  • We absolutely loved our stay at your wonderful house in Nerong. Could have stayed for a month! The house was just perfect- clean, spacious, comfortable and so beautifully decorated. Lovely touches like lots of tea and coffee, great BBQ, quality soap and shampoo, good towels, etc. Our kids (29 and 27) and their partners really enjoyed the water, paddle boarding, canoeing etc. But the icing on the cake was being able to have Kobe, our chocolate lab, with us. He was in 7th heaven and spent most of his time in his private pool by the gate to the water! And thank you again for so kindly letting us to leave a little later which allowed for a leisurely brekkie and a family photo shoot. We will definitely be back!

She let us to check out later, very prompt communication and her place is AMAZING with cleanness, with little beautiful details and so much offered and thoughtful preparation for entertainment for any type of guests as for little children to couples or for someone who just wants to relax and recharge. I highly recommend this accomodation and I would definitely love to come back. Dont forget the camels riding and the beautiful Anna Bay.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages are close to the magnificent Myall Lakes and the beach. You’ll love my place because of the serenity of being in the bush, the bush views, the ambiance, the outdoors space, the complete privacy, the chooks, garden and orchard, the location. My place is good for couples and families (with kids) and especially suited to romantic getaways.
Bombah Point Eco Cottages are private and set in bushland on a 100 acre Wildlife Reserve. Each cottage is nestled in the trees and wood fire, a spa bath and a hammock on the veranda.
Bombah Point Eco Cottages are set on 100 acres for Australian bush, adjacent to The Myall Lakes, with many native animals and plants available to see. We have a number of bushwalking tracks that also link to National Park walking tracks.
  • Great place to escape city life

    Scott2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the peace and quiet here, and felt a million miles from anywhere. The cottages are beautiful, spacious and very comfortable, and fully equipped. It is only about 10 minutes drive to shops for supplies, or you can get some items at reception. A beautiful area full of things to see, or just relax and do nothing. We also loved the wonderful veg and herb garden and the very productive chooks.

  • Awesome weekend away, will be going back for sure

    Dom2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, even educational for the kids. The hosts are great, offering our young kids to use the kayaks on nearby lake...pick eggs in morning... wonderful.

  • The perfect getaway to chill out, disconnect from the hectic day to day and to reset! Cabins are more like mini homes. Everything was clean, comfortable and the games room was fully stocked! We had a great time and being only 1.5 hours from Newcastle meant it was just far enough away without being a long haul! The wild life was friendly and we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Highly recommended.

  • Amazing location and loved spending our time wildlife spotting. Great local recommendations of things to do and places to go. Loved it!!!

  • We just recently stayed for a week at one of Duncan's eco treehouse and it was a fantastic experience. So peaceful and secluded even though there are a few other treehouses around you. The whole setup of Bombah is great for adults only or a family with kids. Eggs and vegies available to collect and fun games such as pool table and ping pong etc. The pool was a huge bonus in the hot summer weather. We'd love to come back in the cooler months for a different experience...highly recommend!

    Leanne2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was an amazing Christmas escape from the city. The place is located in the middle of the Myann lakes national park and it is just stunning. Beautifully curated cottages with all the amenities you could possibly desire but still maintaining a consciousness for sustainability. It was wonderful to explore the surroundings but also to just stay at the property and relax picking up veggies and herbs from the garden and feeding the chickens! Duncan and Suzie are wonderful hosts, warm, helpful and just make you feel part of the family. Thank you for an Amazon stay, we will surely be back!

  • If you are looking for a private, tranquil and peaceful getaway Tuppy’s on the lake is perfect. The home is cosy, clean, well equipped and has a gorgeous view of the lake. Some favourites parts were the lush gardens- full of lovely plants and wildlife, extensive DVD collection, fireplace, hammocks and sun lounges. The beds are comfortable and wifi was helpful. This property is a ten minute drive to the beaches (Seal Rocks) and is just down the road from a handy convenience store/takeaway. A special thank you to the owners who allow this property to be dog friendly. Our furry friend had a wonderful time away with us.

