Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River. Peaceful and cozy craftsman style cabin in the woods overlooking the Pere Marquette river. Large windows on the riverside allow for a spectacular view of the river and lovely sunrises. The cabin has central AC and central heat, but there is NO TV or Internet/WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with most cooking essentials. There is a tea kettle, various coffee pots, coffee bean grinder, dishes, pans, small refrigerator, and small functioning vintage stove. Freshly laundered bed linens, blankets and towels are provided. The town grocery store is conviently located less than a mile from the cabin. Both bedrooms have a full size mattresses. There is also a futon in the living room that could be used for additional guests. There is a 2 person tandem kayak, canoe and fishing poles are available at the cabin and are free for guest use. The burn ring by the river and a fire pit on the property that can be used for bonfires or roasting marshmallows. A door code enables guests to check themselves in after 3pm. We are available by text/email or phone during their stay if there any problems or questions. The cabin is located in Baldwin which is a small rural town that has very limited attractions or resturants, but makes for quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cabin is located on Pere Marquette river which is a designated "National Wild and Scenic" river and is world renowned for excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and Steelhead. The river section directly in front of the cabin is open for fishing only during the last weekend in April to end of September (trout season). It is also a very popular river for canoes and kayakers since it is steady and considerably clear which is perfect for paddlers with basic skills. The cabin is located about a 2 minute drive from the closest 'open all year round' river location. The cabin is 1.5 hour drive from Traverse City (Wine tasting, beaches, cherry orchards) and/or Grand Rapids MI (Art prize, Fredrick Meijer sculpture Gardens). It is also 45 Min. drive from Ludington which has miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. Pleae note there is a approx. 50 yard walk from the driveway to the cabin. Smoking inside the cabin is not allowed. Pets are ok with the following considerations: no wet dogs in the cabin (most dogs love swimming in the river), no pets on the furniture and up to date flea control is appreciated. The cabin is located 3.5 miles from the start of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is a excellent mountain biking and hiking trail.
The cabin is located in Lake County which is over half state (Pere Marquette State Forest) and federal land (Manistee National Forest) with endless hiking opportunities. The cabin is located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are multiple sections of the North Country trail that allow mountain biking and also the Big M trail is nearby. The cabin is located near the small town of Baldwin which has very limited attractions and no notable restaurants therefore this is not the place to come for man made sightseeing that is nearby.
  • This cabin is simply magical and the setting is idyllic. If you are looking for a quiet retreat and want to disconnect from the noise of our day to day lives this is the place for you.

  • A lovely place to stay. I highly recommend staying in the fall. The trees are beautiful when they are changing colors. Waking up every morning to a cup of coffee while watching the fish swim in the river is very serene. We enjoyed hiking. It is very convenient having the grocery store so close too. A perfect fall getaway.

  • I had a lovely time in this adorable AirBnB. The garage was especially helpful and the room itself was lovely. It would work well for a weekend or a month.

  • The location could have been better but the place. Loft was amazing. Felt at home.

    Syed2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVED this apartment. It was so cute and chic. The bed was insanely comfortable. I slept so well. The check-in instructions were long due to it being an apartment but very detailed and easy to follow. The only thing is we didn’t have any toilet paper haha but no big deal because we checked in extremely late and didn’t want to bother the host. I’m sure they would have taken care of it immediately had we contacted them. Over all, the stay, although short, was extremely comfy and cozy and I will absolutely stay here again in the future

    Taylar2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! Really worth the price and very convenient location. City Cafe is in walking distance and has amazing breakfast food! I felt like I was apart of the community and not a visitor! Also keep in mind pricey lyfts into the city and back!

HOT TUB open all year! Much more than a place to sleep! Only 5 minutes to beaches of Indiana Dunes on Lake Michigan. Dunes National Park & hiking along the Little Calumet River only 1 block away. Plenty to do at our space too! Air hockey, billiards, ping-pong, darts, basketball shot, foosball, & board games! Comfy beds & full kitchen! Enjoy the campfire, grill, & playground too. Large heated pool open 2020 May 22-Oct 4. Sun, swim, play, relax & volleyball. Love the Hot Tub year round!
***We are taking the extra precaution to sanitize everything between every stay*** IndianaDunes website is a great resource for why visit our area. The Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park have over 3.5 million visitors each year! The Pool Barn We built a 35x70 pole barn and finished half as additional garage space and the other half as a recreation space. Then we added a 20x40 in-ground heated pool, hot tub, grill, shaded picnic area, playground, swings, and campfire area. The Pool Barn indoor space is about 1200 sq ft. It includes a full bath/shower. There is a full-size kitchen with stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and Keurig. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dinnerware, and silverware. We have 6 regular queen size beds and a couch that sleeps 2. It is all ONE BIG OPEN SPACE that includes the kitchen, beds, large couch, 65" smart TV, movies, stereo, wifi, darts, ping pong, pool table, air hockey, golf putting, and basketball shot. We have cornhole bag toss and bocci ball for outside too. The pool has several loungers. It is only 5 foot at the deepest so not suited for diving, but great for children, water volleyball and just playing and relaxing throughout. We have goggles, snorkels, and toys too. Bring your swim suits and beach towels! The pool area has night lighting and torches to keep the bugs away while enjoying an evening swim. We keep the pool open and heated Memorial Day weekend through the end of September so it is refreshing on hot days and still comfortable on cool evenings. Hot or cold, sun or snow, the Hot Tub is open and enjoyable 365 days a year! The campfire area has plenty of seating space and abundant firewood available at no additional charge. If we are home we'll even get it started for you. Bring your bikes! We are on the Duneland Prairie Bike Trail. Great trails next door in the Indiana Dunes National Park for hiking or running too. I may even go with you if you'd like the companionship. We also have a canoe and 2 kayaks available to take a river trip or use on Lake Michigan for an extra fee. While you are visiting, learn how to save your life and save your family! Ask for a free preview of "The One Move." Want more? Experience "The One Move" with a 3 hour introduction to our proprietary system of Protective Tactics.
The "Pool Barn" is not located in a subdivision. We have 1 acre on the edge of town and the neighbors all pretty much keep to themselves. The Duneland Prairie Trail runs in front of our home for biking and hiking. It winds in and through the woods for many miles. There are many other bike trails in the area too. A block away is Indiana Dunes National Park, Bailly Homestead and Chelburg Farm with walking trails, a bit of history, a nature center, Maple Sugar Fest and Harvest Festival. The Little Calumet River is also only a block away and offers some of the best Steelhead fishing in the country. The beaches of Lake Michigan are only minutes away by car or bike including Porter Beach, the Indiana Dunes State Park, and Indiana Dunes National Park. Downtown Porter is only 1/2 mile and offers great authentic Mexican cuisine at Santiago's, some great bbq ribs at Wagner's, as well as a couple pubs, and a few churches. Just over the tracks is Chesterton, with several boutique shops, dining experiences, and a Saturday European market too. Grocery and fast food are just a couple of miles away. Our population is roughly only 14,000 but over 3.5 million visit the Indiana Dunes State Park and Indiana Dunes National Park each year. The Indiana Dunes ranks seventh among the National Park Service's top attractions nationwide. To learn more about the opportunities our area offers, see IndianaDunes website.

