  • I stayed at Laura and Chad's place for a month while in Del Norte. It was right in town with everything in walking distance. The apartment had everything I needed plus some. It was clean and cozy. It was nice to have a w/d right in the building free of charge. I was worried about noise being that it was above a restaurant and on a main street, but I never heard anything while I was there. Very private and quiet. I had no issues coming and going. Would have stayed another month but they had already booked it out!

  • This is really the perfect air bnb! Great location in town with lots of cool things to do nearby. Immaculate and has all of the amenities of home. Del Norte (and the surrounding area) is a under rated gem.

    Emily2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint space off of Main Street. There were many restaurants in the discreet vicinity. we had a very comfortable night sleep and would consider this place again if ever we travel through that direction again.

    Karen2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • A very convenient spot on the way West and although small the town has good amenities and a choice of eateries. The apartment is clean and well equipped.

Come join us for a getaway in our cozy cabin near the Rio Grande on a centennial cattle ranch. Whether you want to enjoy your stay trophy trout fishing, skiing at Wolf Creek, climbing at Penitnete Canyon, mountain biking over Indiana Pass, or just relaxing in the cabin watching the working ranch around you, we know you will enjoy the peace, quiet and beauty of this little slice of heaven along the Rio Grande! When planning, keep in mind that our grass-fed beef is available for purchase!
Beautiful little cabin with exquisite meadow views down to the banks of the Rio Grande. There's a full kitchen for making yummy meals, and a grill outside for summer BBQ needs. Downstairs you'll find a queen bed in the sunny front room, a full pull-out sofa (brand new and comfy) in the living room, a full bath with a shower, a gas fireplace and a TV with an Amazon fire stick and wi-fi. There is also a loft (the "second bedroom") with two fold-out memory foam mattress, but access is via a ladder. We feel like this cabin best fits two to three people, but four good friends or a couple with kids might not feel too cramped. If you're a cozy group and don't mind sharing one bathroom, this cabin can comfortably sleep up to four people.
Located 7 miles west of Del Norte and east of South Fork amidst vast meadows and a small family ranching community.
  • This place is GREAT and the loft is so cool! You will not find a better view for this price. Do not forget the try the organic grass-fed beef -You won't find a better burger around. The hosts are incredibly polite and accommodating. The river access is absolutely stunning.

  • This is a fantastic little cabin. Tons of privacy, really gorgeous views, and tons of space for us. It was super clean and comfy with all the amenities one could ask for. It's location is super easy to get to and is in such close proximity to Wolf Creek Ski Area, it was totally worth it. The hosts were so kind and left all sorts of extras inside. We will definitely be back one day!!

  • Cute little space across from the Music venue. You just may not realize it from the outside (it's inside a big blue building). A great location for a base while exploring the San Luis Valley.

    Debbie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! One of our best Airbnb experiences! Don’t be fooled by the outside of this large warehouse type building that this studio is located in...what lies beyond the front door is a thoughtful oasis! Clinton and Merika’s hospitality is second to none! They thought of everything when they decided to make this space into an Airbnb. It is a well laid out, spacious studio on the main street downtown, with walking access to all you could want. And across the street is a great little artist venue that often hosts live music called Wildwood Sounds. The space is comfortable, well stocked in the kitchen, and surprisingly quiet for the location. Thank you for such attention to detail and generosity with some bonus goodies left for us! We could easily have stayed for a week and felt right at home, but sadly it was only one night. We also greatly appreciated the ability for our well behaved dog to stay here with us! These hosts will be “airbnb super hosts” in no time! They already are in our book. We will stay here again without question!

    Jody2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Location is good. Parking was right in front of the place. Place is actually really quiet considering its right by the stop light/ gas station. Had everything I needed for an extended stay. Only hiccup during my stay was the water pipes froze (no fault of Clinton and Merika) - they were quick to get someone out to look at it, however, I had to get a hotel for a night. They offered to reimburse me for this and then put me in another air b n b if the city couldn't fix the pipes by the next day. Luckily the city was quick to fix the issue. Other than that Clinton and Merika were great and I would stay there again if ever I'm back in Del Norte.

