Places to stay in New Lebanon

Places to stay in New Lebanon
The oldest house in town, fully renovated. Beautiful two-story living room with leafy, private back deck for meals outside. Kitchen with stone counters, gas cook top, and dishwasher; two bathrooms with warm floors. Floorboards upstairs a foot wide; queen size bed with view over the trees, creek and porch.
It's a roomy red sawmill that's 260 years old. There is wonderful light from windows set high and low. It's located across the garden from the big grist mill where we live, on two acres of beautiful gardens, creek and woods. Our location is in New York, right on the border of the Berkshires, in a perfect position to fan out for destinations north and south. You're just 20 minutes away from Tanglewood, Kripalu Yoga Center and Jiminy Peak Ski. We're a great hub, but please make sure that you like our location and love the great value it offers before you book. The base price is for two people, and we don't charge a cleaning fee. The only other charge is for an extra person or two (except for kids little enough to be in a crib).
New Lebanon, at the top of Columbia County, New York, is a pretty funky town, not a Norman Rockwell town. Many people drive right through it to go north for antiquing or skiing, to take the scenic pass into Massachusetts or to pick up the nearby NY thruway. Our town is so small that there's only one stoplight, and that's a blinking one. There's no night life to speak of, no sidewalks, and we lack a big grocery store. The upside is that our site right next to the Berkshires is what makes the old sawmill such a good value, and so good for exploring. You can get easily to almost all the places you want to go-- more easily, we find, than from some of the Berkshire towns themselves. And whatever New Lebanon lacks in picket fences, it offers in glorious hillside viewscapes. The town has a remarkable allotment of Shaker history, such as the massive square ruins of the Great Stone Barn at Mount Lebanon. This was recognized by the World Monuments Fund as one of the 100 most significant endangered sites in the world, and it's right here and easy to visit. Lebanon Springs was also utterly famous in the nineteenth century for its warm water spa, frequented by luminaries like Charles Dickens, Mark Twain and the Marquis de Lafayette. The medicinal spring still courses down the hillside, but in obscurity now. There is plenty to enjoy here. Stop at Blueberry Hill Market Cafe for coffee and something delicious for breakfast or lunch. Try M&M's for a late dinner of burgers, wings, and some craft beer, or reserve at Mario's for a fancy meal. Trek by the beaver dams at Hand Hollow Conservation Area. Go to Meissner's on a Saturday at 4 for their antique auctions, where we've found astonishing values. You'll find a lot of information about local options in our online Guidebook. Our location turns out to be an excellent base for the range of travel and exploration in this area, or just for staying put and enjoying a rural escape, as so many of our airbnb guests have told us.
  • The saw mill is a lovely getaway and Joe and Fiona are terrific, thoughtful and kind hosts. Will 100% be coming back

    Mikhail2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • My third stay at the Sawmill. I seem to keep returning here, and for a good reason!

    Tomasz2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • One in a million chance to stay in an historic treasure! The mill was the perfect getaway- spacious and cozy, rustic and modern at the same time. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and the beautiful heated floors! Our hosts, Joe and Fiona, were friendly and welcoming. Absolutely a great place to stay!

    Catherine2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • One of THE best experiences we have had! The saw mill was warm and cozy throughout our stay (despite the frigid weather) and we had a wonderful long weekend exploring the various places and areas Joe made note of. Every amenity was provided for us and then some! Joe was super responsive when we managed to accidentally lock ourselves out - and our stay was nothing short of spectacular. If we could give more than 5 stars we would! Highly recommend!

    Amy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This would be my third stay with Joe, Fiona, and Tegan. They are all wonderful hosts and respond quickly to any questions or concerns. I’m likely to return in the spring for another stay with my daughter!

    Doreen2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our entire experience from booking to check out was seamless. Fiona and Joe were fabulous hosts—there were so many thoughtful, personal touches. We absolutely adored the saw mill. The heated floors in the bathrooms were such a nice and unexpected touch. Their suggestions for things to do around town were fantastic. We had an excellent time hiking Hand Hollow, attending the local auction at Meissner’s on Saturday, and eating at M&M Friday night and Blueberry Hill for breakfast Saturday. We can’t wait to come back!

    Jessica2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The sawmill is charming and well-appointed. We loved the spacious kitchen, the cozy showers with heated floors, and the views of the woods and creek. Our hosts were very attentive.

    Madi2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The sawmill is an excellent place to stay--one of the nicest places we've stayed at with Airbnb. Very comfortable bed. Warm and cozy space, even on cold winter nights. Heated floors in the bathroom and kitchen were amazing. Very charming and attractive interiors--nice and bright, too. The kitchen is very thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need during a short stay. Joe and Fiona are wonderful hosts who took the time to introduce us to the place and chat with us about the best options for our weekend visit. We plan to go back and stay there in the summer!

  • Paul’s cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway. The interior looks just like the pictures and the place was spotless. Paul was also very accommodating and responsive whenever I had questions. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you.

    Jamal2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was a quiet, cozy retreat in the middle of town with the feeling of off the beaten path. The board games and space heaters really gave it that camp feel. We loved our stay!

Visit Tanglewood, Kripalu, Jacobs Pillow, Jiminy Peak, Bousquet Mountain, Lebanon Valley Speedway, Albany, Pittsfield, Lenox... go for a hike, ski, visit Furnace Brook Winery or just relax on our property and unwind.
*****Our family host a haunted trail during October on Friday and Saturday nights! We have decorations up. Nobody is around during the week except for my family and guest, so it's pretty quiet .******** First in 1834, our house was a carriage house (with horse parlor) that was set behind the grand house unfortunately lost in a fire. Our house mostly survived the fire, was beautifully restored and has been used for several things....including an Inn, a restaurant and legend has it as being a Jin Joint during prohibition and used as a gangster hideaway,. It has also been a gambling house, roadhouse and in 1939 was raided by the Feds who seized $10,000 worth of gambling equipment. Rumor has it that it was possibly a stop for the Underground Railroad. In more recent years it was known as the Pillars Restaurant. The restaurant is now closed and We have turned it into our home. Large enough for weddings and gatherings. (Ask for details) 7 acres to checkout including a small stream. Plenty of paved parking.
Private and Quiet but close to New Lebanon Speedway and Skiing....Check out Jiminy Peak Ski and Mountain Adventure, or Bousquet Ski area. We are 13 minutes to Pittsfield Ma. About 35 minutes to Albany, 10 minutes to Furnace Brook Winery at Hilltop Orchards, 25 minutes to Tangelwood and Kripalu. There is also good fishing, hunting and hiking close to our home or just a chance to relax on this beautiful, historic property.
  • Steve was an excellent host! He was really communicative and helpful.