  • This apartment is fantastic. The situation we were in was awful. Coronavirus had exploded and all activities cancelled. What a pleasure to have a comfortable and cool place to hang out given those circumstances. FYI. Dasha and Owen and team are there for any needs you may have.

  • Highly recommend. I would stay here again just for the bed. I stayed here right after a trip out of the country & before another trip. I felt relaxed in this space as I worked through my jet lag.

The apartment has been artfully redesigned with a love for the past. Quirky vintage items complement reclaimed wood furnishings to create a sense of character and warmth. Take a seat atop a House of Blues bar stool as you enjoy your morning coffee.
A vintage lovers dream! This loft was designed with a love for the past. Starting in the kitchen, you’ll see the beautiful zinc alloy countertops are complemented by gorgeous antique mirror backsplashes. You’ll have access to a stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker, as well as basic tools and kitchen supplies. There is a lovely throwback SMEG 50’s refrigerator and the shelves are all reclaimed wood. This antique lumber detail can be found throughout the loft, from the floors all the way to the night stands. The bathroom door may be recycled wood and the mirrors antique, but the shower fixtures are all Grohe. There is also a hair-dryer as well as complimentary toiletries and clean towels for your use. At the end of the day, you can sit on our funky wicker swing chair and think of all the chic guests who may have used the closet doors that were brought in from NY’s Plaza hotel! You’ll surely have the sweetest of dreams when you go to sleep on the memory foam mattress following a quick binge using the complimentary netflix. Additional amenities include self-controlled A/C and closet space with hangers, an iron and ironing board. This loft is very well kept, professionally cleaned and sanitized after each and every use.

  • Overall great stay and super comfy place

    Kenny2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place for a staycation away from my home to help me decompress from stress. This place was amazing and wonderful! It was basically my dream bedroom! I loved the indoor swing, I primarily chose this place for the swing. I spent a few hours reading in the swing, which was extremely relaxing. The bed was to die for. I was reluctant to get out of bed in the morning and fell asleep right away because of how comfortable it was! I am typically someone who has difficulty falling asleep--so this bed and the feng shui of the room really did wonders for my sleep. I am definitely staycationing here again.

    Michelle2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is gorgeous and looks exactly like the photos! Absolutely clean, stellar space. Beautiful. I will stay again while in town. Close enough to wicker park about a 15min. drive. 5/5.

Sit on your private patio and view the Grand Haven State Park pavilion. This one bedroom condo's patio provides a lovely view of Lake Michigan and the beach. This newly renovated lower-floor condo is stylish as well as comfortable, clean and quiet. Spend the day on the beach and then throw some shrimp on your private Weber grill, open a bottle of wine and relax on your patio overlooking Lake Michigan. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
We are across the street and halfway up a hill from GH State Park. Our hill is residential but very unique. Five Mile Hill is one of the area's highest sand dunes. It got its name in the 1800's, from fishermen who, when far out in Lake Michigan, saw the top of Five Mile Hill, they knew the distance to shore was 5 miles. We are located halfway up Emmet. If you walk to the top of our hill you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Michigan on one side, turn around and you get a panoramic view of Grand Haven and the Grand River Channel.

  • Wee TINY cabin (about 12x12). We didn’t mind as we used it as a base camp. Clean and well-kept by 2nd generation innkeepers. When we needed an iron and ironing board, one was delivered in 30 minutes. Beach front features plenty of toys and sand for children and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Centrally located with respect to the bustling downtown area. A very unique experience for the adventurous.

    Jeffrey2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A little bit on the rustic side, but they’re very accommodating. Great hosts!

