The 3rd floor bedroom has a private bath, separate heating & air conditioning and jacuzzi tub. You are welcome to share the kitchen & laundry. All utilities plus wifi included.
I own an 1897 Victorian home in the Shaw Neighborhood close to the Missouri Botanical Gardens, St. Louis University and South Grand restaurants/shopping district.
This is a diverse, urban neighborhood with an active community group.
  • JoAnn is an amazing host! She is mindful and strikes a perfect balance between being available and allowing space. It is not easy to share a home with someone, but JoAnn does it with kind graciousness! Because the room is on the third floor, there are stairs-but the plus side is it is extremely quiet AND you get daily exercise 😊! I enjoyed being able to walk anywhere-to the park, the gardens, to church, for coffee or a bite. As a single woman I felt completely safe. I highly recommend JoAnn’s place!

    Eileen2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • JoAnn was amazing! Parking is just right in front of the house, location is easy to assess to many good restaurants, the famous Botanic garden, museums, highways, etc. Making life so much easier and really pleasant as I am new to St. Louis for my internship!

  • Amazing place! JoAnn was an awesome host.

    Sai2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • The room is perfect if you need a space to stay near the city. Short drives to many different locations and the host is very helpful with directions and suggestions. The amenities are great, and you have a good amount of dedicated space in the kitchen for any supplies you might need. A word of warning though, be ready to traverse two floors of stairs often!

  • JoAnn was the best host I ever lived with. I stayed at her place for almost 3 months. Her place is well organized and clean. She will fix any issue by her self as quickly and efficiently quicker than you expect. She will try her best to make your stay as pleasure as possible.

    Moosa2019-04-12T00:00:00Z

    Mike2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Paula’s place is perfect! It’s such a comfortable place to stay. It’s close to everything. Our daughter attends SLU and Paula’s place is only about 10 minutes from campus. It’s near anything you could ever need. And she’s thought of everything from fresh flowers to local beer and her homemade banana bread. Paula’s place is always super clean, plenty of pillows, towels and extras like coffee, fresh fruit, snacks and juice. As long as Paula’s place is available, we will book it EVERY SINGLE TIME!! She’s a fabulous host with a great space!!

Welcome to St. Louis! This quiet and safe place is only 6-min drive to the airport, 9-min to Delmar Loop, 10-min to Clayton, and 15-min to Forest Park. UMSL is right across the street. You will get a cozy bedroom on the 1st floor to stay for the night. We will share the kitchen, the dinning room, and the living room, which are all clean and tidy. It's also very close to the airport so it will be ideal for one-night before / after a flight too. And the value for price can't be beat! David and Mika were very responsive and accommodated every need I had. Would definitely love to stagy again.

Cozy apartment in Maplewood CENTRALLY LOCATED-close to downtown and everywhere you might want to go in St. Louis. Double bed, single bed, short futon, two comfy chairs, desk, microwave, fridge, hotplate, coffee maker, sink, bathroom, use of washer, dryer - detergent and softener provided. Entire house has central heat and air (vent opens into the basement), as well as wall heaters and fans. As this is a basement space (partially below ground level), the temperature stays quite comfortable.
This is a small space in a very safe, centrally located neighborhood in St. Louis - a few miles from Washington University, close to downtown, St. Louis University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Forest Park, St. Louis Zoo, the Art Museum and so much more! There are two cats and one dog living with me so, if you have allergies, this may be an issue :) There may be doggy noise from above...we rise early.
I love living in Maplewood because it is so centrally located - 10 or 15 minutes from almost everything. This is a quiet, family area, with friendly neighbors. There is a lovely coffee shop a block away - Stone Spiral and a main street 3 blocks away. Lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and "Strange Donuts!"
  • My wife and I booked Mila’s place for an entire month as we transitioned from Bend, Oregon to St. Louis MO. We could not have dreamed of a better host and space during of first few weeks in this new city! Mila is endlessly kind, whenever we had a request or mild complaint she was quick to respond and help. Absolutely worth the value!