The Tiny House is in Del Norte, which offers access to almost every kind of recreation Colorado has to offer. It is really a tiny house/four season rv capable of operating completely off the grid with solar power and propane, it is super insulated and easily heated in temperatures down to 20degrees below zero. It is great for a couple, small family, or solo adventurer's.
The Tiny Home is located on the edge of Del Norte. You are within walking distance of the Rio Grande where you can raft and fish although to rent rafting or fishing gear you would want to go to South Fork twenty minutes away. Wolf Creek Ski Resort is approximately a forty five minute drive. Sand Dunes National Park is an hour to hour and a half away...on the way home from the dunes the hot springs pool is a great place to relax! Twenty minutes from Del Norte is Penitente Canyon where you can hike, mountain bike, or rock climb. Opportunities to ride ATV/Utvs are everywhere as well as hunting and fishing come and enjoy all of southern Colorado. The Del Norte area was once home to the Old Spanish Trail. This trail was a major trade route running between Santa Fe, New Mexico and Los Angeles, California. Del Norte was originally settled by Europeans who were moving into the area from North New Mexico in the late 1850s. In 1872, Del Norte incorporated as a municipality. By the mid-1870’s, prospectors found the nearby San Juan Mountains rich with gold and silver deposits. As many mining claims were registered, Del Norte transformed into the supply base and financial center at the west end of San Luis Valley. When Rio Grande County was formed in 1874, Del Norte became its County seat. During Del Norte’s booming years, the population swelled to over 10,000 people. The Town featured an opera house, library, saloons and dance halls. In 1883, a man by the name of George Darby established the Presbyterian College of the Southwest. This college also had a church and a dormitory as well as several farmlands to support it. The college also boasted the only telescope west of the Mississippi – built as an observatory on the summit of Mt. Lookout. Unfortunately, the college burned down in 1893. In the final part of Del Norte’s boom years, Del Norte was proposed to become the state capital – it failed by one vote.
There is a grocery store nearby, a car wash/laundromat, and across town is a family dollar. Some restaurants that Del Norte has to offer are the Historic Windsor Hotel, if wood fired pizza is your thing...Three Barrel Brewery is a great place, The Mystic Biscuit is a quaint little restaurant that offers just about anything you might be hungry for! Other shops to visit downtown include Haefelis Honey where you can buy locally grown honey, Columbine flower and gift shop ( where they have a few tables where you can sit and enjoy coffee with a cinnamon roll or fried pie), or Kristi Mountain Sports. Also visit https://www.highcountrycampsusa.com/ just a few miles out of town where these tiny homes are built.
  • This place is a find! Super cozy. Feels comfortable. Is super clean - quiet and serene.... I will definitely be back.

  • Hi Erin and Kyle We had a great time in this tiny house. Very pretty, clean, comfortable. My kids loved the hammock: very original. Little touches: recipes (very good pancakes!) I recommend it to everyone! Great experience! It makes me want to propose a tiny house also in Airbnb once back in France! Thank you Kyle and Erin Anne-Laure, Pascal, Eva, Louise and Raphaël

  • Cozy little place with lots of thoughtful touches and a great location between the Sand Dunes and the scenic South Fork area. Hosts were quick and willing to ensure we had the best stay possible. :)

    Mary2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was perfect for our family of three. We stayed here for the main attraction of the Sand Dunes. Del Norte is a quiet town that is close to the San Juans and the Sand Dunes so it made sense to stay here. The house was clean and it was easy to use the amenities. The composting toilet is something to get used to, but it is a great alternative given the uniqueness of the house. The water pressure was a little lacking so showering was usually done quick. Our daughter loved the swing and the fact that she had a little cubby bedroom to sleep in. The gas range was quick for cooking and we were able to make dinner one night easily. We have recommended the tiny house to others who like to visit the area. Thanks!

    Camden2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Six stars for this tiny-tastic stay! Great efficient space, great lighting, personal touches that make it feel like a home and homemade goodies and much thoughtfulness put into this tiny house with lots of character. And the composting toilet makes me feel even better about leaving a healthy footprint. We ate and drank at the local brewery recommended and it was delicious. The Philly cheesesteaks pizza and the peach brew were delicious. Oh, and the local honey shop is amazing. Small but friendly town. We also brought our toddler and she loved the swing inside the tiny home 😊. We came for the dunes and the drive was not bad at all. Left at about 7 am and got there just in time for the visitor center to open and get the day started. Like I said, SIX STARS.

    Brooke2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful and clean space. We had a lovely time staying here! They answered all our questions quickly, the tiny house is spotless, and it was exactly what we needed.

