Whether you're lying in the hammock on the spacious balcony sipping your coffee as the sun rises across the mountain range or enjoying unforgettable, quality time with the family, you'd be hard pressed to find a view that matches that of the Canyon View Treehouse. Experience incredible views of the Arkansas Grand Canyon, beautiful decor and other luxurious amenities. At Buffalo River Vacations our goal is to go above and beyond to make sure that our guests have an unforgettable getaway.
  • This place was absolutely amazing. The view was incredible, the house was impeccably clean and well-styled. We felt like royalty tucked into this cozy little treehouse. We brought our three sons along and they absolutely loved exploring the nearby woods, climbing up and down the "ladder," and snuggling into the "big bed."

    Jessica2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Awsome lil cabin. Beautiful!

    Laura 2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Sharla’s place was absolutely incredible. It was sparkling clean when we arrived. They even had some brownies and chocolate for us when we arrived. Perfect space for a little get away!! Highly recommend and we will very likely stay there again someday.

    Tim2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Sharla’s cabin was amazing!!! The views were breathtaking. The cabin was super stylish, cozy but plenty of space for the 4 of us. The bathroom was like a spa! We will definitely be coming back!

  • You will not be disappointed. The view is incredible and the space is clean and cozy.

    Lisa2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous! This cabin could not have been more perfect. Clean and stylish, very modern and cozy too. The location was picture perfect too. Every amenity thoughtfully provided and then some. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a romantic weekend away in a setting that feels like its pulled from the pages of a magazine.

    Danielle2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was such an amazing stay! Ben and Sharla went above and beyond on this place as well as checking in and making sure we were comfortable. This treehouse/cabin is something that all should experience, the VIEW is something I will never forget. Waking up, watching TV, going to sleep surrounded by that view. I even braved the 32 degree weather the last day of our stay and had my morning cup of coffee in the patio. My husband and son really enjoyed it and agree that we will definitely return. If you are on the fence, PLEASE STAY HERE! The place is modern, comfy, and THE BATH TUB is a must. Thank you Ben and Sharla for a memorable time.

New luxurious treetop cabin! This professionally decorated cabin combines luxury with rustic elegance. It is the ultimate spot to have an unforgettable family vacation. With beautiful decor, incredible views and other luxurious amenities your stay will be unforgettable!
  • This was the absolute best little weekend getaway for my husband and I. Ben and Sharla were so hospitable and provided a comfy, clean cabin for us with warm brownies upon our arrival. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

    Anna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at one of Ben and Sharla’s cabins and it won’t be our last! It’s always a treat to come to Jasper. They got all the details right when they constructed these cabins. The landscape, the spa-esque bathroom, the large comfy bed... the list is infinite. Thanks again for the fantastic weekend away.

    Jennifer2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin with great amenities and and an even better view. Highly recommended.

  • This was a beautiful cabin in a great location just north of jasper

    Mary2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • There’s not enough space on here to say what I can say about this cabin! I’ll keep it brief for future travelers. Me and my husband love hiking and decided to spend our anniversary here. With that being said, the cabin, with its warm and cozy atmosphere, romantic bathroom with huge bathtub and heated floors, and the solitude of the cabin overlooking the valley, was the perfect combination for what felt like a honeymoon. We arrived to a very clean cabin AND freshly baked brownies, which we enjoyed with coffee each evening. Everything was incredible , beautiful, clean, and comfortable. We hiked the most incredible places all within an hour drive of the cabin. Hawksbill Crag, Lost Valley, Balanced Rock Falls, we couldn’t believe how well Arkansas hides these gems of places. We would absolutely return! The only tiny thing I could say (which honestly isn’t that big of a deal because we try to not spend our time watching tv) was that there’s only dish satellite available and not a smart tv or firestick or roku to be able to pull up your streaming applications. In case some of you may be wanting to binge on Netflix or if that’s a big deal to you I would suggest bringing a laptop. Maybe a smart tv in the future would be cool but this is the least of worries for such a wonderful place :) thank you both we loved it !!!

    Sabrina2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Ben, Sharla and the rest of their team worked hard to create an absolutely unforgettable space; from the moment you step out of your car toward the cabin, you’re in awe :-) The views, the space inside, the incredibly stylish accommodations, the thoughtful brownies and sweet note for us... they even kindly provided us with the quick-melt stuff to help us out on an icy morning..!! it’s just an amazing place and we very much how to be back; this was our “home” for four incredible days, and we are super thankful :-)

    Andrea2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Be sure to get up and watch the sunrise every morning you can, it’s incredible! The cabin was gorgeous and Ben and Sharla are welcoming hosts.

    Hannah2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • It is clear from the AirBnB entry for Ben and Sharla's place that it is special, but there is no way to overstate it or to be prepared for how wonderful it is. Every possible amenity is provided including snacks and water bottles in the fridge, a coffee grinder and delicious whole beans, and a full supply toiletries stocked in the bathroom. When we arrived the fireplace was burning, music was playing and a large tray of warm brownies freshly baked from scratch were cooling on the stove! The cabin and all of its furnishings are new, modern and beautiful including as other guests have reported, a world class shower. Best of all is the view from the large deck perched on the side of the mountain overlooking a sweeping valley unspoiled as far as the eye can see. If you are a hiker, amazing trails are available close by. Nothing detracted from our stay beyond worrying about how short our visit was. We will plan to come back again. Thank you Ben and Sharla for going way beyond expectations.

