The town of Hampden offers eateries, grocery, and recreation trails for your short or long-term visit. Pre-scheduled airport pick up available for 30.00 round trip with me or my husband. Grocery pick up available for 25.00.

There is a tiny bath with shower stall and toilet. The bedroom has a queen bed and closet and is very comfy and cozy. The galley kitchen area has a stove/oven, full refrigerator, microwave, Keurig and tea kettle. All of the items you would need to cook a lovely meal are also provided.
My sister, Sharry, and I offer the CharmHouse Cabin on Main; nestled on the edge of the woods off Route 1A in Hampden, Maine. You will be conveniently located close to everything, but feel as though you are comfy and cozy in the woods. There are five cabins located on Sharry’s property, four of which are occupied currently by long-term tenants. Sharry lives on the property in a 110- year- old restored farmhouse and has been lovingly bringing this 100 acre farm back to its charm of yesteryear. When this little cutie of a cabin opened up, we decided to offer it up to travelers who are looking for short-term or extended stays in the Bangor, Brewer, Hampden area. These quirky but quaint and cozy cabins were built back in the early part of 1950s as far as we know, and has provided a warm place to stay for townspeople ever since. Sharry and I are lovingly restoring them so that we can share our community with others. It would be most suited for a traveling couple or a family with one small child or infant. This cabin is 360 square feet and includes a small bathroom with shower stall, kitchen area, sitting area and bedroom. Everything you need to prepare a meal and enjoy the peace and quiet of the cabin is provided. The cabin is a year-round property with a connected and privately owned trail for snowshoeing, hiking or cross-country skiing. In summer months, a shared grill and firepit area is provided to unwind from a day trip to the coast or just gaze at the star-filled Maine evenings. Hampden is a suburb of the Bangor/Brewer area, but a has grocery, pharmacy, convenience stores and eateries. There are hiking trails in town at Dorothea Dix Park and Reed’s Brook Trails. https://www.mainetrailfinder.com/trails/trail/reeds-brook-trails https://maineanencyclopedia.com/dix-dorothea/ The Bangor area is centrally located and is home to famous author Stephen King. If you’re a fan, you can check out SK Tours, which takes you to the locations that inspired his books and movies. Or, have a nice picture in front of the bat gates at his West Broadway home. https://sk-tours.com/activities/tour-of-stephen-kings-derry-maine/ The Bog Walk is a wooden walking path built through a marshland system to preserve its habitat. It is a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere and great for photos. http://cityforest.bangorinfo.com/boardwalk.htm The Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion provides outdoor concert series from May through September, featuring such acts as Dave Matthews, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Luke Bryan, Phish, etc. See their website for upcoming shows. https://www.eventticketscenter.com/bangor-concert-tickets/151532/e?msclkid=3f2f41bdf8a71059bc0c1dc84ecb463a&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=A001%20Amphitheatre%20-%20US&utm_term=%2Bdarlings%20%2Bwaterfront%20%2B2019&utm_content=Darling's%20Waterfront%20Pavilion Distance to some of the most popular areas for day trips: Darling’s Waterfront Concert Venue/Cross Center: 5.7 miles (10 minutes) Bangor International Airport: 10 miles (15 minutes) Acadia National Park: 50 miles (approximately 1 hour depending on traffic) Belfast: 28 miles (35 minutes) Camden/Rockland: 45 miles (1 hour) Portland: 128 miles (2 hours) Mt. • Coleen and Michael's cottage is a great place to stay if you are looking for someplace cozy with peace and quiet. We had a delightful stay!

    Alyssa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming cottages with lots of special touches. Communication was easy and fast and both Coleen and Sharry went out of their way to meet all our needs and to be flexible when our plans changed and we needed to add additional time. Would highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

    Rebekah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place exceeding my expectations! It is definitely small but perfect for one or two people. I loved the cozy, thoughtful touches. Sharry stopped by to welcome me in person and gave me so many fantastic recommendations for local food! This place is comfortable and it was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of traveling for work. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • What a gift you will give yourself if you stay here. I stayed in cabin #2 which was like being transported to a cottage in the French countryside. The decorations are so beautiful, and it is so cozy. They have truly thought of everything here. You are greeted by a binder with all of the information about the farmhouse, the local atmosphere, and “things to do” in Bangor list. The WiFi password is on an adorable little board that’s right within view, the keys are hanging right where they said they’d be, there was a welcome sign with my name on it, chocolates and clean linens waiting, and a cozy fireplace welcoming me to my weekend home. It was absolutely a dream. I love to snowshoe, so there’s ample place for that. The area is quiet is serene, which was perfect for me, as a writer. It was just the best location, with the most thoughtful hosts, at a price that made me feel like a thief. Do yourself a favor, even if you’re local to Bangor, stay here. Be transported by the magic of this little cabin.

