Places to stay in Hampshire
My studio cabin is surrounded by hardwood trees, walking trails, and graceful meadows. There are plenty of family-friendly activities nearby including a disc golf course, The Farm Community, antique shopping, Amish markets, and the best BBQ in Tennessee. You’ll love staying in this quiet, peaceful cabin in the woods because of its coziness, high ceilings, natural light, and location. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Pets are welcome with advance notice.
This is an open floor plan. There are no doors or walls between the kitchen, living room, and bedroom areas. There is a twin daybed that can comfortably sleep one adult or child and there is one queen bed. There is a small closet for clothes and a second closet with washer and dryer.
Don't be fooled by the colorful cast of characters you may pass on your way to the cabin. This truly is the Deep South. While they may appear rough and tumble on the outside, I have some of this country's nicest neighbors. Keep an eye out for the flag poles lining a sharp curve in the road, that's Alvin's house. A word of caution, he loves to talk! The road is named for his family and he loves to tell you all about the history of the area. My place is just past his on the left.
  • Gretchen was quick to get back to me whenever I reached out to her. Her home is cozy and very well maintained. We will for sure be back. Thank you so much!

  • This cabin was amazing! A beautiful view, perfectly clean, with everything one could possibly need. The hiking trails within miles of the cabin were beautiful, and the surrounding town was full of very nice people. Will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

  • This is a great secluded little cabin that has anything you could possibly need, the beds are very comfortable, a very cute set up, feels like home away from home with no distractions

    Lorri2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Gretchen’s place was way above what we expected. We were looking for a weekend getaway that we can take the dogs on and the cabin came up as the best value for the space. When we arrive it was better than any expectations. The view was spectacular and we really enjoyed the privacy and quietness of the location. We walked the disc golf trail and the dogs loved the open space. We also checked out the local Amish markets and shops and bought some goodies to bring home. The games and books were a nice touch, we finished a whole puzzle during the weekend we were there. It was a perfect weekend. Thank you for allowing us to bring our furry loved ones with us! We would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone.

  • The pictures don’t even do this cabin justice!! It was absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend staying here!!!!!

    Katelyn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a perfect place to stay for a cold winter weekend. I had hoped to explore outdoors more, but honestly, it was so cozy and comfortable, I really enjoyed just relaxing inside. Everything is clean, the kitchen is well stocked, and the setup feels both simple and luxurious. I would definitely come back!

    Laura2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about Gretchen‘s place. It was super clean, and it had everything you could possibly need. My husband and I especially loved the screened porch, and you can walk right over to a disc golf course. Slept great, too!

    Valerie2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and was a great place to get away for a few days to relax.

The Scenic Heaven right outside of town, quaint little barn apartment with amenities to stay forever. Kitchen to cook breakfast and drink your coffee while watching the deer in the back field. Follow us on Instagram @citybarngetaway
Warm and Cozy getaway, with anything you could need to have a quiet, scenic retreat, but please take into consideration you are booking a BARN, this is not the Hilton and if you do not like the rustic feeling of a barn you may want to consider a Hotel. Full Bed and Air Matress, extra linens in storage for your use. Full Laundry room, available at request or for guest staying 5 days or longer. Privacy of no other patrons on the property. Our family does live on the farm and access the barn but not the living space. Animals allowed, if they get along with other animals and people. Please make sure any animals are on a leash when outside. Heating and Air- everyone keeps asking if there are any heating issues since its winter time. There are none you will be warm and toasty, we even have an electric heater in the bathroom if needed and a wall heater in the open space to cut on in the event you get really chilly. We have tons of parking please always park to the right hand side of the barn. Please do not park in front of the roll up door as that is our access to the barn & we need it quiet frequently. You are welcome to park there to unload but please use the parking to the side.
We are a 16.5 acres family farm located a mile off the main stretch of town. Our town is full of tons of things to do, copy the link to our local food, venues, shopping, etc. https://visitmaury.com/
  • This is a wonderful place for a getaway with quiet beautiful views and lots to do in the area.

  • #1. Safety. I've never felt so safe and secure at an Airbnb. The surrounding property is gated. #2. Brittany always responded within minutes and was very helpful. #3. The bed was amazingly comfortable. The decor was super cute and instead having to be in a hotel for a week, I felt very comfortable coming home from a long day at work and relaxing in what felt like home.

  • Brittany was a great host, even though we didn't get to meet personally, she was very quick to respond back when I needed questions answered. Her property was beautiful, the pictures did not do it justice. I definitely will return, and a added plus was they were pet- friendly.

This is 1 of 3 properties we have for rent on Muletown Farm. A charming, fully equipped cabin built in the early 1800's as a "writer's" cabin. Bathroom, windows, heating/cooling, gas fireplace have recently been updated to make your time here as relaxing as possible. Enjoy breathtaking views of sunset, sip a cup of coffee on a rocking chair front porch or cook up some s’mores around the fire pit. Stroll our 32 acre property or hop in the car for a hike at the nearby Stillhouse Hollow Falls.
Cabin has a full studio apartment on the bottom floor and 1 bedroom upstairs. Two full beds: one on the bottom floor and one upstairs. There is a lazy boy pull out love seat that sleeps an additional person. Full bathroom on first floor. We are located just 55 minutes from downtown Nashville and 40 from historic Franklin.
We live on a 32 acre farm so if privacy is what you want, you will find it here. We have 2 cabins and a ranch farmhouse that we rent to guests.
  • This place is amazing!!! Decorated and furnished perfectly! Very hospitable, and on a picturesque farm! Will definitely return!

If you've ever wanted to stay in a yurt, now is your chance. This is a rustic yet clean & modern space, with one futon bed, a composting toilet, and an outdoor shower. Two hammocks hang on the porch in the breezeway. The space is private with a beautiful garden, and a serene pond with a walking trail around it. Only minutes away from The Farm, known for their natural midwife center. Whether you come to visit friends, family, getaway, or an artist retreat, we welcome you!
There are several places to get some good food with nice atmospheres.
  • Beautiful and cozy. The description doesn’t do it justice. If you need a daily shower maybe not the best for you (not enough hot water) but if you’re only staying a couple nights it’s no matter. Overall a really calm and restorative space.

