  • Great location for exploring lots of interesting places... Longleat, Bath, Salisbury for instance. We loved the nice surprise touch of sausages, bacon & eggs waiting for us. Lovely cosy cottage, the perfect location for a romantic break away. Loved relaxing in the hot tub hearing the birds chirping away. Even had a bottle of prosecco waiting in the fridge for us. Great hosts, nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend this little gem and would love to visit again one day.

The wagon in the woods is cosy, bespoke and self-contained. Ideal for those who want an escape to the countryside. Features include a hot tub, double bed, settee, table, bath, toilet, basin, heating, cooker, fridge, beautiful views , covered outdoor seating area and camp fire with BBQ grill. Check in and out times are minimum if we can we will let you arrive earlier/ leave later.
The huge window floods the space with light. The bath is revealed by lifting a trap door in the floor at the base of the window, you can relax in a bath and watch the cows pass by. You have the seclusion of being in the woods but have an internal flushing toilet, hot water etc. The hot tub is situated next to the wagon fitted into a huge barrel. The hot tub heats up very quickly and runs all year. The main beam, and tables have been built from trees that came down in a storm a few years ago. We provide free bubblebath, wagon wheels, marshmallows and fire wood for a camp fire.
From the decking you can see the Hattingley Valley vineyard through the trees. The watercress train line runs along the valley.
  • Couldn’t recommend the wagon more. Beautiful location, cosy and amazing hot tub.

    Amber2020-03-07T00:00:00Z

Please see below for Covid-19 measures Self-contained shepherds hut in the heart of the New Forest National Park. The perfect glamping experience for lovers of the outdoors who prefer some warm home comforts. Fully insulated and heated. South facing with stunning views, surrounded by wildlife and the New Forest on the doorstep. Self Check in. Great pub, award winning farm shop and 2 cafes all walkable. Quick and easy access to explore the many villages, towns, cities and beaches nearby.
    * In light of the Covid 19 health emergency, I’d like to reassure my guests that I have a very high standard of cleanliness and I clean and disinfect all surfaces, the bathroom and kitchen including the cupboard handles, window furniture, door handles, light switches, soap dispenser, washing up liquid bottle, tv remote control, the door key, etc. The bedding and towels are washed at 60 degrees and for now I have removed the scatter cushions and blanket on the bed unless I can wash and dry them ready for my next guests. Our local pub is offering a take away service and the local farm shop which is an easy 1/2 mile walk away is open allowing one person in at a time. We are positioned in the middle of the countryside where you don’t have to come into contact with anybody else if you don’t wish to. You have more chance of meeting a wild pony! It’s self check in so you don’t even have to have any contact with me! I have also set our booking calendar to allow for the hut to be empty for 24 hours between guests rather than guests leaving and arriving on the same day. *Length of stay discounts automatically apply to stays of 3 nights or more and increases the more nights that are booked with 15% off weekly bookings (7 nights). * Late booking discounts. *No extra cleaning fee charged. Situated on the north/west side of the New Forest National Park, a very short drive from the historic market towns of Fordingbridge and Ringwood, ‘Maurietty’ offers an idyllic place to relax and unwind. Located away from roads and a short way along a forest track, it is set on the edge of our 3 ½ acre grounds approximately 100 metres from our house (which is out of view). Stunning south facing views across our paddocks and countryside beyond. However you are not isolated here - there is quick and easy access to all main roads for visitors to explore the many villages, towns, cities and beaches that Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire have to offer (if you can tear yourself away from your little retreat!). There is a footpath at the back of our house which goes along the edge of our paddocks which is the best route to take to Hockeys Farm Shop and cafe, and The Royal Oak Pub is a 20 minute walk away (left out of our gates to bottom of track and turn right). There is another café 'The Potting Shed' in Hyde which is approx. a 15/20 minute walk across the common (left out of our gates, up track a short way and take first right at 'Gorley Firs' which will take you up onto the common). This shepherd's hut offers character and comfort in spades. The little bijou beauty is like a tardis offering a warm and cosy retreat. Inside the fully insulated bespoke hut you'll find all the comforts you would expect from luxury self-catering accommodation. A bathroom with 800x800 shower, wc, wash basin and electric ladder radiator. A kitchenette with belfast sink, microwave, cafetiere, kettle, toaster, electric cooking/frying pan, small chiller fridge, all cutlery and crockery and electric radiator. The 4'6" double bed is built in across one end of the hut with storage underneath, a window and tv with built in freesat and dvd player for those british rainy days when you might want to tuck up and get cosy and watch a film. South facing double french doors flood the hut with sunshine on brighter days and provide a beautiful view out across open fields. Outside there is a designated parking space right next to the hut and an outdoor seating area looking out at the view. Access to the property is via an electric gated entrance for which you will be provided with a code. The site once formed part of Ibsley RAF base during World War II. The block of stables that you look out onto is the old latrine block and a couple of Stanton air raid shelters are in the paddock. Literally to the rear of the hut is the open New Forest. Horse riders frequently go by as well as wildlife such as the New Forest ponies, cattle, donkeys, deer, foxes, badgers and an abundance of birds such as buzzards which are often seen circling above the trees during the summer months. Award- winning farm shop and cafe that also offers bike hire 0.5 mile (follow the footpath that starts at the back corner of our property), horse riding 1 mile, watersports and fishing lakes 2 miles, thatched pub with restaurant 1 mile (15/20 minute walk). Ringwood (with a Waitrose, Lidl and Sainsbury's) 5 miles and Fordingbridge (with a Co-op and Tesco Express) 2.5 miles. ****If the dates you would like to book won't fit into the booking calendar then please send me a booking request and I will try to accommodate you. ****Unfortunately we don’t allow dogs in the hut. ****Please have a look through the ‘house rules’ and it’s important you follow my directions to find us easily. ****Please note that WiFi can be unreliable due to our countryside location despite the area recently having fibre optic broadband installed! It’s something we’ve learnt to live with. We can always pick up 3G or 4G.
The New Forest is a former royal hunting ground in the south of England. It was created in 1079 by William I. Nearly 1000 years later the ancient landscape remains almost unchanged and in March 2005 was designated the 8th National Park in England.