  • We stayed at the Haven for 3 nights with our 2 kids and 2 dogs. Jeff was a great host! Finding and checking into the Haven was simple. The cabin itself was in perfect shape. The personal touches like the s'mores were great! We didn't get to use them unfortunately due to a lot of rain while we were there. The cabin was within 20-40 min of every major hike we wanted to do. And only a 20 min drive into the adorable city of Jasper. We will definitely be coming back - well worth the drive from AZ! Thanks again Jeff!!

    Katrina2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at this beautiful cabin. It was the perfect home base for our hiking trip. We loved how we felt like we were still in the forest even inside. Easy access to Jasper and Ponca plus many Buffalo National River trailheads.

    Christina2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was an ideal place to stay while visiting the Grand Canyon of Arkansas. It was clean and everything you need to cook with. The bed was comfortable and the cabin very roomy.

My place is a short drive to The Buffalo National River and Ozark National Forest for canoeing, hiking, scenic drives with awesome views . You’ll love my place because of Secluded Cedar Log Cabins. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and Absolutely NO Pets in this cabin.
  • Amazing Spot. Private and the view in the back is perfect. 100% recommend

    Alan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved this cabin. It was perfect for a new year’s getaway! Kitchen was stocked better than most cabins I’ve stayed in before and much appreciated (plenty of pots/pans, cutlery, place settings, etc.). The downstairs was way more spacious than we expected; this cabin has tons of space yet still feels cozy.

    Allison2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space with stunning views! It was a perfect place for us after long days of hiking. We loved the covered deck in the back and the fire pit in the front. Would definitely stay here again!

    Connie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this cabin! The view was gorgeous and we spent each night relaxing on the porch. The place had all of the amenities you could ask for.

    Amanda2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • So spacious but cozy. Much time was spent on the back deck just enjoying the breeze and birds. Even though it's obviously a place to get a way from it all, I have to mention the wifi is pretty speedy(we joked how a remote cabin has better internet service than ours at home) and my husband was able to work on one of his classes while there on the deck since there is a convenient outlet out there:) We only stayed a few nights but normally would have really taken advantage of the nice appliances in the kitchen. Thanks!

  • The cabin is amazing with an fantastic view. Highly recommend!

    Julia2019-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cabin secluded from all the noise of the cities. If you're looking for a serene getaways in the Ozarks, this is your cabin!

  • This was my second stay at Whiskey Hollow, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. This cabin is the perfect getaway if you're looking for a peaceful, remote location in the woods. Situated in the mountains between Jasper, AR and Deer, AR, there are dozens of outdoor activities available within an hour's drive. I came in early March for hiking and had an amazing experience. The cabin itself is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. That huge wrap-around porch is the best feature! The interior is new yet rustic in design, clean and includes all modern conveniences. (I made great use of the full kitchen and washer / dryer.) Communication with the host was always prompt. Last year I worried about finding it in the woods, as the cabin has no address (but the host made sure I got there okay). This year I marked the location in my GPS so I can easily find it the next time I come back. Already can't wait to visit again! If you're the type who feels the magic of quiet time spent off the beaten track, you'll love staying at Whiskey Hollow. I know I do.

Very quiet and private 1 bedroom cabin with seasonal views of the Little Buffalo River. Fully equipped kitchen. Access to beach and seasonal swimming hole. A perfect romantic getaway for couples. There is an additional sleeping area separate from the house if you wanted to bring an extra guest or two. Lotus Point is only 6 miles from Jasper. Close to many access points on the upper section of the Buffalo National River for fishing, floating, hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing.
The main cabin has 1 bedroom with queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, laundry and bath and sits on 9 acres of mostly wooded land. There is internet service and TV with Netflix, as well as a variety of board games and books available in the cozy living room for guests to enjoy. The deck overlooking the Little Buffalo River is great for just sitting and relaxing or barbecuing on the gas grill provided. There is a small bungalow that can sleep two additional guests should you decide to bring friends. It is detached from the house, and is perched on a bluff overlooking the river. It has a queen size bed, A/C and heater, bottled water and coffee maker are provided, however, there is NO bathroom or cooking facilities. It is just for sleeping. There is an additional fee for use of this space so please be sure to indicate if you wish to use the bungalow. There is a steep and narrow trail that leads down to the beach and swimming hole for those who are adventurous.
Jasper is a quiet quaint little town, usually bustling with tourists during the floating season in the Spring, hikers, rock climbers and motorcyclists in Spring and Fall. There are a couple arts and craft galleries in town and different festivals and events occur throughout the year such as Heritage Days and Elk Festival in Spring, the Bluegrass Festival in summer. As you wander around this little country town you will most likely encounter many interesting locals whose families go back many generations, as well as many "transplants" who have decided to make Newton County their home.
  • Lotus point was my first Airbnb and it set the bar so high! This place had everything you could ever need and more! I loved the visit from the neighbor dogs along with the wrap around porch, you can hear the little buffalo river running, and at night the stars are unbelievable! Highly highly recommend this place, it’s in a great location and a great size, thanks for an amazing stay!

    Lindsey2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay! My son and I go on a mother and son trip every year, and this year, it was Arkansas. This place was just lovely. I would highly recommend it! We were stuck inside most of our vacation because of the weather, but my son wasn’t upset one bit. Very peaceful!

  • I love this place and can't wait to come back! Claire was a wonderful host and her place is amazing! It's very clean, lots of interesting decor including some unique books, in a private location not far from town, beautiful views and a deck that wraps half way around the place!! I could go on and on!! I highly recommend checking it out if you are starting to in area. Thanks for everything Claire!!

    Michael2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great host. If you like getting outdoors in North Arkansas- you can't do much better. This place is perfect for what we wanted- a cozy location close to the trails, but remote enough to be private. Claire does a greta job answering questions and includes a lot of thoughtful extras, like a walking stick if you need it. It all adds up to a great choice- one we've made twice now.

