Places to stay in Lake Champlain

Places to stay in Lake Champlain
Lakefront cottage located in Highgate Springs, Vermont, on the Canadian border. The 2-bedroom cottage sits adjacent to the owner-occupied main house, on a large one-acre lot, with 120 feet of Lake Champlain shoreline. Enjoy the stunning sunset views while sitting on the deck overlooking the water. Private dock and boat-lift included. Montreal and Burlington each 45 minutes away. Available level-2 car charger. Wood stove. Well-behaved pets allowed. Super-fast WIFI!
Swim, fish, boat, ski, bike (the Missisquoi Rail-Trail is very close, with the Burlington Bikeway just to the south). An hour drive to Jay's Peak resort. Excellent restaurants in the nearby town of St. Albans, or dine in world-class restaurants in Burlington or Montreal. Note: During August and into September, as in many fresh-water lakes, algae may be present. Dogs should be kept in the fenced-in yard, as algae is harmful to them. Swimming at Alburg Dunes State Park, where the lake is much deeper, would be a good option during the late summer season.

  • This air bnb is a gem! We stayed last year around the same time (early March) for close proximity to ice fishing on Lake Champlain and loved it so much that we came back again. Direct access to the lake, wood stove, all the amenities you could possibly need for a very affordable price.

  • This place was a great stop on the way home from a ski trip. After skiing all day, we came in to a warm and cozy house. Beds were super comfortable and the fireplace was amazing. In the morning we woke up to a view of trucks on the ice...pretty cool. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

  • We didn’t get to visit William’s place because of the weather but he was very reasonable in offering a full refund. I have no doubt that William would be a great host

  • This spot is absolutely gorgeous, even in the winter! I expected a small space, but it’s actually much larger and extremely spacious! There were lots of little touches that made our stay very comfortable! We felt right at home and so look forward to another stay in the warmer months! Right on the water and so close to the border!

The sky dome floods the yurt with natural light. Bird songs drift in through the screened windows. Wooded trails outside your door. Close to town yet private. Fire pit for sitting out under the stars. double sized bed in loft with memory foam topper makes it very comfy. This is a rustic yet elegant stay. Cooled by fans and heated by wood pellet stove. It is not a good fit for very young children due to the stairs, hot wood stove and rough lumber flooring.
Songbird Sangha is a unique place which has been thoughtfully placed amongst the trees. It's unique design gives you a spaceous and airy feel of being outdoors. The sounds of the birds , peepers and owl's, drift in through the screens. Moonlight streams in through the dome or you can look at the stars while laying in bed. It is heavenly for lover's of the outdoors.
We cannot see other houses from our property. It is quiet, has lovely views and privacy. The village has a book store, several bakery's, art gallery, jewelry store, brewery/bistro, pizza, concerts on the green, farmer's market, hiking and more.
  • The place is incredibly beautiful, very clean, and has everything you need. And Ellen is a wonderful host!

  • This yurt is the coolest place I ever stayed. It is gorgeous and has everything you need. It has a full amazing kitchen that is better than most apartments have! The sky roof is the best part. Great romantic getaway.

  • The yurt was amazing and just what we had been looking for to get away! It was well stocked and we loved all the little touches. While we were there we enjoyed a thunderstorm from under the dome and it was awesome! Stay here, you won’t regret it!

  • Absolutely everything about our stay at Ellen and Jay’s yurt was wonderful. We were expecting it to be cute and fun but it far exceeded all our expectations. It’s incredibly comfortable and cosy, charming and romantic. We had our coffee outside on sunny mornings and enjoyed the warmth of the stove and sound of the rain on the yurt on the couple of rainy evenings we had while enjoying home cooked dinners. Have I mentioned falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the birds, the horses, the views, the peace? This is a truly magical place.

    Geraldine2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Ellen and Jay were perfect hosts and their yurt provided a comfortable and cozy space for our stay. We would not hesitate to return. Lovely private setting.

    Lester2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely peaceful no fuss place to stay. The bed was comfortable and downstairs was perfect, there is no microwave so bring food that you can only cook on the stove or toaster oven. Alexa was a good addition to the yurt. We loved having a fire in the fire pit at night then moved into the yurt at night then enjoyed the pellet stove.

    Joanna2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in the yurt was so serene. What a great space Ellen has created, with all the amenities needed to be cozy and comfortable! The animals were a sweet bonus. Ellen and Jay are great people. We would love to return and spend more time checking out Ellen's suggestions. We got some great food at Snaps in Bristol and also stopped at the local market to get ingredients to cook dinner in the yurt too. (Be patient using the pellet stove, it takes a few minutes to get ignited.)

  • We had a great stay in the Barn. Peaceful setting, great clean space, with some solid VT charm! Easy access to both Burlington and Stowe.

  • A great stay with fantastic hosts. The barn is a fantastic place to stay and change things compared to our usual hotel stays. Everything was clean and the amenities were fantastic. Since we are not of the area we asked to know if there was a particular place they could recommend to eat and Barry recommended us to the Public house. Great restaurant and great recommendation from our host. The whole experience is to be repeated for sure.

  • This barn is everything it’s advertised to be! My friends and I drove up from Massachusetts for a concert and only stayed in the barn for one night but we wished we could’ve stayed longer!

  • It’s a beautiful peaceful place to stay

    Jennifer2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The entire place smelled amazing, like cedar we think, and everything was incredibly clean! The linens were super soft, the bed and sofa were comfortable enough, and we had everything we needed! The only thing that would have been helpful for us was a slightly larger mini fridge, but all of the decor and furniture worked together so well, we couldn’t even be disappointed! A perfect place to hide away for a while!

    Alanna2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great space, super fun and clean. Peaceful and very close to Burlington! It was perfect!

  • My son and I had a great get away at The Barn. It was just what we needed to ski for a few days. It was easy to find, super clean and so cozy. We both felt like we found a peaceful retreat to rest in for a few days (while skiing all day). I would stay there again any time!

