  • Cute little place to stay in Neosho MO. The host made check in super easy and the place was clean and tidy. She had everything available to make waffles, tea and coffee in the kitchenette as well as an ice machine, fridge and microwave. This little apartment is tucked behind a tanning salon, (which I was tempted to go to had I had time) which didn’t make much is a difference noise wise. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • Louise was a great hostess. She answered questions and made sure we had everything we needed. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The extra touches like lotion and pancake mix were really thoughtful.

The kitchen is set so you don't have to eat out. Pots & pans, dishes, assorted cookware, really nice. There is a high top for 2. The bed is comfortable and has its own flat screen. There is a walk in closet. The bathroom is wonderful. Can you say open concept rain shower with a hand held sprayer.... there's also a washer & dryer. Denise is very kind & she even baked biscuits. We so enjoyed our 26th Anniversary and we will be visiting again.

We are doing our part to help our Airbnb guest stay safe by cleaning and disinfection frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handle, remotes, etc) before you check in. Private place in a quiet town but still close to all the summer canoeing, floating, fishing and camping. Every season brings a beautiful surrounding to this cozy studio space. Feel free to build a nice fire out at the fire pit and relax under the stars in the evening. (as weather and season permits).
Private parking space and separate entrance.
Goodman is surrounded by the best of what Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma natural surroundings has to offer: Summers on the river or biking the back-roads. Spring time is full of festivals and arts and craft fairs. My Place is less than 2 miles east of Interstate 49 from either direction. Check out the map in my photos.

Private & spacious large guest bedroom with a private full bathroom in a cozy home! Extremely comfortable queen bed with memory foam topper! Plenty of storage with an empty dresser and large closet. Available for short or long-term stays!
Our home is entirely non-smoking. We do have two very cute and very friendly cats, so be warned if you’re allergic! We also have a housewide alarm system that we can turn on at night, if you would like! The room is a large, 12 foot by 12 foot, private guest room tucked away at the end of our home. 32-inch television with Amazon Firestick and free Netflix/Hulu streaming in the room. Queen bed with extremely comfortable memory foam topper. Plenty of storage space with a dresser and closet. Adjacent private full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, toilet, sink, and a small linen closet. We’re happy to host any visiting/auditioning medical students, so please message for a discounted monthly rate!

Cozy upstairs one-bedroom apartment all to yourself! "Unit B" offers everything you need for a clean and comfortable stay in this home away from home.
New, new, new! So much in here is new and fresh. New bed, new couch, new chair, new dining set, new shower curtain, new bath mat, new silverware, and the list goes on!! You enter the upstairs apartment (NOTE: must climb about 8 steep- ish stairs to get inside) to find a darling living room, which has a smart tv, couch and comfy chair. The living room leads into the one bedroom. Here you will find a brand-new mattress and box springs with new, hotel-quality clean sheets and one of several bedspreads that we switch out between uses. There is also a twin air mattress for sleeping and the couch works, too. The bathroom is well-stocked with hotel-quality towels and any everything you need to take a relaxing bath or shower. The kitchen has what you will need to eat and cook a meal or just warm something in the microwave. In addition to the stove, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer, we have a coffee pot that you can use to brew fresh coffee. We keep some basic kitchen supplies for your use too, such as olive oil, salt, pepper, and a fresh jug of cold water. All kitchen utensils and supplies are provided for you. The unit has great parking. We ask that guests park on the right side of the "parking lot" to the unit, as our permanent tenant parks over to the left. There is easily enough room for two vehicles to pull in, and also street parking is available too. The neighborhood is near I-44, the hospitals (just a couple of minutes), several restaurants (Moe's, Schlotzsky's, Tropical Smoothie), two pharmacies (Walgreens & CVS), Mercy Park, the tornado memorial, and much more. This space is ideal for 1-2 adults. There is room for an additional child or even two, but it may get cramped. It’s a great space but small. There is room for a twin air mattress on the floor. This apartment would be ideal for a longer term stay.
neighborhood, within five minute drive of I-44, both hospitals, restaurants, and pharmacy.
  • Lauren’s Place was a great value and so cozy and quaint! There are games and movies as well as a smart tv for entertainment. The kitchen is equipped with all the basics and there are complimentary snacks too. It was super clean and the art was a very cool touch. There’s plenty of hot water and shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided. The neighborhood is quiet and the balcony deck is nice to share a drink and relax. I would definitely stay here again!