    Justin2020-01-05T00:00:00Z

  • My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and we had a great experience! It's a very cozy and cool space, and the fireplace is definitely a big plus. It is very worth it for the price and we would highly recommend it to others!

The space has a queen bed, sleeper sofa, kitchen area with fridge, sink, oven, stove, microwave, coffee pot and coffee, toaster, and cooking essentials. • Everything was perfect at The Red Barn! Big thanks to Stacy and Andy for letting us stay in their BEAUTIFUL home and for the little treats they left. The view was stunning, the room was perfect, couldn’t have asked for anything better.

    Kelcie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Stacy's barn. It was exactly what we were looking for and Stacy was an ideal host. She obviously really aimed to make sure we had everything we needed, left us orange juice, and was available to help if anything came up. The space and property are absolutely lovely. If you're planning to do computer work, note that wifi is slow (it is a barn in the Berkshires, after all); checking email is totally doable but streaming netflix or working on google docs could be a challenge. I definitely look forward to coming back for another get-away!

    Sean2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Phenomenal stay at Stacy's place. Stacy was incredibly responsive and helpful. Wonderful barn space, very unique experience staying under the beamed room. Very romantic experience. Lovely touches like the maple syrup and great kitchen amenities. Explored the Berkshires by doing a few hikes - Cascade waterfall in North Adams (frozen in Jan), and Stevens Glen trail (20 mins drive), and went walking on the frozen lake nearby - Lake Ornota. Would come back in an instant.

    Zaamin2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • As advertised. We had a great stay!

    Joost2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed. The pictures cannot do it justice: this is an absolutely lovely barn, with everything you could possibly need for a great weekend away. Incredible mountain views surround. Every possible kitchen tool, pan, dish you could need. Simple to get to. And Stacy and Andy are the kindest hosts around. Just stay here already!

    Josh2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Red Barn was the perfect rustic weekend getaway. My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for his birthday, and it was everything we were looking for. Stacy is an amazing host, and you can tell she put a lot of thought in to the space. She even left muffins and home made maple syrup which we enjoyed for breakfast! She left a very nice list of recommendations for restaurants and groceries. We did a little bit of traveling but everything is pretty close by. Whether you want to explore the Berkshires or Upstate NY, this is the perfect getaway!

    Nicole2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was the perfect Thanksgiving getaway for us. The space has everything you'll need - the kitchen is particularly well-equipped - for a quiet and cozy stay. Little touches like local maple syrup added to the charm.

    Derek2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect cozy getaway perfect for two. Thoughtful personal touches including local recommendations a few items in the kitchen to tide us over, everything we needed to cook, products in the bathrooms, and a well appointed studio space with all the comforts we could have needed. Truly the best place to escape the city and enjoy some quiet and relative solitude.

  • Margaret’s place was perfect for our large group on a winter retreat. The space was certainly ample and the beds were comfortable. We loved having the hot tub and pool table available when we were hanging out in the space. Margaret also had outstanding recommendations on local hikes. There were plenty of spare towels and easy access to laundry as well. If you have a large group of people, I would definitely recommend this space.

    Colby2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was amazing. Perfect place for a large group of people. There was plenty of space for everyone and had a bonus of two kitchens. This came in handy...who knew. :) Really close to the local mountain for skiing/snow tubing. Our group had a great time and will certainly be back.

  • I highly recommend Louis' place! My family of five (plus our dog) loved ever minute of our time there. We enjoyed mornings in the ample kitchen, as well as the stunning views from the living room's floor to ceiling windows. The house is situated on a vast and beautiful property that includes a mountain stream and a hiking trail that leads to a nature preserve. The house itself is extremely clean, warm, cozy and includes a number of ultra-modern amenities. Overall, it's a lovely combination of historical charm and contemporary convenience. You're also minutes away from the Berkshires, Green Mountains, museums, art galleries, restaurants and shops. Louis was super helpful, attentive, and informative. He provided wonderful tips for discovering the natural beauty that abounds in the area. I couldn't have asked for a better place to explore the woods, mountains, restaurants and galleries. It was a truly wonderful getaway for my family.

    Kerry2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Louis is a great host and his house and property are gorgeous. It’s absolutely perfect for folks with dogs or kids because the energy demons can free range without ever getting uncomfortably out of contact. The trails and towns nearby are all worth exploring. Louis is clear about his extremely reasonable house rules and makes it clear that he’s available while giving guests their space. The house itself is perfectly clean and very prettily turned down when you arrive. We spent half our time fantasizing about coming back.

    Raymond2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, peaceful home and property to spend a few nights on our way home to Ohio from Maine with our dog. Everything as pictured, very private and quiet on a private road, we never left the property for 36 hours. Louis is an excellent communicator and responds quickly when prompted. This is my second stay and plan for future stays at Louis' home.

    Lindsay2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a fun, beautiful country house! It's an old home with lots of quirks and character, located on a massive property. We enjoyed romping through the fields with our dog, making a fire in the fire pit at night, and hiking some of the local trails (thanks to Louis's great recommendations). Louis is a prompt and helpful communicator. Highly recommended!

    Greg2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Louis's house and exploring his huge property and the adjoining conservation area. The fire pit was a favorite nightly gathering spot and our dog enjoyed his time so much sniffing out critters and running free in the fields. Truly remote, quiet, and peaceful, we hope to be back soon!

