Places to stay in Lancefield

Places to stay in Lancefield
Do you want to get away for some peace and quiet, attend a function or one of the many events in the area, visit Macedon Ranges wineries or are you undertaking business in the district? We offer comfortable and affordable accommodation. Close to conference centers, wineries and events/attractions. If we don't have any guests before or after your stay check in/out time can be extended. Thanks for looking. Colin and Trudi
Your accommodation is a self-contained unit on 13 acres of land 600m from Lancefield. It has a main bedroom with ensuite and reading area. There is a separate lounge room with TV/DVD. The separate kitchen/dining area has a microwave, gas cooktop, large fridge, toaster and coffee making facilities. It is air conditioned to keep you comfortable no matter what the season. It was originally a 2 bedroom flat so plenty of room. In some navigation systems ( 20%) you will be directed to the wrong address. It is 600m on the right from Lancefield service station traveling towards Kilmore. We will send a map when you book in.
Enjoy a walk along the wide tree lined Main St and grab a great coffee or something to eat. If you would like to get a bit of exercise have a walk around Lancefield Park or take a stroll down the walking track that runs between Lancefield and Romsey (It’s about 8km to Romsey). Alternately a 15-minute drive will take you to Hanging Rock, Woodend and the north side of Mt Macedon. The same driving time to the north will take you through the granite hills to Tooborac. To the east you will find the growing town of Kilmore. If you are not sure on directions and would like to visit any of the many attractions, we will loan you a portable navigation device to help you find your way.
  • A gem of a place, close to everything but tucked away in a peaceful and private location. The space is clean and spacious with good amenities for self catering, although the bakery and the pub at Lancefield are good eating out options. Checking in and out was easy and Trudi and Colin were very welcoming. And so were the two beautiful horses! Highly recommended, we would love to come back.

  • Just needed a night off and this place popped up and looked ideal, booked it late afternoon and communication was great, got there and everything was perfect, couldn’t have been better, the flat is fantastic, comfortable bed and pitch black bedroom at night (something I like a lot), nice kitchen, comfortable couch and the resident horses are quite friendly (take a bag of apples and make a couple of friends) I loved this place and I will be back for a longer stay soon..

  • Clean little bungalow great location for trips to hanging rock. Trudi and Colin are awesome. Best hosts ever

  • Well, this little gem of a place was an absolute pleasure to stay in! A quaint little jockey's quarters that has been revamped into a lovely self-contained granny flat. What's more, the hospitality provided by Colin and Trudi was exceptional. Colin went above and beyond in his hosting duties and we were so incredibly grateful. The resident horses coming to the fence for a pat was a wonderful highlight. Thank you so very much for a lovely stay! P.s - to others travelling to the area, there is really no public transport or Uber. However, the flat is within walking distance of the local pub and I can recommend their hot chips!

  • This was one of my partner and I’s favourite air bnb we’ve had the pleasure of staying at. Gorgeous and private little home with beautiful amenities. Our favourite part was the outdoor bath and the fire place. We will definitely come back here again to enjoy it all over!

    Prue2018-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jennine's place was one beautiful and stylish cottage that gave us a total luxury to enjoy the weekend away from the busy city living of Melbourne. The place was super clean and modern with amazing interior deco w lots of arty touch - even plates and cups were artist made and felt special using them;) The outside bath worked as a real treat and felt like we were in the hot spring under the stars. Bed was super comfy and everything we needed were there. The kitchen worked very well and we made a full use of it by baking yummy food all evening. And thanks Jennine for providing a full set of continental breakfast! The heater was surprisingly warm and effective for heating the whole place very quick and there was even a high tech floorheating in the bathroom! Communication with Jennine was efficient and fast. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and was a perfect place for a special weekend away:) Thanks Jennine!

  • Great relaxing place to stay.

