  • I grew up in Jasper, and have always been in love with this house. It is restored and preserved beautifully. Our stay was wonderful, and Norma’s hospitality is unmatched. Until next time...

    Kerri And Steven2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The location is superb. The building and comforts are very impressive. And Norma is a very kind, courteous host. The entire experience is really quite romantic!

    Ryan2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the River House! The house was beautiful and clean, the hosts are some of the kindest people I've ever met, and breakfast was delicious. We look forward to coming back!

    Heidi2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at River House and wish we could have stayed longer! The historic home has been completely redone. Our room was huge, cool, and comfy, and had a gorgeous new bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. We had dinner on the porch off the guest kitchen. In the morning, Norma served us an amazing continental breakfast. We plan to return when we have more time to enjoy the rocking chairs on the porch and have been recommending the inn to our friends and family.

  • A lovely Victorian south a delightful host. Everything was very comfy.

    David2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Central location to downtown Jasper! Very large bedroom with new private bathroom, and Norma is a friendly, sociable host. Very clean accommodations and a comfortable stay!

    Leonard2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Norma's bed and breakfast was great. Very clean and well done. Hospitality was excellent. She was available for any questions or concerns we had. Breakfast was simple and very tasty also.

    Samuel2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • This beautifully-restored 1910's home carries both dignified charm & history. Our experienced B & B host, Norma, made us feel welcomed & cared for. The house was not only gorgeous, but pristine clean & peacefully quiet. We had a nicely-apportioned room up the stately staircase & slept soundly in a very comfortable king-sized bed. My favorite consideration was the large, restored, 110-year-old claw-bathtub featured in our nicely modern bathroom (with a nice modern shower as well). Bring your bubble bath & plan to soak! Blessed air conditioning, a big TV & a delicious Continental breakfast made this visit even nicer. Our host was knowledgeable about local history (Abe Lincoln visited the restored mill across the street when he was a boy in the 1820s) & replied quickly to our reservation questions. The surrounding little city is quaint, amazingly clean & fun to visit. You can't go wrong with this spectacular home & host!

Located high on a hill overlooking the historic French Lick Resort and Spa. Charming Craftsman style home, walking distance to the hotel, casino, and downtown French Lick restaurants and shopping. Short drive to Patoka Lake. Well behaved, furry friends welcome.* (see 'other notes' for details)
You can sit on the front porch swing and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. Then you can walk downtown and check out the unique shops. Walk over to explore the French Lick Hotel. Visit the Casino. Then take the trolley to West Baden and enjoy the beauty of the gardens and the dome. Have a nice dinner in any number of restaurants in French Lick. At the end of the day, enjoy sitting on the back deck and relaxing. A great place to enjoy your visit to French Lick!
This home is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. It is on a steep hill. If you walk down to the bottom of the hill, you are in the town of French Lick.
  • Julia and the house were both wonderful. This a very unique time. She offered to waive the fees and cancellations she could if we decided not to go (AirBnB is now back doing that). We were on the ropes about it due to CoVID but after she assured me that no one had been in the house for a few days we decided to drive there for a change of scenery. The house is delightful and both my husband and me as well as our dogs were very comfortable. The only thing I could wish for (I say this to all dog friendly properties) is a fenced in grass area to let them out at night or early in the morning); however with the challenging landscape of hills that would make it tiny in the front or from the back downstairs. Since I am five feet tall I vote for back basement stairs as my head does not have to worry about ducking:) With that being said there is a deck off of the kitchen that you can hang out on without your dogs getting out (it was just cold and rainy). Now that I have let my crazy dog mom wishes go, seriously, you can't ask for a more communicative or friendly host. The special touches are incredible between the fireplace, the local books, tips and menus, the local wine or the hidden fun like the secret bookcase door (find it). We hope to be back when things aren't quite so crazy and a bit warmer. Until then, if during the next few weeks or months (or anytime) and you are within driving distance and just want a change of scenery, this single family, spotlessly clean home may be your way to cure the stir crazies:)

  • This place is wonderful to stay at. Everything is clean, comfortable, and clearly communicated. She makes sure basic daily necessities are taken care of (hair dryer, coffee, cooking spray, wine openers, etc). It is close walking distance to quite a few places to shop and eat, and you can easily walk to the French Lick hotel, where a free trolley can take you to the other part of town. We loved everything about our stay!