The Writer's Cottage is a tiny white house on a country road; vintage, complete, and inspiring. Built in the nineteenth century, it's perfect for a solo traveler or a pair of travelers exploring the Berkshires and the Hudson Valley. If you like rustic buildings, you'll be a fan of the cottage; it's an incredibly cozy time warp. Find an airy loft up narrow enclosed stairs, but everything you need to be comfortable is right on the first floor. Enjoy the orchard outside and an acre of lawn.
Our location is in New York, right on the border of the Berkshires hills, in the perfect position to fan out for destinations north and south. You're just 20 minutes away from Tanglewood, Kripalu Yoga Center and Jiminy Peak Ski. We're a great hub, but please make sure that you like our location and love the great value it offers before you book. The base price is for two people, and we don't have a cleaning fee. The only other charge we have is $15 for each additional person (except for kids little enough to be in a crib). For its small size, the cottage has several discrete spaces. Downstairs is a bedroom with a queen size bed and two cozy chairs. A well-equipped kitchenette has a shiplap vaulted ceiling and a round table that seats four, plus an ample mudroom for jackets, skis, boots and fishing poles. A writing room is just big enough for a cozy sofa and a desk, with a view of the orchard. The sofa can open up into a comfortable single bed, good for either an adult or a child. This room is also a good place to put a crib. There's a narrow bathroom next door. Up an amazing tiny enclosed staircase is an open loft space perfect for meditation, music, reading, privacy, or painting. You'll find work tables, a rocking chair and a yoga mat there. The loft could be an extra place to sleep too. We can put a double air mattress on a bed frame there at your request, if you're willing to navigate those steep stairs with care at night. Note that the stairs lead right into the downstairs bedroom, which may be a privacy issue for some. This is an ideal spot for a weekend respite from the city, or as a base to explore the area. It calls to people working on creative projects, or those looking for a longer hiatus. It has all the important amenities, like good cell service, light, and dedicated wireless internet. There's a washer/dryer too. The Writer's Cottage offers quality linens with a supply of pillows, duvet, blanket and coverlet for your bed. The shower may be narrow, but it's well equipped with a broad choice of shampoos, conditioners and and soaps. In the kitchen you'll find good china and glassware, as well as a quality supply of cookware and equipment. There are coffees and teas available, as well as olive oil, vinegars and spices, but no dishwasher... and no tv! Note that the doorways are narrow and the upper loft space is only six feet tall. But there's lots of old wood and so much charm. Relax on deck chairs or the hammock out back, on the porch out front, or set up lunch at the big round iron table and chairs on the grassy acre outside the back door. Some more features: even in midsummer, this area offers generally comfortable evening temperatures, but for the occasional night when it's hot, you'll find air conditioning inside. People tell us that they like to know more about how we care for the beds and linens, so here is a little detail. We use sheets with high thread counts and wash them in Seventh Generation natural detergent. Pillows and comforters are down-alternative. We use protective covers for pillows, and encase the bed's mattress and box spring too. If you're here for a short stay, you can find everything you need right on the first floor if you choose. There's a place for hangers on the back of the Writing Room door. For longer stays, there's a chest of drawers and a full-size closet up in the loft.
The Writer's Cottage is a great retreat both in summer and winter, whether you prefer a cozy break or search for culture and action. It's perfectly positioned for taking advantage of the Berkshires, including so much fine music, theater, food, art and natural beauty that you can't possibly do it all justice no matter how hard you try. Tanglewood is about 20 minutes away, and so is the Kripalu Yoga Center. There is a swift, scenic route to get to both of those from here, through pasture and forest, and ending with a wonderful view of the Stockbridge Bowl. In the winter, ski trails at Jiminy Peak or Bousquet are less than a half hour away, and Butternut is just a little farther. Hiking trails and conservancies abound. In the springtime, it's great to see the leafy woods and gardens emerge. It's locavore and farmer's market heaven in the summer and fall. Another summertime treat hidden nearby is Queechy Lake, with lifeguard and sandy shore, one of the cleanest and most delicious lakes in New York state. There's also a nice local park in town, with two newly refurbished tennis courts. Check out our online guidebook for a full listing of the places we love most around here for visit or a meal. There are seven fine art museums, eight theater companies, three Shaker villages and two orchestral venues within an hour's radius. We're a good jumping -off point for visiting the Berkshire towns-- it takes about 20 minutes to get to Lenox, Pittsfield and West Stockbridge in Massachusetts, for example. You're also only about twenty minutes from several other historic towns and villages of New York, such as Old Chatham, Canaan, and Spencertown.
  • This is such a special place in a beautiful location. Tegan Joy is the ultimate hostess--warm and welcoming, with perfect touches for a quiet and comfortable stay. I went seeking solitude and beauty, and had a restful weekend of both, replete with a walk with beautiful views of the berkshire hills. Also lots of lists and options for places to visit and stay--next time I hope to stay longer!

  • This is the second time I've stayed here, and when we come back to the Berkshires I hope it will be available! We love to cook, and the selections and quality of cooking oil, spices (even the salt and pepper is better than most), utensils, pans, etc. is wonderful. Plus a vase of fresh flowers, everything is sparkling clean, a spacious back yard with woods beyond... a lot to love!

    Mirea2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding host and beautiful place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Tegan gave us a bunch of ideas of things to do for the weekend and the overall attention to detail at this cottage was so appreciated. We will definitely be back here!

  • I can’t say enough about this place! It’s the perfect writer’s retreat. It’s quiet, cozy, and has several great nooks to curl up and write in. It had everything I could have possibly needed. It would also be a good place for a couple who wanted to get away and enjoy nature together. I will definitely be staying here again.

    Elizabeth2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! We were unsure if the place was going to be too small but not at all! We had the perfect space for two adults and the little toddler. The apartment was very clean with AMAZING TOUCHES! We found apples, eggs, coffee for us in the fridge! So nice. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need (incl condiments). Bathroom will several body wash, shampoos. Last but not least, our LO had everything he needed: crib&high chair! About location. Same as the mill, perfectly located to discover the Berkshires! Will definitely come back again!

  • Joe's place is very cozy and comfortable, but still roomy. Joe, Fiona and Tegan were all very hospitable with great communication and recommendations. We were grateful to find such a value.

    Kristan2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described! A truly beautiful setting with lovely hosts. Not one complaint!

Shaker Meadows farmhouse and creamery are nestled in 50 acres of land that includes forested mountains, farmland, and a willow-lined pond that feeds into the Shaker Meadows wetlands. The carriage house suite (Willow) is situated in the farm’s 1940s creamery. It has a bedroom (king bed & single bed), bath, full kitchen, spacious dining and living area (sofa bed). NOTE—The carriage house suite (Willow) is currently being lightly renovated and repainted, so will differ slightly from photos. Updated photos will be posted as soon as renovations are complete.