  • The most incredible stay my family has had. Beautiful Cabin with everything you need for an amazing stay. Expect to see lots of birds on the porch in the mornings where you can see the sunrise over the mountains. If it’s too cold out, their is DVDs and a fire stick to find a show to watch by the fireplace and tons of games like monopoly, sorry, and uno. It has a lovely shower and a nice washer and dryer. Also a adorable little sled for when it’s snowing that my 8 and 4 year olds enjoyed using. You have an amazing view from every room in the cabin. The beds are firm but very comfortable. You will love the peacefulness of it all.

Enjoy true peace and quiet at our cozy backcountry yurt. One-mile gentle hike on grassy forest road. Bring only a sleeping bag and food. Everything else is provided: beds, pillows, all cooking/eating utensils, woodstove, solar lights.
The Pass Creek Yurt is located in the Rio Grande National Forest at 10, 250'. From the Yurt you have access to the Continental Divide Trail, as well as miles of forest roads to hike, bike, or run. There are two beautiful adjacent creeks from which you get your water. Alberta Lake is 1.5 miles away where you can swim or fish.
Great for families and kids. There is lots of room to pitch tents around the Yurt. So you can accommodate more than 6 people in the summer. In the Rio Grande National Forest. Private. Beautiful. Secluded. Sunny. Wild flowers. Two beautiful creeks. Great access to trail running and mountain biking, and training at altitude.
  • The yurt was an amazing place to escape Denver for a weekend and celebrate my birthday! Sandy gave us several options to access the yurt due to the amount of snow on the ground. This helped us better prepare for our weekend and made our hike in a little easier had we not known! It was a beautiful area and a truly memorable experience!

  • Rustic beautiful quiet. Cows, wild turkeys, deer, and lots of solitude.

    Amy2018-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy's place was spectacular. Remote. Quiet. Perfect for R&R or tons of adventure on foot or mountain bike. We were up late playing games under the solar lights in the yurt. We gazed at the constellations. We beheld gorgeous mountain wildflowers. After full days hike we hit the beds which slept all 6 of us rather comfortably. Maps for hiking were a plenty and Sandy provided great direction to trails in the area. Instructions on water filtration from the stream nearby was clear and simple. The camp kitchen had all we needed for prepping our meals. The solar shower bag was warm on the deck when we arrived as were 3 IPA beers left by the yurt gods for our good pleasure! Can't wait to visit the Pass Creek Yurt again. Thank you Sandy!

    Lee2018-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely LOVED the yurt and the beautiful location..it can't be beat! Truly a great escape from the busy world. I appreciated how responsive Sandy was to my communication and her flexibility with letting us add two more people to our reservation. The yurt was so comfortable and cozy and we had EVERYTHING we needed right down to the dog beds. There were 6 adults and 3 dogs and we didn't need anything becuase every detail had been thought about. We had the BEST time enjoying the sunshine, wildflowers, hikes, stars, great meals, lots of laughter, lots of games, and great company! Make sure you take the time to hike around the area becuase there is so much to see...especially Alberta Lake. We had the entire lake to ourselves on the 4th of July and it was spectacular! We also had several deer that would greet us in the mornings and say goodnight in the evenings....along with many beautiful varieties of birds. Sandy was an amazing host and we hope to return to the Pass Creek Yurt soon!

    Christy2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt was spacious and clean with comfortable bunks and interior lighting thanks to the solar panel. The wildflowers were blooming everywhere and it was so nice to just hike out from the yurt to enjoy them. So peaceful there!

    Kym2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • A fabulous yurt in a spot with unlimited recreational opportunities. We'll be back often! Live the solitude.

  • The cabin was very clean and comfortable, easy to get to and close to the town. Melissa & Steve communicated well and were very helpful.

  • Great place, and wonderful hosts. Would highly recommend, the queen small loft is very tiny, and would need to be small and agile to utilize this room. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. The cabin is loaded with everything you need for your home away from home!

  • No surprises!! Our 3rd stay in less than a year. Always super clean and comfortable. We love the location and privacy. Melissa and steve make sure we have everything we need. The pine house is our home away from home. We will be back.