  • Had amazing time, the view was gorgeous. Kitchen was stocked with anything a food crazy group Like us needed to cook with. Any issues we had they were quick to remedy. Can’t wait to come back again

    Sarah2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Tuppy’s. We stayed for a weekend, but it is definitely the kind of place you need to stay for longer to enjoy the lake, the surrounding area, all the dvds, music and books, having barbecues and sitting by the fire. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and had everything we needed. We would love to come back and enjoy more of what it has to offer. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

    Gemma & Jason2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tuppy’s was a wonderful lakeside home with an amazing view, it was peaceful and we made use of the canoe and little boat to explore the lake. Our Labrador loved swimming there too. The home was modern and homey at the same time. Location is perfect as we got to enjoy a different landscape of Australia, but we were also a quick distance to beaches.

    Xueli2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect cosy winters stay with the real fire burning away into the evening after a days exploring. We'll look to come back in the summer too, to enjoy the garden and lake.

  • This house is in a beautiful location next to a lake, though a car will be needed to go anywhere else e.g. nowhere within walking distance. The house was lovely, clean with great array of DVDs, CDs and books. There is a beautiful, well kept garden and it was a pleasure to sit on the deck overlooking the lake and garden.

Nerong is in Myall Lakes National Park. Less than 3 hrs drive north of Sydney. Our house is approx 300m from the boat ramp giving you access to enjoy the Myall Lakes. Nerong village doesn’t have any shops, cafes or restaurants. Bulahdelah (8 minutes drive north) is the closest & has all amenities. It has a great pub, bottle shop, butcher, bakery, IGA, Chemist , clubs and cafes etc. The house is set up for you to relax & just chill on the wraparound verandah and watch the friendly kangaroos.
Only 2 minutes drive off the Pacific highway turn off. Check yourself in with the lock box. Amazing bird life in the park and lots of water birds if you venture onto the beautiful lakes. Modern kitchen and comfortable beds. Great for families or friends. Pets will be considered on individual basis. Drinking water provided. Wraparound secure verandah. BBQ area. The village of Nerong is on tank water, so we request guests to use water thoughtfully. Nerong is a great base to discover wineries, cafes, farms and garden in The Great Lakes Food Trail. See www.thegreatlakesfoodtrailnsw.com.au
There are many native animals such as kangaroos, goannas and a large variety of birdlife in this quaint village. 8 mins drive from Bulahdelah shops. There are Bushwalking trails and swimming areas to relax in the tea tree waters. Great for Boating, water skiing, canoeing, fishing, SUP and exploring the lakes. There are excellent beaches and other areas to access the lakes within 30 - 40 minutes drive , for example, Jimmy’s beach, Neranie, Hawks nest, Tea gardens and Seal rocks.
  • Liz's home is a spacious, clean, comfortable space, that allowed us to spend the long weekend in Nerong. It was a great base to explore the local beaches and also gave us access to the Myall River for kayaking. There are no shops in Nerong, so all food and drinks need to be brought in. The fridge holds a great amount of food for a family for a few days. Liz's quick communication made it easy to ask any questions. I can highly recommend this home for a holiday stay. Katia

  • Our stay at Bimbimbi Nerong, was great, the house has been recently renovated and very comfortable. A convenient location for those wanting to explore the beaches and Myall lakes all within a comfortable drive from the property. Location is very quiet, with access to the lake only minutes walk away . Admittedly we didn’t spend all of our time at the property however the house has a big wrap around balcony with lots of shade and safe for those with young children. Liz has been great in providing quick response to any questions and local information. Great hosts would definitely return.

    Dennis2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Luke are great hosts, we had a great time at their place in beautiful Nerong. The house is comfortable with a breezy veranda excellent to chill at sunset whilst Kangaroos roam around. we enjoyed the walking tracks and lake, which are a short walk to the house, and the many beaches in the mid-north coast. Beautiful house surrounded by gorgeous land.. thanks again for the good times!

