  • This is a lovely cabin overlooking the river. It has one of the best equipped Airbnb kitchens we've seen in a long time: new appliances, high quality cookware, and everything you need to get started. Clean water supply. Cozy bedroom, small but comfortable living room with satellite television, and a front porch with seats for morning coffee, or evening refreshments. Lots of maps and brochures to read through. Park right next to the cabin. Extremely easy check-in. Store, and restaurant/bar is two minute walk away. Almost no traffic even on a long weekend. Quite perfect.

  • Such a great little spot! I’ve been to a number of Airbnbs, and this was one of my favourites. Lots of little thoughtful touches, and it was so nice reading on the porch overlooking the river on a sunny evening. A lovely little place. I wish we would have stayed another day.

    Jay2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Had an excellent time. Modern amenities, very comfortable and even has satellite TV and wifi. Private and looks out on the Quesnel River. I met Shelley and she was very personable, kind and professional.

Near the mighty Quesnel river, Shaky Knees Tree House sits 7 metres high among Western red cedar and Douglas fir trees. The spacious wrap around deck looks out on a mixed evergreen and deciduous forest with a daisy meadow at its feet. A relaxing gurgle can be heard as Youngren creek ambles down the hill beside the tree house. This very private area includes a stroll to a pond with a small waterfall. Shaky Knees is an eco-friendly, unplugged experience with most amenities.
Shaky Knees is easily accessible with its own private driveway and well-lit, level entrance. The tree house has a large, yoga friendly, wrap around deck with chairs and hammock for relaxing. An open kitchen and sitting area are on the main floor with a queen sized bed in the loft above. A full bathroom with on-demand hot water and composting toilet is also on the main floor. The kitchen has everything you need to turn your day's catch into a delicious meal. A hot air popper and popcorn are always on hand. Gold pans and shovels are yours to use as you explore the historic Gold Rush area.
Shaky Knees is less than 1 km (10 min walk) away from the heart of downtown Likely, B.C., a quaint town with a population of 350 people. Here you will find the local pub, restaurants and general store. The town of Likely is one of the few surviving old towns from the Cariboo Gold Rush Days with plenty of gold panning, mountain biking, world class fishing, kayaking, wildlife viewing and many more activities.
  • A destination in itself. I was lucky enough to be the last guest of the season and I’m grateful for the experience. Howard and Elaine are as calm, cool, helpful and amazing as they come. The Shaky Knee Treehouse is slightly surreal and like a piece of art suspended in the trees. Separated from the rest of the world in the rural town of Likely it’s a dreamy getaway. My stay here is the highlight to our time in the Cariboo.

  • Amazing location! Outstanding hosts. Very accommodating. Enjoyed our stay. What a wonderful place.

    Trevor2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • You will be pleasantly surprised! Chances are you will wish you stayed longer!

    Debbie2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Cariboo is so lucky to have such a well crafted, peaceful and cozy getaway so close to town. Howard and Elaine are so kind and their property is a dream. Will stay again for at least 2-3 days because one is not enough!

    Mikayla2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Tucking into a hidden path in the woods, you’ll be guided to Shaky Knees. The treehouse is a truly magical oasis nestled amongst the trees. You’ll be so impressed with the craftsmanship and attention to detail in the creation of this incredibly warm and welcoming space. Howard and Elaine are just lovely hosts - you’ll definitely feel welcomed and taken care of. It is a wonderful place to disconnect: there is no cell phone service (wifi at the main house for quick check ins) and no TV. There is plenty of exploring to do nearby. We spent part of a day exploring the ghost town of Quesnel Forks, but really wanted to enjoy our time in the treehouse. We spent most of our time there, reading, crafting, eating on the deck, lounging in the hammock. They provide books and games, though we didn’t end up using them ourselves. The kitchen is nicely stocked with cookware, the water from the spring was fresh and lovely. The shower was great, the composting toilet was a conversation starter and the bed was comfortable. Even the soap was handmade by Elaine. We absolutely loved our time in the treehouse and hope to be back. We’ll definitely be sending friends their way. Thank you to Howard and Elaine for their wonderful hospitality and creative spirit! ♥️

    Kim2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! As the other reviews say, the photos don’t do it justice. If your considering stay here do it, you won’t regret it!

