Brighton is considered very bohemian and boasts a very diverse community with large student population and vibrant gay scene. Throughout the summer the city is buzzing and there are many famous events such as the Brighton comedy, fringe, music and food festivals and the Pride event in August. Brighton also has some of the best street art in the counrty and you'll find a few original Banky's dotted about. We are also just a 55 minutes train ride from London so it perfect if you are planning on visting London for the day. The city has many exciting attractions such as the Pavilion, Galleries, Museums, Theatres, Comedy Clubs, Nightlife, Restaurants and so much more. If you like shopping Brighton is also famous for the Lanes which has many boutiques style shops, cafes and restaurants where you will see many of the diverse mix of Brighton people hanging out and soaking up the unique atmosphere. Every year the city is growing and becoming more popular with so many things to do. There are also the beautiful Downs and country parks which are within sight of the apartment and are great for a hike or long walks to a pub lunch or cream tea. The local community has a Sainbury's supermarket 5 mins walk away, great fish and chip shop at the end of the street and a choice of local shops for take away, breakfast, coffee and a barbers and beauty salon too!
  • Lovely stay and a beautiful house. Great hospitality.

  • Peter and Seb’s place leaves nothing wanted for. I stayed in two of their rooms and each of the rooms was not only decorated like it was out of a magazine but very comfortable and practical- lots of gorgeous mood lighting and foam mattresses. The house itself is also very peaceful and quiet, thanks to both notes reminding guests of noise levels and gentle rules in place helping achieve this. Communication was a breeze- they were always there to answer questions. I loved my stay here and hope to be able to return. Book immediately if you’re questioning it!

  • Such a special place. As a single female traveller I felt safe and at home in this very comfy house. The special touches are fantastic, nothing is forgotten. Amazing value for money, I will be back.

  • We had a lovely stay at Number 34! We stayed in the copper room downstairs which was super cosy and private. The interiors in the whole house are beautiful though, and you notice more and more little touches as you walk around! We spent time with the cats who were super friendly and playful, especially Cilla. Oh, and the home made crumpets and jams/peanut butter in the morning were delicious! Would definitely recommend if you want somwhere quiet and homely to stay for the weekend!

Lovely large semi-detached house with excellent transport links and a beautiful view of the south downs. The room has a double bed and an extra single so that couples or friends can share comfortably. Free parking outside and less than 5 mins to the train station or bus stops and it's only 5 minutes by train to the centre. There are also a number of local shops and takeaways in the vicinity and the uni is 5 minutes walk down the hill from the house. Bed linen & bath towels included.
Quiet semi-detached house in residential area with free parking. I try to provide simple but spacious and comfortable accommodation at a friendly price and as someone that enjoys traveling I am always interested to meet people from other countries and cultures. I have taken up travel photography in the last few years so have put up some pictures from my trips around the house of my favorite places so hopefully it will inspire you a little to travel a bit more yourself. There are 2 beds in the room (1 double, 1 single) so please let me know if you need extra bedding for the single bed as otherwise only the double will be made up. There is also another airbnb room upstairs so you will be sharing the bathroom and kitchen with them and the other members of the household.
Quiet, residential and spacious with great views over the south downs

Enjoy a surprisingly spacious tiny home that meets all your needs within its walls. Enjoy the best of both worlds: 30 minutes walk from town, yet set on a quiet street looking onto woodland and the downs. Ideal for a romantic city break, for downs ramblers, cyclists and families with young children.
The house, while compact, has a surprisingly spacious feel with a number of different 'rooms': a mezzanine bedroom area and wet room making up the upper level and a kitchen and living room making up the lower level. There is additional storage space, accessible from the exterior of the cabin.
The street we live on is one of the most peaceful in Brighton: the woods in front of the house are noted as areas of scientific interest because of the diversity of animals living in them- watch foxes, badgers, and bats from the comfort of the living room! Our neighbours are people we get along really well with and socialise with so they'll be happy to pass on their recommendations on browsing the city too.
  • The eco cabin is a wonderful experience. It’s compact, clever and well put together. Our 3 year old thought it was an amazing adventure - the mezzanine bed was big enough for the three of us to share. The toilet/wet room is the craziest and we loved the boat style of the space. We would have loved to have stayed longer but it was perfect for our short visit to Brighton. Hannah and Ali are quick to respond to our questions and there was some very thoughtful touches in the cabin (toys/books/playing cards) that kept us occupied.

