. It's perfect for someone who wants to get away from it all, right in the midst of old growth cedar trees, and spectacular views.
  • We had a lovely stay! The place was easy to find with Darren's directions, and well stocked with the little things in the kitchen we forgot or found we needed. I particularly enjoyed the oysters!

    Nicholas2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. Surprisingly nice weather for February, but even if it had been raining the whole time we'd have been content to watch the rain from the large picture windows. Darren is easy to communicate with and the place is very clean and well equipped. The location is perfect for a refuge away from the bustle of city living.

    Colleen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived in rainy night so it’s difficult to find the house. The view is amazing, the oysters was delicious.

    Tipmanee2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this cabin. It was wonderful location— so peaceful and beautiful. We had such a great experience eating oysters straight from the property’s beach. The cabin stayed surprisingly warm with the little gas fireplace, and we had all the amenities we could have thought of! All we needed to do was bring our groceries. Darren was so helpful and responded very quickly. We loved our weekend here and hope to return!

  • You want a secluded sleepaway camp moment with your homies? Stay at this cabin! The beachfront cabin is cozy and cheerful — soft sheets, an assortment of CDs so eclectic that there is totally something for everyone, board games, etc. The path down to the beach made me feel like the heroine of a Hayao Miyazaki film on an adventure to see a seagull that can grant me a wish. The only sound at night was the gentle lapping of water on the shore and a lone, very opinionated sea lion. It was the best girls weekend get away ever! Highlights: kayaking with no one else in sight, imagining the grumpy sea lion’s various grievances, the roaring fire from the stove, the driftwood crab art work in the family room, and the Tracy Chapman CD that did NOT have “Fast Car” on it! 10/10, would recommend.

    Megan2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a band retreat at Darren's house. It was the perfect setting for creativity and fun!

    Kelly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Getting there in the dark was an adventure on its own, but waking up to the beautiful view of the water and eating a lot of yummy oysters were totally worth it. Having access to kayaks and being out on the water with no one else around was definitely a very nice bonus. The cabin was stocked with pretty much everything you need other than your own groceries, and Darren typically responds within 5 minutes! We had a very lovely stay being away from TVs and computers! High recommend :)

  • I thought this was a great little cabin w/ an awesome view. Here's the deal: this is Air BnB. You stay at places for the experience. This is a great little cabin tucked next to the woods with an awesome view. If you are expecting a hotel experience or every amenity you have at home, then don't stay at a cabin in the woods. It's up on the hill which means you have to walk (or drive) down the hill to the water. That didn't bother me one bit, but some people may feel uncomfortable crossing Hwy 101 on foot. The beach front area is a cool place to hang out (and it has a little playground). Restaurants are about 15-20 mins away. It's a nice spot to get away.

    Mandy2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cute little cabin with a wonderful view!

    Jocelin2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at the cabin. It's hidden from the house by a fence in the back yard so you get some privacy (the family wasn't around when I was there, but either way we would've had it). The view is fantastic. The resort is really awesome at responding, as they're onsite, so we were able to check out boats, check-in, ask questions, or whatever whenever we needed to. It was quiet and beautiful and I'd definitely come back.

    Jeffrey2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • If you know what to expect, you will love this. You park next to the family that lives here and walk through their backyard. You can close the fence they have and you are in your own privacy. It’s a beautiful view of the water and mountains. Great breeze from being higher up. Small kitchen and all of the things you would need. Comes with grill, fire pit, chairs, picnic table, and a small covered patio. We had our 15 month old with us. Her pack and play fit in the small closet... halfway at least. She had the luxury of playing with a bunch of toys left outside from the host family. We had it good because the host family was on vacation so we had the grounds to ourselves.... which is why we had such a great time. Our daughter loved the swings and different cars. The host’s parents gave us permission to have fun with it! The place is small, clean, and just rustic enough to feel like you’re in the woods. Don’t leave food out... we did and had a couple of mice come snack on it while we were sleeping... our fault!

  • Charming little cabin in the woods with a beautiful view of the water! Was close enough to resort to feel safe and tucked back in the woods just far enough to feel secluded. Comfortable- would stay again!

    Autumn2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin directly on the east side of good canal. Grill included. Huge picture window with lovely lake view. Parking and communal fire pits Available. Sarah and staff are good people. 10/10 would do again!

    Emmett2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • *** Amazing Water View*** The cabin was nestled by itself near the main house but away from all the other sites which was nice. We had our own fire pit to relax, cook, and jam out around to! The view was absolutely breathtaking!! The family was so nice! Everyone was so helpful with assisting us with whatever we needed! As I have never eaten oysters before this trip, I can tell you now they taste surprisingly tender and delicious!! It was so much fun to go out and find our food and then schuck them. We cooked them over our fire pit with a little garlic and butter and they were delicious!! We are definitely looking forward to going back!