    Stacie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great place! The little touches are what really impressed me. Mila provided plenty of referrals for things to do, in the neighborhood and downtown alike. The area is very quaint and nice, right off the highway from downtown and there is a convenience store right at the end of the road for anything you might need (that Mila hasn’t already provided :) ) Overall an amazing stay, perfect for a quiet getaway!

My home and hence, your apartment, is in the Tower Grove South neighborhood (TGS). Our neighborhood is located in the southern part of the City of St. Louis, immediately south of the 275 acre Tower Grove Park, which is gorgeous and alive with history as well as many great St. Louis activities such as kickball leagues, yoga, concerts, food truck gatherings, and a huge farmers’ market open twice per week during the summer. I’ve been a five-star Airbnb guest since 2015 with at least 50 stays in dozens of countries--check my profile as a guest to verify. I have seen the good, bad, and ugly of the industry…and know what other guests are looking for because I am a veteran traveler. I’ve been to over 60 countries now! Ask me about Bangladesh in your intro for extra points. :) If you’re like me, you want an easy check-in & access the property, be able to get that WiFi password to get online ASAP, get cleaned up with a hot shower, then feel welcome to spread out and enjoy the space, cook a meal, watch TV, all this with minimal guesswork, hassles, where it all flows and is intuitive. I enjoy chatting with guests, but will respect whether you want to chat a lot, a little, or not at all. Also, there are no keys to lose or to return! My place provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key or personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay.
The neighborhood is a safe, working class, mostly residential area with homes built in the ‘40s & ‘50s. The main draw for my place is of course the proximity to the airport, perfect for airline employees, traveling nurses etc. Also, once here, getting food or a quick meal can be done without a car, there are several options within walking distance. The Mexican restaurant just 3 minutes away is a must-try. A convenience store with an ATM is even closer. I have a dry erase / cork board in the dining room that lists other nearby options, most can be reached on foot.
  • I highly recommend staying here, totally a sweet deal. I mean, I got a suite for the price of a private room. I spread out on the dining room table and got some work done, turned that into my own office for a little bit. Paul was a gracious host, turns out he was in the Air Force too & we clicked quite well, turns out we were at a lot of the same bases together, just at different times. He sold me on getting a toilet light for my place too something future guests will marvel over if they have never seen one. The smart TV in the bedroom (LG) has a very interesting remote control used like a wand that reminded me of using a Wii. There’s a store called Hi 5 that sells basic items for survival (beer, soda, laundry detergent, plus an ATM). Cheers, Paul...hope to stay with you again soon.

  • Thank you for exceeding our expectations! My husband and I just loved Paul’s place and how tidy and tastefully decorated it was. Very welcoming! A hotel room of this level would have easily been triple the price per night. This will be our go-to spot when we have to fly out next time. Super close to the airport. Our uber ride took only 4 minutes to get there! Paul’s place is not close to downtown St Louis but it’s tough to beat it for how close it is to the airport. We walked only a block to get take-out at the local Mexican place upon our host Paul’s recommendation. They don’t speak English very well there but the food was unlike any Mexican I’ve ever had and quite delicious. We managed to order even with the language barrier by pointing and nodding. They said they came from the Michoacan part of Mexico. I never had cactus in a taco before, kind of looks like string beans, and tastes about the same, and very good. I have to have my morning coffee and there was no Bunn, Keurig, or Mr. Coffee that I was familiar with but Paul taught my husband & I to use a French press and it was really great, a very nice upscale touch. Only thing missing was an alarm clock. For sure we’d stay at this place again next time we’re in town.