This 200 ft. tiny house is tucked nicely away in the beautiful northern Michigan woods. Its light and airy space is comfy and bright, without being too constricting, it is only a 2.5 miles from downtown Charlevoix.
There is a ladder provided to access both the sleeping loft as well as the storage loft. In-wall heaters are readily usable and easy to function.
The neighborhood is quiet and simple. The tiny house is far enough from the road that makes it free from distractions, but close enough to town if you are interested in grabbing a bite to eat, going to a concert, or jumping into the lake.
  • A tiny woodland paradise! 100%, would definitely recommend.

  • Our stay was great! The tiny home was amazing in itself! I loved seeing a few books on Tiny Homes on the property which was fun to read while being in one. Elizabeth was great every step of the way. We didn't get in until dark and didn't park in a great spot so when it rained all day the next day our small car couldn't handle getting back up the muddy incline and Elizabeth called her grandpa and he was there within minutes to help us and we were on our way! We would have been waiting there for another hour or 2 for Triple A if Elizabeth hadn't called to get us help. We would definitely stay there again!

  • we absolutely LOVED staying in the tiny house! It is absolutely beautiful with all so many thoughtful touches and features that make it feel homey! The kitchen had everything you need and was fully stocked with breakfast items. The window bench in the living room is a perfect place to watch nature or read a book. The tiny house inspired me to add a few things to my home. I loved how there’s books on tiny houses and the inspiring quotes and scripture. This was probably the best airbnb stay I had! It’s amazing how you could fit everything you have in a traditional home in this tiny house. It’s close to town. I would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Ellies place is amazing. She is quick to respond. Very helpful. The tiny house had many thoughtful touches. Fixings for smores and firewood was provided and even breakfast fixing. Elizabeth has definitely went above and what is expected of a host! We will definitely stay again!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Very relaxing and a great opportunity to cozy up by a fire, listen to a record, and relax. The space is very well kept and Elizabeth works hard to make your stay amazing.

    Cory2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • A very fun and unique experience! We appreciated the extra touches, such as the provided breakfast items and snacks. The record player was also an unexpected, but neat amenity. Enjoyed walking the trails around the property and the campfires were the highlight of our stay at the tiny house!

  • We had a terrific stay in this modern, open apartment. The interior is stylish and super clean and the views from the floor to ceiling windows were amazing, from sunrise to moon rise over the lake. The neighborhood has plenty to offer and was fairly quiet when we were there. It is a walk to the more central parts of the city but we did not mind that. Check in and out couldn't have been easier.

Unique treehouse cabin with all amenities inspired by forest ranger lookout. Though not actually attached to a tree, the outpost treehouse sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 65 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck.
The lookout inspired outpost has all the modern amenities--Air conditioning, furnace, private bath with shower, hot and cold running water. Solar power is used for interior lights. The 14x14 room has a queen size bed (which can be separated if requested to make bench style seating and doubles as 2 single beds (30” x 76”), a comfy chair, buffet cabinet with bar sink, small refrigerator for drinks and coffee maker. The refrigerator is quite small so bring a cooler and ice if you bring perishable food. There are no cooking facilities in the treehouse but there is a gas grill outside. There is also a fire pit. Bring wood so you can enjoy an evening by the fire. The ground level is the “mechanical “ room and the bathroom.
Secluded rural setting but only a short drive to “city life”. Some things to see and do within 30 minutes : Kalamazoo Air Zoo, Binder Park Zoo (Battle Creek), Kingman Museum ( Battle Creek), Critchlow Alligator Farm (Athens). Within 15 minutes of Binder Park Golf Course and many restaurants in Battle Creek

  • Lynda's place was an amazing getaway for us. Incredible value - beautiful views, cozy home, hot tub. We made huge use of the wood burning stove to help keep warm. We would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely come back for another stay here!

  • This lovely cottage in the woods on the Kalamazoo River has absolutely amazing views and is just absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. If you are looking for a place to unwind, sit in a hot tub while looking out at the water, listening to the birds but also be close enough to the charming little town of Saugatuck which is full of unique little shops, yummy places to eat and friendly people, then Indian Pointe is the place for you. Also this place allows your furry family member to join you on your getaway which won it for us. Our dog, Bueller, is a part of our family and we loved being able to include him. This place has everything you could possibly need. Lynda has made it perfect with all of the amenities and the charming, welcoming decor. Being here for a winter getaway, we absolutely loved the hot tub and then sitting by the cozy warm fire. It was so relaxing. I also loved that their is a local bus that will pick you up and bring you into town for just a $1, if you don't want to drive. Saugatuck and the surrounding area offers so much to see and do and Lynda's place puts you in a perfect location to enjoy it all and allows for much relaxation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We hope to come back again someday, perhaps in the summer, to enjoy what else this place has to offer. However, for us it was a perfect little winter getaway. I didn't want to leave! Thank you again Lynda.

Great neighborhood with great neighbors! Quite lake with out all of hustle and bustle of a busy lake! You will be 5 miles from Interstate 31 to take you anywhere along Lake Michigan!
  • We had a lovely and relaxing few days at Kathy's home. Even in winter, the view of the lake and the sunset were beautiful and we loved having the hot tub to warm up in.

  • We had an amazing time here. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our stay very much!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was one of the best host I've ever had from Airbnb! The house was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with new cookware and plenty of cooking seasonings. My and friends and I took a couples trip and we couldn't have chosen a more spacious house to accommodate twelve people. There were even a few different games and puzzles provided at the house in which we took full advantage of playing. Overall I believe Kathy has earned the title of super host, she sent me a packet in the mail just a week prior to our reservation. The packet covered the rules of the house, how to work the different devices in the house, nearby restaurants, grocery stores, activities to do in town. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in Michigan to book with Katy.

