I can not say enough about this place and it’s hosts!! We felt at home within the first two minutes of being there, Lee and Laura are so warm and welcoming. The suite feels like a cottage to yourself, big but cozy. The amenities go beyond a hotel, they have thought of everything to make it an enjoyable experience. We went there for my girlfriend’s birthday and this will be a weekend we will never forget. Highly recommend the spa package, it takes this already surreal experience to the next level. This is a beautiful place in a hidden spot in the Litchfield Hills. Lee and Lauren were great hosts and took good care of us. The views from their house are splendid and all facilities spot on. It's a short drive to restaurant/bars/cafes, so keep that in mind when coming here. We loved it and can only recommend their place!

The only drawback was that there was some noise at night since the house is on the main road, but we knew that going into the stay since other people had written the same thing. Alice was very accommodating. Everything that was listed is as it says. The location is 5 minutes away from stores and restaurants. Last we checked, the fireplace was not operable, but no other issues!! Please be advised what your checkout time is. The family was a little behind on check out and the cleaning lady will show up with a very unhappy look if you are not out promptly by checkout time. Other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend Alice’s home!

Waking up and being able to see and hear the river was so peaceful. The space was tidy, stylish, and comfortable.

Stayed at Srividya’s place for a quick night for an event 15 minutes away. Was able to come in at night and not feel like we were bothering anyone as the rented space is a private room with a private entrance around the back of the house. As it was a quick stay the things that were important to me was just that it was easy to get in and just fall asleep, nice bed and a beautiful, clean, large bathroom. The price was incredibly reasonable for such a nice stay, and I’d highly recommend it for anyway staying in the area.

Ambers place is perfectly located close to restaurants and the Warner Theatre ( our reason for trip) so three minutes away was awesome! It’s, sweet, beautiful and SPOTLESS... Also, extra attention is given to her guests needs and preferences. Communication pronto! Very comfortable and cozy in Winter too, with pretty view of snow covered premises. Bravo Amber!

What a wonderful place to stay! So much more than I expected. I was so comfortable and relaxed while at Teresa's, I only wished I could have stayed longer. Teresa was so kind and thoughtful. I was in the area for a job interview and she wished me good luck the morning of my interview which was so kind and meant so much. I would absolutely stay here again.

Teresa and her friendly family host a large and tastefully appointed bedroom with spacious, private bath set up two short flights of stairs. When the cute dogs are around, they are a blustery but friendly welcoming committee.

Extremely clean, great communication, and comfortable..

The homeowner is very good. We have set aside for 19 days. For personal reasons, we only stayed for 2 days. The homeowner refunded all the money of our other days and also introduced us to a lot of places nearby. Her family is also very good. Her son is watching us. A lot of luggage also took the initiative to help us

Teresa's place is a hidden gem off of the beaten path. She is quick to comunicate with her guests. We stayed in the suite because Teresa was kind enough to allow us to upgrade last minute. Wanting to get away for a weekend off Long Island, we stumbled upon Teresa's beautiful home. The house was great with all the amenities that they offered, the land beautiful. Teresa is an amazing host and her space is beautiful and easy to fine. She was beyond accommodating when my girlfriend and I kept running late to check in. We were shooting our first wedding as a business together and Teresa being so kind and flexible took a lot off of our mind. Her space is amazing highlighted by stone work by Carlos who hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to meet! Everything was clean, organized, and had great personal touches all over the place. My only regret was that we weren’t able to spend more time there because we ran so late. I definitely would recommend staying here.

I had a wonderful stay at Martha and Jay’s home. It was exactly what I was looking for with quintessential New England charm. The house is quite spacious and I felt right at home with a beautiful kitchen ( love the heated vent under sink) and elegant dining room. The linens were top notch and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area.

The West End Room is a perfect location for a delightful get-away. The room was clean and comfortable and the hosts are very accommodating. We recommend this location to anyone who may be interested in the New Hartford, Connecticut area.

My sister and I had a very pleasant weekend stay at Martha's and Jay's Airbnb. They were both warm and friendly, and the accommodations were very comfortable. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious, and we had access to a full kitchen with all the amenities. The location was convenient too, a short walk to the center of West Hartford and the river running alongside the town. All in all, a great experience!