  • This is the perfect apartment for the weekend or a short stay. The stairs where a bit funny sized but that is noted when you read the info on the place. Make sure you are aware of that - we had no problem as I expected it but if you have any kind of mobility issue it might be a struggle. My daughter and I loved staying here while in town for an event. Thanks!

This Airbnb is housed in one of Joplin's Historic Landmarks, the Frederick H. Rogers House, completed in 1905. Frederick H. Rogers was a mining entrepreneur during the peak of the lead and zinc mining era. He engaged Austin Allen, the most prominent architect of the era, to design the house to his specifications. The house features domed ceilings, hardwood floors laid in the log cabin design and imported wood trim. The Rogers family called the house home until 1917.
The William H. Landreth family occupied the home from 1917-1953. Landreth was a prominent businessman and even though he never held public office was very much involved in the development of Joplin. He was instrumental in cleaning up the "Kansas City Bottoms" which was known as Joplin's red-light district, and donated that land to establish what we now know as Landreth Park. The Wieman family lived in the house from the early 1950s to the early 1980s. Dr. Harry K. Wieman was a leading physician of Joplin and was instrumental in the development of both the Freeman and St. John's Hospitals. His wife, Mary, was a reporter for the Joplin Globe Newspaper and taught English at Joplin High School. She too was an influential leader in the community.
North Heights Neighborhood is an eclectic mix of people that are good neighbors. Among them are business owners, professional people, academics and retirees. We stay connected on our facebook page: North Heights Neighborhood Group Joplin, MO. The Neighborhood Group stages social and service events throughout the year like Porchfest in October and Earth Day in April. The Group works to make North Heights a "Place to Belong".

This is one of two guest rooms. Beautifully furnished room with a queen-sized bed, walk-in closet with desk/workspace, and access to a shared living space, kitchen, front porch, fireplace, and dining room. We are a few blocks from Historic Route 66, a 3 min drive from downtown, 10 minutes from the Joplin airport, 12 minutes from both Freeman and Mercy hospitals, about 12-15 minutes from Interstate 44 and 49.
The room itself has a queen-size bed, lounge chair, and walk-in closet. It features wood floors and a beautiful window overlooking the back yard. The upstairs bathroom is right next to your room and your door opens to a shared living space with a couch, chairs and plenty of space to relax.
Our historic neighborhood is called North Heights and was originally built by several wealthy families in Joplin's early days. Now it is a mixed low to high income family neighborhood, which makes it a unique transitionary space between the Roanoke neighborhood to the north and downtown neighborhoods to the south.
  • Amazing place to stay! It reminded me of my own home. Lively family with great hospitality. Everything you need for a perfect stay.

When I arrived that evening, Stephen (along with their two adorable twin boys!) was there to greet me. The home is immaculate, and I slept so soundly on the comfy bed upstairs. I would certainly recommend this place to any one looking for a safe, clean, and inviting space :)

Behind our 1895 queen anne stands this mother in law's quarters in the same charming victorian motif. It's essentially one 200 square foot room with a 16 foot ceiling. Inside are stairs up to a 90 square foot lofted space with stand up shower. Come stay in the historic Murphysburg neighborhood of Joplin. Just three blocks from main street and four blocks off of historic Route 66, many restaurants and downtown event centers are within walking distance.
  • It’s a great place to stay for the price.