    Robin2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very spacious, clean, well decorated, and well stocked. Right on the water with a balcony overlooking the lake. The host was very informative and check in was effortless thanks to the welcome packet mailed in advance.

    Nicholas2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy was great! The kitchen comes completely stocked with all the seasonings and cookware you may need. There are so many sleeping surfaces. We had six grown adults in our group and no one had to share a bed. We appreciated the cozy fireplaces, all the blankets and bedding, the beautiful morning views, and the hot tub. We went to the state park for a hike in the winter which was both exhilarating and beautiful.

    Stephanie2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great views! Good vibes! And the lake was amazing even tho we could not swim because it was cold. Overall cleanliness of the house was good! The hot tub! AMAZING ! Just a good overall place to relax and unwind.

    Sarah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as advertised! Perfect trip for our family. Kathy was an awesome host!

    Tim2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's place is everything you could want out of a lakehouse property and more! The watercraft and house amenities are many, the views from the house are spectacular!!! We will definitely be staying again!

Keep updated on work demands at a vintage-style wooden desk in the working corner of this gorgeous studio apartment. The combination of metals, velvet and wood in the interior make this a beautiful apartment and a contemporary dream. Please note that this unit is located above a late night bar, which may add to the charm of it for some but may also pose to be a noise nuisance for light sleepers. We encourage you to read the reviews of past guests to make an informed decision.

  • Great location. I couldn't hear the bar, but my friend did. She found it entertaining

    Jenn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great! Close to everything I wanted, right price, all the amemities you could ask for. Superior communication and check in/check out instruction. Clean and friendly!

  • The AirBnB was perfect. It was in an easy to reach location. Had great restaurants near by. The place was clean and easy to access. I would recommend this place again. I would stay here again if I’m in the area.

    Aaron2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Good location, good price, and nice to have an apartment to ourselves. There is a tiny shower in the bathroom. You could potentially cook for yourselves while staying, but the kitchen is not well stocked. Overall, a good choice in this neighborhood, and good proximity to lots of restaurants and activities. Note: the property is above a bar, but the noise was not disruptive, and easily covered with the sound from a TV, or a fan.

    Scott2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! We used the CTA to move around. Your so close why wouldn't you? They gave me tips for free parking. I didnt move the car the entire stay. They warn about noise but I sleep with the TV on. I didn't even notice the noise. Easy check in amd out. Will be back!

    Nate2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The bed was so comfortable. That was probably my favorite part. The room was very cute and had everything I needed. The hosts were easy to reach. I had an amazing time staying here. The bar underneath wasn’t loud at all you could sometimes hear the music but very rarely. Over all I had an amazing time and would definitely come stay here again!

    Aliyah2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place is exactly as the description says, the bed is comfortable. Great apartment definitely recommend it for anyone, thanks.

A perfect spot to enjoy food & drinks in Logan Square area. Steps away from MICHELIN rated restaurants: Fat Rice, Lula Cafe, Daisies, Parachute, Mi Tocaya, Longman & Eagle. BRUNCH: Jam, Cellar Door Provisions. COFFEE: Four Letter Word, Intelligentsia. COCKTAILS: Lost Lake, Masa Azul, Ladies Room, New American, Estereo. BEER: BixiBeer, Hopewell, Pilot Project. 10-min walk to Logan Square Blue Line; Loop 20-min & O'Hare airport 25-min from the stop. Divvy bikes & bus stop across the street.
Sunny and spacious one-bedroom apartment filled with plants and artwork. Located on the second floor of a two-flat in Logan Square / Avondale area. The bedroom features a queen-size bed (medium-firm), feather and down pillows, down duvet, and cotton sheets. The bathroom has all your essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath towels, hand towels, bath mats, and a hair dryer. The kitchen is equipped with all the basic cooking equipment, a microwave, a tea kettle, a coffee grinder, a Bonavita Coffee Maker, an Aeropress, and roasted coffee. The living room has a 42" smart TV with a Chromecast. The dining room table has a printed house manual that includes my contact info, emergency contact info, Wi-Fi password, check-out procedures, details about the neighborhood, and local recommendations. The office has a work space with a charging station for your phone. The apartment is filled with natural plants. Please be kind to them. The apartment has several Smart Home features: August Locks, Nest Thermostat, and Hue lights. Please note, I have security cameras in the front and the back doors for security purposes. Street parking can be found on the main street and some side streets, but do read the signage, as some streets have parking limits or are residential permit parking only. I share this house with my parents who live on the 1st floor. I do not allow any type of filming in my property, including advertisements, school film projects, etc. Please do not contact me in this regard. Come and explore the vibrant mix of Logan Square on your next visit to Chicago!
The apartment is located on the edge of Logan Square and Avondale neighborhoods. Logan Square is known for its boozy nightlife, Michelin rated restaurants, walkability, easy access to public transit, and bicycle friendliness. Crain’s Chicago dubbed Diversey Avenue from California to Kimball avenues the hottest new restaurant row in the city. A block away is the award winning Fat Rice, and its secret cocktail bar, The Ladies’ Room (hidden within their bakery), inspired by the gambling dens of Macau's red-light district. Down the street you will find one of the best farm to table fare at Cellar Door Provisions. If you want a quick bite, head over for some traditional Ecuadorian food at Restaurant Ecuador across the apartment. Avondale was recently recognized as one the nation’s 10 hottest, need-to-visit neighborhoods by Lonely Planet. Jam, a brunch spot, and Parachute, a Michelin-starred restaurant, are new additions to this area. Kuma’s Corner is an old neighborhood gem, known for giant burgers on pretzel buns, and Honey Butter Fried Chicken is a must visit if you love fried chicken and brunch. Coffee spots in the area: Intelligentsia Coffee, Four Letter Word, Gaslight Coffee Roasters, Passion House, Arbor (cafe by day & restaurant by night, a hidden gem). The Milwaukee Avenue business district is filled with local small businesses such as Reno, Daisies, The Owl, The Whistler, and Hopewell Brewing Company to name a few. I highly recommend checking out the local eateries and bars. Logan Square Farmer’s Market occurs every Sunday during the summer months on Logan Square Boulevard, and it’s a 10-minute walk from the apartment. The 606 (a park on elevated former railroad tracks), Logan Square Boulevard, and Palmer Square are the three neighborhood parks to picnic in on a Sunday afternoon. 10-min Uber ride takes you to Lakeview, Boystown, Wrigley Field, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Park Zoo, and the Nature Museum.

