  • Dreamy! The considerations and nuance in design is stunning. Calming and inspiring. What a lovely time we had - we will be back to rent the whole kit. All the love for this stay!

  • A beautiful place to switch off and unwind! Just a short trip to Wilson’s Prom where you can enjoy surfing and hiking and then head back to the cabin for a luxurious bath in the Japanese style tub (pick up some Epsom salts from the local town) MUST stock up on local produce and wine from the Meeniyan Pantry & Cellar for the perfect night in. We will be back, thank you!

  • The cabin was everything and more we could have wanted for the weekend. The cabin is private and beautifully appointed space. It is fitted out extremely thoughtfully and tastefully for a wonderful escape to the country! The bath is super relaxing and the outlook to rolling hills spectacular! We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

  • Andrea's place is gorgeous! Super cosy and a space you will not want to leave - especially the Japanese style cypress bath! We will definitely be back!

  • The Ross Farm Cabin is an incredibly designed and constructed cabin, with stylish looks, a beautiful view and all the amenities you need and more. The Japanese style bath was a great experience, and we enjoyed sitting on the deck to eat our meals in front of a gorgeous view. Small touches like a staple food and treats on arrival (champagne might just be a new years eve touch? Haha!) were really appreciated. Andrea and her father Lindsay were fantastic hosts, and they should be proud of the tiny home they've created.

    Richard2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Andrea! The three of us had a great time

    Rosie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Rare to find a place so thoughtfully designed in rural Australia. Will be back.

  • We loved our stay at Ross Farm Cabin. The setting was incredibly tranquil, with amazing views of green fields and rolling hills in the distance from the terrace and bedroom. The cabin itself was stylish and unique, with nice touches such as beautiful linen bedding, and everything we needed for our stay, including some lovely goodies for breakfast. The farm is only a minute from the Meeniyan town, which has an excellent woodfire pizza restaurant (we got takeaway and had it on the terrace with local wine) and a few great cafes and food shops. Andrea was also the perfect host – friendly, helpful and responsive. We'd recommend Ross Farm Cabin to anyone, and hope to be back soon!

  • Kellie’s house is built in a convenient location close to Meeniyan and not far away from Wilsons prom. The house looks like a newly built house, with lavish amenities. The deck on level1 overlooking the backyard with chickens and green spaces is worth the cost. I do suggest guests to carry your own morning supplies for tea or coffee. Absolutely loved the experience. Highly recommend this place.

    Swapnil2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely house and the distance from the entrance to Wilson’s Prom is balanced by the extra creature comforts here. There is plenty of kitchen equipment for making full home cooked meals. Everyone was happy with their rooms and perfect bathrooms. In the NP go prepared to walk lots, 10 miles and wish we had done more. Don’t miss Whisky Beach, Picnic Beach, Mount Oberon and the Wildlife Walk at dusk near the Park’s entrance. We saw wombats and emus grazing as well as plenty of grey kangaroos and the occasional wallaby by the roadside. We also enjoyed the Cape Peterson to Inverloch drive with multiple stop offs.

    Susan2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Kellie's house is fresh, modern and clean. Check in was a breeze and Kellie was quick to respond, made for a very easy and relaxing stay.

  • This home is the perfect get away. It is stylish, modern and peaceful. The balcony was particularly lovely as you could sit and eat your breakfast there on a morning. The house is 40 minutes to Wilson's Prom entrance too!

  • We checked into Anne's place after a busy few days in Melbourne and a long drive. Immediately impressed with how neat and clean everything was. There was freshly baked bread, home-made jam and the most amazing cookies waiting for us in the kitchen. The apartment is small, but it has everything you could need for a comforable stay with lots of thoughful touches. The bed was the most comforatable bed I have ever slept in! I slept so well while staying at Anne's place. The garden is gorgeous, I enjoyed my morning cuppa watching the birds. I highly recommend Anne's place to anyone looking for a little slice of heaven in Leongatha :)

The place was sparkling clean, with thoughtful extras such as dog toys, things to drink in the fridge etc. Communication with Anne was very quick and contained clear instructions on how to reach the property. The private access to the garden/courtyard was the perfect place for a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. • Andrea is such a great host. We’ve received a lot of local tips prior to our trip. All information is well organized. The house is stylish and the amenities are great too. Andrea also left some eggs, bread and milk etc in the fridge and it was great help especially during Christmas season. The neighborhood is quiet and it makes it a fantastic place for observing stars. It was a wonderful experience and we’d love to stay again if in future we have the chance to travel in the area again.