Great location, well furnished, balcony, next to a famous deli, a Starbucks, four great restaurants, with many others nearby. Close to Washington University, Forest Park, Chase Park Plaza movie theater, the famous Delmar Loop & trolley, the Central West End district, Barnes Hospital, etc. Also only twenty minutes from the airport. Complimentary wine and regional snacks provided. Keurig machine and variety of pods provided. Two bicycles provided.
Well-furnished, fully appointed, friendly welcoming space. Second floor condo just near the business district, along scenic Wydown boulevard leading to Forest Park. Walking or biking distance to everything.
Wydown Forest is a prized neighborhood that is centrally located in Clayton. Located behind the corner of Hanley and Wydown, this neighborhood is tree-lined and, due to the small lots and shallow set-backs, exudes a "Vieille Ville" charm. Most of the homes were built between the mid-1920s through mid-1930s in period revival styles. The homes carry many architectural details that are often only seen in larger homes. A few of the homes were even designed by the famed St. Louis luxury architecture firm of Maritz & Young. One of the more affordable Clayton neighborhoods, sold prices range from the $300s to the mid $600s for larger, more up-to-date homes. If there were such a thing as a price-to-walkability ratio, Wydown Forest might have the best in town. Residents enjoy walking to Downtown Clayton, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington University, and the metro-link for quick access to BJC, Busch Stadium and St. Louis City. If you are a runner or cyclist, the neighborhood is an ideal starting point for a trip down Wydown Blvd to Forest Park, the Zoo, the Science Center, the History Museum and much, much more.
  • Fabulous location for accessing all of Clayton. Only a few steps from a Starbucks, four great restaurants and a great deli.

  • Great apartment and wonderful alternative to a hotel in Clayton/St. Louis. Clean, well located, and Jason was a great host. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Loved the location and appreciated the parking pass! Thanks Jason!

    Mary Kay2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great location above a Starbucks but not much noise. Nice entertainment system and very friendly host. Lots of places to walk to so no car needed, but if you have one, good safe parking.

    Kevin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This review comes after my sixth visit to Jason's place in as many weeks. (You can see my earlier reviews by scrolling through.) Every visit has exceeded my expectations, and Jason's place has been my home away from home on Mondays through Wednesdays. It's comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. It is always spotless, and the linens and towels are fresh. Coffee maker? Yes. Coffee? Yes. Milk/Cream? Yes. Shampoo and conditioner? Yes. Body wash? Yes. Toothbrush if you forgot? Yes. And so on . . . My previous reviews spoke of the location, and let me emphasize that it is perfect if you have business in Clayton or at WashU. There is parking if you come in a car. If not, everything is a short walk or quick Uber ride. And restaurants are just around the corner. Even on Monday nights when most eateries close you can go to I Fratellini for a terrific Italian dinner. Prefer a latte in the am? Starbuck's is downstairs. And value? The rates are lower than other nearbly places, places that are not nearly as comfortable. Jason's place is now my go-to spot for future visits to STL. It should be yours as well.

    Ray2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s place is very conveniently located and a perfect place to stay.

  • Jason’s home is a nice option in the Clayton area. It has a lot of charm and nice touches provided by the host, and the area is very convenient, with stress-free parking and easy access to everything in the surrounding area. Jason was very quick and helpful whenever we had any questions.