    Sean2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is absolutely idyllic, every room having it's own charm. There's honestly not a nook in this house that you don't want to spend time in. As beautifully as it presents itself in the photos, I was blown away to see it in person. It get's a lot of natural sunlight as there are many windows, making each room (bathroom included) having a beautiful view out to the lake or the stunning gardens. Ann was fantastic, so welcoming and easy to communicate with, and really went above and beyond. The space was extremely spacious, hosting and sleeping eight of us. We used the fireplace which made the cold night so beautiful and cosy. We watched the sunrise over the lake in the morning. The only thing we wished we could change was that we only stayed for one night!! Highly recommend for a group trip or a luxurious and spacey getaway with a couple of people. Would love to come back soon!!

    Tess2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cottage surrounded by a magnificent garden and sprawling countryside and a couple of large lake. The cottage is elegant and well appointed. Thoughtful touches of wine and fresh artisan bread. Ann welcomed us and we felt comfortable and relaxed after our journey. Would highly recommend this property.

Built in 1857 and now a historical landmark, the old schoolhouse has been lovingly restored and tastefully decorated to be a peaceful and private escape for two. Breakfast provisions provided. https://www.rochfordschoolhouse.com/
The schoolhouse has retained many of its original features including grand fireplace, high windows and soaring vaulted ceiling. The large gas leadlight, exposed brick walls and wrought iron fixtures give the schoolhouse its character and a romantic, cosy atmosphere. A modern, sun-filled gallery includes breakfast room and bathroom with stone walled shower and amenities.
A short 60 minute scenic drive from Melbourne, Rochford is nestled in between the towns of Lancefield, Woodend and Romsey in the heart of Macedon Ranges wine country. Rochford is the perfect base for exploring the region’s wineries as well as Mt Macedon, the mysterious Hanging Rock and art galleries. The area is a haven for foodies and wine lovers. Nearby towns play host to local farmers’ markets.
  • We totally loved this place. It looked exactly as advertised and every little detail was taken care of, from freshly picked veggies and fresh flowers, a phone charger by the bed. The fireplace was lovely and the hosts very helpful and responsive in advance of our booking. We were sorry to leave and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a private getaway.

    Adam2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

    Lisa2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely wonderful. We had a wedding to attend in the area and wanted a nice place to stay to make it a whole weekend. This place was perfect! Such fantastic location for Macedon, hanging rock etc. beautiful touches with food (some home made), toiletries, chocolates etc. Sophie was excellent with communication and very accommodating. Highly recommend for a weekend away.

    Sonia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place, full of thoughtful touches, it was better then staying at a 5* hotel. They really have thought of everything, especially with the bits provided for breakfast, with homemade bread and all the provisions to cook up whatever you want. I’ve asked for the recipe for Sophie’s chocolate slices - they were phenomenal!

    Clare2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Sophie’s school house for my parents Christmas present and they absolutely loved it! They said they had the most wonderful stay and absolutely loved the interior of the school house and all the small touches! They really enjoyed their beautiful breakfast and homemade bread! A great night away with beautiful surrounds. Thanks for having them Sophie!

Our rustic house is set in bush and farmland with a quiet serenity. See kangaroo, wallaby, and cockatoos from the verandah and (sometimes) kookaburra, wombat and echidna if you walk quietly through the bush. Or just chat with the cows or watch the hops growing in season. Great vineyards nearby!
Quiet country house with access to our bush or the Cobaw State Forest. Native flora and fauna as well as farmland and a creek that is often running. Dams for swimming or yabbying in the summer. Warm fireplace in the winter. Lancefield farmers market each month and vineyards up the road and in the area. 1 hours easy drive from Melbourne. Full cooking facilities Kayak for the dam Pre-loved bicycles Eclectic books TV We are at the farm 2 -3 days per week but are only an hour away if needed when we are not there The area is quietly developing an eclectic nature with vineyards up the road, coffee roasters over the back and our nascent hops crop just to name a few. Hanging Rock and the more established tourist areas around Mt Macedon are close enough (15 mins) to visit but far enough away to not impinge There is a train/bus service to Lancefield from Melbourne that takes 90 minutes but we are still 7kms out of Lancefield and there is no public transport for that section

  • Super spacious farmhouse with cute decor and lots of nice touches (like lots a of great books on the bookshelves and games for the kids). David was very kind in letting us book a night last minute, and was there to say hi when we arrived. We enjoyed waking up to goats clip-clipping on the veranda and the location was excellent. A lovely country getaway.

