This vacation rental is just 26 miles away from the entrance of Yosemite National Park. We are inside the gate of Pine Mountain Lake. Within 1 mile to either the main lake where you can rent kayaks, paddle boarding, paddle boats and other items or Dunn court marina. There is a snack shack at the main marina. We are right around the corner of the golf course. There is usually a live band or DJ at the golf club, where you can dine and participate in adult beverages. There is an equestrian center, community pool, pickle ball and tennis available.
  • Lovely home ! My family had such a wonderful stay . There was everything we needed there for us to use in the kitchen . I had forgotten some utensils and she had what I needed there to cook . Communication was awsome and she answered each question right away. I referred some friends to rent there because they loved my videos of the place.

  • When you walk into this Airbnb, a feeling of calmness comes over you. The decorations all over the house give the place a personal touch. The showers turn hot faster than my own place. The beds are very comfy and there are plenty of additional blankets to stay warm. We stayed at this spot because we wanted to be near Yosemite while keeping the lodging affordable.

  • Great place to stay for the weekend or even longer. Perfect balance between having all modern amenities but still feeling disconnected from the world.

Enjoy a comfortable, eco-friendly trailer camping experience just 30 min outside Yosemite. The Chick Inn trailer has all the basic amenities to provide an outdoorsy experience without sleeping on the ground. The "Loo with a View" lets you bathe in the treetops, while the trailer provides basic cooking and comfy sleeping options (new mattress!) for ultimate convenience. All in the mountain with miles of trails and rivers to explore nearby. Stay here and avoid the fees of Pine Mountain Lake.
The quaint vintage trailer provides a small double bed (new, actual mattress and memory foam topper), table, stove top, sink, and a "pee-only" toilet. The bathroom in the trailer is pretty small. If you have problems getting up from the toilet without support this probably isn't the best situation for you. There is a fan for hot days and heater and blankets for cold nights. During the winter months the trailer can be quite chilly; it's a large metal box. If you get cold easily bring extra warm clothes. Also if it's forecasted to be freezing at night we will not be able to host you since all water will have to be turned off. This is not an 'RV' but a small (16ft) vintage trailer. It provides all the basic amenities but not indoor space for stretching out. The "Loo with a View" is an outdoor shower and composting toilet (poo only) for all your cleaning needs. Patio and reclining chairs for your relaxation needs after a long day of hiking/exploring Yosemite. This eco-friendly trailer setup is powered by solar panels and recycles all shower and sink water through a greywater system (landscape irrigation). Non-toxic cleaning products are used for all cleaning and laundry purposes. We like to keep this space hypoallergenic and fragrance-free so please leave your perfume and fragrances in the car. And absolutely no pets for this reason as well.
Quiet neighborhood only 1 mile from town, but not ideal to walk to. Neighbors enjoy the serenity of the mountains so please be respectful.
  • Loved this spot so much. So many great little touches. Overall a very memorable experience.

    Andrew2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I loved it there. Probably not for you if you want all mod cons but if you like simplicity in a great location this is hard to beat!

    Bobby2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • A “total California experience” for us as we visited Yosemite. The camper is small but super clean, and the bed is comfortable. The outdoor shower is amazing. About 25 miles to the gate at Yosemite, and 50 miles to the valley. Aimee is a wonderful host.

    Jeremy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Chick Inn. It was our first experience in an RV. Everything was cozy about the interior. Loo & shower with a view was just perfect! Very innovative. Loved our stay.

    Ayanita2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The trailer is pretty magical - everything you might need is tucked into its own spot, and the shower and composting toilet are awesome! Really fun to explore Groveland, too.

    Elinor2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee's place was fun, interesting and extremely clean. She and her family are incredibly kind, helpful and shared great places to explore nearby, their dog was very sweet too. There is a market and places to eat within a short drive. This is a convenient place to stay if taking day trips to Yosemite or the Hetch Hetchy. The outdoor shower is amazing with a beautiful view. Definitely recommend!

    Gareth2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it, everything went smoothly during our stay. The shower and bathroom with a view was definitely the highlight, super convenient how the lights at night to the bathroom lit up. I’d come back and recommend this place to anyone.