With all the charm of a southern provincial Victorian estate in the heart of STL, this solar-powered, recently renovated 126-years-young home boasts a low carbon footprint! A spacious wrap-around veranda overlooks flowering terraces; while the interior offers abundant common space (2 kitchens, sunroom, dining, living, deck, grill). Private rooms come with personal TV, DVD, and guest accounts for Netflix, Hulu, Prime, and HBOnow. Organic raised bed garden in back. Adjacent to YMCA (with pool).
Third floor bedroom, with window AC unit for personalized climate control. Two lightly stocked kitchens. Two bathrooms with renewable bamboo toilet paper and other toiletries. Ample common space, both indoors and out. German Sheppard lives downstairs with owner. Four security cameras protecting entries.
The 'West End' neighborhood lies (you guested it) just West (and a bit North) of the 'Central West End': one of STL's trendiest and haute-est neighborhoods. Solar Urban Oasis rests just a 5 minute drive from Forest Park, one of the nations largest urban parks {well eclipsing NYC's Central Park (840ac)}, with roughly 1300ac. Forest Park houses many cultural icons of St.Louis: the expansive and FREE art museum; one of the country's last FREE zoos; one of the largest outdoor summerstocks in the Americas (The MUNY, w/FREE seats in the back); a boathouse, and Shakespeare glenne, a golfcourse, miles upon miles of trail, et cetera ad nauseam. Just a bit further West is the Delmar Loop, home of the Pageant (amongst other venues), Wash U, and international cuisine marketed toward college/concert goers. To the Southeast, you will find The Grove, on Manchester: a great option for barhopping and local acts. The North side of Forest Park is more residential and less crowded than those to the South, making commuting less troublesome. Solar Urban Oasis resides North of the Delmar Divide. At last census, the neighborhood was 85% Black, 8% White, 4% Hispanic, 3% Asian/Native American/Other. If those numbers make you uncomfortable, please consider other options. Discrimination will be met with only the minimum of civility. Openness and kindness will be matched in hospitality. Along with my son, I have been renovating, flipping, and managing houses in the St.Louis Metro area for almost 20 years; focusing on ethical development: supporting sustainability, revitalization, affordability, and battling gentrification by cultivating neglected historic properties near cultural centers. I live at this property with my 100lb German Shepard, and of all the properties I own or manage around St.Louis, there has never been any issues with safety or theft on the SUO property. I hope that continues as I open my home to you.
  • Wonderful home for a cheap stay with a great host. Fully stocked kitchen and bathroom was a super plus, and the amenity basket. Only detractor was that the home is in a slightly sketchy area.

    Andrew2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best Airbnb my girlfriend and I had either ever been to. Shelley goes above and beyond with amenities as well as providing a comfortable, sparkling clean room. I would come back here time after time.

    Megan2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot recommend Shelley's place enough! Her home is beautiful, everything was clean and extremely organized, and I encountered no issues during my stay. I was a bit worried about finding parking, but street parking is ample. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

  • Had an excellent stay at Kalen's place, the "STL Farmhouse"! We stayed during the process of relocating to the area from out of state, and while our second child was due for delivery (and was in fact born). Kalen was very friendly, supportive, and accommodating throughout the entire process. The location is great and we loved how the house has a big backyard and sits at the end of the street near a walking path and playground. It has everything you need and more for a great price. Highly recommended.

    Benjamin2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome huge yard for 2 Dobermans!!! Awesome walking path right outside the yard to a very neat park! Screened in porches were fun to stay in and the Host took care of us extremely well! Will surely stay again!

    Guido2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • The St. Louis Farm House provided us a very comfortable stay when my friend and I concluded an 800 mile bike trip from South Carolina. Kalen made the check-in easy. The place is super clean and creatively decorated. The kitchen had what we needed to cook. It is right next to a bike trail which made our arrival easier and will provide recreational opportunities during our your stay. There is only one bedroom, but the bed is very comfortable. My friend slept on the floor because that worked better for his sore hip, so I can't comment on the futon in the living room as a sleep option. We were very happy with the place, and Kalen was attentive but unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

  • We really loved having a cute place where we could have our show dogs while showing at Purina Farms 45 minutes away. Bed was super comfy, neighborhood was quiet and back yard was the BOMB.

The home was recently remodeled with all updates! Brand new kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, lighting, and utilities. The deck on the back of the home feels great to hang out on and might even see a few deer walk by below. The place has a nice calm vibe. I Love the home because it feels like you're at a vacation place even though you're 5 minutes from the highway.
This home has been recently fully rehabbed. Brand new kitchen open up walls with ceramic tile flooring. Bathrooms are brand new with a new soaker tub.
20 minutes from everything in St. Louis. The home is 6 minutes from Creve Coeur Lake which an awesome lake with walking paths and great hiking trails, zip line, paddle boarding, etc.
  • Wonderful stay! The house is very well styled and I felt very safe staying there. I had a small issue soon after checking in and Sam responded right away and got the problem solved. It’s a great deal for a cute and homey room!