Wig wam with hot tub and a cosy wagon. lovingly crafted to create a truly unique and relaxing space. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from the Wagon with star lounge, from the hot tub or when relaxing next to the fire.
Some people paint, some sing but this is my creative canvas! With no time scale or budget the aim was to build something awesome! With an upstairs star lounge you can relax and watch the world go by whilst the vinyl spins. The sunken hot tub with jets and underwater lights is heated by a log burner, watch the flames flicker as you relax. Keep the TP closed up and cosy or throw the door wide to let the outside in. The TP toilet with wine corks on the walls (not all ours-Honest!) and saloon doors. Enjoy a camp fire and BBQ whilst soaking up the view over the fields. Dine at the table made out of a tree infront of the huge window. A double shower so you don't ever have to be apart!
  • The wagon is so incredibly impressive, all the little touches make it all the more memorable. And it’s true what they all say, it’s even more amazing in real life, even better than the photos! An absolutely amazing weekend away. A few tips are: it’s very remote so definately a good idea to have a car, bring food and drink supplies and there’s no hairdryer.

    Cynthia2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • A little slice of heaven in the idyllic English countryside - we stayed there a week and cannot wait to return! Unique, charming, a true one off find. Feel very lucky to have found this place :)

  • It’s exceeded expectations, the place was absolutely incredible and the quirky details totally made it. Its the perfect romantic getaway!

  • We had an amazing stay at Ralph’s place. The wagon and wigwam are incredible and perfect for the ultimate relaxing break! The wagon was lovely and cosy despite it blowing a gale outside & the small touches around the place including the wagon wheels and marshmallows made the stay even better. Thanks!

    Hannah2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place look incredible on the internet but it is sooo much better in real life, so secluded and divine.

    Lucy2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to stay! I took my hubby there for his birthday, we both enjoyed the experience! Peaceful, tranquil and just what we needed! Love all the little touches, and will diffidently be returning!

    Rachael2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at the wagon and the wigwam was unforgettable. Even more impressive in real life, it was absolute bliss. Ralph and lucy have gone above and beyond to create a cosy and unique place with so much attention to detail, we enjoyed marshmallows on the fire, hot chocolate for breakfast and cooked pizzas in the oven. We spent the evening in the hot tub which had a beautiful log burner and felt more like a spa experience. Would definitely return and hopefully explore more of the properties ralph has to offer.

    Kaffs2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very adorable little cabin. Can get a little cold but plenty of blankets are available, a little fire (which was lit for us as we arrived) and a heated blanket in the bed, meant this wasn’t an issue. Beautiful scenery and not too far from nearest town.

    Andrew2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log cabin , lovely and warm with the log fire . The hot tub is a fab location with lovely views over fields and sheltered from the winds . Remember a dressing gown in colder weather to get from cabin to tub . Highly recommend. Thanks Sophie

    Belinda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a 2 night stay at the Bothy to celebrate my husband's birthday. The place was perfect for our short break. The weather wasn't great (wet and windy) but the cottage was cosy, warm and welcoming. We already had a wood turning experience booked locally so had planned for the winter weather, but in the better weather you'd be spoilt for things to do locally. We ate out at The Red Lion, within walking distance one night. Fab food and would also highly recommend. Loved the welcoming touches of bread, milk, orange juice, croissants and the infamous chocolate muffins.

    Alison2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This retreat was just what we needed a perfect little get away with multiple touches from Chrissy. Would love to come back and stay again. Thank you for making it so special. Couldn’t recommend enough.