    Sarah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying in the house! We were just in town for an event and stayed overnight. Brendan was quick to respond to any questions or requests that I had. We loved the tiny space and how cozy and quaint it was. There was no TV but we absolutely loved that. It was nice to be away from all the noise of the city and enjoy the quiet and our time together! We will definitely put this on our list as somewhere to stay again! Thank you!

  • This sweet guest house may be my favorite Airbnb stay yet! It is very clean, bright and stylish. Seriously great sleep in the comfy bed and I loved curling up with a vintage quilt in the reading chair. Brendan and Amber were gracious hosts and promptly answered any questions I had. The Murphysburg area is gorgeous and it was fun dreaming about the historic homes that you can see from the guest house windows.

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a lovely place in a historic neighborhood. Brendan was a great host and very attentive. The accommodations were spotless. We enjoyed our short stay.

    Chip2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Brendan was an excellent host! He was quick to respond and flexible with my schedule. The house is ideal for a couple or single guest visiting the Joplin area. I accidentally fell asleep on the lovely little Andes mint(left for me on the pillow) and squished chocolate everywhere. 😅 Brendan was kind and understanding! I will definitely return again someday!! :)

My Little House is a relaxing escape from the hotel scene or sharing a room in someone's home. This place is all yours and it has everything you need for a weekend or a short term stay. We love pets so don't leave yours boarded, bring them along. Just please make sure to clean up after them. I wouldn't recommend more than two people but the couch is quite comfy to nap on. Just ask my husband. :) Thanks for looking and I hope you choose the Little House for your stay in Joplin!

  • Brad & Sarah, Thanks so much for sharing your space with us! Quick trip down I-44 to Joplin and we are so glad we choose to stay with you! Very cute with special touches throughout. Private with parking. Coffee machine much needed included. Everything was immaculate. I was really impressed with not only the decor but also the fact that I forgot my hairspray and low and behold just under the bathroom sink was hairspray and several other things, that if I had forgotten, I would not have had to make a run to the drug store. Great couple and a lovely family! Thanks again, The Wilsons

Sitting atop Stone Haven, a separate entrance leads upstairs to a charming sunny space filled with every creature comfort. The stone cottage sits on a hillside in North Heights, with a view of the Ozarks, in a quiet, well-established neighborhood just blocks from historic Route 66, Ozark Christian College and downtown Joplin. Here is also the site of the Bonnie and Clyde shootout, among other historic sights too numerous to mention. If you have a larger group, both flats together can sleep 8.
Perched on the edge of town, Stoney Heights is the 2nd story of this quaint stone cottage. It’s been lovingly decorated and furnished to make you feel comfortable and at home. Think soft linens, beds piled high with pillows; hot showers and soft thick towels; quilts and cocoa; tea and cookies; a good book or puzzle. The decor may change with the seasons, but the kitchen is fully stocked, just add food. Whether working or relaxing, we want Stoney Heights to feel like another home to you.
North Heights is a well established neighborhood on the edge of town that borders on the prestigious Roanoke. Stoney Heights sits atop a hill on a lovely quiet street that is sprinkled with stately homes as well as more modest homes.