  • Julia’s home was beautiful! It was very clean when we arrived and is in a nice neighborhood. There was even a list of recommendations of places to go in the area. Julia was quick with responding with any questions we had. Anytime I messaged her I always got a reply within 10 minutes. Would definitely recommend this beautiful home!

    Mo2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a family to stay. Clean, comfortable and near to all of your French Lick activities. We especially enjoyed the fooseball table and playing board games of an evening by the fire.

  • This is a special home and was perfect for our two families (Cincy/St.Louis) to meet for a long-weekend visit. The combined family room/living room space was great for kids to play and have room to move around. Bathrooms and bedrooms were also comfortable. I especially liked the adjustable heater in the side bathroom to warm me up in the morning! Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our meals as well as a few extra hospitality touches. Highly recommend!

  • Spectacular! My family with 3 young children stayed while visiting family in the area over the holidays and I’m so glad we did. The price was comparable to the hotels in the area but at an unbelievable value. We had so much space to stretch out and relax. The house had beautiful decor and modern amenities mixed with “old house” charm. There were so many thoughtful touches that made it feel like home and it was spotlessly clean from front to back—my compliments to the thoughtful host and housekeepers. We would absolutely stay again!

  • Tim's cabin was perfect for our outdoor vacation. Tim will meet you in person to give you the keys and tell you about the area. His house is also right next door so you'll see him around the yard if you have any questions. The cabin is steps away from a quiet section of Patoka Lake. There is boat ramp a short drive away or it's easy to carry kayaks a short way to launch near the cabin. The cabin was clean and had very basic kitchen amenities (coffee pot, plans, paper towel) but plan on bringing everything else (oil, spices, tin foil, charcoal, Tupperware). The screened-in back porch was our favorite part of the cabin - it faced towards the lake (rather than the cabin next-door) and you could see the sunset over the trees. The cabin is a 30ish minute drive from a bunch of local outdoor attractions - Patoka Lake State Park, wineries, Hemlock Cliffs, Marengo cave, and boat rentals. As Tim warns, the cabin does not have wifi and the cell phone reception is very poor, so plan any excursions before you get there! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit!

    Mauri2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay! The cabin is very clean and has everything we needed. We would stay here again. It is secluded and it takes some time to get to town. Bring DVDs because there are only a few channels, and cell service is spotty. It’s a good chance to unplug and relax.

    Samantha2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Loved loved loved!!! Great place to unwind and check out from technology. All you need is food toiletries fishing gear and minors everything is provided with amazing hosts. We plan to make it a yearly tradition

    Candice2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Honestly this place is phenomenal especially with the price. Beginning to end Tim was a good host and put forth the extra steps to make things accomodating and comfortable for my friends for our trip. We were driving from out of state and ended up missing our ETA and got in late but Tim stayed up and waited for us. The cabin is very nicely furnished and perfect for anyone just needing a place to stay on a budget with a small group. The cabin has the basics and you'll really only need your toiletries and some food because you'll be pretty deep in the forest when you stay there. (Not a bad thing at all I must say) but like said before in a previous review be prepared to unplug and enjoy nature and companionship with the ones you are going on this trip with. It's a great experience. The cabin is comfortable and is enough space. And the area around is just beautiful. Cannot wait to come back and cannot recommend a better place to stay. And this is coming from someone who is city native. Tim is a great host and the cabin was a great place and I'll have memories of this trip years to come.

This is NOT your average place. :-) Somewhere between a resort and camping, Lost River Hostel is a nonprofit arts and cultural center located on a 16+ acre hillside in West Baden Springs. With the farmhouse on a hillside and the guesthouse in the forest, the hostel is a hub of conversation and inspiration. We offer a free dinner just after our nightly gratitude circle and also ask that our guests help with a simple chore in the morning to help contribute to the well being of Lost River.
There are wonderful places in this world that inspire us such as mountains, cathedrals, forests, fields, caves, and the sea. People inspire us too. Those who teach, who lead by example, who create, who perform, who follow their passions, and who radiate kindness. Those people that give you the sense of “if they can do it, so can I!” The Lost River Hostel blends both of these things; striving to build and maintain an extraordinary space fueled by a constant cycle of generosity and creativity. We hope everyone who stays here will go back into the world refreshed and rejuvenated – wanting to be better people and do great things. While there is no central religious belief system of those who live/work at the hostel, we do believe in making the world a better place and constantly learning new things as we go by providing a distraction-free, reflective space. In greater efforts to do this, we will also be hosting workshops and events related to music, writing, yoga, organic gardening, cooking, and environmental sustainability.