  • Location was pretty far out there but it's sure worth it. Dan was really nice and gave us great tips for local attractions. Great communicator respond super quick. I would definitely go there again.

    Adam2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay. A nice log cabin in the woods with two guest rooms, shared bath, common area with living room and kitchen, host stays upstairs in the loft. Dan was very welcoming and friendly. Communication was excellent.

    Tim2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most unique experience you will have at ARBnB. Dan is a most gracious host and has so many things for breakfast it’s like going to your very own restaurant. The grounds are amazing and Dan is the most friendly and relaxed host. Don’t miss an opportunity to stay here on your travels.

    Anita2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy retreat on beautiful grounds. Maine is just stunning in autumn and Dan's place was perfect.

    Mary2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very quaint and the location is serene. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to lay low, this is a fine option.

  • This Air BNB, Log cabin at Stonecrop Meadow hosted by Dan in Hampden, Maine, is a lovely log cabin in a beautiful traditional Maine setting. Dan is an excellent host making sure every detail was managed with care. The accommodations were very warm, comfortable and inviting. Dan is very knowledgeable about the area and can help make a visit there very enjoyable. I will book this lodging again when in the area.

    Miriam2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect. Beautiful house in a beautiful environment. Comfortable room and shower, breakfast pantry a great touch - would greatly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in the area.

    Ido2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great how this place is both convenient yet remote and rustic and comfortable! It is an easy drive to the Bangor airport and to other destinations in this part of Maine, but the long dirt road to the property was my first indication that this Airbnb is nestled in a wooded area off the beaten track. There is a large meadow which was sunny and warm during my October visit, there are trails right out the back door of the cabin, there is a well stocked kitchen and cupboards filled with bathroom supplies and linens, and the queen room was warm and cozy. I slept well and woke to the sounds of the rooster, perfect!

  • If I could sum up this house in one word it would be “home”. No matter where you come from, the moment you walk in the front door you can feel a sense of belonging in the doorway. We could feel the amount of effort and love that went into everything in this house from the foundation to the decor. I lost both of my grandparents at a young age and, I can’t really explain it, but being in this house brought a piece of them back for me in the short time I was lucky enough to stay here. Getting away from that, the location and view were nothing short of breathtaking. The house was neat and clean but did not lack that “lived in” feel that we absolutely loved. From the fireplace, to the kick ass set of records, to something as small as having s’mores ingredients prepared for the guests, it felt like this place had an answer for every question you had. Thank you for an amazing stay and wonderful weekend. Thank you for bringing a piece of them back. We will be back, Jason!

    Wagner2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jason was super communicative. He was quick to respond and answer any questions I had regarding the area, the place etc. The house was very clean , it’s a quite area and the place is stocked with all your daily necessities and more. Having such a responsible host that cares about his tenants made me feel much more comfortable being there . There is a very cool sound system with a record player , fire place with logs stacked ready to go, fishing poles , canoes , kayaks...it’s everything you can ask for when booking a cabin with a water front view in Maine to help gather experience on your trip. I will most certainly be booking this place again and 100% recommend Jason as a host.

    Corey2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Roberts place was very nice. A little far out of the way-than we expected. Everything was clean. The view and fall colours were absolutely beautiful

    Ruby2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin in a beautiful location. We watched the leaves turn across the pond, reflecting in the pond. The cabin reflects obvious family love.

  • If you are kind and considerate you cannot find a better place to stay than Nadene's. This was our first AirBnB stay, and what a great experience it was. We went to Bangor to visit our son at UMaine. When he graduates, I do not expect to stay with Nadene. That privilege will go to my mother and my aunt. Otherwise if we go to Bangor again I know where we'll be making reservations.

    Eric2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a superb deal. The room is spacious and clean. The house is tidy and welcoming. I felt comfortable and at home.

  • This is a very pretty house, which is near to the downtown. You can take a Uber or bus to go everywhere. Nadene is a very nice landlady. She takes care of us very much. It is so lucky to meet her in this city. Of course, the house has everything you need. I promise this is a very good place to live.