    Jay2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a treasure! Lotus Point is perfection.

  • This place is a hidden gem and by far one of the best Airbnb experiences we've had yet. It was a relaxing couple's getaway, and we left feeling truly refreshed and rested. The views from the back deck are spectacular -- much better than pictures can tell. The back deck also had a propane fire pit that was the perfect touch on a cool February night out under the stars. I appreciated the modern decor and the luxurious amenities (heated floors in the master bath!). The hosts are very thoughtful. The property manager (Brandi) was quick to respond and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

  • Stay her if you can. Get place to set up base if your into hiking this area. Place is immaculate and has some awesome features, master bath, fire pit, balcony with great view. Close enough to restaurants if you don’t want to cook.

  • Absolutely perfect. There were 5 of us all together and we had plenty of room. The master bathroom was lovely and very popular. The kids loved the loft area above the 2nd bedroom. Views were spectacular. Mountain crest is a very peaceful and inspirational place. Looking forward to our next visit. ❤️

  • My wife made the arrangements, so I didn't look at the venue before the trip and decided to give it a wait-and-see. We drove in early and roamed the town and had lunch and later my wife and granddaughter rode the big zip line. I watched. It had been a long day and the drive through the mountains was a chore for one who's from the flat lands of south Louisiana. We had a three o'clock check in, and we were all ready to take off our shoes and relax. We passed the clean-up person on the way into the cabin, who answered any questions we could think of at the time. The view was just beautiful there in mid afternoon (as it was later at sunset and early the next day when the sun was on the rise). Then we caught that smell ... There on the stove under a tea towel was a pan of fresh baked brownies. Just what we needed. The property inside, and the grounds, were clean and inviting. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for meals, my granddaughter loved the jacuzzi, and I really enjoyed the rain-like shower head. We sat on the porch and couldn't get enough of the view. My granddaughter found the hidden loft bed and claimed it for her own. We really enjoyed our stay and wished we were there for a little longer. I've never been to that part of our country and was impressed with the beauty of it. The BnB and all it had to offer only enhanced my appreciation.

  • Ben and Sharla were so quick to answer any and all questions we had and really helped us have the most relaxing vacation and much needed getaway I can’t wait to book again in the fall or maybe winter and take in the gorgeous view

  • STAY HERE. The view is literally breathtaking. The cabin itself is absolutely stunning. There’s a grand crayon overlook hotel and restaurant about 5 mins away if you want to eat out or better yet stay in!!! Harps grocery store is only about 10 mins away, we bought steaks and enjoyed a beautiful dinner on the deck, made s’mores with the fire pit. The shower and tub is wonderful as well. I posted about this on my social media and have numerous people wanting to stay here. I can’t recommend this enough. I will remember this cabin for a long time. Its worth every penny.

NEW OWNER - Please enjoy our discounted rates as we make improvements and upgrades tot the property. Cabin 3 is a mini-motel with three individual rooms. Rooms 3 and 4 each feature a queen size bed with a full bath. Rooms 3 and 4 share an interconnecting door and would be perfect for a family or couples traveling together who want their own privacy.
Enjoy the Scenic Beauty and Natural Wonders of the Ozark Mountain Region while staying in one of our Chalets or Cabins that offer all the comforts of home! Surrounded by Ozark Mountain beauty, we are close to the Buffalo National River with lots of hiking trails just minutes away. We're only about an hour from Branson and Eureka Springs - so see all the sites and shows, but return to Little Switzerland Chalets and Cabins to relax in the quiet peaceful beauty of Newton County.
The Little Switzerland homestead dates back to at least 1891 when two Swiss families settled at this site in Newton County and it has always been an "oasis" for travelers. In horse and buggy days travelers would stop to rest and fill their water barrels before continuing on their journey. It took three days to travel the 18 miles from Jasper to Harrison and Little Switzerland was always the first stop before heading out over the rugged mountain terrain.
  • We enjoyed our second stay at Little Switzerland as much as the first. Perfect location for enjoying all that Jasper and the Buffalo River area has to offer.

  • Place is great. Has great hiking nearby.

  • This is a beautiful cabin in the woods with everything you need. Loved the fire pit, fireplace and fabulous night sky ( look for the Milky Way)! The driveway would be very difficult for a motorcycle (we were on a 3-wheel Harley and it was challenging). Be sure to go: to Jasper for the Ozark Cafe and Emma’s Museum of Junk, see the elk in Boxley Valley and go to Eureka Springs.

    Leslie2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect cabin nestled in the woods away from it all. Very well stocked with everything you could need. Clint was a gracious host (even when he had to come open the door when we couldn’t figure it out). Haha Look forward to coming back again soon.

  • We had a great weekend getaway!

  • Stayed in The Original with my husband and our 3 kids (ages 16, 3, and 4 months) and it was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin is perfectly secluded but easy to find with the directions provided. We loved the private “backyard” area and spent time out there cooking over the fire and exploring. Pruitt’s Landing was right down the road and was perfect for spending the day at the river. It was an easy drive to the Ozark Campground swimming hole and Erbie. We even drove an easy 30 minutes to swim at Steel Creek. Perfect location and perfect amenities. Will definitely recommend it to others and would stay with the family here again!