  • Melissa and Steve's place...aka the Del Norte Pine House, was one of my best, if not THE best, Airbnb experiences I've had, and I do a lot of these each year due to my unusual travel/tour schedule. The Pine House is totally private with a great hiking trail that starts practically on the premises. An easy walk through the neighborhood takes you to town in a few minutes. The house is spacious and has a stylish yet rustic feel with beautifully crafted wooden floors, walls and ceilings throughout. The bathroom is large with a huge "walk-in" shower. There's a full and well-stocked kitchen, a cozy living room space, comfy bedrooms and a most unusual and appealing loft that houses a third bedroom space. The view from the bedrooms and kitchen overlooks a lovely vista that's accessible by foot and full of fragrant sagebrush, flowers and mountain/desert foliage. I needed a quiet place to do creative work and retreat and this was the perfect option for me. Melissa and Steve, though we never met in person, were kind, attentive and flexible to my needs and made my stay here a memorable one. Can't wait to come back through!

    Matt2019-08-17T00:00:00Z

    Patricia2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time staying at Mellow Mood Lodge. It is a tastefully renovated motel to rest and recuperate in. It is a dog friendly accommodation which is SO amazing. When I was here I felt like I was staying in a little wintery, snow village. I loved that even though I was staying at a motel, I could still just text the front desk and they were quick to assist without any face to face confrontation. (This is amazing when your tired from boarding and need something but don’t want to be social 🤣) The room was meticulously clean and the bed was very cozy. I like how simple and straightforward this booking was. Thank you Mellow Moon! 🌚

  • Everything was clean and accurately described. Del Norte is a lovely small town with good food, but limited coffee choices. Having great coffee onsite was why I first chose to stay here and I would stay here again.

  • We came here for a portion of our honeymoon around June 6th and ran into issues with the Rio Grande flooding from excessive snow melt causing us to have to relocate for safety reasons. Luckily Christy and the VaCasa team came to our rescue and moved us to a different Airbnb in Pagosa Springs so we could continue to relax and enjoy our time there. While the flooding wasn’t ideal, the way they handled the situation quickly and easily put our minds at ease. As an additional bonus, we explored an area we didn’t plan to and found many beautiful hiking trails and fun things to do near Pagosa. The original cabin we stayed in was gorgeous and very clean and private and in a beautiful location, it’s a shame we couldn’t stay there longer, but ultimately we still had a great time and we appreciate how Christy went above and beyond to help us have a fun, memorable, and safe experience

Located in South Fork s new Tiny Home Resort, the "Honeymoon" Cabin was completely remodeled to include a fully-stocked, modern kitchen, reclaimed antique floors, unique barn doors and beautiful rustic cabin decor. The cabin sleeps 4 to 5 and includes all kitchen and bath amenities.
We purchased this beautiful property in 2016 and our first project was the honeymoon cabin. The locals tell us that this cabin, once part of the BAR Cattle Ranch, was used as a honeymoon cabin for the cowboys working the ranch! We took the cabin down to the foundation and completely rebuilt it saving the rustic and original logs. We used salvage tin from the old barn to face the ceiling and installed antique reclaimed wood for the floor and barn doors. We love the combination of rustic and modern and you'll see that in the kitchen. Leathered granite, stainless steel appliances and knotty wood cabinets complete the look. You will love the warm and cozy feel of this cabin, while enjoying its beauty and modern finishes!
The cabin is located just east of South Fork on Hwy 160 and borders national forest. You can leave directly from the property on your ATV or snowmobile and head to numerous trails around South Fork. On-site coffee bistro and easy Hwy 160 access! Find us on Facebook "Tiny Timbers Coffee Bistro"

This beautiful house is located in the outskirts of the small town of Del Norte, CO. The house itself sits on a small river side ranch mainly used for grazing cattle. With roughly 80 acres of wide open fields, and nearly a 1/4 mile of river front property, the views do not disappoint. The Riverside Ranch House is located not far from local mountain biking/ hiking and OHV trails for any one with recreational interests. Also, take advantage of your own private fishing spot on the Rio Grande River!
  • Great place to stay and relax would definitely recommend for any skiers or snowboarders out there as it is fairly close to Wolf Creek which is what we spent our weekend doing

  • There’s a lot of land to venture out and do stuff. Basketball court in barn is awesome. Ping pong and foosball table add another thing to do while out there. Really open house, lots of space. Perfect for a getaway or party.