She provides the best possible experience a renter could ask for. As far as the house it is beautiful and the view is outstanding. I have stayed twice now at it and would be there right now if I could be. I brought my dog with me and she was very accommodating for him. He loved the house and the lake probably just as much if not more than me. The house is built with only the finest materials. And there is no bad view from inside or out. I really appreciate everything Barb has done for me while I stayed there. And would recommend it to anyone that wants a peaceful getaway. You will not be disappointed in any way shape or form. Our expectations were far exceeded! This place is absolutely beautiful, we can't wait to return! I've rented through Homeaway and VRBO a number of times and this was by far the nicest home we've ever stayed in. From the granite countertops, to the wood floors, to the large windows and huge jacuzzi tub, it was a dream come true for us. A lot of rentals are just that--rentals. This is a home. Thank you Barbara, for a great long weekend at your lovely cabin. The weather was ideal. The cabin had everything we needed and more. We both enjoyed the big jacuzzi tub. We sat on the dock and fished and we fell in love with Vermont. The view is amazing and very tranquil. Visiting the local town of Middlebury and the University grounds was very nice also. We can't say enough good things about your place and will be back next September for sure. This home was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a better week of vacation. We mainly came to the home for the fishing on Lake Champlain. The fishing was amazing. The home was more than anyone could ask for. The views of the lake were fabulous and the home was equipt with pretty much anything you would ever need. It was very hard to leave. This was the perfect getaway (quiet, peaceful, away from it all). I cannot wait to come back and stay in this home again. The hospitality of the owners was great and I have zero complaints about my vacation. I would reccomend this home to anyone. My wife, 1-year-old and I spent a week in this beautiful place at the end of January. The setting is magnificent, with breathtaking views of lake Champlain and beautiful rural Vermont landscapes. Nearby are local stores and restaurants, and a bit farther away Middlebury is easily accessible. The house itself is beautifully designed and equipped with its wood floors, cathedral ceilings, spacious kitchen, large windows that give on the lake, gas stove to keep things cozy in the winter, jacuzzi, and ping pong/ pool table/ dart board/ games downstairs. There was quite a bit of snow on the ground when we were here, but the house was nice and warm. We walked out onto the lake where people were ice fishing, and went sledding with the baby. The hosts were very welcoming- they baby proofed the electrical outlets for us, left some local specialities for us to try, and gave us lots of pointers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a house on lake Champlain! Rating: 5 STARS! Leonard Calo New Haven, CT Review Submitted January 31, 2011 Recommended for: Age 55+ , Adventure Seekers , Tourists without a Car , Families with Young Children , Romantic Getaway GREAT ESCAPE! - 5 STARS! We finally had a chance to truly relax in a remarkably beautiful setting. Our charming hosts who live just down the driveway even provided a small basket of Vermont goodies for us when we arrived. Although 6 can indeed fit here, it was perfect for just 2 of us!. There is a bed for 2 in the basement and a bed for 2 upstairs with a magnificent view of the lake. The sleeping loft is in the upstairs bedroom and could sleep two more. You can lie in bed and see the stars through the skylight! The kitchen is very well equipped - a true plus as I do a fair bit of cooking. The lake is steps away and the kayaks and paddle boat were fun to use. The house is light and airy and beautifully maintained. This was my first experience renting a vacation home and I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went. The town of Vergennes is close by and has a great diner called Three Squares. Breakfast is fabulous- supper fresh eggs and delicious bacon! The Maritime Museum, which I thought had great promise....was a disappointing bore....hopefully they will get better in time. Verizon cell reception was very dicey, but the owners tell us that ATT works better. We found we could plug our IPOD into the television and we were able to play all of our own tunes. I recommend this property highly and without reservation. I plan to visit again next year! Rating: 5 STARS! David - Review Submitted October 7, 2010 Date of Stay August 7, 2010 Thank you! We had a wonderful time. Your lovely house was the perfect getaway for us, as would be for so many people. While we enjoyed a week of lounging, lazing, kayaking and cooking in, others could easily enjoy so many other activities, like hiking, swimming, and enjoying the many activities that Middlebury has to offer. The house is gorgeous. The main bedroom, with its breathtaking views and large windows, was like sleeping in a landscape painting. And the master bathroom, with its jacuzzi tub that overlooked the lake, just added to our relaxation. Finally, your own accommodations never failed to make us feel more welcome. Whether it was sharing songs with us on your porch or coming by to make sure that the outlets had safety plugs to ensure that our 1-year old was unharmed, we felt like we were well taken care of. Thank you again for a lovely vacation. It was exactly what we needed. PERFECT GETAWAY! - 5 STARS! My wife and I stayed here over Christmas together with another group of friends. It was one of the best trips we've had. The host Barbara was very helpful and the house was newly built, renovated and everything was perfect! On our way to the house, my car got stuck in the snow and couldn't move up one of the hills in VT. I called Barbara and Barbara immediately offered to help me find an alternate path. Within a few minutes, she got back to me and helped me find my way there. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and well-prepared for our arrival. Dishes were dry, the floor was clean, and everything else was in perfect order. Barbara gave us a tour around the house and introduced us to all the games and activities available. She also gave us a very good introduction to the nearby ski resorts and cities, where we could go for ice fishing etc. The wireless internet signal was also a little weak but Barbara helped to realign the wireless router such that I could get internet access on both floors of the house. The next day, Barbara referred me to a few nearby mechanics so I could get snow tires. When I arrived there they ran out of snow tires and Barbara immediately helped me call up several other stores nearby and when I arrived, I realized that Barbara and even asked them for a special discount on my behalf! We had a really good time. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is newly built, so everything is in perfect working order. The jacuzzi on the second floor is superb. But the best thing about this house is its view. Situated by Lake Champlain, it has an amazing view of the lake and the Adirondack Mountains on the other side. We arrived late at night and so we couldn't see the lake, but when we woke up the next morning, all four of us went "WOAHHHHHHH". It's truly insane. We only wished that we went in the summer, for we could not go out boating. Perfect place for a getaway and worth every penny. Rating: 5 STARS! • I can't think of a single thing that could be improved. Barbara thought of everything- from kitchen utensils to board games, the house is stocked with everything you could possible imagine needing. It was sparkling clean. The views are beautiful. It was a perfect romantic get-away! Barbara met us at the door to give a very thorough tour as we arrived. She's friendly and attentive; I immediately felt like I was in good hands. She even gave us a quick billiards lesson! 😆 Can't recommend this place highly enough.

  • My husband and I highly recommend Barbara’s place for your Lake Champlain getaway. The home is beautiful and impeccably clean. The views are magnificent. Barb’s local tips cover all of the must see and do while in Vermont. When not out and about, you can enjoy warmth by the wood burning stove or a table game down in the basement game room. Barb takes pride in her home and makes you feel like a friend upon arrival.

  • Kelli has a great place. It’s so beautiful even in wintertime. It’s incredibly clean and she is very quick to respond to any and all questions.

  • Kelli’s apartment was perfect. We loved the view of Lake Champlain from the living room window. Location was convenient to the local breweries in South Burlington, Champaign Chocolate factory, etc., and a short drive to the center of Burlington. Wish we had planned for a longer stay.

This light and bright apartment is located on the second floor of a large home. You will be just two blocks from Church street, a number of downtown venues, and a 10 minute walk to the lake. This an ideal space to stay if you want to explore everything the city of Burlington has to offer without needing to drive anywhere! -Please note that the apartment is up a flight of slightly steep outdoor stairs.
This is a one bedroom apartment with all of the amenities you would expect from your own living space. The apartment has an open floor plan with a sitting area for reading and hanging out, and a dining table for meals or to work at. The sofa folds out into a bed (larger than a twin but smaller than a full: perfect for 1 extra person, two smaller people, or kids). The kitchen comes equipped with a fridge, a gas stove, and there are plenty of utensils and cookware to prepare food in the apartment if you choose to stay in. Coffee and tea will alway be provided for you. The bedroom is light and cozy with a glass door that leads out to a small seasonal balcony. The mattress is a pillow top queen mattress that will be set up with cotton sheets and a plush comforter. The television is a 40inch flat screen smart T.V. and is located in the bedroom so that you can lounge and watch your shows in bed (like a hotel room!). The bathroom has a stall shower and hardwood floors.
  • Kathleen's place is a cozy spot just about a block away from the fantastic restaurants and shops on Church street. Very clean, cute, and well kept. I enjoyed my stay! My only issues were that the walls are thin, and you can hear the neighbors do just about everything and the shower is very small. Despite my best efforts, I got water all over the floor. Overall, these were minor issues, and I would definitely here stay again.

    Josselyn2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect. It was cozy and quaint, but never felt cramped. The perfect space for a few people looking to get some rest while exploring a beautiful city. I appreciated Kathleen’s clear directions and all of the local suggestions on the chalkboard hanging in the apartment! The only thing that might pose a problem for some are the stairs to get into the apartment, as they’re a bit steep and narrow, but it didn’t bother us. The apartment was very clean and tidy. I would 100% stay here again!

    Shannon2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was a nice, low frills place to stay within walking distance of Church Street. Just what we were looking for!

    Lilly2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen’s place was cozy and comfortable. After a great dinner downtown we enjoyed a night in watching a movie. Bed was comfortable, and has all the amenities you need for a place to stay.

  • Kathleen’s place is adorable and cozy! The location is perfect- you can walk to church street and UVM’s campus- would definitely recommend!

    Carol2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot, so close to town! Clean and just what I needed :)

    Cassandra2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kathleen’s place was as described and shown in the photos, very cute, cosy, clean, and centrally located! Check-in and communication were also really easy, we’d definitely stay at her place again! A+

  • This location was a great place for 2 people to stay if you are visiting Burlington for the first time. The best part about it has to be the proximity to the most popular spots in town.

Quiet fully equipped single bedroom apartment located just two blocks from downtown Burlington. It's within walking distance of church street, UVM and the Medical Center, the waterfront, and less than hour from Stowe mountain.
This is a one bedroom/studio apartment located 2 blocks from Church Street. The apartment itself is stocked with coffee and tea, but if you're looking for more than that in the morning just a block away is the Barrio Bakery, where you can get lovely pastries and lattes. In the evening if you're looking for music and dinner, you're just a block away from one of Burlington's best night clubs and restaurants The Radio Bean, where there is live music almost every night. The kitchen is well equipped with utensils, dishes, a coffee maker, a refrigerator for food storage, and a stove. There is a private entrance, queen bed, equipped kitchen, bath with shower (no tub), off-street parking, WiFi, hairdryer, and a futon sofa that folds flat for a third/fourth guest. In addition to having one guaranteed parking spot, which will seem quite a luxury during a snow storm when street parking is prohibited, we also have a wonderful shady yard (not fenced in) for relaxing in. For no additional fee we allow pets to stay with you and the yard is a convenient place to hang out with a pup.
The Old North End is what makes Burlington, Burlington. With great local dining options only a short walk in any direction.
  • Could not beat location. Went skiing at Stowe and it was an easy drive 50min to the mountain. Came back and went out in Burlington at night and walked everywhere. Great stay overall

    Pj2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Steep stairs( properly reported by Dave) free coffee was a nice touch. Also the left over food being donated to the local food co op is an awesome idea! Wish more places did this! Short walk to town center. Very much as advertised

  • This is a very nice and accurate place if you are staying with your couple. It had everything we needed, was a warm place an well located (8 minute walk to downtown). We had a really good time.

    Ana Lucía2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Dave’s place is very cute and cozy! The shower is bigger than it appears in the photo, plenty of space! Great quiet location and easy to find. It’s close enough to walk to downtown Burlington while being just far enough from the noise and commotion.

    Katie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very cozy place to stay. We felt like we were right at home. It was a perfect place to rest after full days of adventuring. Although we already had places in mind to visit while we were staying in Burlington, it was nice to see menus and recommendations left out on the kitchen table by the host. This apartment is in a great location. It’s within walking distance from downtown Burlington and other notable eateries and such. We would definitely come back again.