He was very kind to accommodate our last minute request to check in much earlier than requested, and made sure everything was set and comfortable before we got to the place. Centrally located! Minutes from the best St. Louis has to offer. This house fronts a main street, no parking/stopping on McCausland. Please don't use the front door, come to the back door. This is a shared house, the bedrooms are private complete with deadbolts for your peace of mind, but the rest of the house is shared- if you would like to reserve the entire house please contact us or reserve all 4 rooms- the Blue Room, the Red Room, The Green Room, and the Grey Room. • Neighborhood is residential and quiet, with easy access to restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. This is a room in Jordan's house, so at first I didn't know what to expect in terms of access at odd hours and negotiation of bathroom/kitchen in the mornings. Jordan replied quickly to my inquires before the stay and was out early in the mornings so it felt like I had the place to my own! At the same time, it was fun to chat with him when he returned from work, yet unobtrusive as he had other things going on and again I often had the place to myself in the evening. Place was comfortable, clean, and stylish. Fantastic for my stay. Thanks, Jordan.

  • It's really lucky for me to find a room in Heather's house. It's quite near to WashU and the Metrolink station, also in the walking distance to United Provisions which sells Asian foods. Heather and the roomate Beata are very nice people. And I couldn't forget the night when they invited me to their party, where they made a fire in the yard and made the baked marshmellow (amazing taste!). Heather's warm-hearted and helped me a lot during my short stay. Thank her for all these.

  • Heather's house is so charming. Great location. The subway is only at a 10 minutes walking distance, the university campus is also very close and the neighborhood is super safe. I didn't get to know Heather very well, since she was also traveling that weekend, but our interactions were super warm. I would completely recommend staying with her, whether you are visiting the university or simply touristing in the city.

    Gabriel2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • My first visit to St. Louis and didn't want to leave. So much to see and do! Heather's space is perfect to relax see the sites - very close to public transit and I rented a bike for a day. I stored some food in the fridge and the kitchen has exactly what you need. Bed comfy and shower - lovely. Used the laundry facilities, so convenient. I lucked out as Heather was available to introduce me to a couple local events making the visit so rich and engaging. Forest Park is nearby and worth a visit - it will take at least a day to enjoy the free museums and zoo! Thank you for an exceptional Airbnb experience.

My home is 10 minutes from the airport and west county, and 15 minutes from downtown. A very convenient central location in the heart of the city!. You’ll love my place because of the people and the neighborhood. This is a safe neighborhood with friendly neighbors. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets). Value accommodations for someone just needing a place to crash for the night or for longer term guests.
I have converted the back half of my living room into a semi-private bedroom for Airbnb guests. It is dedicated private guest space separated from the rest of the home by room divider curtains. The only difference between this and a regular bedroom is that there are curtains rather than a wall and door. The bed is an air-mattress on top of a pull-out sofa (and the sofa mattress) so the bed itself is pretty comfortable. Your room includes the bed, a dresser, nightstand (stocked with water bottles and disposable earplugs), alarm clock, power station, trash bin, another table, wardrobe closet with hangers, and extra blankets (upon request). I offer self check-in so you can check-in anytime on your own. The front door features a professional electronic keypad entry lever for guest privacy and security.
My home is the historic University City neighborhood; one of St Louis's first suburbs! It is quite safe, clean, and well kept for a St Louis neighborhood. My favorite place to grab breakfast or brunch is the Olivette Diner. Its about 5 min away from my home and has their famous "grand slam" which features a large portion of eggs, cheese, and meat! For lunch or dinner, I recommend IMO's pizza. Its unique to St. Louis and very tasty!
  • Amazing value! If you can handle living with other people in a hostel type setting, this is an affordable and cozy place to book. Ryan keeps his house clean weekly and breakfast is always stocked. I was able to live effortlessly for more than a month here, it had everything I needed!

    Dónal2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A very decent and safe place to stay for so low cost and had good experience staying there.