  • We have been looking for a nice airbnb within walking distance of both countryside and pubs, without traffic noise and close to a list of interesting things to do, and Emily's place delivers on all of these 100%. Clean, wholesome, cosy, quiet, with everything you might need for a few days in the New Forest. The wifi was great and the bed and sofa comfortable, the kitchen worked really well and the space is bigger than it looks in the photos. Having a smart TV was an added bonus for darker spring evenings. The view pictured is less than a minute's walk through trees opposite, and is absolutely stunning. There are also hiking and cycling trails accessible directly from the property. Situated about a mile down a track, you are right in the woodland, but with very quick access to the village of Burley. Emily and her family were on hand and incredibly friendly and helpful, but the space also felt private and an independent unit. With the heathland, the forest, the coast, some interesting cities and the Isle of Wight all within an easy drive, we wished we have been there for a week rather than a couple of nights and hope to be back as soon as possible.

  • Cosy, cute and comfortable. A beautiful place for a forest getaway.

    Christopher2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was amazing! Emily was a great host and added thoughtful touches - the location was perfect! Our Tibetan terrier loved his time there also! Thanks ever so much.

  • We had a lovely relaxing stay, with everything we needed. We loved the little touches like hot water bottles and torches and would love to come back one day to experience it in the summer.

A stylish converted barn set in the grounds of a Georgian Lodge within the South Downs National Park. Conveniently located close to the picturesque market towns of Alresford, Petersfield, Alton and historic Winchester, it is an ideal base to both explore Hampshire and kick back and relax in luxury.
Rustic luxury is the barn’s style; whitewashed timber walls, heated oak floors, industrial iron Nkuku lighting and furniture sit comfortably alongside crisp White Company linen, feather duvets and generous sized pillows. Relax and restore after an action packed day with Neal’s Yard toiletries and fluffy towels. Comfort is key. Ideal for couples, friends and solo travellers alike with the option of a super king or twin beds. A Nespresso coffee machine, toaster, kettle and fridge are all on hand. A complimentary breakfast of granola, yogurt, fruit, fresh bread and jam is on offer or a more substantial breakfast hamper is available at an additional cost on advance request. The Barn is equipped with the usual mod cons with TV, Chrome Cast, WIFI and Sonos Music System. There are Sweeping views from the bedroom french doors up the field where the majestic Redwood Tree and often Pheasants, Hare and Roe deer can be seen. You are free to explore North Lodge’s paddock to visit North Lodge’s chickens and there is a footpath off the property over fields from which you can walk to the famous “Pub with no Name” in just under an hour.
Petersfield, Alresford, Winchester & Alton all nearby. Within easy reach are Jane Austen’s house at Chawton (4 miles), Gilbert White’s House (6 miles), The Grange Opera at Northington and National Trust property Hinton Ampner. The pretty Georgian market town of Alresford is worthy of a visit for it’s wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as the Watercress train line, but it really comes into it’s own during May’s Watercress Festival. Historic Winchester is 15 miles from the Barn, which not only boasts one of the largest cathedrals in Europe but museums, theatres, art house cinemas, a diverse choice of bars and restaurants and fantastic shopping. Easy access to the New Forest, the Chichester Coast (West Witterings, Hayling Island), Goodwood, means there’s no shortage of things to do. If you enjoy walking or mountain biking you can join the 100 mile ancient South Downs Way at West Meon, Old Winchester Hill and find more stunning walks along Hangers Way heading towards Petersfield. There is a footpath off the property over fields from which you can walk to the famous “Pub with no Name” in just under an hour. Queen Elizabeth Country Park offers white knuckle mountain biking trails for the adrenalin seekers.
  • Excellent relaxing stay in a stylish and well equipped barn.

  • 10/10 would stay again, little barn is lovely location spot on, guests very friendly and welcoming , little touches on the place and bringing us a cupcake makes all the differences , would wholeheartedly recommend staying here

    Danny2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy, chic room, lovely green views, and such a big comfy bed - a plus for a light sleeper! Breakfast was tasty. We tried one of the nearby pub recommendations, Thomas Lord, and had a delicious meal.

    Vicky2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a quaint and stylish place! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area or people who would like a quiet weekend away from London!

    Stephanie2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely spot. Great location. The barn is gorgeous and Emma and Sam’s attention to detail makes it just perfect. I’m going to miss the delicious breakfast spread, Sonos speakers and relaxing bath tomorrow in London... Thanks for a fab stay. Anna

  • Highly recommend - clean, beautiful design, thoughtful touches like the delicious breakfast & local area info. Really enjoyed dinner at The Thomas Lord pub. Thank you for a perfect stay!