    Carla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay, the tiny house is really cool and it's great to see what you can fit in such a small space!

    David2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such an original quirky cabin. Really cosy and warm and perfect for weekend break away.

    Tim2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little cabin, really comfy beds. Very cosy and warm and lovely hosts. We will definitely be back!

    Kathryn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Quirky place to stay! Really cute and cosy, nice surroundings!

    Katie2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This eco-cabin is a great example of tiny home, sustainable living. True to pictures and description, the home is a surprisingly spacious and thoughtful place to spend a few days. It is easy to walk to Brighton Level (30mins), in a quiet suburb on a hill. Thoughtful touches like breakfast items, maps of the areas and books, make this stay super special. The highlight of the stay was the wet room, with steam punk inspired decor. We also loved the cozy bedding and soft lighting in the bed loft. Apart from being a wonderful place to stay and cozy home, this cabin does something more - it inspires. After staying here there will be a small part of you that wants to try and build your own cabin, and give eco-living a proper try. I know I came away with plenty of great ideas - the plate heater top among them. Thank you for your hard work, Hannah and Ali!

    C2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. Quirky and kids will love it.

    Sean2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to stay somewhere that is unique and has character then this is the place as it has both in abundance. Crossed between a canal boat and ski cabin it's cute, comfy and ergonomic. The location is a little far from the seafront by foot but that doesn't matter so much as the plus points of the cabin far out way the minor inconvenience of a brisk walk. When you walk in the first thing you find is an acoustic guitar hanging and no tv so what's not to love. Only slight minor point is the stairs to the shower room/toilet were a little tricky at night. Overall had a great time but no one enjoyed it more than my 10 year old x

Spacious en-suite summer house looking onto beautiful wild garden. Pine wood finish, chic decor, fully heated, wifi. Everything you need to get away. Extra comfy bed, wardrobe, chest of draws, hot shower, sink and toilet. Also have access to shared kitchen with washing machine, microwave and utilities in main building.

Near the rolling green of Stanmer Park and large corner shop nearby.

  • This is a cute little cottage in Anne’s backyard, which is perfect for a short term visit. The location is fairly central, but much closer to the universities than the city center. In my case, it was perfect for a short commute to school, but for folks visiting, it’s a bit longer on the bus than you might hope for. The amenities are perfect, though I wish there was a bigger sink and possibly a hot plate as I stayed for a week. Anne and her husband are incredible hosts and so, so friendly. You’ll be very welcomed to Brighton in Anne’s home. (:

  • Had a great experience staying with Louise. Absolutely adored her two wonderful cats.

    Maria2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Louise is a very friendly and helpful person. She dropped me off when it was raining, even she cooked delicious dinner on my last evening. The room has everything you may need, and bed is huge and comfy. Of course the house is not in the Brighton centre, but there's a reliable bus service to the city. Also, you can walk to Falmer university campus in 25-30 minutes, and the walk is pleasant (part through the park). As many people stated before - cats are super cute and they love petting. So if you're a cat person, don't hesitate ;) All in all, my stay was simply great. Thanks a lot Louise!

  • My first Air BnB, and it was a really lovely experience. Louise is super friendly and very chatty and made my one night stay very welcome. The area is in a nice quiet road which is serviced by a bus route. Parking was absolutely easy outside the house and not hard to find. Louise went out of her way to make sure that my stay was comfortable and I had a really good sleep. The venue has WiFi and Netflix/Amazon prime so I was able to catch up on an episode of stranger things. Her two cats are really friendly too and usually stay in an enclosure in the garden during the day. Am very glad to meet her and would definitely love to come back to stay should I be in the area. Thank you very much!!

We are very easy to reach by car from both the A23 (London, Gatwick and the north) or A27 (west and east) and it's just a 20 minute walk to the studio from Brighton mainline station or 5 minutes in a taxi. It's also just a 20 minute stroll down into the heart of town but there are plenty of buses too, from a bus stop 100 metres away. Brighton itself needs no introduction, with the Amex stadium, home to Brighton and Hove Albion football club (London road train station is just around the corner from us with a 7 minute journey to the stadiums), the pier(s), the new i360, the Theatre Royal and The Dome, the Lanes and North Laines, the racecourse (a 10 minute drive), the Marina, and of course as many shops/delis/cafes/restaurants/bars/clubs as you could possibly hope for. Brighton also plays host to some fabulous annual events, including the Brighton Festival throughout May, the marathon and Pride. Oh, and we forgot to mention the beach, the South Downs National Park, and all of the beautiful Sussex countryside..........