  • Clean and modern looking studio apartment. Directions to access apartment were simple. Parking was the only sore spot, but we expected that with the location, and the hosts were helpful in suggesting places to park. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Great location that is safe and near local bars and restaurants. We used Lyft to get to the heart of the city. The bar noise wasn’t a bother at all during the weekday. Try and arrive early to get free street parking on N Clifton Ave, or download the Park Chicago app and use that until you can find free parking. We would stay here again because it already feels familiar and comfortable.

Doze off in a rainbow hammock in a breezy screened porch. There's a timeless cottage feel among the timber floors, whitewashed rafters, and homespun quilts. It's also a home inspired by music, including a record collection and vintage Dylan poster. ALSO: please see Cottage Coronavirus Protocol for guest peace of mind.
Managing the cottage from a distance--I now live in Florida--is now much more manageable with my new cleaning person who lives just across Red Arrow Highway and understands exactly what my needs are and how best to please our Airbnb guests. Beth uses Melaleuca all organic cleaning products which is important to her, and might be helpful for guests to know. Guests tell me they appreciate the look and feel of the cottage, plus of course its location and the amenities of the area. Let me be super clear that this is not a rental-property cutting corners property! It for sure is a vintage older home, complete with the quirks that can often accompany such an offering! The character of the home is summed up in the old fashioned percolator, the antiques and folk art, record player and old records, old games—that’s what you’re getting at the Sawyer cottage. Comments include..."perfect location for all that harbor country has to offer...we loved the huge back yard and proximity to the charming shops of Sawyer... loved the old records...” and much more. Take a look at the reviews for more comments.
The cottage is on a quiet tree-lined street on the lake side of Red Arrow Highway. It's less than a mile to Warren Dunes on Lake Michigan, and it's walking distance to Sawyer. Enjoy the restaurants, wineries, antique shops, and beaches of Harbor Country.
  • If you are looking to take a trip to the dunes, I highly recommend staying here. Karen's Sawyer cottage is beautiful, unique, and extremely comfortable. There is a giant, fenced-in backyard with a fire pit and badminton net—and the backyard runs up against a wooded area so you have a lot of privacy. The screened in porch is also lovely, with a sturdy hammock and a full dining table out there! The interior of the home is very special—it is decorated gorgeous with a great mix of modern elements and family trinkets. It was extremely clean, and had everything we needed for a great weekend away. I was beyond impressed. Also, Karen was very very responsive and helpful. My initial payment was denied along with a slew of issues on AirBnB's end, but Karen was understanding and helpful in figuring this out before our trip. During the trip, she was available through the AirBnB app and was quick to reply and very easy to communicate with. I believe this was the best experience I've had through AirBnB and was very grateful for Karen's help. If you are on the fence about staying here, book it now! Such a nice trip!

    Lacy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our girls weekend getaway! Karen was thoughtful and great at communicating to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great location and the cottage was decorated so cute! We definitely want to come back.

  • This cottage is adorable and Karen was very kind and helpful. It was very clean and provided everything we needed. The yard is huge and there’s a screened in porch with a lot of space to hang out. I highly recommend this place if you want to explore new buffalo, but don’t want to stay in the busier part of town. We already have plans to back this summer to utilize all the great amenities and space!

    Maria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our weekend getaway to this perfect little cottage! Beautifully themed with unique decorations and vintage items. We thoroughly enjoyed the record player, cozy window seat, and the games. Sawyer is a hidden treasure with breweries, wineries, a local market, beaches, and yummy food. Karen was a great host. Communicated well and timely, very friendly. She left us a bottle of champagne and a card. Can’t wait to stay here in the summer time!

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is such a charming, cozy, and wonderfully decorated retreat. Karen was incredible. She provided fantastic advice for things to do in the area, and was always reachable. Check in and out was a breeze. The welcome note and bottle of wine when we checked in was so thoughtful and unexpected. We look forward to returning and staying in the cottage in the summertime to take full advantage of the location and outdoor amenities.

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's home was absolutely PERFECT for a quick getaway from Chicago. The space was cozy and thoughtfully decorated – you can tell that the home and its owner have lots of interesting stories to share! Not only was it a fun place to stay, but it was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook and feel at home. We're already planning our next trip back to Sawyer this summer!