Come enjoy the convenient yet private location and all that Newton County has to offer. Here, the floor is made from local Hickory with Black Walnut inlay. The ceiling is of white washed Maple, also patterned with Walnut and the walls are made from slabs of Dogwood, Catalpa, Sweet Gum, Black Locust, Mimosa, Persimmon, Osage Orange, Cypress and more, with Walnut inlay between each slab. Come check out the latest updates to Morwood, new flooring, furniture updates and more. All new felt on the pool table as well.
Morwood House is conveniently located one mile south of Jasper, just off Scenic 7 Byway on 15 acres of pristine Ozark Mountain property. We're just minutes from the Buffalo National River, canoeing, great swimming holes, fishing, lots of fantastic hiking trails, and the quaint town of Jasper with it's unique shops and excellent restaurants. In Newton County you will discover the tallest bluffs on the Buffalo River, the highest free falling water fall in mid America, no traffic control lights, no shopping malls, no marinas and no straight roads. It's absolutely beautiful here! But, if you get tired if the great outdoors, Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR, are only about an hour away. There you can take in a show, spend the day at the spa or just shop til you drop. After all of that, you will be anxious to return to the peace and quiet of "Your Haven in the Ozarks".
  • Terrific cabin in close proximity to excellent hikes & scenery. It’s a sub-5 minute drive to a grocery store or Japer’s downtown food spots. The cabin is awesome! Grill works great, the hot tub is so nice and the sunset views are wonderful. Easy to cook food there with all the tools you need. Excellent place to bring your dog too. We loved it! The host was outstanding. She even helped me plan my proposal and went out of her way to sneak flowers in while we were hiking! If you are looking to explore the Buffalo River area, this cabin is an excellent home base.

  • A beautiful place to unwind and enjoy the views of the Ozark Mountains! It has everything you need and more to create some unforgettable memories! Campfire pit, pool table, ping pong, and it's close to the Triple Falls which was a cherry on top to our trip! The cabin was so well kept and clean (call dibs on the master bedroom....it is incredible with a gorgeous view) and Tricia honestly thought of all the necessities you may have forgotten at home! It was hands down the best way to kick off the New Year! Thank you again! ☺️

    Monika2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We love this place! Quiet, serene, great views, close to town - the hot tub and game room are just bonuses!

    Rachel2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is an amazing location! I had a wonderful stay and will be back. The view, the hot tub, and the comfort of the home were really special and made my trip. Thanks Tricia!!

  • The Morwood House was everything we wanted in a weekend-getaway home & more!! We enjoyed breakfast & lunches in town. Highly recommend Ozark Cafe & Blue Mountain Cafe! Both so yummy! The town of Jasper is minutes from the house and was so convenient! At night, it was so nice being able to cook at the house and enjoy a night-in. The fire pit was a huge hit! Everything we needed was provided in order to cook. So helpful! Our pup enjoyed running the grounds & had his first encounter with a deer! RoundTop Mountain is just up the road from the house & we enjoyed hiking and seeing the beautiful views. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your wonderful hospitality!!!!

    Lana2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • The house has great spaces for groups of people with the game room and big area around the kitchen and dining room. There was just a couple of us and we still had a blast. The location is a good jumping off point for area trails and the town is just a few minutes away. Beautiful views, great experience.

    Khamp2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous property with plenty of room to stretch out. I highly recommend getting in the hot tub for sunset, because the colors in the valley were breathtaking. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The game room was a very nice touch, which was great because it rained for half of our trip and we spent a lot of our time in there playing ping pong and shooting some pool. We will be returning to this property for sure!

We were able to hike the trails she recommended and after a long day’s hike, we loved soaking and relaxing in the hot tub! The amenities are grand and you will find a great selection of books, movies, and games to keep you busy a well. We loved her place and we highly recommend it to everyone!

  • This space is amazing. WE loved the hot tub on the back deck, the grill, the fireplace, and the solitude. Lots of places to hike nearby. Couldn't have picked a better getaway for my wife and I.

  • My girlfriend and I recurved way more than expected. Everything was great had a wonderful time

    Wesley2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely everything we could have wanted. It was sparkling clean, the hot tub was AMAZING, we wished we were there longer! We ended up getting lost/delayed by about 30 minutes because we lost reception on the way out there, so I'd definitely recommend taking a screen shot of the directions! But once you reach the JB Trading Co it was really easy to find!

    MacKenzie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Name says is perfectly. Beautiful cozy cabin with modern amenities allows best of both worlds. The tranquility of the cabin coupled with the natural beauty of the area make it a perfect destination. Can’t beat the price for what you get and the hosts were amazing! Definitely recommend and definitely will return, hopefully soon! 5⭐️

Misty Bluff is a two bedroom home that sits on the rim of the Arkansas Grand Canyon. Misty Bluff is perfect lodging to be near all the outdoor activities in the Jasper area, or to just sit and relax, and enjoy the scenery. It's the perfect setting for viewing the extraordinarily beautiful fall foliage. For water enthusiasts, the Buffalo National River is 13 miles down the mountain to Pruitt Landing.
  • Great location and amazing views!

    Chris2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING VIEWS! The back deck opened right up into the Arkansas Grand Canyon which was beautiful during sunrise/sunset. Super close to a lot of really great hikes and wildlife. We made use of the grill out back as well as the heater downstairs which made the room super cozy. The jacuzzi tub was a wonderful addition and made for a perfect getaway weekend. Will definitely be back!

    Grace2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place with a spectacular view! We enjoyed our stay and Juergen made check in very easy.