  • Olga's place is super cute! My husband and I reserved this last minute with the hope of being closer to the Olympics for some hiking we can't get to easily from the city. Olga has set up the place to have everything you could need from spices in the kitchen for cooking to a variety of games to enjoy while listening to the stereo. We were so comfortable here from the get go with all the clear labeling to help us find things. This cabin is in the middle of a neighborhood but you feel very secluded with thick brush and trees on either side of property to hide the neighbors. We have T-Mobile and did not have signal if that is helpful to anyone, but there is WiFi so we didn't miss it. Getting groceries is easy as you enter Belfair. It is a 15-20 minute drive or so to travel between Belfair and the cabin. So it isn't an inconvenient drive but enough to want to plan ahead. We loved using the grill and sitting by the firepit. It was super quiet and peaceful. Get ready to climb stairs between the cabin and your car (we had to do a couple trips to do our bags and groceries) and also keep in mind that you need to climb a ladder to the bed space. Overall cute and cozy and a great quick staycation.

  • We loved our stay! The house was very clean and had everything we could ask for—including kayaks right off the beach. We want to make this place a yearly tradition.

    Jennifer2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was gorgeous and had everything (and then some) that any traveler would need. Jay was an awesome host, left us a welcome basket and we truly felt special! We will definitely be back!

    Patrice/Scott2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jay’s home was absolutely wonderful! Peaceful and perfect. Our favorite parts were the fire pit, watching the eagles along the water, and the view from the house, but we loved the upscale touches - like the beautiful truly 2 person shower, heated tiled floor, gas fireplace, patio with view, top of the line kitchen and lots of space for 2 couples. Jay furnished the house nicely and comfortably. We love the area - lots to do or nothing to do, what ever you prefer. We will be back!

Take in the sparkling views from 3 levels of this stunning 4 level custom home just steps from the waters of the Hood Canal. Huge decks wrap around the water side of this beautiful home. Walk out the sliding glass door of a bedroom onto the large patio. Have your morning coffee while watching the Harbor Seals soak up the morning sun. In the winter gaze out from the living room onto the crystal waters while warming yourself by the woodstove . Brand new hot tub installed in March 2019.
FROM NOW UNTIL THE END OF APRIL we would prefer new bookings go to guests requesting to "Shelter in Place". Preferably guests who already share a home, and have not been exposed to someone with Covid-19. State parks are closed, as are tourist activities, and restaurants are only offering take out. Gas stations, grocery stores, and hardware stores in the area, are open. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) issued a temporary order to close all recreational fishing and shellfishing in the entire state in order to further prevent the spread of COVID-19. WE DO HAVE HIGH SPEED CABLE INTERNET AND FREE WIFI. And a brand new 6 person hot tub installed March 19th 2019. This is a "whole house" listing. You and your guests will be the only people occupying the property during your stay. This amazing custom home was designed and built for the actor Shephard Houghton and his wife in 1984. They would spend four or five months here each summer. In Shep’s memoirs he writes “It’s a beautiful home, with a view of sea and forest and [the public beaches in the Hoodsport area offer] lots of oysters, clams, shrimp, and salmon”. Shep appeared in silent films as a youngster, and went on to appear in such films as “Gone with the Wind”, “Showboat”, “Red Badge of Courage”, “Hello Dolly”, “Hindenburg”, and TV’s “The Mary Tyler Moore Show”, “Kojac”, and “Star Trek”, among others, before retiring in 1976. He was well-liked for his personality and work ethic and befriended quite a few Hollywood legends along the way. Framed posters of some of his work are hanging in the game house. There is just so much to enjoy about this house! Cook up a family meal in the large kitchen (while enjoying canal views), rest on one of the 2 large decks. Play pool, darts, ping-pong, or Donkey Kong in the private game house attached to the house. Or just explore the steeply terraced property to enjoy the wide-open views of the Hood Canal. (There is a fig tree, plum tree, and grape vine, all offering fruit during their season.) The brand new 6 person hot tub, installed 19 March 2019, has a beautiful view of the Hood Canal. The home is conveniently located on the beautifully scenic coastal highway 101 north. Of course, the Olympic National Forest is at your door and Lake Cushman is just 5 miles away. There is hiking, boating, sightseeing, fishing, shellfish harvesting (off-site), hunting, shopping, etc., all within minutes of the house. There are even a few popular Casinos just a short distance south on Highway 101. Our home will sleep up to 10-12 people comfortably, depending on the number of couples and kids. PLEASE review the bed situation here and only bring the number of people you booked for. Some of the bed situations have limited privacy. BEDS AND PRIVACY: There is a private bedroom with queen bed, a private bedroom with king bed, a loft with 4 twin beds, a full size futon on the ground floor in the office area adjacent to the washer/dryer, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the game house. The loft is reached via a wood and metal spiral staircase (see pics). The kitchen is large and well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, small appliances, blender, mixer, microwave, coffeemaker, dishwasher, etc. Guests provide their own food. We also supply the towels, shampoo, body wash, washer and dryer, laundry and dish detergents and beach towels.
Awesome Hoodsport neighborhood of beach homes, quaint shops and coffee houses, ice cream stands, and seafood restaurants. Lake Cushman is just 5 miles away and the Olympic National Forest is practically at your doorstep. Great hiking trails are just minutes away. Shellfish harvesting is just 1/2 mile away at Lilliwaup public beaches. There is no shellfish harvesting or water access at our house. Neighboring properties are off limits.
  • Amazing house with great amenities and terrific view. Very prompt and helpful host.