  • Amazing space and hosts! The little studio is so lovely and well equipped for everything you'll need! So much in such a small space but it doesn't feel cramped at all! The place was so clean and lovely! These guys are amazing and so friendly left us brownies on our arrival and they went down a treat! There's also a folder with so much information about the surrounding area which was so helpful! The location is amazing too you can walk into Brighton in about half hour, just a tad hilly at points! We really loved our stay and would definitely recommend it and even use it again!

  • Stephen and Anna’s studio is very well presented, clean and airy. It comes very well equipped with everything you will need to make you feel at home, with Stephen and Anna just next door should you have any questions or issues. It’s a good 20 minute walk in to the hustle and bustle of Brighton or there are local buses. You honestly will not regret booking this studio, excellent value for money and so much more than you would get from a hotel booking.

    Amanda2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Must say good & responsive hosts. About the place it’s nice & cosy apartment for two people with all the amenities. Overall, if you’re looking for a small & compact peaceful place away from the city then this is the one.!!

I have a very small room in a family home just off of the family lounge on the ground floor. It has a TV and reading bed side lamp as well as one on the other end of the room. My home has a pug do , no young children. Towel and bedding is supplied as is use of the kitchen to make a drink or use the microwave. Property is a few minutes walk from local shops (chemist, mini supermarket with subway eatery) and bus-stop to town which is a 20 min bus ride away and 10 min walk from the train station.
Good local bus service, near to train station and local shops. Clean small room, perfect to get your head down for a visit to Brighton.
The local shops include a Nisa and a Subway cafe as well as a chemist. The main Lewis road is a 3-5 min walk away with access to more buses in to Brighton or out of Brighton. The train station is a 5-10 minute walk away.

I live in a Brighton estate in a 3/4 bed semi detached house. I have large front and back garden. My home is close to all amenities including local transport, shops, and universities. I am approx 3 miles from Brighton seafront where you will also find the town centre, Pier, cinemas, lots bars restaraunts and named designer shops. Not forgetting the mixed cultured diverse shopping of the old and new North Laines. One more attraction known on Brighton Seafront is the i360.
The room is a good size consisting of double bed mictowave fridge tv and clothes storage. You will be overlooking the front of the house. At the front we live on a quiet road but can get busy and does have public transport running by the house.
The neighbourhood is quiet but is a busy residetial area where you will get chance to meet people. There are no pubs on estate so you will need to travel further into town for a drink.
  • Louise is a great host. I was greeted with a very warm welcome and felt at home and also had the privacy I like as well. Nice to be able to park on the street for free in Brighton as well. I had a very comfortable night's stay and would be very happy to stay again. Louise responded quickly to any communication and is a genuinely very thoughtful and welcoming host. i was made to feel at home immediately.

Self contained retreat nestled on the edge of the downs. This is a nicely decorated tiny home in a very quiet area with easy access to Brighton and the Downs. The double bed is situated on a small yet comfy mezzanine. There is a kitchenette area where you can cook meals that has microwave and fridge. There is an en-suite shower and toilet. With a private entrance and veranda situated in a quiet large south facing garden. Perfect for walking or a writers / creative retreat!
Self contained annex in a peaceful shared home in Bevendean. This is a nicely decorated annex big enough for two people. There is a double bed situated on a small yet comfy mezzanine. There is a area you can make light meals that has microwave and fridge. There is an en-suite shower and toilet. This is a very friendly and quiet neighborhood. The annex is better suited for younger people unless you are OK going up and down the stairs to sleep on the mezzanine . No party animals please! This is a place where you can relax and feel at home in a beautiful south facing garden. It's ideal for writers and artists or students being very close to the universities. It is situated in a very green leafy part of Brighton close to the Downs yet only 25 minutes on the bus to Brighton town center so you can have the best of both worlds here. We are passionate about the environment so do our best to conserve water, energy and recycle. We grow some of our own food. We are based on the edge of the downs so this spot is great for walking. We are close to Brighton and Sussex University.
We are based on the edge of the downs so this spot is great for walking. We have a local shop in our road where you can buy most of the things you need.
  • I spent a stormy February in Nick’s little place and was always warm and cozy. There are a few tiny home quirks to deal with, like washing dishes in the shower (because the kitchen area has no sink and the bathroom sink has no hot water), but over all I had everything I needed. I’m claustrophobic and was worried about the low ceiling over the bed, but I just slept with my head toward the open space instead of back against the wall and was never uncomfortable. There are bus stops and an okay shop just down the street, with a really excellent shop half a mile away. I preferred walking when I needed to go into Brighton but the buses seemed to run regularly. I loved that I could walk up the street a short ways to get out onto the hills (you can join the South Downs Way if you head east, and to the west there’s a big hill with the remains of a hill fort on top). Nick was friendly, helpful and responsive yet never invasive, and I can recommend his place for a stay within easy reach of Brighton and the South Downs.