BEDROOM PHOTOS COMING 3/6/20 This charming, eclectic, Shabby Chic cottage is just 26 miles from Yosemite National Park and walking distance to the darling, historic town of Groveland, CA. The cozy bedrooms and living space make it a perfect stay for a family of 4. Fully furnished and set up with the kitchen basics you'll need to prepare meals along with quite a few essential items to give you a great start. Just bring food!
The cottage itself is quite old and in need of attention, but I have lived in the cottage since buying the property in the summer of 2018 and beginning my hipcamp listing. I have a real love for beautiful and comfortable spaces and have created that with mostly repurposed items. The bed linens and towels are new and yummy, though! My rental listing proceeds are currently going toward paying for the land and will eventually go to remodel the 1950 built cottage. I would love to have guests return year after year to see the progress! The property is also listed on Hipcamp, so you will enjoy meeting others traveling to Yosemite. The decor is very comfy and a lovely collections of repurposed furnishings, dishes and art. All of the bedding is new and from the Shabby Chic line sold by various retailers. Heating is all electric and there are some quirks about which heater to turn off when it's time to make your coffee. (which is whole bean, French Roast, btw.) I provide coffee, tea, popcorn, cooking essentials like olive oil, flour, spices, herbs, butter, pancake mix, oatmeal, dried fruit and brown/raw sugar. Just bring your food! You will have plenty of storage containers for the fridge and ziplock bags to take your left overs with you. The washer and dryer work perfectly and you are welcome to wash any personal items needed during your stay. We will take care of all of the laundry after your stay, though.
Groveland, CA was established in 1849 during the Gold Rush and has historic appeal. My property is named Ferretti Farm in honor of my great, great grandparents, Giuseppe and Marie Ferretti who were pioneers who settled here. There is actually a historic landmark in the town of Moccasin (at the bottom of Priest Grade) that is a shrine that was built for Giuseppe by another early settler who was his neighbor. Guess he was a pretty sweet guy! There are so many wonderful things to do in Groveland! It's about a 3-5 minute walk to the back parking lot of The Groveland Hotel where they have live music and small bites during the summer months, as well as a beautiful Bourbon Bar and lovely beers and wines and quick bites in Provisions. The Hotel Charlotte also offers a wonderful dining experience in the summer with outstanding mixology from one of the most creative mixologists we've encountered. Mountain Sage Coffee/Cafe and Nursery is also a quick walk away for tasty coffee drinks and sweet or savory bites. We must not forget the Historic Iron Door Saloon! This is the oldest saloon this side of the Mississippi!!! There are Movies in the Park put on by the Groveland Community Services District during the summer months that you may get to catch and a bus stop for the Yosemite Area Rapid Transit Service so you can avoid adding to the congestion in the park.

Whether its boating, fishing, swimming, golf, gambling, YNP or just plain relaxing, the area offers something for all. We hope to see you during your next trip to "Gold Country".
The cabin is at an elevation of 3300' and surrounded by pine trees. There are other houses/cabins in the area. The town of Groveland is 1.2 miles from the cabin.
  • Host was kind enough to meet us at the house as we had arrived after sunset. Even told us that the drive from the Bay is expected to be longer due to traffic jams. House is perfect for 2adults & 3kids. Big kid was happy on the sofa bed. Heating, hot water, kitchen, cable tv all top notch! Expect a lengthy 1-1.5hr drive into Yosemite Valley and sights. We enjoyed the accommodation very much!

  • Really clean, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared for guests. Cozy inside with comfortable beds, full separate dining room and living-kitchen combo. Great setting for cooking your own meals either inside or grilling outside on the lovely back deck surrounded by pines. There’s a well stocked grocery and meat market in town. Enjoy!

  • Highly recommend this gem! The cabin was perfect sized and very cozy, with lots of nice details. David was very responsive and the location was perfect for visiting Yosemite during the day. This was a wonderful experience!

    Andrea2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Dave's cabin was even better than we expected. Attention to detail was obvious for the comfort and ease of guests. Exceptionally clean. Communication was outstanding and he kept us informed about wildfires and outages in state even days before our stay. I would not change a thing about the home it was so relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplace and grilling the best. Beds were comfortable too.