  • After years travelling the world and staying in AirBnB's, Ross Farm is quite possibly one of the standouts. And a part of the world that needs to be discovered again - the wild coast, the food, the pottery, the wood fires and some of the most incredible opportunities for nature. A great base to explore from, Ross Farm also made you never wanting to leave the Barn. Cosy, and spacious. Andrea and Lindsay have designed and hand built one of the most exceptional spaces to be still in. We're coming back but reckon we're going to have to wait a while for when theres availability! Amazing.

  • We had terrific time at Jenise & Mary’s place - the hosts were super welcoming, going above and beyond to show our children the farm life which fascinated them throughout the stay. We’d like to thank Jenise&Mary once again for their hospitality.

A peaceful retreat, set on a country road, just a short walk to Koonwarra Village. There is a garden and a courtyard to the cottage and you are welcome to explore the main garden and the vegetable garden area - say hello to the alpacas and chooks.
In winter, a wood fire will be set and ready for you to light. House is fully self-contained with 2 bedrooms and all the comforts of home. As not mentioned previously, the nightly fee for children under 16 is $10. Continental breakfast is included (DIY) at your request OR full Aussie breakfast $10 extra (DIY).
Our closest neighbours are koalas, kookaburras and the cows across the road. There are country markets on weekends in the area, and fresh organic vegetables and fruit available at the local village shop. Good food and drink and artisans' workshops to explore and enjoy. Supermarket shopping is 10 minutes away.
  • Lovely place and lovely hosts! Nice place in the countryside to relax and unwind. Loved meeting and feeding the alpacas. A plump koala was in the tree when we arrived- thanks Janet for arranging that. Nice spacious place- clean, quiet, comfortable. Nice spot for a day trip to the Prom. The towns nearby offer interesting restaurants, breweries, cideries, and of course the Gippsland wine trail. Bring bikes to enjoy the Great Southern bike trail. Will come back in fall or spring and enjoy the fireplace!

  • Lovely cottage , set in a convenient location with only a half hour drive to Wilson’s prom and other great locations. Janet and Graham were so welcoming and kind. They showed us how to get around and told us about the good places to see. Would recommend this place as it is a great place to unwind and relax too, also has a kitchen with all utensils and equipment needed.

    Ushan2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the amazing place we have stayed. Jan and Graham were great host and showed us garden and lots of local tips provided. The place is great for kids and don't miss the sunset. We will be back next year.

    Suganthan2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical place Jan and Graham’s cosy cottage is. Set in the most beautiful and serene setting, overlooking lush green hills. Close to two lovely cafes and very near all the amenities of Leongatha. We drove to Wilson’s Prom one day and it was a spectacular and easy drive to get there. Loch village is also worth a stop, lovely old town with great little shops and restaurants. Jan and Graham were so accomodating, Graham made sure we had enough firewood everyday to light a fire after a cold day out and took us to see and feed the alpacas. Jan took our daughter to collect eggs and feed the chickens, such wonderful memories. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who likes to stay in a blissful setting, ultra clean, cosy cottage with everything you would need for your holiday. We will definitely go back.

    Michael2019-09-23T00:00:00Z

  • Thank you for you warm accommodating hospitality. if we get another chance in being that way, I would definitely request to stay here again.

    Joe2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, super convenient for Leongartha. Beautiful views. Great bed, great shower and tub. I would recommend letting just the kids feed the farm animals, they spit indiscriminately. You've been warned!

    Casey2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Just what we needed for our weekend stay. The cottage is in a beautiful quiet location and the house is clean, warm and cosy. Graham and Janet were great hosts and we would recommend to others.