  • This place is really cool! Super spacious, nice decor and amenities. Very cool property...although the weather was cold and windy so we didn't get to really see all the property had to offer. The spaciousness of the property and the house really let you feel disconnected from the crazy hustle-n-bustle of city life...which is very good for us because we live in Denver. Some nice food and a brewery a few minutes away in Del Norte. We didn't get to meet Britney, but her family was very nice and explained all we needed to know. We will stay again when we make this particular trip again! Thanks!

    Casey2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great house! We loved staying there, for a trip to visit the Sand Dunes. The house is spacious, with great amenities: the sleeping areas are wonderful (comfy beds, multiple bedrooms/bathrooms), and the entire property is an amazing experience. It’s close to the river and several good restaurants and the hosts greet you when you show up—highly recommend this house, and we definitely hope to be back if we are in the area.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Laura and Chad’s place. The condo was clean, and had all necessities. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness. We traveled with our children, and we saw that they had baby shampoo, a first aid kit, and an inflatable mattress in case we needed it. Quick responses and very accurate/specific instructions. We definitely recommend.

  • This cabin was so much fun! From the hot tub, to a decent grill, to the creek and pond right down the road. We were able to catch two rainbow trout in the pond! The housekeeper lives close by, and brought us more wood for the stove within an hour of us requesting it. It was great! The inside was SO clean! I’ve never stayed at an Airbnb so clean and well kept. The kitchen could use a little more supplies, but we had extra blankets and pillows, plenty of towels, and sat by that cozy wood stove basically our whole stay. Check in is so simple. South Fork is a hidden gem. Definitely take the Ore mine driving tour!

  • If you are looking for a secluded cabin in South Fork, Colorado, but yet easy to find and easily accessible, the Vacasa Colorado Coyote Cabin is the place for you. Our stay in their "Homey" Coyote Cabin in South Fork, Colorado was wonderful, and the cleanliness and characteristics of their beautiful cabin exceeded our expectations! Vacasa Colorado was easy to work with and their communications were responsive and informative. Their Coyote Cabin was very easy to find, but yet the cabin's location is so secluded that it provided our own private "peaceful" sanctuary in the Colorado wilderness. With the South Fork Rio Grande river just steps away and with the beautiful surroundings of the forest and mountains, it provided exactly the part of Colorado we were looking to experience! Jeff

Stay at an old fashioned cowboy guest ranch amid the Colorado Rockies. Help gather the eggs or pick vegetables from the garden and watch the herd of horses gallop in from the range. Hang out in lodge and read a book or ask for directions to a nearby ghost town. The ranch is located near dozens of neat places making it a perfect home base to plan trips out of.
The High Plains is a unique ranch located in the San Luis Valley surrounded 360 with beautiful mountains. The Ranch was built to look like an old western town and preserve that pioneer spirit that settled the west. As such, it is off grid. There is solar lighting but since power is limited please be aware that there are no outlets in the rooms. Charging of cell phones and laptops can be done during the day when the sun is out to replenish the solar system. We do not have land line telephone either, however cell reception and 3G is not too bad. We are huge Animal lovers so please know that there are friendly dogs and cats around. They will not have access to your private room.
The San Luis Valley is not only full of natural beauty but also is also historically rich. The town of San Luis for which the valley is named is the oldest town in Colorado founded in 1851. It is now well known for the "Stations of The Cross" catholic shrine that rises on the hill above the town. On the plains near there, descendants of the original Spanish horses roam wild and free as mustangs. Antonito is home to the oldest church in Colorado, Our Lady of Guadeloupe Parish church was build in 1858. Also parts of Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade was filmed on the Cumbres and Toltec narrow gauge train that goes from there to Chama New Mexico. In Antonito there is also a house that was filmed at the first part of the movie. Not far from the ranch into the beautiful mountains west of us are several little mining towns from the days of Doc Holiday and Bat Masterson. Most are now abandoned ghost towns however the town of Platoro is a cute little tourist stop with one restaurant on the beautiful Conejos river were some good fishing can be found. There is a beautiful drive from there through the mountains the road will meet up with scenic hwy 160 right above the town of South Fork. If you don't want to go on all the back roads you can of course head out from the ranch toward Monte Vista and catch hwy 160 there. We really enjoy driving up 160 over Wolf Creek pass to the town of Pagosa Springs which is the the worlds deepest hot mineral springs! A few hours in the hot springs will have you feeling ten years younger! The Famous cowboy town of Creede is also nearby. Creed is a neat place to visit for many reasons. It has a mining museum that is underground in one of the old closed mines. Creed is also where Bob Ford the man who killed Jessie James was killed himself. It is a tourist spot now with lots of little shops, and a yearly chocolate festival! For those of you who are more adventurous and like a challenge, Wheeler Geologic Area a little ways from Creede, should hit the spot. One of the most unusually places in Colorado Wheeler has some beautiful rock formations that justify the difficulty of access. A little closer to the ranch are the Great National Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls. Sand Dunes are always a favorite with children during early summer when the stream is running and they can build sand castles. Zapata is beautiful year round either with Ice or cascading water. Just a few miles from there is Fort Garland, the only original army fort from Indian days still standing in the state of Colorado. The fort now houses a cute museum but back in the day the famous Indian fighter Kit Carson was stationed there. Across the street from the fort is the White Mountain Trading Post a quaint kid friendly museum and gift shop with the largest selection of handmade and Native American goods and jewelry. They also offer horse rides. There is no way everything about the area can be mentioned here so if you have a specific interest feel free to contact me for more about kayaking, hiking or fishing!
  • Such a peaceful and friendly place. We enjoyed our visit here!