    Meredith2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed Michelle's yurt! Such a peaceful retreat :)

    Laurel2019-11-04T00:00:00Z

  • Awesome place! 5 stars all around.

    Chris2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great relaxing place to stay! We loved the seating on porch (hammocks & recliner chairs). Loved the inside of yurt...looking up at skylight. We cooked 2 meals while we were there & sat on porch to eat. Very Spacious yurt. Loved hearing the rain on the roof. While you’re there go check out the Farm Store down the road. Neat place. And also the hippie bus & mushroom grain silos. Lots of history in the area. Also visited the Amish community a few miles away. Always love going there. Lots of treasures to be found! Will definitely be back to stay here! Very peaceful out in the country!

    Jill2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at many Airbnb locations, however this place took the prize! If you are looking for peace, open space and a wonderful host, you will find it here. Absolutely glorious!

    Carol2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at the Yurt was amazing. I was needing to take a few days to myself for some relaxation, meditation, and yoga to get centered and the Yurt was the perfect place to do that. The property is beautiful. I loved the hammocks and outdoor shower. Michelle was a very thoughtful and communicative host throughout. If you appreciate nature and need some calm in your life, I'd definitely recommend this place!

  • Our stay at Beverly's was great! If you're looking for a comfortable and easy to find place this is for you!

    Micayla2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Come and stay at Beverly’s adorable cottage. It’s warm and cozy and pleasing to the eyes. The kitchen is good sized with a nice living area and a double in one room and a twin in the other. There is also a very nice, updated bath with shower and a washer/dryer, too. You’ll enjoy Beverly’s hospitality and feel like you’ve known her all your life. I could not recommend this cottage more. Come and enjoy! You’ll be glad you did.

    Marcia2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beverly was amazing! She’s went above and beyond. Here quick responses were so reassuring that we booked the right place! The cottage was clean and cozy, just enough space to enjoy our visit to Mt. Pleasant. We look forward to staying in the near future.

    Melissa2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a fantastic bargain. It was very clean, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The kitchen is a nice size and has everything needed to cook meals. It is the perfect size for 2 or 3 people. Parking was plentiful. Highly recommended!

  • The Cottage is a beautiful home away from home. Close to town. Beverly will be right there to assist you with any need. The perfect place for your vacation or long time stay.

    Kathy2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was WONDERFUL! Beverely was so nice and paid attention to detail, she never left a question unanswered. As far as the cottage itself, it was beautiful both outside and inside! The place was sparkling clean, the mattresses and sheets were soft. My partner and I stayed here and they commented that the place was well put together! It felt very homey and comfortable. Everything was stocked, neatly folded, and easy to find. And there was space in the drawers and cabinets for our things, as well as enough counterspace for us to cook on. It was a wonderful getaway, very peaceful and i would love to stay again!

    Feonix2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is the perfect place to relax for a weekend, and it had everything I could need! It's very easy to find and the perfect spot between Columbia and the vineyards in Hampshire. Beverly is an attentive host that made my trip a easy as could be.

Very quiet and peaceful environment with many nearby parks, shopping and theatre. Not far from the countryside and minutes away from Maury Regional Hospital and downtown Columbia Your privacy and comfort is my main concern. No pets allowed and smoking is prohibited except outdoors. My wife, Dayan, and I do live on the premises. We look forward to making your stay with us a pleasant one
Close to all shopping facilities, restaurants, theatre, and hospital. If you feel like taking a drive through the countryside I’m close by. There are many parks with hiking and walking trails. I’m about 45- 60 minutes away from Nashville
We have many parks, restaurants and fast food facilities. Easy access to shopping and recreation.
  • Douglas and Dayan were the most hospitable hosts we’ve had. My family travels around the country for the work field we are in. Most of our stays for short term are air bnb. Dayan made us homemade dumplings(2 different kinds!), and played board games with my 4 yr old daughter. She even cooked breakfast for us and gave us ice cream and other snacks. Price wise, this has been a blessing for us. You cannot ask for a nicer place to stay. It is in a very quiet neighborhood and about 45 minutes from Nashville. We are most grateful for our stay and will 100% love to stay again if we visit Nashville area again.

    Francis2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy, comfortable, clean house. Me and my friends enjoyed the breakfast with Douglas’s wife. Thank you so much for the convenience. Hope to see you again.

  • This is an amazing Airbnb! 5 stars all the way! Douglas and his wife live in a very nice, safe neighborhood. They are very welcoming, warm, friendly and easy going. We had a great time with them! We enjoyed chatting with them in the evening. The bed is very comfortable. We had wifi and a private bathroom. We would definitely stay here again.

  • This is a very welcoming home and the accommodation are comfortable. If you have the opportunity to spend some time with this family I would highly recommend it. It was a pleasure visiting with them.

  • Douglas and his wife made our stay easy and comfortable. They were great communicators and generous hosts! I'd recommend staying here if you're passing through the Nashville area.

    Greg2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Douglas and his wife was exactly what we were looking for. We have family in the area, so didnt spend a whole lot of time there, but when we were there, they we very warm and welcome, and always making sure we had everything we needed.

    Sherry2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • A very big Thanks to Douglas & his wife for being such an amazing couple. They treated us as their own family guest and offered us coffee, hot chocolate. Awesome place to stay. Lovely host & lovely place.