  • Mandy was a great host! She made sure we had access to everything we needed. She also made sure the house was setup in a way that worked well for us and our pups before our arrival. She communicated regularly and remedied any issues that came up. Thanks for having us!!

  • Dan’s glampsite provided a truly magical experience! It was easy to get to with my GPS, but nestled far away and off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle. The tent set up was awesome, and I was giddy going to sleep and waking up surrounded by the beautiful nature Stonecrop has to offer. I felt like I was in a fairytale of sorts. If you can’t tell, I absolutely recommend treating yourself to at least a couple nights on Dan’s property. Can’t wait to go back!

Dan was great with refreshing our privy tent and gave us extra towels for the rain (even though we stayed completely dry in our tent!) Great experience. The site had everything we needed.

  • Mandy’s listing was everything that we needed. It was very spacious and had a kitchen that had everything that we needed for cooking meals after a day out. It’s a little over an hour away from Acadia National Park, which was where we spent most of our time. The check-in was seamless and the place itself was cozy and clean. Mandy was a great host and she was very responsive whenever we had a question or concern. The only thing that was a downside, and this isn’t on the Mandy and her hospitality, but the sound from the other wings are heard very loudly. There were just guests above us that were a bit too loud, especially late-night. So just be wary that it can get a bit loud depending on who is renting above this wing. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay and we would definitely stay here again!

    Nadine2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place exemplifies everything that makes AirBnB special. Mandy was kind and welcoming and provided really fresh eggs. She went out of her way to make sure we had a good visit and even let me milk one of her beautiful goats. The place is comfortable and quirky. Didn't use the pool but it was lovely to be able to look out from the dining area and see it. The view from the bedroom balcony is spectacular. The appliances in the kitchen were better than the ones I have at home. Loved having the well behaved chickens in the yard. Her communication was exceptional. Next time we are in Maine I will definitely stay here.

    Anne2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeting by chickens. Mandy was a super responsive host. The place was as clean as you could expect for a functioning farmhouse. The lap pool was very nice. The driveway was a little treacherous for our prius, but we made it work. All around a great value for the $$. Thank you Mandy!!

    Erika2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Mandy is the best!! She is incredibly responsive and helpful. The house is ideally located just outside of Bangor and has everything you could want. She ensures that you have everything you need- she truly cares about her guests!

    Kelsey2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The house is exactly as advertised and is a fun stay with it's unique layout.

    Treva2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay at Mandy's place. When we arrived, we were delighted to be greeted by a large and enthusiastic flock of chickens and chicks. The space is very welcoming and could easily accommodate a number of travelers with a good mix of private and shared spaces. There was a clean, well equipped kitchen and a full size refrigerator with freezer. It is located in a quiet and beautiful spot with lovely views. It was only a short way off of the main highway and was easy to find using GPS. We did not get to meet Mandy in person, because we turned in early, but she was very responsive and welcoming.

    Sara2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Super housing, and thank you again to Mandy for his hospitality and responsiveness. I advise!

  • This was our very first AirBnB stay and it was a pleasure. The home was very cozy, well stocked with everything you could possibly need and it's location was great! There was a map on the fridge of the downtown area that was a very nice touch as well. I have been spending more time in Bangor lately and I am looking forward to using Leah's place again!

  • Very clean and functional space. Greg was very quick with his responses.

    Priya2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Greg was a superb host. The location was a perfect central location, and the apt was as described. Greg answered all questions quickly and was always available to make sure I was comfortable. All essentials were readily available, and the inside was quite cozy for myself and the dogs. As for the bed from a previous review, I had no issues. As a traveling nurse, on days off, I could literally sleep all day in it. All in all, I felt welcomed, safe, and comfortable here. Would definitely recommend.

    Sarah2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place has great value considering it’s private! My only complaint is about the bed. Very difficult to sleep in because it isn’t firm. That’s just my personal preference but I can’t imagine anyone would be comfortable on that thing. Other than that, the place was clean, private, and the water was hot. Greg was a great host and even offered us his own spices when we were cooking which was very kind. Thank you

  • Great place to hunker down after a day of hiking

    S. Andres2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, super easy check in process. I was in and out and it worked great for that.

    Mandi2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Arnold is a very nice host. Loved my time in winter harbor. Only drawback was the bed: it is the most squeaky bad known to man.