This place is clean, comfortable and quiet. It is in a great location and has beautiful views of the lake nestled in the hills around it. A lot of natural light comes through the many windows and skylight. Ray is an excellent host and he is prompt with responding to your communication. You will not be disappointed!

The photos don’t do it justice! It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed - plenty of room, comfortable, amazing views, tons of boats and paddle boards and beach towels to use. Everything you need for a beautiful time on a beautiful lake. The patio furniture in back was perfect and comfortable. My 94-year old gramma was able to enjoy the sunroom and watch us out on the lake without having to go up or down stairs. A really great time!!!

Alena’s house is fantastic. The home is very cozy and feels very zen like with Himalayan salt lamps and indoor plants. The cats are Hoth very social and we had a great time playing with them with the laser pointer. The house is situated about half an hour from Hartford and the drive is very easy. I would highly recommend staying here; Alena is also very accommodating as she allowed us to use her kitchen and shoveled the driveway (we had a snow storm) for us to leave the next morning.

Alena's place is calm, clean, and comfortable. It's out in the countryside, but just a short drive to shops and restaurants. Her cats will keep you entertained in the absence of television...be sure to have your device or a book or both if you'll be spending time at the house.

The cottage is situated next to the quiet forest community, and the traffic is very convenient if you drive. Hiking is convenient, there are several beautiful trails very close, restaurants and shopping areas are not far too, just within 20 minutes of driving, you The house is very good, makes the actual space is much larger than the photo, rooms has been re-painted recently, and it is very clean. You can find that the owner is very attentive, the interior Decoration is like sweet and harmony. Alena is a friendly and enthusiastic owner of the house, during the days we get along very happily. Their two kittens are friendly too, and soon become our friends :). It's a very pleasant experience. I' Ll come again next time . A cosy cottage, situated next to a quiet forest community, with easy access when driving. If you go to Hiking, it's a good time. There are several beautiful Trails next to it, not far from the restaurant and commercial area. You can reach several town centres in less than 20 minutes by car. The design of the house is very good. The actual space is much larger than the space seen in the photo. The house has been painted and the sanitation is very good. It can be seen that the owner is very attentive and the interior decoration is very warm. It must be stated that Alena is a friendly and enthusiastic house owner, we are very happy with each other, the two kittens in their family are also friendly, and we soon became friends :). A very enjoyable experience, I will definitely come back next time.

We had an amazing time staying at Kristen’s house! Plenty of space (for reference we had 4 adults and 1 toddler). Very safe for small children and sparkling clean. My mom kept remarking on how nice the cookware is and how well appointed the kitchen is. We also loved being able to walk into town along the water. We highly recommend Kristen’s place!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Heather's farm! The place was well-equipped, spacious yet cozy, immaculately clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable! Despite the weather being on the cold side, we loved exploring the farm, feeding the animals and enjoying the farm fresh eggs! We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed Torrington (the Ritz Crystal room speakeasy restaurant was amazing, as was the Pursue the Clues escape room!) and had the opportunity to tackle a couple of short local hikes when the weather warmed up. We'll definitely be back in summer to see what else the local area has to offer!

The entire stay my family and I continued to find hidden gems! From the charming touches of the home to the friendliness of the people around. The place was cozy, warm, and inviting but felt rich with experience, style and accommodation. The best part was that our kids were able to enjoy the atmosphere inside and outside of the barn. Extra points for having an oven with cooking supplies as it helps to save on eating out expenses - super close to all stores needed if you’re extending your stay!

Heathers home was beautiful! The lake house is truly a cozy getaway. My friends and I did a wine tour of the CT wine trail and this was the perfect location with ample of room to hang out around the big dining room table. Many memories were made and laughs were had at that table and in that home. We would definitely recommend this home!!

We stayed in this house during the new year and had a great time! The house is large spacious and the property is gorgeous! We usually rent homes for the weekend in the poconos and decided to give CT a chance. It was great! We would love to return in the summer when it’s warm. The host was very kind and helpful during our stay. The community the home is in is also great because everything is so easily accessible and within a 5-10 minute drive.