  • The Tiny House is a fabulous little retreat. It is quirky and fun, but has all the essentials for a really cosy and comfortable stay. Nick is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Thank you Nick for all your kindness.

  • It was a very lovely stay at Nick's Tinyhouse! The house has everything you need for a lovely stay in Brighton :) At the time I was working on my thesis and really appreciated the peaceful environment, with a lovely view towards the downs :) Communication was fast and check-in very easy.

Provided a hot plate in addition to microwave and kettle which was brilliant as meant I could cook most nights and save a bit more money! Bed was super comfy and loved having a casual area to just chill and enjoy the scenery after a long day!

  • We enjoyed our stay at the annex and would recommend it to everyone! Nick was helpful and very easy to approach. We had everything we needed, including super fast internet and a very nice terrace. While the place does not have a stove it has a microwave for quick meals. Thanks Nick :)

Brighton is considered very bohemian and boasts a diverse community, a large student population, a vibrant gay scene, and some of the country's best street art. There's a great fish and chip shop at the end of the street and a choice of local shops.

This is a happy family home in Bevendean. It is peaceful here with the downs close by. We welcome anyone, but those with young children will feel right at home with plenty to keep their little ones entertained. There are good transport links into Brighton (and further afield) by bus and train. There is plenty of free parking with easy access to the A27/M23 making travel to us hassle free. We are a professional family who are used to living with others, enjoy life and live a healthy lifestyle.
Bevendean is a relatively quiet neghbourhood due to little through traffic. It is very family friendly and is also home to students who attend University. We are fortunate to be part of a lovely community here.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Chantalle’s family home. Their outstanding hospitality made my stay very comfortable. It is not close to the town centre or beach, but still within walking distance if you are not in a hurry. A great home to stay at! Would definitely recommend

  • The place is amazing! It was way better than we expected. If you have to go to Brighton you should choose this flat for your stay. It is a little bit far from the center but there is a bus stop very close to it. It is possible to reach the centr also by foot, it will take more or less 30 minutes.

A lovely room in a lively family house. The bed is very comfortable. There is also a sofa bed which can easily be converted into a small double - either for two guests or lots of sleeping space. There is a desk, free WiFi and access from the house to a decked area and a garden. This room is on the middle floor of a spacious double fronted family house in Brighton. It is light and airy. You will have use of a modern, well fitted bathroom on the first floor that has a bath and a shower. Our family won't use this bathroom but you may have to share it with other guests. We are a friendly couple who enjoy visitors. We will be able to help you during your stay by providing local information.
This is a residential area but over the road is a small food shop which is open from 8am to 8pm everyday. Down the road there is a pharmacy, florist, pizza take away, off license, fish and chip shop, family run cafe and delicatessen. Just up the road at Fiveways there is another fish & chip shop, a post office, sweet shop, a well stocked fruit and veg shop and a few restaurants. There are several good pubs within easy walking distance and just around the corner on Lowther Road there is a lovely cafe with delicious home made cakes called The Old Bakehouse. Brighton is famous for The Pier - fun rides and excitement day and night, The Pavilion and its amazing architecture and well known across the world for its artistic and free thinking community, buzzing night life, great restaurants, magical winding Lanes and quirky North Laine shops. You will never be bored in Brighton, there is always something to do here, but when you come back to the house you will relish its tranquility!

  • A beautiful house to have a relaxing stay independent of the reason visiting Brighton. I hadn't had the chance to stay with the hosts, but the communication and care wasn't less since everything was thought out. I would recommend Claudia's for either a short or a long stay. Personally it raised the bar for Mr, for the Airbnb experience. Wish you all the best Claudia n Derek!