    Austin2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was a beautiful home with a beautiful view. We spent the week of Christmas here and it was perfect. It is only a few minutes from a local grocery store, an hour away from the great shopping in Branson, and the views all over this area are incredible. The location is perfect. The views are amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Courtney2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Both my boyfriend and I were incredibly impressed by the cabin at Misty Bluff. We had a little bit of trouble finding the place, but Juergen was immensely responsive and helped us find the way in very little time. Upon our arrival, both of us were drawn to the incredible view; the pictures in the listing give you an idea of what to expect, but can't do the real thing justice. Perfect for watching the sunrise (and sunset) is a balcony off of the upper level of the home, accessed by a sliding glass door in the master bedroom (note: there are a few nails sticking out of the wood boards), in addition to a patio off the lower level's living space. Both provide a clear view of the mountains, especially since Juergen took the time to clear some of the surrounding trees. My favorite part, beyond the view, was the huge jacuzzi tub. It fits two people comfortably, a great feature for a romantic weekend. The rest of the cabin is pretty standard, but stands above other listings in that it's actually stocked with most of the things you'll need—a bar of soap and coffee being notable exceptions. Overall, Juergen's cabin at Misty Bluff is an exceptional choice for a couple or a group of friends, whether you plan to take advantage of the surrounding amenities or just relax for the weekend. Juergen is very friendly, super accommodating, and basically everything thing you'd want in an Airbnb host. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area, and I truly hope we find a good time to return in the future.

    Emma2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • When we arrived we were blown away by this beautiful place. The cabin is clean, spacious, unique and has beautiful decor. The views from the patio and bedroom windows are breathtaking. We have never seen so many stars at night and such gorgeous sunrises before! The cabin is close to highway 7 and easy to find but at the same time feels very secluded. The two big beds are comfortable and the accommodations are great for 4 people. There is a rollaway bed for the 5th person which would be probably ok for a young child but not comfortable for a teen/adult. The kitchen is stocked with pots and dishes in case you want to cook in the cabin. Juergen is a great host! He responded quickly and gave us helpful advices and suggestions regarding places to visit. We definitely recommend this place!!!

    Marina2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at Misty Bluffs! The views from both balconies are absolutely incredible! The cabin was very clean and the amenities in the house were great to have during our stay. The location is also pretty close to Jasper, which has a quaint downtown. Plus, Ponca isn't too far of a drive either so there are many activities and things to do near by. We would definitely stay at Misty Bluffs again!

    Taylor2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described and showed in pictures. We loved the jacuzzi tub and being able to look out at the valley through the big windows.

This cozy mountain top cabin is located in the middle of the 10 acre pasture. The trailhead to Hemmed In Hollow waterfall is just across the property line. There is a great store on the highway for hiking gear and a short order kitchen. Enjoy beautiful views of rolling pastures, cattle and fireflies galore. Just 10 minutes from Buffalo river access in Ponca, 20 minutes from Harrison AR, and 50 minutes from Branson MO.
Central air and heat, simple linens, TV and DVD player. No wifi or cable.
The area here is country mountain living at it's best. The cabin is surrounded by rolling pastures, and quiet but friendly neighbors. Now we are 20 minutes from Harrison, AR. That's be closest town with a Walmart and restaurants. The store 1 mile away on the highway (JB trading Co) has a deli, short order cook, pizza station, groceries and hiking supplies.
  • This cabin is absolutely the cutest thing ever, highly recommend staying here while hiking or floating the Buffalo River!! Truly amazing super close to some wonderful trails!

  • Very clean! Great location for hiking, canoeing, etc. The Connie cabin exceeded our expectations. 👍

  • My boyfriend and I wanted to find a nice place to stay near hiking trails and Holly’s Cabin was perfect. The kitchen is amazing and there were great amenities. The cabin is less than a mile from Hemmed in Hollows trailhead. JB’s trading post which is about a mile away had great breakfast and every basic necessity you need. We will definitely be staying here again! If you are looking to find a place in a remote area with natural beauty and places to hike, then Holly’s Cabin is the place for you.

    Kaila2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy, clean and the outside was well kept. cabin sits on 10 acres Breathtaking!

    Deborah2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was such a perfect place to relax and use as a hiking hub. It's right next to the Hemmended in the Hollows trail (you could walk from the cabin if you wanted) and just a few miles from Centerpoint trail and a few others. The little camp store, on the main road, JB's is closed on Sundays but has great breakfast egg biscuits and has little flyers on each of the area trails (also is a gas station). There's another camp store in Ponca but in general, you're best off arriving in the area with groceries if you plan to cook at all or if you want certain things for breakfast or lunch. We enjoyed the sandwiches at the Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca for lunch both days but then drove to Harrison (the next bigger town over) for dinner one night. The cabin itself is super comfy. There's a back porch on the second floor that is perfect for watching the sunset. There's plenty of hot water for showers. The king size bed downstairs was great and so were the couch and big armchair for reading and watching DVDs at night. There is also coffee and hot chocolate available. There's no wifi (which was a nice way to unplug from work) but our Verizon phones did fine with reception from the cabin. It's a perfect escape in back country Arkansas and we would stay here again in a heartbeat if the opportunity presents itself!!!

    Adrienne2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin. Pretty isolated, which is a great thing if that’s what you’re seeking. Good place for a peaceful getaway for a couple or a small group of friends!

The cabin is perfectly perched to give an incredible view of the Little Buffalo river and surrounding rolling hillsides. It had everything we could want to enjoy a relaxing and much needed holiday getaway, and was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip into Jasper to eat breakfast at the Blue Mountain Bakery & Cafe, and visit Emma’s Museum of Junk. We will most certainly be back!!

  • My husband and I traveled here for a couples getaway over Christmas and we got exactly what we wanted and more - a relaxing few days of alone time. All the amenities described are great and the kitchen was well supplied with equipment needed. We didn’t realize it was so far removed from pretty much everything, so be prepared to drive at least an hour off 40 and download offline Google maps. We would return again, but for longer to make the drive even more worth it.