Off the Grid Small 1 bed 1 bath cabin with cots available for more people. Close drive to antiquing in Hohenwald, Shopping and lunch at The Hippy Commune, (3) local Wineries open daily, The Amish community, and Hiking along the Natchez Trace, Horse Back riding and Meriwether Lewis State Park. There is a lot to do close for the outdoor enthusiast. I am Horse friendly so if you and your horse need a break i have pasture and a stall to keep you as long as you like.
I live on the property and would be happy to assist in anyway I can. This property is off the grid meaning it is solar powered so please conserve electricity. This simply means the property is powered by solar panels and there are a few restrictions such as no microwave (bad for you anyway), no coffee maker (peculator is in the cabin and makes better coffee too), no electric heating (wouldn't you rather have a fire)? A hair dryer will be fine as long as its not used for extensive amounts of time. Lights and fans really dont draw to much power so use them all you need. There is an Air Conditioner but it is hooked to a separate gas powered generator since it draws so much power from the solar system. There is extra gas stored next to the generator. The animals all love a treat and feel free to bring some snacks for them and yourself. There is a full small kitchen with cooking utensils ect. There is also a TV with some local channels to watch a game or the news. WiFi is there but works best on the porch and sometimes intermittent since its not cable internet.
Close drive to the Hippy Commune (The Farm), Amish Community, Antique district, Wineries, horse back riding, swimming and soaking in the Buffalo River and Hiking along the Natchez Trace. Let me know if your interested in doing horse back riding and I will get you in touch with the Mule Ranch in town.
  • Great dog friendly retreat. Would definitely recommend!

  • Truly enjoyed my night at Johns place! It’s private but easy to get to, just a mile or so from Natchez Trace. Amenities were just right for the space , I could have comfortably stayed for a week. Great to sit on the porch and watch the ducks and critters as the sun goes down. Recommend highly and would come again!

    Tara2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place so peaceful! And John was so helpful, the cabin had everything you would need! And so very cute, we will be back for a week in the fall!

    Cathy2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • A cute, comfortable cabin with relaxing and fun views of the working farm. The home is well kept and clean, while still having a rustic, woodsy vibe. John was fast with responses and in offering any help we needed with the home or the area. Easy to locate and convenient to Hohenwald. Highly recommend this home!

    Allison2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • John was a friendly host and his spot is a gem. He greeted us immediately and showed us the lay of the farm and his dog was friendly with mine, also. This is a sweet little cabin- waking up to roosters and cows right outside your window. Also very close to Meriweather Lewis park which was nice for hiking. If it rains when you stay- the porch has a metal roof and is perfect for relaxing. There is no air conditioning in summer but the fans are more than adequate (I actually got chilly a few times). My boyfriend and I plan to be guests again!

Dairy Barn circa 1950 nestled next to a pond on 680-acre Pleasant Valley Farm. The "Dairy Barn" was fully-functioning until the 80s. Although completely renovated, the original ceramic tiles still remain in what was the milking bay, now a cozy den. The aged metal that was once the roof, now adorns a kitchen wall, island & cabinets throughout. Less than 1 hour from Nashville. Perfect for travel nurse & other medical professionals. Oft-visited by artists, songwriters & authors alike.
1 King BR w/en suite bathroom upstairs. 1/2 bath downstairs. Free WiFi. TV in both den & master. DVD player in bedroom. Fully-equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer. Toiletries & hair dryer. Fenced in backyard w/patio. Iron & ironing board.
PVF is a certified "Century Farm" signifying its status as having remained in the same family for over 100 years. Your host is the 8th generation of her family to live on the farm.
  • Spent a weekend here between work weeks in Nashville. The interiors were thoughtfully finished and there was tons of space. Would highly recommend and certainly stay here again.

    Marisol2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This place was absolutely amazing. The views, the history, and the refuge blew us away. Tracy was quick to open up her place to help with tornado relief and we were so thankful to have a safe and clean place to come back too.

  • Pleasant Valley Farm lives up to it’s name. It was such a pleasant, peaceful, relaxing place to stay. Nestled in a beautiful rural valley, you feel like you are a million miles from the hustle and bustle, yet it is only about 5 minutes away from the great town of Columbia. The accommodations were spotless and very tastefully done . Very comfortable and relaxing. We had an absolutely wonderful stay and Tracy was a perfect host. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

  • Beautiful apartment. New appliances. So very cozy! Friendly town. You must be able to climb stairs, it is a loft. I absolutely loved the place. Perfect for my needs.

    Tina2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a stylish place full of lots of thoughtful amenities! The host communicated well and checked in to make sure everything was good and to offer anything else we might need. The town was a pleasant historic place with friendly people, nice shops, and a wonderful museum. Be sure to visit the coffee shop downstairs not only for the great coffee and food, but to ask the very nice owner for her tips of places for local food and entertainment; she was a wealth of insider info that we wouldn't have known about from Trip Adviser or Google. Can't recommend more highly Donna's place to stay or the towns of Mount Pleasant, Columbia, or Franklin to visit.

  • Donna was a great host, answered questions quickly, had an easy checkin and checkout routine, and anticipated guest needs by providing simple things like toiletries, hairdryers, snacks, and Kleenex. The loft was comfortable and immaculate, and it’s location was central to shops and restaurants in quaint Mt. Pleasant. We loved our weekend there and hope to visit again.