    Kunle2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most stylish and best value Air BnB I have stayed in. It was the perfect location to chill out and unwind for the night. Emma was so welcoming and was really flexible with us even letting us check in a tiny bit early. We completely had our own space and felt like we were in the middle of nowhere - just what we wanted! The barn was spotlessly clean, so beautifully finished and Emma left some delicious cakes and stuff for breakfast. The Neals Yard toiletries were gorgeous and a nice touch! For dinner we went to The Pub With No Name. Would recommend for hearty pub meals - we had the fish pie and lamb hot pot. Both hit the spot! Already thinking about when we might be able to escape for some children free time to the Barn again. Thanks so much Emma.

    Charlie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully presented, superbly comfortable and spotlessly clean little barn. Emma is a superb hostess who has furnished it wonderfully and has included lots of thoughtful little extras which you will enjoy. The breakfast provided was delicious and we can thoroughly recommend this without hesitation. We also had a lovely meal at The Thomas Lord pub which is well worth a visit too.

A new log cabin built autumn 2015 in its own grounds and completely private, overlooking heathland where horses and cattle roam freely 6 months of the year. It's next to farmland with a fishing lake nearby. Great for walks and enjoying the outdoors. Renting the log cabin is based on two guests sharing, any additional guest pays a complimentary fee.
The log cabin is spacious, cosy and comfortable. The sofa in the lounge also converts to a double bed , so up to 6 people can to stay. The cabin sits in an exclusive paddock of one acre surrounded by field, woods and heathland. It is a haven for wildlife. Guests can enjoy the grounds where there is a trampoline, swings and can also enjoy cooking and eating outdoors. There is also a coarse fishing lake in the adjacent farm.
It's location makes the cabin very unique. Its a rural retreat. No neighbours (except the cows, horses, deer and squirrels!) Great for wild life and being close to nature. Completely secluded with a beautiful view of the grounds. A great escape from the city! The Cross Keys pub, which is within walking distance, offers good food. There is also a good selection of country pubs nearby. There are excellent restaurants, pubs in the towns previously mentioned, as well as theatres and nightlife. We have wonderful beaches in Bournemouth and Poole. Close by, we have Potterns Park in Verwood and Moors Valley Country Park. Great for outdoor activities with the family and friends.
  • The cabin is perfect for some time out of the big smoke! I stayed there with 5 friends and we had a lovely time . The cabin is clean , outside areas spacious , lots of parking and space to run around! The cabin itself is perfect for short stays and well equipped ( kitchen stocked and lots of activities for a rainy day) . Perfect welcome by the hosts and flexibility with check out 😊

  • Perfect place for a relaxing escape from the city. It was a bit cold outside reason why we wanted to get a house that was just an experience in itself. Lots of nice sofas, chairs and floor pillows to lounge around; the place is full of interesting items, books and even an old DVD and music collection. Wonderful views to the outside fields from any window and even better, when going out to have a cup of tea from the top balcony or porch downstairs. Debbie left us some breakfast goodies, including a delicious jam assortment, which was a very nice surprise and we really enjoyed them thanks! Great walking trails around the property if you are looking to connect with nature too.

  • What a delightful find. This little annexe was just perfect for our weekend away. On a cold blustery day of arrival, the pre lit log burner by Debbie was such a welcome sight. Some nice touches left for us in the fridge too. Very comfortable bed and living space for relaxing during our cosy evenings with a bottle of wine. Debbie is a wonderful friendly host with good communication. We’ll definitely be back.

  • Debbie’s place is beautifully set out and warm and clean, with useful items such as a microwave and mini fridge, but it’s little touches like the lemon muffins and berry compôte, and the the relaxing, comfortable decor, that made this such a lovely place to be.

    Helen2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice cosy space, very welcoming. Comfortable, warm and lots of nice little touches - excellent tea/coffee facilities, nice range of breakfast cereals and fresh milk and fruit in fridge. Highly recommend!!

  • A lovely stay at Debbie’s place. Beautiful location, when we arrived we saw 2 deer running in the field opposite. Great little touches like the chocolate chip shortbread biscuits that Debbie had left on the side for us, tea and coffee supplies and cereals for breakfast. We ordered a takeaway from the local Indian restaurant which we really enjoyed 😊 the walk into Alresford took about 40 minutes and was lovely and the town itself is very cute with lovely little shops and places to eat and drink. We will definitely be back and will recommend to family and friends.

The Hayloft is a recently converted stylish barn set within the New Forest National Park yet conveniently located within walking distance of the historic coastal town of Lymington. Finished with comfort and enjoyment at its heart it provides the setting for a luxury getaway.
The Hayloft is set on the A337 into Lymington. The getaway provides sleeping accommodation for up to 4 people with a large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge. A movie/game room supplies the perfect ingredients for a cosy night in fit with board games, games consoles and a variety of movies. The converted barn comes complete with a Jacuzzi hot tub and BBQ. The hot tub is drained and re filled after every check out, therefore we cannot guarantee that it will be up to temperature on your first night. Please also note that the use of the hot-tub cannot always be guaranteed in busy periods due to routine maintenance. We recommend to bring easy slip on shoes to get to and from the hot tub!
  • If you are a clean freak like me this is the place for you. Sometimes on AirBnB superhosts have sparkling clean reviews but Annabelle truly deserves this title. Beautifully presented accommodation as Annabelle clearly has very good taste. Communication was prompt and friendly. Lots of nice touches such as sweets in the playroom.