  • Nice location, very comfortable

Welcome to 18 Lake. Situated in beautiful, quiet, Port Kent, NY., this is the perfect place to relax and to get away. People come from all across the country to tour the area on bicycles in summer, and from all over the world during the winter for Lake Placid's winter sports. In fall, the colors are incredible. You will find golf about 1/2 mile away, and other attractions such as Ausable Chasm, High Falls Gorge, orchards, boating, hiking, and more close by!
There are train tracks located in between the house and the lake. You must either really love trains, or should be someone who sleeps fairly soundly. Though we have gotten used to the train whistles/horns, a newcomer to the experience may find the occasional noise disturbing. Some nights there are up to three trains that pass, and some nights there are none at all. It's just something that you should know in advance and keep in mind as you decide where to book. Also, like many homes in upstate New York and Burlington, this home was built without air conditioning. Sure, there are a couple of box fans in the home, but if the weather forecast is for high eighties, and you don't like being warm, you may wish to book elsewhere. There is a one-car garage, but no remote, so you will have to enter the house and press a button to open the garage. Entry is through the front-door, which has an electronic keypad, a code for which you will be provided prior to your arrival.
Port Kent is an extremely quiet, close-knit and friendly community. If you plan on having some manner of big, loud, late-night celebration, you should probably look elsewhere. We have a nice little beach, a tennis court, and a small playground, all within walking distance.
  • The sunset overlooking lake Champlain with mt Mansfield in the background was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Spent the weekend hiking close by mountains. The train going by wasn’t a huge deal, slept through most of it.

  • Lovely clean place with a nice view.

  • My family and I stayed at Marco's Place last week. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is exactly as shown in the listing. Had great experience with booking and all contact with Marco. He always responded immediately to my questions and was very accommodating. It is a beautiful house and in a great location. You can definitely say the house has a million dollar view. It's magnificent seeing Lake Champlain and Vermont's mountains in the distance. It's so tranquil and serene. Marco's Place was very clean, warm and comfortable. It's spacious and stocked with everything you need. The garage came in handy when it snowed. There's even a snow showel and deicer in the garage. Marco thought of everything! The only minor negative thing that comes to mind is that the second bedroom has bunk beds which is great if you have kids, but not too good when vacationing with another couple. There was a train whistle sometimes at night, but it didn't seem to bother our sleep. Marco did forewarn before and after booking. Marco and Nicole are great hosts and have a lovely home. I would definitely book there again.

    Anna2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This view is breathtaking, the pictures don’t do it justice. You really have to stay here to understand. The house was fully stocked to say the least, with bandaids, disinfectant wipes, plastic bags etc. All the little things you wouldn’t think to pack yourself. Marco and Nicole were extremely accommodating and basically gave us everything we asked for (within reason of course). The house is also bigger then what meets the eye. I can’t wait to see what they are going to do with it once the renovations are finished. It’s the perfect quiet little get away. The city of Plattsburgh is about a 20 minute drive from the cabin with a Walmart, Family Dollar and target for anything you would need. Au Sable which is only a 10 minute drive away from the cabin is a beautiful little landmark that’s worth visiting. Very relaxing even with the trains passing by, we weren’t really bothered by the noise. I would definitely stay here again!

    Ashley2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give 6/5 stars, I would. The place is incredible, the view is great, the hosts are amazing and the value is unbeatable.

Thoughtful decoration, the technology in the space was very useful, plus small details like snacks and tea available for us, made it feel like home away from home.

A perfect romantic getaway! Close to everything with the best coffee in town right next door, a short ride or a 20 minute walk from downtown parks, bars and shopping. A 10 minute walk from waterfront restaurants, event cruises, festivals, and scenic bike path. From the loft window you'll have a lovely lake view (and oh... sunsets!) or just lie around enjoying the ambiance of this magical space. Great place for couples, solo adventurers, business folk, families (please, mind the stairs) and pets!
*Now with air-conditioning!* You will be staying on the third floor, so please be ready for stairs! The front door will lead you to a stairwell to the second floor where you will enter apartment 3. You'll find the bathroom and kitchen on this level. Please enjoy complimentary tea and locally roasted coffee in the cupboards and feel free to utilize any other food or beverage you find, it's all for you! The kitchen is so lovely and bright, with a surge protector strip complete with built in USB hook-ups, it's an ideal place to set up your laptop for a quiet and comfortable workspace. The bathroom holds that old New England charm; quite cozy with cast iron sink and tub, and a color scheme designed to appeal and invigorate. Please be careful when using the bathtub as it's quite a big step to enter the claw foot. But feel free to indulge and enjoy a soak you won't regret! Towels, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, hand soap and lotion are all provided. Last you will climb one more staircase to the epic and amazing loft space. On your way up you can enjoy the gallery of artwork on display. Works created by me, Zelde Grimm, and Kara Torres, another local Burlington artist. If you have any interest in purchasing any of the work you see, don't hesitate to contact me at any time. Or, you can buy prints and greeting cards of all my work next door at Scout & Co coffee house. Now, please take care on these stairs as they are a bit steep and the ceiling is angled. In fact, the whole space is full of interesting and unusual angles. It's such a unique and curious room, you're sure to never see one quite like it! Enjoy a seat by the window to read a book or people watch. Relax on the couch where you have a breathtaking sunset view of Lake Champlain. Lounge in the pillow den, on the floor cushions or a bean bag chair (lights throughout the curtains are controlled by a dimmer switch found on the floor behind the brown bean bag and add such amazing ambiance to an already magical space). Or just head straight for the super cozy bed, adorned with enough pillows, blankets and throws to help you sink in and relax completely. And if you need any more blankets, there are more stored in the right side of the couch while the left side pulls out to form a second bed. The lamp by the bed is controlled by a switch found on the nightstand, for your convenience. Spare sheets and pillowcases can be found in the basket at the foot of the bed, if need be. In the closet facing the bed, you'll find clothes hangers, an iron, a suitcase rack, hamper and lidded wicker box holding fresh towels if you're in need of any extra. An ironing board can be found in the closet by the stairs. It is my goal to create more than a simple place to stay, this space is an exercise is luxury and decadence at a reasonable price. I do hope you enjoy your stay as much as I've enjoyed creating it for you. Please, if you're so inclined, sign the guest book and let me know what you love, what you didn't, what I can improve to make your next stay that much more magical!
This lovely spot is conveniently located close enough to town to walk, bike or catch a quick and cheap bus or cab, but far enough from the city center to avoid our sometimes loud and raucous weekend revellers. If you're feeling adventurous, just ask and I'll send you down a lovely wooded path to the lake, or head towards town for ten minutes and take Depot street directly to the waterfront park. On the corner, only a few doors down, you'll find our wonderful local cafe; Scout & Co. featuring some of the very best coffee roasters the area has to offer, along with waffles, house-made ice creams and on weekends and Wednesdays the most delectable locally crafted donuts that are so good and made with such fabulous ingredients you can feel a bit less guilty for indulging. If you're looking for more local hot spots, I've provided a personalized map which you can find on the kitchen table with all my favorite spots! If you have any questions or specific needs, just let me know and I'll direct you as best I can!

Enjoy your visit to Burlington in this spacious and sunny 1 bedroom apartment. This is the perfect spot for those looking to go out and experience the shopping and nightlife of the downtown area. You'll be 1 block away from Church street's shopping and dining, and a 1/2 block away from some of the best bars and live music in town (Radio Bean, Lamp Shop, OP, 3 Kneads). The waterfront is also just a short 10 minute walk through town.
The apartment is designed and stocked to provide you with everything you would expect in a hotel + more. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dining and is always stocked with coffee and tea. Enjoy the record player, a book, or some quiet time on the sofa, this space was decorated lovingly with unique and vintage treasures that all have a history and a story behind them. The bedroom has a queen size bed and a 45" flat screen T.V.. There is hi-speed internet, basic TV channels, and Chromecast, so watching your favorite shows on the TV will be a breeze if you choose to bring your laptop/smartphone. The Bathroom has a claw foot tub for relaxing baths, and towels, washcloths, blow dryer, iron, and ironing board are all provided.
The Olde North End is (perhaps I’m biased) my favorite neighborhood in Burlington. It is close to downtown, but has a more homey and local feel. The neighborhood is home to many artists, musicians, and other creative types. It has a great selection of bars and restaurants that won’t be as busy as the more touristy downtown area (Drifters, Duino, and Butch and Babes are some of my favorite places to eat and grab a drink).
  • Kathleen's place was a dream- not only was the apartment so close to everything but was cozy, quaint, and homey. Would definitely reccomend Kathleen's place to anyone who wants comfort/affordability and to be in the heart of Burlington. It was amazing and my fiancé and I had a wonderful stay! Thank you Kathleen!