  • My girlfriend and I enjoyed our last minute trip to Carl’s place. We were able to enjoy a quiet and cozy long weekend. His place has all the amenities we needed to cook several meals and be comfortable. We made a day trip to Mount Greylock to do some hiking and took short scenic drive one evening to the nearby town of Lenox to see Edith Wharton’s home. Carl was responsive and gave helpful directions.

  • My dog and I spent the weekend in Spruce suite and we had a great time. The suite was adorable and had a somewhat ski-lodge feel to it. There was lots to do around the area, including a nice hike my dog and I took. It was really nice having the major streaming services already logged in on the tv so I could just see on my phone where I left off. I didn’t need to log in to my own account and therefore didn’t forget to log out when I left. Overall, it was a great stay.

    Leah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for skiing and hanging out! Very clean place and good space for 7 of us. Friendly and fast communication. Great value! The pull out couch was sagging a little at the bottom making it a touch uncomfortable.

  • The apartment was lovely and Carl was quick to respond with any questions.

    Silvan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a nice place to stay- it felt like camping but with all the comfortable amenities. Lots of couches for hanging out and a big comfy bed.

    Brian2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of airy space, air conditioning in living room and bedroom, comfy couches, Roku TV, and charming cottage feel.

  • Nice large unit, with everything you could need. Location was wonderful. Would a book this again.

    Christine2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage-like suite with lots of games and books, perfect for relaxing away from the city—and comfortable beds. We also really enjoyed the local restaurant tips.

We're offering the Airy Apartment at a special price of $2000 per month for a stay of at least six weeks during April and May. The property has not been occupied during the epidemic and can be a safe refuge. Send us an inquiry. Distinctive 2-bedroom with lots of windows and light and a kind of shabby elegance. Enormous master bedroom with dressing room, 2nd bedroom with twin beds, lovely living room, separate dining room, kitchen. Acre of orchard outside with big porch.
Do you crave space? This grand dame of an apartment has high ceilings and sun pouring in through big windows onto hardwood floors. Lots of amenities but no clutter. It used to be the splendid side of an old boarding house, now a bit worn but still lovely. Our location is in New York, right on the border of the Berkshires, in a perfect position to fan out for destinations north and south. You're just 20 minutes away from Tanglewood, Kripalu Yoga Center and Jiminy Peak Ski. We're an excellent hub, but please make sure that you like our location and love the great value it offers before you book. The property works well for two people, or for a couple joined by two others. The base price is for two people, and we don't charge a cleaning fee. The only other cost is a $15 charge for every additional person (except for kids little enough to be in a crib). The front door opens off a giant front porch into a foyer, where the old staircase winds its way up to the second floor. Step into the big living room, with its four sunny windows, oriental rug, cozy places to sit, books, and marble- topped tables. Set the ample dining room table next door with the full Royal Doulton service; cook up a meal in the nicely stocked kitchen with all its blue and white wares. There's a full-size fridge, stove, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster-- but the sink is a relic. It's an old enamel version from the twenties, and there is no dishwasher. You'll have to enjoy handling all the nice dishes and glassware. But there is good space to work in there, and fine supplies, like coffee, tea, oil, vinegar, and spices. A separate back entrance to the kitchen is really the main way in and is convenient to your car. The bathroom is at the top of the stairs; you'll find a tub with shower, several shelves, and washer/dryer there, as well as a nice array of shampoos and conditioners and soaps. Your towels stay warm on the heated rack. The master bedroom is enormous and airy -- sun pours in from four big windows. The queen- size bed has ample bedside tables and reading lamps; there's also a round table with chairs, a club chair with ottoman, and cable tv. The adjacent dressing room has its own big window, a marble-top chest of drawers, full-length mirrors and a big closet. It's a good place for a portable crib or an air mattress for another little sleeper, too. There is still so much space left that you could waltz in these rooms. The master bedroom gets a great breeze. Summer evenings in this area are rarely too hot, but when that happens, there's air conditioning in this room. The second bedroom has a more cozy feel. It has eaves, a lower ceiling and three small windows, and there's air conditioning here too for a hot day. The twin beds are equipped with swing-arm lighting, and each has its own corner of the room. This is a perfect place to read in the armchair, or do some work at the vintage table in front of the window. This bedroom offers ample space, with a closet and a marble-topped chest of drawers.
If you're not certain about distances, don't hesitate to write us. Mass MOCA makes an unforgettable day trip, for example, but we're not the best base if you plan to go back and forth to North Adams more than once during your stay. The same is true for Albany and Great Barrington, for example. We promise to give you good advice. The upside is that our location right next to the Berkshires is what makes the Airy Apartment at the old boarding house such a good value, and so good for exploring. You can get easily to almost all the places you'd like to see-- more easily, we find, than from some of the Berkshire towns themselves. And whatever New Lebanon lacks in picket fences, it offers in glorious hillside viewscapes. The town has a remarkable allotment of Shaker history. Visit the Shaker museum with its variety of Shaker buildings, or take the self-guided walk by the massive ruin of the Great Stone Barn at Mount Lebanon. This place was recognized by the World Monuments Fund as one of the 100 most significant endangered sites in the world, and it's right here in town. Lebanon Springs, on the other side of town, was utterly famous in the nineteenth century for its warm water spa. It was frequented by the luminaries of the time, such as Charles Dickens, Mark Twain and the Marquis de Lafayette. The warm spring still courses down the hillside, but in obscurity now. In fact, you can download a great app for free called "The Water and the Word". It's a brief driving tour of these kinds of sites in town. Each site has an additional chapter that relates the site to the fascinating history of the country of the time; you don't have to be on the actual driving tour to enjoy that. Listen to it on your way in! There is plenty to enjoy in New Lebanon. We're two miles from the center of town. Stop at Blueberry Hill Market Cafe for coffee and something delicious for breakfast or lunch (and dinners on Friday and Saturday nights). Try M&M's for a late dinner of burgers, wings, and some craft beer, or reserve at Mario's for a fancy meal. Trek along the beaver dams at Hand Hollow Conservation Area. Go to the antique auction at Meissner's on most Saturdays at 4, where we've found astonishing values. The Airy Apartment at the old boarding house is a great retreat both in summer and winter, whether you are looking for a cozy break or search for culture and action. It's perfectly positioned for taking advantage of the Berkshires, including so much fine music, theater, food, art and natural beauty that you can't possibly do it all justice no matter how hard you try. A treat hidden nearby is Queechy Lake, with lifeguard and sandy shore, one of the cleanest and most delicious lakes in New York state. There's also a nice local park in town, with two newly redone tennis courts. Check out our online guidebook for a full listing of the places we love most around here for visit or a meal. We're a good jumping-off point for visiting the Berkshire towns-- it takes about 20 minutes to get to Lenox, Pittsfield and West Stockbridge in Massachusetts, for example. You're also only about twenty minutes from several other historic towns and villages of New York, such as Old Chatham, Canaan, and Spencertown.
  • Wonderful stay as always!