    Sima2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for weekends away, very clean, spacious enough for 2 couples, great host.

    Alissia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The first thing anyone needs to know is that the pictures are 100% accurate and as described, the house is really spacious and super clean. The hot tub was ready and heated on our arrival. We looked everywhere for somewhere with a private hot tub, and lots claim to be private but then you realise they are really overlooked. This one is completely different, the hot tub is fully private and has nice touches with places to hang towels (hot tub towels are provided too) From walking in, the house is full of lovely homely touches from blankets to keep you warm, to sweets in the snug. It really felt like a place you could relax. The kitchen had all we needed to cook an evening meal and brunch, which is rare for an AirBnB. Netflix was available on both TVs as well as board games, Xbox , and full TV channels. Plenty to keep you entertained if the weather is bad. Location wise we found it convenient to get to both the New Forest and the coast, we had lunch at the Haven, which was recommended in the welcome pack, lovely food but you definitely need to book in advance as it gets very busy. All in all a lovely stay, we didn’t want to leave. We are definitely going to book again later in the year. Thank you!

    Craig2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay here. Perfect for 2 couples with the 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Loved the games room.

    Maggie2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great property, stylishly furnished and plenty of space. Hot tub a bonus!

    Ben2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had three nights here with our two boys (aged 2 and 5). We had a lovely stay! The place is very nicely decorated and more than big enough. The boys loved the games room and it was easy access to both the New Forest and the IOW. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of the day too. It's right by a busy road but this didn't affect our enjoyment and we would definitely return again!

    Clare2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • A very stylish space and great that rooms are separated by two different stair cases - ideal for 4 friends / 2 couples or a family. Although important to note it is very close to a main road. We didn’t realise before we stayed but it didn’t change much just meant you had to drive to get into town/ nearby walks. Overall a great stay and would recommend. The hot tub is a good touch too and excellent use of the space.

The accommodation is bright, spacious and has everything you need - even with a dog and baby in tow. I would highly recommend a stay here and will be back.

  • Great place and perfect sorroundings, quiet and well kept place. I am sure when the weather is great this is even a better location (unfortunately we had gust wind and rain practically the whole time we stayed) but having a nice, warm and dry place to stay made Gemma's place even more attractive!

  • We really had the best time here! The Piggery has lots of thoughtful touches which is so thoughtful and refreshing. We arrived to the sound of music which was left on for us - I loved this so much. The property was absolutely impeccable. It was spotless, warm and inviting. Everything mentioned on the listing was there and everything worked fine. Gemma was responsive, the instructions received were clear and the information provided was great. The taxi service worked very well and the forest trail and pub Gemma suggested were great fun and just as described! We would be sure to return if possible :)

The Old School House is a traditional and cosy one bedroom detached cottage in the grounds of our home on the western edge of Liphook village in Hampshire. Easy car access, just off the A3 and south of the Hindhead tunnel. The village has a train station. Situated in the South Downs National Park and ideally located for the market towns of Haslemere, Farnham, Petersfield and Alton, it is only 25 minutes from Goodwood. Great countryside and lots on offer locally for holiday or break.
The cottage is within a secure and gated property with parking and extensive grounds. Features include: central heating, log burning stove, TV (including sky movies/sports), wifi, King sized bed with luxury bedding, a fully equipped kitchen with oven and washing machine, a shower room, private patio and lovely decked area off the bedroom and small secure garden with table and chairs / BBQ.We offer use of our tennis court and you can enjoy a hot tub.
Liphook is well located, just Off the A3 with easy access via road or train to London approx 1 hr and to the coast approx 30 minutes. There is plenty to see and do in the area which is located on the edge of the South Downs national Park so the countryside is beautiful with many walks/cycle/ riding routes. We are also near the town of Haslemere which has some lovely independent shops and is well worth a browse. Goodwood is 25 minutes away for horse and car racing events. Neaby Midhurst offers Polo. There are a number of good pubs in and around the village, our local being the best in our view, The Deers Hut which is just a 5 minute walk. This pub is very popular for food so early booking is advised. There many excellent golf courses in this part of Hampshire/Surrey; Liphook and Hindhead are nearby, whilst Old Thorns Golf and Country Club is just around the corner, as is Champneys spa. Larger shopping areas are available in Guildford to the north and Gunwharf Quay outlet stores in Portsmouth to the south, both about half an hours drive.
  • Fantastic stay, hot tub was better than expected and laid out so our privacy was considered. Perfect for a relaxing weekend break.