A lovely 2 bedroom cottage, walking distance to the Newham General Store and a short drive to the iconic Hanging Rock. This 100 year old house has recently been restored, preserving original features like pressed metal ceilings and combustion stove while adding modern amenity in a sensitive manner. It stands on 6 acres in the heart of the Newham village and a short walk to the top of the block reveals stunning views to Hanging Rock and the Cobaw Ranges.
  • Such a gorgeous and stylish and comfortable place. Julia was a great communicator and there were lots of thoughtful touches such as amenities for breakfast.

  • This is such a lovely escape nest, truly in the country but not very far from so many destinations, large and small. We arrived in the rain and immediately felt welcome and cosy. The rooms are generously sized and offer a combination of outlook and refuge opportunities. Very comfy beds, incredible breakfast offerings and much time spent laughing around the kitchen table added up to a very special stay. Thank you Julia - you’ve created somewhere very special and true for your lucky guests.

  • Gorgeous, quaint little home. Perfectly clean with all of the creature comforts. The beds were so comfortable and we would stay again in a heartbeat!

    Hailey2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Bobby’s Cottage was an absolute delight. It was such a cute little cottage which gorgeous vintage touches. The views are AMAZING! Sitting at the window bench on Sunday morning, sipping my coffee while gazing at the hay-filled hills (and spotting rabbits & water birds) made me dream of owning my own country cottage. The gorgeous sheds & out-buildings were lovely.

    Melissa2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is very comfortable. We had 2 teenagers with us and they were very impressed- the wifi provision, electric blankets (it was 14 degrees on one of our days-beginning of January!) and classy bathroom were notable for them. Breakfast provisions were very welcome and we enjoyed the variety for different preferences.

    Nicole And Andrew2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous little getaway! We travelled in the middle of a heat wave and were a little nervous about how cool it would be inside but it was perfect. So full of character, it has everything you could need and more to be oh so comfy and feel at home. Clean and fresh, in a great little spot, we were planning our trip back before we had even left. We have a 20 month old and she was able to explore safely inside, had so much space to play and sleep. Really child friendly. Everything was so great! And Hanging Rock winery right around the corner, so good! Thank you, one of the most comfy trips we've taken!

    Candida & Symone2019-12-30T00:00:00Z

  • Veronica is a great host. I highly recommend to stay in her property. She is super sweet and detail oriented. The place is beautiful, the views, the property... the nice touches in every corner of the house even the dogs are friendly. I will be back for sure.

  • Amazing getaway. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend away.

    Joel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Firstly we would like to thank Veronica for her hospitality. From the moment I had booked in she was nothing but friendly and helpful. The Airbnb itself was sparkling clean and much more than what we expected. The scenery of the farm and it's surroundings were breath taking, which made you want to never close the blinds. Veronica made sure that our stay was special and was always there if we needed help or even just a chat, however she also endeavored to provide us with privacy, which made us feel even more at home. I wish we could have stayed longer to see the rest of the farm, as well as sit and pat the 2 friendly dogs that escorted us in. We look forward to the next time we are able to stay again, only question is 'Wren' Thank you again for everything - Chris

    Chris2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is beautiful and tranquil space to relax and unwind in. Veronica is a wonderful host, her communication is fantastic and the extra touches along with her attention to detail make this space somewhere very special. I would highly recommend staying at Fellcroft Farm, it was just amazing.