  • We stayed here as a family of four, primarily looking for easy access to the ski areas at Jiminy Peak and Bousquets. The house is really interesting and historical and very spacious indeed. I would recommend the property for a family group or a couple, it is fantastic value for money. Would work well for Tanglewood too.

  • We stayed at the Airy Apartment for 3 nights as part of our winter break for a ski trip to Jiminy Peak. We had a great time. Tegan our host was very welcoming, the apartment was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed plus more. It is super cute and the kids loved the attic room. A quick 20min drive to the mountain made it very convenient. Will definitely return if we ski at Jiminy Peak again.

Large (1500 sq feet), private loft above a soon-to-open "farm brewery" in historic New Lebanon NY, located minutes from Tanglewood, the Berkshires, Jacobs Pillow, Jiminy Peak, and Albany. The red brick building is the lovingly restored Tilden Schoolhouse from 1867.
Completely restored new interior in historic building. Vitamix, Nespresso machine, Sheex on the king-size bed.
The loft is 20 minutes from Tanglewood, Lenox, and 30 mins from Jacob's Pillow, Great Barrington; 35 mins from Albany and SPAC
  • Amazing loft in a cute town. We skied at nearby Jiminy. Excited to come back when the brewery opens.

    Matthew2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This space was so stylish and truly a unique listing. The place was exactly as decribed and pictured, in-fact even better in person! Charles was gracious enough to have an iron delivered for our use when we had asked if one would be available. We really appreciated that above and beyond gesture. The location suggestions provided by host were great. We enjoyed breakfast at the close by Blueberry Hill Market Cafe & enjoyed a dinner at M&M Tavern also located down the street. The loft TV had streaming capabilities of Netflix and Amazon which was nice to utilize during downtime. A few reviews have mentioned the upcoming brewery located downstairs from the loft but as of February 2020 that establishment is still not up and running but looks to be a promising addition to the area. We enjoyed our stay and would book here again.

    Crystalin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great host! Great space!

    James2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Charles' loft for 2 nights, to go skiing for the weekend. The place is amazing. Exactly as in the description, absolutely clean and spacious. The deco is great and it is very peaceful. The location is perfect, 15mn away from Jiminy Peak ski station, and nice restaurant nearby. Charles is available and very welcoming. We definitely recommend this place!

    Hélèna2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very stylish, modern loft. We enjoyed the Meyer's brand cleaning products. If you are sensitive to light, I would recommend bringing a sleep mask, as there are nice big windows which let in a lot of light in the morning.

  • My husband and I arrived on Christmas day, and ran into Dawn and Tony just finishing up cleaning. I didn't even consider that someone may have to come by on Christmas day to fix things up, but they had just had someone leave. They were SO sweet! Both Dawn and Tony, as well as Charles, gave us excellent recommendations (check out Blueberry Hill Cafe down the street for a mean breakfast burrito!). The space is gorgeous! And huge! The location is very direct, and only 15 minutes away from any and all major destinations - including the Norman Rockwell museum! (a special nerdy perk for me). The best part - the loft is above a BREWERY! While it wasn't ready when we visited, we are absolutely going to go back! Thank you so so much for having us!

    Brianna2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay here in a month. Large open space, the kitchen is amazing with practically brand new, sparkling clean, appliances. The bathroom is rather spacious as well. Overall a wonderful treasure hidden in the country. Can’t wait to stay there a third time!

    Dan2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The loft was amazing. Very clean and presentable. Cozy but very spacious. Kitchen amenities and bathroom supplies were very easy to locate. Appliances were almost as if they had just been installed the day before. Even being right off a major roadway, the loft had very little outside noise. A very well done restoration job on a historical building.

  • This is a second visit. This time I had the lower level which was extremely spacious and comfortable: big bed, private bathroom, good size desk, smart tv, and the ability to go right out to the back yard (way too cold to take advantage). Isla is so lovely and hospitable.

We found the location to be central to many of the Berkshire towns and we enjoyed dinners and drinks in both Pittsfield and Lenox. Isla had tea waiting for us when we first arrived and she was very anxious to make us comfortable. Having a private bathroom was also a big bonus. Highly recommend and we plan to return!

We're a great hub, but please make sure that you approve of our location and love the great value it offers before you book. The base price is for two people, and we don't charge a cleaning fee. We keep our costs trimmed by charging $15 to cover the preparation for every additional person (except for kids little enough to be in a crib). There is not much modern about the Sunny Duplex but you'll find countryside, comfort, great access, and a great deal of charm too.
Our neighborhood used to be the center of town back when the old water mills down the street were in operation; now the modern town center with bank, post office and restaurants, is about 2 miles away. There are a handful of historic houses on our road. We live right across the way and can greet you, hand over your keys, and show you around when you arrive. You'll have front and back lockable doors and space for parking in your private driveway. We can also provide good local recommendations and are available in the event of any problem. The duplex at the old boarding house is a great retreat both in summer and winter, whether you are looking for a cozy break or search for culture and action. It's perfectly positioned for taking advantage of the Berkshires, including so much fine music, theater, food, art and natural beauty that you can't possibly do it all justice no matter how hard you try. Tanglewood is about 20 minutes away, and so is the Kripalu Yoga Center. There is a swift, lovely route to get to both of those from here, through pasture and forest, and ending with a wonderful view of the Stockbridge Bowl. In the winter, ski trails at Jiminy Peak or Bousquet are less than a half hour away, and Butternut is just a little farther. Hiking trails and conservancies are everywhere. In the springtime, it's great to see all the leafy woods and so many gardens emerge. It's locavore and farmer's market heaven in the summertime and fall. A treat hidden nearby is Queechy Lake, with lifeguard and sandy shore, one of the cleanest and most delicious lakes in New York state. There's also a nice local park in town, with two nice tennis courts. Check out our online guidebook for a full listing of the places we love most around here for visit or a meal. There are seven fine art museums, eight theater companies, three Shaker villages and two orchestral venues within an hour's radius.
  • As advertised- quaint and clean with responsive (host) communication. Our family had a wonderful stay!