  • My partner and I had the most romantic Valentines weekend here. It was so cozy with the log burner as Storm Dennis raged outside! That didn't stop us from using the hot tub too, It has some lovely lighting for a dip in the late evening. Thank you Jo for creating a lovely place to stay.

A self contained hilltop retreat with stunning panoramic rural views. The Pink Tower is a wooden octagonal building attached to the owners cottage on a working farm (pigs, sheep, arable). Set a quarter of a mile along the ancient OxDrove renowned for beautiful walks, it is situated right on the borders of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire.
Light, airy living area and kitchen is located on the top floor with the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. Private entrance gate off the track leads into a small enclosed garden with gravel areas and flower beds. Two wooden steps lead onto decking and the property's own front door.
  • Great quirky place to stay in tranquil location. Hope to go back in the summer to make the most of the balconies for breakfast or drinks in the evening overlooking the garden and surrounding countryside.

  • A unique and special place with amazing design. Linda is a lovely host. Waking up to nothing but birdsong on Sunday morning was wonderful. This is a superb location, close to several historical sites, walks, lovely restaurants and pubs...a gem.

    Kiran2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely few nights at the Pink Tower. Found it difficult to find but it was very dark when we arrived! The place was very clean and Linda was very helpful. The tower is about 20 mins drive from anything but this was fine for us. Overall very cosy..bed was especially cosy and not built for anyone over 6 foot! Hopefully we will be able to return one day.

However our host Linda also recommended local pubs to eat to help us anyway. Very quiet location so very peaceful. Only 20 mins from Salisbury. Would definitely book again. Thank you Linda.

A small, neat and tidy single room in a 1895 family home, stairs inside the property are steeper than standard, this is purely due to the age of the property. NO SMOKING ANYWHERE AT ALL IN THE HOUSE. Room is used predominantly for Airbnb but there are some personal touches in the room. Room has single bed and wardrobe in. Small breakfast of toast or cereal available as well as unlimited tea and coffee.
Ideal for single person, who needs a safe, friendly place to stay. 5 minutes walk from Fratton train station. Room is large enough for single bed and wardrobe. Shared bathroom with one or two other people.
Quiet , friendly neighborhood. Next door have young children and can very occasionally be heard . Although this is my home I am not always there. I do have a lodger who lives there all the time.

  • This was a much needed short break and I chose something a bit special to try to get the most out of our time. The studio excelled my expectations. It was perfect. Easy to book and check in. Very speedy communication at all points in the process. 1st impression was of breathtaking beauty and style, even though the pictures and description are accurate it doesn't do it justice because the rest is the atmosphere, so tranquil even with a storm brewing. Everything worked everything was perfect. Nothing was missing. Style wasnt at the expense of comfort either! Strongly recommend for any occasion.

  • Wonderful flat with easy access to transportation and nearby grocery, coffee, and cafes. Check-in and check-out were very easy. The flat was very stylish and had many interesting features. It was impeccably clean and the towels were nice and thick just the way we like them. The large bay windows and high ceilings make the flat feel spacious and roomy despite its compact size. Melanie communicated with us prior to our stay, after our arrival, and on our check-out day. She made it clear she was available to assist us even though she was out of town during our stay. She had great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. We recommend this flat for a lovely stay in Bournemouth!

  • Such a lovely country getaway. Lovely situated for us to venture into the new forest. Great that we had access to a spa and could relax. Was nice that there was no reception so we could switch off. It was clean comfortable and the breakfast ingredients left were lovely. Thanks Fiona we will definitely visit again

  • Great little Shepherd's hut. Loads of character and super cosy!

    Thomas2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice little hut, great views and hot tub fantastic.

    Ben2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great location, private, yet Fiona is on hand should you need anything: a view to gaze at, a super comfortable bed: lots provided for breakfast. Should you wish to be energetic, there is the swim spa (which I now know is a hot tub big enough to do swim strokes in, heated to a very pleasant temperature) It was raining and blowing when I sampled it, and the water was so warm that with shoulders under the weather could do what ever it wanted, I was happy!

    Peronel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Shepherd's Hut is beautifully situated with views overlooking hills and the river Avon. I cannot put into words what first took our breath away, the views, the clean and welcoming hut or the barn owl hunting in the field next to us. Inside was clean and cosy and the smell of the freshly baked loaf of bread was very welcoming. The fridge was stocked with more then expected with eggs, bacon, a choice of milk , juice and jams. The water was hot and the cooking facilities worked well and the bed was very comfortable. There was informative information regarding local amenities and we enjoyed a delicious meal in the local pub The Wheatshef, following the directions left in the hut. The hot tub was a glorious end to a long day exploring Stonehenge, the water was a wonderful tempreture and you can enjoy a heaven full of stars on a clear night. It is tucked in a peacfull and private corner of the garden. It is also only a 15 minute drive from Stonehenge and 20 minutes from Sailsbury. We throughly enjoyed our stay at The SHepherd's Hut and would be very happy to return.