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • We met my sister and her husband here for a winter get away weekend and had a lovely time despite the weather being cold and rainy. The house is super cute and cozy and very bohemian just as the description says. Just our style. Lots of fun little collectibles and art objects throughout. The outdoor space looks equally appealing --wish we had better weather to enjoy it! We walked to the beach which is beautiful and had the best breakfast we ever had in Bridgman at a place called The Early Bird Cafe. Also a great dinner at Susan's, a new restaurant in Sawyer. Karen was an incredibly responsive and easy going host. We had an unpreventable mechanical issue and she remedied the situation promptly.

Blue Lake has been called the “Gem of Kent County” because of it’s Mediterranean clear turquoise waters. You can see 20’ deep! The other lakes nearby are connected via navigable channels and waterways for miles of boating and fishing fun. Swimming in the lake is clean and clear. Private guest suite with separate entrance is set up for guests to enjoy a part of lake life. Many amenities for you to enjoy for no extra charge! Outdoor grilling and Tiki Bar for relaxing is available for your use.
Your space is a beautiful finished loft above the detached garage. The Tastefully decorated loft that is fully finished with heat and air conditioner. With separate entrance and coded entry for your access. The loft space is detached from the main house that we live in year round. The loft space has a bedroom with queen bed, a smaller room with a trundle twin bed (2 twin mattresses) also have a pack-n-play for small children. In the living room there is an oversized bean bag that turns into a king size floor mattress. There is also a blow up queen bed. Sheets and pillows are all provided. Very comfortable for 4 kinda tight for 6. Come and Relax at the outdoor Tiki Bar (Year round use of the grill) outdoor area is complete with year round fireplace and gas heater. Relax in the Summer months on the sandy beach.! In the winter if the lake is frozen we can clear an area for ice skating if requested. (pack your ice skates! ) There is a sledding hill with a few sleds, but you can also bring your own. The only shared space is when your outside but there’s plenty of space to just be yourself. The fall and winter months are wonderful in the loft. Decorated for the seasons, you will enjoy the loft, with a wall fireplace to relax by and set to your liking. Movies (a selection of over 650 movies!) on the giant 70” TV provide a theatre like experience in the cozy loft. Popcorn machine is for your use & includes popcorn packets. Guest Hot Tub is available for YEAR ROUND use. (No Children under age 16) Hot Tub hours 10am-11pm (please no smoking while in the hot tub) Sauna use is an extra fee ($35) because of the higher cost to run. The Heath benefits it gives is worth the little extra to use. We do have to charge an extra $15 per person above 2 because we live on the lake and we have to pay extra to have water and sewer pumped from our holding tank. Please keep in mind we do use a septic system, so long showers and flushing down feminine products and tons of TP, will put a strain on the system. Guest will have a total of two (2) parking spots available. Please only park in the designated two spots in front of the Airbnb parking sign. Thank you
If you are looking to have many guest come to visit or planning a party event we are members of a Lake Association and there is a lakefront cabin available to rent for daytime parties. If you are interested in this please contact me for more information. The lake is the best part of being here! The teal color water will feel like a tropical paradise right in Michigan. The neighbors are nice and friendly, some only come on the weekends, the lake will relax you as you enjoy the wildlife like song birds, blue herons, Eagles, geese and fish.
  • Pam was an amazing host to a beautiful Airbnb. The place was spotless and super clean! We loved kayaking in the morning and using the sauna right after; it was a wonderful experience and I couldn't recommend it more!

    Parhesh2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This place was amazing and exactly as described. We loved our visit and would absolutely recommend this space!

    Amy2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Me and boyfriend had a great stay. The space was perfect for the two of us and it was beautiful! Pamela was very helpful and responsive. We will probably stay here again when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the outdoor space.

    Branden2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place is nice! the directions to the home are perfect and help given that service is a little spotty. We visited in the winter so did not make use of most of the lake related opportunities. Pamela was very sweet when we interacted and the space felt private even though it is over a 3 car garage. The bed is very firm, if you like that kind of thing, but there are multiple other places to sleep. Very quiet, clean and definitely a great place to stay with kids!

    Jordan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I were able to book on very short-notice for a quick weekend getaway, and we really enjoyed our stay. While we didn't take full advantage of the fireplace, outdoor bar, or lawnchairs because of the freezing weather outside...the sauna and hot tub were perfect, and the living area is very cozy as well. Pamela and David really outdid themselves with all of the little touches in the living area and backyard, and we might just have to come back when the weather is warmer!

    Scott2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice, great use of space. Hot tub was great. I had a hard time lighting the fireplace. ( I think the wood was a little damp). The patio heater was a great touch. Beautifully decorated and very homey space.

    Elizabeth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cute place to stay and very cozy. We loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Just what we needed to get away from the busyness of life.

    Carol2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is brilliant. Thoughtful touches all over. From the decor to the paint job to the weather wood to the shower and beyond, this place deserves to be enjoyed. If you aren’t looking for a space that is downright cozy, ultra clean, and worth every penny.. then don’t stay here :)