    Julia2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • David's accommodation is perfect: impeccable cleanliness, perfect location if you want to go to Yosemite park, idyllic ... Nothing to say. Thank you David!

    Vanessa2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We did not see David because we arrived a little late but he gave us all the directions to find the place and return. The cabin is very well equipped, quiet and an hour drive from the entrance to Yosemite Park. David has thought of everything: cozy bed, sponge towels, well equipped kitchen, fresh water bottles, board game, movies .. The cabin is very close to Groveland where you have to go for a beer or eat a burger at " Iron room saloon ", the oldest saloon in California.

    Jennifer2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • David was an amazing host and cabin far exceeded our expectations. Great location, amenities, and comforts. Would highly recommend.

    Nichole2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • David's cabin is a good place to stay, it is close to Yosimitie Park and the town has its own charm. With reference to the house, it is impeccable and very organized.

  • I didn't end up being able to stay due to the friend I was traveling with getting very sick and us having to turn around but I let him know and he gave me a refund and was incredibly understanding about the situation.

  • We arrived late at night. The host was very responsive. Place is easy to find. We recommend this place to anyone who likes more privacy and a bit of wilderness.

  • Really warm and welcoming bunch that hosts the site! It was perfect for a last minute camping trip, the site has porta potties with a little porta sink too. There are a number of camp plots there so it felt very much like any other campground. It was perfect and mellow. Also Groveland is a great place, everyone we encountered there was especially warm and friendly. Be sure to bring your own water and food supplies too, there's a very convenient market down the road.

  • Stayed at Steven's place for one night before going to Yosemite. Really good place for camping. Clean, comfortable. Didn't meet Steven, but his uncle was a great host. definitely stay here again on my way to Yosemite

  • Had a little trouble finding the place at first in the dark, but once I did i found my spot looking exactly as it did in the pictures. Relatively close to Yosemite National Park. Also very close to a small town. There was a restaurant called Ellies I highly recommend. The camping area was a little dusty, but hey its camping! I highly recommend staying here

  • If you'd like to camp on secluded place close to Yosemite and don't worry about comfort, this place is exactly for you. Or it was exactly for us. We found this place by a chance on the 4th of July (we are from Europe, so we didn't realized how crowded local camps could be). If you feel comfortable to stay on secluded place without shower and even running water, this place is ideal for you. And the stargazing there was absolutely amazing. Steven was very nice guy and he joined us for our little party. So definitely recommended. Thanks Steve.

The Deer Flat Ranch is nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills just outside the small town of Groveland, Ca., gateway to Yosemite National Park. The Yerba Santa Room is tucked under the main residence with its' own private entrance and overlooks the herb garden and Duckwall Mountain. Yerba Santa, meaning Holy and Sacred herb, is abundant in the Sierra foothills. Miners used it for gastrointestinal issues and Native Americans utilized it for its medicinal and spiritual properties.
The Yerba Santa room sits across from the horse pasture on our ten acre ranch. The Deer Flat Ranch is at the end of a one half mile quiet country road yet is only two miles from Groveland and thirty minutes from the Yosemite Park entrance gate.
Deer Flat Ranch is bordered on all sides by other ranches.
  • Ellie's place is very clean and cozy... just what you want to return to after a long hike. Even though our stay was very short, we really look forward to coming again!

    Elizabeth2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Charming little ranch with easy-to-find navigation (plenty of signs) and sweet animals onsite. Would book again!

  • Ellie and Patricia are so warm and friendly. They invited us to drink coffee with them and we had a great communication. The room is very comfortable and warm, 1 hour to Yosemite. They also prepared food for guests to eat. SO considerate. I also saw deers on my way to Ellie's house, that's a great experience.

    Yoyo2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable place in a beautiful setting. Convenient to Yosemite NP and close to local restaurants. Highly recommend a stay at Ellie and Patricia's!

  • Staying here was exactly as stated. The room was perfectly clean, the property is charming, the animals are friendly, and the hosts are welcoming and delightful. The location is great if your aim is to explore Yosemite, and there are a few great spots to eat in town. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

  • Ellie is really sweet and welcoming and her place is lovely! Best spot to get to Yosemite park early in the morning and avoid traffic, also Groveland is a lovely small town with great local food options!