  • The location of the apartment is perfect! Everything you need is within walking distance of the apartment, including City Market, which is awesome for fresh groceries and pre-made foods. The apartment itself is cozy as can be with a comfortable bed and chrome cast TV. The living space was ample and decorated nicely with some funky touches. It even has a claw foot tub ... a glass of wine, some candles and a good relaxing soak!!! You'll love it! Check in was a breeze ... Kathleen gave us perfect instructions and although we didn't meet our host, we knew she was there if we needed her! I would not hesitate to go back!

    Marie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location and lovely, intimate space. Bedroom is right on the street which was slightly noisy but the bed was very comfortable and communication very good. It could not have been better situated to enjoy Burlington in the winter time. Kathleen even allowed a bit of flexibility for check out. Lovely stay! We would definitely stay again.

  • Had a wonderful weekend stay at Kathleen's place! Ideal location, just a few minute walk from the heart of downtown Burlington. Easy check-in and check-out, plenty of space for two people, and loved that the door had suggestions for restaurants, things to do, etc. written on it. Would definitely recommend this place!

Located at the junction of the Green Mountains and the Champlain Valley, this quiet space sits on 70 forested acres. A quick drive to Brandon, Middlebury College, Lake Dunmore, and the Green Mountain National Forest, this is the perfect home base. Enjoy nature in this secluded space and discover what Addison County has to offer from an easy to access location. Explore nearby lakes and plenty of trails, and events and culture are just down the road.
Spring and summer in Vermont are truly glorious. The cabin was built as a hunting camp by a logging firm that harvested timber here. We have built our home on the property and updated the cabin with plenty of amenities. The cabin is a nice balance of rustic, cozy, and comfortable, and we take pride in the beauty of this place.
Plenty to do nearby! Rutland and Middlebury Farmers' Markets, Wood's Garden Market, Champlain and Douglas Orchards, Falls of Lana, Silver Lake, Branbury State Park, Goshen Dam, shops and restaurants in Middlebury and Brandon, Rutland's Paramount Theater, Cattails Restaurant, Texas Falls, Route 100 Scenic Highway, Mount Independence Historic Site and Fort Ticonderoga, rivers and mountains galore! Still a working forest, the property is home to a plethora of wildlife, hosting two beaver dams and a designated deer wintering area. There are some trails here on the property, and plenty of outdoor space for you to enjoy. Enjoy colorful sunsets as herons, ducks, and geese fly in for the evening, or spend the evening out in the cultural centers of Brandon or Middlebury. Bring, rent or borrow a boat and spend the day at nearby Lake Dunmore, Fern Lake, or Sugar Hill Reservoir; make the stunning 1 hour drive up to Burlington for the day for cool shops and great restaurants; or pick fresh Vermont fruits and berries with views of Lake Champlain. The Moosalamoo Recreation area is right in our backyard. There is so much to do around here, you may not want to leave!
  • We had the most wonderful time at the cabin! Mark and Catie are fantastic hosts who gave us really great directions for finding them, which we did easily. The location is incredibly peaceful, and we loved seeing the chickens outside the cabin! The cabin is so cosy and sparkling clean, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook a lovely dinner. The fireplace made the cabin very warm and relaxing too. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, and the maple syrup left in the kitchen for us was delicious. I couldn’t rate our stay more highly - I would return in a heartbeat!

  • The cabin was cozy and clean and near a lot of great hiking trails. The hosts left plenty of information about stuff to do locally and were very helpful!

  • Cute and cozy cabin on a beautiful little farm. Perfect for a quintessential New England getaway. Mark and Catie were super hospitable and friendly, we can’t wait to return for another trip!

  • This is the perfect cabin in the woods. It was our first time using the grill and we had no idea what we were doing, but our lovely hosts helped us get the fire going. Chicken came out great btw. Beautiful clean kitchen, spotless bathroom, trendy and homey feeling. The bed was soooo comfortable. Super clean, super private and quiet. Best sleep we've had in a LONG time. They also provided us with a list of places to see and do nearby. Loved this place, will come back!

    Tania2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. Mark and Catie are exceptional hosts and quick to respond. My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at the cabin during our ski trip. The fresh eggs and nice touches within the cabin were fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Must stay cabin!

  • Our second stay and it was just as great as the first time! This time we had time to walk the trails and visit Mark in his sugarhouse. The thoughtful touches such as the eggs and syrup were much appreciated. We can’t wait to plan our next getaway!

We did have the water freeze up overnight, but was fixed ASAP. The hosts were very kind and were accommodating us when and if needed. Will definitely stay here again!

From the moment we got there we couldn’t believe that was it. Every single detail in the cabin is stunning. We had a great time relaxing and enjoying the view especially by the fire pit. • Our stay in the "minouche" cabin was beyond my expectations. The cabin was perfect and waking up to that view every morning was truly amazing. Our puppy loved his stay as well, plenty of room for him to roam around outside. Marilyn and Mitch were amazing host, quick to respond and were spot on with their tips on local eaters and breweries.

    Mary2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Minouche is so cute and was such a delight to stay in. It was clean, had great amenities (grill, fire pit) and the view of Lake Champlain is amazing. Marilyn and her husband are so kind and gave us great suggestions for what to visit in the local area. We would definitely go back!

    Alexandra2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Minouche Cabin was everything we expected and more. Marilyn and Mitch were very welcoming and gave us plenty of great tips about the area. They provided all the amenities one could ask for and they even threw in some breakfast items for us to enjoy. The views from our porch is amazing and loved the fact that we were able to sit out there every morning to enjoy our coffee while soaking in the surroundings. 10/10 would recommend in a heartbeat.

  • 5+ stars! The place couldn’t have been cuter or cozier, and it’s right in the middle of everything. Parking and check in were a breeze and we were able to walk everywhere. I bet the screened in porch is great in the summer. Super clean, great amenities, and a welcome note/wine were above and beyond. Also, random but important detail—not sure if the water is just better in Vermont, but it made my hair look great all weekend! Thank you both, we’ll be back!!

  • Super cozy and comfortable, amazing view!! Open floor plan and tons of space, I can only imagine how perfect it would be for a summer getaway. However it was great off season as well!

  • Great cottage and view!

    Nancy2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time staying at Poulin Shores. We all always have the best time. Chris is an amazing host and responds to any questions so quickly. The cabin is located on a quite street and the lake views are breath taking. Thanks so much for letting us share your little slice of heaven.

    Jonathan2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a great place to stay in a perfect location make sure you give this place a shot. Chris is a great host and was very helpful with things to do around the area. The cottage is clean and very spacious and was a lot bigger than we expected, The bed we slept on was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for all you need to prepare a meal. We also loved the firepit by the water which was a great end to our day, Grocery shopping was also only a ten minute drive to town. This was our first trip to Vermont for fall foliage which was spectacular anywhere we went. We visited Stowe, Burlington, Winooski, Montpelier, Waterbury, St. Albans, Swanton, Malletts Bay, Colchester and Cambridge to name a few. We also took a Gondola ride to the top of Mt. Mansfield which was breathtaking to see all of color of the trees and is a must do if coming to Vermont to see fall foliage. Thank you to Chris for providing us with a perfect first trip to Vermont!!

    Vincent2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • You simply won’t find a more peaceful place to stay! Such an amazing value, so much space and bigger than photos capture. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, and the scenery cannot be beat. In fact, we went on a “scenic” train ride tour in Burlington and said to ourselves “we should have stayed at the cabin, we have better scenery there!”. We ate all our meals by the water, had coffee in the screened in porch every morning, woke up in the front bedroom to sunrise over the lake, and had cozy fires at night. If you’re looking for somewhere fancy this isn’t the place, but if you’re looking for somewhere simple, clean, and relaxing don’t miss the chance to stay here!

    Jenna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was in good working condition and you need nothing . House description and amenities are all very accurate!. Wonderful place right on the water. I couldn't have ask for anything better! Chris was very responsive! Thank you again

    Michael2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Chris's cabin! It is clean and spacious with lots of thoughtful storage (hooks, baskets, dressers, etc.) and decorative touches. Our daughter loved climbing on the rocks on the side of the beach and we loved eating dinner on the deck. The screened porch was great in the evening when we wanted to avoid mosquitoes and the large backyard was great for our four-year-old. With a washer and dryer, a well-stocked kitchen, and some recreational items (board games, canoe, etc.), we had everything we needed for a relaxing week at the lake. Great location, too, with superb views of the sunset.

  • Great location if you want to go to Plattsburgh! The beach and the city center are nearby. Very small and functional. Host available and welcoming!

    Eliane2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole's place was the perfect spot for my wife and I to spend a week exploring Plattsburgh and the surrounding area. She was an excellent host - super helpful and very communicative! You can tell she loves hosting! The private beach is a short walk from the house and it was nice to come back every day and relax by a fire, overlooking the lake and the mountains in the distance. The location is awesome, too - the ferry to Vermont is 5 minutes from here and there's plenty of other things to do and see within an hour drive from the house. As she says on here, the house is small, but it's totally adequate for people just needing a place to stay! For the price, you definitely can't beat it!