  • Had a wonderful stay! Check-in is easy, Peter & Kathryn are friendly, welcoming and totally unobtrusive. Pelican's Rest is sparkling clean, beautifully appointed with every necessity & lots of special touches too. The open plan kitchen/dining/ living area is spacious with gorgeous views of the farm & sea + there's a sliding glass door leading to a private outdoor eating & BBQ area. A large comfy bed made for a good night's sleep, and a walk-in robe gave us heaps of storage space. Simply a great place to relax - can't recommend it highly enough!

  • Can’t recommend this place enough. Close enough to town but secluded for a peaceful stay. Amazing property with fantastic views of the ocean, countryside and amazing sunsets over the ocean. Horses, cows, chooks and veggie patch on the property were fantastic. Accommodation is new, spotless, and well thought out touches all round. Loved the farm fresh eggs, bacon, English muffins, tea, coffee and milk for our arrival. The hosts were amazing, friendly and always available when needed. Will definitely visit again.

  • Kathryn and Peter’s property is absolutely beautiful. We were stunned by the views not only of the property and animals, but out to the ocean as well. Their hospitality was exceptional, the apartment is brand new- it was spotless and felt welcoming. We were especially appreciative of the fresh eggs and breakfast ingredients left for us, as well as the nice surprise that was a telescope for stargazing- Kathryn and Peter really have thought of everything! We can’t recommend this stay enough!

Welcome to Venus Bay! Only 2 hours from the heart of Melbourne, this beach-style cottage is set in the quiet first estate of Venus Bay. Come in, relax and settle down; let the beachside lifestyle hook you in from the moment you arrive.
This two-storey home features two bedrooms downstairs, along with a sunny kitchen and dining area. With a queen bed in the master bedroom, and bunk beds (with a trundle underneath) in the second bedroom, the house comfortably sleeps 5. Upstairs you will find a large living area with ample seating and a split-system air conditioner for year-round comfort. Attached to this space is a generous balcony, the perfect place to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful views over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The covered decking area downstairs provides another dining area with a gas BBQ, as well as a dartboard and a couch. The property runs on tank water, we recommend bringing bottled water for drinking. We have a cot and a highchair available upon request.
Venus Bay is a lovely little community, and the main shops are just a short walk away from the cottage. Here you will find a general store, takeaway food, a cafe, pharmacy, surf shop and more. There are also some more shops and food options in Tarwin Lower, which is an easy 5 minute drive away. Venus Bay Beach No.3 is closest to the cottage, and is just a 10 minute walk away.
  • This house is the perfect base for small families or couples visiting Venus Bay. Inside is very clean, with plenty of chairs to relax inside. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery, microwave, coffee machine, kettle and toaster, stove and oven, also plastic bowls etc for little ones. The undercover area has bikes and seating for kids and plenty of adult seating, a bbq, dartboard and gas heater. We didn't use the washing machine or trough (handy for families) which is located with the shower, basin and toilet. Christopher was very nice and helpful before and when we checked in and replied quickly to messages and phone calls. The house itself is has nice views and the street is very quiet. A highly recommended property, I would definitely stay here again.

Our home is open to guests to enjoy at their leisure, it is comfortable and has a deck where you can sit out and enjoy the lovely views over the farmland where the cows sometimes come over to graze. It is a 15-20 min walk to the beach and if you are going to Wilsons Prom it is about a 35min drive to the entrance. It is about a 50 min drive to Philip Island where the motorbike grand prix is held along with other races over the year. Wild life can often be viewed around Venus Bay in the evenings.
The bedroom is a good size and has a wide screen television to enjoy. There is a separate area where guests can go to have a game of pool or to watch television over a cuppa, also a continental breakfast is served in the mornings to start you on your day. Access to the internet is also available.