    Colin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this spot. The game room is a huge asset and the building itself, and the history behind it, is really fun.

    Vik2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location! House was very clean!

    Raveen2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy’s place was really quirky, in a good way. The textured wallpaper, the stained glass windows, and seahorse bath faucet were just a few of the nice touches. The view was gorgeous. The hot tub was hot when we got there. The game room was a blast. Truly a pleasure. Pro note: Figure out the light switches early. They’re a bit confusing when it comes to figuring out which switch lights up which place. There are a lot of lights and some of the switches feel a little hidden.

    Joel2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy’s home is perfect for a families—multiple sleeping spaces, a game room and a hot tub! The house is in a lovely location and is clean and private.

    Keri2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The view from this cozy three-story mini-compound was spectacular looking out over beautiful Hood Canal framed by gorgeous pine trees. The main level is kept toasty with a wood stove well stocked from a wood pile under the main level outside. The large kitchen looks out the huge windows to the view and has the basic necessities you need to make meals and eat them. The 2 bedrooms on the second level both have big windows looking out at the water. The seahorse nozzle standing shower was interesting in the second bedroom, both have sliding doors to a large deck with lounge chairs. Third level is reached with a spiral staircase and is more a loft with a few beds and apparatus to hang clothes. The game room was cool, ping pong, darts, etc. It was just two of us so we did not utilize this area much. The hot tub was very nice, just outside the kitchen between the house and game room/garage looking out over the water as well. Several seating levels and bubble valves and even a little waterfall feature! Pet friendly for our little guy, there is a small yard. There is also a fourth basement level that has a washer and dryer and a futon, desk area. A door to the outside leads to a parking area and the wood pile.

    Gary2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay. Very clean and amazing view.

    Jeremy2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • The Deck House is such a wonderful getaway! We had a fantastic time enjoying the view of the water, especially from the hot tub! There were only two of us in the house but it could have easily fit a lot more and we'd love to come back again with friends next time, especially to use the game room. Very nice that it was dog-friendly and our pup had a great time hanging out with us. Can't wait to come back again!

    Derek2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Great views! Just the peaceful retreat this family of 4 needed. Sat by that fire pit all day taking in all the sights and sounds of Hood Canal. A fantastic time all around.

    Justin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! Gorgeous location, incredibly comfortable house with many amenities. We really appreciated use of the kayaks and being able to harvest oysters and clams. Harley was so nice and very responsive. Will definitely be back.

    Robert2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and amenities to enjoy your PNW stay in the Olympic National Park area. Harley and Rosalynn replied to all messages in a couple minutes and they had the best advice on how to enjoy the place and the area. Their Welcome Book was detailed and provided information on the house, the area, the kayaking, the hiking, and the oyster hunting. If you have a Washington State Fishing License then you can enjoy the short walk to beach during low tide and get a couple oysters for a quick snack, definitely a highlight of our stay. I would recommend this place to any group of 4-6 looking for a weekend of relaxation (maybe some hiking if the weather holds), kayaking, cooking, and making fires.

    Nicholas2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived just as night was falling and were greeted by a beautifully lit home with so many thoughtful Christmas touches! The home was very clean and had all of the things that we needed for an amazing day. We explored a lot while we were there but I would have been very happy to stay in the comfort of the house and look at the water all day. We will be back soon for sure!