Olen Cabin is our fully equipped guest house, located in the 'back paddock' of our 100 acre property, overlooking lagoons, pasture and gum trees that line the property.  Olen contains one bedroom, one bathroom, a welcoming and light vibe, with fresh decor, chosen for comfort. Stock your fridge with your favourites to enjoy during your stay. It's a chill place that is deeply restorative. No wifi & very limited phone service. It's time to unplug and reconnect. We hope to welcome you soon.
If you are after a quiet stay in a bushland retreat you have found your place. We provide all you need to cook your own meals plus the "necessities"; an assortment of teas, coffee and milk. We do offer the option of providing you with the ingredients for a self cook full breakfast, if this appeals to you, just let us know. The bedroom and living area is bathed in natural light that changes throughout the day. The bed linens were chosen specifically, made from luxe natural fibres. Expect cool nights and warm days in Spring and Autumn. If you want to turn up the snuggle factor, wrap yourself up in the blankets and throws provided. Local visitors include kookaburras, cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots, currawongs, and a range of water birds. At dawn and dusk it's common to see wallabys bouncing around and in spring, the little joeys trying to master the art of the jump. There is so much wildlife, the longer you sit still, the more you see and hear. If you are feeling slightly active, go for a meander around the lagoons, you can try fishing (although we never catch anything it's just relaxing), walk through the bush trails, do some yoga or have a go at the paddleboard on the dam. So what is there to do during your stay? Not much and that's what we encourage 100%. Some of our guests favourite things to do include reading with a cuppa inside on "ol' purple" (the most comfy reading chair), enjoying a local wine or Farmers Wife Gin on the deck, re-connecting through conversation over board games, seeing animals in any passing clouds or sitting around the firepit at night, listening to all the strange wildlife noises :)
Girvan is 15 mins away from Booral, 25 mins from Stroud and 15 mins from Buladelah. We are, basically, in the middle of nowhere and it's beautiful. We are surrounded by other farms and bush, the loudest thing you will hear is a cow, bird or tractor. Visit Alderleys Creek General Store, Old Inn Road Vineyard, Stroud town.
  • We wanted a quiet getaway for a belated Valentine's. Brooke's farm / bush retreat with its modern tiny house was wonderful in every aspect. Do yourself and your significant other a favour and head up to some green, detoxing quiet and take advantage of this stay. Within striking distance of Sydney or the central coast.

    Mike2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved staying there, it was peaceful and I needed it as my mother has passed away recently and needed space and I would had like to stay more days but I had to go back to work unfortunately. I will be back again, as it is not far from where I live but I feel so far away from the world, which is good for me as I work with lots of people in Community Service and need a balance to escape to recharge and this place is perfect for that...the bulls and birds kept me company and that is all I needed. Funny how animals know.. intuitively how you feel..LOL. The host are very friendly and they respect what your needs and privacy and they welcome you to chat with them for a coffee too.

    Carolyn2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a lovely stay. The cabin is a perfect spot to unwind and escape busy life. We had a little tour of the animals and heard about their plan for sustainable farming - which we’re a big fan of! We especially loved looking up at the stars at night and listening to the wildlife on the property - a peaceful spot to relax. The cabin also had everything we needed to settle in and cook a couple of meals while we were there. We will certainly be returning again soon!

    Sam2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our one night stay at Olen Cabin - and wished we could have stayed longer! The cabin is nothing but adorable! You instantly feel the love Brooke and Laura have put into setting it up. The style with its colours and warm minimalism fits Olen perfectly. Olen's other asset is it's location on Brooke's and Laura's land. You hear nothing but birds and the rooster. The dams with their waterlilies are beautiful to wander around. We enjoyed watching the chickens as well as wild birds from the porch and if you're lucky you might spot kangaroos too. We also met the resident 'wild' horse, Janoss, and Brooke's and Laura's adorable dogs, Boston and Whoopie, as well as Mog, their gorgeous cat. Chatting to both Brooke and Laura about animals, plants, nature, environment, travelling... has been the icing on the cake! We wish them nothing but luck with their endevours! We hope to come back and see their achievements which I am sure they will have!

    Caroline2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke & Laura’s wonderful farm is the most wonderful place to reconnect with nature, from the wild horse who has come to stay, to the birds and delightful dogs. They are both warm and welcoming, putting you at ease straight away - it is like being welcomed home. Their delightful time home is open, bright and instantly relaxing, looking out onto greenery and life. Full of little touches, we felt instantly at home. Knowing they are working together to regenerate the land is an added touch that makes it even more special. We can’t wait to come back.

    Shane2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a beautiful stay at Brooke and Laura's cabin with my parter The tiny house is so beautiful and well maintained! A lot of thoughtful attentions in the fridge for us and everything to make us feel home and enjoy our stay: it is furnished with style and filled with everything you d need to be autonomous Surrounded by nature and beautiful landscape, it is the perfect little spot to re-energise and chill , listen to the wildlife and appreciate the calm and beauty Thanks girls and best of luck with your environmental projects

    Marianne2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Brooke and Laura were amazing! So welcoming and happy to show us around their property. They also were very respectful of our privacy and gave us plenty of space. The space was super clean and furnished with style. We love their plans for the property and we are looking forward to coming back!