    Jenna2019-09-06T00:00:00Z

Escape to the country at Stoneledge Farm, a restored organic farm on Lake Champlain. The separate unit features an open-plan layout living area, exposed architectural wood beams, pops of color, chic furnishings and decor, and lake views.
We welcome our guests with hotel quality towels, bed linens and bathroom toiletries. The kitchen is stocked with fresh eggs from our chickens, local milk and VT Coffee!
The property is located in the country, home to dirt roads, lush fields, and beautiful views, but is conveniently located just 15-20 minutes from several quaint small towns.
  • This little house is super charming with so much character! We had a wonderful time walking around the area and it is convenient to both Middlebury and Burlington. Mika made us (and our baby and our dog) feel very welcome. She had great suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. We also really enjoyed the fresh eggs from her chickens!

    Rachel2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Mika’s cottage. The property is beautiful and everything was clean. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We will definitely be back!

  • I care here with my fiancée and almost 2 year old lab and we felt like we were in paradise. Everything couldn’t have been more perfect. From a super easy check in process, all the amenities and comforts you need to feel at home, tons and tons of amazing suggestions of things to do, this was just one of the best stays we’ve had. Mika, her family, and housekeeper Sara went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The fresh eggs are amazing! We took the recommendation to hike Mt Philo and couldn’t agree more. The best part of the trip was just staying in the property and spending time outside with our pup and all the sheep, gots, llamas and chickens. A perfect place to come with your dog for sure. All in all, we are definitely coming back if this place is available again. 10/10!

    Adnan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous property! The cabin has beautiful views of the woods/Camel’s Hump/lake. Thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable bed. We visited with an infant and a dog and had enough space for a large dog crate and a pack & play. The bathroom door in the bedroom doesn’t close - it wasn’t a big deal to us but it might be to other guests. We also couldn’t figure out how to close the door between the master bedroom & the living room. Kitchen is well stocked - there’s only 1 burner (hot plate). Plenty of plates/cutlery/cooking tools. Toaster & oven available. The cabin was very warm throughout our stay. Mika provided a lot of wonderful local suggestions of things to do and she was available via text throughout our stay (she responded very quickly). The cabin is close to the main house - consider this if you want complete privacy. Approximately 30 min from Burlington. I strongly recommend this stay if you’re looking for a modern farmhouse feel near Lake Champlain!

  • Mika (+ Animal Friends), Thank you so much for sharing your slice of paradise with us. We adored every detail, and the thoughtful gestures of great hospitality around the property and cottage were flawless- you're a true hostess. Kept your animal family well loved and fed- even enjoyed some farm chores when straw bales was delivered, walked with the sheep out to pasture in the snow and gathered eggs. Already missing the beautiful winter sunsets - but looking forward to our return, hopefully in the summertime. Thank you for allowing us to get some rest in this truly peaceful place! 'til soon, Katie & Meg

    Katie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Mika's farm is a wonderful place to stay. Gorgeous scenery and the guest cottage is lovely. It is very clean and you have everything you need. We will definitely be going back.

    Casey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mika's place was wonderful! Mika herself was very personable. We enjoyed that it's on a farm and that she encouraged us to interact with the animals, which our 1 year old loved. Also loved that we were allowed to bring our 1 year old as he was not allowed in some of our other inquiries. Location is great for guests looking to be off the beaten path but still close enough ( by car) to a town to gather necessities. Beautiful lake within walking distance. Cottage looked exactly as pictured with many games and a selection of classic novels to keep anyone busy. There is a thermostat in almost all rooms! Big plus! You also get fresh organic eggs from her farm with your stay. The bed was super comfortable. Personal amenities, shampoo etc are all plant based! Kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities you need to prepare a meal, pots, pans, knives, microwave, toasted oven, fridge, you name it. There are even a few food items included. TV has lots of channels. Overall it was exactly what we were looking for, would definitely go back!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful Vermont farmhouse. Even on a frigid weekend the place felt warm and like home after a busy day. Mika was always responsive and very thoughtful with the decorations and little touches such as fresh eggs and chocolate. We will definitely be back to see how different the farm looks in the summer! Absolutely recommend a stay at this unique homestead.

Gorgeous country retreat between Burlington and Middlebury. A "dimensionally transcendental" space (per Dr. Who: bigger on the inside ;o) built as an artist's studio, located in a meadow bordered by woods and a wide creek on 22 acres, magical in all seasons. When you arrive you might think you're at the wrong house, as the exterior keeps its secrets. When you walk in, the soaring cathedral ceiling and back walls of windows frame a unique space: artistic, rustic, beautiful, and very comfy.
One large, 2-story room with two double beds: a bed on the main floor with a firm mattress, and a comfy futon on the sleeping loft. There's a well-equipped kitchen perfect for making romantic dinners, with an under-the-counter fridge and commercial range installed in Spring 2016. There are both electric and drip coffee set-ups, and a toaster. No microwave. A large dining table (made by a local furniture building from local wood) for the amazing dinners you'll make, or to spread out your work and find inspiration. The center of the space holds a comfy "living room" area to hang out in; the couch can also serve as a bed for 1. The cozy bedroom corner on the main floor and the futon on the sleeping loft make for dreamy night sleeps, both have fans and windows to stay cool in the summer. The recently renovated bathroom has an antique claw-foot tub, with a removable plank "desk" for your book and glass of wine. There is a radio & CD player, and iPod/Phone hook-up, wireless internet, and a land line. As you can see from the reviews, it's a very special place, intimate in size but expansive in feel, because of the cathedral ceiling and wall of windows with a view onto the meadow, creek, and sunset. It's a beautiful artistic/rustic interior, quirky, with a high level of comfort, many lovely rugs, and a lot of art. Perfect for an active vacation, a romantic get-away, or a creative, spiritual, or rejuvenating retreat. Please note: It's country living, and there is wildlife in the area. You may see snakes, mice, spiders, ants, bees, ticks, deer, and even a bear. the Leave all food either in the fridge or in the plastic container near the back door. If you leave food out on the counter, it will attract mice and ants. There is usually tick spray in the house, as well as information on how to remove them. You may well not experience any of the above!
Great natural beauty with an intimate scale. Covered bridges, rolling hills, swimming holes, x-country ski trails, fresh eggs for sale across the road. A vibrant creek (actually a small river) borders the land with easy access for wading, swimming, and fishing. The neighborhood (accessible by car) also has cafés, restaurants, bakeries, markets, hardware, yoga . . . pretty much anything you'll need.
  • I spent 3 days here and it was quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. Hinesburg is ~ 5 miles away and has a very nice grocery store and pharmacy. Janie was quick to respond and made check in and check out a breeze. I highly recommend her cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful VT retreat.

    Kyle2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Janie's "cabin" is in a beautiful location and has a charm beyond words. It is spacious and cozy and wonderfully located in the countryside but within easy reach of Burlington, Vergennes and Shelbourne. It's rustic but very comfortable. Well worth a visit.

    Mark2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy space with nice views and good hills for sledding in winter. Area is beautiful.

    Jeyme2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really cute and cozy cabin, was a perfect getaway space. Kitchen has basic things needed for cooking, but not very good lighting for cooking in the evening. We were able to take a short walk behind the cabin which was very pleasant. It's at least a 15-20 minute drive to get anywhere, but the scenery of the drive is beautiful.

    Joy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Janie's place. It is in a beautiful area of Vermont with farmland all around and about 30 min away from Burlington for great food options and views of lake Champlain. Thanks again for a great visit!

    Marc2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Such a relaxing and unique place! Janie was so thoughtful and very communicative. The place stayed nice and cozy even with the chilly conditions and falling snow outside. Highly recommended.

    Myles2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home, super private and serene! Amazing getaway location!

    Rj2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Janie’s cabin was the perfect weekend getaway. Close enough to the city to enjoy quiet a few breweries all within a half hour drive but far enough away to disconnect and enjoy time with the people you are traveling with. We can’t wait to make it back there !

  • I felt completely at home in James' space. While the space is small (accurate to the listing), it's very spacious, bright, and well laid-out. James does a great job of making sure everything you could need is there and communicates quickly, clearly, and fully. From the bedstand note with details about Netflix, to the hair dryer and white noise machine (that thing is a godsend), there wasn't a single thing I needed that wasn't there. The location can't be beat, and the off-street parking was easy. One thing to note is that the bathroom is very small (I couldn't get dressed in there if I wanted to, and it was tough to try to do my makeup within the tight space). With that being said, I'd absolutely look forward to staying at James' place when I'm back in town and looking for some privacy.

    Bethany2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute and very clean place! Love the extra touches of water, tea, and cooking supplies provided. A very romantic place for a couple. James was great with communication and making sure we were all set. Would definitely stay here again.

    Erik2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing and cute apartment! Close to everything and we will definetly be coming back. James was wonderful at responding to our questions. The area was wonderful! Lots of great restos!