    Gemma2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Harley's place had a breath taking view, I couldn't have imagined a better way to wake up Christmas morning. The place had a Christmas tree waiting for us which was a very thoughtful touch. Would recommend getting away for the weekend to this quaint, hidden location. And don't forget about the sauna!

    Bailey2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a terrific weekend on Hood Canal. Harley’s place is perfect home base for kayaking and hiking in Olympics. And the Oysters were an added bonus!

We had our own kitchen and bathroom and had all the cooking supplies we could need for a couple nights (and more)! The unit is very close to the beach but isn't exactly on the beach- there's another builidng between this one and the beach. The unit is located at Mike's Beach Resort and is very close to hama hama oyster saloon- just a 3 min drive. Check in and check out was very easy and our hosts were super accommodating and friendly. • Thank you for opening your family Homestead to our family. The home was well-equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's difficult to find a place centrally located that can accommodate a large bunch and also allows our furry family, and yours did. My mom enjoyed seeing many of your vintage items and it reminded her of her mom. We all enjoyed daily walks to the water and even the wind blowing through the trees and waves crashing. Thank you!

This is a beautiful house on Hood Canal with stunning views from the large two story windows and large new deck with stairs down to the beach. All furnishings are updated inside the house with a fully stocked kitchen. This is the best place in the world to disconnect and relax.
The home is conveniently located just off highway 101 but is very private and secluded as the house sits on almost 2 acres, which is very rare for waterfront property in this area. All rooms of the house have beautiful views of Hood Canal and there is access to a private beach. Both bedrooms are on the ground floor with sliding doors opening out onto the deck. There is a cozy wood burning stove in the living room. A large hot tub is housed in a separate gazebo outside as well as a fire pit.

Escape to the Hood Canal and enjoy spectacular water and wildlife views - seals, otters, eagles... So close to the water that at high tide the water laps at the bulkhead under the deck. Grab a beverage, choose a deck chair, and enjoy some down time. Beautiful open beam ceilings make the space open and bright. Fully stocked kitchen, comfy beds, fun beach décor. Fireplace, Netflix, games, puzzles, books, and more. Located -2 hours to Pacific Northwest top spots - Mt Rainier, San Juan's, Seattle
The fun beachy décor adds to this renovated waterfront beauty. It is comfortable, clean, and a great place to getaway and relax. The wrap around deck includes a covered patio table/chairs/umbrella, patio heater, gathering table, Adirondack chairs, BBQ, string lights, outdoor shower, and steps down to the beach. Comfy beds - all have an extra pillow top mattress - even the bunks. Main floor bedroom with queen bed, bathroom, open kitchen, living room and laundry. Upstairs a king room with sitting area to enjoy the view, another large group bedroom space with a queen bed, twins, bunks, and 2nd bath. Bath and closet are shared upstairs. Both bathrooms offer shower and bathtub. The upstairs tub is a Jacuzzi tub as well. Kayaks available for your use. Bring your stand-up paddle board too. Easy to launch from the deck. Mooring buoy available for your boat or jet-ski right in front of the property. Public boat launch about 10 minutes away. Smart TV plus cable. Watch your favorite Netflix shows or sports game. Kitchen includes granite counter-tops, stainless appliances, trash compactor, expansive peninsula for serving and bar stools for additional seating. It is fully stocked including coffee maker, Starbucks espresso machine, toaster, waffle iron, crock pot, spices, butter warmers, fondue pot, and even a chocolate fountain. Fireplace. Washer dryer, bathtub downstairs, Jacuzzi tub upstairs. We have oysters galore on our beach! You are welcome to pick oysters during your stay to consume on the property. No removing of shellfish. Our favorite is to BBQ them then dip in garlic butter. Remember to pick up a shellfish license. Throw the used shells back on to the beach to protect the oyster habitat. Parking available for 3 vehicles max. 2 spots next to the house and 1 narrow spot across the street. AC coming in summer 2020!!
Located on a small inlet on the Canal where vacation homes dot the shoreline. The Alderbrook Inn and Golf Resort about 40 minutes away. A couple of cute restaurants and shops near here. Explore Wineries in the area and on the way to Hoodsport. Several casinos on the Kitsap Peninsula are within an hour or so drive.
  • We had such a wonderful time at Shannon’s cabin and we appreciated all of the forethought and extra little touches that she put into making the beach house so comfy and welcoming. From the fully stocked kitchen, all necessary tools/equipment for clamming/oystering, abundant firewood, ample paper goods and cleaning supplies, a number of games for the kids... we felt that every aniticipated need of ours was met and more! My two kids especially enjoyed the beach at low tide, being able to harvest for the freshest oysters and clams for dinner, and the novelty of experiencing and enjoying a chocolate fountain for the first time! I couldn’t believe how much fun they had keeping themselves entertained by board games, puzzles, beach combing and fishing! Screen-time was virtually non-existent, such a welcome thing to see in this day and age. With the health crisis that we face today, we felt so safe and so comfy at this little oasis away from it all. The little town of Belfair was convenient and everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. I feel like I truly hit the jackpot with this little gem. From anywhere view out of the house, it felt as if we were in a boat on the water (without the waves!). To top it all off, Shannon was the most welcoming and accommodating host, always so friendly and responsive. She really wanted to make sure that our stay was excellent! It is so refreshing to be on the receiving end of such hospitality. We are hoping to make our way back... hopefully with better weather! Thanks for helping us live some of our fondest memories, Shannon!