  • It's near the gate of Yosemite National Park. We had an enjoyable two night stay as a stopover. It should be noted that the gravel road leading to the home is a little long and the gravel is a little thick. So, the automotive chassis is easy to be scraped.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Groveland! Ellie was a perfect host with a perfect room for our stay. We had nice chats and we got a lot of information about the area and dining. Two guys pizza was the best :-) Be aware that you Need an Hour Ride to the Yosemite valley. Thank you very much! Lisa&Jens

    Jeff2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 6 had a nice stay here for NYE. We wanted a peaceful time near the mountains and that's what we got. The place is up a dirt road that can be difficult to find, especially in the dark. However, the house is up on a hill and far enough away from the main road and other neighbors, so we were fairly secluded. One thing to note is the water from the tap smells strongly of sulfur. We figured out that only the hot water, not the cold, produced this smell. One person decided to take a bath using the hot water and the whole place smelled for about an hour. It really bothered me but was ok with others in our group. It was similar to being in a hot spring. This might be the case for all surrounding homes and I'm just an ignorant city boy! The host left lots of bottled water in the fridge and the place was very clean and comfortable. We had a really nice time here and I would definitely stay again.

This ten acre ranch is at the end of a private road. Inside our barn is a beautiful, fully furnished bungalow. Sit outside and enjoy the views of Duckwall Mt., oak trees and horses. Two miles to Groveland and 30 minutes to Yosemite National Park
The Haybale Bungalow occupies half of our barn and includes a well equipped kitchen, a queen size bed and relaxing leather chairs to curl up with a good book or watch a movie. Enjoy the Sierra view while dining on the outdoor patio table. A gas BBQ is provided.
The Deer Flat Ranch is next to a 160 acre horse ranch on one side and smaller ranches on the other borders. There are commanding views of Duckwall Mountain and heritage oaks. Deer Creek Rd. is a one-half mile private road and a lovely morning walk .

  • The ranch is a perfect getaway near Yosemite (30 minutes to one of the gates). The landscape is calm and beautiful. The inside space is confortable and practical. We cooked every meal (kitchen super well equiped). The mattres is soo nesty, we love it! And the neighbors... two sociable horses. We spent a great time at the Ranch. Ellie and Patricia were sweet and always available for any request. At the same time, the space is super private. We miss it!

  • Wonderfully quaint and unique studio with everything you need to cook dinner or just relax. Ellie and Patricia provided snacks and coffee/tea which was unexpected and greatly appreciated. We loved meeting the resident animals, and the hosts even left us carrots to feed the horses. The apartment is a bit of a ways off the main road, but is tucked in nicely in the woods and very quiet. Took about 1.5 hours to drive to Yosemite valley which was perfect for us. Very well decorated and appointed, we were very comfortable and enjoyed this rustic studio.

Our rustic cabin is located on a large, private cattle ranch and captures the Western spirit and style of the Gold Country. Although the cabin feels remote, it is closely situated to Groveland (5 miles) and Yosemite National Park (first gate 28 miles; 40+ minute drive dependent upon traffic). One can hike and explore the ranch for miles in all directions. It is a charming, picturesque, romantic, and tranquil space for couples to unwind from life's daily stresses and great outdoor adventures.
The cabin was once a hunting and mining cabin and was relocated next to an old sluiceway utilized for gold mining. The small cabin measures approximately 330 sq. ft. and includes a new bathroom and well-supplied kitchen (i.e., kitchenware). It has a spacious wrap-around front porch and side deck. A rustic, Western-style outdoor kitchen for barbecues is located behind the cabin. Situated on the deck are six chairs and a table with two umbrellas for outdoor dining, as well as a Weber gas grill.
The cabin is surrounded by miles and miles of nature and you are welcome to hike anywhere on the ranch. To reach the nearest town, please drive to Groveland (turn left onto Hwy 120 from Wards Ferry) or the Miner's Mart gas station and small convenience store (turn right onto Hwy 120 from Wards Ferry).
  • When we initially saw the post we we like, Ok this could be interesting, its close to Yosemite which was our reason for traveling to the area and it looked like a unique place to stay. The listing did not do this lovely cabin justice, we absolutely loved our stay. My wife and I travel extensively and The Cabin is in our top five. It sits on a working cattle ranch with a beautiful landscape. You feel like you are transported back to the old west with all of the modern amenities you would expect from a 5 star resort. The space is immaculate and nicely appointed with great attention to detail. Everything is designed to enhance the experience. Clean fresh linens, very comfortable bed, great kitchen and the space is very cozy and perfect for a couple looking for a romantic setting. Natalie and the caretakers at the property were wonderful to deal with and we had no problems what so ever. Looking forward to visiting again in the near future..