    Jared2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly magical. Imagine Westworld...minus the robots! The people are warm and very welcoming, the farm animals keep you entertained, and the view and night sky keep you mesmerized! The FOOD! OMG! The FOOD! Fresh eggs from chickens right out side, fluffy pancakes and if you are lucky to stay for dinner you won’t be disappointed. You’ll make great friends! I promise! So take yourself off the beaten path and experience High Plains Drift Inn.

    Nic2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had a blast staying at the ranch with Eleesha and her family. They are truly welcoming and kind people. They have lots of tips to offer to visit the area. I definitely recommend the place if you want a stay outside of the modern world and connecting with life!

"WOW! What a beautiful space. So roomy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Will absolutely stay again. THANK YOU!"......Tomas, Sept., 2018. 2000 sq ft penthouse above the Golden Fleece Antiques in downtown historic building, has large kitchen and bathroom with shower and marble tub. Includes 2 queen beds, hide-a-bed couch and long couch. Close to mountain trails, the Rio Grande, excellent restaurants. Wolf Creek ski area 35 miles west, Great Sand Dunes National Park 50 miles east.
The Golden Fleece Antiques has been in Del Norte since 1975, and the Shabby Chic Antique Loft where you'll be staying is situated above. The cut stone building faces south, offering nice views and lots of light. High ceilings keep it cool in summer. Within walking distance are 7 restaurants & coffee shops, a grocery store, retail shops, auto repair garages, convenience stores, liquor stores, and a bank, a drug store, the post office, various churches and only 10 minutes to trails and fishing.
Del Norte, a town of 1,500, is the county seat of Rio Grande County and situated on the banks of the Rio Grande. It's also billed as "The Gateway to the San Juans" - early on it was a supply point for the upriver mining districts. Also a ranching and farming community. Lots of fishing, hiking, bicycling, camping, hunting, skiing, even golfing, to be found. Petroglyphs, quarries, old cemeteries, agate sites, ruins also. Del Norte Public Library, Rio Grande Museum and U.S. Forest Service very helpful.
  • Great location across from the brewery and a few blocks from the Rio Grande River park.

  • Gita and Mark obviously care very much about your comfort, and their future guests comfort. The Valley makes it difficult to find a place with good value and quality comfort like at their home. Right in town, very easy and convenient. Responsive, and helpful. As someone from the area who has family come to town quite a bit, I will ONLY be using Gita and Marks home for now on. The price is worth it, and will get a better deal if you can make your trip longer through Air Bnb. Was well worth adding on a week or two, we saved quite a bit. Thank you 100 times for your hospitality and warm energy!

    Juliette2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The space was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. No TV, 100's of books, and plenty of space. There are a few restaurants and bars downstairs and a liquor store across the street. We left the loft for maybe a total of an hour for the 48 we were there. Mark was a great host and even showed us around the antique store after hours. If you are looking for a fun and romantic space for a couple's weekend, then this is perfect.

    Mike2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible! It was huge, located centrally, and had the coolest decor. The bed was super comfy and the sunlight was a nice touch and I actually woke up without an alarm. We'd definitely stay here again.

    Celia2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very fast response and clean.