    Connie2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough about how awesome this place is! My partner and I wished to get away from civilisation and to stay somewhere nice and peaceful, we certainly weren't disappointed. The cabin we stayed at is beautiful and has all of the necessary features to ensure that you're comfortable. We loved walking around the grounds checking out the different animals and processes that the up and coming farm is starting to introduce. The hosts Brooke and Laura are fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed. They were more than happy to answer any questions that we had and advised us on all of the places of note around Girvan and even some history about the region. We highly recommend you give them a visit! PS: Make sure you order the breakfast pack when you stay, its full of locally sourced foods and even eggs from the ladies chicken coop.

  • Our stay at Glenn’s place was amazing, we loved every minute of it. Great place to escape and relax while still being close enough to the surrounding beaches. Glenn was extremely helpful with everything and was a great host. Was also great having his dog “pinch” check up on us every so often, we miss her already! We would recommend Glenn’s place to everyone and we would love to get back there again soon

  • Such a relaxing stay in a beautiful location! The cabin was cosy and clean and had a beautiful view. Lovely!

    Anna2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is just wonderful - a relatively short drive from sydney and perfect for a weekend away any time of the year thanks to its incredible amenities - comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, and all the mod cons. What’s most amazing is the view and location. It’s a beautiful view and the landscape around bulledelah and Markwell is beautiful and serene. Lisa was an outstanding host from a -z. As it happened we were leaving on a day of a ‘rare weather event’ where nsw experienced the most rain in 20 years. Lisa and her partner Chris went above and beyond to ensure we left the property safely. Thanks so much and we will see you and the chooks soon!

  • A wonderful location and great way to connect back with nature. My husband and I had a great time and both are keen bird watchers - definitely recommend as there is prolific bird life here! Cabin was well styled and comfortable, I was impressed with the kitchen and all the utensils - Lisa has been very thoughtful to make the stay east and comfortable and many inclusions were well considered. Welcome to Monkerai! We live on a medium sized farm which occupies its very own little valley, completely surrounded by hills which border the property. Come and stay in our cute little one bedroom cottage for a relaxing farmstay. On our farm we have a little over 100 cattle, and are in the process of establishing a permaculture garden and orchards. There are several kilometres worth of hiking to be done within our property, plus easy access to the lower Barrington Tops and the Monkerai Valley.
The cottage is self-contained with a bathroom and a kitchen. We have done the renovations ourselves, so we like to think there are plenty of nice touches which align with the rest of the property. Not exactly fancy, but definitely practical and cosy.
The Monkerai Valley is a quite and picturesque place, with plenty of swimming holes in the Karuah River. We like to go cycling on the dirt roads throughout the valley, riding loops of anything from 20-50km with virtually no traffic.

Review from recent guest Ben and Judy Stayed October 2018*********** We love to stay in this turn of the century house which has a lovely old world feel about it with all the trimmings of a modern home too!!Comfy leather couch ,great cooking facilities, games and wonderful selection of DVDs to watch on the generous modern LCD screen. There are the comfy double beds with a LCD TV in every room and bunks for children. The period home has a breezy balmy aspect and with only a short 2 minute stroll to the picturesque tranquil mangroves with abundant bird and wildlife, where we watch dolphins roll and play in the deep green cool river water. And then of course one of the definite highlights of the property is the deck, which raps around the house and makes for spots of private relaxation in the hammocks.  Its now new generous expanse of extra hardwood decking stretching out below the bungalow palms  where we lounge away in comfort on the generous comfy out door cane lounges or just sit and enjoy a drink or an evening meal of fresh local fish. We have stayed in many different rental properties in Hawkes Nest and Tea Gardens over the past 20 years but none of them surpass or equal the charm and grace or history of this beautiful grand old lady which is our favourite place to holiday.Merry Christmas to you Sam and all the staff at Tea Gardens Real Estate and thank you for looking after us on our holidays this year.  All the best for 2019

On Saturday mornings the local growers market at the CWA building is an ideal place to buy cheap, fresh, locally grown produce including sourdough and pastries from Fosterton Biodynamic Farm.
  • Carawirry has to be one of the most amazing Airbnb's i've stayed in. Set in a very quiet and private location with endless forests and waterways to explore it was a perfect opportunity to switch off and forget the real world for a while. Little touches like hand drawn maps with advice on what walks to take totally made the trip worthwhile and anyone who is second guessing booking at Carawirry stop thinking about it and lock it in while you can. Hearing the creek run in the background with an abundance of wildlife when you wake up of a morning and lighting a fire in your room is a real treat. Thanks so much for having us, wish we had been able to stay longer!