  • Absolutely the most unique and well equipped AirBnb I've stayed at. The thought and love that went into The Homestead is obvious upon arrival. It is such a welcome surprise for expectations to be exceeded, which is the case at Natalie's.

    Matthew2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie’s place is an isolated getaway, we really enjoyed the location. She was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

    Pepi2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Small cabin but amazing amenities! Natalie was wonderful! My 2 year old loved feeding the horses and all the other wildlife on the property. Such a cozy cabin with amazing sunsets!

    Jenna2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, rustic cabin with all the modern amenities. We had a wonderful time with the friendly horses, and stayed nice and cozy during a rain storm one night. Close to Groveland that has some good food options, and a short drive over to Yosemite. We will absolutely come back here.

On demand water heater meant we could all take showers without losing hot water. Impressive touches like original art, lots of towels & pillows. My favorite place in the Groveland area so far!

Well stocked with towels , linens, and plates, silverware, etc. Communication with the host was very effective and quick. Nice touch to come and find a Christmas tree light up! Overall, my family and I highly recommend Courtney’s place.

This renovated historic cottage has a large outdoor dining deck on Groveland Creek, a stroll away from downtown. You are literally a walking distance away from everything Groveland has too offer. Within a few blocks you can find, restaurants, bar, coffee shop, gallerie, library, store, postal office, meat market, play ground and all this only 25miles from Yosemite. Across a footbridge is Mountain Sage cafe, gallery and gardens where you can enjoy an outdoor concert/workshop and meet locals.
If you are a history buff, you are in the right home. The house was built by my grandfather by his own hands for my grandmother in 1938. It's wooden interior was warmed by many guests over the years, with most the time spent lounging on the grape laden patio over the creek. Fruit trees and gardens adorn the property, as well as specialty items like down comforters, fresh coffee, and other touches to welcome the Yosemite traveler. Robb Hirsch original fine photography of the area graces the contemporary nature based-interior, making the home a quaint spot for a family or friends to take in a getaway in the Yosemite gateway. High speed wireless makes getting work done on the patio a snap, or watching that favorite movie after a snowshoe in the park. Full kitchen amenities are ready for a gathering of six with a lots of storage to put it all away for your stay. Yosemite maps and tips of our favorite off the beaten path places are at your fingertips.
One of the few houses in downtown Groveland that has access to walking paths and gardens along Groveland Creek. It is next door to Mountain Sage, with two acres of gardens surrounding the cottage, as well as just down the block from some of the best restaurants in town. The cottage is within one mile of Pine Mountain Lake, approximately 22 miles to Yosemite National Park & 15 minutes to Lake Don Pedro. Our favorite forest service lands with mountain biking and hiking trails are just minutes away.
  • This rustic cabin is right in town, close to Yosemite, and has very comfy beds! Mountain Sage Coffee a few doors down was a great amenity as well. Some reviewers complained of the street noise, but we didn't find it to be bothersome. Our child even slept in the front room, which was supposedly the loudest according to some reviews.

    Claire2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • A great mountain cabin for a short stay near Yosemite. We had a nice toasty family stay for New Year's to usher in 2020. Groveland was a cute village for our stay. The home was comfy. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

    Michael2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you want to get to know Groveland! You can walk to anyplace you need to go. The beds were comfortable and the living area was pleasant! It was fun to have a view of Groveland from the dining room window. Mountain Sage Coffee next door was a pleasant surprise and we visited most days we were there.

    Cindy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cottage is a delightful place to stay. It's five minutes' walk from the center of Groveland, but you might want to just get supplies and sit on the sweet grapevine-covered deck and enjoy the relaxing scenery! We saw the stars come twinkling out at night, and slept soundly in our comfy beds. I especially enjoyed the link to Groveland's history courtesy of the owner's grandparents, an early family in the town. We didn't notice the occasional traffic on the road after a while, but there's a white noise machine if you are sleeping in the front bedroom. Also, ignore Google Maps, which will try to send you up the hill. This cottage is right on the main street!