Beautiful New England Farm setting!

I would highly recommend this house! My friends and I loved being right next to the goats and the duck. We walked around the pond to visit the donkeys, little horse and bull, as well as up to the little antique shop and ice cream shop. We spent most of our time drinking wine and playing games around the huge dining room table, but also loved having the full size kitchen, back porch and private dock with kayak and paddle boards. The beds and pillows are so comfortable, too! Although the hosts and family live on the property, we felt like we had complete privacy and felt completely welcome to go explore the beautiful farm. I would definitely keep this house in mind for future gatherings. Thank you Heather and AJ!

Wonderful getaway! This is one of the best AirBNBs we've stayed at. There's so much to say. First, the apartment is so charming and bustling with pre-war appeal. The kitchen alone is worth the trip (tons of sunlight and spectacular views). It's fully equipped to cook or bake anything (nice gas stove/oven, lots of baking equipment, pots, pans, etc.). The WiFi is strong and complete, the coffee maker is solid, and there's lots of outdoor space. Town is very close. Tons of state forests, nature, lots of gorgeous lakes and hiking trails are about 20 minutes away. I highly recommend this AirBNB especially if you're looking for a getaway from the big city and like to cook. And definitely check out downtown Winsted. We shopped for antiques and ate at the good restaurants close by!

Our weekend retreat was just what we needed… a quiet, relaxing getaway. Cheryl and Bruce were very friendly, gave us a great initial tour and were available if we needed anything. The apartment over their garage is private, well equipped and cozy, with a great view of the river. We were there on the two hottest days of the summer and the air conditioner worked just fine. Cheryl and Bruce have a huge property, a beautifully landscaped yard with a lot of river frontage, and it’s set up for maximum relaxation. For us, the stay was perfect.

Before our long weekend was over we were already planning our next stay in Amanda’s country home. The house is spacious with open views to the property and surrounding hillsides. The kitchen is ideal if you like to cook. Each room is beautifully and comfortably furnished. We were just two, but the home is ideal for a family or couples. You’ll love the big dining table and open kitchen. If you like to hike the location is perfect. A town managed trail with vistas is literally down the road. Others are just a short drive away. Since we were there during the winter we enjoyed use of the fireplace, and settled in to cozy and warm nights. We want to visit again during the warmer months to take advantage of the vast deck on the backside of the house overlooking the property. The internet connectivity is strong all around the house.

Sophie’s place was lovely! Very homey and comfortable. Easy access and very cute. She made it easy for us to find everything we needed in the home :). She responded to any questions we had very quickly and her place had everything we needed to make ourselves at home!

We had a large group stay at Sophie's home over the New Years holiday. We found the house to be very inviting and able to accommodate our group. The house is rustic in many ways, but had all the conveniences we needed. Large open kitchen, comfortable beds, and close to many outdoor activities. The town of Collinsville is quite small, but has a great pizza place, bars, and walking trails. It was only a few streets away to get to main st. Sophie was detailed in her communication and very quick to reply. She left all info we needed and recommendations for things to do during our winter stay. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing home in a small town, this is it.

We had a wonderful experience. All necessary information was provided well beforehand and the materials left for us upon arrival were very thorough. Also excellent was all the information about the local area and her descriptions of a couple favorite walks. Excellent cooking utensils, pans, etc. We cooked a lot and found everything we needed. The fire place and outdoor fire pit were also a huge hit for us - we spent most of christmas afternoon outdoors with a fire, roasting oysters. My family all felt it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have had. If not outdoors we spent all our time in the kitchen/den space.

This house was the perfect spot for our Friendsgiving. It's something special - filled with warmth and simple elegance. The kitchen and living room are open concept, so we could sit around the coffee table and cook and all be together. It was convenient enough to get to via public transportation to Hartford, where we then shuttled people back and forth to the house. The quaint mill town is a short walk down the hill, and has bars, restaurants, and a really great historical museum. Sophie had everything we needed and easy-to-follow instructions, and even a bottle of wine to welcome us!