    Karthikeyan2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan was very communicative. He responded to my message as soon as he saw it and gave us detailed instructions on how to check ourselves in and get settled for the night. He also provided helpful signs on where to find the bathroom, kitchen etc. Ryan thoughtfully provided all the little things that travelers tend to forget, such as toothbrushes, shampoo, bar soap etc. He also provided breakfast items such as cereal etc. He made every effort to make us as comfortable as possible and I would definitely recommend staying at his place.

    Tomiwa2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tidy space and hospitable host. There were several people around but we were not bothered by anyone. We never met Ryan but communicated by text with ease. The only complaint we had was that the room was supposed to have a full size bed (stated and pictured in the listing), but it was changed at some point to a twin size bed and a twin size air mattress for the floor. We were not told this until we got there. Listing needs to be updated.

    Anthony2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean and comfy bed! Enjoyed my stay at Ryan’s place. He also went out of his way to provide very adequate breakfast selections and coffee. Also very easy street parking.

    Miki2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • I liked the fact that the house was clean. I also noticed that Ryan is a very responsive person all you need to do is to let him know if you need something. In my scenario I needed an iron. Ryan was kind enough to provide me the iron along with the iron stand. These small things go along way. I also appreciate that I had access to the kitchen to cook. The fact that Ryan provided all so many amenities at an economical rate is amazing and kudos to him. During my stay at Ryan's place I felt I was at home. I also want to thank him for allowing me to do laundry. Finally, I look forward to staying at your home again when in back in STL :)

Here lays a homestead "micro-farm" in a safe, quiet neighborhood in the city! I have a large garden with chickens & ducks! My home warmly holds 2 dogs & a cat! Your room is a private basement room and the bathroom is upstairs. ***My cat will find a way to visit you***, but the dogs stay on the upper floor. My space is perfect for travelers & animal/plant lovers. This space is perfect if you're not looking for a fancy room. It IS lovingly curated, clean, and a fun space to be in!
You have your own private entrance and the room is a private basement room. Keep in mind when you enter through the private entrance, you walk into the laundry room. Don't worry! Once you get passed that, your comfy, cute room will be waiting! There is a mini fridge with a jar of cold water, microwave, and cutlery already in your room. Any other cooking needs- please help yourself to my kitchen. There are animals, records, instruments, and trinkets that you are welcome to interact with. I am huge on lighting, so if you catch it at the right time, the upper-floor will be lit up nicely on some evenings. Feel free to start a fire in the fire pit, sit outside with the ducks, or relax on the front porch! Jude, the cat, loves people and loves letting you know!
My neighborhood rules. It's called Clifton Heights. Walking distance to Pint Size Bakery and Chris's Pancakes, as well as Adam's Smokehouse and two sweet dive bars- Sophie's Place and The Hideaway.
  • Wonderfully accommodating! Adorable home and her kitty is the sweetest thing! I would absolutely stay here again. Very comfortable bed, nice space down stairs with a private entrance and access to the house. The bathroom is conveniently located at the top of the steps. Very easy access and great communication! Everything you’re looking for at a great price!

  • I felt at home the moment I arrived. Lisa was friendly and welcoming. Lots of lottle personal touches. Her cat and 2 dogs were fun to hang out with and play with. Lisa's check in instructions made my arrival so easy. Would stay here again.

  • Really cool place to stay. Everywhere you look there’s a new piece of art to see. The animals are really sweet.

  • Cozy place and friendly animal. The location was close to main areas in a quiet neighborhood.

  • Lisa’s place was beautiful. He cat was so nice and loved to be downstairs with us. Every room of the house has a very personal touch and a style I just adore. Don’t be afraid to come in the winter time, she has plenty of rugs to keep your feet warm and the heater down there works great. The chrome cast tv was definitely a plus, and the mine fridge and microwave were much needed. I can’t wait to come back and stay again.

  • Great little place!

    Benjamin & Sarah2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very stylish place! The decorations and feel of the home were awesome. Having our own entrance and area in the basement kept everything very private though I wish I had seen the host to let her know how cool the place was. If you're not a pet person (cats, dogs, ducks) then this may not be the place for you, but my fiancee and I thought it was a really cool stay.