A place to Unplug...Welcome to all for personal retreats & gatherings. The chalet overlooks a natural setting, with pond, gardens, meadows, forest & neighboring lake. Guests say it is restful, peaceful, healing, inspirational, & meditative. Enjoy the diversity in plants & wildlife, taste the garden mints, take home a river rock. Near Stillhouse Hollow Falls, Natchez Trace, Amish, The Farm community. Camping, camper/ RV parking OK for your group. Ask about sessions in The Relaxation Station.
The chalet at Swan Center can sleep up to 8. It is a sanctuary, hand-crafted with natural materials, where my extensive library, large sparkling kitchen, jacuzzi tub, writing desk, art and yoga spaces, and herb gardens are. I invite you to experience it and entrust it to you. Swan Center is also 11 acres of nature preserve with no wifi signal, no interference. Only peace. The chalet has a large loft, 5'8" high with floor bed(s) on the sunny side, a single bed and desk for study and writing by the window on the north side, and a cozy room on the ground floor with a new memory foam queen bed and shelves. I use non-toxic cleaning products. Outside a large covered porch overlooks the valley where wind and water have sculpted the landscape over the ages. People love the view! My new tiny house/studio for The Relaxation Station is now open for appointments. It is 100 feet from the main building. It can serve as an overflow for guests, sleeping 2. See "Uplifting Studio Retreat" in the listings for Summertown and ask me about it before booking, as I may need to change someone's appointment to accommodate your needs.
Near historic towns and cities of Mt. Pleasant, Hohenwald, Lawrenceburg and over the hill from the quaint Hampshire, Summertown was known for its healing waters, attracting visitors from as far away as Chicago. Located near Hwy 43, it's about midway between Nashville, Tennessee and Florence, Alabama. We are deep into southern hospitality country, with hundreds of local churches and many historic sites. Summertown sits on the corner of 3 counties, Lawrence, Lewis, and Maury, each with rolling hills, historic sites, waterways, rich farmland, scenic parks, and town centers with museums and antiques. We have brochures at Swan Center for more information about local sights, events, and history. Activities and stuff: *Hiking on site - 11 acres of hill and valley, (walking with mindfulness because nature will not be tamed). Boundaries are fenced and/or posted. * 'Good for you' food is available at The Farm Store, and down Hwy 20 going east and west. Also in the small local cities of Lawrenceburg, Hohenwald, Mt. Pleasant, Columbia, and Waynesboro. * Places to go - Amish farms with food and crafts, Meriwether Lewis State Park, the Buffalo River with canoeing and kayaking, the Natchez Trace Parkway (from Natchez Mississippi to Nashville Tennessee), Stillhouse Hollow Falls, David Crocket State Park, local classes, farmers and artisans, and antique and thrift stores in Lawrenceburg and Hohenwald with local treasures. *Hospitals in Lawrenceburg and Columbia, and a walk-in clinic in Summertown. You'll find amazing scenery and people who've come from far and wide. You just never know who you will meet or what you will find. We are a couple of miles out from the town center. in a rural area with homesteads, farms and a bit of suburbia. New Order Amish are 10+ miles down the road, Old Order Amish farms populate the area north of Lawrenceburg. The Farm community, an ecovillage founded in 1971 with 1,750 acres, is 2 miles away with a little museum/gift shop, a CBD shop, a food store with tie-dyes and books, and tours. Summertown is tiny, with no stop lights, with a post office, bank with ATM, hair salon, a cafe, oddities shop, vehicle repair shop, and gas stations. Neighbors and store owners are helpful and friendly. On Hwy 43 there is a grocery, used items store, Sonic, Subway, tire shop, clinic. Cell phone service is spotty in Summertown due to inadequate signal coverage, but there are spots at Swan Center where you can "get out." There is free internet at Dawn's Family Deli in Summertown.

Perfect place to relax and recharge, walking the property, sitting by the koi pond or relaxing on the huge deck with your favorite book or mug in hand. Very quiet location, but still close to everything you need.

Apple Ridge Farm Guest House is located on a beautiful wedding venue. This is a perfect home for a family, couple or individual to get away to the quiet country landscape. Comfy, cozy and inviting, the guest house is clean and ready for your relaxing vacation, quiet work retreat or quick stop while traveling on the Natchez Trace Parkway.
Apple Ridge Farm guest house is a very private, fully furnished home on our property that includes a wedding venue.
Our country setting is a distance from city life and stores. You will want to pick up groceries and essentials on your way. We recently had a Dollar General open about 5 minutes away. This will have some staple items you may need. Columbia is the closest town and they have many restaurants, shopping and groceries.
  • We loved staying at Shelia’s place! She had absolutely everything we could possibly need and more. We had a great time!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying here. It was very pleasant and serene.

    Sara2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila's place was amazing! The property is very pretty with plenty of space to walk around and sit by the fire. We would love to come back sometime soon.

  • My husband, our two year old daughter and I enjoyed a peaceful and quiet stay at the guest house. It was just the right space and location for a respite of rest, relaxation and restoration. It was more spacious than the pictures led us to anticipate and was clean and decorated cute and simple. We enjoyed having a campfire one night, hiking nearby at Jackson Falls and the Bluff walk, watching two deer graze closely in front of the house and watching the beautiful sunrise one morning from the comfy chairs by the front windows. If you are looking for a place to unplug and rest, this may be just the place for you!

    Christian2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I'm afraid I cant even leave a review that will do this place justice. I booked there for a night while traveling the Natchez Trace Parkway. I ended up extending a night and then ended up extending again. It was so hard to leave. It was the perfect place for some peace and quiet and would love to stay again when I'm back in the area.

    Shelli2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was great. The place was immaculate with beautiful sunrise views. We actually got to see a dear up and close. The place is a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of city.

    Karan2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Sheila's place. It is farther away from Nashville than we anticipated but Columbia and Leiper's Fork have quaint shops and eateries to visit. We spend time with our daughter over Thanksgiving and it's a beautiful property to just relax and enjoy time together!

This house is a part of the picturesque Muletown Farm which was originally established in the 1800’s. It boasts of beautiful sunsets, rolling hills, rustic barns & log cabins. We have 2 cabins & this farmhouse for rent on the property. Pick your favorite or book them all for your group! Sip a cup of coffee on the rocking chair porch, stroll the 32 acre property or unwind by the fire pit. If you are looking for the most private place to stay on the property, this is the one for you.
This 3/2 farmhouse has recently been updated and decorated to give guests a full farm living experience. It has a full kitchen that is stocked with everything you need to cook up a meal for your family. Some of our favorites are the rocking chair front porch which boasts the best views on the property, a tree swing for the kids, a screened in back porch, a deck for grilling out, and your own personal fire pit.
We live on a 32 acre farm so if privacy is what you want, you will find it here. Currently, we have 2 cabins and this home to rent on the same property. If you are looking to bring a group, we can accommodate up to 14 in beds in all 3 spaces, and an additional 2-3 on couches and air mattresses.
  • If you want to enjoy a laid back, true country experience without giving up simple comforts, this is truly a gem. We were moving from Texas to North Carolina and needed a place close to Nashville to rest before our final stretch. Holly was extremely responsive when I reached out about our animal situation and was very accommodating and sweet. The kids loved walking the property which was absolutely breathtaking. I cannot rave about this place more and although we don't plan to move cross country again anytime soon, we will definitely be out to visit Holly's place soon.