    Andrew2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Greg's private apartment worked very well as an overnight place to sleep. The lockbox allowed access when we arrived late at night without bothering Greg. The personalized parking spot made it easier to unpack and get to sleep. The living room was spacious and comfortable. The TV and internet worked well. Greg honored my request to wash the bedding and towels in non-fragrant laundry detergent. His communication was quick and full of useful information. Overall, the private apartment was quiet, very functional and met our needs. We thank Greg for being a good host.

  • This place is a gem- and so are the hosts! My partner and I stayed for a week in search of housing in the area, and this was a great home away from home. The place was great and had everything we needed. It's centrally located and within walking distance to downtown and some local eateries. Coleen and Michael were fantastic hosts who gave us suggestions of places to visit and eat and checked in with us throughout the visit. I cannot recommend them and their Airbnb enough. If we weren't moving to the area, we would definitely come back and stay with them!

We're on a bit of a hill on the outskirts of Orono. The space is a remodeled and expanded former garage which the locals called a barn. It has an upstairs sleeping loft, a bathroom with a shower, a hot plate and a refrigerator, and a main, large room downstairs. One can walk to downtown in less than 20 minutes where we have at least 5 restaurants. There are hiking possibilities without driving anywhere. The University of Maine is our chief attraction but we have sporting opportunities, too
The unit is a recently renovated and expanded garage which now has a large open room downstairs that we use for art projects and yoga when guests are not present. A cot could be set up downstairs for a third guest if desired. Upstairs is a sleeping loft. We tend toward minimalism, but can configure the space with extra furniture if desired. We can also provide art stations and supplies. The upstairs loft sleeps two comfortably. The unit shares part of a wall with the main house, separated by a locked door. Guests don’t have to see us unless they want to meet. We have a dog and two cats, though they don’t enter the unit. We clean thoroughly between guests with clean sheets and towels. Life is too short to iron the sheets, but Émilia up the road does do that. Pets are fine, but we charge a $25 cleaning fee after pet stays to adequately remove their hair, though probably not perfectly. People with pet allergies might want pet free units that are available elsewhere in Orono. We are « naturalizing » the grounds with roses and wildflowers. Feel free to roam about and occupy the porch (shared with us), though it’s cold in winter.
We're on the main street of the town but behind the house is a watershed so there are no neighbors to the north and east of the house. There are three small waterfalls in the creek. It's a bit of a steep walk to the creek, but easy if one is in shape. There's nice hiking around an old, abandoned quarry on the other side of the creek with easier access from a road just past the creek (where trucks used to enter but don't anymore).
  • Thought the rustic tiny house was beautiful 😉You will enjoy a lovely time there!

  • Just off the main road in Orono, (were I once lived and had no idea this gem was here!). Easy access to downtown, restaurants, and gas stations. Upon entering the house, you are welcomed with inviting warmth and a very lovely smell of lavender and sage. The indigenous decorations are beautiful, really fascinated by the two skulls and the coyote pelt. The kitchenette was easy to use! Lewis had supplied a bag of coffee beans to grind for fresh coffee. We helped ourselves to books that were laid out. The bathroom was very clean and beautiful! The stone sink really added so much and the shower was spacious and clean. My favorite part had to have been the very cozy loft. The low ceilings provided a "den" like feel and the bed is probably more comfortable than my own! And, in the morning, Lewis had shoveld a path to our car through the freshly fallen snow! Overall, this stay has been one of my absolute favorites.

This is an adorable rustic but lux little get-a-way in the heart of Jackson, Maine. There are several cabins built on the property creating winter village feel. We've opened this cabin to winter rentals with the caveat that a guest could potentially wake up on a very cold morning with a temporary loss of water at the kitchen sink due to freezing. However, the condition is usually temporary and just effects the kitchen sink and not any of the bathroom fixtures.
This listing is for the front cabin called the Bird's Nest which is now completely renovated! We are always adding to and fluffing it. Please let us know what your needs are and we can give you an idea if this cabin might be a good fit for your escape. Situated on 10 wooded acres to wander on.... and another 100+ acres down the road with a stream, pond and woods roads for hiking!
Jackson is three miles outside of Brooks and has a little cafe that resources from some amazing local farm foods. Ralphs Cafe is seasonal so check hours. Very centrally located to Augusta, Waterville, Belfast and Bangor.
  • An amazing place for quiet reflection and cozy comfort. The wood burning stove kept everything nice and toasty, but even if we had not used it, it was still warm and comfy inside. It did add a great amount of ambiance though! It doesn't have a tv, but we did not miss it even a little (even my teenage son didn't miss it!). Beds are quite comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. If you have difficulty climbing, stay in the bed downstairs. But the loft upstairs was so nice and worth the climb up the unique staircase. Jim and Doreen's directions were spot on and they gave us a head's up on any inclement weather conditions. It was a wonderful place to stay and we hope to be back again next year!