    Brandon2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • 10/10 First off let me just say how cute this space was! If you enjoy the atmosphere of what I think feels like an artists home then this is the place for you. Lisa was so sweet and helped us with anything we needed. While we didn’t ever get the chance to met I would love to say that our other host Jude was quite the gentleman. It was a really short drive to the concert venue we went to as well as forest park. The best atmosphere, hospitality, location, and value in Stl. Will totally try to stay again.

You can relax here-quiet,no traffic, half mile to attractive suburban retail- grocery, coffee shops, restaurants. Park and running trails are close by. BBQ on the patio, listen to the birds and chill! Comfortable updated house with well lit parking in front.
Very clean, quiet and comfortable up-dated house at the end of a no-traffic street. "GOOD STONG WATER PRESSURE"- in the shower. Sunny bedrooms look out to western blue sky. Mid County is a safe, friendly, popular location. Easy walk to the parks,Metro or markets, and Starbucks. Washer/dryer,porch,sunny deck with BBQ and privacy. Extra bikes for exploring. Welcome wine/beer and cheese tray. Breakfast is always fun too- big kitchen stocked and ready. New LG gas stove and double oven for real cooks! Make dinner here if you like-plenty of recipes, equipment and even a just- out- the -window bird-feeder if something does not work for you.) Always coffee waiting for you-(or teas of the world)! Many travelers like the central location-(witness the many new hotel rooms nearby)-and find it easy to visit the sights and avoid traffic too. "Se habla Espanol"-(hay cocas frias a las cinco),Je parle en petit peur de Francais tres mauve! Arrigato. And just let me know please how I can help to make your fun stay more interesting than just sliding down the Arch and into the Mississippi-maybe the City Museum or Brewery tour is your cup of tea this time. Bus is two short blocks away-goes directly to train which goes to airport, downtown and all around... I drive Uber some and can often help with a "I'm going that way any way complimentary free ride"... Many new food places just opened -easy walk .
Quiet,no traffic and easy shopping or park access. Walking type neighborhood.

  • John will go out of his way to ensure you have a great stay. He’s super quiet and unobtrusive, I hardly knew anyone else was living in the house for most of my stay. The house fit my needs perfectly.

  • It is one of the best Airbnb experience so far. Fantastic, kind host provided me with all the local tips, and even showed me around of ervery now an then. Convinient location, spacy, safe, and quite environment. Would definitely recommend to others, and come back to pay for another visit.

    Qiwei2019-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfotable house. Amazingly helpful. Clean. John went above and beyond to make my stay in St. Louis comfy. He even fixed a taillight on my car!

    Dylan2016-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Home is in a quiet, cozy neighborhood. John was very welcoming and courteous during my 1 month stay--took me around the city, offered coffee, and made sure I was comfortable.

    Aaron2016-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • John has been a great host for my 1-month stay in St.Louis. On my arrival he showed me around in St.Louis and we went to see Oklahoma at the Muny in Forest Park. He is really going the extra mile to be there for his guests. If you get to stay with John, you will experience great hospitality and feel at home in a foreign city immediately. Whenever there is anything needed, be sure John is eager to help you! But even if you are less of a contact guy, that is no problem as well, as there is no pressure or forced conversation. The house is in a great location and neighborhood. The kitchen got everything you need, and as John shares his groceries with his guests, you will always be able to find something. Air conditioning is alright, even though it was tough for me to get used to 72F in the house and 85+F outdoors. Bathroom is alright as well. The room I had, had a big bed and enough space to store everything I needed. The metro link is close enough to be reachable and is okay to get to different places in town, even though I would strongly recommend to use a car in St.Louis, as everything is far spread. All in all I would be glad to stay in Brentwood with John for my next trip to St.Louis. Kind regards, Nils (from Germany)

    Nils2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • I needed a temporary place to stay in a short notice and requested a week to week accommodation. I did not have any problem during my stay and Mr Lowe has been an engaging host.