( the WIFI is temporarily OUT of ORDER , awaiting parts) * SANITIZED* This Little House has a remarkably BIG presence, with private views of forests and meadow. It has a roomy loft with plenty of headroom and a queen sized genuine Temper-pedic mattress. The bathroom has a full sized tile shower. The kitchen has a fridge, convection oven, electric tea kettle, Kurig and French Press. The living room is stocked with free books (take some home) and games. A small table seats two for dining. 420 ok
The Little House sits high on a knoll overlooking a 4 acre meadow and lots of forest. It is nested between shade trees. My home and another cabin are on the property. Sharing 8 acres, gives all three residences privacy and a sense of the wild, while still being just 1/4 mile from M22 the main highway to all of the area's attractions. The bedroom is more spacious than most Tiny Houses but it is in a loft, so families with children need to take safety into account. 420 freindly outdoors. Legal in MI now. There is parking next to Little House, but it may not be navigable in winter so a hike of about 300 feet from the plowed parking space will be necessary. PLEASE NOTE: I do allow dogs in my rentals. I clean extra well after canine guests and supply a cover sheet and separate towels for the canines. But I cannot remove every trace so if you are very sensitive this may not be the place for you. I also open all windows to air the house out between all guests and for those with pollen allergies, this could be an issue. My dogs' yard is about 100 feet from the Little House. They are fenced in and will bark a few times to greet you (or if they see the deer, turkeys or squirrels), but are fenced in and should not disturb you. Please do not allow your dogs to approach the fence, it instigates friendly barking which many bother my neighbors. Although we are situated in conservative Northern Michigan, please know that I do welcome ALL guests, no matter the culture, gender or ethnic origin. This is a safe place for all. Peace and Love. Hurry! There are very few rentals available in central Leelanau County. Here are just a few local destinations starting from nearest first: Leelanau Sands Casino, Eewaing Native American Museum, Silver Leaf Winery, Raftshol's Vineyards, Tandem Ciders, Corky's Bistro, Tamarack Gallery, Knot Just a Bar, Blustone Winery, Parallel 45 Winery, Bay Theater, Will Case Jewelry, Eddie's Village Inn, Martha's Table, Wines and Vines Restaurant, Ciccone Winery, Shady Lane Winery, L Mawby Sparkling Wines, Dick's Pour House, The Happy Hour, Historic Fishtown, Blue Boat Coffee, Carlson's Fisheries, The Dam Candy Store, The Cheese Shop, Leelanau Cheese, Nature's Gems Petoskey Stones, The Blue Bird, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Blu, M22 Store, Fusion and about 20 more wineries!
We are so lucky to be in beautiful Leelanau County. My eight acre property is secluded ( you cannot see any of my neighbors once on the property) yet close to the main highway. I live just above the Tribal Land, in a mixed neighborhood of farmhouses, modular, mobile homes and cottages. My neighbors are tidy, quiet and friendly. It is a VERY safe community, the EMT, fire station and police are nearby. Once a year, there is a community pick-up of large discarded items, and these are on the curb, making the neighborhood look distressed. Please excuse this once-a-year blight. Sound does carry, so I hope my guests take thin into consideration when using the outdoors.
  • Pam’s Tiny House was absolutely beautiful! The property had amazing sun light and beautiful views. Quiet nature bliss.

  • Super fun place to visit!

    Tom2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the tiny house! It was the perfect place to stay at as we explored the Leelanau Peninsula for the weekend. The location is absolutely perfect for all of the wineries, hikes and exploring we planned for the weekend. It’s super easy to get to. There’s lots of land to run a dog if you bring one. We have an energetic Aussie and the house never felt too small. It stays warm through the night and all amenities were just right! Pam was communicative and we had no issues getting in. We definitely want to come back in summer. Highly recommend this for solo and couples/small family getaways!

    Lindsey2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay at the Tiny House! Pamela is a hospitable host - great with communicating about the slick driveway thanks to the melting snow, turned up the heat before our arrival so we would be comfortable, and has so many personal touches in the space. We will definitely be back!

    Haley2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela was a great host at the tiny house! We were there for the first big snowfall of the season, and she was easy to communicate with to make sure we made it safely and had a place to park. The tiny house was the perfect spot for us while visiting family who live just up the road. It was peaceful, clean, and cozy. Plus we got to bring our dog! We’ll definitely be back soon.

  • This is modern space with a lovely view! It has a clean, almost monastic feel. Relaxing and peaceful. Lindsey was helpful with all our questions and replied quickly. When we couldn’t figure out the Roku TV she even came over immediately to help. It was a great location to bring my elderly mother (88) because there are no rugs and trip hazards, and every evening we viewed the sunset right from the living room. Highly recommended! I can’t even imagine how amazing it must be in the summer!

  • This is a very comfortable and cozy cottage with a beautiful view. Lindsey was a wonderful host, she sent welcoming and thoughtful messages, yet respected our privacy during our visit. We appreciated the special touches such as flavored packets of Door County coffee and extra blankets for snuggling on the couch while enjoying the gorgeous view of the frozen channel right outside the picture window. We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful and relaxing visit and would definitely stay here again.

NOTE: If you are looking for a shelter-in-place option during the months of April or May, you are welcome here. I am taking extra precautions to help protect guests during the current global pandemic. Kick back with a fresh coffee and enjoy the designer touches of this renovated apartment, including marble worktops, wood floors and 1920s exposed brickwork. There are great courtyard views, while the brass bed and super-sized sofa add real comfort.
There's no question—folks who stay here really will get an authentic Chicago-style experience. The apartment is located on the third floor of an immaculately kept century old building that has been fully upgraded with modern amenities. Large windows overlook a lovely private garden and coffee shop patio where locals like to have brunch on the weekends. Please note that the location is GLORIOUS (like, seriously amazing) and is within arms reach of everything you could possibly need or want. All within a couple blocks of the apartment, you'll find a European-style grocer, movie theater, diner, park, French bistro, fried chicken stand, gelateria, high end cocktail bar, pubs, library, summer farmers market, restaurants galore. The list goes on and on. You name it and Lincoln Square's got it.
Lincoln Square is a quaint, family-friendly neighborhood (watch out for double strollers). There's abundant German influence here, and great shops, restaurants, and bars line Lincoln Avenue. Downtown is 20 mins by train. Wrigley Field is close too. NOTE: If you are booking a stay during the pandemic, please note that the dining rooms of all Chicago-area restaurants are closed, but many in the neighborhood now have walk-up windows and/or are open for takeout.
  • Amy’s place was perfect for our needs. It was comfortable, cute, and a perfect location. She provided everything we needed and checked in with us during our stay.