  • So glad this wasnt just another renovated room in a house. The energy and peaceful vibe here is outstanding. The guys here are wonderful, the grounds tranquil, the accomodations unique and comfortable.

  • Coming here is always a wonderful experience. The hosts are super welcoming. If you love nature and art, definitely check this place out!

    Emily2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a wonderfully transformative place full of good company and lots of laughs! I will miss this place until I’m back again!

    Montana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I came to the Lost River Hostel needing a cheap place to stay for a business trip, but left with many new friendships and a renewed thirst for life. The main house is oozing with character, and the downstairs living area fosters connection between people of all backgrounds. It was cold and rainy for much of my stay, but I still enjoyed hiking the property and having a much-needed detox from the stressors of the outside world. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are at a point in your life where you need some peace and quiet to think, to meet new open-minded people, or to reevaluate your direction in life. I can say with certainty, I'm better off having stayed here.

  • This is a well thought-out and unique place to stay.

    Nancy2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place is just as it is described. Not your typical stay but so much fun and lots of unique features. It is camping with an air conditioned private room with a bed! The staff was super friendly and we got to meet new people from very different walks of life! Wish we had more time to spend with the staff. They were a very neat group of guys! Overall the experience was very unique and would love to return when we have more time to enjoy all it has to offer!

    Chad2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Lost River Hostel. As always, the kindness of the staff & beauty of the location are outstanding. Thank you, Scott & staff, for a relaxing time 'away from it all'.

There is a gravel drive @ the top of the hill from the cabin. This drive can be used for extra parking. It has a sleeping loft with 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed, a 2nd full bathroom with a tub/shower combo on the main floor, a living room with a 40" flat screen TV, a couch that is also a queen sized sofa/pull out bed, kitchen with a 4 burner electric stove and refrigerator. • Wonderful getaway ! Clean and cozy ! Amy was a perfect host ! Thank you again for sharing your cabin ! Will be back !

    Sheila2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was fantastic! It was in a quiet area and still so close to the lake and restaurants. There were so many personal touches that made it feel like home! We will definitely be back!

    Kim2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful escape! My family enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay in rustic Birdseye, IN with all the amenities. The cabin was comfortably furnished, with plenty of space for the 7 of us. We enjoyed being able to make all our meals in the cabin and s'mores outside on the campfire. The location was beautiful and remote. Remote enough that there was no cell service! Great chance to unplug. We enjoyed being close to Patoka State Park where we enjoyed a hike and a very nice nature center. We also visited the Marengo Caves nearby; a beautiful, educational experience. The kids amongst us enjoyed being outside and exploring the grounds, a nice little creek runs behind. The cabin was clean and everything you could really need was provided. The owners were quick to respond to messages and very attentive. Excellent.

  • Creekside Cabin was in a great location. We enjoyed the peacefulness.

    Jesse2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful backyard right on a creek. No need to leave the place to enjoy nature but we did! 12 mile hike in Hoosier National forest. What a treat at the pinnacle of fall leave color glory. Firepits each night by the creek in the backyard. Quit and perfect. We loved it. Master bedroom with bathroom on the first floor. Loft bedroom needs to use the communal bathroom on first floor. The inside of the cabin is small but nice. Its a little hard to be quite in the morning while other guests were sleeping in the loft -- but for us that was not a real problem. Well stocked kitchen. We appreciated the good cooking supplies. Amy was a lovely host. the house was spotless. Everything was as described. No issues.

    Tracy2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • A great cabin to disconnect from it all. Peaceful and serene with little cell service. We loved hanging out on the back decks and by the fire pit. Would recommend if you're looking for a simple weekend to spend with family or friends.