If you feel like some comfort, kick back with your loved ones on the living areas plush sofas while the soothing warmth of the stone fireplace keeps everyone relaxed. Cook up a delectable meal in the well-equipped kitchen and take the meal back outdoors to dine among the views of Buckpoint and Grapevine Ridge. End the day on a high note by enjoying a restful slumber on the lush queen-sized bed in the master bedroom.
Very private and secluded, wilderness heaven! Hike our creek one mile (approximately 15 minutes) to the beautiful Buffalo River! Enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing/kayaking! When you reach the river, it’s also the Ozark Landing area around the small bend. Enjoy the view of the bluffs and the clear sparkling river! Along your hike, enjoy the rock formations and if the water is running, a waterfall that is approximately 6-7 feet tall. Our cabin is also conveniently located only 4 miles from Pruitt Landing!
  • Absolutely beautiful surroundings! The owner is also very nice. The cabin is very furnished with everything you need. We highly recommend it

    Ginger2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Secluded and beautiful surroundings of nature. You won’t regret staying here!

    Hailee2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The setting for this cabin was so peaceful and isolated- I loved it. I appreciated the call ahead with excellent directions. The rough, dirt road leading to the cabin is about 2 and a half miles but don't give up- sitting on the swing on the porch of the cabin makes it all worth it- the waterfall and mountain stream were so relaxing. We had bad weather- cold and rainy but that only made us want to return when we could enjoy it even more.

    Laura2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • A magical hideaway. Peaceful. Remote. Clean. Fully furnished. The running water was a constant soothing sound. A rare find!

    Jana2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely fantastic! Sparkling clean and completely secluded with minimal cell service (just what we wanted) but WiFi was available if you needed it. There were DVDs, board games and everything you could possibly need to aid in cooking! Just about 40 minutes from tons of outdoor activities in Ponca, the Ozark mountains and Buffalo national river/forest! The gravel road leading to the cabin was even fine for our smaller sedan, although with any bad weather crossing the low creeks could’ve been a problem! Thanks again, we can’t wait to come back!

    Mike2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet. Peaceful. Calm. Solitude. Comfortable. Well equipped. When looking for a place to “kick back”, this is it. Yet, it you need to stay connected for one reason or other, the WIFI works well. We had a great time. Highly recommend this get-a-way.

    Russ2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting on the creek! I hope to come back again soon.

    Justin2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Secluded. Serene. Relaxing. Quiet. If you want to get away from it all, this is the cabin for you! Our family enjoyed unplugging for a few days at this amazing gem in the woods. The kitchen is stocked with everything you'd need to feel at home. Beds are comfy (master bed is extremely firm). We enjoyed the board games and DVDs that are provided. The best part of this rental is the beautiful creek that runs right through the property. If you have kids, make sure they bring rain boots to go exploring!

  • Loved this cabin! Centrally located to hike both Jasper and Ponca. Very clean with personal touches throughout the cabin. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch wrapped up in a blanket drinking coffee and watching the cows graze in the mornings. A very peaceful and relaxing extended weekend. Highly recommend!

  • Jamie's Cabin is comfortable and just far enough from town to truly feel like you have gotten away from civilization. It is also within 30-40 minutes of good hiking trails in both Buffalo National River and Ozark National Forest. It has most everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We did get cellphone coverage at the cabin, albeit roaming. We came to get away so it was not an issue for us. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Clean quarters, comfortable furnishings & bedding, wooded mountain privacy yet close enough to town for forgotten items or strolling the shops. Easy access to the Buffalo River. Kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, dishes. There was even ice already in the freezer. The bunk beds were as comfortable for adults as they would be for children. Front porch comfy for conversations into the night. A lovely spot to get away and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Just what we were looking for. Fulfilled our needs.

    Sheila2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place is almost on top of a mountain and the views are great (which also helps with cell phone signal). The place is immaculate and well thought out for a family vacation. It is just far enough from town to be in the country , but close enough to run to the store in town if you need anything. The fire ring outside was a great hang out area for our family. We visited Kyles landing and stopped by Triple Falls . Also went to Paige falls and Broadwater hollow on the same day. All kid friendly hikes as we have a 3 and 7 year old. We also went to dine at Ozark Cafe on our way Hawksbill crag. Lost Valley was close at this time , as it is another kid friendly hike and cave our family loves. We got to see the Elk on Boxley valley before getting to Ponca. Mystic caverns were really close by , and definitely worth to check the formation. All in all this area is an Arkansas classic .

    Nestor2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • My group had a great time staying here. The cabin was comfy and the common areas were spacious, which was great for spending quality time together. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and cookware, so we were able to prepare lots of meals there. Located between Jasper and Harrison, it is a bit isolated, but that was perfect for us—the beautiful scenery and hiking nearby made that totally worth it. The cabin does not have internet access, though, so if you are planning on being in need of that during your trip, you may want to find a place in Jasper (about 10 minutes away) to frequent that has WiFi.