  • Great little cabin tucked in the woods! My husband and I were impressed with the thoughtful details and incredible amount of comfort provided in this cabin. We can’t wait to come back, 10/10!

    Ambrosia2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing spot! You won't regret staying here, we are already plotting our return. Note that nearby Ralph's is not currently open for dinner so you will need to travel a bit for dinner (it's open for breakfast and lunch though!! It's sooo good)!

    Katie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was perfect for our stay in Maine. It was very clean and quite cozy. It has a homey feel that you don't get everywhere. There was easy communication with the hosts and questions were answered quickly. We throughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to stay again.

  • This is such a sweet spot, tucked away in the woods. The hosts were very responsive and sweet...and the amenities were super clean and fresh feeling. Would definitely recommend!

  • Super great place .. the craftsmanship of the renovations was amazing ..

    Kris2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is amazing. It’s gorgeous, clean, smells incredible, and is just the right distance away from town. My husband and I aren’t very outdoorsy, but we loved it. I think people more outdoorsy than we are would absolutely adore it here. The beds were both so comfy, and the pillows are amazing. The wood burning stove is also great! Love, love, love.

    Megan2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • What an excellent cabin!! Cozy, clean and just adorable! Relaxed by the fire pit and snuggled up for a couple nights for a weekend getaway. Not hard to find at all and great local stores for food and goods. Loved Ralph's cafe down the road. We will be back to visit again for sure! Don't pass up a chance to stay here if you can!

  • This was the second place we have stayed in one of Derek’s places. We love the style, the location, and the value. Very comfortable, and a great price. We need to be in Bangor several times a year for family connections, and a place like this just makes our trips much easier.

    Robert2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Derek’s place is perfect, great location, close to all sorts of shops, bars, and restaurants. Clean as a whistle, with everything you could need from extra blankets to a hair dryer. Loved the record player and convince of the smart TV. We hope to come back and visit again sometime. Thank you!!

    Sydney2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was truly an excellent space. The apartment was located in central Bangor and within walking distance of most everything. Additional perks for being directly above a brewery which; I can truthfully say, you couldn’t tell while being in the apartment. The most noise we could hear was the neighbors above occasionally walking around. This space was also quite stunning and extremely clean. The attention to detail is impeccable and had everything you could possibly need and want during the stay. Highly recommend however!

    Gretchen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Derek's place is everything that was described. It is stylish, located right in the centre of town and equipped with everything you need. To top it off you are above one of the best micro brewery's in the area. What is not to like.

    Paul2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This property is a 5 star choice for all categories. Derek was super fast in responding to my inquiries. Check-in was smooth, location is perfect, and most of all apartment is gorgeous with updated everything and sun-filled space! I will for sure stay there again if available for my next trip!

We welcome you into our tiny house - a renovated ice fishing shack on our organic farm. We are 30 minutes from Bangor, 30 minutes from Ellsworth, and 45 minutes to Acadia National Park. Hiking trails, organic gardens, pristine lakes, and beautiful views right outside your door. This is rustic! Solar powered and wood heating. If you like camping, this is a place for you.
This small home has a big heart! Come stay on our organic farm in the privacy of your own tiny house. There are hiking trails right outside that lead up and around the Bald Mountain, several beautiful swimming lakes within driving distance, blueberries and apples right outside your door during their season, and abundant wildlife and livestock to admire. The cabin itself is cozy and comfortable and is glamping at its best.
Dedham is a small town in rural Maine. It is unique because of its lakes and hills between Bangor and Ellsworth. It's fantastically close enough to various shopping places and attractions, yet far enough from the bustle of the town center to offer quiet nights and beautiful, rural sights.
  • A very cute, small stay. Perfect for a night on your way to Acadia or downeast Maine.

  • This place is great for people who want to enjoy the outdoors of Maine, but do not want to commit fully to camping. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating (helped us with the wood stove). What you see in the listing is accurate, but if you have any questions Sadie responds very quickly.

  • The Sugar Shack was the perfect get-away for me. I’m a country girl who lives in the city and travels too much for work. I needed something quiet and quant with great views, this place delivered. Sadie told me it might be cold and we could start a fire. We had it on for a bit and to our surprise the blankets kept us plenty warm. I loved waking up at to all the farm animals and would’ve loved to spend more time here. Thanks Sadie!!