Less than 10 minutes from downtown Columbia and 45 minutes from Nashville. The house is a new build, bright and roomy with very comfortable beds! The neighborhood is quiet and upscale, it's not unusual to see deer and wild turkey in the yard. The room is a quiet room secluded upstairs with a flat screen TV and private bath. King size cherry rice bed with a comfortable green tea memory foam mattress with a bamboo topper make for a very restful sleep.
Beautiful new home with vaulted ceilings and lots of windows. The shared areas are spacious and very comfortable. Away from the bustle but close enough to shop if that's your thing or see Nashville. But historic Columbia is our favorite place to be!
We love our neighborhood! It's quiet and super friendly. We are less than 10 minutes from downtown Columbia which is a hidden gem in the Nashville area! The downtown square is so lovely with all mom and pop stores and restaurants and some great antiquing opportunities. The Court house in the center of the square, was built in 1904 and the clock tower bell still rings every hour. Riverside park, just blocks from downtown is a beautiful place to have a picnic or just walk alongside the duck river on paved paths. We're also just 15 minutes from the Natchez Trace! If you love nature, history and hiking, this is a must see. There are also a couple outposts not too far away where you can canoe or kayak on the duck river. There is definitely lots to do and see in the area.
  • Lovely people. Nice space. The bed is super comfy! Great amenities. Motion detector nightlight in the bathroom is a great touch

Pick your favorite or book them all for you & your friends! This cabin was built in the mid 1900's as a clinic for the doctor who owned the property at the time. It's been recently updated to host guests. Sip a cup of coffee on the rocking chair front porch, stroll the 32 acre property or relax by the fire pit.
This cabin is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with a full kitchen and a living room. Approximately 650 sq. feet with an incredible rocking chair and swing front porch. The “couch” is a daybed with a nice pullout trundle. The space sleeps 4 total (see pics).

    Debby2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Farm was wonderful - Cozy, comfy, a home away from home. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with Holly, along with meeting and being greeted by Dixie, Holly’s horse. My husband and I had booked a one night stay at the farm, but after settling into Cabin #2, realizing a one day trip to the local area simply wasn’t enough time to see and do all the things we wanted to do, we decided to extend our stay for a second night. Reached out to Holly who was most accommodating. She graciously responded, approving our request. The Farm is a great place to relax when visiting the area. Would definitely recommend to others who may be planning a trip to the area.

Two twin beds are in this bedroom, along with a nightstand, and dresser that contains extra blankets.

This small, private guest house is located on The Farm in Summertown, Tennessee, and is built from a recycled shipping container. The Farm is one of the oldest intentional communities in the country, please look up The Farm in Summertown for more info before visiting. Guest home features a bedroom with a twin bed, full bath & kitchenette. These cozy accommodations comfortably sleep one, but can sleep two. The home is a short walk to the store and disc golf course.
This home is unique because of where it is located, an intentional community on 3 square miles of nature preserve and hiking trails. Hippies in school buses first came here to form a commune in the 1970’s and the land is now shared by families and friends committed to caring for it. The community features many businesses and homes, and while the residences and business are mostly privately owned, members of this community commit to cooperative living and non-violence. No firearms, hunting or fishing on the property, please. Organic vegetarian and vegan food options available at our local grocery spot, The Farm Store, just down the road.
Our neighborhood is located in one of the apple orchards, on the intentional community called The Farm. The home is a guest house outside our main residence, and is located close to the Welcome Center by the gate. It is a walk away from the disc golf course, campgrounds, and the gate pond. The Farm Store, the dome, the swimming hole, sauna, and many activities are only a bike ride, car ride, long stroll, or golf cart trip away.
  • I booked this place for my father who was without power for a few days. He had a wonderful stay and Heather was an exceptional host and quick to respond. Overall a fantastic stay in a fabulous community, The Farm.

  • This was a fun, last minute find for a motorcycle trip on the Natchez Trace. Worth a return trip to learn more about this special place.

  • I've you'd like to be cared for and stay in a beautiful area, experience this place. The host was crazy accomadating for my husband's birthday surprise--stay. She happened to set out books for him by author's he loves. It was serendipitous. He came back refreshed and spoke highly of the entire experience. Thank you Heather, you're wonderful.

  • What a lovely place with such lovely people. Arriving through the gate, the farm has an energy that is unforgettable and comforting to the soul. Upon arrival to the cute, quant, shipping container home, you will be welcomed by the most personable chickens out there. They will no doubt become your best friends by the end of your stay and you will learn quick who are the real guardians of these lands. Heather and Floyd are beyond welcoming and their hospitality is that of the tinder parents they are. There was never a moment that we felt anything but at peace with the surroundings. Defiantly recommend anyone to see for themselves what this beautiful community and these kind people have to offer

    Melanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I wish I could give Cindy 10 stars for communication - she is a CHAMP. Our visit to town was for the birth of a baby, always unpredictable, but when our dates changed unexpectedly she was accommodating and friendly about working with us. Her responses were very quick and helpful. The space itself was bright, even on a grey day, and extremely welcoming. My only caution is that the main bed is very soft - a pro if you love soft mattresses, but a potential issue if you need a firmer sleep surface. I absolutely recommend this home and will stay again if we are ever in the area!