    Cherry2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The place is just as described. Everything was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the off street parking. Location is great - close to everything.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here for a one night visit to Burlington and very much enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, quiet, in walking distance to great restaurants and James was a great host. Highly recommend!

I live in this beautiful flat with a cat named Josephine in case either of those facts is a deal breaker. Cosy Yellow is the smaller of the 2 bedrooms available in this Victorian home. It is bright & free of anyone else's clutter. The location is walking distance from downtown and the waterfront. Laundry & Apple TV among other amenities. The breakfast are of the highest quality organic, fair trade and locally sourced food. I can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and grain free diets.
The rooms I offer are on the first floor of a beautiful Victorian House. The landlady lives on the second floor when she is not in Florida.
We are a 5 minute walk from Battery Park where the sunsets are world class. Also just as close is the Burlington Waterfront park, the boathouse, skatepark, fishing pier, sailing club and 8 mile bike path. 10 minutes in the other direction is ChurchStreet MarketPlace which is a 4 block long pedestrian shopping area. Nearby is a wetland walk at the Ethan Allen Homestead, a little further the Ethan Allen Park with trails and a tower for viewing the whole area. There are three parks in close proximity; NorthBeach, Oakledge & RedRocks. I recommend the CityMarket for grocery needs & they have a hot and cold food bar.
  • Absolutely amazing stay. We didn’t expect much from an Airbnb, but Deborah was very thoughtful and one with us. She helped us out with directions and suggestions for our itinerary. She was very kind and sociable. We loved our first trip to Burlington and hope to come back soon.

    Manuel2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay! Deborah is so sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend!

    Ana2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our short stay at Deborah's, especially the comfort of the room, the great breakfast and Josephine the cat! The house is at walking distance from Burlington center, which makes it great if you want to have a stroll and enjoy the shops and restaurants a few blocks away.

    Emil2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Deborah was extremely kind & communicative from the start! Her space is very cute and really gives the authentic Vermont/Burlington ambiance! There were ample outlets in the room, she provided local tips, her home is very close to the waterfront & downtown Burlington. She also made such a delicious breakfast, definitely would recommend!

Welcome to The Barn at Grousewood, on 40 acres of forest in Monkton VT. We are located just 35 minutes from Burlington and 30 minutes from Middlebury. If you are looking for a unique get away, we welcome you to our converted barn. We have great hiking trails for snowshoeing and exploring the woods. The woods are teaming with wildlife. Deer, bear, bobcat, owls, porcupine, wild turkey, grouse and more. Enjoy a fire outside or relax in front of the hearth. Guests must be 25 years old.
We have a kitchenette if you want to cook. Looking for things to do? We are proud to boast that Vermont has the most breweries per capita and is home to one of the largest cideries in the US, Woodchuck Cider located in Middlebury. We also have some great local distilleries and even a few vineyards that remain open in the winter for tastings. If skiing or riding is in your plans, we are anywhere from a 40 to 75 minute drive from such great places as SugarBush, Bolton Valley, Mad River, Stowe, Killington, Pico or the Middlebury College Snowbowl. Visit Bristol, Middlebury or Vergennes for unique Vermont gifts and local art. The barn is a perfect get away. Come and enjoy all that quiet country living in Vermont has to offer.
We live on a dirt road. If you are visiting us in the winter, it would be important for you to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle, or good snow tires to get up our driveway.
  • Kris and Brian's barn is peaceful, comfortable and thoroughly relaxing.

    Karen2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing. The space was perfect and so many things to do but sitting by the fire was preferred. Everything you need to make meals, play games and enjoy yourself is there. Highly recommend. The place had so many cute touches!!

    Amy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable! So many personal touches to the space and outstanding hospitality. Their dog Murphy was a gem.

    Abbie2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent spot for a getaway in the mountains. Kris and Brian thought of everything! The place was clean, and communication was easy. We loved having Murphy greet us, and he got along well with our dog, Daisy. Remember to read through instructions before you arrive though— cell service is spotty when you are in the area.

    Savannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, Grousewood barn is the place to go! We returned for a second stay and brought along our dog! They had a special little doggie bag waiting for her with some treats and a ball! It was a sweet welcome gesture. Kris and Brian’s place is perfect for a cozy trip to unwind and is close to some breweries and delicious restaurants! We enjoyed a day of snowshoeing on their property trails along with their super friendly dog, Murphy! We’ll be returning again and look forward it!

    Michelle2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect little couples getaway! Neat, clean and cozy with funky New England decor. If you're looking for a little taste of VT, you'll find it here. We only wish we could have taken advantage of the outdoor fire pit and Adirondack chairs, but.... we were there in February for Valentine's Day. It was 8 degrees F below zero that night. The Barn is across the driveway from the house, but all windows face away from the house so you do have privacy, and the windows have nice shades. Never met our hosts. They respected out privacy. We did meet Murphy the next morning, and he was very friendly and well behaved. Word of of warning if you visit in winter: the gas fireplace heats the main space well, but the floor remains cold and the bathroom a bit chilly even with the door left open. So bring your woolly socks and slippers, and let your partner warm the toilet seat for you! ;) Again, it was 8 below that night. Hope you enjoy the place

    Peter2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had the BEST stay at Kris and Brian's place. It was the perfect escape from the busy city. We loved exploring their beautiful property and playing with their dog, Murphy. We also appreciated all the cozy decor and thoughtful touches around the barn. We cannot wait to plan our next trip here.

    Heather2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Kris and Brian’s place is nothing short of amazing! Each detail is heartwarming and it can’t be any cozier than it is. We loved hanging out with Murphy and hiking around the property! The fireplace keeps you warm and the comfortable bed has everything you need. We would definitely return.

River House is across from the Winooski Falls and is part of Burlington's historic mill neighborhood. It's a 10 minute walk to the Winooski Circle which is full of restaurants and activity. Downtown Burlington and Lake Champlain are a 10 min (2 mile) drive away. This unique, arty, brand new loft space includes hardwood floors, a small kitchen and bath, and a shared outdoor space. River House is a good fit for couples, close friends, solo adventurers, tiny house lovers and business travelers.
River House was built in the summer of 2017 with its historic mill neighborhood in mind. The original house dates back to the 1890s and you'll see many historic details in the new space such as photos, maps and books. There are funky, arty touches around the house including large paintings and some smaller works by local artists. The house is stocked with all the comforts of home and we hope your stay here will be restful and that you will get a chance to explore the neighborhood. River House is permitted and inspected by the city of Burlington. Many guests love the unique loft space, the garden patio and central location. Some guests don't like the airplane noise and being 2 miles from downtown Burlington. Please note that the AC window unit is removed from Oct 1-May 1. ** If you are interested in staying one night, send me an inquiry. We charge an additional $20 for the extra cleaning time. **
This is a unique historic neighborhood and the river twists through it. Down the street is the Chace Mill which has a vegan cafe and yoga studio. Across the river is the Champlain Mill which has an outdoor restaurant in the summer and further down the river by the dam is the Woolen Mills. And of course, the Winooski Circle has many restaurants to try and is only a 10 minute walk away. We are centrally located and a quick drive/walk to Winooski, the UVM Medical Center, UVM, the Burlington International Airport and downtown Burlington. There are nearby walking trails on the Winooski River Walk, Casavant Natural Area and Centennial Woods. There is tons to do here, come visit!
  • Eva's tiny river house was a wonderful stay, perfect size for 2. The house was super charming and cozy. Burlington and Winooski were both very fun places to explore and Eva's recommendations helped a ton. We will definitely be back to explore some more!

    Stephen2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • The River House is a dream. It is perfect for a couple looking for a unique Burlington getaway. We're thankful to have had the chance to experience the River House. Every aspect was thoughtful from the window curtains to the well stocked bathroom for anything you may have forgotten. I appreciated Eva's taste in products (shampoo, body wash, etc) as they were equal quality you would purchase at home. The record player and swing were some of our favorite touches. The Winooski river was so calming to fall asleep and wake up to. We tried as many of Eva's guestbook recommendations as possible, and none disappointed. We really enjoyed Four Quarters micro brewery and Tiny Thai - just a short stroll over the bridge. Downtown Burlington was also a short ~6 minute drive to explore endlessly.

  • Such the perfect little spot for two! Clean and full of small things that make the difference! Easy checkin, checkout made our stay perfect! We used this as our base of operations for our ski trip. Within an hour of major slopes! Could not be more pleased!

  • Great stay in Burlington! This was our first time not staying in a hotel. Up to this point we have been staying at Hotel Vermont. Would definitely choose Fiona’s place again. It was so homey and convenient. We loved having the fenced in yard for our dog and there were even dog bowls and a bed provided for him. Fiona really went above and beyond with personal touches. Even notes around the apartment were in frames - so classy! Great stay - we will definitely be back! Thanks, Fiona and Matt!