  • John was a perfect host and I couldn't have chosen to stay with a better person in St. Louis. The house is very clean and my room was comfortable with a big bed. This was the first time I tried Airbnb and John went the extra mile to make me feel at home. He offered to drop me to office the first day. He helped me in purchasing my car - drove me to many prospective sellers and even helped to get the car serviced. He knows a ton about cars. Always offered to make me a coffee every morning and always ensured there was breakfast available in the morning. He also took me out on hikes and trails. One weekend, we also went to Ozarks. I am fortunate to have found such a good host. Will definitely stay with him again next time.

Cozy and bright room with window AC unit, for personalized climate control.
The greenway starts 2 blocks away and heads straight (2 miles) to the Museum in Forest Park. Delmar Loop and Central West End are 2 miles away. Within 5 miles are the Zoo, Science Center, Fabulous Fox Theatre, Mo Botanial Gardens, Tower Grove and the City Museum. The Arch is 6.5 miles away, as is the Cardinal Stadium or Soulard. Cherokee Street or the Anheuser-Busch Brewery are only 8 miles away.

  • Simon was a great host, he always answered my questions super quickly and gave us great tips when we arrived, which is worth seeing. The entire apartment is decorated in a very chic style & the room is very large & spacious. The private bathroom is right next to the room and there is free parking on the property. The apartment is in a very quiet neighborhood. A self-check-in is possible at any time thanks to a code lock on the front door. Simon is very friendly, funny and humorous, we sat together one evening and had a lot of fun. The entire property was spotlessly clean, I highly recommend it.

The room is semi-private with room divider curtains all around to separate it from the rest of the downstairs area. There are 2 other bedrooms downstairs with other Airbnb guests from time to time. Please message me if you are interested in knowing who the other guests will be during your stay. Guests have access to any of the common areas of the house (kitchen, living room, laundry room downstairs). Free printing is available for guests. Message me for instructions on how to set it up! Free complimentary breakfast is also available for guests. Help yourself to anything out on the kitchen counter. Selections of cereal, poptarts, coffee, oatmeal, milk (in the fridge).

The spot is about 20-25 min outside of the city and was easy to get to, even in the dark. Very close to the highway. She even provided toys for my children (5 and 9) to play with which helped out a ton!! James from Florida gave a full and accurate review. Please see. Simple stay. Clean room and core amenities. Wifi. Clean. Coined laundry on-site. Low cost. Nothing fancy. Well-priced. Built and priced for simple, private, long-term stays. Had many long-term stays.
Clean, convenient, and private room located just a quarter mile away from Forest Park

  • Nice clean quiet room and shared bath. I never saw Lee once we met nor did I see the other person renting the other room. Highly recommend it.

  • This place is a quiet place to stay if you need it for a weekend or a month. It’s very simple but is perfect for the price

  • Lee is very organized, clean and professional. I stayed in one of two rooms in the apartment for two months, and he always kept the common areas very clean. Everyone in the place kept to themselves and was very nice. I recommend if you are looking for a simple, no-frills place which is close by to Forest Park and the St Louis Zoo.

  • Best value in the city, beside the park and the zoo and the highway

  • I moved to St Louis for what was suppose to be 3 months, but turned into 6. I was very satisfied with my 6 month stay from November through April at Levi's place. I got super lucky on finding such a nice quiet place to call home. This apartment location was centrally located to all the major St Louis destinations and more importantly I felt safe. I drove a huge company truck, and never have an issue with street parking. In matter of fact, I never had to actually parallel park, I just drove into one of the spots. The shower water did take a minute to get hot, so I made sure let the water run a little before jump in. The bathroom was kept nice and clean. Levi's place is a two bedroom apartment, that when both rooms are booked, Levi would stay in a section of the living room closed off with large office dividers. This was not an issue at all, because Levi is very quiet and keeps to himself. I had full access to a kitchen and living room. If I am ever in town, I would definitely stay at Levi's place again.