    Ella2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Howard and Elaine's treehouse is a wonder to behold. We loved every minute of our stay. From the warm welcome to the impeccably decorated guest suite, we were in awe. They have a wealth of knowledge of the surrounding area and were able to give us great suggestions. We look forward to staying there again.

    Doug2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This stay will be one of the most memorable ones I've had! The picture don't do justice as to show how beautiful and cozy the treehouse really is. Everything was sparkling clean, with so many beautiful touches to the house's interior. We've had all the kitchen utensils to make ourselves breakfast and dinner which we've enjoyed overlooking the cute little creek that ran just under the treehouse. It is so quiet and if you are running away from the hectic, noisy city life like we did - this is the place to be! Definitely will return.

The remote area is home to many species including bald eagles, moose, mule deer, and black bear. There are remote and secluded beaches all along the endless lakeshore, and nearby rivers both offer opportunities for many for swimming and water sports right from your front yard.

Disconnect to reconnect in our traditional, rustic, romantic log cabin, nestled in the woods, just 25 meters from the shore of Opheim Lake. It's a truly off-grid with no electricity or cell service, sky light windows providing natural light and a wood stove for heating. Enjoy outdoor cooking, sunset and star watching from the outdoor fire pit, right on your door step. Nearby there are abundant wildlife viewing opportunities and plenty of peaceful or adventurous ways to explore the local area!
Experience a true adventure in our beautiful Canadian log cabin! The cabin is situated in the woods surrounding our small-scale family farm, within a short walk to our home. The single room cabin is a cosy space with a queen bed, log fire and basic kitchen area. There's a nice outhouse with a composting toilet within meters. There are hand washing stands both inside and outside the cabin and we'll provide you with fresh drinking water. Shower facilities are available in the main house. Guests are welcome to rent kayaks, canoes or stand up paddle boards during their stay, we have all the equipment you need for an afternoon paddle or longer trip. Our cabin is really special to us. We love to share with with people and ask that guests are respectful and considerate when staying here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Please note we cater to wildlife viewing opportunities and not hunting. The cabin is ideally suited for couples, however we may be able to cater to families with one to two children upon request. We can accommodate well-behaved pets, please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a pet. We ask that dogs are well trained and socialized with other dogs (we have a friendly German Shepard called Cheera) and that guests are aware that no pets are allowed on the furniture. Please be aware that there's no cell service on the area so make sure you make note or take screenshots of directions before setting off!
We are right on the shore of Opheim Lake in Beaver Valley, one of four lakes in a chain of lakes. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty. Beaver Valley is home to eagles, bears, moose, deer, beavers, geese, otters, ducks and lots of other wildlife, often spotted from the lakeside. There's a network of trails on the land for walking or cross-country skiing, ice skating in winter when the lake is frozen and swimming when it's warm in the Summer. We have kayaks, canoes and paddle boards available for rent. We are 48 km from Highway 97. 15 km away is Big Lake Ranch where there's a small community, gas station, shop and pub. 80 km away is Williams Lake, a town with bigger stores, restaurants etc.
  • Absolutely wonderful experience. The cabin is cozy and filled with everything you’d ever need. The hosts are incredibly informative, warm and genuine! If not going to enjoy the beautiful stars, stillness or wildlife the hosts themselves are worth the trip! We felt so welcomed, safe and enjoyed learning about the love and creativity poured into making this fabulous functional yet simplistic retreat!

  • What a gem this cabin is! Authentic, comfortable, and in a beautiful setting. This truly is the perfect get away. We had a wonderful time exploring the area, hanging out by the outdoor fire and relaxing in the cabin. Norm & Candace have provided a lovely space to enjoy, the little touches and details around the camp are exceptional. Thank you again for sharing your space!

    Liz2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Norm & Candace's cabin couldn't be better. It is the perfect size and location for a little getaway. Everything you could need for getting away from it all that ensures you are comfortable and well looked after. My girlfriend and dog stayed for three nights over New Year, Norm provided us with all the information we needed in advance and made arrival a breeze. The breakfast provided each morning surpassed all expectations and included different options for us as vegetarians. The cabin itself has so much charm and character that most days we didn't much feel like getting out and instead sat by the indoor wood burner and talked about how much we would love to live there! When we did venture out we made the most of the hikes and trails around the beautiful lake in which we didn't come across another soul. Norm and Candace made us feel completely welcome and relaxed throughout, we were thoroughly looked after but left alone to do our own thing. You can just feel the effort, care and love that has gone into this very special place. We would completely recommend and hope to go back to experience it in the Summer.