  • We had a great stay at Joes. We skied at Jiminy Peak and the location was great and the restaurants around were great. All around excellent place to stay. Awesome special touches on the house. The eggs were amazing.

  • This was our 2nd stay at this great little house - we love staying here! It’s a quiet and peaceful location and the house itself is super clean and very cozy. We hope to be back again soon!

  • Our stay at the Old Boarding House was great! Very accurate description of the home and location. The house was super clean and very inviting, and the extra touches (great tea and coffee selections!) were very appreciated! The beds were super comfortable and although we did not make much use of it aside from the coffee-maker, the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware, dishes and cooking necessities. Communication with the host was quick and easy and they made us feel welcome. I'd definitely recommend staying at this house when in the area. Thank you for a nice stay!

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The house was nice and cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway! There were special touches such as fresh fruit, coffee, pasta and even Advil that we never received at other rentals which made this place stand out. Easy location and only 20 minutes to jiminy peak made this the perfect spot for us. The owners were very fast to reply. The house was very clean and we loved the wood burning stove! We had a blast and will definitely be back in the future!

    Tracey2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay here and it was just as great the second time as the first. The house warms up quickly, bathroom is clean, nice shower, comfortable beds (including the sofa bed). The hosts are very responsive, but also there was nothing we needed because everything was clear and easy to manage. It's nice that the hosts provide coffee and some cooking items.

Welcome to Shaker Meadows, a historic 18th century Berkshires farm set on 50 acres. The farmhouse has 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room (queen sofa bed), full kitchen, & looks out onto the farm's fields and the Berkshire mountains. Fewer than 10 mins to Hancock Shaker Village, 15 mins to Tanglewood’s concerts or Jiminy Peak—a wonderful base for exploring the art, music, beauty, and history of the Berkshires. Great for couples, families, & solo adventurers. Kid- and pet-friendly.
Shaker Meadows farmhouse and creamery are nestled in 50 acres of land that includes forested mountains, farmland, and a willow-lined pond that feeds into the Shaker Meadows wetlands. This 1700s farmhouse has six bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, dining room, living room & a full kitchen. Note that the 4 of the bedrooms in the farmhouse are located on the second floor up a short flight of stairs. The farmhouse is cooled by in-window air conditioners in the summer. The beds can be configured either as 2 kings, 1 queen sofa bed, 2 fulls, 1 twin, and 1 bunk bed or as 1 queen sofa bed, 2 fulls, 5 twins, and 1 bunk bed. NOTE—The Farmhouse currently does NOT have WiFi or internet access.
Shaker Meadows is fewer than 10 minutes from Hancock Shaker Village, 15 minutes from Tanglewood and Jiminy Peak. It’s a short drive to the Berkshires’ main attractions, whether museums & art (Mass MoCA, Norman Rockwell Museum, the Clark Art Institute, the Berkshire Museum, Shaker Museum), performances (Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, Barrington Stage Company), hiking and exploring (Mt. Greylock, Appalachian Trail, Monument Mountain, Balance Rock, Bash Bish Falls), farms (Ioka Valley Farm, Bartlett’s Orchard), swimming and boating (Queechy Lake is a 3 minute drive, Lake Onota and Pontoosuc Lake are 10 and 20 minutes away), or historic sites (The Mount—Edit Wharton, Arrowhead— Herman Melville, Chesterwood—Daniel Chester French, Steepletop—Edna St. Vincent Millay, Ashley House—Mum Bett).
  • Great space for a group of friends or large family. There's lots of space for eating and socializing separately so people are not crammed together. Really appreciated that the bathrooms were somewhat renovated and well stocked with towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, and toothpaste packets - unexpected nice touch. Heating was great even on super cold winter nights. It's a great location for getting to popular places in the Berkshires. The house is right on a road so you might hear some cars/trucks whizzing by at times, but it's not a lot and not loud. And the beds are super comfy!

    Lindsay2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great house for a ski trip!

    Mike2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a family gathering. Meals and games around the large dining table. Drawing and play in the adorable little nook adjacent to the living room. We really appreciated the loop hike in the backyard. The ceilings are low in the upstairs. Not a big deal, but fair warning to tall guests. The whole house has a wonderful old farmhouse charm!

    Weldon2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house was charming and accommodated our group of 11 very nicely!

    Caitlin2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our group. We went to kripalu for a day trip and it was fairly close. The fire pit in the back as great and the communication with the owner was fast. Great place!

    Juniet2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a great house! Our kids loved the fire pit and exploring the woods. The fields provided endless fun, and the house itself has so much character! The house is also perfectly located, with easy access to Mt. Greylock, restaurants in Pittsfield and other smaller towns nearby, biking on the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, etc. We'll be back for sure!

    Tim2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay.

    Erik2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We only had one night at Shaker Meadows but would have liked longer. The house is full of simple charm and very comfortable. There was an abundance of towels and toiletries in all three bathrooms. Beds were comfy and beautifully dressed. The nearby highway is noisy, but not so during sleeping hours. We didn’t meet the host but check-in was painless.

Our place is a central location in Berkshire County, short drive to restaurants and shops; art and culture, skiing and hiking also close by. You’ll love this former train station( next to the Housatonic RR tracks) which is on three acres between a chapel, the scenic Housatonic River and October Mountain. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Entrance is off a rear deck to a shared entrance foyer. There are three steps from the driveway to the deck and one step into the foyer. Your room is off the foyer, and with the bathroom is fully contained . You will be given keys for the foyer door and the door to your room. You also can control the heat in your room. You have a coffee maker, microwave and a small refrigerator.
Tanglewood is about 6 miles away, and Kripula 6.3 miles. Bousquet Ski Resort is 3 miles north, and Jiminy Peak 16 miles.
  • Great value and Charlie and Margaret are helpful and responsive! Quiet and simple. I find the space very calm and convenient for my Berkshire visits.