  • Amazing location, easy walk to downtown and church street. And having a fenced back yard that my dogs could use was just excellent too. Thanks for all the special touches (the dog dishes, treats and dog bed was so thoughtful!) and you are right, the coffee was very good!

Rockhaven, a romantic getaway is a rare find. Step back in time and enjoy almost 600' of lake shore on Vermont's unique Lake Champlain with 180 degree views, from westerly views to New York's Adirondacks, through the north and east to Vermont's Green Mountains. This private site is 2 acres with mature trees, meadows, and wooded buffers, ensuring a peaceful and private stay. There are two cottages available; they can be rented separately or together. Each is one bedroom with private bath.
Rockhaven Island view , a one bedroom cottage furnished with a king size bed, is located in a private setting with magnificent views of the lake. The cottage features a beautifully appointed bathroom with walk-in tiled shower. A convenient kitchenette includes a coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, and sink. The sitting area is adjacent to the spa and is well lit and furnished with comfortable chairs. Spa Cottage guests have exclusive access to an indoor dry sauna as well a private deck.
The Lake Champlain Islands are an outdoor lover's paradise , with State park , beaches, farms and orchards . The region allure is due in no small part to the effort of initiatives such as South Hero island trust and the isle la Motte preservation to eschew Commercial development . There are hundreds of acres of wildlife 's refuges, in Particular The Missiquoi and Sand Bar protected area important for migratory birds . Cyclists are everywhere , the terrain is mostly flat , there is little traffic , the lake attracts boating enthusiasts and anglers for trout , walleye , perch ,land lock salmon and bass . When you emerge from the trees onto causeway, the views are breathtaking . If you think as Lake Champlains as an "away" sort of place , you will love to stay in our cottage ( Island View or Kibbe point Cottage ) , truly others and away . Take it all wending along Kibbe farm road , private road , dead end at our property , no car traffic , no house view , only the green Mountain, Adirondacks , , the sparkling Lake and field . Everything conspire to slow you down .
  • Catherine and Tom have created a very private romantic lakeside getaway cottage in a peaceful part of Lake Champlain with stunning sunset views. But, as if the setting was not spectacular enough, the cottage is great. It is cozy and comfortable with amenities and décor that is both rustic and sophisticated. Catherine is the consummate host. We reveled in her European charm and sense of hospitality. Over the past few years, the Champlain Islands has become our favorite Vermont getaway with its scenic splendor, great dining and warm hospitality. It is now even more so thanks to our discovery of Rock Haven Cottage. Book it. You will not be disappointed.

    Ron2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine is a gracious host. She gave us tons of great recommendations. Her cabin has an amazing view and is perfectly located to enjoy the lake, wineries, orchards, hiking, and Burlington. She shares her bikes, her kayaks, and her firewood. The property is very well kept, with little charming details throughout. One thing to note that is not clear in the photos is that the cabin has a unique layout. The kitchen, small living room, shower, and first toilet are completely separated from the bedroom and half bath. You have to walk outside on the deck to get from one part of the cabin to the other. We had great weather so this wasn’t a problem for us at all, but just something to know before you go.

    Brianna2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine & Tom’s cottage has beautiful lake views and amazing sunsets!! A peaceful retreat to unwind a read a book. They recommended restaurants and things to do in neighboring towns. All were very good. They were very responsive with any questions. We were greeted by Tom and their dog, Lucy, who was very friendly! We will recommend to friends & family, and hope to return the next time we are in the area!

    Jackie2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little rustic space right on the lake. You can’t beat the views and Catherine provides all the amenities needed for a complete unplugged holiday. There’s no TV which we loved because it gave us more time to read and enjoy the quiet atmosphere. It’s completely private which was the best feature, and it actually feels like your camping given all the outside space, pine trees, the dock and location. It’s close to town should you need restaurants or other conveniences. Catherine is a great host and excellent communicator, and we’d stay here again if back in the area.

    Roy2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect get away to unplug and unwind. Great biking trails with nearby farms and winery. Kayaking out on the lake was so peaceful and provided spectacular views! Catherine and Tom were inviting and helpful, provided great suggestions for our stay. Would definitely recommend!

    Neil2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and views! Very clean and great hospitality. We used the paddle board and kayaks on the beautiful lake. Will definitely be back and will not hesitate to refer friends and family.

    Maggie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time. Such an amazing location. Our dog was ecstatic. From chasing sticks in the yard to playing in the lake, she had a great time. We did too. Beautiful sunsets. So peaceful. Catherine is such a great host. This was our second visit. We'll be back.

    Charlie2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine and Tom have a gem of a place. It’s rustic, but the deck is the best part—it was hard to leave it even to go out for dinner. Bike riding and kayaking were excellent. We will be back...

    Megan2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The view is unbelievable on a clear day. Waking up and sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee while the water lapped at the shore was the highlight of the day for me. I highly suggest taking advantage of this adorable cabin if you get the opportunity.

    Michael2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • All of our emails were answered very quickly and location is as described. The cottage contains all necessary amenities an and we were pleasantly surprised to even find fresh spring water in bottles for use. The cottage is more than a hundred years old and well taken care of: a very charming place. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and the peace and quiet so relaxing. We‘ll be back!

Guest's will enjoy a large private guest room and private bathroom in our personal home where my partner Jay and I live with our friendly dog Riley. We love animals although at this time our dog is not comfortable with other dogs in the house. Guest's will have access to the kitchen for breakfast, the living room, front porch, walking trails, outdoor fire pit complete with star gazing in the warmer months. Please communicate your dinner time if requesting to use the kitchen. Thank you.
Our log cabin is an authentic hand built Vermont home with wood fires and a casual, cozy decor. We have a private master bedroom with bath for our personal use and a large private bedroom and bath for our guest's. The guest room is up stairs and the guest bathroom is downstairs. The stairs are steep but supplied with hand rails on both sides.
Secluded and private yet located close to the village of Bristol, Vergennes, Middlebury and Burlington. Ideal location for enjoying local activities and getting away at the end of the day. Many choices for hiking, biking, shopping, wineries, galleries, museums, and farmer's markets.
  • Amazingly clean and close to so many local towns as well as touristic attractions. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. I was looking at so many places and couldn’t find anything better. Thank you Ellen and Jay!

  • This was our first experience with air bnb and it was wonderful. Ellen’s home is cozy and relaxing. Very clean. Ellen and Jay where very helpful with suggestions of sites to see. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to going back in the spring.

  • Guests at Ellen & Jay can expect sunsets & solitude, that is great views of starry skies and mountains, quietness while walking their trails or relaxing with a book by the wood stove. Our hosts were present to our needs, although very respectful of our privacy. Highly recommended.

  • Wonderful place, and location, and very clean. Nice and quiet neighborhood, but still very close to downtown Burlington. Just a really nice stay.

  • Jonathan was extremely helpful and kind! Great spot, had all the amenities and extra little things that made the stay special! Would recommend!

    Sylvan2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jonathan’s was great and we’d definitely stay here again in the future. Quick responses, easy check in and everything as it was described in the listing.

    Sven2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • You get the best of two worlds at Jonathan's. Privacy and the feeling of being in the trees, and minutes from downtown events, breweries, Flynn Center, eateries. There is a combination of rustic -- wood walls, loft, with lovely, fun plates, gold plated silverware (it works, really) and top notch extras in teas coffee, olive oils, even bathroom extras. There's a line from a musical "My life is simply grand, my silverware is gold . . ." Yep. That 'bout captures it!

    Judy2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan’s place is cozy and quaint. It feels like a treehouse with beautiful picture windows looking at the trees. The sitting area is open and beautiful. The bedroom/kitchen area is super lovely. We spent most of our time there lounging on the beds and reading in the sunlight. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked and the bathroom was clean. Can’t wait to come back!

    Sarah2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This spot was exactly what I needed for a work trip...a place to retreat to after a busy day, just a few minutes away from town, and a comfy space to recharge! Jonathan took the time to provide simple things that make traveling less stressful...coffee already ground and waiting to be brewed, olive oil and vinegar for cooking, honey with a huge assortment of tea...the list could go on. It was exactly what I needed and I'm definitely hoping to stay there again on my next work trip to Burlington. Thank you Jonathan!!

    Phoebe2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute little place. Love the treehouse feel and rustic vibes. A great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

Truly a perfect place to get away and enjoy the peace and calm of nature. My trip was for work purposes but I would absolutely return for a pleasure trip!

The house is spotless and has lots of cute decor that makes you feel at home. About a 20 minute drive to Burlington so close enough to go out but if you’d rather just relax at the house you have that option too! Hope to return in the future!

  • We LOVED everything about Linda’s home. Guest quarters were spacious and private but still felt homey. Linda was super on top of things and gave us wonderful suggestions for activities. Great location. Would absolutely go back.

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was an incredible host! The space could not have been better- very clean, so cute, great location, lots of thoughtful touches. Would 100% return and recommend, check in and all communication was a breeze as well Best experience I have had with airbnb!!