  • Staying at The Wine Farm is a real treat. It is set in a quiet, picturesque area of Koonwarra. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and has a well-equipped kitchen and laundry. The cellar door is a short walk from the cottage, which is ideal for wine tasting (and purchasing!). The cottage is dog-friendly and my hounds have enjoyed walking around the property is lovely. We’ve seen lots of birds, and even a couple of koalas! The location of The Wine Farm is ideal for exploring South Gippsland. The town of Koonwarra has some lovely shops, or Leongatha and Inverloch are a short drive away. It’s about an hour’s drive to Phillip Island or Wilson’s Promontory. There are many wineries to explore nearby, but I have especially enjoyed hearing Anna and Neil’s story and learning about their vineyard and wines. I’ve stayed at The Wine Farm twice now, and each stay was wonderful. I highly recommend it!

Wilson's prom is not to far and great coffee shops and restaurants in the local town as recommended by Brian himself. For anyone who gets stuck for something to eat late at night on a Friday or Saturday like ourselves, the McDonalds in Leongatha is open 24hr.

  • This cottage on the farm was the perfect place to stay the long weekend. The house and grounds are a picture-perfect, peaceful farm setting, complete with views of the surrounding countryside of rolling hills (the photos really don’t do it justice). Our little one enjoyed chasing chickens and feeding the cows. Despite all the news about fires in Gippsland, this area hasn’t been touched and is still green and lush. Flowers were still blooming. There are several excellent local cafes nearby that we enjoyed, and we took easy day trips down to Wilson’s Prom each day. We’ll definitely stay here again if in the area. Thanks Lyn for a wonderful weekend!

    Ben2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hospitality. Lyn and Dave's cottage has all you need and more. Ideal location for day trips to the Wilson's prom, Great Southern rail trail or Bass coast. Lyn's local knowledge of great cafe's and restaurants was more than welcomed by us. We loved the chooks fresh eggs and absolute peace and quiet. And lovely surprise visit from a Koala, Rosella's and other native birds.

    Shan2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lyn is a fantastic host and the cottage is a great place to stay. Thoughtful touches, spacious areas and quality amenities made our stay fabulous. A great location means short drives to so many interesting places around South Gippsland. We'll definitely be back.

    Kate2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lyn & Dave were super friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived we got given a tour of the place and they made sure all our questions were answered. Very well equipped, clean, spacious, private cottage. We had the pleasure of meeting a little dog Holly, who enjoyed pats, chickens were a very curious bunch and the cows were gentle slobbery giants who enjoyed some apples. Beautiful peaceful views of the landscape. Saw lots of native birds, a wallaby and an echidna during our stay. Great location within 10min driving distance to local towns and supermarket. We did day trips to Coal Creek, Wilsons Prom and lucky to have visited the monthly farmers market. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to escape the city life or wanting to experience Australia. Will definitely be back one day to relax. Thank you both kindly.

    Stefani2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely breath taking property. Quiet, tranquil and so relaxing. Would recommend to anyone. Lyn and Dave were lovely, super helpful and friendly. Also needed early check in and Lyn was really accomodating to ensure this happened for us.

Would have loved to have more time to get a glimpse of the farming life and exploring of the area. The sunrise was absolutely amazing, along with the best homemade granola I have ever had. • Awesome stay in spectacular location. It is about 45 minutes to Tidal River parking at Prom I loved the view on Wilson’s Prom. from the living room. From my room I had a wonderful view to the green hills with all black and white cows. I had my private bathroom and toilet. Joanne provides everything I myself couldn’t have thought of, like shampoo & conditioner, bathing salt, hairdryer, etc and all top quality from small manufacturers and organic. Breakfast was amazing. Lots of fresh fruit, homemade granola, local produce jams, organic yoghurt, wonderful bread from local bakery. Even I who likes a nice quality breakfast as start of the day was super happy 😊. The day I arrived there was nobody and I struggled a bit what to do, where to go, but I am an experienced traveler, so made the best out of it 😬. Later Joanne invited me to share dinner with her and Noel. I also got some nice wine which was great. I would love to come back and stay for at least 2 weeks.