Ideal for retreat into serenity and comfort, this studio is often used as my healing space for clients, aka The Relaxation Station at Swan Center. It overlooks the top of the Swan Creek valley, with a small lake in the distance. The 11 acres of wooded and meadow land is abundant with wildlife and plants, organic by virtue of being stewarded for years with no chemical use, and you are free to walk about. Leave most of your belongings in your car parked right outside, enjoy the inside space.
You have your own sitting areas outside in the front and on an adjacent covered deck overlooking the valley and 10+ acres to walk plus road frontage. The chalet, listed as Uplifting Retreats at Swan Center on Airbnb, is about 100 feet away. Guests can sit by a small rock lined fish pond on the far side of the chalet, pick from gardens with varieties of mints and herbs and walk the land.
Near the small unincorporated town, Summertown and close to (8-12 miles) Amish country, Meriwether Lewis State Park and the Natchez Trace, Sillhouse Hollow Falls, the Buffalo River, Davy Crockett State Park and lake, historic Hohenwald, Ethridge, and Mt. Pleasant. We are 4 miles from The Farm intentional community which has Market Days every 3rd Saturday, usually. .

    Jennifer2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about Cindy’s place exceeded our expectations. We stayed for two nights during my nephew’s wedding weekend and eight adults were housed comfortably. We particularly enjoyed having two living areas where a group could watch tv while another group visited. Sparkling clean; incredibly comfortable beds; coffee, snacks, and drinks in the ‘frigs; timely communication; cozy interior. We loved it and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for clean and quiet accommodations in Columbia.

    Terri2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Brambleberry was perfect for my married children and young grandchildren to stay in while visiting family in Columbia for a few days. Reviews are "right on"...every room was cute, clean, and comfortable. Cindy is very accommodating and check-in is easy with keypad. The ample parking and convenient location were much appreciated. Hope to return!

  • Cindy’s place was a nice house with a quiet neighborhood. Lovely accommodations, would definitely recommend!!

    Alyssa2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My family (4 children) absolutely loved staying at Cindy’s home! We thoroughly loved the swing in the yard and playing with the frisbee and Uno cards she left for us. Cindy’s house is full of charm and character from yesteryear, and my children were so excited to see the fridge with ice box and even the old medicine cabinet in the bathroom with razor slots. Staying at Cindy’s home was like visiting my grandmother’s home, complete with the feeling of coziness and welcome. We were in town for a family wedding at the Antrim, and we were only 10 minutes away from the spectacular venue. The home is adorable, clean, inviting, and close to I-65. Cindy even made us welcome with a personal message spelled out on a Scrabble board...my children were so surprised! The space is perfect for many guests and each room is private. No one will feel on top of another guest, and there are two spacious rooms for gathering. Two kitchens also make for space for a crowd. Anyone with several children and adults would do very well at Cindy’s home! We just wish we could have stayed longer!

I recently purchased my 1950's cottage from the original owner. It is located in the hip Riverside District, although my home is closer to hwy 31 it is not even a five minute drive from Columbia Square and all it has to offer, breweries, restaurant's, Marcy Jo's Muletown , specialty shops and antique stores...it's also close to Riverside Park on the Duck River with walking trails, Pavilions, splash pad, outside gym, This cottage is super cute and comfy. The neighborhood is very quiet...
Disclosure: although the previous owners changed out some of the two prong outlet's to three prong the house is not grounded due to being built in 1950. I have a surge protector if you need it for your computer.
My house is near The Columbia Square, grocery stores, etc. About 45 minutes to Nashville. Marcy Jo's a local favorite has just opened a new location in the square area. Puckett's has great food and music...a true hip, up and coming area. Columbia was voted one of the South's best small town's by Southern Living...This town is hustling and bustling with music, breweries and all things hip. If you have a special occasion and would like me to decorate, etc, we can discuss what you want and the fee. if you would like to call in a pre paid grocery order at Kroeger, 845 Nashville Hwy, Columbia, TN 38401, (931) 381-0263 I will pick up and put away for a $15.00 fee, payable via venmo.
  • Adorable, clean, great location to explore Columbia! Bottle of wine and blueberry muffins and lots of other snacks! Thanks for your hospitality!!!!

Newly renovated secluded country cottage in the woods. Just driving in through the scenic rural country roads is an added treat with endless pastures, farms and corn fields . You may spot wild turkey any time and deer (usually at dawn or at dusk) among the hilly winding roads as you approach the cottage.
This retreat offers the tranquility and the simple life with all the amenities of the modern world (except cell service, texting usually does work with wifi) Central air conditioner and heat, (wood burning fireplace will be ready for the fall/winter season) Satellite TV, Satellite WIFI and a land phoneline do connect you to the outside if you should desire, but, why would you? Two bedrooms upstairs with comfy queen mattresses and plenty of pillows and a full bathroom upstairs, the fully equipped kitchen and dining room are upstairs also as well as one of the decks. Downstairs is a master bedroom suite with king bed and a full private bathroom as well as a family/TV room with game table. The utility room with full washer and dryer are downstairs also.
There are many natural and historic attractions within a 5mile radius of the cottage, including the Meriwether Lewis burial ground and numerous campground and hiking trails in the pristine Natchez Trace Parkway National Park. There is also canoeing and kayaking outfitters in the area as well as horse back riding. For a unique experience visit Lawrenceburg and the Amish Colony there, you will be driven on a horse drawn carriage thru their centuries old farms and will have the opportunity to go in some of their homes and of course buy their crafts and foods. The closest town, Hohenwald, is about a 12minute car ride, there you will find a Walmart that’s open 24 hours as well as many local restaurants and diners. Our favorites are The Junkyard Dog for American comfort food, (no beer or liquor served here). If you need a drink, across the street is The Lewis and Clark Restaurant and Bar. Our favorite Mexican restaurant is Casa Grande which is nest to a “Dollar Tree” store near Walmart. (Tasty food and great Margaritas by the glass or pitcher) There are also McDonalds, Taco Bell, Hardees, Sonic, Pizza Hut and others in that area. Remember most of them close around 9PM and some close on Sundays. There is an elephant sanctuary in the area with a “store front” visitor center on Main Street as well as a local museum and a town Visitor Center. For an added treat visit the three local wineries in the area. They offer daily tastings and special seasonal weekend events and actually produce some impressive wines.
  • We richly enjoyed our visit there. I would gladly stay there again!