  • Fantastic place to stay! The hosts were very welcoming, the rooms were immaculate and charming, not to mention very comfortable. It was a peaceful place to stay, in a very picturesque area. If you can find an open spot, book it!

  • Such a cozy and peaceful place!

    Jenna2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • You will enjoy a peaceful stay in a beautiful old converted space. Great coffee. There is no stove or tub if this is important to you. Otherwise a gem.

    Mary Gay2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and Mark’s place was about a 15 min walk from Church Street and a few minutes more to the lake waterfront. The check in process was easy and Linda gave me some tips from the get go. The guest suite was spacious with a sitting room and kitchenette and the bedroom was big enough for 1 or 2 people. Guests also have full access to the washer and dryer which is in the suite. I also appreciated that she had granola, juice, coffee, tea, etc already in the fridge and I was spoiled with the treats Linda offered me throughout my stay. The rooms were very clean and the house was lovely. Linda and Mark were great hosts and I would definitely recommend their place if you’re staying in Burlington.

    Patricia2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place is a great Burlington hideaway. My wife and I stayed there for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The suite had everything we needed and lots of nice touches - food for us in the fridge, coffee, tea and beautiful art (Linda is a fantastic artist!). It is walking distance to downtown Burlington and the UVM campus which made getting around really easy. Plus, getting to meet Linda was a real treat - she is very interesting and fun to talk to. She also had champagne and homemade cookies for us - two of our favorites. Overall it was a great experience and highly recommended.

    Geoffrey2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Exceptional accommodations with everything you'd expect and more! Absolutely incredible location, so private and quiet. You almost don't want to leave to enjoy everything that Burlington has to offer, but fortunately it's close enough that you can walk to just about everything. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay while in Burlington.

  • What a perfectly delightful place! All of the other reviews are spot on. Private, beautiful, perfect waterfront slice of heaven. The hosts were perfect with their communication, and self check in was a breeze! Thoughtful and very tasteful touches throughout the space. Everything you could possibly need for a weekend or week long trip. We have never stayed at another space that offered so much: toiletries (high end ones too), hair dryers, kitchen amenities, etc. The fireplace was perfectly set up. The place was sparkling clean. We've never felt so pampered! The organic linens and towels were amazing. If you want a peaceful getaway, this is the place!

    Jasmine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The ADK Oasis was nothing short of absolutely astounding. My girlfriend and I spent an unforgettable Valentine's weekend here, thinking we'd spend the bulk of our time in the nearby small towns and across Lake Champlain thanks to the easily accessible ferry, but in the end, the Oasis itself was the true gem of the trip. It really felt like a home away from home, with a wonderfully warm introduction from co-host Pamuela (props to her great responsiveness via phone/text). And it was so well-stocked in every possible regard, even with spare toiletries available in case we forgot to pack anything. Heck, the kitchen was so well-prepared that we could've forgotten all of our ingredients for our homemade Valentine's dinner/dessert and still cooked up a storm! They really thought of everything, from stocking the fireplace to the nice touch of a written card made out to the two of us and some chocolate to boot. Whether you're looking for your own small slice of a charming winter wonderland or a summer lake excursion with friends, the Oasis should be at the top of your list.

    Austin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice chalet, very nice and very comfortable. The view is very beautiful, everything is done for rest and enjoyment. Very welcome, with particular attention to snow removal despite the snowstorm on the day of arrival.

    Hubert2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was perfect in every way. The house was perfectly situated - private, but a quick drive to everything we needed (including ferries to the VT side of the lake). The house was sparkling clean when we arrived and the setup is perfect for a small group, while still allowing for privacy. The house is full of small touches that make the stay truly enjoyable. We also appreciated the late checkout time! We’ll definitely be back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

    Chris2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was well beyond our expectations. My best Airbnb experience to date.

    John2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • George's place is absolutely amazing! My three friends and I were looking to have a long weekend away from the city and the house was perfect! The interior design was amazing! They have perfectly crafted the living area to feel extremely homey and provided us with everything we needed from bathroom products to condiments in the fridge! The views are spectacular and the fire pit (fully stocked with logs!!) made us feel extra warm in the winter! Super clean and very well maintained house! We were put in touch with Pam who was very helpful with showing us around and was always there if we needed to ask a question. We barely needed to leave the house! Burlington is a short ferry journey and drive away, perfect for a day trip! There is a local meat market to buy groceries and a cosey dining table to have a lovely meal! We had an absolutely amazing time and would 100% recommend! We shall definitely be returning for a summer trip!

    Nav2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was simply perfect! Even the smallest details were thought of for our convenience. Plenty of space for two couples, shining clean, and a great view. We didn't get bored for a second during our time there.

    Berk2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • George’s place is stunning! Everything about staying at this air bnb was incredible. The space was immaculate, the views of the lake were stunning. The hosts were extremely kind and quick to reply to any questions we had. I’ve stayed in many air bnb’s before, but this one was my absolute favorite. The home is stocked with some local and mostly organic items. There’s a washer/ dryer for laundry. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and everything we needed to make a full Thanksgiving meal. There was a lot of thought put into every item placed in this house from laundry detergent, soaps and items in the kitchen to stocked items for your use in the kitchen. We will be back very soon we hope. Don’t waste any time booking ADK OASIS. It is nothing short of Fantastic, and the hosts are the most gracious people.

  • Julie’s place was perfect for our week in Burlington. It was cozy, had everything we needed and is in a fantastic location. Julie was the most accommodating host and went out of her way to make sure our stay was great. We would absolutely stay again.

  • A beautifully appointed space, tasteful yet practical and a very well equipped kitchen should you wish to actually cook - which we did! Very quiet street, and the porch offers a nice option to read or drink a cup of coffee and get the feel of the neighborhood. Lots of thoughtful touches, a throw on the sofa, extra pillows, quilt at the foot of the bed - great for a quick nap upon arrival and lots of dishware and pots and pans and gas cooking! Julie is a super host for real and was very responsive. Highly recommend - very high value.

Escape to the sanctuary of the countryside but only footsteps away from a local cafe. A charming one bedroom apartment in a beautifully converted barn situated on a 6 acre property, with views of fields, forest, and the Adirondacks in the distance. Centrally located, only a 3 min walk from the Brick Store (perfect for coffee and organic pastries) and the Old Lantern. Trails and roads for biking, hiking, and skiing are right at your fingertips, and Lake Champlain is a quick 5 min drive.
Perfect for a rustic, country getaway where you can curl up with a glass of wine by the fire. The Greenbush Barn boasts original details, such as the beams and floors, from when it was built in 1899, but has been beautifully converted to an apartment with an open concept kitchen/dining area, a bedroom with East facing windows, and a bathroom with both a shower and a claw-foot bathtub (perfect for a long soak after a day spent exploring). A fireplace in the living room makes it perfect for cozy retreats.
The Greenbush Barn, situated on a 6 acre family home, is a 20-minute drive from downtown Burlington, or 25 minutes from the Burlington Airport. Even though it is just minutes from the restaurants and bars of Burlington, it is nestled in the quiet countryside surrounded by fields, forest, and Lake Champlain - get ready to explore!
  • House was clean, cute, and a great location! Host also left a great list of local spots and recommendations. We would stay again! The house did not have blinds in the majority house (including the bathroom), which left us feeling exposed at times. Other than that it was great.

  • The Greenbush farmhouse is a treat to stay in. My boyfriend and I went on a romantic ski-cation in Vermont and were pleased to have our home base in Charlotte, which is only a short drive to Burlington, many ski locations, and a bunch of quality breweries. We were sad to go! Until next time!

  • Everything about our stay was perfect. The space is cozy and so inviting- not to mention spotless! Niccola was quick with her responses and offered up great suggestions and tips for staying in the area. It was the ideal spot for enjoying the scenery, but still able to get into downtown Burlington easily- we were even able to cheaply Uber between the two!

  • This place is nothing short of spectacular. Niccola is a wonderful host and the barn is exquisitely beautiful and quaint. The barnwood floors, gorgeous blue and white walls, and stunning hardware and antique doors make this modern reclaimed barn one of a kind. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need and the bed is super comfortable. We loved sitting by the fireplace enjoying wine and reading. In the evening, I used the clawfoot tub and it was so lovely and relaxing I didn’t want to leave! There were some very nice hospitable touches such as extra blankets for the couch, a bottle of wine, lavender soap for the clawfoot tub, and plenty of bathroom amenities. This was the perfect getaway for myself and my fiancée - very romantic and extremely beautiful and calming surroundings. It was so peaceful. We were 25-30 minutes from Burlington and with Niccolas great recommendations, we were able to enjoy all the local breweries, shops and great restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

  • Very clean with lots of towels and blankets. Perfect space for a couple, very romantic with easy check in and were provided our privacy. Great location and easily accessible. Answered any questions very quickly and even left us a bottle of wine. Very thoughtful.