Our secluded cabin sits on a mountain steps from the Low Gap Cafe, near the Buffalo River, between the towns of Jasper & Ponca. The cabin has three bedrooms (2 upstairs each with a queen bed, one downstairs with 1 twin bed & twin bunkbed, 1 twin in entry, 2 futon sofas), two remodeled bathrooms, central AC/heat, WIFI, Roku TV, small deck, large dining room table and lots of windows. 2 miles from Steele Creek, 4 miles from Ponca, 5 miles from Kyle's Landing, 9 miles from Jasper.
This is the perfect place for a couple, family with kids, or a small family reunion or gathering with friends. It is the perfect base camp for a floating trip on the Buffalo River. Very quiet and peaceful. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking family meals and the dining room table is long enough for everyone. There are games, puzzles, movies, and books. We have Dish TV. The main floor of the cabin is the second floor. There you will find the kitchen, dining room, living room, two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, and a full bathroom. Downstairs is the laundry, a second smaller bathroom with a shower, an alcove, and the third bedroom with one twin bed and a twin bunkbed. There is an extra twin bed in the entry area. There are many windows and lots of sunlight. Relax on the deck and gaze up at many, many stars. Newton County is a dry county meaning no alcohol for sale so bring your own.
One of the best places to eat in Newton country is only a short walk down the dirt road -- the Low Gap Cafe. Walk the other way and you reach trails leading all the way to the Buffalo. Easiest access to the river is a short 2 mile drive down to Steele Creek, Ponca low water bridge and Kyle's Landing are also close. Jasper, the county seat of Newton, is where you will find gas, groceries, more restaurants, galleries, and the unique Emma's Museum of Junk (a must visit in Jasper). Float trip outfitters can be found in Ponca, including our favorite "Lost Valley Canoes". Be sure to visit the Elk center in Ponca and look for Elk in Boxley Valley.
  • Amazing cabin, so close to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch where we love to go rock climbing. Bright open space and love the beams! Relaxing and inspiring getaway. We’ll be back!

  • This place feels like home. It is very clean with updated kitchen cabinets, a Keurig, and updated bathrooms. It's within walking distance to the Low Gap Café which is one of our favorite places to eat. Also great hiking trails at the end of the road that you can take your dogs on.

  • What a wonderful place to stay! We loved the seclusion of this cabin - it was so peaceful and provided views of the surrounding mountains in the winter with the trees having lost their leaves. The location was perfect for us, with a number of spectacular hiking trails all within 30 min drive. Check in was super easy, and Maribel provided really detailed instructions and recommendations on nearby places of interest before we arrived. The cabin had everything we needed to cook dinner after a day out hiking, plus many other things we never used! (e.g. new toaster, lots of pots and pans, muffin tin, waffle maker!!). We also appreciated having a washer and dryer (which looked new). All in all, a great stay - thank you, Maribel!

  • Favorite lodging so far

    Lindsay2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We rented Mama Bear Cabin for a girl's weekend and it was perfect. The pictures don't do the place justice. It was clean, beautiful, and relaxing. Don't bother with paper plates and plastic forks, they have everything you need in the kitchen. The scenery was beautiful and felt remote despite the owners and Papa Bear being close by. My small Chevy Captiva (4 cylinder) couldn't make it up the steep gravel drive to get out but I called Diane and she sent a tractor to the rescue. We'll definitely be back just in a bigger vehicle!

  • Great cabin, nice location, and clean

    Eric2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the most beautiful, clean and well appointed cabins that we ever stayed in, with new appliances and a nice fresh wood smell throughout. It has all the amenities, including fire wood for the fire ring outside. The host came by briefly to greet us as we arrived, and was very helpful in suggesting that we pick some less known hiking trails from one of the books available at the cabin (we ended up on one of the nicest trails in the area, with multiple spectacular waterfalls, and we had it all to ourselves). I would strongly recommend staying at this cabin.

  • Perfect place to stay! Great location, very centralized for hiking or floating. Very clean and was exactly as was advertised. Very impressed, and would highly recommend staying here!

    Tristan2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is really nice. It’s just down the street from downtown Jasper so it’s very convenient. We came in the summer so unfortunately the river was too low to float in Jasper, we had to drive about 45 minutes to St Joe to find a floatable part of the Buffalo. It was still worth it, but something to consider. Check the river levels. The beds were super comfy and the view and privacy felt great at this spot. The road to get up to the cabin is a little rough, but should be doable for most cars. I am definitely looking forward to coming here again.

Tucked away in the Ozark Mountains, is your home away from home. Oak Mountain Cabin is warm and inviting, located just north of the Buffalo National River. If you're looking to get away and explore the Ozarks, then it can't get much better than this!
*Pool and Hot tub are Open!(3/1/2020)* Oak Mountain Cabin is a semi secluded 1000 square foot space, perfect for a family on vacation or a romantic getaway. Located only 4 miles away from the beautiful Buffalo River and 8 miles from Harrison. This space can sleep up to 6 guests comfortably. There is a queen bed in the loft, pull-out couch with a full mattress, built in twin bed, and a cot. There is a full kitchen including a refrigerator, electric stove, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker. The kitchen has everything you may need - plates, cups, mugs, wine glasses, silverware, cook ware, and utensils. There is also a dining table that seats four and a charcoal grill on the large front deck. After your exciting day of exploring the Ozarks, you can look forward to the large swimming pool and spa. Pool and hot tub are closed during the Winter (Late October/November - February). The fire place makes its easy to cozy up with a glass of wine and fully relax. If you're on a motorcycle, you'll enjoy the garage under the cabin to get your ride out of the weather. The Ozarks are well known for the amazing views, hiking, rock climbing, canoeing/kayaking, and of course, cruising the winding roads on motorcycles. We have many guide books in the cabin that you can borrow, including hiking trails, beautiful water falls, and the latest rock climbing guide book. Also worth mentioning, our cabin is pet friendly(with a $20 pet fee)! We love our two dogs and consider them family. Because of that, we wanted our place to allow pets. Affording our guests to travel with their pets. All we ask is that your pet is house trained and you keep them off the furniture. It is also a good idea to bring a kennel if you plan to leave them at the cabin. We Charge a $20 pet fee for our cleaners. We try our best to keep the pool and hot tub open as long as possible, depending on the weather. Opening them in March and both will be closed in late October! Our home is on the other side of the pool. The pool is completely private and will only be used by guests during their stay!
The cabin is on a short dirt road, and is very quiet and semi secluded. As I have stated before we live close to the cabin, but you have 100% privacy.
  • Great getaway! My 4 daughters and I enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, swimming pool, and cabin! There were plenty of extra towels, the location is secluded yet super close to gas stations/liquor store/caverns/hikes.....it’s the best of both worlds, but what sets it apart is def the pool space! It had an electric fireplace to keep the space warm, full kitchen along with necessary amenities to make our stay as warm and welcome as possible. It's a great location between the Ozark National Forest and Buffalo River if you want to spend a weekend getaway exploring!