    Philthy2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time at the Shepherd's hut, the location was beautiful and the hut was so cosy. Having private use of the hot tub which is just behind the hut was great, and Fiona had left us some delicious homemade vegan bread. We would definitely stay here again, and would like to come back in the Summer.

We are also only about a 7 min drive down to East Cowes, where there is a Waitrose. And 4 mins from a lovely farmshop with cafe/restaurant. So you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere - in lovely rural peace and quiet - but you are really not far from civilisation at all ! And it's a great starting point for visiting places all over the Island , where there is a huge variety of things to do for all ages and preferences ! We can send you our special recommendations of 'Things To do' and great restaurants to try .

  • The Treehouse is a really magical place to stay- especially if you have kids. It was a cosy, comfortable and well appointed place - it had everything we needed and more. Fiona gave us a warm welcome and so much helpful information about the island. It was an unforgettable place to stay- especially having the gentle sway of the treehouse rock us to sleep each night.

    Claire2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • My 5 friends and I had such a great stay at this amazing place. The beds were very comfy after chilling in the main space with a wood burner going and some glasses of red wine. An Outdoor bbq, table tennis and games means there is plenty to keep yourselves entertained in a peaceful part of the IOWight. Only a 5-10min drive from the ferry if you head to Fishbourne which was great. Fiona was a fab host! 5 stars!

  • The treehouse is fantastic. A unique experience, for sure. It rocks you to sleep at night, which is just so lovely and there’s ping pong to be had, if you fancy it too. Mr 11 was absolutely delighted by all of it. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back for sure 😊 Thank you

Turn right onto the country lane and follow it to Hockeys Farm keeping to the left as you go. To walk to The Royal Oak - turn left out of electric gates and follow track to end and turn right onto the quiet country lane which will lead you to the pub which will be on your left. To walk to The Potting Shed - go left out of electric gates, go up track a little way and take the first right turn at a house called ‘Gorley Firs’. Walk to top of hill and stay straight and then walk down the hill onto Gorley Common. Walk straight across the common and on the other side of it you’ll walk up a short hill to a forest car park. Walk through the car park and turn left onto the country lane and follow it round to the cafe which will be on your right in a hamlet called ‘Hyde’. ***If the dates you would like to book won't fit into the booking calendar then please message me and I will try to accommodate you. ***We also have a fantastic newly built shepherds hut ('Maurietty') on with Airbnb which would enable a group of 4 people to come away together (2 in the hut and 2 in the cabin). ***Please note that WiFi can sometimes be unreliable due to our countryside location despite the area recently having fibre optic broadband installed. It’s something we’ve learnt to live with - thank goodness for 4G!! ***Extra charge of £25 for a dog payable in cash during your stay.
The New Forest is a former royal hunting ground in the south of England. It was created in 1079 by William I (known as William the Conqueror) as a hunting area, principally deer. Nearly 1000 years later the ancient landscape of his ‘Nova Foresta’ remains almost unchanged and in March 2005 was designated the 8th National Park in England. The park lies mainly in south-west Hampshire, from east of the Avon Valley to Southampton water and from the Solent coast to the edge of the Wiltshire chalk downs covering some 140,000 acres. It is a unique area of historical, ecological and agricultural significance, and retains many of the rural practices conceded by the Crown in historical times to local people. Principal of these is the pasturing of ponies, cattle, pigs and donkeys in the open forest by local inhabitants known as commoners. It is an outstanding recreational area for walking, cycling and riding. North Gorley is a hamlet in the New Forest National Park. Its nearest town is Fordingbridge, which lies approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of the hamlet. North Gorley is very quiet and has narrow country lanes which we share with ponies, donkeys, cattle, deer, horse riders etc. North Gorley has one inn, The Royal Oak, which claims to be a former Royal hunting lodge and is a 5 minute drive or a 15/20 minute walk and serves great food. Guests can also walk to the award-winning café and farm shop 'Hockeys Farm' which is approx. half a mile away in South Gorley . They serve an all day cooked breakfast and also provide a bike hire service. It's a 5 minute drive to the A338 which gives access north to Fordingbridge and the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury, and south to Ringwood and the A31 east to Southampton and west to Bournemouth and Poole. It's a 25 minute drive to the South Coast's beautiful beaches. The New Forest is known as a lovely tourist honey pot, but there is a big local secret: the north west quarter is quiet and remote. This is the 'proper' Forest with lovely quiet countryside, animals galore, and even on a bank holiday weekend you can still walk for miles without meeting another person. However, The tourist towns and villages such as Burley, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst, Lyndhurst and Lymington are all easily accessible and well worth a visit. Our favourite is Lymington which is a beautiful 35/40 minute drive through The New Forest going through Burley. Beaulieu is also very quaint and picturesque with an Abbey and there's a lovely walk from Beaulieu village centre to Bucklers Hard.
  • Perfect cosy spot ...ideal location to explore the New Forrest on foot or by car. Highly recommended.