  • I love 5 star hotels BUT I also loved the shack (it's a brand new dwelling). Such an adventure! Clean, quiet, nice touches and your own well-built private outhouse. I never felt so happy and alive on a sunny Friday morning. I will come back soon.

  • Beautiful place with beautiful views!

    Lisa2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome spot! Everything was perfect! The privacy, the amenities and the 10/10 hospitality...they even let us bring our kitty and left some food for her as well...can you get any better than that? Even though only one of us is an ice skater, the fact that the owners utilized the frozen lake for a private ice rink was just downright cool. We will recommend this place to any travelers and hopefully we’ll return at some point, how could we not? 😊

    Harmony2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating hosts. Corey took great care of us and went above and beyond with communicating and catering to our wants. Corey cleaned off my truck when it was snowing, plowed an ice rink for us to skate on, and made the place romantic for me and my girlfriend. Definitely an amazing place to stay at and I would strongly recommend it to anyone searching for a place to stay!

    Trevor2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Corey and his wife Angie were so accommodating and amazing during our stay this weekend. We had such a great time and you barely notice that they live just above the air bnb! We are already hoping we’ll be able to come make another trip and stay again this summer. The air bnb itself is absolutely adorable and super clean! Corey really went above and beyond for us by not only cleaning off our car after it snowed but he also cleared off the ice for us to play on with our 10 month old yellow lab Nellie! She had an absolute blast playing in the snow. I would definitely recommend!!

    Katrina2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Corey was such a great host! He was very quick to respond to my questions. The space was very clean, and updated. They are dog friendly which was great since we were traveling with our dog. They supplied dog bowls, leashes and treated which our dog greatly enjoyed. This stay was one of the best we’ve had.

This is a tiny retreat for one or two guests. There is a fireplace facing the twin day bed. There is a screened in kitchenette. No shower facilities...but ask about availability of other cabins to possibly schedule time for use. This cabin is also a perfect add-on to those who need a little more space for additional guests when renting cabin 1 or 3! Winter rental details: We reduce our rates for the for the winter months because it's a great stay, for those who like winter camping in comfort!
This is a "still in the process" tiny cabin that really feels like a retreat from the world. There is no indoor shower but if you are a hardy soul who enjoys off the grid living... with a little luxury...a bird bath does the job. The "bathroom" is a very clean, cedar outhouse next to the cabin with a stained glass window. This is an experience that is perfect for some...and not for others. Read description thoroughly and ask questions if needed. Adventure and seclusion await! Winter rental details: We reduce our rates for the hide-a-way for the winter months because it's a great stay...but for those who like winter camping in comfort! This cabin heats up beautifully with the fireplace and is so snuggly...but shoveling a little snow and lugging a few armfulls of wood might be part of this woodland experience...oh...but if you are up for it...what an experience!
Jackson is a lovely town right on rt 7 with great access to the Bangor Airport and the beautiful coastal town of Belfast with many treasures to explore from there. Many of our guests are on their way to or from visiting Acadia which is about 1 hour 30 min away. Locally the Jackson/Brooks area has beautiful farms and events associated with those locations. It's not far from the famed Lost Kitchen...book well in advance! A golf course...The Hills to Sea trail...and great local food are all close by with seasonal events happening throughout the year.
  • Perfect cabin for a weekend getaway! Such a cozy and cute place. As soon as we arrived, the cabin was so warm and toasty due to the fire that they had already set up for us! Thank you Jim & Doreen. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Maine! -Darlene & Alex

  • Great little place to stay!

    Amy2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely little cabin, perfect for one or two people. I needed a place to stay for one night while at the Common Ground Fair. The cabin was an easy 20-minute drive from the fairgrounds on country roads. It sits among a cluster of 3 or 4 cabins that share a driveway,so even though I was traveling alone I felt safe with other guests next door. It had been renovated recently so all of the wood inside was brand new ; the twin beds very comfortable; and the cabin was nicely decorated inside too. I didn’t have time to use the wood stove but I imagine that would be nice on a cool evening . There was an electric heater that warmed the cabin quickly. The kitchenette is on a screened porch. So sweet! And if all of that wasn’t enough to delight, the outside (heated) shower had just been installed and I was able to enjoy a warm shower outside in the morning. Such a wonderful experience! Next time, I will stay longer and use it as a jumping off pad to explore the Midcoast. Belfast is an easy 20-minute drive. Really enjoyed my all-too-short stay!