    Vicky2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage home in convenient location for Yosemite travelers. Our stay was short but sweet. The whole experience from check-in to exit was simple and stress free.

    Robin2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming and cozy house, would recommend for a stay.

    Calvin2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a perfect stop before Yosemite. We were able to check in early and get advice from host of where to hike. It is about a half hour to the entrance and another half hour into the Valley. I’d suggest to check out the Meadows too for hikes. We drove that way but ran out of time for hiking. There’s a small glacial pool called “rainbow pool” only 15 min from the air bnb. Groveland is a small town but there were plenty of options for eating. The space was cozy and the fresh coffee was great! Beds were comfortable and lots of towels!

  • Was well worth it. Close proximity to Yosemite. Well worth it over the other campgrounds around, Stevens uncle kenny was there, cracked me a bud, and helped me set up my tent. Absolute legend, what service. Groveland is such a beautiful little town too, recommend fa sho!

  • We got a little lost on the way, but Steven's uncle was there to greet us when we pulled in. He was very helpful with directing us to our campsite and answered all our questions. The site was very accurately described in the listing. Although fires aren't allowed, our site had a grill provided. The site is about 1-1.5 hours drive from Yosemite and is a good option if all the park's campsites are booked.

This is a great home that can easily accommodate a large group. Over 3000sq.ft. of space and two huge outdoor decks. Convenient and equipped kitchen, outside grill, lots of common space plus 3 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 7 queen size beds and a sofa bed the home can sleep 16. This is a great place to relax with family or friends, enjoy outdoor views without living the house. All the furniture, beds and mattresses are new as of June 2018!
The home is in a gated community and HOA rules require all guests to pay $30 per each car in your group per duration of your stay. Located in a gated community of Pine Mountain Lake with golf, hiking, restaurants and a seasonal pool nearby. You get the entire home to yourself, with the exception of garage. Parking is a bit tight, but 5 cars has been parked in driveway before.
  • This property was great. We rented this property the last part of December, and it was very cold and freezing, but did not have any snow. Our 16 guests had an amazing time at this place. LOTS of room around the house. The kids in our group decided that they didn't want to sleep in their parent's bedroom and brought in their own inflatable mattresses and set them up around the game room, which had plenty of room for them all to sleep together in the same room. The kids found that amazing, and had a blast talking and telling jokes all together in the same room (The parents also enjoyed the privacy) Although the ping pong table was being held together with duct tape, the kids enjoyed the table a lot, and spend lots of hours playing and having fun. The round set of couches allowed the older members of our group to spend a great time talking and having fun with each other. All of us were impressed with all the details provided by this property, like lots of kitchenware, dishes, silverware, etc. etc. The kitchen was amazingly equipped. The dining room was a bit smaller, and our group had to eat in phases, but that was not too terrible. Here are some information to be aware of: - There were 2 grills, one used propane and the other one used charcoal. The propane tank was empty, and we had no charcoal, so we were not able to barbecue at all. - we had 5 cars, we were able to fit 3 around the garage very tightly, and 2 in the driveway, but the driveway was very steep and a couple of cars skidded a bit while driving up the slope. Not too terrible, but worth noting. - We rented this house to go to Yosemite, and it took us 1 hour and 7 minutes each way. Parts of the road were icy, so we had to go a bit slower than normal. Under normal conditions it might take a bit less time to get to Yosemite. - One of the things we loved about this property was the amazing amounts of room everywhere in the house. ALL the bedrooms were oversized, and could easily fit extra mattresses. - The flooring was laminated wood throughout the house (no carpet any where, except in the stair steps. - All the bathrooms were very spacious and nicely built, although one of the doors didn't lock property. We had to push the door up a bit for the latch to engage. - The kitchen had enough space for 4 moms to cook simultaneously without stepping into each other. - The views were fantastic, we spotted a family of deer coming around the house. - We were running out of gas before coming into town, and had to go out of our way to find a gas station about 10 minutes away, however, the next day we found out that there is gas in town in Groveland, and the gas is actually a lot cheaper there than around the area. - One of the drivers forgot to follow the directions of the host to go through the gate, and had a bit of trouble coming into the gated community. Make sure ALL the drivers follow the directions and provide name, Unit 3, and lot 357. - All the bathrooms were fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap. 2 towels per bed were provided. No washcloths were provided, so we had to bring our own. - We couldn't find a decent broom, only a very small one, so we did what we could to sweep up on our way out. - There is firewood on the side of the garage, but it's only logs that you have to split yourself. No splitting tools were found, so we had to use a hammer and a screwdriver to split the logs. We were able to keep the fireplace going that way. - The wood burning fireplace was a very appreciated touch in the winter evenings for chatting around the fire. Very memorable. - The stairs to the lower floor are a bit steep, and a couple of kids almost fell a couple times, but nothing serious. - The house even had a first aid box with band-aids, which was very useful for a couple of scratches. Overall, we had an amazing time at this property. We fully recommend it.