    Leah2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Still can’t get over how amazing the place was and Veronica is such an amazing woman. She has done a great job perfecting the place and how she makes her guests feels like home and family. We appreciated things that she’s done for us from giving us tips where to go in macedon ranges to (most especially) giving me a birthday card and a birthday muffin. We loved her place sooooo much that we have started to plan our trip back there as soon as we got home. We shall see you soon Veronica xx

    Marife2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The absolute best from the absolute best. Just wow! I’m so grateful I stumbled across this beautiful Farm Stay. Veronica has gone above and beyond with these two amazing stays. Her hospitality and genuine care and interest for her guests is better than I’ve ever experienced. It was my partner’s birthday weekend and we were greeted with a homemade cake and birthday card. It’s intimate but not invasive. Every finishing touch in the space is well thought out. It truly looks like it’s been put together by someone who has studied interior design for years. The views are peaceful and the air is fresh. We will DEFINITELY be back. Veronica is now on speed dial for whenever we need an escape from reality. Thank you Veronica. We felt truly humble and blessed to be able to meet you and experience your beautiful Kingfisher.

  • Damien's place is somewhere we will definitely want to come back to. It is set in a fantastic position at the foot of Mount Macedon. We used it as a base to go hiking with our small dog and to climb Hanging Rock and explore the wine region. Damien's communication was spot on and so helpful. He and his wife have done a great job with their design of this container ship getaway.

  • Really lovely, peaceful and quiet. The view over the valley was amazing. To gaze across the fields and see the wildlife was very special. Great facilities- we had everything we needed. Near to the town- Woodend. Ate at the local pub. Vic hotel on the owner recommendation. The best rack of pork ribs we’ve ever eaten. I’d recommend booking a table as the place was packed- we got the last table. Being able to bring our dog was such a bonus. The morning walks were really great. Thanks again- it was everything as described and so much more. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Private cottage set in a bush setting. Perfect for bushwalkers, mountain bikers or a couples retreat. Plenty of wallabies, wombats, kookaburras, koalas, echidnas etc to keep you company. Parking for multiple vehicles, Wifi, TV, mobile reception. The studio has one main room and it is possible to have one small child stay with you in a portacot. But be aware that it is a shared room, so you can't do too much after they go to bed. Two children would be a bit too squishy.
Private Studio, located above the main house with views into the surrounding bush. The main room has cathedral ceilings and includes a two seater, recliner couch, queen size bed, TV, stereo, record player with a few old vinyls, sound bar, coat stand, wardrobe, table for two and a kitchenette. Kitchenette has a single portable induction cooktop (including pots and pan), Nespresso Coffee machine with frother, bar fridge, microwave, rice cooker, toaster and kettle. A separate bathroom has a toilet, shower and basin. An entrance porch is accessed from the west which has a table and two chairs, a great bush setting and sunset views through the trees. Wallabies and wombats come through each night, with the local echidna making a visit every few days. Native birds abound and you can hear the koalas mating calls at certain times of the year (If you haven't heard a koala mating call - you won't forget it... its not that romantic).
Bushwalkers and mountain bikers paradise, leave the studio and walk straight into the bush, untouched since the bushfires of 1983. Tracks from the studio head out directly to the various trails over the mount, or you can wander down the drive and into the Mount Macedon CBD (1.2km away) there is a great pub and cafe to keep you entertained for hours. A unique property in that we have no neighbours, we are surrounded by state forest, so the only things you will hear at night are the wombats and wallabies.
  • Luke and Fran were great hosts, making our stay in their perfect studio so comfortable and hospitable. The location of their studio was perfect, just a stones throw from local wineries, pub, cafe and tourist attractions. They exceeded our expectations in terms of the studio itself, with great amenities, a comfortable bed and a toasty fireplace, complete with a continental breakfast. Fran was a great help on check in as she gave us some good tips for local eats and hiking trails., and they also let us know of a baby echidna that was wandering around the property! Overall I could not recommend this stay any higher!