  • This is a cozy and eclectic cabin to spend a weekend at. It was great to have so many outdoor options for cooking. Nice drive along the highway to the property to an extremely quiet secluded corner overlooking the lake.

    Haley2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation was exciting. For us it was something like a survival experiment. The weather made the stay a bit more difficult, but it was still a cozy and sweet place to stay.

    Kristin2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is comfy and cozy with the wood stove. There's so many thoughtful touches that make it clear that Norm and Candace love this place. They're excellent hosts who provided yummy baked goods, canned items, juice, local bacon and eggs when we arrived. The resident dog is also an excellent host :) We enjoyed countless hours around the camp fire and caught a few fish off the dock. Appreciated the tip on taking the back road to Barkerville. I would go again.

    Teresa2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was an amazing experience! Norm and Candace were the bests hosts you can imagine and I can't wait to come back! They have created a little paradise and their love and passion for the place becomes apparent in all the little details in and around the cabin! I loved the beautifully decorated cabin and the outdoor cooking space is just spectacular. We had dinner over the open fire and all we needed was there, from pots to pans to spachelors, to herbs, to an outside sink with towels and dish soap and just all the things you need in a kitchen. The views are beautiful, lots of chairs to sit by the lake, spend time on the private dock or around the fire. There is lots of books in the cabin to read and you can rent kayaks and canoes to either use right then and there on Opheim Lake and the lake chain that follows or to strap on your car (they provide the straps and set up) and take to your favourite lake. We had breakfast at the BnB and it was delicious, healthy and a great start in the day! I can't say enough about how great and special this place was! It truly helps you to forget all the stress, to reconnect with nature and to spend quality time with your friends and family! I just loved every minute of my stay and can't wait to be back!

  • My daughter and I stayed at this quaint, lovely cabin for a few days to get some Mom/daughter time together. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. This rustic and quaint little cabin had everything we were looking for. Candace and Norm have taken care of every detail. From the easy directions to get there, super comfy bed, cozy cabin, and picturesque views. For those worried about roughing it, let your fears subside. There were multiple cooking options from open fire, bbq or propane stove and every cooking utensil you would need to do it. There were so many options to store our food and Candace offered extra ice blocks to keep everything cold. We were greeted to a basket of fresh farm eggs, locally sourced bacon, cream, butter, fresh bread, fruit, preserves, coffee beans and berries from the garden. Ben (my golden retriever) was even spoiled with his own homemade dog biscuits and lake towels. This place is a must. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, separate basement entrance. The room is warm with natural wood, large wool carpet & wood fireplace. Single size hide-a-bed in living room & a couch. Bedroom with queen size bed, side tables & closet. Small kitchen with a table & 2 chairs, fridge, toaster oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & kettle. We are also pet friendly.
Two lovely horses and a dog make this property their home as well. Wildlife such as deer, moose and pesky squirrels abound in the area.

  • J & Ds cottage was a shear pleasure of a stay. We arrived later in the evening and our hosts met us in the driveway and showed us to the cottage. Upon opening the door we were welcomed with a warm fire burning in the wood stove and an immaculately clean and well furnished main room with wifi and hd tv. The kitchen appliances are all newer and includes a good inventory of utensils and kitchenware. The rest of the space (2) bedrooms (1 master & 1 with bunk beds) and the bathroom are outfitted nicely. There is a large deck that wraps around ½ of the cottage which provides a spectacular view of Horsefly Lake and includes a gas bbq. Our hosts Diane and Jack are wonderful people and I cannot recommend this place more highly. We will definitely be back!

  • This air bnb is absolutely beautiful - it’s located in an incredibly peaceful and quiet place in Horsefly looking out into the forest. The house itself has been built from the trees that once lived on the spot and the craftsmanship throughout is stunning. We truly loved it here and spent a lot of time admiring the place. There is a beautiful deck which is lovely to sit on in the afternoons, and there is also a dock at horsefly lake where we suggest sitting to watch the sunset - ask the host for directions. We got some spectacular photographs. We had one niggle however it was quickly addressed. We had booked last minute and I think because of the auto reservation acceptance from an earlier enquiry, the host wasn’t expecting us so we had some confusion when we arrived. Our hosts were brilliant - they quickly sorted out the confusion and made sure we were happy. Since there is no WiFi or phone signal (signal was a 45 min drive away), I would suggest that if you book last minute to reach out to the host before you arrive in Horsefly to confirm arrangements. We really loved the house and if we’re ever back in this part of the world we would rebook without a doubt!