What a charming home! My friend and I were looking for a meeting place in between NYC and Boston and this place delivered. The house was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, close to shops and restaurants but still felt a bit removed, and literally right on the lake. Communication was great and check in was super easy. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. We are already talking about going back again.

My partner and I truly enjoyed our stay at this home. Not only were the hosts responsive and accommodating to whatever we needed, but the house and the location exceeded our expectations. This place is what one would consider “a home away from home.” It was clean, welcoming, and supplied with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay. We didn’t want to leave! We had such a lovely week at Lake Harwinton. This gorgeous little house was exactly what we needed to unwind and relax. The outlook over the lake was just devine. Absolutely spectacular when it snowed. The included facilities are fantastic. We had everything we needed. A TV with Netflix etc, cooking utensils and some spices and oil etc, cleaning supplies, first aid, bathroom supplies, laundry facilities, extra blankets and towels and even a snow shovel which I was so thrilled to have to use! It was all perfect. We felt like we lived there and didn’t want to have to pack up to leave. Denise and Lawrence were excellent hosts - flexible and caring. We will definitely be back. I’d love to see the lake in Autumn (Fall).

Mon Reve was truly magical. My significant other and I spent the weekend here for our anniversary and had an amazing time. We had great weather visiting in October and spent most of the time on the back deck looking out over the lake. Denise and Lawrence answered all of our questions from how to use the speakers on the back patio to setting up a fire in the fire pit by the lake. We loved the small touches of the place that made it so welcoming and the hospitality of our hosts that made us sure we’d have to stay here again sometime. Definitely a one of a kind home to stay at.

It's hard to put into words how perfectly wonderful this AirBnB experience was. First, the apartment: Huge. Colorful. Comfortable. Clean. Artwork and antiques everywhere. Fresh-cut flowers in vases and gorgeous green plants. Cashews and raisins to welcome us and cold water bottles in the fridge. Crisp white sheets. Hand-painted flowers on the kitchen cabinets. Nice-sized bathroom with excellent water pressure/temperature. And then where was John, the owner, who could not possibly have been more welcoming, communicative, helpful with local tips, or genuinely excited about my girlfriend's and my reunion there at his home after 18 years of not seeing each other. This is what AirBnB is about, in every sense. Stay here.

The accomodations were fantastic and we had a phenomenal time. Karen was a wonderful host and I can't wait to go back and spend more time on the Farmington

Karen's place is 5 stars all the way. The room and ensuite bath were spacious, clean, and beautifully laid out, with a serene view of the river on one side and front yard on the other. A fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were conveniently placed in the room, as well as some granola bars for snacks. The skylight in the bathroom let in gorgeous light, so the light switches were not needed during the day. The bedroom has lamps throughout and can be as well lit or not as needed. Karen also provided a little space heater in case it got cold, as well as a fan for warmer weather. There's a ceiling fan controlled by remote control too. I especially enjoyed the sitting area by the window and spent a few wonderful hours into the night just sitting in the comfy armchair reading. To my delight, the sweet family dog, Bailey, kept me company and is the most loving and gentle of creatures. I miss her already! I hope to be back at Karen's place the next time I'm in the area.

Karen and David are exceptionally kind and laid-back hosts, and their home is beautiful! Everything about my stay was extremely enjoyable. My room with private bath was like a little refuge. A great base from which to explore this beautiful area (and, in my case, the fly fishing).

Beautiful, peaceful, and so comfortable. Bailey is a wonderful host dog who greeted us warmly with our labradoodle. Karen and David (the human hosts) are thoughtful, engaging, and made us feel at home. This is one of my favorite Air BnB experiences.

Staying with Karen was great. The room and attached bathroom were spacious, clean and private (despite being in a home shared with Karen and her family). Karen was responsive, welcoming and easy-going. It was a perfectly convenient stay for a nearby wedding.

This is a beautiful, spacious home in a most peaceful and picturesque setting. A lovely river runs along the back yard and eating breakfast outside is pretty much perfect. As well, for dog lovers and even those not big fans of pooches, Bailey, the family dog, is as sweet as they come. We'd love to come back one day!

Great place to enjoy these beautiful surroundings. Definitely recommend.