  • We had a very nice relaxing weekend at the beach house. The house has everything you will need. The highlights were waking up to the sunrise from the upstairs bedroom and harvesting fresh oysters off the beach! We would absolutely recommend staying here!

  • We celebrated our mother’s 90th in this spectacular home. The view of the water, its birds and seals, and a fire crackling in the fireplace, set the scene for a very memorable family celebration in October. Shannon was attentive to our every need, the house was sparkling clean, and we have marvelous memories to last a lifetime.

  • This cute little place is conveniently located off the 101, well maintained, and well managed. Quiet at night with a lovely view of a canal. Lots of amenities, kitchenette, microwave, fridge, 2 beds, and a nearby restaurant. Staff was courteous, helpful, and flexible! Thanks again for a great stay!

  • The Creekside Inn is a cute little inn right off the freeway, making it an easy stop between Port Angeles and Seattle. The road was busy during the day with some noise but didn't bother us at all during the night. There were a lot of beautiful hikes within 15-30 minutes and Lake Cushman is only 15 min away so it's a great location for easy access to adventure! We walked just across the parking lot to a little family owned restaurant for dinner, Tides. It was nice to have an option to walk to dinner but if you want more options, the downtown Hoodsport area is about a 5 min drive. Wendy was a wonderful host, very friendly and quick to respond to communication.

Located on 12 acre family retreat of quiet, private, no-bank waterfront with spectacular views of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. This cozy beach house offers a classic NW beach experience just 90 minutes from Seattle. We recommend spending the day in the sun and water, enjoying dinner and having a beach fire at sunset. In the winter, light the fireplace, get cozy and gaze at the snow covered Olympics.
The beach house is located just feet from the water but is also surrounded by woods for maximum privacy.
  • Idyllic and tranquil, nothing beats the view or the vibe. Bring plenty of firewood for cozy fires.

  • Everything a cabin should be! Right on the beach with a view of the mountains. Looking forward to coming back.

  • Fantastic experience in Hood Canal! Adorable cabin right on the water with amazing views and amenities. We stayed in the winter and enjoyed the views, walks along the shoreline, and the amazing fireplace in the cabin. Kitchen is well stocked with amenities to easily cook your own meals. Pull out sofa/futon is very comfortable for extra guests, and all linens and bedding provided are very comfortable. Dog friendly as well - thank you!

    Ivana2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can't communicate any better than anyone else has about how delightful our stay was. We felt like it was our slice of heaven for the weekend. Seals playing and fishing all day, perfect fireplace set up with the canal and mountain views right out the huge windows. Our dogs loved the beach, and the available kayak made for a great afternoon on the water.

    Sean2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, private location. We loved watching the seals feed and harass the seagulls right off the porch.

  • The views from the house are stunning! Inside, everything is clean and modern. It’s easy to cook and still enjoy the views. The stairs to the beach are steep but stable and we were able to get up and down with a 3 year old no problem. It’s a great location to explore the Hood Canal and the east side of the Olympic National Park. We would definitely book again.

    Francesca2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great space for friends to catch their breath. Only went down to the beach once since there wasn’t much space to walk along the shore. Great clean space!

    Shalom2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible! The wall of windows looking over the water is beautiful and just as it looks in the pictures, making the living/dining/kitchen space really stunning. There are actually more rooms than the pictures give one to believe: a master bed with a king-sized bed and attached bath; a 2nd room downstairs with a queen bed and large closet, an upstairs room with a queen and single bed, and then a TV area in the open, loft up with a futon. So very spacious. And the kitchen is large (though peculiarly laid-out and not especially well-equipped). All in all, a perfect getaway - though you can get this same place a lot cheaper on Vacasa (the firm that runs the house).

    Priti2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely would stay again. Had a great getaway