  • The Gray House greatly exceeded our expectations! We really needed a weekend away for some quality family time and the setup of the house was just perfect for this. Nice open concept in kitchen, dining area and living room area allowed for kids to play board games while we cooked and could still interact with the them. Amazingly well stocked coffee and hot chocolate bar; two kinds of hot chocolate, several coffee options, several sweetener options, several creamer options, has keurig with pods and also the pod that allows you to use loose grounds with the keurig, to go coffee cups also provided. Many snacks and extras available, which my kids enjoyed. Even had fresh fruit there for us. Kitchen is very well stocked; there is even a crockpot available. The only thing I needed that I couldn't find was a whisk; I imagine not many people on vacation or a weekend getaway need a whisk. Everything in the kitchen works well. The sink is a little small and there is no dishwasher, so keep that in mind if you plan to do much cooking. There is also only one television and it is located in the downstairs media room. This was not an issue for my family, but could see how if you had very young kids wanting to watch cartoons and older kids or adults not wanting to, this might be something to consider so you could bring a laptop or tablet. The Wifi connection was amazing and we never had any service issues. Nice comfortable beds, plenty of nice pillow including extras we never needed; same with blankets. Also, plenty of nice towels; we were never in danger of running out. The lane back to the house is nice and long making the house secluded. We saw turkeys right outside the windows and several deer not far from the house. If there are night lights, I did not see or find them, so if this is something you need, pack a few. Entry into the home was easy. Shema was very helpful with information about questions I had regarding local activities. She also has a very quick response time. There are several fun family appropriate board games provided as well. Several books in one of the bedrooms also. Another nice touch was a bottle of water and two glasses in bedrooms. House was also very comfortable in terms of temperature; not at all drafty or cold. We had a great stay and would definitely consider staying again if we are ever back in that area.

    Leslie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This home is beautiful, comfortable and spacious! Our family had a great week here. The amenities were over the top! The location was central to our intended destinations. The layout was perfect for a family with teens, outdoor exploring, tv room and balconies. We hope to return next year.

  • It was a great place to stay with friends. It was secluded but not to far from town! I would recommend staying here!

    Shelly2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We love Gray House, have probably stayed here six times since we began working in the area. Beautiful home, totally secluded, very generous amenities. Coffee station is tip top, kitchen has anything you need to cook, love having coffee on deck(when it's not freezing out!). Love that TV is in downstairs den so sound doesn't carry to bedrooms. Great value.

  • This cabin was stocked with everything we needed. It was very clean and very peaceful at the end of a dead end street. We (four adults, 2 kids and a baby) were quite comfortable in the cabin. The area is beautiful and Timothy was the kindest most helpful host. We brought plenty of board games and movies to play which was great on the days that we did not venture out because the cabin is about 30 minutes from anywhere.

The layout worked perfectly and our kids loved the dollhouse and the swing set. Our only destination while in town was the French Lick Scenic Railway and we were about 20 minutes away from it - yay! We brought Chicago's Pizza back to the cabin with us and I would recommend that pizza to any future guests. Thanks for accommodating out stay, Robert, your cabin fit our need a perfectly!

  • Staying at Randy's cabin was an amazing retreat. Having three bedrooms, and all the spaces you'd want in a home, plus the land outside, to stretch our feet out in, was amazing. It was a quiet place to stay and highly recommended. Randy was in contact with us immediately after a power outage affected the road and kept in contact until power was restored shortly.

    Candace2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful little cabin in a private setting with so many recreation options close by. The cabin is clean, well maintained and has everything needed for a family stay. Randy responded promptly to communication and was very accommodating. We were there on a rainy weekend so put the jacuzzi and fireplace to good use!

    Jeri2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Randy's home was even nicer than we expected from the pictures! It was beautiful and comfortable, and we had a wonderful time. The gas fireplace was such a cozy addition. Randy was very responsive and helpful, and was a great host.

    Christina2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • For our second time staying here, it was just as we remembered but with added touches of the holiday decor. Randy’s place is the perfect spot for our home away from home while spending time with our family. It is modern, yet rustic due to it’s location and surroundings. Randy is a fantastic host, and has gone above and beyond for us with our special requests. We absolutely recommend this home for your next stay! We will be back many more times.

    Colin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very clean, well stocked kitchen, and great layout. Will definitely be back when it’s warmer and we can enjoy the outside areas!

    Stacey2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was classy, clean, and so tastefully decorated. Beautiful high ceilings and a great layout for a big family. The grounds are awesome and the drive to town was short. We definitely hope to come back!