Hidden away from the main street is this little cozy gem. Follow a small laneway from the residential street, past the leathermaker and arrive on a secluded deck next to an old thermometer works and you have arrived at the Annexe. During the working day the lane and out building houses work shop space for local crafts people and artisans. By evening and weekends.... Just you.
A comfortable little bungalow, detached, warm and cozy in the colder months, bright and airy when the sun decides to shine. A lounge area in the heart while off to one side is a modern kitchen with all the mod cons required. To the other a bathroom with bath and power shower and a large bedroom with storage and desk area and a comfy bed.
Located in Five Ways, an area with bars, shops and a couple of small restaurants. Other than a handy Coop store for your basic needs, there is a scattering of craft shops, bookseller's and cafes close by. (All 3/4 mins walk away).

  • John’s annex is a beautifully decorated comfortable place to stay. It is a home from home where you feel calm as soon as you walk in. The free parking is excellent-not something that you would expect being in Brighton! Despite our trip being during Storm Dennis’ arrival, the annex was really quiet and no rain or wind disturbed our stay. John always responds rapidly and is very helpful. He will be there if you need help or he’ll leave you to it to explore Brighton. A fabulous stay and would definitely recommend!!

    Alice2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place is a tucked away gem in the heart of Brighton. A simple walk away from the town centre and mainline station means you can get the most out of your stay whilst still being in a quiet neighborhood!

This bright single room provides lovely views across Brighton to the sea including the i360 tower. Great for solo travellers and students. This room comes with shared use of the bright, clean kitchen area, newly refurbished wet room and living area. There is a nice sized enclosed south facing garden where you can relax. Please note smoking is allowed in the garden but not in the house. There is free WIFI and free on-street parking!
Our house is situated on a hill and there are also steps leading up to the front door - so unfortunately not suitable access for wheelchairs. This house is very close to the University of Brighton just off Lewes Road which is next to Mouslecoomb Train Station (10 minute walk downhill) and a 6 minute journey into Brighton station. Or a 5 minute drive. The City centre is a 25-35 minute walk, or main bus route (25 & 49) with buses every few minutes to the rest of the city and these run all night. The AMEX football stadium is a 5 minute drive away and approximately a 20 minute walk. This is situated next to the Falmer campus of Brighton University and also the University of Sussex campus, one stop by train to Falmer Station. This is not a family home. We enjoy playing music rather than watching TV, but guests are welcome to use the TV room/lounge. We are in a quiet residential area with access to the downs where you can take long country walks with breathtaking views over Brighton or visit the nearby Stanmer Park (National Trust).
There is a local pub nearby and a local convenience store which has a post office and a public library is a 15 minutes walk away. There are also two large country parks nearby that have beautiful walks and picnic areas, Stanmer Park (National Trust) and Wild Park. Gatwick airport is approximately half an hour away by car or train, if coming by train the Gatwick Express runs frequently between Brighton and Gatwick. From the M23 you take the exit for the A23 or A27 to Brighton if coming by car. Brighton breathes art and culture, with fab restaurants, bars, thriving nightlife, cinemas, unique boutiques. a pier and seafront. The famous Brighton Pavilion is a very popular attraction (situated near the seafront). Brighton has a very diverse community with large student population and dynamic gay scene. Brighton is also famous for street art, look carefully you might find a few original Banksy's. The city of London is only 55 minutes train ride away too! Be prepared to shop! The North and South Lanes have boutique style shops, antique jewellers, cafes and restaurants where you will find a very unique atmosphere. There's a large shopping centre too!
  • Jacqui is a great host, with really good communication. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of space for cooking in the kitchen, there are 2 other rooms taken up by Airbnb guests or renters. Easy street parking which was a big plus especially for Brighton. It was perfect for me for staying whilst at the University for work.

    Xavier2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice house, neighborhood and room with a stunning view! It is close to a bus stop where it’s easy to get to both the city as well as Falmer, which is great.

    Guy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jacqui's place is lovely and the vibe is great. It's a real houseshare - very open, friendly, but private. The only downside was that I couldn't lock my room, but I did not have any issues with that. Great value for money.

  • I really appreciated this place. The house is very big and very peaceful. You have little supermarkets all around the house and the bus station is very close. It's about 15 minutes to go to the city center. I recommand this place. The only thing I have to say is the house was cold. You have a radiator in your room which is perfect but the other parts are too cold.

  • This home is an amazing place to stay in so many different ways; too many ways to mention. Unbeatable value.