Little Brick Empire is located in the center of town. We are seven minutes from I44 and Mercy Hospital and just five from from Freeman Hospital. KU med school is just blocks away. We are two minutes away from Cunningham Park which sports an awesome pool and play area for the kiddos. See pic. Five blocks away is a great grocery with a Starbucks and a tasty hot deli if you don’t feeling like cooking or going out and an incredible salad bar. We are close to great restaurants too. Downtown is a very short drive. There are lots of cool boutiques, restaurants and night life. Check out Pearl Brothers, a Joplin icon ‘mom and pop’ hardware store originally opened in 1905. They have tons of interesting items and it is like stepping back in time. So cool. You can relax on the shaded front porch of this little bungalow built in 1925. We are in a family friendly neighborhood. The neighbors are great! Inside you will find arched doorways and cozy rooms filled with windows and light. There are original hardwood floors and ample storage. If that is not enough storage-there is an entire dry basement. Decorated in boho/eclectic/traditional/hippie/old school/mid century/modern....we just hope you like it. The kitchen should have everything you need. There is coffee, tea, moo cows and sugar, basic spices and condiments. I am normally around but if I’m not, there will be a family or friend person to help. You can park your beauty in the garage, carport or on the street. The neighbors are nice. Almost forgot. We are about four minutes from Route66.
This is a family neighborhood. You may see a kiddo on a bike or playing in the yard. Cute older homes with character with tree lined streets. Take a walk around the corner (west) and see this old colonial that really looks like it belongs in New Orleans. Notice the detail in these fab old homes and be happy that almost all are kept nicely. That doesn’t always happen. The neighbors are friendly and that makes me very proud of our little town.
  • The house was very clean and comfy. The host was delightful and thoughtful. We plan to visit again in the future

  • I love this house and the host. The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, the house was very warm and inviting, and Marcy was so communicative and lovely. I can't wait to be back.

    Morgan2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • A group of us stayed in Marcy's Little Brick Empire while in town for a friend's birthday. The bungalow is small, but feels cozy and inviting. The decor was charming, there were plenty of linens, blankets, local suggestions, and coffeeeeee! My favorite part, though, was how well Marcy communicated with us -- I was never concerned about what I was supposed to do, if I'd have the right door code, etc. A great little getaway!

    Merry2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location! Close to downtown and Ozark Christian College. Such a cute house in a good neighborhood. We love it!!

  • Marcy's home was very clean and inviting! If we do not stay with family while in Joplin we would definitely stay at her home again! Marcy was very easy to communicate with :)

  • I read the reviews prior to booking both good and the one that stood out as bad. Definitely hear the good! Christina’s instructions were clear and accurate. The place is neat clean and spacious. Good amenities, great shower pressure (and yes the shower is small but do-able and I’m a full figured girl). Bed is comfy and there is table for work space. I would definitely stay again and recommend highly

  • The cabin/grounds are so beautiful, peaceful and clean. The craftsmanship and hard work shows everywhere you look. The owners are wonderful. Had we not gotten sick on our way there, running outside in the rain to use the bathroom (which was beautiful too) wouldn't have been an issue.

We stayed 6 nights and appreciated the sofa and beds are comfortable, the nice large smart tv w excellent wifi, an additional tv that my grandson enjoyed playing his Playstation on, coffee and a nice kitchen, a large fenced yard & the fact we can bring our little minpin. The owner is always quick to respond to questions and was kind enough to alert us about a winter storm while we were staying. An umbrella 🌂 on the coat rack was handy & salt was even available for the ice on the walkway. This place makes our trips to Joplin for employment so enjoyable while we can VISIT family RATHER than move in with them!

  • Great little last minute find. The house was super cute and clean. The neighborhood is older and a bit run down but quiet and we never had any issues. There are train tracks pretty close and very active. It never bothered me but if you're a light sleeper, it's something that you may want to consider. I'd definitely stay again

This beautiful 1928 building was The Hideout for Bonnie & Clyde during their 13 days in Joplin, Missouri. They were accompanied by Buck Barrow (Clydes brother), wife, Blanche and friend, W. D. Jones. On Friday, April 13, 1933, Officers Harry McGinnis and JW Harryman responded to this location after receiving reports of bootlegging. Both officers died in the shootout that followed. A roll of film was left behind and provided law enforcement with the 1st images of the couple.
This five room apartment is located upstairs. The Barrow gang chose this location due to the 360 degree views from here, making the apartment bright and airy. You can watch the original movie "Bonnie & Clyde" in the living room where some of the events took place. Or, read Blanche Barrows book, MY LIFE WITH BONNIE AND CLYDE written from Blanches diaries. There is an entire chapter written about the events that took place during their 13 day stay in this apartment.
Located in south Joplin, close to a wide variety of food, entertainment and shopping. We have recovered from the F5 tornado that devastated our city in May 2011 and have come back stronger. Joplin is a beautiful place, full of history. Come for a visit.
  • For the insufferable history nerd it doesn't get better than this. I made the reservation/trip to Joplin because I was case as Blanche Barrow in a production of Bonnie and Clyde the musical, so I wanted to spend some time in the real place the Barrow gang inhabited. I was blown away by all the wonderful little touches Saundra put in the place to give the appearance of what it might have looked like all those years ago, as well as plent of reading material about the history there. (Plust plenty of amenities for an overnight stay-soap, plates, silverware, towels, cutlery, etc.)