    Heather2019-09-20T00:00:00Z

The "Tree House Room" at Stream Road Farmhouse, located in the bucolic town of Winterport, combines the warmth and charm of an early century home with the ease of modern conveniences; centrally located between Bangor and Belfast. Whether visiting Acadia Nat'l Park, exploring the charms of harbor towns or visiting Stephen King's house (!); you'll get that rural "in the country feeling" while only 10 mi from I-95 and 20 min from Bangor Int'l Airport. *Breakfast incl. & long term stays welcome!
Please note: I have 2 bedrooms available (each under separate listings) - this one is the "Tree House Room" (as it overlooks the park like grounds!), has a queen size bed and can easily accommodate the double size air mattress I have on hand (fairly comfy!) - both are located on the second story and that staircase is extra wide (not the typical New England "steep & narrow"!). The upstairs bathroom will be "private" if a guest isn't booked in the other bedroom (Stream Road Farm House - Oasis Room * which has two twin beds) - feel free to ask, if this is a concern! I've included pictures of the downstairs bathroom which has a great bathtub I'd be happy to share! Also, I have four little dogs (all related) who, although not the yappy type, will bark their greetings - other than that, they're pretty quiet! Smoking is permitted on the outside patio and, in inclement weather, the front enclosed porch may be used (it has windows!).
Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory (the tallest public bridge observatory in the world!) and historic Fort Knox only 15 min. away and the famous Winterport Dragway (fun to watch the races and a great place to walk around!) and access to Maine's Interconnected Trail System both located within a mile from the Farmhouse! For skiers and snowboarders, Mount Hermon Ski Area is approx. 10 miles away.
  • Great place to stay! Very clean! No complaints at all!

Come enjoy our updated apartment in one of the most sought-after Bangor neighborhoods, Little City. Our home is just a short walk to downtown Bangor, the Waterfront Concert Series, and great cafes including Wicked Brew. Orono and the University of Maine are just a 10-15 minute drive away. Sit outside on the front porch and enjoy your morning coffee. 1+ bedrooms (2 queen beds) and 1 bath, makes for a perfect getaway and dogs are welcome!
While this is a 2 bedroom apartment, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the bathroom so best for folks that don't mind sharing space. This apartment has its own private entrance. While we supply a Keurig, mini-fridge, and microwave, there is no kitchen available for guests. We live in the back of the home.
Little City is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Bangor, ME. Meet friends at the new tennis courts, play on the sought-after playground, or just take in the historic homes, we are only a couple of miles from Stephen King's famous home.
  • The house is located in a wonderful neighborhood which is located within walking distance to Hannafords (big grocery store) or to restaurants in Bangor proper. The rooms are spacious and clean. The arrangement is private even though you're within somoeone's home. The owner makes it very easy to enter the home (securely) and provides bottled water, coffee, glasses and utensils. If my son decides to attend UMaine, I will be looking to stay here again.

  • My friends and I needed a place to stay on our way through town, and we were delighted by the clean, comfortable, and simple apartment. The mini fridge and coffee maker were great amenities, as well as the shower things!

Welcome to the Bangor, the gateway to Acadia/Bar Harbor. This 5-star host offers 2 bedrooms in a sparkling home with shared access to bathroom, kitchen, and living space. Park free in my spacious driveway. Neighborhood is quiet and quaint, home away from home. 10 minute walk to waterfront concerts, Shaw's grocery, Stephen King's house, and downtown Bangor. 15 minute walk to Cross Insurance Event Center and Hollywood Casino. 3 miles from the airport where you can take a quick Uber to my home.
When you stay with me, you'll be staying in a clean, quiet, and spacious home. Whether you want to sip coffee on the front porch as the sun goes down or jet in and out for a music festival at the Waterfront, my home is your home for your stay! I've hosted many traveling nurses, flight attendants, U of Maine students, and visitors to Acadia National park and Bar Harbor. The "Blue Room" features a brand new, comfortable queen size bed, a small expandable table, and a spacious closet for your items. The "Green Room" features a brand new, comfortable full size bed, a sitting space, and a large dresser and closet for your items. Both rooms are equipped with ceiling fans but I do not have air conditioning. Lastly, during the Summer, the front porch features a cozy bench and two chairs for enjoying the Summer breeze. I have extra pillows and blankets upon request. Many of my guests have been treated to my delicious banana bread, which I often bake for breakfast. You won't find any TVs on my property which provides for a calmer, quieter stay. That being said, you're welcome to bring your devices with you, I have free WiFi! Sign my guestbook before you leave and see notes from guests around the world.
Quiet, safe, beautiful scenery and architecture all around, very walkable, residential neighborhood. Very close to Stephen King's house, just a short 10 minute walk. Also 10 minute walk from waterfront concerts, grocery stores, and more. 15 minute walk to downtown Bangor, Cross Insurance Event Center, Hollywood Casino and more. Take an Uber for an even shorter ride! Just 3 miles from the airport.
  • I would highly recommend Reda’s place for your next business or pleasure trip to Bangor. The house was perfectly as described, in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close to downtown. The bedrooms were painted in cheerful colors, and the beds the most comfortable of any AirBNB I’ve stayed in. Communication was top notch. There was coffee available in the morning, as well as breakfast pastries & fruit. Looking forward to my next trip to Bangor to stay here again.