Riddells Creek is a small peaceful country town at the foothills of the Macedon Ranges, surrounded by lovely rural pastures and bushland. Kangaroos are frequent visitors, even to my street, and my garden is visited by many beautiful colourful birds especially rosellas, lorikeets, fairy wrens and honeyeaters, as well as the typical Aussie battler, the magpie! In the town we have one small supermarket , an excellent deli, a couple of good cafes, a very good Indian restaurant, a Thai restaurant and a pizza and pasta place. There is a small medical centre, pharmacy, hairdresser, post office, lovely neighbourhood house, a pub and the best op shop for miles around! A few kms away is Gisborne or Macedon for other lovely eating places, pubs and wineries. There is a pretty park and lake in Riddells Creek. Dromkeen historic homestead is just outside Riddells Creek - lovely big house on 25 acres with fascinating gallery and tearoom. The larger towns of Gisborne and Sunbury are 10 mins drive away, and on the train line. Riddells Creek is very well positioned for the city and the tourist areas of the Macedon Ranges, including Hanging Rock and many good wineries. If you are interested in theatre, the beautiful Mount Players theatre is nearby and they put on some fantastic shows. The Spa Country, an area famous for its mineral springs, is about 40 mins drive away. Also Riddells Creek is a perfect peaceful stop-off if you are on your way round Australia

  • Caroline's B&B was just the perfect place to stay overnight. The bed was very comfortable and there were many stylish aspects from the tiles in the bathroom to the light fittings. I can thoroughly recommend staying at Caroline's place. It was a lovely, restful experience.

  • Caroline was a great Host nothing was any trouble for her. The Cottage was so cute and very clean. There was a good selection of Dvds, breakfast was thoughtfully arranged and Caroline even supplied a little Almond milk for me as I'm lactose intolerant. I would thoroughly recommend Caroline's little cottage for a secluded little break!

  • Caroline's place was perfect for our trip to the airport the next morning. It's a short 30 minutes or so away and very convenient. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It's a great little secluded spot in the back of the property and was so much better than staying in a hotel room. Everything was great, and we will definitely stay here again on our way through that area of the country.

    Keith2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Caroline's place is a lovely little quaint spot in town. Would have been lovely to stay a little longer & enjoy the lovely garden settings. Our very short stay of overnight there was really enjoyable.

  • Caroline’s wee cottage was a delight to stay in. Set in her very lovely garden, it’s petite but perfectly appointed. Super comfy bed and pillows plus lots of lovely thoughtful touches. Great breakfast choices, much more than we could have asked for. We will be back :)

    Kyle2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Brian's place in Woodend - it's a little out of the main town but was the perfect location for us as the family party we attended was just a 5 mins walk away. The lounge is comfortably furnished, Foxtel & Wi-Fi provided, fresh milk in the fridge & a fresh crusty loaf of bread. The bed was super comfy with lovely linens & doona - soft towels in the bathroom & a great shower - there's also a bathtub. The space is part of the main house but fairly self contained, surrounded by lovely gardens. Highly recommended.

  • Nicky's was a great place to stay. Karen was there to meet us, showed us around the apartment & suggested places for us to eat. We only stayed for one night but thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Next time we hope to stay longer! Many thanks.

  • Clean, comfortable and incredibly spacious getaway. Such a great place for longer stays - we were sad we were there for just an evening!

    Nicola2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home in a quiet, peaceful location. The hosts were quick to respond to messages and Karen was incredibly friendly and helpful when we checked in. She offered lots of suggestions for things to do/places to see during our stay and her local knowledge was much appreciated. The apartment itself was clean, tidy and tastefully decorated and contained all the amenities that we needed during our stay. It is perfectly suited to a single traveller, couple or couple with an infant (as was our circumstance - you will need to bring your own portacot, however there is plenty of space in the bedroom to set it up). I would definitely recommend the apartment to visitors to the Macedon Ranges :)

On a serene and picturesque property dedicated to giving animals sanctuary whilst conveniently located a short drive to shops and Hanging Rock for our concert. The place was incredibly clean, stylish and thoughtfully presented. Do yourself a favour and get here and disconnect from the stresses of the city. Pam, the team and the animals were fantastic!

  • Our stay couldn’t be more perfect! Amazing hospitality by Edgar’s Mission and we were blown away by the tiny house and the tour we went on. Loved waking up and drinking coffee on the porch with our sheep friends just beyond the porch. The Main Street is just 5 minutes away and so many good options to eat, or go exploring at hanging rock for a good walk. Overall, stop thinking about it and just book it!