    Deborah2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fun, historic little place! Loved the experience!

    Amber2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. You’ll feel right at home.

    Margaret2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • I traveled over 500 miles just to see Bonnie and Clyde's hideout apartment, and I was not disappointed. My first impression of the apartment was that it felt as though the Barrow gang had just left. Saundra added a lot of little touches that made me feel like I was back in the 1930s, without sacrificing modern day conveniences. There is even a TV "hidden" in the living room. If you are interested in what happened during the Barrows' stay, there is a book written by Blanche Barrow on a table in the living room. Because of my interest in Bonnie and Clyde history, I may be a bit biased, but my only complaint is that my schedule would not allow me to stay another night. This gem is a must see if you are a Bonnie and Clyde enthusiast, or if you're just looking for a clean cozy place in a nice neighborhood. I will definitely be back.

  • Saundra is an exceptional host, going the extra mile to make the experience of the Bonnie and Clyde hideaway an unforgettable stay! In keeping with history, she has placed emphasis on the loss of the lives of the policemen on that fateful day. It is furnished much like it would have been back then, but with modern amenities, a super comfortable bed, and fascinating details. You will not regret staying here and sharing your experience! Thank you for helping keep history alive, Saundra!

  • My husband and I enjoyed the stay here. This was a great first experience using Air B&B. The coffee was delicious. The towels and bedsheets were really clean and smelled great. Perfect little home for a little stay. Also way cheaper than any hotel would have been, and felt a better homey experience. My husband is a huge nerd, and loved the pictures on the wall in the bedroom. The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was, and it was very warm when we walked in 10/10 would recommend.

  • Kenneth’s place is absolutely breathtaking. The wood work alone in this house Is absolutely amazing. The history to go along with it is worth the stay. Kenneth is probably one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met!

  • Kenneth is a very gracious host. He even salted the walkway and stairs to the front door since it was snowing in Joplin. The room is very clean and quiet. The bed and pillows are comfortable. I slept like a rock. Kenneth even suggested a wonderful little restaurant for dinner.

Featured in May 2019 Show Me Magazine, you may be familiar with the house, as this is the lower flat of Stoney Heights. The atmosphere here has the hallmarks of a centuries old countryside cottage, but it’s close to town, with lots of modern amenities. Soft linens and painterly touches provide a feeling of indulgence, and comfort abounds. If you have a group of eight, we can accommodate you in both flats. Check your dates and book early. I look forward to hosting you!
Rescued treasures and cozy furnishings come together to create a place for you to work, relax, or stop along your travels for a good nights sleep.
Perched on a hill overlooking the neighborhood in the north end of town, and on Route 66, Stone Haven is within walking distance of Ozark Christian College and downtown Joplin, convenience stores and local eateries. Unique shops and a host of churches are only blocks away.
  • Beautiful home. So clean. Great attention to detail. Super comfortable but also a little like stepping back in time. Big kitchen. Nice beds. Good location. Easy check-in. 👍👍👍

  • Delightful house with charming decorations. Beds are very comfortable and we loved the electric fireplace in the living room. Kim is a great hostess and so easy to deal with. It is very close to Ozark Christian College - a three minute drive, or you could even walk in warm weather. We will certainly see if Stone Haven is available the next time we are back in Joplin.