  • This is such a beautiful spot, loved the area and the cabin is awesome. You are definitley able to take a break here. Close enough to the lake to hear the loons which I love. The deck was made for family get togethers and bbq's. Such a great space. The hosts were great to deal with and close by if needed. Evenings were cool so enjoyed the wood stove, very cozy.

  • One of the best Air B&B experiences ever. An amazing place with stunning views. Highly recommended.

  • Bobbi's place was everything the pictures showed, but better in person. The cabin was bigger than we expected. The huge covered deck was a perfect place to sit when it was raining outside or provided shade when it was to sunny. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area.

  • We enjoyed our four nights at Terry’s and Paul’s horse ranch, conveniently just off the highway but quiet. Nice clean one bedroom with a large walk in shower. Just LOVED the fantastic breakfast’s that Terry made for us each morning, some of the best we have had. Very convenient to Quesnel, only about a 10-minute drive. Hope to say there again next year as we are planning another trip in that area.

  • True tranquility, the room, or out for an evening walk around the paths where you can find your self at the fire pit enjoying the company of the farm animals chiming in. Our favourite part was the fire pit, wood, hatchet, and lighter supplied, the extra care is thought ahead with a noticeable first aid kit placed on the side of the wood shed. We enjoyed our evening watching the sky change colours out over the horizon as the stars came out. Breakfast was the next best, talk about feeling like family while everyone enjoyed each other's stories passing food around. Lots of laughs and awesome stories from all over the globe. We will make this our stop when passing through Quesnel. Thank you again for the hospitality! A&C

  • This homey B & B is absolutely recommended. The rooms are clean and the common room has a well stocked movie collection for rainy days. From the hostess you can get useful tips for things to do in the area. The additionally booked large breakfast was delicious and consisted of regional ingredients.

  • I stumbled upon Willow Grove while searching for a kayaking spot. It looked magical, and a spontaneously decided to go the next day! I stayed for 5 days in Horsefly and loved every minute. Christina Mary's home is lovely, artsy, sun-lit and cool. The bed was ultra plush and cozy and I enjoyed listening to the cows moo outside my windows. Breakfast was delicious (never had I tried dandelion syrup before), the bathroom was sparkling and Pow Pow the cat was the cutest, roundest snugglebug. Christina Mary has such a welcoming nature and pointed me in the right directions for fun outdoor adventures. I kayaked and swam for hours in Horsefly Lake. Even when the campsites at the provincial park were all full over the long weekend, it never felt crowded. I cannot get over how crystal clear the water is even when deep! Everything was stunning. I highly recommend this place if you're into kayaking, swimming, relaxing on a beach, doing art, seeking peaceful, quiet spots and love nature. There are deer and little goffers all around, as well as elegant blue herons. I could go on and on about how amazing my experience was, but I must exercise some restraint. 😉 I will definitely return to this gem in the future and recommend it to my friends!

    Heidi2019-08-06T00:00:00Z

    150 Mile House, BC, Canada

The perfect wilderness getaway to reboot your system, meet tranquility and reconnect to nature. The house is on a 160 acres property and is part of a small self sustainable organic farm. We have some Dexter cows, horses, dogs and chickens and there is plenty of wildlife around. The energies on the land and in the house are clean and unpolluted, it is a perfect creative or healing getaway. Not suitable for small children because of our large working dogs.
The place is semi remote surrounded by wilderness, there is no stores close by but you have the option to buy vegetables and eggs right here on the farm. It truly is wilderness around us, so a bit of outdoor savyness is required if you want to venture out. The valley/swamp is a bird sanctuary and a real buzzing place in Spring and Summer. The space is also used for healing retreats and we kindly ask that no recreational drugs be consumed while staying in the house. There is no internet itself in the house but there is wifi just a few yards away. There is also no cell service on the property and in the area.
There is two really nice fishing lakes close by, one is 5 minutes and the other 15 minutes by car. Walking or hiking right from the property. The McLeese Lake pub is 20 minutes, so is the Big Lake pub. We are surrounded by ranches, there might be range cows on the road and you might encounter a few cowboys or cowgirls once in a while during the summer. Some days the coyotes are around but our dogs take care of keeping them at bay and with any luck you can hear the wolves howl if you happen to be outside. Of course it's prime black bear habitat around here, but our dogs are in charge of them as well.
  • Our stay at Simone‘s farm was amazing! We enjoyed the beautiful nature doing some backcountry skiing with skis provided by her and had some relaxing time on the couch watching the fireplace or having nice conversations with Simone and her boyfriend:) Hopefully, we‘ll find some time soon to return!