  • Vincenza is a really sweet host. I booked it on the day & was driving from north eastern Melbourne, got stuck in traffic & had to reach there late evening. She made sure the house was clean as speck and I had no problem checking in even around 8pm. Nestled in a corner, the accommodation looked great and comfy to accommodate three people. Woke up to a brilliant view of mountains & greenery. An hour’s drive to the Prom from the place but great lookouts on the way so worth every penny staying here. She made sure I had a pleasant check out with nothing to worry about. There’s also a cafe next to the accommodation. Wanted to try the oysters that were on special but couldn’t spend a lot of time in the house. Making sure I stay here next time I visit Wilsons Prom. Worth the $$&

A nice surprise in a crazy drought. I highly recommend !

  • It was a wonderful experience. The Place is far beyond expectations. Just pure magic! Very stylish and high quality equipment ready to use. Hosts took care of every small details to make your Time in their place UNFORGETTABLE. When you arrive at the property you are amazed by the lovely green space, lots of trees ant your wonderful place to stay. When you open the door you are amazed by the magnificent view , that you can also enjoy straight from your bed. Makes it very easy for people who love watching the sunset, stars or the beautiful Sunrise – just in front of you. We are Airbnb photographers, and we photographed more than 1200 properties for Airbnb and this place is one of the best that we’ve ever seen! Hosts are so wonderful and caring – they make you feel at home. We had to cut our trip short due to personal reasons in which case they were extremely understanding. The space is decked out with everything you need -- water, champagne, water filter, tea coffee and toiletries etc. We recommend this place to anyone as is just Pure Magic with beautiful a style, atmosphere and stunning views!

Experience the peace and tranquility of country life. Koonwarra Cottage 2 & Koonwarra Cottage 1 ( listed separately )are set amongst six acres of spectacular gums and native gardens, an ideal retreat for those seeking relaxation and a little piece of the country atmosphere. Also a great base from which to explore beautiful Wilsons Promontory National Park.
Koonwarra Cottage 2 is located just off the Sth Gippsland Highway adjoining Koonwarra village. The country style cottage is a charming self contained two bedroom cottage, where guests can unwind with a relaxing spa , wood fire for those colder months and air conditioned for the hotter months.
Koonwarra is a small village located in the South Gippsland farming area. The area is peaceful and has that small village atmosphere. Brett and I have lived in Koonwarra for more than 20 years, and raised our two children on the property. We find the relaxed atmosphere a great way to live and enjoy life. Spending a lot of time in our gardens and meeting new people gives us great pleasure. We are located just off the South Gippsland Highway, adjoining Koonwarra Village, which has two fine food and wine cafe restaurants, art and craft galleries, local fresh produce farmers' markets (held on the 1st Saturday of each month). Koonwarra Village also features The Great Southern Rail Trail, a 66km walking, cycling and horse riding trail, that travels from Leongatha to Port Welshpool with spectacular scenery and beautiful country villages to explore along the trail.
  • If you looking for peace and quiet, beautiful gardens and great hosts. This is the place to go!