Bungalow on productive organic permaculture vegetable and fruit mini-farm bordered by both a river and a creek in a beautiful, quiet location with scenic Turpins Falls and The Cascades nearby, between the cafe-filled towns of Kyneton and Castlemaine.
It's safe, peaceful and quiet here - perfect for isolating during the current crisis! It is the tranquillity and beauty of this property, with its beautiful garden surrounded by undulating farmland with magnificent gum trees, and with scenic bushland and breathtaking natural features nearby, that makes this a unique experience. The wide range of vegetables and fruits that surround the bungalow, grown intensively by hand and hoe and organic methods only, will be of interest to many guests and add to the uniqueness of your stay here. Generally a couple or a single person stay, but some guests have stayed with a baby, toddler or young child and found the mini-farm an ideal attraction for the kids because of the pigs, chooks, very friendly goats, and two cute bouncy young collie dogs. Many adult guests love the animals too!
Metcalfe is an amazingly quiet, tranquil village considering how close it is to Melbourne - and it is exceptionally beautiful country too, with undulating farms overseen by huge gum trees, and steep hills covered with bush. The breathtaking natural features The Cascades and Turpins Falls are both in Metcalfe, and it is close to Mt Alexander, Black Hill Reserve, and Malmsbury with its botanic gardens and historic viaduct. 15 minutes away is Piper Street in Kyneton with its chef's-hatted restaurants; it's not much further to the historic goldfields towns of Castlemaine, Maldon and Bendigo; and both the Daylesford spa country and the Mt Macedon region, including Hanging Rock and Trentham Falls, are little more than half an hour away. There are many wineries in the region such as Coliban just up the road, and Sutton Grange only ten minutes away. You could drive up to Lake Eppalock or to the Heathcote wine region too. The quiet little hamlet of Metcalfe is positioned at the centre of all the attractions of Central Victoria, so it makes a great place to base your holiday.
  • Rob and Gunilla’s place was the best little hideaway for a weekend trip. The cottage is cosy but has everything you might need, and we loved the supply of dvds for a quiet night in. All the local tips were super helpful, and we loved interacting with all the animals and sitting on the porch watching the sun go down.

    Laura2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed for a week and had a great time, beautiful gardens full of native birds. It was great to see the fruit and veggies thriving without the use of pesticides and herbicides. The cabin is very comfortable and Rob and gunilla were terrific hosts

    Mick2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and refreshing time away from the city

    Nic2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Well worth staying more than one night. This was what we both needed after a long road trip. Relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet

    John2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time on the mini farm. The garden was amazing and we got to use some of the fresh produce in our home cooked dinner. Rob and Gunilla were both lovely. We also recommend trying their cafe in town which served the best curry using fresh veggies from their farm. Hope to stay again!

    Zanda2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific for anyone, like us, who needs some green re-invigoration away from the dull grey of the city. Amazing gardens/farm, a plethora of birds and bees and other animals, and beautiful river very close by. Rob was very welcoming and it was inspiring to see his and Gunilla's self-made life in Metcalfe. I would very happily return.

    Camilla2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay for a weekend away. Awesome garden to explore and super cute dogs. A draw full of DVDs to watch if spending a night in. Highly recommend swimming at nearby Turpin Falls.

  • The cute bungalow was located on an amazing little mini-farm; great location to regional Vic food and wine areas and close to Hanging Rock for the concert that we were heading too! The hosts were lovely, and very accommodating - letting us arrive an hour early!

  • Georgina and David’s place was more than we could ask for! The place was stylish with very modern amenities and absolutely sparkling clean! We really felt like we had escaped into the countryside on this amazing property. David and Georgina were very hospitable, wonderfully welcoming and were ready to help with anything we needed! Rarely ever does an Airbnb exceed my expectations, but this was an outstanding exception- they’ve set the bar high.