  • This accommodation gets 5 stars across the board from us. It is exactly as advertised and exceeded our expectations. Our hosts, Barb and Rob, were very pleasant and accomodating. Guests should be aware that they are coming to a serene country location far from noise, lights, and people. All but the last 2.5 km are on paved road so access is easy. The house is beautifully located on a hilltop overlooking fields, meadows, and the river. Last night we turned out all the lights and watched a thunder and lightening storm roll towards us - this is sensational big sky country. The house is well equipped to handle 5 guests comfortably. A convenience store, pub and other small-community amenities are only 5 km away. This is a great choice if you are looking for a place to get away from the city buzz and closer to the country, lakes, and rivers. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • Terry and company were very kind and hospitable! Cozy bedroom and yummy breakfast!

  • I only wish that my stay could have been longer. Terry and her family are great hosts, and I was very happy with the suite, its location, and the delicious breakfast served the next morning. Thanks so much!

    Margareta2018-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • You will not regret your stay with Paul and Terri. The property is grogeous, well laid out. We stayed in the studio suit and we loved how dog friendly it was. We had room for our big kennel and even though it was the heart of winter , they made sure the place was cooking warm! We never ever got cold inside. Terry and Paul are the best cooks! You're in for such a treat eating their breakfast. It was so nice not to worry about what to eat, but a pleasant surprise when we discovered they go above and beyond in their meals. I wasn't expecting much....but if you love coffee they make it perfectly. I highly suggest coming out of your shell and helping around the farm, the experience is most special. And their dogs are lovely. I can't say enough. They do a very good job. We will be back.

Excellent for the adventurous type , outdoor adventures abound in this rugged terrain of lakes , mountains and backwoods . Nature is truly at your door step.
  • Smooth dirt road in. Melinda gave great directions and tips. Lots of light at night and loads of water. Down comforter and wood stove were great, as the temperature dropped at night. Butane burner for simple cooking. Cooler, but no fridge. Just be prepared. The outdoor shower was sweet, too. Vladimir was definitely top billy goat to the responsive herd. Amazing breakfasts and warm hospitality.

  • Melinda is one of the most amazing humans I have ever come across.. my sister and I are in total awe of her and the amazing space she has created. She exudes warmth, authenticity, kindness and gratitude. The cabin is the coziest, the silence at night is unlike anything I've experienced before. The proximity to beautiful Bowren Lake is amazing (we brought paddleboards and paddled across to a secluded sandy beach). Lots of beautiful hiking close by as well. We met nothing but very kind humans in Bowren Lake/Barkerville/Wells. Delicious fresh breakfast joyfully delivered were mindblowing. The goats are the cutest. I could say 100 more things I loved.. this is by far my favorite air bnb experience ever! We are so happy to have crossed paths with Melinda and will most certainly be back lots of times. Thank you!

    Carmen2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a truly outstanding experience. Melinda's warm hospitality was unparalleled; her food was delicious; we both slept extremely well in the comfortable beds, cozy cabin, and very quiet location; and we adored the goats. The outdoor facilities were fun too. Next time I'm in the area, this will be my accommodation of choice, no question. Thank you Melinda!

  • Melinda was super helpful and accessible. The location is great and remote. Buy your groceries in Quesnel.

    Penelope2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Off the grid may sound intimidating but Melinda has a made her cabin cozy and so comfortable for the quietest stay..............it's a place to be able to 'think' without the sounds of the city and a short walk to Bowron Lake to skip rocks was reminiscent of childhood! My sister and i enjoyed the 25 minute drive to Barkerville from the cabin and saw 2 moose and deer along the way...........we recommend this place to those who don't need fancy hotels and elevators...........Melinda is a perfect hostess!