    Elizabeth2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space Thoughtful touches (cold apple cider in the fridge, chocolate, tea bags, coffee, and hot chocolate, toiletries) Friendly host Fast wifi, hot shower, responsive thermostat Charlie met us at the door and was so friendly! The location is perfect: quiet enough to sleep but close to a downtown for food and supplies. You can't beat the price, location, and hospitality of this spot. It is FAR better than any motel.

    Alexandra2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Room was perfect! One thing they don’t say up front is the building is the ole train station, store front, and rented rooms from way back in the day. Very cool history! The train went by about 10pm however it was fast and kind of exciting. Lol Great location! Close to restaurants and ski! We will be back!

    Beth-Ann2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • A really cute little spot just minutes from Butternut and Great Barrington, Charlie and Margaret’s place did not disappoint. They also were very accommodating as they let us check out later.

    Susannah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie and Margaret's place provides a very comfy and spacious environment. The bed has a mattress that is extremely comfortable and is dressed in nice thick linens. Although everything was extremely clean, many of the fixtures are retro/old but working just fine. Upon entering the room there is a slight mildewy smell that seems to disappear after staying in the room a few minutes, so ultimately we were not bothered by it. Provided in the room is a swivel chair and rocker for reading, a chest to place suitcase at a nice level, a closet to hang coats and a dresser with lots of drawers. A microwave, keurig coffee maker, water bottles, and a couple of chocolate mints were nice touches, making the room more like a studio apt. The bathroom is small but provides all necessities (to keep warm, door must be left open). Communication was easy timely. Allowing us to pick up keys early in the day allowed us easy access later that night.

    Eileen2019-12-29T00:00:00Z

  • Carolyn was easy-going and provided a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy snacks and coffee by the fireplace before heading out to dinner and in the morning before our departure. The bed was incredibly comporta le and cozy, and the bathroom was well appointed and lovely. She went above and beyond in her offers of assistance, and her dogs were sweet and friendly. I definitely recommend staying in her warm and sunny home if you visit the Richmond area.

A wonderful welcoming house in a beautiful residential neighborhood with no occupancy taxes! We are 15-25 minutes from Tanglewood, Kripalu, Mt Greylock, the Rockwell Museum, MassMoCA, skiing and hiking. Our home is centrally located to all of the fun things to do in the Berkshires. We've lived here for over 20 years and are happy to provide helpful insights for your stay. One of the reasons we love the Berkshires is that each season offers wonderfully unique experiences for any visitor.
The large guest suite/studio is perfect for three people with a comfortable and luxurious king-sized bed, twin bed and plus a queen-sized air mattress can be added to accommodate more guests. The spacious room also offers a private full bath, seating area (loveseat, TV and coffee table ), office space (desk with comfortable chair) plus a large walk-in closet for your belongings. A mini-refrigerator and microwave is provided to guests as well as coffee, tea and a light breakfast of homemade banana bread, oatmeal and other snacks. The guest room is located on our second floor so there are steps to get into our home as well as into the guest area.
We live directly across the street from an elementary school so the area is busy for a small period of time each morning and each afternoon when school is in session. Otherwise it is a diverse and safe neighborhood with kids traveling back and forth to the playground and adults walking, biking and running.
  • Scott and Josie are great hosts and super nice! Their place is convenient, clean and has everything you need. I would definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.

  • Josie and Scott are excellent hosts with hearts that care. My space was clean and organized and I greatly appreciated the banana bread, hot water heater for tea, plenty of clean towels, and easy access to rest of the house. I was close to Guido's market, a fresh food market with coffee and food bar and my drive to Kripalu was pleasant and easy. The room is very large and allows for ample space and comfort. The four cats are pretty cute too. Josie and Scott are thoughtful, experienced hosts, I would definitely stay there again when in the area! Superhosts indeed.

  • Couldn’t have asked for better hosts or a better space!

    Jessie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay with Josie was comparable in every way to the first: wonderful host, beautiful accommodations.

    Rebecca2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Josie and her family were amazing hosts! We booked 1 night because we were skiing in the area, and they were so wonderful it made us wish we were able to stay another night. I had never stayed in an AirBnB room that was in the same house as the hosts, but it was truly so nice and comfortable with Josie and Scott. Will definitely book them again if I need to stay in the area again!

    Nicole2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have been happier with our stay at Josie's place. They are warm, inviting, and hospitable. The space was everything we could have asked for and more. Highly recommended!

  • We were very impressed with this location. It is set on a beautiful estate. The host was able to accommodate a last minute change in our stay date due to inclement weather and our accommodations were upgraded because of the weather since they were not able to plow the area on the estate that we would have stayed. Great communication, wonderful check-in experience and a beautiful location. Highly recommend.

  • Dawn was an awesome host, very responsive to all of our needs and questions.

    Jim2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I had a great long weekend at the Cozy Condo. The condo was spacious with 2 adults and an infant and could have fit another couple since there were 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 1.5 bathrooms. The location was incredibly scenic and convenient for getting to restaurants and stores in Williamstown, as well as to downtown North Adams. Our visit was in the summer, but for skiers or snowboarders, the location is right at Jiminy Peak. We'd love to be back in the future!

    Eric2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this adorable little cottage. It was very convenient to our venue. Dawn was a great hostess and we will surely be staying there again.

    Milt2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn is fast to respond.....the condo wasn't ready for us when we got there, but Dawn made sure to find someone quickly. We left for a little while and when we got back, the condo was spotless. Dawn refunded part of our money for the inconvenience. The condo itself is located in a beautiful area and was within 20 minutes of everything I needed. Will definitely consider staying there again if I ever make it back to that side of the country.

New lebanon is a great little town.
  • The place is cute and charming. Overall my stay was cozy and Wendy was very warm and welcoming. She has an adorable pup too! Would def come back and stay again next time I travel to the area.