    Elysia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Georgina and David have put together a great experience at Goldie Views, the location is secluded and quiet providing great views and of the ranges. The land is huge providing opportunities to walk around the forest/woodland behind the barn, where you can see some wild animals if you’re lucky. The retreat is in between two towns and drivable distance of many, even providing chances for some great day trips if you have the time. Little touches put together by Georgina and David make the experience more memorable and the retreat is spacious and cosy at the same time. Would highly recommend for any couples looking to get away, especially from the city.

  • Georgina's and David's apartment is definitely the best place we stayed so far during our long years' experience of travel. It is well-thought-through, with many details such as the fireplace that looks so real, but is not and keeps the whole unit warm. The bathroom floor heating is a thing we loved in the morning as well as the two showers! The relaxing sofa, the huge TV screen, the very well equipped kitchen!!! And then there is this soooo comfortable bed (and we are really picky about beds!) and don't forget about the provided breakfast, produced by David and Georgina themselves. Two different jams, very highly recommendable muesli, the organic eggs, butter, milk, orange juice, etc. We loved it and they both take care to top up everything you need! We never met hosts that made you feel welcome in such a sweet way, thinking of each and everything. A bowl with freshly picked raspberries was waiting for us on the counter of the kitchen with a letter beside it welcoming us. Both hosts are such nice and easy-going people. David showed us how to walk around on their land and even bothered taking his time in the evening to help us meet kangaroos in the evening. The view from their balcony is breathtaking and has a huge roof to shelter you from wind and rain. This accommodation is worth staying there for more than a weekend!! The only thing we regretted: Leaving the place after five very interesting days while feeling absolutely refreshed.

    Judith2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very accommodating well thought out and elegant modern barn stay. Great views of rolling hills above the lake. Georgina and David are open to share there home grown treats from there gardens and orchard. Will not disappoint.

  • Georgina and David's place is all you could need for a weekend away from the city. Very stylish, clean and the thoughtful touches made our stay very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place

  • We had a lovely stay at Eduardo and Ally’s bnb. Such a lovely spot to get out of the city. Really close to Hanging Rock, Mt Macedon and Woodend. The bed was so comfortable, so you’ll sleep well. Bath is large and great for a soak. We were greeted by two friendly chickens and had a great time meeting the alpacas and cows. Highly recommend.

  • Our stay at Jackie’s place was perfect. She kindly allowed us an early check in and a late check out. Check in was very easy and she communicated well with us throughout. The house is so comfortable and very clean with everything we required for our stay. The little touches like the jigsaws, inflatables for the pool and toiletries in the shower were great. The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back if we have the chance.

  • We booked for our bridal party to stay here the for the night as we wanted to be located close to the venue for our early start for wedding prep there the next morning. This place was perfect as it was 5 minutes from the venue with a laid back, country vibe that was perfect for (trying) to relax the night before the big day. Jakie was very responsive and accommodating at all times and flexible with our check in times. The house is perfect for large groups. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, especially for the bride.

  • Jackie and Tristan’s place is really lovely, peaceful and tranquil. Very spacious - ideal for groups or get togethers. The place is well lit. The pool area is nice with pool accessories. • What a fantastic host! What a fantastic stay! From the moment we booked our (last minute!) stay at Fellcroft Farm, Veronica went above and beyond what I would expect from a host. Her down to earth nature puts you immediately in your comfort zone and you feel like you’ve known her forever. After our warm greeting and introduction, Veronica is careful not to invade your privacy and allow you to soak up the amazing views from her newly built cabins. The cabins are faultless; there’s a beautiful view from any window, an authentic feel about it with the reclaimed antique furniture, and there’s no skimping on the bed & en-suite, 5 stars! The property is beautiful, peaceful and full of interest, we will definitely stay longer next time. And the best part is, it’s an easy trip out of Melbourne, perfect for a weekender or short notice getaway. My partner and I are already looking forward to a return trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space Veronica, see you again!

  • I still can't get over how beautiful this property was. Cosy, peaceful with all the little touches thought of. Views from every window! It was the perfect way to spend our one year anniversary. Veronica, our host, so welcoming and warm, went above and beyond the entire time to ensure we were comfortable. We will be back!