    Randi2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Although 'off the grid', the cabin has LED lights so there's lots of light for evening indoor activities. There is a 2-burner and oven propane stove and plenty of kitchen ware. I found washing dishes awkward as the sink is very small. When we were there (summer 2018) the running water was not working. The beds were very comfortable and it was lovely and quiet - although one night there was a very noisy thunderstorm... Mel provided great breakfasts for our timetable - one at 9 am and one at 6 am!

    Sam2018-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • I was fortunate enough to spend three nights at Melinda's guest cabin while visiting Barkerville at end of June. The property is 25 km from Wells along an excellent dirt road and right by Antler Creek where some of the first gold finds were made back in the early 1860s. Melinda is an amazing character - tough Cariboo settler with rifle and friendly bear dogs - but a heart of pure gold (no pun intended). She did all possible to make me feel welcome and safe in this wild country including the gift of one of her delectable homemade jams. The spacious cabin is most comfortable and blissfully quiet. I enjoyed the coziness of the log burning stove and slept like a baby on the firm mattress. As a 74 year old city slicker I would have needed longer to get used to the outdoor toilet and shower but after a first experience of the latter found a facecloth bath in the warmth of the cabin quite adequate. In short if you're looking for the true Cariboo experience and don't mind roughing it a bit, this is a really great stay.

    John2018-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Melinda's cabin was amazing. She is warm & welcoming. This was my first experience staying off the grid and I had many questions. Mel was prompt with answering all of them. She gave excellent directions. I was concerned about the dirt road as my car is not 4x4 but there were no issues. The cabin is spacious. Mel's breakfast was simply wonderful. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for solitude away from city. We took less than 30 mins to drive from Barkerville.

  • We really enjoyed the absolute peace. Linda is a very good cook and the food was great, Vic helped us a lot with everything and sometimes he already knew what we wanted or needed. After dinner we had pleasant conversation with the two. We spent great days here. Linda and Vic are very good hosts.

  • Great stay, quiet. Beautiful lake, lodge and winter. Legend hosts, communicative, interested and interesting, plowed the drive. Delicious meals, appreciate planning that went into a perfect stay.

    Sam2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We actually didn't get to stay here because it had snowed, unexpectedly early in the season, and the road up to Vic's (not his, but the county road before you get to his) hadn't been plowed and our rental car couldn't handle it. Vic had just finished plowing his own road and generously offered to drive down to where we were (about a half-hour drive) in order to pull us up to his place. But once he got there, we all realized that our rental car wouldn't make it up even being pulled, so rather than abandon the car where we were and force Vic to drive us back down in the morning, we decided to stay at a roadside hotel. But Vic gets major kudos from us for trying to make it work -- we figure if he's that generous with his time in driving down bad roads at night to come get us, he must be a terrific host. Hope to actually stay there at some point! In the meantime, our only caveat would be to make sure that you have four-wheel drive if you plan to stay here -- or travel in the region -- any time after September and before May or June.

    Betsy2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Vic and Linda gave our family an unforgettable memory while staying in the beautiful nature. It was a bit long way to reach the place but it was worth travelling. We all left with big smile with warm heart. <3 <3 <3

  • The Tyee Lake Lodge is a perfect Cariboo retreat. The lakefront setting is stunning, with sunrise and sunset right out your private balcony. We watched fish jumping, otters swimming, and chipmunks playing, all before we had even gone out to explore! (The complimentary kyacks were a nice touch.) Breakfast was full and fresh and delicious. We found this place by accident after a hotel booking went awry, and I'm so glad it worked out that way. Vic and Linda were extremely accommodating, and wonderful people to meet. We will be back, soon and often!

    Jay2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully secluded, warm and impeccably clean place to relax from the daily grind. Linda & Vic are terrific hosts and we look forward to trying to get back to stay with them again. Going to sleep and waking up to the loons outside the window is a good as it gets!

  • The theatre is a magical place to spend a night or two. If you treat it like indoor camping (bring your own thermarest, get creative with where you set up your bed) it is an incredible and unique place to stay. Dave was kind enough to walk us through all of the equipment so that we could watch movies, play music, even host our own talent show. It lends itself to a very special experience.