    Karina2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy is a excellent and warm host. I really enjoyed our conversations and learning about her historic home. Her home is a 200+ year old colonial with a lot of history from Lebanon dating back to the 1700's. The home is warm and welcoming. My accommodations were great, just what I was looking for. It's right off Route 22 North and I had a short ride to Jiminy Peak for a wonderful ski day with friends. I highly recommend a stay at Wendy's home.

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this 1700's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working grass fed beef farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided. Farm tours are also available at any time, there is always a variety of animals to visit with. Instagram: @shadowbrook_farm
The barn is set with a very open floor plan, it essentially all one room besides the bathroom. There is bed space for four, a very high loft with a king bed, and a bunk bed down stairs in the back corner. This space could potentially sleep many more than four. It is heated with radiant heat. It has a fully functional kitchen with a beautiful maple counter top. Cabinets and other decorations are all shaker inspired. There is a large fireplace and also a stone fire ring on the patio, both of which can be stocked with wood. The television is run off of the wifi, it is a smart TV. Guests may sign in to their respective accounts on the various media apps. If not, arrangements can be made.
This house is 13 miles from Jiminy Peak, 13 miles from Chatham, and 25 miles from Hudson. We are also 15 miles from the wonderful Tanglewood, which happens to be a very scenic drive. The surrounding towns (Hudson, Chatham, Kinderhook, and Great Barrington) host a variety fabulous food options. Guests are provided with a list of our top restaurant picks.
  • No surprises here. The renovated Shadowbrook barn is exactly as pictured and was a great place to stay with my wife and two young kids to serve as our home base in the Berkshires for the week. It has a very nice kitchen and bathroom, great fireplace and is a cozy and unique place to bunker down at night. Joe was very responsive when I had any questions. The property and grounds are beautiful. We loved walking over to the farm's store and meeting Muta! He escorted us all the way back and was fantastic around the kids. Solid real wifi so I was comfortable staying in touch with work (if that's an issue for you). Just as pictured, the layout is open with a big bed in the loft and the bunk beds downstairs and around a corner. It was not an issue for us with young kids that go to sleep early (especially after a day of skiing). All-in-all what you see is what you get with the pictures and it really was a great place to stay.

    Noah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Spend such a fun weekend upstate! It was really hard leaving and we cannot wait to go back!

    Fiona2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph's place is so beautiful! We had a great experience. My hubby and twin boys went skiing up at Jiminy Peak for a few days, and this place met our every need. Super clean, thoughtful touches, a very well stocked kitchen that was perfect for cooking or entertaining, a beautiful fireplace, and animals! My kids fell in with Muta the dog! We would definitely visit again when we are in the area.

    Maria2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gorgeous and cozy cabin! We only stayed for one night but we had the fireplace going the whole time. It was a perfect pit stop in pit way further afield. The owners have such a cute farm shop too with meat they raise on the farm.

    Nora2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is beautiful and well appointed. The fireplace is incredible. We went through a ton of wood. Proximity to Jiminy Peak was great for us. Loved walking the grounds. Seeing the animals. Joseph was very responsive when necessary. Would just keep in mind that the barn is one continuous space with an open air loft - no actual bedrooms. Worked fine for my family but would love to come back with just my wife.

    Eliot2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very special place and I highly recommend! We just visited during a chilly / snowy December and could not have asked for more! We loved the fireplace especially but also the peace and quiet and truly beautiful setting of the farm. Joe was right there if we needed access to the wonderful store (we made several terrific meals in fabulous kitchen with local meats and produce!) Firewood, etc. Please check it out! If you want to see true farm life and pride of thoughtful management look no further! Also - there are several local wonderful resturants and shopping experiences nearby as well!

    Don2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Shadowbrook farm was absolutely wonderful! My wife and I had each of our families meet there on Thanksgiving day and had one truly memorable holiday. The kitchen had all we needed to prepare the meal. With plenty of plates and wine glasses for all. The fireplace both inside and added to the charm and warmth of the home. The home was clean and had everything we needed! I would highly recommend!

  • Jackie does not skimp on details, amenities, communication or support. The room was well-appointed, very comfortable and clean. Location is superb as well. Short walk to downtown Lenox, short drive to other great, local activities.

  • For those yogis who are looking for a convenient alternative to the Kripalu accommodations, Jackie's place is as close as you can get, but still feels separate from the bustle of K.

  • Jackie’s communication is great, very detailed instructions which made checking in easy. She also checked in with me to make sure i was comfortable and had everything I needed. The room is very clean, comfortable, quiet and stocked with toiletries should you forget anything! Bed is also very comfy! Location is great, short walk downtown to Lenox, close to Tanglewood and Kripalu. I would highly recommend Jackie and Paul’s & would absolutely stay there again!

  • Fantastic. The term Superhost is not an exaggeration. Relaxed, beautiful, clean and thoughtfully laid out, I'd come back here in a heartbeat. Very close to the wonderful restaurants of downtown Lenox. The tub! Great bed! Pleasant people!

    Emily2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Jackie's place. It is the best appointed airbnb we have ever stayed at. She has clearly and carefully thought out everyone's needs and fulfilled them all. Very comfortable. Great location to discover the Berkshires.

    Beth2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This room is amazing. It is so cozy and welcoming as well as spacious. All the amenities are there from the plushy bathrobe to extra blankets to cleansers and toothbrushes in case they were forgotten at home. Jackie really did think of everything. The heat works great, the bed is comfortable, the jacuzzi tub is awesome, and the internet actually worked the first time I tried. But more than all that, it just felt like a perfect, safe, wonderful space to be in during my weekend at Kripalu. I really recommend the off-campus experience if you are looking for a bit more privacy. Thank you so much!

    Dillon2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie’s place was wonderful. We stayed 2 nights and although it was cold and icy outside we were cozy and warm inside! The suite is on the 3rd floor of a lovely home. Access is easy and Jackie was very responsive when we had questions. The suite also had everything we could need! We had access to the shared kitchen but only used it to store left overs in the frig. and heat water for tea. Town is within walking distance (about 1/2 mile) and has many, many places to eat and shop.

    Kellie2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a comfortable, lovely 3rd-floor suite in a warmly welcoming (yet privacy-friendly) home. Beautiful interior, lovely skylights, wooden floors, super-comfy bed, awesome bathtub and consummate hosts. Shared kitchen on first floor allowed us to save money instead of eating out all the time.