One of the last original sized miners cottages of historic Korumburra. Our private cosy country hideaway sleeps 3 guests. Relax and recharge surrounded by lovingly handpicked antiques & country collectibles. Walking distance to Coal Creek, IGA, and all the local hot food and coffee spots. The cottage is privately tucked away on its own big block surrounded by established native trees.
Princes Cottage Korumburra is nestled quietly behind big hedges. Take a stroll up the brick path and up the steps to the little deck thats sits at the front of the cottage. Once inside, you will be greeted by a freshly renovated hundred year old cottage. To the right sits the main bright and airy bedroom with a double bed. There are also two beautiful cane armchairs to sit and read in. The room also has an antique desk for any last minute laptop action before you kick back and relax! To your left is the second bedroom/lounge room. With two cosy wingback armchairs and a single daybed. There is a TV in this room if you want to watch something and unwind. Continuing on to the country kitchen you will find a shabby chic four seat kitchen table with Brentwood chairs, antique benches and a small study desk. We have cups, bowls, glasses, wine and champagne glasses, baking trays and cutlery. Store any cool items in our brand new mint green retro fridge and enjoy toast & tea courtesy of the vintage inspired appliances! The reverse cycle air conditioner in the kitchen keeps the cottage cool in summer and cosy warm in winter. In the modern bathroom you will find a clean and spacious space with a glass shower and custom wood shelf. Head out through the french door from the kitchen out to the back seating area and lounge in the two seater cane armchair or rocking chair. Flick on the festoon lights for a bump in romantic ambience! The yard is large and private with baby olive trees and a multitude of succulents slowly growing in pots and alongside the house. Our stunning entryway iceberg roses put on their best show in spring and into summer! If you want a little more quiet space to sip a cup of tea, there is a cute little garden chairs and table setting up by the gorgeous garden shed. On street parking is fine, but if you prefer private parking please enter the parking at the rear of the property.
Put simply, Korumburra is a calm and relaxing country town. The shops and shop owners are local, the supermarket is a simple IGA, and you will not find a large chain restaurant in sight. The neighborhood is safe and secure, and don't be surprised if you get a "good morning" or a "hello" everywhere you go! The houses are a mixture of traditional Victorian, modern new estates and brick homes. Take a walk down Radovick to see some examples of stunning coal mine era cottages and houses! The local IGA is a ten minute stroll away if you need any necessities (like tim tams!). In Korumburra's main drag you will find ATM's, a boutique clothing and homewares shop, 5 cafes, 4 opp shops, a handmade pastry and cake shop, 2 bakeries, Bendigo and Commonwealth Bank, the Burra Brewery for woodfire pizza and craft beer. We also have Indian, Chinese and quality Fish and Chips. Take a walk through the botanic gardens and laps around the showgrounds. Sport takes pride of place in our community so catch a game of local footy or soccer at the two sports ovals of a weekend if that's your thing! Coal Creek is a must for a couple of hours to understand the roots of Korumburra. You will be blown away by the preservation of the mining community - best of all its FREE! Dont miss a visit to the old Korumburra Train Station. Although no longer in operation you will find amazing photo opportunities and a gorgeous example of the old architecture that shaped the early years of the town. If beaches are more your pace, Inverloch is a 20 minute drive with gorgeous pristine coastline and surf beaches. In Leongatha a 10 minute drive away, find even more food options, opp shops and an Aldi and Safeway and quality butchers. We are surrounded by wineries too, so if you want a bottle of vino from East Gippsland to take home you are spoilt for choice. Prom Country Cheese is another pearl of a venue to visit (plus they sell wine and do tastings #winwin) For another cute local township experience, Loch is well worth a stop. With amazing cafes and new restaurants opening up. Here you will find a tiny township that oozes country charm. If you are up for a bit more of a roadtrip, Venus Bay, Tarwin River and Wilson's Prom are easily accessible. In Meeniyan you will discover a beautiful French bakery with delicious baguettes and scrumptious wood fire pizza at Trulli Italian restaurant. We are surrounded by stunning drives into rolling green dairy farms and hills, drive through Outtrim to Inverloch at sunset for INCREDIBLE views of the rolling green hills and still dams!

My family home is amidst the beautiful countryside of Foster. It's a short drive to beaches and only 30km from the entrance to Wilson's Promontory National Park. We provide comfort in an accredited sustainable home with contemporary architecture on land used to grow seasonal produce. Choose from two spacious queen rooms, with bathroom and laundry on the lower floor of the house (privately accessible.) My welcoming parents, Kathy and Greg, will have all the local info you need for a great stay.
House is only 5 years old and the downstairs self contained apartment style area has 2 queen bedrooms. The space is bright, clean and spacious with views over garden to treed creek area. Private bathroom with separate bath and shower. Spacious laundry and kitchenette. Large living room with couches, coffee table and library.
Our property is only 10 kms from Foster and about 15 mins to Wilsons Prom National Park. There are great views across Corner inlet and behind us is the Hoddle range and Mount Nicoll. The hectare property is a work in progress as a food forest.
  • If you’re looking for a quite getaway then this property is perfect. About an hours drive away from the Wilsons Prom national park. Not too far from the local market too. A value for your money and a very big thank you to the amazing hosts! :)

  • I didn't get a chance to meet Greg but Cathy was there to help us with check in. She gave some useful information and suggestions. The Location is ideal to plan your visit to Wilson Prom. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it.