  • A lovely base to explore the surrounding area, the host was excellent and the property exactly as advertised - clean, tidy, well presented and perfectly positioned.

  • We had a fantastic stay in beautiful surroundings. The cabin is amazing, it’s so cosy during cold, wet nights and if the sun shines the outlook across the fields is stunning! Jo has thought of everything, there’s loads of info on the surrounding area and you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to good pubs or farm shops etc in the area. It really is a perfect escape and we’d highly recommend!

  • It was an amazing time to getaway with a cozy and comfortable house with a beautiful view in the morning

  • Beautifully cleaned well equipped cabin with beautiful scenery of Woodlands. Feel very safe and secluded inside the grounds with the electric gates. Every thing is available for your needs, hair dryer, shampoo even an ironing board. Literally jo has thought of everything. We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and we took our youngest. We took our own travel cot which with had up in living room/kitchen area. Plenty of room. We didn't personally meet Jo however any needs she was only a phone call away, which I personally appreciated being "left to it." All instructions were easy to follow and Jo even gave us a separate set of directions because of the flooding fords. Really enjoyed our experience

  • The cabin is in an idyllic setting and perfect for accessing the New Forest. We could easily have stayed longer and would love to stay there again to see more of what the New Forest has to offer. Jo is a fantastic host and provides excellent information, makes suggestions on travel and activities and checked to make sure we were totally comfortable, which we were. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks again Jo

  • Lovely picturesque cabin in a lovely part of the world

    Mark2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is just so beautiful, the space is super clean and cosy, with lovely views and just an all round home-from-home. There’s everything you need for a short break, definitely so much more luxurious than camping in the new forest, but in a simple way so that you can still enjoy the nature and peace around you. Just need to make sure to follow Jo’s directions, especially if arriving after dark! Really appreciated Jo’s friendliness and helped so much with ideas of local places to visit. Hope to be back soon!

  • The yurt was amazing, really enjoyed that it had speakers! Sue was so thoughtful from the breakfast basket to the greeting on arrival, we had such a lovely weekend away. Would thoroughly recommend!!

  • We spent 3 nights in Sue's yurt to explore the Isle of Wight. The yurt is lovely and located in a beautiful garden with lovely views. I would recommend it to anyone looking for something other than a simple house or flat. We also got served a delicious breakfast with homemade jams :)

  • Beautiful and charming yurt in a great location. Outstanding hosting that helped make a great weekend away even better

    Sebastian2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our 2 night stay in the yurt was cosy and relaxing. The decorations are beautiful and every detail of what you may need has been thought of, including the breakfast which was a lovely treat each morning. Sue was nice enough to let us use her shower both days as we had spent our days cycling around the island, and we could store our bikes in their workshop. The yurt is a perfect location for cycling as it’s near the cycle path between Cowes and Sandown. The first night of our stay we used the microwave in the lobby to have a ready meal and the second we visited the stag pub down the road and both had very nice meals. Have already recommended staying here to friends and we hope to return!

    Sarah2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic stay, wonderful hospitality and magical yurt to spend a romantic night away in. We will return.

    Stuart2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sue's yurt was absolutely amazing, a lovely stay with easy access to buses to all parts of the island. Sue provided a lovely thoughtful breakfast and we wanted for nothing!

    Belle2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely lovely time at Sue's place, the yurt is as beautiful as the pictures depict. The bed was so comfortable we couldn't wait to get in it. We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a tranquil getaway on the island.

  • The Croft was a great place for my boyfriend and I to stay for a relaxing weekend away. Mel and Craig were great hosts, not only was the Croft perfectly clean, they provided thoughtful extras such as a packet of biscuits and a bottle of milk for our arrival. Mel was quick to answer any of my messages and checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed as well as accommodating an early check in for us at the start of our stay. The cabin itself has everything you could need for a weekend away - a great cabin and great hosts. Thank you Craig and Mel!

  • Such a wonderful stay at the cabin, an all-round great experience. The cabin has lovely decor and is situated in a great location which is nice and peaceful. There are so many places you can visit during your stay as well as things to do - would recommend the bike hire in Brockenhurst. Mel was super helpful during our stay and a message away incase we ever needed anything and we were welcomed with a bottle of prosecco which was really thoughtful! I would love to go back!

    Charlotte2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay here in Hordle. The place was very cosy - the bed was extremely comfy! It had all of the facilities that were needed to be able to cook there yourself. Complimentary prosecco was a nice added touch over the New Year!

    Hannah2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little cabin to stay for a weekend getaway! The place was so cute, cosy and well decorated. The cabin was well equipped and Mel provided us with lovely croissants, milk, tea and coffee. The bedding was super comfy and warm. I would say it got rather cold in the morning so i would recommend putting the heater on - otherwise, everything was great. Thank you for being super accommodating!