  • The Gum Leaf Cabin was a perfect place to give my partner a birthday to remember. We couldn’t believe how tame “Skip” the Wallaroo was. We stayed 2 nights and had 2 visits from her. The interior design is beautifully done and the amenities were accurate to the lovely pictures. Heather was also a pleasure to speak with. Thank you so much!

    Charlie2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant amneties, value and a perfect location right in the middle of a wildlife reserve. Expect visits from kangaroos, possums and other friendly natives. The outdoor bath is the perfect touch!

    Stefan2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is unbelievable. Such a luxurious bush cabin getaway. Heather has thought of everything you could possibly need to have a perfect break from the city. It’s so quiet and the cabin is cozy warm with the fire going and there are special little touches everywhere to make your stay truly seamless.... from tea, coffee, bath salts, candles and a very well equipped kitchen and big bbq. You name it, it’s there. (Including a very friendly wallaby!) Take my word and bring a heap of food, turn off your phone and book more time than you think!! You absolutely will not want to leave. Best mini break I’ve ever had.

    Rhiane2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this Airbnb experience was perfect - communication, value, cleanliness, amenities... from the cosy fire already burning, high quality appliances, bedding and fittings, magical location and spotless cabin - to the thoughtful touches like pre-dried kindling for the fire, coffee pods, torches, maps for bushwalking etc. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return! Thanks Heather.

  • A very special place to stay! The forest is beautiful, quiet and full of wonderful flora and fauna. The cabin sits sympathetically within it but really gives luxurious retreat too! The rain showers are a real treat. The cherry on the top are the wild yet friendly kookaburras and wallaroo you get to feed and interact with. Cannot recommend staying more!

  • Cath’s place is idyllic. I stopped over for the night, part way through a long drive and it was the perfect place to rest. Cath was welcoming, interested and interesting. She makes for great company but also let me get on and do my thing. I appreciated the thoughtful touches all around the house - blankets to curl up with, a range of pillows to choose from, outdoor lamps, private courtyards, homemade soaps and a stellar home cooked meal (seriously!) - and the fact that my dog was welcome to stay with me was the biggest bonus of all. It felt like home. Thanks so much Cath, I’ll be back for sure.

When is the last time you had a secluded spa, under stars in the bush? Or did the dishes with a perfectly private view into the vineyard? Nah, there’ll be no doing the dishes .. there’s a dishwasher. No clammy sweating .. there’s ducted air conditioning. No shivering .. there’s an internal wood fire, for outside your own fire pit. Wood supplied-you work the axe. No chlorinated swim pool .. there’s a pristine creek. And much more ..

  • Beautiful place to switch off and relax. We wanted to get out of Sydney for a couple of days and after 2 serene nights, felt like we’d been on holiday for weeks. Sitting in the tub under the stars surrounded by the sounds of nature really was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. Helen was a great host and we loved the special touches of brekkie in the fridge, the delicious wine and coffee machine. Stroud has some cute shops (make sure you go to the antique shop and cafe!) and we also love Dungog which is nearby. Big walks are a little further out but this is the ideal place if you want to chill out and relax. Thanks Helen!

  • Mill Pond cabin is the perfect getaway for couples who are looking for a few nights away from reality. With the drive through the vineyards and with cows and endless farmland to view, there’s nothing else that you could want! With a complementary bottle of wine and some brekkie, we felt right at home. We met up with Helen who lives not too far from the cabin and had a lovely talk with her and her two lovely dogs. Would definitely return and stay even longer. :)

  • We had a great stay at Mill Pond, so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage has everything you need and more, the highlight definitely being the hot tub where you can sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings with a glass of wine. Highly recommend!

  • Amazing place! Hot tub was awesome and Helen’s small touches went above and beyond. Can’t recommend her place enough.