  • Clare's place was a tranquil stay for us. Greg was also an informative and great host. Would definitely stay there again!

    Jason2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely property with ideal access into Wilson’s prom. The place is kept in perfect condition and comes with some essential items to kick start the day. There is also lots of info on the park which was great to use as a reference. Foster is also only a short drive away, with some nice restaurants on offer.

    Matt2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Greg and his wife were very warm and friendly hosts! Everything about Clare's place is exactly as listed, with some much appreciated extras like maps of the local area especially Wilsons Prom, breakfasts, and toiletries. The place was huge and would have been super spacious even for a party of 4-6 (there were only 2 of us). Shops and sights are in very short driving distance, and the house is situated on a property with lovely flora & fauna (loved waking up to the sound of crickets & birds!). Even in rainy weather, the area is beautiful and the dryer saved us from having to trek in wet clothes the next day. What really did catch my fancy was their library of books, which held a very vast spread of all topics and would be especially appreciated by those interested in psychology, social services, etc.! Would definitely pick Clare's place again when we return to Wilsons Prom!

Nestled amongst coastal bush, and looking onto rolling pastures, this modern cottage is a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beaches of Waratah Bay and Walkerville, and a 10 minute drive to the cute town of Fish Creek. This is a perfect location to enjoy the beaches, and water sports along the coastline, walking and hiking on the numerous trails and tracks, as well as great riding and cycling, food and produce.
We want you to enjoy your stay and all the things we love about this area of South Gippsland! Starting with the view, the living room of the cottage has timber floors and large windows which look out onto the neighbouring paddocks and hills. Bedroom one has a queen bed and built in robes. Bedroom two has a single over double bunk, and built in robes. Both bedrooms have timber floors and are filled with natural light, and have all bedlinen, doonas, pillows and throws. The kitchen is compact, with a coffee machine, microwave, appliances and plenty of crockery and glassware. There's an electric stovetop and oven and all you'll need to cook up a storm! Whilst there's no dishwasher at the moment, it is a very easy kitchen to use. One of the features of the house is being able to relax back on the sofa and take in the stunning view. In winter you'll enjoy being by the wood fire heater; it really is a year-round house. Wifi is available, along with a collection of books, games and music to enjoy. The house has been designed to capture the natural airflow in summer, however there are two portable fans if further cooling is needed. The bathroom has a shower over a full size bath, a washing machine, and towels, soap, handcream and laundry detergent are included. The deck is a beautifully relaxing place to take in the view, the birdlife and natural bushland. For the warmer days there's a remote controlled shade, and there's a table and chairs and BBQ for relaxed dining. Best of all, the cottage is private, and a lovely get away.
The Walkerville beaches are lovely and only ten minutes drive from the Cottage. South Walkerville has historic lime kilns whilst North Walkerville has rock pools and a small kiosk. At low tide you can walk from one beach to the other. South Walkerville is also featured in the children's book "Magic Beach"; we put a copy in the toy basket. Across the road from the Cottage is a coastal walking track that leads to Waratah Bay, and takes approximately 1.5 hours return. It has amazing views of the beach on the way down. Other things to see and do further afield are The Prom, Agnes Falls, Gurney's Cidery in Foster, Fish Creek Pub (with the fish on the roof) and there are some nice wineries near Foster and Fish Creek.
  • We were sincely suprised because it was better than expected. If you want to have a quiet place in the middle nature this is it! It was spotless, stylish, cosy with super confortable bedding, and the best view of the beautiful guippsland fields and nature! We highly recommend it.

    Chloe2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Recommended highly, great spot to kick back and relax, on the door step of all the attractions which goes with visiting the Prom. Don't hesitate to book Lisa's place.

    rick2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible location. If you want to get away from the day to day hustle and bustle then this is the place! So peaceful. The house overlooks the paddocks with no neighbours in site. Highly recommend sitting down by the fence to view the dam and wind farm with a beer or wine to relax.

    Shane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded little place, with everything my partner and I needed. Would definitely stay there again.