    Jeff2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a quiet and comfortable stay at Alvarina's country retreat. We loved the wooded setting of the cottage and the views from the kitchen!

    Tara2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. The location was superb, almost at the end of a dead end road and very private and quiet. We were able to enjoy the sights and and sounds of nature especially on the back deck which is surrounded by trees. The cottage was very clean and had all of the supplies we needed. We highly recommend staying here!

    Sheryl2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in a really nice secluded area. Near Buffalo River. I would definitely recommend going to the Elephant Sanctuary center in Hohenwald and going to the Meriwether Lewis NPS site right next to the cottage. Natchez Trace parkway is a delightful drive that you can take down to Florence, AL. The cottage itself is clean and spacious. Two great decks off the back offer nice outdoor privacy.

    James2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alva's cottage is cute, quant and quiet...the perfect place to relax and get in some quality time with family. It is located right off the road with a beautiful view off the back into a sea of trees. And across the way at night we caught a show of lightning bugs that our 2 year old just loved. The amenities were great and the rooms were comfortable. The stairs are pretty steep and their placement creates a couple low points, so watch your heads. With just about a 15-20 minute drive you can be at some local delicious restaurants, Natchez Trace, fast food and Walmart. The area is beautiful, so sit back, relax and take it all in.

The Cottage at Noteworthy Farm is a great place to kick back and relax for a charming stay in the country.
The cottage possesses an alluring charm with vintage touches throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, dishes, pots, and pans. We provide linens and towels. Above the kitchen is a sleeping loft with twin mattresses. The kids would love a great night of adventure sleeping. The bedroom has two beds, a double and a queen. Imagine some quiet time sitting on the deck sipping wine from one of our three local wineries, or maybe it's lemonade or sweet tea that you prefer. The deck overlooks a 2 acre spring fed pond that is stocked with fish for your catch and release enjoyment. Grab a pole, wet a line, we don't mind!!
Hampshire is a quiet and friendly community. There are several churches in Hampshire to visit. We also have 3 wineries within a 10 mile radius: Keg Springs Winery, Amber Falls Winery, and Natchez Hills Vineyard. Down the road from the property is a great shop called "Copperhead Creek Studio", which is owned by our friends Montie and Renee Couch. Also, the Natchez Trace is only about 7 miles up the road. The Natchez Trace has some great hiking/biking trails. Columbia is a sweet town about 20 minutes away. It is known as the Mule Capital of the world. It has many grocery stores, shops, boutiques, etc . It has a wonderful downtown area. Some of our favorite spots/restaurants/shops in Columbia that we like to visit are: -Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant -Southern Tre Steakhouse -Oak and Lace -Lily Jane -Muletown Roasted Coffee -Variety Records -Pie Sensations -Southern Exposure -Buckhead Coffee House -Ted's Sporting Goods -Bleu 32 Antiques -Ye Peddler -The Faded Farmhouse -and many more…. About 25 minutes from the cottage is a large Amish community in Ethridge. You can go to the Amish Visitors Center and take a wagon tour of Amish country, or get a map and go by yourself. The Amish sell just about anything you can think of, from farm fresh eggs to hand made furniture. (at a much better price than any retail store!) We are just a little more than an hour from Music City USA, Nashville, Tennessee.
  • The cottage is a delightful and peaceful getaway. We could not ask for a better place to relax.

  • We loved spending a weekend in the adorable cottage. We ate our breakfast outside listening to the flowing water and looking at the beautiful scenery! After a day of tasting wine at local wineries, we celebrated a birthday and played a game at the table! We will be telling our friends and family to stay here for a weekend getaway!

  • The Cottage At Noteworthy is a very special place! If you are looking for country comfort, beauty and a peaceful setting ... this is the place for you! Marsha, the host, is ready to make your stay unforgettable!

  • My family and I drove up from Miami, FL to visit my father. The moment we arrived. The lights outside were on, the door was unlocked as Marsha stated. As we walked in,the immediate comforting sweet smell of aromatherapy was inviting. Marsha had muffins and cinnamon buns on the counter for us. Along with crackers and chocolate kisses which I found to be incredibly sweet of her. We immediately felt welcomed and at home. We are a family of 4 and we were more than comfortable. The beds and pillows were impressively comfortable. Our two children slept in the room with my husband and I which to be honest felt really nice to have them so close. They enjoyed it. There was everything we needed to cook and clean. More than enough towels. We spent a few nights playing games which was so special. My husband really enjoyed going out in the morning as we were all sleeping and just listening to the stillness of nature. Something you definitely don’t get in the city. Although we were on their land we felt complete privacy and never once felt imposed on. We were able to come and go as we pleased which felt nice. I would definitely recommend this cottage. It was clean. Comfortable and so unique. Thank you Marsha and Wynn for such a pleasant stay.

This jaw dropping, 2nd floor walk-up apartment is located above a bicycle shop on the Columbia Town Square in a historic brick building that dates back to 1857. Only 45 min. south of Nashville, the loft features high ceilings, exposed brick, unique architecture and plenty of historic charm and is definitely worth the drive. Get out of the city and enjoy small town, Main Street America at it’s very finest... local restaurants, shopping, craft brews, art and history and a good live music scene.
The loft’s best feature may be the 13 ft windows that over look the square and the gorgeous 1905 courthouse, from which you can hear the clock in the tower on top of it chime every hour... Talk about WOW factor! Measuring 1100 luxurious square feet, this loft has recently undergone a dramatic restoration by none other than Mike Wolfe of American Pickers. Featuring a playful mix of Wild West and Americana furnishings and decor, you can feast your eyes on unique, one of a kind pieces - many of which Mike has pulled out of barns and sheds across America. This is the first time that fans of American Pickers will get to see picks from the show presented as decor! Enjoy the collection of vintage denim and handprinted leather motorcycle jackets, 130 year old bicycles hanging from the ceiling, vintage signs and even a mint green 1951 Vespa! Hop on and pose for a Instagrammable worthy moment and share with your friends and family! Walk out the door and you’ll discover an original downtown with a vibrant Main Street, bordered by the Duck River. • Amazing space in a fantastic small town! Interesting variety of antiques spread around the space and the view of the courthouse at night was great. Every amenity you could need. Take the stairs described in the listing seriously... they are challenging.