  • A great private residence area that is quiet at night and very relaxing. Well located in Groveland and close to groceries/food. The home itself is nice and has plenty of common area for people to enjoy each other's company. The host is also very responsive and resolved issues we had. Would recommend! Just keep in mind that the driveway leading to the garage/parking area is fairly steep, so just be aware/ready.

  • Exceeded our expectations! Communication was very clear and everything went as planned. I would definitely recommended and would stay in this house again. ( the view is awesome!)

  • Serhiy is a great host. He responded to questions promptly and clearly. We appreciated that the space could comfortably fit our large group. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, oven, pans, and dishwasher. It even had a ping pong table, deck, couch with tv connected to Netflix, and a PS3 game system. Would recommend this place for large groups who want to visit Yosemite (about a 1 hr drive away)!

  • Nice location just outside of Yosemite, only a few miles from the iron door, 1st saloon on California. Steven, his brother Kyle, and father Bob were extremely friendly and accommodating. Great bonfire at night where we got to hand out with other campers and Steven. Would definitely stay again. Thanks for having us

  • Steven was a great host and very quick to respond to the last minute reservation. Camp site locations allowed easy access between the road and each site. Each site was clean and offered plenty of space for campers and vehicles. Recommend vehicles that can get up the initial steep, bumpy climb up into the property. Ability to see the starry night sky was amazing and each camp site had a light to mark the way.

    Mandy2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • As expected from the description. Dust was not an issue at all. I liked how there was someone supervising the site so I did not feel worried leaving anything at the site during the day. Great camping experience for booking very late!

    Isabella2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great campsite. There is a portable toilet with a hand washing station which I was not expecting but was happy to find. The hosts were kind and helpful. The campsite was clean and level. About 5mins to town which has a lot of good places to eat and a small grocery store. All in all, a good place to camp while visiting Yosemite.

    Olive2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience at Steven's campsite! It was relatively close to Yosemite, and 5 minutes from all the Groveland shops and restaurants, yet still far enough away that it felt very secluded and peaceful. Steven and Kenny were both very helpful (even jumped my car when the battery died!). The only downside was that the bathroom was a port a potty, but for camping, it was plenty. And they plan to build regular restrooms in the near future! I would recommend this site for anyone who wants to get out in the woods and rough it a little :)

  • The campsite was easy to find and we were welcomed in by a couple of friendly dogs. We were walked down to putt site and give a couple choices based on availability. All in all, a good night of camping and close to Yosemite. Not much more we could ask for.

    Robert2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • It is a cozy house with many great options for the whole family. We enjoyed the many board games left at the house, the fireplace, and the game room. The kitchen was pretty well stocked and very roomy. Cory was an excellent host and went out of his way to make sure the roads were safe since we were coming up on a weekend with snow in the forecast. We also enjoyed going into the little town of Groveland. The Saloon was a big hit for all of us and the coffee shop was good too.

    Maria2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Once stepping foot in the house, we felt so much at home and it’s a place we would stay again if we ever come back to the area.

    Alison2019-01-01T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful location with everything my small group needed. Enjoyed 3 nights without ever having to leave the property. Cory was amazingly communicative. I'm keeping it at the top of my list for next trip.