The joined towns of West Baden and French Lick are a beautiful little tourist spot located 3 minutes from the hostel. There you will find: West Baden Springs Hotel and Gardens / The cute downtown of French Lick / Paoli Peaks Skiing / Hoosier National Forest / The Shirley Creek Trail / French Lick Winery & Restaurant / Wilstem Ranch/Zip Lines / Indoor Karting / Big Splash Indoor Water Park / French Lick Casino
  • Very nice people that own this can't wait to stay there myself. I booked the room for my elderly mom and aunt sort of by mistake (I did not read the accommodations well lol) they survived the night but have no plans to ever try a hostel again. With that said they were pleased with how nice Scott was to them. They knew they did not fit in haha but said it was clean and a neat place for the younger more adventurous people if the world. They were treated very well and said it was very clean. Thanks for taking extra great care of them and for the flashlight you brought to them to cross the grounds more safely at night. It was definitely an adventure for them 😆

  • Lost River Hostel is a really great place. We spent a relaxing day by the clay lagoon, and enjoyed a delicious meal with the entire hostel that evening. Afterwards, we sat by the fire and enjoyed some really nice folk music. We will be back!

  • If you're looking for an awesome stay of relaxation, truly becoming one with nature, and making some great memories, there is no better place to stay! Highly, highly recommend!

    Alvin2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • As a former host I am typically in the habit of leaving short reviews But for the lost river hostel it deserves a longer praise! It was seriously one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. Scott was super friendly and helpful. He fixed a delicious dinner. I enjoyed a rooftop bath under the stars And a bike ride through the beautiful countryside. We will definitely be coming back and I would recommend this place to anyone

Enjoy Patoka lake in the Summer and Paoli peaks for some skiing in the Winter. Perfect area to relax with friends/family while enjoying the sites and sounds of nature.
  • The cabin is located a few miles up into a gravel road and is completely secluded. It has a small stream, fire pit, hot tub, and grill in the backyard. Inside it has two living areas, a complete kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a ping pong table. We spent more time at the Airbnb than we did in French Lick because it was so accommodating. This is an excellent place to stay.

It was stocked by Becky with everything you could even think of needing, including some travel-size toiletries in case you forgot your own. We even had a personalized card awaiting our arrival! Our daughters found it so nice that they wanted to cut our days exploring short to go back and spend time at the cabin!

    Kristin2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Review This cabin is awesome! Very well stocked with everything you could need, and just a short drive from many great locations including Patoka Lake, French Lick, Holiday World, Marengo Cave, and I’m sure many others. The place was immaculately clean and very well thought out with a fully stocked kitchen, ample seating, extra blankets, clean towels, and most toiletries in case you forgot! There are games like Jenga, checkers, and cards in the living room! Situated on a beautiful lot complete with yard, screened-in front porch and spacious back porch stocked with grill and supplies. There is even a fire pit with wood and kindling, ready to light! This cute little cabin really lives up to its name. Will definitely try to come back and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway.

Very comfortable, plenty of towels and bedding, and James and Kathy were extra accommodating for us in our plans! Will definitely stay again when we come to French Lick. So much better than a hotel!

  • This is a wonderful cozy place. There is coffee available which made my day! My husband and I were the only occupants but the 2nd bedroom upstairs with a full bath makes this home a great place for 4 people to still have privacy. We hope to come back next year!

    Robin2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for my mom and her best friend. They wanted to meet halfway between their homes (Cincinnati and St. Louis) and hang for a couple days. They raved about the house and their photos are adorable. It was perfect for them to chill and drink wine but they also loved that they could walk to restaurants and shops. They also drove out to the winery and enjoyed it. They’re already planning a trip back! Both my mom and myself communicated with Kathy and she’s so lovely. Definitely recommend staying!

    Stacie2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • My only go-to place when we are in French Lick. Never disappoints.

    Craig2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Location is perfect if you want to walk and explore the little downtown of French Lick or the French Lick Resort. Can take the train for free on to West Baden Hotel, which is a must. Public shuttle will also take you most places for free. But the location is also close enough if you don't feel like walking or waiting for your ride and just want to drive. Ample space, but cozy at the same time. Comfy beds, spacious kitchen, private patio with grill. Check-in and out was easy and Kathy communicated well.

    Brandie2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a hidden gem! It was so comfy and cute. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed. The space is definitely bigger than it looks on the listing! The kitchen was clean and had everything you could need. The living spaces were comfortable and perfect for a small group of friends! Sleeping arrangements were great, too. We will definitely be back!