    Joseph2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you have a taste for the eclectic, this place is for you! The apartment is huge, though it consists of only two rooms, plus an oversized bathroom with a double sink and separate tub and shower. The living area features several "gathering places" and could accommodate a crowd. The furnishings likely came from the antique store downstairs and are tastefully arranged. While obviously well used, everything was scrubbed clean. There is also a queen bed and a futon in the main room, in addition to the queen bed and sofa in the adjoining bedroom. The kitchen is placed in the middle of it all and acts as a sort of room divider. The front wall has numerous windows with window seats, and the wall is lined with bookshelves filled with books. Gita and Mark are very gracious hosts, and we only wish we could have stayed a little longer.

    Edith2019-09-13T00:00:00Z

  • Highly recommend anything on Tina’s property. She and her daughters were so wonderful and responsive. We hit some awful weather and ended up getting in 2 hours late and she was there to welcome us with a smile. The cabin was so adorable- super comfortable beds, extra linens and towels and a full kitchen with a large refrigerator and freezer. The place was spotless and even had a small electric fireplace which was such a great cozy touch.

We've been online for 5 years now and have never charged a cleaning fee! We are consistently the highest rated airbnb in the area. Come and see! This authentic historic 1858 ranch property offers an artistic local cabin with the Pinos Creek in the backyard and extraordinary views of Indian Head Mountain and the Rio Grande. Experience local wildlife and privacy on 10 acres, west of Del Norte.
The cabin is located on one of the first Hispanic settlements in the San Luis Valley next to the adobe hacienda built by Luis Montoya in 1858. There are 20 willow trees which he planted still thriving on the property. A long barn divides the cabin from the two other houses, the hacienda and the potato cellar. The name 'Antique Farm' refers to the time when antiques were once sold here. We hope to add some of the antique charm to the cabin and surroundings. There is a full-size bed in the downstairs room, a fold-out couch in the living room, a full bed and two twins in the upstairs loft, as well as a gas fireplace, and a kitchen with basic appliances.
Del Norte, on the west side of the San Luis Valley, offers great access to summer and winter vacationing possibilities. The cabin is 32 miles away from the Wolf Creek Ski Area, the snowiest slope in the lower forty-eight. Since the ski area does not have lodging on site, Del Norte is the best place to lodge with its great restaurants, including an award-winning brewery and pizzeria (Three Barrel Brewing Co.), a fine dining establishment (The Windsor Hotel), a classic diner (Boogie's), and a Mexican restaurant (Chavolos). Not bad for a town with a population of 2000!

  • The most amazing property I've ever seen, completely private with outstanding views and the house itself is perfect as well. It felt like staying at an HGTV dream home. We will definitely be back.

  • I cannot speak highly enough about our stay! Stan and Michel were very gracious hosts, leaving us s'mores supplies and a bottle of wine. It was easy to coordinate our arrival and stay via phone, email and text. The land was astoundingly beautiful. The house was impeccably decorated and completely off grid. It's a very special place and I'm so grateful we got to stay there. If you've got a big group of people this would be an excellent place to stay. There's a great fire pit, plenty of land and privacy. There's huge boulders that were fun to explore. The sunrise, sunsets and stars were a marvel. I'm looking forward to staying here again sometime.

  • We just love The Belmont Del Norte. The home is wonderful. We love how comfortable it is; it was designed with that in mind. I think the adults favorite room is the kitchen, we can prepare meals and gather there to socialize. The kids love the loft and exploring all of the rooms. The seclusion is wonderful too; watching the birds and just staring off into the mountains and into space to see the milky way is truly missed when we return to our city life.

  • My friends and I had a great time at the ranch! Everyone we met was welcoming and helpful. The room was cozy and comfortable. We were able to leave some items in the communal area, cooler and food items to free up some space in our room. Breakfast was homemade and amazing. Please ask for local suggestions on what to do and see.

  • Melissa was the best air BnB host I've ever had. She went out of her way to come by and bring a HDMI chord that I had forgotten at home and needed to give presentations. The house was clean and spacious. Even more so than the pictures are able to show. Having the river right outside the backyard made for blissful mornings with coffee on the porch! Wonderful place for a big group!

  • We had a great time at the cabin. We held a large family Thanksgiving there and it was the perfect space for all of us to gather. The kitchen was great for preparing meals and there was plenty to keep the kids busy downstairs. Skiing was close by as well. We will definitely return the next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended!