  • Great space with an amazing view of the picturesque downtown Columbia.

  • Beautiful space, easily accessible, close to everything. Quick responses with any questions or requests we had. Memorable place to stay! We could walk to eat at any downtown restaurant but we’re happy ordering pizza and watching the game inside in such a nice place.

Leave your white noise machine behind when you escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax in the tranquility of the country here at The Cottage at Armsdale Farm. Here you will delight in the scenic views of the rolling hills of middle Tennessee. Enjoy the fresh country air while you walk the farm, explore the barns and gaze at our herd of Belted Galloway cattle.
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath 1225 sq. ft. cottage has everything you need. The master boasts a wonderful queen brass bed. (There is a hair dryer and sewing kit in the master bathroom so you don't need to bring yours!) The other two bedrooms have twin beds. Sleeping six, the cottage is complete with a family room appointed with turn of the century wicker, a furnished kitchen (dishes, pots & pans, blender, microwave, bake ware, mixer, crock pot, Mr. Coffee coffeemaker, toaster, toaster oven, etc.) dining area and laundry room. The laundry room is complete with washer and dryer, iron and ironing board. A screened in back porch with gas grill draws you into the great outdoors. All bedrooms, den and back porch have ceiling fans. For those who must have white noise to sleep, we have an oscillating fan in one bedroom and the other two have a "Sleep Mate" sleep machine that produces white noise. There is even a gas fireplace in the den! Located 40 miles south of Nashville, there are many sights, golf courses, parks, rivers, and many things to do around the immediate area. We are about 15 miles from the Natchez Trace and near several area wineries-Amber Falls Winery, Keg Springs, and Natchez Hills. In nearby Columbia are restaurants and beautiful, historic homes such as the James K. Polk home. On the square (we are the county seat) are charming shops and restaurants-like the Duck River Books, Muletown Roasted Coffee, Variety Record Shop (with old & new vinyl!), Puckett's Grocery, Square Market & Cafe, Southern Tre and others. Be sure to check out famous Ted's Sporting Goods as well. For those looking for a place to get still, quiet, and shed the stress of life, then Armsdale Farm is a perfect place. We do not have cable television by choice but do have wi-fi as well as a smart TV and DVD player. So feel free to bring your CDs, DVDs and Netflix password! Your time here will be a reminder of the peace and quiet of rural life. The owner of this 200+ year old family farm, Bobby McIver, is a PGA pro (former GOLF Magazine Top 100 teacher). He is available for golf lessons on the farm or at a nearby course!!! His book "The Heart of the Game-A Coaches Journey" is now available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Autographed copies are available from the author! Note: This property is perfect for a girls weekend, a family coming into town for a wedding or graduation, a small group retreat or just a couples getaway!! The house is ideal for companies looking for short term housing for employees. In addition, an outdoor stage has recently been built on the farm. This venue is available for weddings, concerts, family reunions and parties! The cottage can also be rented as part of the venue (to be used by the wedding party or the "green room" for the performers!) Please contact owner for more details. Note: There are smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, flashlight in master bedroom, fire extinguisher and first aid kit under the kitchen sink. In addition, there is a hair dryer and sewing kit under the master bathroom sink.
Although we are in the country, "civilization" is near! We are only 7 miles from the courthouse square (with plenty to do and see) and less than that to the grocery store.
  • Nice place with a lot of charm. Ruth goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. We appreciate her allowing us to stay.

  • This was my 1st Airbnb experience and it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay. The cottage had that country charm I was looking for and was clean, neat had everything we needed. The farm is amazing, far enough from everything, yet close enough to anything. I was fascinated with my new friends, the cows, lol. I also must say that our host, Ruth was fantastic, it’s so nice to meet nice people. Definitely a revisit in the near future! 👍 😊

  • Such an amazing location and site!! Sweet sweet hosts and such a wonderful experience. Definitely check this location out.

    Jamie2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Mrs. Ruth was a wonderful hostess! She communicated with me quickly and regularly to make sure the accommodations would meet our needs. She went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our stay at her beautiful cottage perfect! The cottage was very nice and the farm view surrounding the cottage was gorgeous! The cottage was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to be comfortable. Mrs. Ruth even left us a fresh homemade loaf of bread and some snacks. We felt like we were at home. The private location is conveniently located just minutes from town. I definitely reccomend this cottage. My family and I plan to visit again soon.

Less than 10 minutes from downtown Columbia and 45 minutes from Nashville. The house is a new build, bright and roomy with very comfortable beds and soft cotton sheets! The neighborhood is quiet and upscale, it's not unusual to see deer and wild turkey in the yard.
Beautiful new home with vaulted ceilings and lots of windows. The shared areas are spacious and very comfortable. Away from the bustle but close enough to shop if that's your thing or see Nashville. But historic Columbia is our favorite place to be!
The neighborhood is quiet and super friendly.
  • Very nice house and private room/bathroom. Offered a free stay to distaste relief volunteers

  • DeMarcy's place is convenient, affordable and cozy. We stayed for the weekend (me, my wife and our 8 month old baby) and it was a great experience. They even set up a pack and play for our baby to sleep in it. Thank you guys!

    Rubi2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice home in quiet suburban environment. Friendly hosts with good coffee in the morning. Convenient to Columbia, a suburb of Nashville, TN. And bonus, deer wandering through the back yard at night.

    Henry2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean room, great hospitality, and the cutest welcome crew (their adorable pup Rosie)

  • Greatly enjoyed my stay at DeMarcy and Robert’s. Both were a pleasure to talk to. They made me feel welcome, but certainly gave me privacy. The room itself is very modern and very clean. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed during my visit. I would certainly recommend them and plan on using their room again should I be in the area.