    Devan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was amazing! I booked for a staycation, and it was perfect. While I haven’t used Airbnb many times, I know a hit out of the park when I see one! Thanks Amy! Will definitely stay again!

    Beth2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Amy's apartment was absolutely perfect for our trip. We only stayed 2 nights, but it was so nice to come back to her place after a day of walking around Chicago. The neighborhood and building are so quiet and the apartment itself was beautiful! My only MINOR negative is that there was no full-length mirror in the apartment, but it's really not a big deal.

    Kaci2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amy is a super host. She replied me back very fast. The room is clean and located in a good area. I would recommend to my friends.

  • Great place, great host, great location!

    Abraham2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I stayed here during a recent visit to Chicago to see family. I specifically picked this place due to location - Lincoln Square is such a fun neighborhood with interesting shops and nearby to transit. The place was clean and very thoughtfully decorated, and check-in was smooth. We didn’t meet Amy, but she reached out a few times via email which was appreciated. Note for future guests: 1) The apartment is quite cozy for two people - a full bed and couch, albeit both were comfortable. 2) It is a third floor walk-up, so be mindful of this if you’re concerned about accessibility. I would definitely recommend this AirBnb and would also definitely stay again!

    Hannah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

  • Walking in the door at night and seeing the view of the city lit up made for a very welcoming first impression. Same with the very clean apt and the friendly and helpful text exchanges with Margarita. I knew immediately that I was going to be very happy in this space and I was right.

  • THE BEST AIRBNB EXPERIENCE!! We chose this location for a weekend getaway to share relaxed togetherness time and plan wedding details, and we got that and more! The beautiful trees and gentle creek add a perfect ambiance that we would love to see in peak summer and fall times! Abey was generous and very helpful, even surprisingus with the best mulled wine and chai tea we've had! Cozy with a glamping feel, we were beyond happy with our stay!! Thank you to Dr. Abey and his family!

  • Worth it for the complimentary glass of warm meade alone! lols Comfortable bed. Great shower pressure with a nice assortment of toiletries. Warm and cozy for a chilly wintry night.

  • Honestly beyond expectations. This stay had everything and more then I wanted and they even had breakfast ready for us. The view from the bedroom made you feel as if you were in a cabin in the woods and the morning air felt great. Communication was amazing and they had answers to any questions we had. I strongly recommend this stay to anyone wanting to stay around the Racine area.

  • I was so impressed by all of the little touches that went above and beyond - from offering to make us a hot drink when we arrived, to hotel toiletries, to cream and milk in the fridge for our coffee. This is a really relaxing spot to stay and I hope to visit again!

  • The location is great and the back porch is amazing (we didn't get to experience it a lot since it was cold and there was a lot of snow). Service is amazing! Beware though if you are over 6' tall, some of the ceilings are very low. Also just know that you are in the basement of an occupied house so you will hear the hosts upstairs if they are hosting other events.

  • This is a wonderful getaway with great hosts who went above and beyond to provide a warm and thoughtful welcome into their beautiful guest house! Look forward to going back during the summer to enjoy the view of their back yard! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway into the Midwest!

  • We really enjoyed staying at Abey's place. The view of the park and creek is gorgeous, even in winter. The apartment feels so warm and cozy, and a great place to get away for a few days. It shows what happens when someone is intentional about the space they create for others to stay in. Will definitely come back again. Absolutely worth it.

There are middle-of-the-road types, and then there are middle-of-it-all types. If taking in everything is your jam, then this beautiful River North studio might be your perfect place. Walking distance from all sorts of Chicago bars, restaurants, and museums, this spot also features a swimming pool, basketball court, full gym, and rooftop running track. Work hard, play hard, and see the best of the city from any angle.
River North is the center of Chicago activity: world-class restaurants, tourist destinations, and an endless selection of nightlife, this is where you want to be if you’re trying to see and do it all, party animals and gym rats alike.
  • More than what I expected and would definitely recommend anyone to stay here. Amazing view!!!

  • Great location and stylish apartment. Felt very safe coming and going with the lobby guard. Great restaurants nearby, Il porcellino lasagna is to die for! Laundry in unit came in handy. Was very appreciative for the opportunity to do late check out for a small fee, made my last day much more comfortable!

    Elisa2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • CLEAN, great view and great location sums up our stay. We couldn't have imagined a better staycation. I would definitely stay again and again.

  • Nice place! Watch the balcony door lock.

    Anjeanette2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place with an awesome view! I would love to come back! Only gripe is a weird one: somehow the modem was halfway in the surge protector when we arrived! Meaning the Wi-Fi was up & running but Wi-Fi wasn't connect to ISP/internet for half our stay. And I felt like an idiot when I discovered this because I tried troubleshooting by unplugging the router & modem BUT I did so from the boxes & not the surge protector. Lol so if you arrive & internet is down, make sure all networking equipment (under the bed) is securely plugged into surge protector (or wall). ~Cheers