  • This was our first time using Airbnb and let me say it did not disappoint! Everything about this cabin was perfect. We felt so cozy and at home from the moment we walked in. The amenities were abundant, especially in the kitchen. We cooked 3 meals and wanted for nothing. The bed was SUPER comfy and cozy. The jacuzzi was the best I've ever been in. We had the perfect amount of seclusion, but were only a short 20 minute drive to French Lick. Our contact, Candy, was very friendly and quick with responses and answers to questions I'd had. I would definitely recommend this place. We hope to come back over the summer!

  • A nice clean place to stay with your family. Beds were comfortable, bath had plenty of hot water and Becky left little treats for us! Thank you for making our stay comfortable.

    Kevin Sarah2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Becky’s cottage was perfect for our family getaway. It’s clean, comfortable and really well-equipped. It’s set in a pretty wooded area with a creek, and within a few miles are Lake Patoka hiking trails and nature center. You can go antiquing, visit historical sites, and a few different caves. French Lick and West Baden are about 20 min away. We’d definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

    Diana2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place, and hospitality is AMAZING. Definitely worth it! I will be telling my friends and family to go here.

    Douglas2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great fall break at wooded retreat. It’s cozy, clean and has all the appeal of a rustic getaway. The cabin does have everything you need and more! We used the outdoor fire pit and grilled out one night. The cabin is conveniently located near the park entrance and lake. Also, we enjoyed the location to access nearby golf courses. Thanks Becky for a wonderful stay!

    Paul2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • From other reviews, I knew that the cabin was going to be well stocked but it was so much better than I thought it would be! It was cosy, warm and the double bed on the ground floor was incredibly comfortable (we didn't use the others but they looked great too). There were some board games, the kitchen was fully equipped and everything was really high quality. I would highly recommend!

  • I've used vacation rentals all over the world, have had mostly fantastic experiences. This home is one of the best I have stay ever. Cozy, clean and well located. Very week described by the hosts.

  • We had a great stay in French Lick! The location of the Manor House is unbeatable and space is perfect!

  • Our second stay at the Manor House was just as wonderful as the first! My family comes to French Lick for the Polar Express train ride and to spend the weekend together. We just love this house! The location is perfect and close to everything in town. We find the house to be so welcoming with cute decor and a cozy feel. Wesley is always wonderful to work with! Thank you again for another great weekend!

  • 100% one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had! This house was even better in person than the pictures. We stayed here for a wedding with a few other couples and there was so much space for everyone. Plenty of sleeping room and we even had plenty of space for 6 girls to get ready the morning of the wedding. Not only was there plenty of space but EVERYTHING in this house was comfortable. The couches, the beds and the over all feel. We really loved the special touch of fall all over the house and the extra amenities. It made our trip that much better. It was also very convenient to walk every where we needed to go. I would stay here every time I come to French Lick!

    Kristy2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay, you are withing walking distance from most social activities and even the neighbors are super friendly. I would definitely recommend them to my friends or family.

    Tara2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This house was the perfect option for us! We were celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday and nothing was short of amazing! Super clean, welcoming home. The beds were comfortable and you got the best of both worlds with historic charm, but amenities of today. Walking distance to everything you need, which was a plus for us! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home and experience French Lick!

  • We had a wonderful time at the Lost River and can't wait to go back in the summer!

  • Great place - love the outdoor spaces and overall vibe of the place. Quick hint, bring a towel if you use one and a good flashlight. So many special things about this space ...

  • Amazing place to get away and disconnect from the world for a bit. Everyone there is extremely friendly! Dinner was excellent. Loved the gratitude circle. Absolutely stunning for those that love and appreciate nature.

  • A rustic, artsy place. Not for everyone, probably. Kind of like comfy camping. I loved it.

  • This place is awesome! Would highly recommend. The staff is very kind and enjoyable to hang out with.

  • Lost River Hostel is a wonderful and unique experience! The host and members of the hostel are fantastic, so warm and welcoming. The property is beautiful! You won't find a prettier spot, located on the edge of a National Forest and just down the road from two historic resort hotels in the quaint towns of West Baden - French Lick. If you read the description of the property, it's very accurate. This is a communal style hostel experience on the edge of beautiful woods and river, with a spring fed swimming hole, free-range chickens happily roaming the yard, and a beautiful old farm home full of exceptionally cool people, a warm meal, and lots of music if you're lucky enough be there at the right time! The rooms are uniquely designed, charming, comfortable, and very clean. And you can't beat the price for a room and a meal. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LRH and will be coming back!