  • Dan is a great person. His home is cozy and warm. The twin beds were much more comfortable abd suprising as I expected college form style i was wrong. I also the the property layout. His helpful little cheat sheet of the area is perfect. If you've never been and you like seafood try anglers get the pie its worth it. The chickens were a nice touch and it was absolutely beautiful there. No complaints was a great place to visit.

    Kristen2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Dan is an excellent host! Went above and beyond in accommodations, especially considering the cost! Beautiful cabin on a gorgeous property. The chickens were fun too!

    Jen2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is a cute log cabin in a nicely wooded area. It was close to Bangor and we used it as a central hub to explore Maine. Dan was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was included and it was nice having a vacation so we didn't have to eat out every meal. Enjoyed our stay and the peace and quite of the cabin.

    Melissa2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • A great, quiet place to stay. Dan is a fantastic and an accommodative host. My wife and I enjoyed our stay greatly.

    Thomas2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great value! This little homestead is very remote but closer to Bangor. You can sit on the front porch and feed the chickens. Out just admire the nature.

    Kimberly2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing log cabin with a private garden filled with vegetables, animals and surrounded by woods. A true get a way in the woods of Maine.

    Maddy2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a brilliant time staying with Dan! The log cabin is beautiful, well equipped, cosy, and so, so welcoming. Dan is a true gentleman, very laid back, and so gracious and considerate. The guest experience has been so throughly thought about - everything was labelled for the convenience of the guests, from kitchen cupboards, to light switches, to shelves in the linen closets where fresh, clean towels were provided on a help-yourself basis. The beds were cosy and clean, the living space snug and friendly. The garden is incredable! If you are an animal lover, then there are chickens that roam free, who will run up to you if you shake the jar of cracked corn that lives on the porch. It was a brilliant, brilliant stay! Highly recommended!

    Teresa2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

    Chiara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I've been traveling extensively for months, but my two nights at Nadene's place may have been my best nights' sleep! A comfortable bed, a wonderful host, and an affordable price - great experience, highly recommend!

  • Nadene is the hostess with the mostest!

    Laura2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed here several times and as always everything was perfect.

    Christine2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough positive things about Nadene and her place. This was my best airbnb experience to date. Nadene was quick to respond to messages and provided clear instructions for parking, entering the house, etc. Nadene was friendly and welcoming, and she made my stay feel like home. My room was stylishly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were spotless and both had amenities that made my stay easy and enjoyable. Nadene even provided breakfast each morning: bagels, freshly cut fruit, and coffee -- both hot and iced! Prior to my checkout, Nadene left a travel mug so that I could take my coffee on the road. The rate is super affordable and, given how wonderful Nadene and her place are, it could easily be much higher. I highly recommend Nadene's place!

    Erin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely would stay again. Nadene's place is very clean and homey. She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We appreciated the tea, coffee, and light breakfast since we got up really early to head straight to Acadia. The location is quiet and just a short ride to downtown Bangor and an hour to Acadia.

    Dalia2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nadene is a very friendly host, wanting to go out of her way to help. Very laid back and flexible. The breakfast was definitely a nice touch!

    Angela2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check-in. Nadene is a very good communicator. Was saying for a few nights en-route to hiking Mt. Katahdin so just needed a place to sleep. Nice, clean and cozy room. Cold A/C, good shower pressure, good wifi, and free off-street parking was a plus. Would stay again if in the area.