  • Cute little place, extremely clean, and comfy. A great spot to relax.

    Paula2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house was everything we needed! Mrs. Vicki knew it was for my mother’s birthday and even put a happy birthday wreath on the door. Everything was very clean and it was the perfect distance between trails and Branson! Loved the fireplace outside and well maintained road. We will definitely want to stay here again!

    Chelsea2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki was quick to respond to messages. The place is clean and comfortable, and the location is great! My family of four enjoyed the weekend stay.

    Vera2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki’s Cottage is perfect! Just the right amount of space for 4 people! Beds are very confortable, kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking items needed, and the land is beautiful! Easy to get to Harrison for some shopping, the Ozarks for some hiking, and to Branson for some touring! We had a great time! Vicki is super helpful and very fast to respond! She helped us with everything we asked and more! She gave plenty of local tips of places to eat, things to do, etc. We loved it!

    Caleb2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was incredibly clean and we'll put together as a whole. It provided character and aesthetic which really showed the host's personality. To top it off is the location which is close enough for going on an adventure in every direction. It's a bargain of a place to stay if you plan on getting away from the constraints of everyday life in Arkansas.

    Jonathan2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • We choose this place for a few primary reasons. It was affordable, had a kitchen and shower, and was a little over thirty minutes from Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, once you are comfortable driving a little faster on the twisty roads. There were four of us, two adults and two kids. The bunk beds were perfect for the kids and my wife and I slept on the pull out couch. It was super clean, lot so nice little touches to make it even easier to stay. We are rock climbers but my wife isn't a big fan of tent camping, so while you can rent cabins and Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, they can be booked, are more expensive, and you can't get a refund if the weather looks like it's going to be bad. It was about 40 minutes to the ranch the first time we drove and about 35 minutes each time after. We will most definitely use this place as our home base when we come down for extended climbing trips.

  • The cottage is just as described- very cozy, with everything you need to get away. Less than 30 minutes from several amazing hikes. Loved the fire pit.

This cute and secluded little cabin is situated in a beautiful nature setting, by itself and surrounded by woods. An on property hiking trail passes by the cabin and leads down to a pretty creek bottom. The cabin (a 400 sqft Pinnacle 'Montana" model) is equipped with a central A/C and heating system and has a small porch and deck to enjoy the outdoors.
  • This cabin is a must-stay in Arkansas! The surrounding scenery is gorgeous. The cabin itself is well kept, clean and comfortable. It is close enough to town for activities, and far enough away for restful relaxation. I highly recommend staying here.

    Joshua2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time visiting NW Arkansas. We like to find places a little off the beaten path and Peter's place "Hickory" was the perfect fit. Situated off a dirt road with beautiful scenery. The cabin was very clean and the working wifi was a nice surprise. Would definitely like to go back someday!

    Sean2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded. Super clean. Deer in our yard both mornings. WiFi worked great. Literally no complaints. Will return.

    Brian-Becky2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This was my 2nd time staying in one of Peter’s cabins, but 1st time in the Hickory. I love coming to stay!! It’s incredibly clean, comfy, the views are amazing and anything I need is there. Peter is always quick to reply if there are questions. Just a beautiful experience! Can’t wait to be back!!

    Cari2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying here! It’s a great cabin for a weekend getaway.

    Cassidy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little cabin near some good trails, with a fire pit and nearby creek. Very quiet and comfortable.

    Stephen2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to relax. Everything was the way it was described. The hiking was a little farther away than we thought. We enjoyed Lost Valley and Haskville Craig. But well worth the drive. Bring your camp chairs for the fire pit. Great couples getaway! We will see you again Peter!

    Rhonda2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A great small cabin. Come enjoy a relaxing weekend in the mountains. Every morning we woke up to a field of deer. It was quiet, peaceful, and the host replied to any questions very quickly.

Comfort and convenience just one mile from Jasper. The Bunkhouse features dormitory style sleeping arrangement which most families and groups find agreeable. With a 20' X 40' covered pavilion overlooking a large lawn and the Little Buffalo River, this is an ideal place to stay.

  • My friends and I stayed here for a climbing trip and it was perfect. They had everything we needed and were very accommodating! We will certainly stay again when we're in town. This place is great for a group of people looking to have a spot in the heart of the Ozarks.

    TomHenry2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Bunkhouse met our needs very well as my son and I used it as a home base while we spent the weekend hiking different spots in the area. Regrettably, we didn't actually meet the owner. We have heard such nice things about her. I can say she offers a nice, basic place. It's just about what the name implies. No frills. It is very clean however. All the basics are provided plus some nice extras. We did appreciate the location close to town, too. Would recommend this for a family, a few guys, or a few women who are in the area for any of the nearby activities.

    Keith2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thelma’s place was exactly what we needed to enjoy a group trip! Wonderful porch area to sit outside and enjoy a meal outside. Great kitchen area to cook and sit around inside when it was too cold outside. The place was clean when we arrived and easy to find. Right next to downtown Jasper and a short drive from Horseshoe canyon ranch.
